Who would have thought that the Master diviner would accept an arranged marriage. For someone to stand beside her, they surely had to be someone of equal status and a strong quality of character. So of course she landed with the most eligible bachelorette. A daughter from a family of great standing and influence in the Xianzhou Luofu.

She could foresee how her future wife would be--but such predictions faltered in comparison to how she actually looked like in person,

Fu Xuan panicked as all rational sense shuts down. It was up to her newly beloved to lean in and seal the deal. With a grin, her wife cups Fu Xuan's face, their lips finally come together and the diviner swears she felt the equivalent of watching the sunrise for the first time. She was stiff at first, not that her wife really minded, she was more so amused, actually.

Eventually, she melts at her touch but then she's being pulled away suddenly. Had she forgetten to breathe? Oh, how she hated her pitiful being for needing air to part from those lips...

Her eyes open and she sees that dreamy sight of her again...the world slowly coming back to her as the sounds of people cheering returns. She couldn't help herself and unconsciously pouts at the separation. Never mind the crowd of people clapping for them, she wants her wife to hold her captive again.

Honestly, between you and her, she couldn't tell who really benefitted the most from this arranged marriage. If she had to choose, it would definitely be this very fortunate Master diviner.

• She'll never admit how much power such a woman holds on her, not that's it needed since it's painfully clear when all her attention and word is dedicated to her wife at the slightest mention.

so when straight people ask me why I say I’m “queer” or “gay” instead of sharing my actual identity as a panromantic demisexual non-binary sapphic queer I just tell them “ok look, when you’re talking to someone who isn’t local and they ask you where you’re from and you either say the name of the largest city nearby or ‘town name, suburb of large nearby city’ so they can get some geographical context of where you’re located right, bc they’re probably not going to know the name of the little town you actually live in.”

but if you’re talking to a local you can say the name of your actual town bc they have a greater chance of knowing where/what that is.

ok well when I’m talking to a straight person I start with queer bc chances are they aren’t as familiar with the context of all the little towns in that big queer city and need gps (gay positioning system) to find me.

if I’m talking to another queer person and I say I live in a suburb of gay city in a town called panromantic on the demisexual side of the tracks which is in the county of queer and I live off the intersection of non-binary and sapphic, they’d probably be able to find me with little to no problems, make sense?

My favorite part about being sapphic is when the things I love about other women become things I love about myself. One day I was tracing another woman’s stretch marks in a dim bedroom light. And then, seemingly by accident, I was doing it to myself in my bathroom mirror. I loved the feeling of a full hand of flesh when I grabbed a woman’s hips, and then mine didn’t need to be so skinny anymore. I looked at a woman’s lower stomach pudge and thought it was so soft and cute, then never wanted a flat stomach again. Loving women can be so healing when you come from a world that doesn’t.
