Summary: Sebastian shows her just how much she means to him. She's not sure she's worthy of his love.

The sun peeking into the room and landing on her eyes, awakes her. She’s initially confused by the warmth surrounding her, until she feels his gentle breath followed by the rise and fall of his chest. She’s still locked firmly in Sebastian’s arms, their fingers intertwined. Loosening her grip, she adjusts herself to face him. 

The pale morning sun illuminates his resting features. His face, adorned with numerous freckles, is peaceful and his dark hair is mussed. She reaches out to him to trace the tips of her fingers along his cheek, following the erratic path of his freckles. He’s soft under her touch and a warmth blossoms in her chest. She brushes away his hair from his handsome face, admiring the contrast of his coarse hair compared to his skin. For as long as she’s known him, she can’t recall ever actually looking at him.

Not like this. 

She starts with the sharp rise of his cheekbones, his black eyelashes a stark contrast to his tanned skin. His dark brows are thick, eased in a serene expression. She traces over his nose, noting a small bump on the ridge - from a fight, no doubt. Trailing down his nose, she hovers just above his lips. They’re curved in a slight smile. She muses how he looks mischievous even while sleeping. Carefully, she touches over his full lips, noting how soft and warm they are under her fingers. Then she brushes along his jawline, heading back to his temple to stroke his hair. He’s a handsome man, especially now with how the light of the morning sun kisses his face.  

His eyes slowly flutter open, and he gazes at her. His dark eyes draw her in, and she’s warmed by how bright they are. They’ve always captivated her, his eyes. They hold mysteries, secrets, passion - all the things that make him the way he is. She’s always found him easy to read, because his eyes told her everything. 

Except now. 

She doesn’t understand what she sees looking into his dark depths besides herself staring back. Her heart skips a beat, her breath growing heavier, as he matches her gentle touch. He caresses her tear-stained cheek with tenderness, but his warmth singes her skin all the same. He’s so warm. So very warm. 

She shifts to be closer to him until their breaths mingle and her nose brushes his. He tangles his leg around hers while he continues his gentle strokes along her cheek. She’s never been so close to him before. Strange feelings swirl in her chest and tighten her stomach, and he hasn’t once looked away from her. Yet, she still feels too far away with an overpowering longing for more. Drawing closer, her lips gravitate to his, and her eyes flicker up to him.  Finding no apprehension, she presses her lips against his, feeling their softness and warmth. A spark ignites within her as his lips press back.

When they part, it’s only to ensure he’s still fine with this, and then she eagerly crushes her lips against him in a more needy kiss. He cups her cheek, wrapping his arm around her back, pulling her flush against him. He feels so good. He makes her feel… alive. A fire catches within her cold, broken heart and she can breathe again. Her fingers tangle with his unruly locks and his tongue pushes into her mouth to dance with hers. The taste of salty tears mingling with a bitter sweetness, similar to dark chocolate, drives them deeper into each other.

He rolls over, now on top of her, pressing his body more into her. She lets out a whimper, craving his touch and his weight on top of her. He doesn’t hold back, his kiss is filled with passion as if he’s been waiting for this his whole life. Breaking the kiss, he gazes down at her with sweet adoration. He tucks away her stray hairs with a soft smile, but a coldness seeps back into her. 

Ominis used to look at her with that exact expression. A sudden guilt crashes over her at what she’s doing, and she shuts her eyes with a whimper.

“I’m sorry,” she whispers. 

His eyes widen, his fingers still stroke her cheek, and he presses his forehead to hers. 

“Why? What’s wrong?” He asks, his eyes searching for hers.

She opens her eyes, finding herself lost in his dark depths, but she resists being pulled in further. 

“I… I don’t know what this means to me, but I can see this means everything to you. And… I don’t want to lose you too, Sebastian. I can’t lose you too.”

His gaze softens, “If you want this, then so do I. It can be once, or a hundred times. My feelings for you won’t change, sweetheart. I will always love you,” he says, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead.

She lets out a soft noise, a near whine, at his confession.

He… loves her. 

Somehow it doesn’t surprise her. Deep down, she’s always known he harbored feelings for her. Feelings she’s never had for him… until now. She’s not sure what to make of them though. Are they true? Or just something to smother her broken heart? Her eyes fill with pain. It hurts him to see her with such agony and conflict. 

“I don’t know if I can ever truly love you back,” she whispers. “Not like you deserve. My heart belongs to him. And that’s not fair to you. You deserve someone who will love you, fully, not… not like this.”

He shakes his head, “I only want your happiness. That’s it. I just want to make you happy.”

She tentatively cups his face, her heart racing as she studies his features. His eyes hold only understanding, and she doesn’t know what to do. He’s always been someone she considers her closest friend, but she’s never looked at him in this sort of light before. It frightens her how much she wants him, but it frightens her more to stop.

“Tell me what you want, sweetheart,” he says in a pleading tone. “Whatever it is. Tell me.”

She lets out a shuddering breath, her mind reeling with what to do.

“You make me feel so warm,” she finally whispers. “And I… don’t want to be cold anymore.”

“Then, if that’s what you want,” he whispers just as quietly back. 

He lowers himself back down and kisses her. He’s gentle, but there’s an underlying hunger he’s keeping at bay. Her trembling hands move along his neck and down to his chest, exploring his body, before tugging at his sweater to remove it. He grins against her lips as he pushes himself up to appease her. He tosses the offending garment off to the side, revealing his bare chest. Her eyes widen as she takes in the bare expanse of his body. He’s about to resume kissing her when she gently pushes against his shoulders. Worry dances in his eyes, and she blushes, looking away.

“I… I would like to look at you,” she admits in a quiet voice. 

He smiles and nods. He helps them both sit up, and her heart is about to beat out of her chest. His body is lean from traversing the countryside so often, with some definition of muscle. Her hands tremble as she rests them on his broad shoulders. He grips her hips while she explores his arms and chest, his thumbs stroking the flesh on her hips. She admires the freckles which adorn him, like kisses from the sun or the countless stars in the night sky. Her palm rests over his heart, feeling it beat just as fast as her own. 

His grip on her hips tighten, pulling her flush with his bare chest, while her hands glide up his neck all the way up to his reddening cheeks. She’s never noticed how beautiful of a man he is. Holding his face, she gazes into his eyes with awe, his breath hitching at her intensity. If Ominis was like the cool moon, then Sebastian is like the summer sun. He is all consuming and she’s never been so willing to be burned.

“Sebastian,” she whispers.

His eyes flutter, and he nuzzles into her palm, “Yes?”

Summoning her courage and wits, she says, “I want this. But only if you do, too. I… I don’t want your pity. I just want you.”

He holds her gaze, dragging his fingers up her body until he tangles them into the nape of her neck.

“And I don’t want your regret, sweetheart. I can’t bear to lose you too.”

His eyes are earnest and plead with her. He holds her firmly, their chests rising and falling in time with each other. She strokes his cheeks with her thumbs, a decision solidifying in her mind.

And she dives in.

