MEGUMI FUSHIGURO | looking out for you;
Tumblr media
summary: collegeAU. megumi is a singer/songwriter in your friend group. you go to see one of his shows. based off the song “looking out for you by joy again”. i highly recommend listening. also this is not the series just a random collegeAU
cw: love confessions. mentions of a toxic relationship (not with megumi), other than that just fluff.
———
you found yourself a seat next to your best friend’s yuji and nobara under the dim lights of the best coffeehouse on campus. you’d come to see your friend megumi fushiguro as he took the stage. you and megumi were part of the same friend group, you weren’t super close but you definitely considered him a good friend nonetheless.
he was a quiet guy, who had the tendency to come off a bit cold. but through countless study sessions for your grueling english lit class, you had come to know a different side to him. he was the type of guy who would cover for you if you were too hungover to show up to class, the type of guy that would always lend you his notes if you missed a lecture, the type that was always there for every single one of your friends…even if it was in his own grumpy way. he was a good guy, genuinely. and as you got to know him, you realized this more and more.
this was of course much to your boyfriend, kades, annoyance. you and kade had met at the beginning of the year, a whirlwind romance some might say. but he wasn’t always that nice to you, and you fought too much and too hard. so much in fact that he refused to join you at the show tonight, even though most of your friends were here and it was in support of megumi. you knew it was probably over between you too, you didn’t really care. you couldn’t put your finger on why, but there was something that made the though of losing kade an extremely bearable prospect, perhaps even relieving.
“hey, this is a song i wrote, uh-hope you like it.” megumi’s voice pulls you from your thoughts, his fingers start to gently caress the strings of his well-loved, and slightly beaten up, acoustic guitar. the same guitar you’d seen him carry across campus countless times. the same guitar that sat in the corner of his dorm during every study session.
the murmur of conversations hushed into silence as the raven haired boy began to strum a melody that was hauntingly beautiful. his voice, smooth as velvet, filled the air.
something about you just makes me feel guilty for liking you, when you’re with him…when you're with him.
you’d heard megumi sing before, your group was always supportive of him, but it never ceased to amaze you how well he could carry a tune, how beautiful of a voice he had and how content he looks on stage, strumming away at that beloved guitar. it was a beautiful sight, truly. he looked beautiful.
as he sang along, his gaze found yours amongst the sea of faces, the girl who had unknowingly inspired countless lines of poetry hidden within the folds of his tattered notebook. he knew you wouldn't understand right away, after all, it wasn’t like he’d ever made his intentions clear. but now, under the spotlight here he was, and despite himself he couldn’t stop his gaze from transfixing on you as he sang the words he’d written over and over again, your face clear in his mind.
this is a love song for a girl who will never know it's about her, i know it's pretty stupid, but I'm much too shy to tell her, she’s beaming that smile, all the while i’m all choke up in my own throat i guess there is no hope.
under the watchful eye of the spotlight, it was his confession, woven through the sound of strumming strings and the scent of freshly brewed coffee. he didn’t even realize it himself, but as those blue eyes of his continued to lock with yours, you realized something. he was singing that song to you…for you. and in that moment, amidst the melody and the whispers of the cafe, something shifted. the realization of why your impending break-up with kade seemed to be so relieving. it was because of megumi.
as the final chord echoed through the hushed room, a round of applause erupted, pulling you back to reality. megumi’s eyes lingered on yours for a fraction of a second longer before he looked away, a faint blush painting his cheeks as he mumbled a "thank you" into the microphone.
you were left standing there, dumbfounded by what had just transpired. that was about you right? he was singing that to you…right? and as the performance ended, and the crowd began to disperse, you couldn’t stop your feet from moving as you made your way to him. your heart hammering in your chest with each step.
megumi was packing away his guitar when he looked up at you. his eyes, usually so guarded and veiled by a cold demeanor, now held a vulnerability you had never seen before. for a moment, no words were exchanged, but the air around you felt almost suffocatingly thick.
“hey," you started, and your voice cracking over the sound of your drumming heart. "you were uh-amazing out there."
megumi’s hands continued to fiddle with his guitar case, “thanks," he finally muttered, his gaze lifting to meet yours fully. "i’m glad you could make it."
you took a step closer, the song's lyrics still echoing in your head. "that song," you hesitated, searching his face for any sign of what was going on in his head. but in all too familiar style, you couldn’t figure it out. “it was beautiful. what was it about?"
megumi paused, a long breath in and out, as if deciding what exactly to say. he wondered if you could hear the beating of his heart, a sound threatening to burst from his chest. "songs can be about a lot of things," he started, his voice cautious. "or... people. it’s kind of open to interpretation, isn't it?"
your eyebrows furrowed slightly, maybe you were just imagining things…but you had to be sure. “megumi," you took another step, closing the distance between you, driven by a boldness you hadn't known you possessed. "you-were you singing that song to me?” you look away for a second before meeting his eyes again.
megumi stood up. his usual reserved demeanor seemed to melt away just a bit as he took a step toward you, closing the final gap. “yes.” one word, spoken as his gaze softened. a smile tugged at the corner of his lips and you realized in that moment it’s the first time you’d ever seen him smile. he really was beautiful, you thought. “finally figured it out huh?”
for a moment, you both just stood there, the cafe around you fading into a blur. heartbeats beating in synchronization as you looked into each others eyes. only seconds had passed but it seemed like an eternity, until you finally broke the silence with three simple words,
“than…kiss me.”

Pleased To Meet You.
