I was wondering if Gary was aware that Efnisien was hurt, or if he was just like,” Nope. Out you go,” and was just acting on instinct when he killed Henton.

Tbh Gary would have been able to smell (and hear) Efnisien's overwhelming terror and nothing else would have mattered after that. It's what got him to break the door down, it's what got him in the house, and it's what got Michael Henton killed.

I don't know if Gary even knows Efnisien is hurt.

The voidwalkers almost didn't survive.

There are maybe a hundred of them left, survivors, evacuated from The End once a cure was found but the land and wasn't worth reclaiming. Those who remain are scattered far and wide, hidden beneath helmets or breathing masks, though every so often you'll hear rumors about shock white hair and scars as red as though they were still open wounds.

Xisuma and Etho were both surprised when they met. Neither had seen another voidwalker for a long time, but it was nice to able to talk about those days with someone who had lived through it.

And it's okay now. They're alive. The past is behind them, long dead and decayed.

.....Right?