She kisses him with all the longing she has kept within. Sebastian moans, losing himself in her desperation, and he matches her intensity. She quickly falls behind and he eagerly savors the soft noises she makes, raring to hear more. His lips trail down to her neck, sucking sharply before kissing the reddening flesh. She angles her head to allow him unhindered access, and she can feel his smirk as he sucks and nibbles. 

Her clothes are ripped and torn away in a deft movement, and she’s lowered back onto the bed. She watches him with wide eyes as he takes off the rest of her clothes then his own. Her breathing picks up as she gazes upon his fully bare form, his arousal obvious. Sebastian smiles as he lowers himself to her stomach. He presses tender kisses along her body, slowly mapping every inch of her as he makes his way up. 

His touch lingers on her breasts, teasing over the supple flesh. The slight tremble in his hands gives him away just as he takes her nipple into his mouth. Sucking and swirling over the raised peak, she lets out small gasps and breaths. He flicks his eyes up to her, watching intently for every tiny reaction written upon her flushed face. Her fingers grip onto his upper arm, frozen by his teasing tongue as he gives the same treatment to the other side. 

She grabs his hand, placing a kiss on his palm, then she drags him back down to her hungry lips. Tangling her fingers in his hair, she lets her other hand feel down his back and along his side. 

He groans with a slight thrust of his hips when her heated body becomes flushed with his.  Feeling his hot cock pulsing against her, makes her whole body yearn for him. He seeks her eyes, ensuring she’s still wanting this, and his heart skips a beat at the lust which inflames her. 

He presses himself into her, and she’s lost in how full and tight she feels, gasping and whimpering for more. His moans are needy and desperate as he begins to unravel inside her. Their lips are locked together in a heated kiss as their bodies intertwine. With his body on top of her, she’s in a bliss of warmth.

He’s nothing like her Ominis, and she’s thankful for it. No, Sebastian is wholly himself - reckless and passionate. His grunts and moans send shivers down her spine while she kisses and nips his freckled neck and shoulder. He thrusts into her with such force, it rattles the entire bed - slamming it into the wall with every snap of his hips. She wraps her legs around him, driving him further into this frenzy. The fire between them comes to a full raging inferno.

“Look at me,” he demands with a breathy moan. 

His fingers nestle themselves into the nape of her hair while his eyes hold hers. The intensity she finds within his dark gaze makes her shiver. His panting breath fans across her face as he drives deeper into her. Her hand finds itself lodged into his unruly locks, while her other hand grips onto his shoulder for dear life. 

It’s not long before they both reach a gasping, breathless climax. He lets out a soft moan - a near whine - as he fills her with his warm release. She urges his lips to hers, sharing a lasting kiss to solidify the moment while he continues to thrust softly into her. He collapses on top of her, his chest panting in time with hers. She holds him close, urging him to the crook of her neck where he places tender kisses on the harsh marks he left earlier. His arms wrap around, engulfing her in a loving embrace.

They lay there for sometime as the morning sun traverses the quaint room, casting its rays upon them. When he regains himself, he looks up at her with an adoring smile. Kissing his way up her neck to her cheek, he delicately plays with a lock of her hair between his fingers, his eyes filled with awe as if he’s beholding something truly magnificent. He wraps an arm behind her neck, bringing her into a deep kiss. Brushing his nose against hers with a soft smile, he whispers,

“You’re beautiful.”

She closes her eyes, resting her forehead against his, and breathing in his spiced scent. He kisses her, tenderly and slowly, as he begins to rise.

“Let me make you breakfast,” he says with a toothy grin.

She smiles, “I wouldn’t mind helping you.”

As if he couldn’t look any more adoring at her, he all but swoons as he places another kiss on her lips. With a bright smile, he rolls out of bed and playfully drags her along, carrying her like a bride in his arms. 

“Sebastian!” She giggles while he takes her down the stairs to the kitchen. 

“Yes, sweetheart?” He teases, kissing her hot cheek.

They make breakfast, or at least she tries to, as Sebastian can’t take his hands off her for more than a moment. But she finds his arms around her to be more enjoyable than anything else. As they eat, they both find themselves catching each other’s gazes, smiling each time. Afterwards, they finally dress themselves and tidy up. She’s washing the dishes when his arm wraps around her waist. Kissing up her neck, he reaches her ear to whisper,

“I have a surprise for you.”

He practically drags her away from the sink and she giggles.

“A surprise?” She wonders as he grabs her hand to lead her out the door.

Awaiting them are two brooms leaning against the lone ash tree. She gives him a quizzical look while he rushes ahead with a beaming grin. 

“Come on, it’s a beautiful day for a flight,” he hands her broom to her. 

She stares at the well-loved broom for several moments. It’s been some time since she’s flown. 

“I don’t know-,”

“No excuses,” he interrupts with a smirk. “You were the fastest flier back in the day, and if you even think about saying otherwise - I’ll knock you right on that pretty arse of yours.” 

She rolls her eyes - biting back her grin, “Please, it’s been a long time since those days.”

Sebastian mounts his broom and begins to hover above her, “Well, time to find out if that’s true.”

She scoffs, mounting her broom. He can rile her up way too easily, she scowls to herself. Matching his height, she smirks.

“Well, now what?” She questions.

Sebastian smiles as he quickly takes off. She watches him for a moment, laughing to herself, before chasing after him.

She quickly catches up to Sebastian. They both laugh as they zip around the Highlands. She’s forgotten how freeing it is to fly - how the wind whips through her hair and stings her cheeks while she makes daring dashes between narrow crevasses and trees. Sebastian makes a sudden dive towards a patch of woods and she circles around to join him. He awaits her in front of an old ruin of a formerly grand castle. She lands, her eyes wide and her mouth parted in awe at the grandeur of the dilapidated structure. 

“This is one of the places I’ve been investigating,” Sebastian states with a proud smirk. “Skelside Castle.”

“Wow… it’s so grand still,” she whispers. 

He grabs her hand with a chuckle, “You haven’t seen anything yet. Come on, let me show you my favorite room.” 

They place their brooms by the entrance and he leads her inside. It’s all surprisingly preserved in some places, and overtaken by vegetation in others. He navigates through the collapsing dining hall and up the crumbling stairs. Glancing back on occasion, he gives her hand a tight squeeze every time he catches her eyes. 

He lets go of her and rushes towards a set of double doors.

“Right this way, milady,” he opens the doors with a great flourish and bows as she walks in. Her giggles fade away into a soft gasp as she takes in the room.

They’re in a tower with stone that is intricately cut and sculpted into several beautiful lofty archways. In each of the arches, holds stained glass. The glass, despite having vines and grime covering them, possess a beauty she’s never seen before. Each of the stained pieces contain majestic trees swaying in the wind - all telling the story of the changing seasons - with the center arch containing the sun’s rays beaming down. 

The mosaic of colored light shimmers into the room - bathing the entire place in its vibrancy. She looks over herself as the golds, blues, reds, and purples dance over her. 