Pairing Travis Kelce x Reader
Words 1288
Warnings Literally nothing! This is super soft and fluffy.
Thank you to the Anon who sent this in! It's super cute and fluffy and just what I needed for a break from all of the smut! But don't worry, the smut will be back soon enough! "would you write a fic where kelce introduces reader to his parents & family 👀👀"
Tumblr media
"I'm so nervous." You whimpered, shaking your hands in front of you in an attempt to dry your moist palms.
Travis rested his arms around your shoulders, pulling you in closer, "Baby, it's just coffee. Relax."
"It's coffee with your Mom! I know how important your family is to you, I just want her to like me."
"And they will." He pressed a warming kiss into your temple.
Your eyebrows clenched together, "Wait, what do you mean by 'they'?"
Travis took hold of your hand and walked a little faster, heading towards the coffee shop door, "Nothing, come on. Mom'll be here in a minute."
The heated air of the coffee shop washed over you and your hands instantly clammed up again. You wiped your palms against your sweater, silently scolding yourself for wearing something so warm. Looking around, you took a deep breath to try and calm yourself. The room was bright and welcoming, with soft leather sofas scattered around and old and black and white movie stills adorning the walls.
"What do you want, sweetie?" Travis asked over his shoulder to you.
"A vanilla latte...and an espresso."
He narrowed his eyes.
"What? I need the energy!" You shrugged.
Travis beamed a smile and you turned on your heels, noticing a cosy area in the corner of the room surrounded by hanging plants and warm lighting. As you walked towards it, you passed various groups of people; a smartly dressed man typing on his laptop, a trio of girls sipping iced coffees and giggling, an older couple sharing a blueberry muffin. You reached the corner, your fingers dancing across the top of the deep orange armchair when Travis appeared with your two coffees and a large cinnamon roll.
"Aww thank you baby! My favourite!" You cooed as you took hold of the plate.
Travis rocked back on his heel awkwardly, "Yeah, I got it so you would remember what a great guy I am."
"What does that mean?" You questioned.
Just then, the bell above the door rang and you glanced over to the entrance to see Donna, Travis' Mom walking over to you, a wide smile on her face. You stood up, smoothing down your skirt and running a hand through your hair.
"Hello hello hello!" Donna sang out.
"Hey Momma!" Travis called, walking towards her with his arms out-stretched.
Donna waved him away, her focus solely on you, "You can wait! I wanna meet this beauty first!" She grabbed onto your hands and looked you up and down, "Travvy, how did you get a girl like this?"
You giggled, "Pleased to meet you, Mrs Kelce."
Donna's eyes widened, "And polite too! Honestly sweetie, Donna is absolutely fine, but I appreciate it."
She pulled you in for a tight hug and you instantly relaxed.
"Uh...hello?"
Donna smiled as she turned around, "Oh stop your whining, how many times have you brought a girl home?" She laughed and buried her face in his chest, his large arms wrapped around her.
You loved seeing this side of Travis. He had made it clear that his family were incredibly important to him, and that he loved his Mom more than anything in the world. But to see him interact with her was special.
"Can I get you a coffee?" Travis said, still holding his Mom close.
"Oh, I thought you'd never ask! Just a cappuccino for me please." She let go of her 6 foot 5 inched son and stepped towards you, sitting down on the sofa.
You followed and sat next to her, her sweet perfume filling your nostrils and calming you further. She grabbed at your hands, smiling warmly.
"It really is so good to meet you, Travis has told me a lot about you."
You blushed slightly, "He's told me so much about you too, I feel like I know you already!"
"He's a good boy." She looked over to the coffee counter where Travis was waiting, "When he moved to Missouri a couple of years ago I was worried, of course, as any Mom would be. But he seems to have settled well. And now he's a got a good woman to keep him right."
You winked, "I'll try my best!"
"So, how long have you been dating?"
"It's a been a couple of months, so still really early days but it's going really well. He's a good guy."
Donna squeezed her shoulders upwards in elation, "I am so happy for the both of you!"
Your cheeks flushed again, Donna's warmth radiating to you. You looked up and watched as Travis waited patiently in the queue, occasionally glancing over to you and smiling so broad that his eyes disappeared into slits. You felt a strong flutter in the pit of your stomach, but this time it wasn't nerves, it was sheer happiness.
You chatted more with Donna, talking about your work, your family and your relationship so far when Travis finally arrived back with the cappuccino. His cell phone beeped in his pocket and when he checked it, his face subtly lit up. You narrowed your eyes, watching as he looked back towards the door.
"Is everything okay?" You asked.
Travis smiled and picked up his mug, "Sure." He glanced back at the door before turning to look at Donna, a sly grin forming on both of their lips.
"Okay, what's going on?"
Before either of them had chance to answer, the coffee shop door swung open and a large, bearded man walked in with a dark blonde haired woman in tow. His eyes were fully focused on Travis and they were heading straight for you. You shifted in your seat as another man followed, he was older and had white hair on his head and chin. Donna squeezed your hands whilst Travis gave you a guilty look.
"Heyyyyyy!" The first man shouted, grabbing Travis and slapping his back.
"Y/N, this is my brother Jason, his girlfriend Kylie and my Dad Ed."
You swallowed hard, your eyebrows raised, "Wow, I wasn't expecting to meet everyone at once!"
Travis laughed, "Hence the cinnamon roll. You're not mad are you?"
"No no!" You smiled, "This is awesome! It's so nice to meet you all." You quickly rose to your feet and greeted each of them with a warm embrace.
