I think one of the biggest mistakes someone watching spn could ever make is to think that Sam isn’t just as unable to let go of Dean as Dean is of him. I can think of at least 5 seasons worth of plot, off the top of my head, that depends on/happens because of entirely that

so now the monsters are running from you, instead of the other way around

i think a lot of people don’t realise that cas pulling dean out of hell in lazarus rising wasn’t cas pulling dean off the rack, it was cas pulling dean AWAY FROM the rack, away from the people he was torturing

the first time cas touched dean he saw the pain dean was inflicting on other people, saw the way he enjoyed it, and it didn’t change how pure dean was to him, it didn’t make him any less good

I love Sam bc he is so careful and polite and u can watch him put on his little 'I am a trustworthy young man who is so normal and good at socializing' mask when talking to witnesses ooh sympathetic nod hand on the shoulder. But he is SUCH A JUDGY BITCH. someone says something he finds yucky and he makes his patented little chihuahua face of disdain before tucking it away under his bland civil platitudes but every so often he will just toss out the read of the century like it's nothing to him. I will never get sick of this.

Rewatching season 6 and I just think that we all moved on a little too quickly from how terrifyingly good Castiel is at "interrogation".

Ripping people's heads with his bare hands, torturing monsters (even the relatively good ones) to get information about purgatory out of them, being described as even worse than Crowley at carving people out (and that's saying something because Crowley is BAD bad).

It's here when him being an ANGEL really comes into the play. He's almost always the most powerful being in the room, his meek-looking vessel only acting as a decoy for people to brush him off as harmless. But this season really delves into why he was one of Heaven's most decorated soldiers and why it was specifically him who was chosen to lead the siege to hell way back in season 4.

He's a fucking war machine, no wonder everyone's a little afraid of him.

I kind of don't like how a lot of people forget that despite all the angst and the drama around Dean and Cas they are fundamentaly best friends.

How many times did Dean say it throught the entire show? Bobby in season 6 saying "Well, you just lost the best friend you ever had."

For Bobby to say that, knowing Dean better than even Sam in some regards, how many times had Dean been sitting with Castiel on the couch in his living room?

Cas doesn't sleep, and rarely does Dean, with the Apocalypse looming right behind him.

So all they had left, in those quiet nights were each other. And they were okay with it, because they liked each other's company.