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” his voice breaks her from her thoughts and she glances over at him. He’s looking around the room in both reverence and awe. “This was a place of worship. Lord Skelig was a religious man - even for a wizard. He believed Nature to be the one true power of this world - shaping and forming it to its wishes. While we were merely its caretakers - protectors. It’s quite fascinating how he viewed the world. His journals were quite thorough.” 

He looks over to her and his smile widens. Taking both of her hands in his, he whispers,

“And you haven’t seen the best part yet, love,” his head cranes to look above them, and she follows his gaze to the ceiling. 

Another quiet gasp escapes her lips. Above them, is the moon with a beautiful night sky hiding behind the swirling gray clouds. The circular glass takes her breath away and Sebastian chuckles at her awe-struck expression.

“Never in all my travels have I found a place like this. It’s a shame it’s been lost to time for so long,” he comments with a slight frown.

“What will become of this place?” She wonders.

Sebastian hums in thought, “I’m not sure. I notified the guild of this place. Whether or not anything will come of it is a different matter,” he squeezes her hands and gives her a mischievous grin. “All that matters is that we are the only two who have set foot in this place in over five hundred years.”

“Five hundred?” She looks around the surprisingly well-preserved room. “Whoever built it, must have had charms in place to keep it from totally falling apart.” 

Sebastian smirks, “Makes you wonder what other secrets lie around - just waiting to be discovered.”

He wants to say more, but his mouth quickly clamps shut. Instead, he squeezes her hands then motions towards the exit.

“We should get going. Before it gets too dark.” 

She spares one final glance around the sanctuary then follows after Sebastian.

My favorite Sebaciel fanfics - Part 1

Hi! In the last post, I asked for some recommendations for Sebaciel fanfics, so I thought it would be a good idea to show my favorite ones, so I made a list with the fics that left the biggest impression on me, and I'll try to briefly talk about each one (although it's been a long time since I've read some of them, so I might not remember all the details).

1. Fanfics

1.1 Complete

Solomon’s Purgatory: Ciel acting as Sherlock Holmes in a modern day's Weston College. The plot is great, it's just a shame that Sebastian doesn't appear until almost the end (yeah, Ciel falls for him during his investigation without even knowing the real Sebastian, which is kinda cute too).

Shapeshifter: Sebastian is a serial killer, and he adopts Ciel after the suicide of his aunt Ann (Madam Red), which is obviously Sebastian's work. It's kinda graphic, and I don't recommend it if you have some kind of sensibility with rape and violence. However, if you like drama and a bittersweet sensation, this fic is for you. Just a warning: there's no happy ending.

Phantom, phantom: It's a PWP in every sense, but why is this so good?? (One shot)

1.2 In progress

Those Gentle Slopes that Lead to Hell: It's a slow burn, mostly centered in Sebastian's point of view and his journey to understand the feelings he didn't even know he had. I like it because it's totally in character, specially because their relationship isn't linear.

The Siblings and The Young Master: OK, IT'S BEEN A LONG, LONG TIME SINCE THE LAST TIME I READ THIS. However, I remember hunting down the writer to beg them to finish this piece, so I could say that I really liked it that time. Besides this, I don't remember a thing, just this and the fact that the drama isn't clear at the beginning, it's a thing that grows during the plot and gets SO GOOD. Anyway, read at your own risk since, sadly, the writer probably will never post the last 7 chapters (WE WERE SO CLOSE, I WANNA DIE! *crying compulsively*).

2. Series

Evil Flowers: It's a classic, all of fics of this series are masterpieces and I don't think I need to explain anything. Every Sebaciel shipper MUST read these fics at some point in their lives!

Debate Club: Ok, I'm obsessed with this series, specially with Devil's Advocate. It's simply how I always imagined the relationship between Ciel and Sebastian if they were in a modern school setting. I don't think the trope popular guy/nerd fits them. Both Sebastian and Ciel are nerds, but both of them have too much charisma to not be popular, so I always thought they would be over competitive with each other if they studied together. Also, Sebastian being completely clueless about his feelings to Ciel, and interpreting this strange sensation in his chest every time he sees this little brat as "I hate him", is my favorite fanfic trope.

PLEASE GUYS, I BEG YOU, write more fics like this. I want to see them in a high school and competing over grades, but being secretly in love with each other in a very dramatic and confused way. I also LOVE when Sebastian turns his repressed arousal for Ciel into violence over him (not in a physical way, like punching him, but acting rude and sarcastic).

Sam

Sam is trans, I believe he came out at a young age and while jodi was confused at first and thought that he was going through a phase she eventually came around and has became really supportive of Sam and his transition.

As Sam got older he made friends with Sebastian and Abigail, he didn't intentionally come out to either of them but rather forgot about it and casually mentioned one day how much periods suck only for them all to go silent before Abigail broke the tension with a "fuck yeah they do" before ranting about how period products should be free. Sebastian came up to him a bit later and gave him a hug before telling him how he was glad Sam was comfortable enough to tell them (even if it was an accident)

Shane

I think that Shane is also trans however it took him far longer to realise, accept himself and then come out.

When he went to live with Marnie, Marnie had been expecting a girl rather than the scruffy broken man that showed up however she very quickly got over it and did her best to try make him feel safe and comfortable. Shane had expected Marnie to turn him away however when she instead hugged him and told him how glad she was to see him and how big he had gotten he broke down crying.

Over time Shane accepts his gender identity more and also comes to accept his bisexuality, he eventually starts therapy after Harvey refered him and starts to improve his mental health and even gets sober. After talking with Marnie he quits his job at JoJa to start working with her at the Ranch, raising his chickens and enjoying his life.

Sebastian

Sebastian is autistic, he was diagnosed fairly young and while Robin did her best to support him she was too busy with work to really build a relationship with him. When she remarried and moved to stardew with Demitrius and got pregnant with maru Sebastian felt isolated especially with demitrius's favouritism of his daughter.

Sebastian never hated Maru and while I don't think he will ever be that close with her, he doesn't blame her for Robin and Demitrius's actions.

Overtime he became friends with Abigail, with him bonding with her over their mutual distaste of their parents. The pair then also became friends with Sam through a mutual love of music (though more of an obsession on Sam's part)

Sebastian started developing feelings for Sam early on into their relationship though they weren't that strong, more of a casual crush, however as they got closer and he came to trust Sam more they grew stronger and when Sebastian took him out for a ride on his motorcycle Sam ended up just blurting out that he was in love with him, with Sebastian responding that he loved him too. (Abigail noticed them holding hands the next day and congratulated them both for "taking so fucking long")

Harvey

Harvey is a bisexual man, his sexuality has never really bothered him and he accepted it quickly however I think he is probably on the aromantic spectrum. Not any specific identity but rather he has a complicated relationship with romance and romantic feelings for people.

While his dreams of being a pilot never came to fruition he moved to pelican town and set up the clinic, he wasn't that torn up about it and became far more interested in the engineering of planes rather than the idea of piloting one. He's also a total history nerd.

Alex

Alex is also bisexual but with a preference for men, he had alot of internalised homophobia and while he loved Haley growing up with a 'girl best friend' had resulted in everyone around them expecting them to be dating or to start dating even if they insisted that their relationship was platonic.