"Well, we thought whilst everyone was in town." Ed said as he pulled you closer.
Kylie moved around the table to sit with you and Donna, "Don't worry Y/N, I got the ambush too when me and Jason started dating. It's nice not to be the new girl anymore!"
You laughed, "Well, you're welcome! How long have you two been together?"
Kylie rested back on the sofa, "Around 6 months, so it's still fresh."
"You two can hold each others hands through the madness of dating a Kelce!" Donna quipped.
Jason's mouth dropped open in mock offense, "I heard that, Mom."
"I hope Travis is treating you well, Y/N." Ed smiled, "Speaking of which, how did Travis get a lovely girl like you to go out with him?"
"Damn...why does everyone keep saying that?" Travis asked, his hands in the air.
Donna sipped her coffee, struggling to keep herself from laughing. You pouted your lips to Travis, giggling under your breath. Jason covered his in an attempt to muffle his loud howl.
"It's a little cramped here with all of us now." Donna finished the rest of her coffee before standing up, "How about a big family barbeque at Mom's?"
"I heard that!" Ed shouted, slapping his stomach.
Travis looked over the table at you, his head titled and his eyebrows raised, "How about it?"
The familiar stomach flutter came back, stronger this time, "I would love to."
______________________________________________________________
I did this one a little different and set it somewhere around 2015, when Jason and Kylie first started dating, and Travis wasn't the big superstar that he is now. This was very cute to write as they seem like such an amazing family so I didn't struggle at all! To be on my Taglist, just let me know!

"Hey, Suguuu," Gojo sang out, leaning back in his chair, his legs propped up on the table.
"What?" Geto answered, not looking up from his book.
"You wanna see something funny?" He asked, a smirk on his face.
"No," Geto replied, not looking up from his book.
Gojo ignored his answer and skipped over to him. He pulled out his phone, holding it out to obscure his view of the book. He was scrolling through his camera roll, which had dozens of photos of you and Geto asleep from this morning. Most of them unflattering.
"Look at these!" Gojo laughed, shoving his phone in front of Geto.
Geto sighed and took the phone from him, his eyes widening when he saw the photo. "Satoru, why would you take a picture of me drooling in my sleep?!" He scolded, turning to his friend.
Gojo couldn't help but laugh, "Because it's hilarious!"
You walked in from the kitchen, coffee cup in hand and eyebrows raised from the commotion. It had been three weeks since that first night, and things were going surprisingly smooth. "What are you two doing?" You asked, sipping your drink.
"I'm showing Suguru pictures of him drooling," Gojo snickered, "he's very upset."
Geto scowled, pulling the back of Gojo's blindfold and releasing it to smack back on his head like a rubber band. The sight of Gojo's dramatic reaction made both of you laugh.
"Hey!" Gojo exclaimed, "That was rude! It's not my fault you're drooling like a dog."
"I'm not a dog, idiot," Geto said, turning back to his book, "and even if I was, I'd still have better manners than you."
Walking over, you shook your head and giggled at their antics. "Scooch over, I want to see them, too,"
Gojo immediately pulled his legs off the coffee table and opened his arms, inviting you into his lap. "Come here, beautiful," he smirked.
You smiled and climbed into his lap, snuggling up close. Though, your smile was short lived, it faded as Gojo swiped though the pictures he took this morning. Is that one of just your nostrils?- What the fuck. "Oh, ew," you cringed, "why do you have so many pictures of me drooling, and sleeping!" complaining, you pushed his phone away.
"Hey, what's wrong with it?" Gojo asked, pouting, "I like looking at them, they're cute. Like this one- look how pretty you are, even in your sleep."
"Baby- I look like I'm dead in that one, you can't be serious." You groaned, hiding your face in his neck.
Gojo chuckled and wrapped his arms around you, "More like drop dead gorgeous," he smiled brightly.
"You're the worst," you mumbled, leaning into him, "at least delete some of them."
He shook his head, ignoring your request, and turned his phone to Geto, who was sitting across from you two. "See? Isn't she cute?"
Geto laughed, his eyes crinkling as a smile formed on his face. “Yeah I like that one much better than the one of me,” You rolled your eyes and leaned your head on Gojo's chest, sighing as you relaxed. "Are you still tired?" Geto asked, closing his book and turning to you, his hand finding its way onto your thigh.
"Yeah," you yawned, "but I can't go back to sleep, it’s already too late in the day.” The sun was bright out and it was nearing lunchtime, you'd slept in later than usual.
"Well, then we'll have to make sure you stay awake," Gojo teased, his hand slowly trailing up your waist. You were wearing one of his shirts, a baggy crewneck that hung loosely over you along with a pair of his boxers as shorts. Geto smirked and leaned forward, close enough for him to caress your thigh, rubbing circles into your skin, "any ideas, Sugu?" Gojo asked, looking at Geto.
"Hmm," he hummed, his hand moving higher, "a few." You could feel your face heat up, and a small shiver ran down your spine.
"Oh?" Gojo questioned, raising an eyebrow, "Like what?"
Geto leaned forward, his hand traveling up your thigh and stopping on your hip, his fingers dipping just underneath the waistband of your shorts. "I was thinking," he began, his voice low, "that maybe," he cut himself off when your lips met in a heated kiss.
Gojo smiled and watched as your lips moved in sync. You sighed, your body relaxing into Gojo's touch as he held you close, Geto's hand was now on the inside of your thigh, just grazing against the sensitive skin.
