in season seven, i need a parallel where eddie gets a call from buck, smiles widely as he answers, then immediately drops the smile when he hears buck crying. then i need eddie to immediately go to the loft and be there for buck.

its not that im saying buddie wont happen but it wont happen season 7. in hindsight the cast interview it always seemed like oliver had a stake in this buddie topics while ryan was kinda of feeding into it not taking it as seriously. id assume this is because while oliver was actively acting out his bi-character arc, ryan was relatively uninvolved in a queer storyline.

My predictions for season 7, if they do make buddie canon: episode one there'll be some sort of soft opening, something that looks like it could be romantic, but still deniable given what the writers have claimed as straight so far, and Buck and Eddie will most likely still be with Natalia and Marisol respectively, but some issues start to spring up. For the next few episodes their relationships (with each other and their girlfriends) will be a sort of latent plot point, there behind everything, but not the main focus of the episodes. Episode 4, the famed Buck Bothered Bewildered, will focus on Buck (shocker) and his feelings and I think will end with him breaking up with Natalia, but Eddie will still be with Marisol. then in ep 5, Eddie will be having some problems with Marisol, as Buck starts to realize his feelings for Eddie. Buck goes to talk to Eddie, knowing that he and Marisol are on the fritz, but he sees them making up and decides to walk away. the episode ends and we're slapped with a two-week hiatus before episode 6: the Madney wedding. Episode 6 is super awkward between the two of them, but then there's some emergency (maybe before the wedding?) that the two of them have to handle and they end up trapped together (think mini bottle episode) and they start to work their shit out, and are let free in time to make it to the wedding, but not change.

not sure if they get together in the wedding episode, or the last episode, because I feel like they would get together in the wedding episode, but I also feel like the writers would leave it to the last minute.

So, there is something strange about MK. He's... not a stone monkey according to Inky and Subodhi. (I have my doubts in them.) But he is the Harbinger of Chaos. Which is why the Lady Bone Demon wanted to get rid of him.

There's more to it than that.

Destruction was also mentioned.

MK has been the cause of a lot of the destruction. But whatever’s ahead will not be caused by him. And all bc he picked up the staff.

Wukong is def still in the scroll.

And I'm beginning to suspect that Azure isn't Azure. Someone's impersonating, er, imlionating him. I don't have any solid theories yet of who it could be, but maybe 1 of the gods?

I'm also thinking that Azure and the 2 others of their group have been stuck in that scroll for a very long time.

Circling back to MK, what if that little clay monkey is MK? And he was destroyed bc he is the Harbinger? That would be a good reason.

But hmmmm... that brings up more questions. I"m going to have to sleep on this

I’ve seen so many theories about the rest of season 7 and this is kind of my spin off from what I’ve seen + my own addition!

Obviously spoilers for season 7 so far and also a lot of leaked / teased info about the rest of the season!

I very much agree we are getting a more Eddie focused story as the season continues not only because there was a storyline introduced with no resolve yet (his catholic guilt and his reflection on that) but also because of the synopsis for the next ep, also on top of that the photo of an aged up Shannon, and even the fact that Eddie’s whole family is going to be in an ep. The popular theory being that his family is in LA because Eddie is going to get badly hurt and from that they find out about Buck being in his will, this isn’t a theory I completely disagree with because that’s 100% plausible also why else would have an aged up Shannon unless it’s for some coma dream or something (we aren’t sure what ep it’s for since they film out of order so it could even be for next ep and just be a weird dream). I have a bit of a different theory. I do think his family will find out about the will but I don’t think anything will happen to Eddie. I think his family comes to LA bc of the medals of valor they are receiving and because of that their conversation sort of gets on the topic of what would happen if Eddie died on the job since there is a huge focus on the danger of that save! From that his parents find out about Buck. I do agree they won’t be happy with his decision but (maybe just being hopeful) I think their main reason will just be confusion, not homophobia or anger just confusion on how this friends gets his kid instead of his grandparents.

I know it’s not super nuanced but I don’t think they’d pull another near death experience for Eddie.

Buck fucks with Tommy in 7x1 right after break up with Natalia and then starts dating him and that's his arc for this season

He and Tommy are in secret relationship and Buck likes when they kiss behind trucks of their teams, and likes to steal Tommy's helmet with "captain" during the kiss and that's how they were outed by 118 and Eddie being jealous and Buck talks with him in the gym

here’s my s7 prediction no one asked for:

-we last saw buck deliver “his” baby then hand said baby off to kameron

-buck is going to go into baby fever and be open about how he wants a baby

-natalia will definitely not want a baby and won’t be afraid to tell buck so.

-buck would be crushed since he thought that relationship would work but he doesn’t want to continue it if it means no baby

-buck ends up at the Diaz household, eddie trying to cheer buck up without suspicion and chris would be too busy showing buck all about his current hobby to notice any different moods in buck

-eddie would send chris off to bed, chris would leave with “goodnight dads!” after hugging each man

-buck would be sent in a state of shock and would be questioning when exactly he became a dad to the boy

-eddie would just smirk at him when buck finally looks up and say “we see you, you idiot.” and walk back to the kitchen.

i’m CONVINCED.

when abuela is with eddie at the wedding and she points to buck and tommy slow dancing and says “that should be you and him” what then?

Should I tell you what would be really cool? If season 7 Episode 1of 9-1-1 started out with Eddie sitting in a church or someplace, his elbows in his knees, his face in his hands and muttering “Am I gay?” Or something like that. Then the episode starts as normal, maybe with the subtext saying ‘5 hours earlier’ or something like that, and we see how it got to that point, or without the subtext. And the episode is just filled with a bunch of Buddie being Buddie, on calls, at home, everywhere. And Buck is acting normal and all, but Eddie starts thinking about his relationship with Buck and realising that everything they do and how they act together, is usually how people in a relationship act (like Maddie and Chimney, Hen and Karen, Bobby and Athena, etc). Cue the end of the episode where it shows him sitting in the church again, same position, but this time muttering “I’m gay, aren’t I?” Or something along those lines. The End.

I’m curious, how did you come to the conclusion that Izzy might be captured? Love your theories btw, you’ve got a great eye for things!

Thanks! A few things make me think he is captured, but the only thing that is certain from the trailers and BTS is that in episode 7 he is with the crew outside Spanish Jackies just before the raid, and then the next time we see him he is with Ricky. Now, he is wearing a military jacket in episode 8, which could suggest that he betrays the crew and joins the English. But I just don’t think this makes sense with his character arc, and if he does defect to the English, he is only doing it to protect the crew and double cross Ricky later.

I think Ricky capturing Izzy makes the most sense. He can’t really run with his new leg, which could make it easier for him to be caught. He is a great hostage for Ricky, as he has worked as first mate to both Ed and Stede, and so has valuable information on them and could be used for ransom. It shows great character progression if he chooses not to betray the crew and protects them from English, which contrasts to season 1 when he sold them out to the English. It also shows how far the crew have come from hating Izzy in season 1 to risking their lives to save him because he is now family “our dick” “our unicorn” etc. I think this is evidenced in Izzy’s line in the season 2 Patti Smith trailer where he says piracy is about “belonging to something”

I think also it would be a great moment if Blackbeard is the one to rescue him. It would act as Blackbeards moment of redemption AND an opportunity to show Izzy the love he has for him.

Star Wars: The Bad batch Season 3 Episode 6: Infiltration and Episode 7: Extraction PREDICTIONS