Evelyn was never too bothered about his sexuality however when Alex accidentally slipped to George that he thought one of the gridball players was handsome George had told him that it wasn't right for him to think that. While George would eventually come around to accept Alex's sexuality it still puts a significant strain on their relationship.

The first person Alex came out to was Haley, after she came round for dinner one night George and Evelyn had talked about how good of a housewife Haley would be, how they'd make such a good couple, ect; all while the pair looked extremely uncomfortable with Haleys eyes looking considerably damp at the mention of her being a housewife.

After dinner they both went to Alex's room where Haley started crying and told Alex she was sorry but that she could never be that for him, Alex (also crying at this point) hugged her and told her he never expected her to be. Once they both stopped crying, sat on the floor of Alex's room in silence, Alex quietly spoke out that he thinks something is wrong with him continuing to talk about how he knows that he probably should have a crush on her but instead he can't stop looking at the poster of the strong armed gridball players he has up. (It took Haley a moment to get it, once she did she harshly told him that there wasn't anything wrong with him before muttering out about how if he was wrong then she was too. After that Alex noticed how much she stared at the purple haired girl who seemed to always be staring back)

So :) Adam x Male Reader (Obviously 😌) where they are not together yet and Adam loves to tease Reader because he loves to read comic books (Totally not self insert, lmao). One time Adam goes a bit too far tho and takes Reader's comic book from his hands, basically ripping it out of them and accidentally tearing a few pages since comic books tend to be quite fragile if not handled properly. Reader at first is surprised and annoyed with Adam until he hears the rip of the pages, then he simply stares at the taller angel in shock, forcefully taking back the comic and seeing the damage just to break down in tears, because it was his favourite comic book that he was introduced to when he was still alive by someone who was very dear to him (Either a sibling, a bestfriend, parent, Idk) and gets really upset with Adam, refusing to talk to him. At first Adam being Adam obviously wouldn't get why it was such a big idea since it was just a comic book, he could get another one in Heaven with no problems, but it was the action on its own that made the Reader upset.

The first man grinned down on you, visibly amused by the sight of you - you had your face buried in your favorite comic book, a passion Adam never truly understood even though you tried to explain it to him. But that was okay, the brunette didn’t need to understand why you liked them, it was enough that you liked comics in general - well, enough to tease you about.

“You’re such a fucking nerd, dude,” Adam groaned, he preteneded to be annoyed about your passion when in realitly he was annoyed by the lack of attention he was receiving from your end - it was simply something he wasn’t used to. Usually the attention was his once he entered the room but you were different. If you had your nose buried in one of your silly little picture books - Adam’s words, not yours - your attention was on said book and said book only and not even the first man himself could change that.

You didn’t respond to his words and that annoyed Adam, it annoyed him very fucking much. Enough to simply grab the fragile book and tear it out of your grip, your first response was an annoyed, “Hey!” as you tried to get it back but then the sound of ripping paper filled the living room you and Adam were sitting in and your body tensed up immediately. A shiver ran through you and you felt how your wings fluffed up a little from the sadness and from the anger that slowly bubbled up inside of you. The look in your eyes was empty as you turned towards Adam, eyeing how he held a single page in one of his hands and the entire book in his other hand. Your eyes flicked from the book to the torn out page and back to the book until your eyes eventually met Adam’s. There was no guilt or remorse in them, just amusement as you heard how a chuckle rumbled through his body, “Looks like I have to get ya a new one.”

You grabbed the book forcefully from Adam, possibly breaking it even more but in that moment you did not care. You also took the single page from Adam, viewing the damage up close as tears slowly started to well up in your eyes. This comic book had been given to you by your best friend back when you were still alive and it had been your favorite ever since. Said best friend did not roam Heaven’s mighty streets like you did, you weren’t sure if he was still alive or if he was in Hell - though him being in Hell did not make any sense to you. The comic Adam had just broken was all you had left of him and now even that was destroyed. Sure you could fix it, you could tape the page back in but that didn’t fix the fact that Adam did not feel guilty in the slightest - fuck, he even found it amusing.

When the brunette noticed how quiet you were he looked at you and you heard how he swallowed hard at the sight of tears welling up in your eyes - you couldn’t bring yourself to feel empathy towards him, not after what he did. Sure, to Adam it seemed like a small deal, like a thing that happened and he could fix it by replacing the book. But that wasn’t the case, this was a problem not even Adam could fix that easily.

“Dude,” Adam spoke up again, his words sounding a little softer yet he kept up the playful and unbothered undertone, “It’s a fucking book, I’ll get you a new one.” But you remained silent, refusing to talk to the taller angel after he broke the only physical thing that reminded you of your best friend. The first man seemed rather frustrated at that, you heard him sigh and out of the corner of your eyes you saw how he took off the mask on his head to actually look at you. “Stop acting like a crybaby, man, it’s easy to replace,” he explained yet again, lifting his hand to rest it on your shoulder and give you some comfort but you pulled away before his hand even touched you. That would not fix things, it wouldn’t repair your book.

Brian sighed again, putting the broken comic book down in his lap as he stared at it. “Gimme the damn book,” Adam grumbled, sounding somewhat displeased with something - with that exactly you didn’t know but you did know that Adam would not touch that comic again. “Fuck off,” you mumbled weakly, trying to keep Adam away from it. The taller angel simply caught your wrists, held them in a firm grip and grabbed the comic - including the torn out page - from your lap, “Chill, I’m not gonna tear out more pages.”

You watched with wide eyes as your comic book was taken from you yet again, this time Adam was a little careful with it and while that still did not meet your standards on how he should be handling your favorite comic, it was better than before. The brunette let go of your eyes, held the comic book in both of his hands and let out a quiet sigh, a sigh you didn’t even notice. Angelic magic wrapped around your book and your shocked expression turned into a confused one before you realized what Adam was doing there.

He was fixing it - like actually fixing it.

“Here, you fucking shithead,” Adam grinned as he handed you your comic back, his other hand ruffled your hair softly and while the brunette still did not apoligze, you were willing to ignore that tiny fact and move on. He had fixed the book he broke and while it still felt different, it was something you appreciated very much.

After a couple of dates with Bucky you’re still learning so much about him while discovering some things about yourself. It’s not the same reading intel from a dossier than getting it right from the source. 

You’ve learned so much. For example, Bucky likes to eat a lot so he hides his snacks all over the compound, just like he hides weapons. Bucky also feels more comfortable wearing long sleeves, the more clothes the better– you thought that had to do with the cold, but really it comes from being on the run so much. It’s easier to wear more layers of clothes than it is to carry them around, plus it comes in handy for a quick change. 

He’s also a bit of a nerd, the man loves to read. 

And read he loves, especially your body language. He’s quite masterful at it. He can tell just by the way you stand which mood you’re in. 

That’s how he knows he’s annoying you right now. That and the muttered “slut!’ under your breath.