Geto pulled away and rested his forehead against yours. "Maybe what?" Gojo pressed, wanting Geto to finish his thought.
"Maybe we could..." Geto trailed off, his lips ghosting against yours, until he pulled away and sat in his previous spot against the armrest of the couch with his arms crossed and a smug smirk, "go into the city today? I’m almost done with my book and wanna pick up a new one.”
Gojo's jaw dropped and your face heated with wide eyes. "Really, Suguru?!" Gojo exclaimed, speaking for the both of you as you were left speechless, "That's what you're going to say? Are you kidding me?"
Geto laughed and shrugged, "What?" he asked, feigning innocence, "I thought it was a good idea. It's rare we go into the city just to go and not to deal with any curses."
Gojo groaned, rolling his eyes and shaking his head, "You're unbelievable,"
"Well, it's settled then," Geto said, standing up and walking towards the hallway, "we'll go into the city! We can even go to that cute bookstore that you like- the one that has free tea,"
Gojo rolled his eyes as a smile crept up, he couldn't argue with free tea, "Okay, fine," he sighed, "let's get ready."
You stood up and walked over to Geto, giving him a playful glare, "Don't think taking me to that bookstore is going to make me forget about your shenanigans," you poked him in the side, earning a laugh from him.
"I'll make it up to you tonight," Geto promised, wrapping his arms around you and pressing a kiss on your temple.
"Good," you replied, smiling and leaning into his embrace, "come on, let's leave in like 30 minutes?"
Gojo nodded and the three of you split up, going to get ready for your outing.

Gojo's driver dropped you three off downtown. The streets were busy and bustling with people and cars, a stark contrast from your normal quiet and secluded life at the school. Geto linked his arm with yours and Gojo followed close behind, looking at all the shops and restaurants.
You walked down a few blocks and finally made it to the bookstore you three had went there for. The small shop was dimly lit and had floor to ceiling shelves full of books. After you were greeted by the cashier, the three of you separated into your desired sections.
You were on a mission, worked your way through the shelves, hoping to pick up the next issue in your favorite series. After a few minutes of skimming through the aisles, you stumbled upon Geto. He smiled, putting down the books he was examining. "Hi, stranger," he greeted, leaning down to peck a kiss on your cheek.
You closed your eyes as his lips met your skin. He placed his hand on the small of your back and pulled you closer. "Hi," you replied with a wide smile, the spot he had kissed tingling.
His head tilted slightly as he looked down at you with a fond smile, a strand of his black hair falling from its place, "Found what you were looking for?" He asked, leaning back on the bookcase.
"Almost, I can't seem to find the last book in that series I'm reading," you said, letting out a frustrated sigh.
He laughed and reached above your head, taking down the novel that you were searching for. "You mean this one?" He asked, placing the book in your hand. You had talked his ear off about the previous books, so it was no surprise that he recognized the book you were searching for.
"Oh my god," you laughed, shaking your head, "thank you!" Geto smiled and watched as you excitedly flipped through the pages
"You're welcome, sweet girl," he hummed, ruffling your hair. He picked up his own stack of books and turned back to you. "Wanna go look for Toru?"
"Yeah," you nodded, taking his hand and lacing your fingers together, "Let's find him and make sure he hasn’t gotten himself into too much trouble."
You wandered through the store, looking for Gojo. Geto was telling you about the books he'd picked out and was explaining how the plot was progressing, and how he was excited to see the direction the author would take the storyline. God, you could listen to him talk all day.
As you looked, though, you had trouble finding Gojo. He was nowhere to be found. “We’ve checked through all the aisles, where is he?” Geto asked, obviously annoyed with the searching. You opened your mouth and were about to answer, but a familiar groan sounded out throughout the store.
Turning around, you two knew that it came from the lounge area in the corner of the store. The cushioned benches were filled with a mismatch of people reading or chatting quietly. You and Geto walked over, scanning the seating for your missing boyfriend.
And there he was.
In deep focus, Gojo sat, playing a game of chess with a child who was no older than 12. A cheeky smile spread across your lips, and Geto let out a sigh and shook his head. The two of you moved next to Gojo, who was scowling down at the kid through his sunglasses.
"Toru, what are you doing?" You laughed, sitting beside him on the bench.
"Shh shh shh- I need to focus," Gojo grumbled, his brow furrowed in concentration.
“You’re losing,” Geto said after looking at the pieces, sitting beside you on a sofa that gave you two a good view of the game.
"You think I don't know that?" He snapped, waving his hand. You and Geto exchanged a glance, "Rude," You snorted.
"How did you even get caught up in this?" Geto asked, chuckling.
"I came over here to pour myself some tea, and this little gremlin challenged me to a game of chess," Gojo explained, moving his knight forward, “Didn’t think I’d be up against a child prodigy or something,” he grumbled under his breath. You and Geto just laughed, finding his frustration entertaining.
A short while later, the game was finished, and Gojo lost spectacularly. "Ha! Check mate!" The kid exclaimed, throwing his arms up in celebration as Gojo stared at the board with his jaw dropped.
"What- How?" Gojo grumbled, tilting his head as he inspected the pieces.
You and Geto were laughing, enjoying the show. "Aww are you okay, baby?" You teased, placing a hand on his shoulder
He shot you a glare. "No, shut up," he grumbled.
"Aww, it's okay, Toru," Geto said, smirking. "You can't win them all, you know?"
Gojo sat up from the chair and rolled his eyes, “I let him win,” he mumbled, waving the child off. You and Geto chuckled, standing up as well. "Suuuure," Geto chuckled.
You took Gojo's hand and gave it a small squeeze as the three of you walked to pay for the books. "Whatever," he sighed, looking over his shoulder for one last glance at the board.
After checking out, you stopped to get lunch before going back home. You three chose a restaurant that had patio seating so you could enjoy the nice weather. You sat between Gojo and Geto, smiling brightly as you chatted and ate. "This is so nice," you sighed, leaning back in your seat, "thank you for taking me out,"
"Of course," Geto said, wrapping his arm around the back of your chair.
"Anytime, baby," Gojo added, leaning over and pecking a kiss on your cheek.
You three talked for a while longer and enjoyed the nice weather. The breeze was cool and the sun was shining brightly. After your delicious meal, Gojo paid the bill and you three decided to walk around the city for a little while longer.
"Where are we headed to next?" Geto asked, holding your hand and swinging it playfully as you walked. "Hmm," you hummed, thinking for a moment, "what about we find something sweet?" you asked looking up at him with a coy smile.
Gojo's ears perked up, "Like candy?" He asked, walking over to your side, "or pastries?"
"Ooh yes," you nodded, "either sounds great,"
"Pastries it is!" Gojo exclaimed, taking your other hand and walking ahead, pulling you and Geto behind him.
Geto laughed and shook his head, "Toru, slow down," he called out, "you're going to make us trip."
Gojo slowed down his pace, but still tugged you and Geto along behind him. After a short walk, Gojo found the bakery that he had in mind. The sweet aroma of vanilla and sugar hit you three as soon as you opened the door. The three of you ordered a variety of goodies and decided to save them for later.
Gojo took them and placed them in a to-go box, and Geto paid for your order.
"Thank you, Sugu," you smiled, giving Geto a kiss on the cheek.
"Anything for you, sweet girl," he smiled, pressing a kiss to the crown of your head, "Alright, let's go home," he added, taking the box from Gojo's hand.
Gojo nodded and you three exited the shop, "I'll call my driver, I'm sure he's nearby," he said, pulling out his phone.
You nodded and the three of you waited for the car to arrive. Gojo's driver arrived shortly, and you three hopped in the backseat. "We're heading home," Gojo informed the driver.
When the three of you made it back home, Geto headed to the kitchen and you and Gojo made your way to the couch. Gojo fell onto the cushions and immediately stretched out, his head landing in your lap.
He hummed, looking up at you with half lidded eyes. You smiled and giggled, running a hand through his hair, "So pretty," You mumbled, scratching his scalp. He groaned and pushed into your touch, like a dog craving affection.
He wanted to say something smart back at you but couldn't find any words as you ran your fingernails through his hair, his mind instantly melting into jelly. Pleased with the reaction, you were more than happy to indulge him.
To both of your pleasant surprise, Geto joined as well, coming behind you to lean over the back of the couch, looping his arms around your shoulders. Leaning into the crook of your neck he whispered against your ear, “I have tea brewing in the kitchen for us, is there anything else you’d want?” His voice is like honey, silky smooth and laced with unspoken intentions.
"Oh?" You gasped, your voice suddenly high pitched and brittle. The simple act of his voice alone put butterflies in your stomach and made your spine tingle, instantly bringing you to a world of desire, "How thoughtful," You added, your cheeks warming.
He laughed and his mouth found its place on the side of your neck, his teeth and tongue grazing your skin, "Mmm, just tell me, princess. Anything you want." He hummed, Gojo's eyes fluttering open, his head still in your lap.
The devotion in his voice and the way his hands moved to squeeze at your sides had your knees weak. Gojo watched from your lap and smirked, "Sugu, stop distracting her, we still need to hear what she wants," he teased, his eyes flicking between you and Geto.
"You're right, my apologies," Geto chuckled, pulling away and kissing your head, "Go ahead, angel. What's on your mind?"
Taking a moment to gather your thoughts, you shifted slightly in your seat. “What if you made that pho again for dinner later- the one you made last week. It was really good, right, Toru?” You asked, looking down at Gojo.
Gojo's face lit up and he sat up, nodding, "Yes! Please,"
Geto smiled and pressed a kiss on your cheek, "Done," he said, making his way to the kitchen, a little more enthusiastic about cooking than usual.
"Thank you!" You giggled, "Your food is amazing, Suguru," you called after him, a bright smile on your face.
"You can thank me later, sweet girl," he winked, chuckling.
You grabbed the remote, flipping the television onto a channel, settling on a show you’ve watched countless times. As the episode started, Gojo immediately laid back down, his head once again rested on your lap. He rubbed his cheek on your thighs and his hands splayed across your legs. You ran your nails through his hair, caressing his face with the other hand. He closed his eyes and hummed, taking in all of the attention.
“Hey,” you scrunched Gojo’s hair playfully to get his attention, “I was thinking,” you started, making Gojo raise a questioning eyebrow, You cleared your throat and continued, "So... about thanking Sugu later- I think it would be fun for both of us to show him our appreciation… together?” you traced your fingertips over Gojo's cheekbone, stroking lightly.
Gojo chuckled and raised his eyebrows, his bright blue eyes meeting yours, "Oh?" He grinned, looking up at you, "Are you suggesting what I think you are?" He asked, smirking, "Tell me, what did you have in mind?"