Bucky is sitting on the couch literally not doing anything in particular, just sitting there with his hands folded on his lap, legs spread wide. He’s waiting for you to finish typing a mission report so you can grab dinner with him. So when he hears your muttered voice he looks up to find your eyes trained on him over the lid of the laptop you’re typing on. 

“What’s that?” He asks.

“Nothing.” You roll your eyes at him and resume typing, pressing the keys way too hard.

Bucky gets up from the couch and pulls up a chair and settles next to you. He stares at your profile, you try- you really do- to ignore him. But he’s relentless. Out of the corner of your eyes you catch him giving you the puppy eyes. Your ultimate weakness. You resist for all two seconds, then feel his chin propped on your shoulder. You keep typing…until he presses his lips to your cheek. His stubble makes you giggle. 

“James…” you turn to face him, puppy eyes greet you along with a pouty lip.

Be strong! Don’t kiss him.

“Why did you call me a slut?”

You take a deep breath and shut your laptop, “Because you’re sitting there looking all super hot with my favorite sweater of yours on, waiting for me like the perfect boyfriend, and your hands!”

“These old things?” he looks down at his hands.

“Yeah! Hands. Your hands are hot.” You grab his hands to make your point. “I mean they’re so big, like the rest of you. Not that I don’t like that– I didn’t mean to offend you or anything. You’re just big, but just right for me. I like that you’re big, tall, large. Now I’ve said ‘big’ too many times.” 

Thankfully you didn't go into much detail on his widely spread legs. Those thighs send you on a doozy. 

Bucky pecks your lips softly, pulling away with your breath. “You call me big one more time, we’re not gonna make it to dinner.” 

“You giant piece of big big big big biggy biggest super soldier beefcake!”

“That’s it!” Bucky gets up and pulls you into his arms. He picks you up like he picks up his cat and carries you over his shoulder, giving you the perfect opportunity to grab a handful of his butt. When he gets you to his room and drops you on the bed he jokingly says, “I see you only want me for my body.”

You pull him down so he lays on top of you. “No, that’s an added bonus.” you grab him by the back of his neck and guide his lips to yours for a heated kiss. 

When Bucky pulls away to catch his breath he smirks down at you, “You called me your boyfriend.”

“It sounds so juvenile. Right? Partner, is that better?”

“Baby, you can call me whatever you want, I’m yours.” 

“Then come here, big boy.” You smile at him and pull him in for another kiss. “Slut.”

Witch Covenant: The council that oversees all magic users, specifically witches, warlocks, wizards, mediums, etc. They mainly oversee those whose primary power comes from their magic, rather than their being (I.E, without their magic they'd be normal humans)

Blood Sage Warlocks: Powerful dark arts mages who specialize in magic able to affect one's body and mind. often includes transformations of some sort, such as in Angus' case he can transform parts of his body into dragonic type of things. (The term "Sage" is mainly used because blood mages are fairly rare and most still existing are old men/women. Angus and Clover's late 'father' are the few members of a younger generation)

Personality:

Clover is a temperamental, kind of a troublemaker teen whose temper leads him to end up in scuffles and fights a lot. Despite this he generally means well, and doesn't mean to cause concern to his loved ones. He has abandonment issues and trauma from his childhood, and doesn't like being left alone when sick for example, and tends to get overtly worried if he does something he perceives could make Angus mad at him. (it doesn't happen a whole lot)

Because of his isolated early childhood, Clover is very keen on going out and learning new things, and while he might call Ichirou and the like "nerds" he tends to actually listen to his ramblings closely, being genuinely interested. His social skills aren't the best, and Clover gets easily flustered when he's not sure what to do or how to act in a situation.

Fun Facts

His biological parents were french, and he still tends to curse in french the most or when he's grumbling about something all pouty.

Clover's style tends to lean towards punk and urban/sporty vibes, and he loves wearing a lot of green and black

His favorite patterns in clothing tend to be spiky vines, clover shapes and chessboard patterns. Or dragons, as dragons remind him of the person who rescued him, Angus.

His mother still sometimes tries to contact him, though indirectly as she's aware she could get killed approaching him directly. Clover doesn't really want her to do this and tries to ignore any messages she sends.

Clover was initially wary of women due to the only woman he was exposed to being his neglectful mother, but overtime he gained more positive experiences, such as through Franziska, later his friend's youthful grandmother Yui, and plenty of others.

he met Henrik by accidentally teleporting himself into the human world, and not knowing how to get back. He stayed with Henrik for a few days, until Angus found him. Angus agreed to let him continue visiting Henrik upon seeing how much the boy liked him, as long as he let them know if he did.

Clover swears like a sailor, though he tries not to do it around Ichirou and his family. If he does slip, he tends to immediately apologize for it.

He speaks four languages total, having learned through his new friends and family; French, english, german, and Japanese. (he's least fluent in the latter, but still understands it well enough)

Clover tends to look up to scary, powerful figures who still show incredible gentleness and kindness. Such as his foster parent Angus, Ichirou's father Jurou, and a wyvern Sebastian Kravchenko he meets through Angus' clinic, being a frequent patient there.

He would never admit it, but he actually really enjoys Quinn's music (Quinn is a bakeneko and a popular singer in their world that Ichirou is a fan of)

His patchy skintone is a result of his unusual and volatile magic combo, the dark patches representing the forest magic, and the pale parts representing the blood magic.

Due to his deformity, he can't eat a whole lot in a day - he will throw up if he tries - which puts him at risk of starving a lot. To combat this, Angus uses a special type of ambrosia to mix in his food that includes more than enough nutrients to make sure he's fed properly even with tiny portions. (This food would be bad for humans as it'd give them an overdose of several minerals and vitamins)

He gets cold easily as well due to his condition, which is also why he loves wearing oversized clothing; keeps him warm.

Despite his food issues and deformation, Clover is still physically fairly strong thanks to his blood magic, and can easily throw around guys twice his size with his vines. People often underestimate his strength due to how he looks.

I mean, his motto is ‘Who doesn’t like Johann Sebastian Bach?’ (Just kidding, it’s ‘I’m Anthony bloody Lockwood.’).

You can see his evident lack in the ability to open up to others, which makes his love language touch. He just wants you to hold his hand and make him feel safe. Your love language is so cute to him, he just loves seeing the things you want to show him because it just makes him fall in love with you all over again. Plus, he returns the favour by showing you his family ring and giving you his mother’s necklace. It became your most prized possession and you guarded it like a hawk, always checking it was on your person. I think he saw some of his mother in you.

The lovely @bookshelfdreams tagged me (thanks for the tag!) to do this, and while I can't guarantee this will be a coherent list of characters (and reasons why I like them!) hopefully this will help at least make for interesting reading, if not some very un-hinged thoughts at the very least 🤷‍♀️

Rose Tyler (Doctor Who)

Rose was one of my earliest memories of being obsessed with a character. I started watching Doctor Who in about 2006/during season 2 (I would have been about 8/maybe 9 years old at the time) so I missed her initial introduction in season 1, but I went back and rewatched her stuff with the ninth doctor and I just absolutely loved how she was just an ordinary working class girl who wanted to go on adventures (of course I didn't understand that this was the reason why I loved her so much as a kid but yeah..)