You shrugged and bit the inside of your cheek nervously, “I dunno- you, me… on our knees… in front of him…?” You raised an eyebrow in question at Gojo, questioning if this would actually be something he'd consider. The slow smile that grew on his face should have been an answer in itself, but you'll always want to hear him speak his thoughts to affirm them.
His fingers rubbed small circles on your thighs, his eyes never leaving yours, "Mm, I like the sound of that," he said, looking up at you suggestively, his voice low and serious. "Would you like that too, hmm? Me, holding your pretty little wrists together, the pair of us sucking his dick, worshipping every inch," Gojo paused and his tongue darted out, wetting his lips, "You would look so beautiful like that, baby, his cum spilling out of your pretty little mouth.”
A smirk rose to his lips as he delivered his speech. You stayed silent, stunned at his forwardness. “Mm? Is that what you have planned in that beautiful head of yours?"
"God, you're so hot when you talk like that," you managed to sigh out, more breathily than you anticipated.
Releasing his grasp on your thigh, Gojo moved his hand to your face, gently lifting your chin. The two of you locked eyes and he leaned forward, his face coming closer to yours. "Does that mean I'm right?" He teased, watching your every move.
Nodding slightly, you answered, a nervous flutter tickled your stomach. "I just- want to make him feel good," you whispered, cupping his cheek, "and share that with you..."
"Well," Gojo smiled, leaning forward to place a kiss on your cheek, "then that's exactly what we should do."
You bit your lip, looking to meet his beautiful blue eyes. Just as your lips were about to brush his in a soft, gentle embrace, a laughter from behind pulled you from your trance.
"Oh? Are we telling secrets now?" Geto mused, walking into the room with a tray of steaming tea. Gojo pulled away quickly and rolled his eyes, "Actually, we were having a very serious conversation."
"Oh, of course," Geto chuckled, setting the tray down on the coffee table, "I forgot you're the most serious person in the world. And what would this serious conversation be?" He teased, handing you a mug.
"It was about- uh," Gojo stumbled looking around the room, trying to come up with an excuse, "World peace!" he grinned at Geto, like it was actually believable.
You rolled your eyes and almost palmed your forehead. Geto raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing his friend. He sat down beside you and smirked, "World peace, huh? Interesting. I would have never guessed."
"Yeah! We were talking about the economy and how fucked it is," Gojo continued, gesturing wildly, "Someone should really get on top of that!"
You and Geto shared a look, and both had to stifle a laugh.
"Really? Is that so?" Geto chuckled, sipping his tea.
"Yep!" Gojo replied, popping the 'p', "That's why I'm going to run for prime minister next election, and you two are going to be my first ladies!"
At this point, you couldn't hold back your laughter, Geto joined in, almost choking on his tea. Gojo crossed his arms and pouted, "Hey! Stop laughing, I'm being serious. I could totally be prime minister!"
You and Geto were practically crying from laughing so hard.
"You two are so impossible," Gojo mumbled, turning away from you. Geto wiped a tear from his eye and tried to catch his breath. "You're right, Satoru," he chuckled, "we're sorry. Please continue your very important serious conversation,"
Gojo stuck his tongue out at him, "Keep up this attitude and you won't be my first lady," he grumbled.
Geto couldn't hold back his laugh, "Oh, no. How will I live?"
"I hate you," Gojo sighed, shaking his head with a smile beginning to show.
"No, you don't," you giggled, taking his hand in yours.
Gojo looked at you and rolled his eyes, sighing, "No, I don't," he admitted.
"Come here," you smiled, pulling him closer to you. Geto set his mug down and scooted closer as well, draping his arm over your shoulder. Gojo cuddled into your side, his head resting on your chest. The three of you nestled together, cuddling closely, and watching television.
After a few episodes finished, Geto got up and made his way to the kitchen, beginning to prepare dinner and you followed after trying to convince him to let you help. "Sweet girl, you go back and relax- you don't need to lift a finger," Geto smiled, ruffling your hair.
"But I want to help!" You protested, grabbing his arm, "Please, Sugu,"
He sighed and shook his head, "Fine, you can help me cut the vegetables, but nothing else, okay?" You smiled and nodded, "Okay, deal,"
"Toru!" Geto called, turning to the living room, "Go set the table!"
"Coming!" Gojo yelled back, stretching as he got up from the couch.
You giggled and Geto pulled you into his chest from behind, his arms wrapping around your waist. "What's so funny, hmm?" He asked, squeezing your sides.
You squealed and squirmed in his arms, "Nothing, I'm just happy," you giggled craning your head back to look at him.
"Mmm, you're adorable," Geto chuckled, placing a kiss on your temple.
You blushed and nuzzled into his chest, "Thank you,"
Gojo entered the kitchen and rolled his eyes, "Ugh, I leave for five seconds and you're already all over each other," he whined, a pout on his lips, "why can't I get any attention?"
Turning to him, you laughed and shook your head. "Come here, you can help me with the veggies," you held your arms out, inviting him into your embrace.
Gojo didn't hesitate to scoop you up from Geto's hold, hugging you tightly. "Good," he smirked, burying his face into your chest, "Much better,"
"Toru, you better actually help her chop the vegetables," Geto scolded, placing an extra knife on the cutting board.
"Of course!" Gojo replied with a salute and set you down, taking a spot beside you.
Once Geto finished cooking, the three of you enjoyed the meal together, laughing, joking, and teasing.
"God, this is so good," Gojo hummed, shoveling another bite into his mouth.
"Thank you," Geto replied, "glad you enjoy it."
"This is amazing, Sugu," you smiled, taking a sip of your drink, "I don't think I'll ever get tired of your cooking,"
"Thank you, baby," Geto smiled, rubbing your thigh, "that's very sweet of you,"
"It's the truth," you giggled, "Toru agrees, don't you?"
Gojo nodded enthusiastically while slurping up the long noodles.
"Well, thank you both," Geto chuckled, continuing to eat.
Once the three of you finished dinner and cleaned the kitchen, Geto insisted on doing the dishes. "No, Toru and I can do them!" you said, grabbing a dish towel and opening the cabinet.
"No, no," Geto replied, gently pushing you away from the sink, "Toru can dry," he handed Gojo a dish rag, "but you go and relax. You helped me enough during dinner."
"Sugu, I-"
"Sweet girl," Geto interrupted, "go. Relax. You've had a busy day," When you looked to Gojo for some assistance, he proved to be no help. Instead, he gave you a big grin that made the corner of his eyes crinkle and took the towel from your hands and draped it over his shoulder.
Sighing, you knew that there was no point in arguing, so you turned on your heel and left to the bedroom.
When you walked in, you realized a quick shower sounded nice. So you stripped out of your clothes, turning the water on. Once the water was nice and warm, you stepped in, letting the water wash over you. After you finished showering, you walked out of the bathroom in your makeshift towel dress.
At the same time, the two boys we're just walking into the bedroom, finishing their clean up duties. Gojo and Geto couldn't help but stop and stare as you walked into the bedroom, water dripping down your skin, your damp hair framing your face, and a towel that barely covered you.
"Holy shit," Geto mumbled, his eyes trailing up and down your body.
"You're so beautiful," Gojo added, his eyes wide, practically glued to you.
You blushed, feeling their gaze on you. "Thanks," you smiled, giggling at their reactions, "I'm just gonna throw some pajamas on," You added, walking over to the closet.
Gojo and Geto exchanged a look and both shook their heads. "No you're not," Gojo said, crossing his arms.
"Not yet at least," Geto added, smirking, "Why cover up when we're just going to take them off of you?"
You stopped in your tracks, feeling your face heat up. "Oh?" You squeaked, looking back at the pair.
"Mhm," Geto hummed, walking over to you and taking your hand, "Unless you're not interested, which is completely fine."
Your eyes widened and you looked up at him shaking your head, "No I am interested, in fact-" you looked behind Geto to Gojo and gestured for him to come closer, "That’s what Toru and I were talking about earlier."
Geto raised an eyebrow, smiling, "Oh were you now?" He asked, pulling you closer.
"We were," Gojo added, stepping beside Geto, his hand finding its way to your waist, "and we've decided that we want to show you how much we appreciate you,"
Geto smirked, "Is that so?" He asked, leaning forward, his forehead resting against yours.
"Mhm," you hummed, placing a hand on his chest, "will you let us?", slowly, you began to slide your hand down until it rested just above his waistband, "please?"
"How could I say no to such a pretty girl," Geto hummed, leaning down to place a kiss on your neck, "especially when she asks so nicely."
You shivered as his lips met your skin. Gojo stepped closer, his hand moving from your waist, slowly trailing down the curve of your hips until it reached the hem of the towel. With a tug, it dropped from your body, leaving you bare, sans the droplets that still peppered your skin.
"Sit on the bed for us, Sugu," Gojo said, looking up at his friend, "We'll take care of you, I promise."
Geto nodded and moved to sit on the edge of the bed, his eyes never leaving you. Gojo's hand moved to the small of your back, gently leading like a dog and a lamb.
Kneeling down, you were at the perfect level. Your hand lifted to gently palm Geto through his pants, earning a groan. You smiled up at him, Gojo's hand encouraging you to continue. Geto was already straining against his pants.
"Excited are we?" Gojo asked, kneeling down beside you. Geto only groaned, bucking his hips forward, seeking your touch. Gojo wrapped his arms around your waist and guided you forward, Geto's legs spreading to accommodate the two of you. Slowly, you undid his belt and unraveld it from the loops, dropping it between you and Gojo.
As your fingers continued with the button and zipper of the pants Geto tugged off his shirt, meanwhile, Gojo grabbed the belt and narrowed his eyes while turning it.
After you undid the zipper you were about to pull down his pants, but your hands paused mid-air from Gojo's voice, "Put your hands behind your back," he commanded, voice low.
Your hands immediately dropped, the command sending a jolt of pleasure straight to your core. Turning to Gojo, you complied, your hands reaching behind you and clasping together. He wrapped the belt around your wrists, securing them together.
"You remember our word still right?" Gojo asked, pressing a kiss on your temple.
"Yes- blue." you nodded, testing the restraints to make sure it wasn't too tight.
"Good girl," Gojo hummed, gently petting your head.
Geto was watching the exchange with lidded eyes. He couldn't help but feel more aroused from watching you so obediently follow Gojo's commands.
Gojo turned his attention back to Geto, "Now, where were we?" He asked, helping you pull down Geto's pants.
With his cock springing free from the confines of his pants, he was already rock hard, precum leaking from the tip.
"Look how excited he is for us," Gojo smirked, taking Geto's length in his hand and giving it a slow, firm pump.
"Fuck," Geto groaned, bucking his hips into Gojo's hand.
"So eager," Gojo teased, pumping him again, this time even slower. Shifting your weight forward, you pressed a soft kiss onto the inside of his right thigh. Geto moaned, his eyes trained on you. Slowly, you kissed up his leg, moving closer and closer to his throbbing cock.