Bucky Barnes (MCU)

Look, I know we all have our opinions/ and criticisms on the mcu (which I totally understand) but there was just something about Bucky that I gravitated towards (Probably because I found Sebastian Stan attractive, but I digress.) A young boy who was willingly wanting to go fight in the war to defend his country and then ending up going through arguably the worst kind of trauma that someone could go through. Then to see his journey and story progress through the years, for me, has been a real treat to watch.

Eddie Munson (Stranger Things)

Eddie became a very quick favourite of mine in such a short space of time (partly to Joseph Quinn playing him brilliantly) but I just loved how his character COULD have been this dark, brooding, misunderstood teen, but he was ACTUALLY a very sweet and warm character, despite what everyone else thought of him. He was just a funky little metal-head D&D nerd, and I loved him for that. I just really need him back for series 5 Please!!

Orla McCool (Derry Girls)

Again, Orla was just someone I gravitated towards, I can't quite put my finger on why, I just really liked her giddy optimism and strange but sweet outlook on things!

Harley Quinn (DCEU) is that what it's called sorry idk about these things! 🤦‍♀️

Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is very special to me (Especially in her post Suicide Squad era) because she's outlandish and wacky, but also incredibly smart and quick. I'd read a handful of Harley comics and I just think she's really cool.

Elphaba Thropp (Wicked The Musical)

I can't really speak too much about her novel version because I haven't read enough of the book to form an opinion, but stage Elphaba has my entire heart. She's unapologetic in standing up for what she believes in and fighting what she believes is right, and I admire that about her.

Mabel Mora (Only Murders in the Building)

More so I love her relationship between Oliver and Charles, but Mabel's willingness to get stuck in and try to help to solve murders alongside her two slightly older friends was a very interesting dynamic to watch! Also I would kill to have her outfits because girls got style.

Gina Linetti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)

How could you not love the absolute self-confidence and bravado of Gina Linetti! She was as will forever be the most <3

Tecna (Winx Club)

Although I sat through both seasons of that bad neflix adaptation, nothing compares to the original cartoon in my eyes (at least the first 4 seasons anyway.) I think it has something to do with how it captured my attention as a kid because the idea of pretty fairies to me as a child was very appealing! I think (although the whole group had their own merits) Tecna was my favourite even just from a character design standpoint.

Becky Lynch (WWE)

I don't know if this technically counts since she's a real person, and considering I haven't watched WWE for a while but Becky's in-ring persona, was always a fascinating and exciting watch for me! Especially finding her feet as 'Becky-Two-Belts' and her being 'The Man', she was strong, powerful and for a long time under-rated as a performer, but I loved her so so much!

It kind of angers me that there are people who headcanon the boys as something they're not, or they saying that they're this one personality trait only. What other characters from twisted get mischaracterized, at least in ur opinion?

I really enjoy going into depths of characters' personalities because damn- there were some big brains behind their creations!

This question was rather important so I couldn't decide on any specific characters to talk about, so I decided to list all of the twst characters and how they'd often get mischaracterized.

Mischaracterization isn't bound to twst fandom because as long as a there's a fandom, fanon interpretations of characters exist.

Almost any character in any fandom can be mischaracterized at some point, but it isn't always that noticable or important. Mischaracterization often becomes noticable when pretty different interpretations of rather 'popular' characters exist within a fandom, which causes many to argue over what the correct interpretation is.

For now, I'm dividing all of twst characters into "5 groups" to explain how each of them might often get mischaracterized.

Group A: Complex personalities

It's simple, these characters can be quite hard to understand. It's either because of having too many features at the same time, which makes them quite hard to read because we'll need to achieve a balance between all of their different personality aspects, or being quite secretive and mysterious which awfully bounds our knowledge regarding these characters and their personalities.

•Malleus Draconia: We previously talked about Malleus; the main reason of him getting mischaracterized is having plenty of spine-chilling features while having considerably childish and innocent hobbies at the same time. This opposition often makes it hard to decide on what the cannon Malleus is like, because it can hard to choose one between his darker side and softer side. What we need in order to achieve a rather cannon interpretation of Malleus, is a balance. Just as I previously said: Malleus isn't a baby, but he isn't a monster either.

•Lilia Vanrouge: Even without going into depths, you can tell that Lilia's personality is complicated as hell. Though I can't really tell that he's being Mischaracterized because the cannon Lilia himself can switch into a totally different personality in a matter of second, one moment he's a 90+ year old father trying to lead his children into he right path, one moment he's an unraveled neon teenager playing the ear-scrathing heavy metal with that guitar of his, and the other second he's an absolute monster which can creep the heck out of you with a simple "Boo". Lilia can also get plenty of different personalities through fanon interpretations:Yandere Lilia/Vampire fae/ Papa Lilia/ Daddy Vanrouge many other details which I can't go through now,but let me just say: A Lilia analysis would be rather long, and interesting one.

•Jade Leech: Speaking of reading characters, better know that this mister eel Leech is an absolutely tough one. You'll never know what he's hiding behind that friendly yet evil smile, or what intentions might be behind his extreme will to play the role of the butler and help everyone out. Understanding this Sebastian Michaelis complex is an absolute challenge and this is probably one of the things that makes him so Interesting, you always know that he's hiding something dark on the inside, yet you can't really tell what it is.

•Cater Diamond: This might be rather hard to notice, but there's a lot about Cater which is left untold. Despite his sweet and positive appearance, his personality is actually a bitter-sweet complex of too many emotions and a pretty well-written background. The amount of info found through his voice lines and personal stories is rather amazing as if you're reading a real boy's life story! But this amount of detail and considerably dark aspects of his personality can make it really hard to understand what's going on in this mysterious mind; especially because of how he seems to be hiding a second face under that friendly smile.

•Jamil Viper: Jamil can be quite hard to read. He isn't really emotional and hardly ever expresses his true feelings. Even NRC students agree that he can be quite a mystery, from his past life and daily struggles to how many of his true feelings and intentions remained a secret until chapter 4. Jamil is a complex of pain, power, hatred and patience. His background is perfect example of a villainous story and how a child can grow to be a villain, which is quite interesting! Jamil's story is worthy of a detailed analysis and some time for all of us to understand what this guy has been going through.

•Rook Hunt: We often tend to know him as Pomefiore's "dramatic stalker", and he surely is! The fanon interpretation of Rook doesn't usually go against his cannon interpretation (Expect for the times that people get salty over his appearance or attitude- Which leads to the creation of countless Rook memes-) While it's true that he's more than just a French stalker, it can be hard to talk about anything else when it comes to Rook, because the cannon Rook tends to hide a lot about himself, leaving us with a considerable lack of useful information to use. He really got us all there, huh? Even as he's a fictional character and we're living in real life- he tends to control what we know and think of him-

Group B: Ignoring important features:

This group can get easily mischaracterized, mainly because each and every of them has an specific feature that really makes them stand out. (Ex: Riddle's short temper, Azul's soft and sensitive side, Sebek's obsession with Malleus,...) But paying to much attention to that one specific feature often leads to ignoring everything else about their personalities, and gives them a pretty simple and fanon interpretation which can sometimes be the total opposite of the detailed and cannon one.

•Azul Ashengrotto: Azul's fanon picture had an extreme change after chapter 3, mainly because of how his background and breakable side was revealed; the cruel and heartless mafia boss turned into the soft and emotional baby. This sudden change in perspective stole the hearts of many fans and the fandom in general came to appreciate Azul even more, but at some point it caused his most important feature to be forgotten: Azul tends to be strict about hiding that sensitive side of his, so the Azul we get to see in general is the fearful picture of the mastermind who's taken the magics of many away, not that baby Octopus who used to cry whenever other kids bullied him because he was different. Getting to know his background and true feelings made us forget about his professional and strict side which is indeed the most important side of his personality!

•Idia Shroud: Baby boy, soft child, sweet tooth cutie, pretty little emo,...and hundreds of other nicknames to appreciate Idia and his iconic nature. But in contrast to what many assume based on his appearance and social anxiety, Idia is way different from just a shy yet adorable nerd; this guy is seriously hiding some evil inside. If you go through his stories and get to the points where he's thinking with himself, you'll see how different he can be. While he can't really get to tell these properly through his main lines, you can find him secretly insulting and nagging at how annoying some people are several times. It isn't just about being shy, Idia obviously dislikes many of the people around him. Focusing on his social anxiety and awkwardness causes us to forget how different he is when he isn't forced into a face-to-face conversation, also note that there are many thoughts going through this guy's brain that you probably hadn't thought of.

•Floyd Leech: While Jade's personality is obviously a pretty complicated one, Floyd's character is even more confusing because of his playfulness and seemingly childish manners. But it's important to remember that deep inside, floyd is just as mysterious as his brother. Describing Floyd as childish and dumb is equal to falling into Yana's trap, because Floyd is designed as an extremely smart and somewhat of sadistic character. It's so important to know that he's way more than just a chaotic eel or an playful idiot, Floyd literally has anything needed to be ranked among the most dangerous characters of the game, his personality along side his magic and genius can be quite deadly.

•Sebek Zigvolt: To be honest, many of us are just doing him dirty. Look, it's true that Sebek's often caught praising and talking about Malleus but please do not forget that Sebek as well has got his very own personality! Associating Malleus with whatever he says or does (especially through fanfictions) is somehow fading his character because most of the things I get to read or hear about him involves Malleus. Come on! This is Sebek that we're talking about, not Malleus! I understand that talking about Malleus is legit something he often does but while you're writing a fanfic, please remember that Sebek has got hundreds of features and personality manners to talk about other than talking about his "Waka sama". So instead of just focusing on his Malleus appreciation habit, try to get to know his very own features and personality! In many of fanon interpretations, Sebek is bound to doing nothing but talking about Malleus and only him which is pretty unfair! We should all take some time to talk about Sebek himself, not his obsession with Lilia or Malleus.

•Riddle Rosehearts: I understand where this is coming from, but I want to see something more than an angry Riddle shouting and screaming about the importance of rules and harshly forcing others into following them whenever I read something that involves Riddle. I see how being angry and turning as red as a tomato is his rather famous feature but we shouldn't ignore everything else about hum because of it. Other than his background and mentionable talents and abilities as the greatest dorm leader Heartslabyul's history, keep this in mind that Riddle did decide to try and change his way of leadership and reduce his obsession with rules after his overblot.

Characters that can also belong to this group: Vil Schoenheit, Rook Hunt, Kalim Al Asim, Silver, Epel Felmier

Group C: Ignorance/Lack of information

The reason with this group is obvious, we need to talk about them more often! While they're all great characters with interesting designs and personalities, it's somehow rare to see anyone doing a proper analysis of their characters, either because of not going through their details or stories, or even going through them but not finding anything special.

•Ace Trappola: Both Deuce and Ace are characters who have appeared through all of the chapters so far, which means that we've had the chance to get to know them better than any other character in the game! But their fanon interpretations are pretty simple and sometimes, boring. Most of us don't even realize that we're mischaracterizing them-! I often see them being pictured as either stupid or loud and troublesome. Ace for example, got a really strong plot about how he'd go through a relationship and his past experience in the ghost marriage, which can be a strong guide to how we should picture Ace in reader inserts, but sadly we're just sticking to fanon interpretations and don't give his personality the detail and cannon depth he deserves. Let's note that he can be quite evil, smart, logical and unpredictable too at the time.

•Deuce Spade: Deuce's case is pretty similar to Ace. I'm not saying that he's a totally different one from how the fandom is characterizing him, but come on, Deuce isn't just a chicken dummy! We've learned a lot about his relationship with his mother, his past life, his relationship with his close friends, his hobbies and his will to become a great magician so there's a lot we can say about him! Instead of just sticking to his clumsiness and sometimes, stupidity it's better to consider those features and details to describe him. Not only will it make us have more of a cannon interpretation on Deuce, but it'll also inspire us to create newer and more creative content for him!

•Silver: Look, while many of us love this sleepy guy, we need to understand that he isn't just a sleeping beauty or Lilia's cute son! Let's admit something, we're facing a lack of Silver content and even as we go through most of the existing Silver fanfics and content, it either has something to do with his sleeping issues or his relationship with idia, maybe some arguments with Sebek as well but it's rare to see anyone talking about anything else than these when it comes to Silver. His relationship with Lilia and Malleus, he way he appears in others' side stories, how he handles his tasks and the way Malleus and Lilia describe him is telling us that there's a LOT about him which we often ignore!

•Trey Clover: It's true that the cannon Trey isn't that different from the fanon one, but I can tell that the fanon Trey lacks quite a few of the cannon features. We're giving him a rather solid and sometimes boring personality of Heartslabyul's calm and collected mum who treats everyone nicely regardless of how reckless or annoying or rebellious they are. But the real Trey does express annoyance and uncomfortablitiy from time to time, he can even be quite sarcastic. If you come to get a close look, you'll see that Trey isn't always as nice as he seems to be.

•Ruggie Bucchi: I genuinely adore Ruggie's personality design, especially how he mostly comes of as a mysterious troublemaker but at the same time, he's being a tiny family man on the inside. Watching how he can be quite reckless toward other students in NRC (especially the first years) and on the other hand, be a pretty caring and protective sibling who really loves and cares about his poor family and is working his hardest to support them really brings the tears of joy to my eyes. Ruggie's story has got a lot to tell and this interesting design and personality really deserves more attention and supporters!

•Jack Howl: It's true that Jack doesn't really get mischaracterized , but he deserves to be talked about more often! Most of the fandom captured his personality really good and I can feel his tsundere-ish and protective vibes through most of the fanfics that involve him. He's got a rather calm and collected nature which gives him a more balanced personality compared to the rest of the characters, and can make it easier to understand the cannon Jack. He used to get really mischaracterized back in twst's pre-release, but after the game was released and we got to know the cannon Jack, most of those misunderstandings were solved. Perhaps the only thing that I wish to mentioned more often are the adorable details and his background, especially his relationship with his family and siblings.

Characters that can also belong to his group: Silver, Deuce Spade, Ace Trappola, Rook Hunt

Group D: The healing type (Iyashikei)

Look, the cannon interpretation isn't always the happiest or the sweetest. This group usually get mischaracterized because their fanon interpretation is presenting something better, something that more fans would accept and love. 'Softening extremely dark and unapproachable personalities' or 'spreading adorable and wholesome headcanons' are two common ways of the healing type. Characters with extremely bitter personalities usually belong to this group, because their stories can be too sad for the fandom, so many decide to go for a softer yet untrue way of characterizing them, which is sometimes good but going too far with the softening process often leads to creating a character that's nothing like the original.

•Leona Kingscholar: While I was working on my Leona analysis, I came to understand why some fans prefer the fanon Leona over the cannon Leona. Cannon Leona is quite dark and unapproachable, and you'll find his background and personality in general quite painful and sometimes depressing if you try to study the cannon Leona. Within all of the twst characters, he's got the darkest design therefore it can be quite hard for fans to accept his cannon interpretation. That's why some try to give him more of an affectionate and soft nature to make his personality seem less painful to go through. This sometimes create a totally wrong interpretation that goes against everything that the cannon Leona is, but at the same time many fans agree that cannon Leona on the other hand is just too dark to accept. We can tell that this fandom's favorite Leona is a balance of cannon and fanon Leonas, something neither too dark nor to childish and wholesome.

•Ortho Shroud: There isn't much we know about Ortho and his background, and I can't say that he's being directly mischaracterized either. Sometimes all we have to use in order to capture his personality are the fan- theories, which can really complicate stuff. Best way to know him is by paying enough of attention to his voice lines and hidden details, but it can end up being quite dark if you dig too deep- His background with Idia isn't directly mentioned but there are some dark details hiding through the story that can seem quite scary when you actually think about them, therefore many of the fans decide to ignore those details, and since there isn't much of Ortho content (mostly fanfiction) either, many (including me) decided not to mention anything about those dark aspects...

•Epel Felmier: Cannon Epel is quite different from the fanon Epel. Not saying that Epel is a meanie because he surely does have pretty cute and adorable aspects but the cannon can Epel can be quite reckless, mean and rude at the time while the fanon Epel is always described as a shy, cute boy(which is exactly what the cannon Epel hates to be described as). Going through his ghost marriage stories and voice lines, we can realize that Epel's rather bad with romance, and for now, he doesn't really seem to be interested in any love-related issues either. Writing reader inserts especially can be really hard if you're going to stick with the cannon Epel, therefore many choose to use the fanon Epel instead, a cuter and softer Epel who's quite acceptive and approval of being in love. A considerable majority of fans prefer this soft and cuter Epel, and this is why Epel mostly gets mischaracterized in reader inserts.

Characters that can also belong to this group: Malleus Draconia, Azul Ashengrotto, Cater Diamond, Ace Trappola, Lilia Vanrouge

Group E: Mischaracterized on main

Spreading false headcanons, not paying enough of attention to official details and simplifying complicated personalities are often counted as general ways of mischaracterization. Unlike the previous groups, this group doesn't really have a proper excuse for their mischaracterization, especially as we see some fans are being attacked and offended by some who tend mischaracterize characters in this way.

•Vil Schoenheit: We previously talked about Vil and how there's a pile of wrong information about him spread all over the fandom, from the one saying that he's trans and his pronouns are she/her (Many fans were attacked and forced to use She/Her for Vil) to the ones that are picturing him as a selfish character who cares about no one but his very own beauty, and is bullying Epel just because he envies Epel for being more beautiful than him. Look, regarding his relationship with Epel I must say that he's trying is hardest to make Epel be more mindful of his appearance and manners, he cares to help each and every around him look their best and isn't just focusing on his very own beauty. I meant to add him in group B because how many consider him to be obsessed with beauty and ignore everything else about him like his remarkable skills in leadership and other abilities in general, but considering the great amount of wrong information that is being spread around the fandom and is causing misunderstandings and arguments, I thought it'd be better to put him in this group.

•Kalim al asim: One sentence, four words: He is NOT stupid! While I insist that everyone in the fandom is free to have their personal interpretation and ideas regarding the characters and their personalities, keep this is mind that it's okay as long as it doesn't offend anyone else! How does it feel when Kalim stans are just watching others making fun of their favorite and calling him useless and stupid? Even worse, how does it feel when they're being told reckless stuff like: "Hey, you know that your favorite is the dumbest character in the game?" Let me clear 3 points right here: 1)Even if one's favorite is stupid, you do not have the right to insult them because of it even if you mean it as a joke 2)Nope Kalim is not stupid, generosity and caring for everyone around him with genuine kindness makes him a good and pure person, not a stupid one. 3) People who are saying that he's stupid because of not doing that great in school are just as funny as those who told all of us that you won't be any successful if you don't get good grades in exams. Lmao, dude this is the 21st century.

literally had to make a fucking template in photoshop, and it still took forever! at least this set is better than the celene and andreas one. yikes.

side note, this form was such a fun dive, because I never really think about what my characters want in like a romantic partner, or even a friend, I sort of design them to be what I like in relationship dynamics and think how they should be. so this was fun to try and expand my thinking.

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?

so this is definitely coming from my intense love for baldurs gate and dnd in general, but I think it would be SO fun to see these 2 as dnd characters in baldurs gate! or even just the kind of fantasy, medieval vibe in general! Sebastian would totally be a wizard and Elowen a sorcerer! but rather than them being characters they've made, I think it'd be cool to them themselves in that world!

13. If you met your OC, would the two of you get along?

sebastian - considering how i've accidentally made sebastian ridiculously similar to me, I'm gonna go ahead and say we'd get along wonderfully 😭 elowen - I also think elowen and I would get along great! we both love baking and spooky things 🥹 as far as similarity goes, I'm more similar to seb, but as far as just being friends with them, I think it'd be pretty equal!

25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?

I think a better question would be what ISN'T my favorite thing about these two 😅

elowen - for starters, she's a spooky monster girl, what could be better than that?! I think my favorite thing about her all together though, is how she can look pretty intimidating to a lot of people, she's really tall + she's like always wearing platforms AND her hair is huge, so that alone she's towering over everyone. but also she's something no one has ever seen before and that freaks them out, but in reality she's this sweetheart who likes to sit at home with her kids, bake, and knit all day. I also love how she's grown confident and doesn't care how people see her anymore and just lets herself be without worrying how people will react to her! sebastian - for starters, this man is the biggest sweetheart ever and an absolute dork, and in my book those are some of the best possible traits a person can have. he's also just a huge nerd 🫶 also, I can't say TOO much about this part bc y'all don't know some of this yet, but he's dealt with his dad being pretty annoying about where his passions lie, and he hasn't let that discourage him! for a time he contemplated giving up on art altogether because of him, but ultimately realized that it's HIS life, not his father's. I could go on and on about these two, but I'll leave it there 😅