Gojo's hand continued to stroke Geto slowly, the anticipation killing him. Before you could reach where he wanted you, you moved your lips to the opposite side, starting all over. Geto whined, bucking his hips, but Gojo's free hand shot to his hip, holding him in place.
"Patience," Gojo tutted, slowing his pumps even more.
"Toru, please," Geto groaned, his head falling back, "just let her suck me already- or you suck me, or at least jerk me off faster."
Gojo chuckled and shook his head, "So impatient. Do you deserve it?"
"Yes," Geto hissed, his fists balling up.
"Toru, be nice," you pouted, looking up at Gojo, "he deserves it,"
Gojo sighed and smiled, "Go ahead, babygirl," he hummed, keeping his grip around the base of Geto's cock.
You lifted yourself onto the tops of your knees and were about to capture the tip in your mouth when Gojo unraveled his hand around Geto's cock and pushed his pointer and middle finger into your mouth. Your eyes widened, surprised from the action, but you opened your mouth and Gojo's fingers immediately went deeper.
"Get them nice and wet, baby," Gojo hummed, gently thrusting his fingers in and out of your mouth, "good girl, just like that."
Geto watched with lustful eyes, Gojo's fingers disappearing and reappearing from your lips. After a moment, Gojo pulled his fingers out and moved them back to Geto's cock, using your spit as lube. With his other hand he wrapped your hair into his fist and brought you to his balls.
"Suck," he commanded, and you obeyed. Opening your mouth, you sucked and licked obediently, Gojo's hand guiding you.
"Toru-" Geto moaned, his fingers tangling in the sheets beneath him, "that wasn't what I meant- please, just let her suck my dick,"
"She's a good girl," Gojo hummed, "listening to me so well. Aren't you, baby?"
You hummed in response, Geto's balls still in your mouth. "See?" Gojo chuckled, petting your head, "And she’s doing such a good job too. She can stay down here a little longer, seems quite comfortable."
Geto groaned, his cock throbbing from the sight before him. You, on your knees, bound hands behind your back, and your mouth worshiping his balls.
Gojo tugged your hair, pulling your mouth away from his balls and brought you just a breath away from the tip of Geto's cock. "How badly do you want to fuck her pretty little mouth?" Gojo asked, his fingers tracing Geto's length.
"So fucking badly," Geto groaned, his knuckles turning white from his grip on the sheets.
"That's not good enough," Gojo smirked, shaking his head.
Geto groaned, bucking his hips forward, but Gojo was faster, and moved you away before Geto could hit his target. "Toru, please," Geto begged, "please let her suck my cock,"
"Hmm," Gojo hummed, pretending to think, "see- I think you can do better than that," Gojo looked down at you, "don't you think so, babygirl?"
You nodded, Geto's tip glistening from the precum that was practically pouring out. "I think so too," you hummed, licking your lips.
Gojo smiled and nodded, "See? Our sweet princess agrees. Tell me, Sugu, how badly do you want her pretty lips around your cock?"
Geto whined, Gojo's fingers were still tracing the tip and driving him crazy. "Toru, please. Fuck- I'm desperate," he groaned, his head falling back, "I've been thinking about her gorgeous mouth all day, and now she's so close and I can't even touch her. Please, Toru, I'm falling apart." Geto groaned, bucking his hips again.
"There we go," Gojo chuckled, "that's what I wanted to hear." With that, Gojo brought you forward and commanded, "Open,"
Immediately, you opened your mouth, waiting patiently, your eyes trained up at Geto. Gojo guided you down, and the sensation of your warm tongue against Geto's tip had his hips jerking up involuntarily. His head immediately hit the back of your throat, his length filling your mouth.
"Fuck," Geto moaned, his grip on the sheets tightening, "shit- I'm sorry, princess, are you okay?" Geto asked, his voice raspy.
You hummed in response, looking up at him with damp eyes and bobbing your head. Geto moaned, your humming vibrating through his cock.
Gojo watched with hungry eyes, his hand tangled in your hair, guiding your movements. "Isn't she such a good girl? Look how pretty she looks with your cock stuffed in her mouth,"
"Fuck, she's perfect," Geto groaned, his hips bucking involuntarily.
You hollowed your cheeks, swirling your tongue along his shaft. With Gojo's hand guiding your movements, you took Geto's length as deep as you could, your nose brushing his pelvis.
Geto moaned, his hand moving to the back of your head. Gojo immediately swatted him away, "Hands off," he warned, narrowing his eyes.
"Toru, please, let me touch her, please," Geto begged, his hand hovering just above your head.
Gojo hummed, pretending to think, "I suppose. Since you've been so good," Gojo released his hand from your hair and Geto immediately replacing and tangled his fingers into your locks.
"Fuck, you look so gorgeous," Geto groaned, his hips bucking up. You moaned around his length, his praise going straight between your thighs.
Gojo knelt down and whispered into your ear, "Does that make you wet, baby?" he asked, his hand moving down your body and resting just above your clit.
"Mmhm," you hummed, bobbing your head. Gojo's fingers dipped lower, collecting the wetness that was pooling between your thighs.
"She's so soaked," Gojo chuckled, bringing his fingers to Geto's lips, offering him a taste of your slick.
Geto's tongue darted out and he immediately moaned, sucking the digits into his mouth. "She tastes so good," Geto groaned, his cock twitching in your mouth as you hollowed your cheeks again and bobbed your head, your tongue tracing the vein of his cock.
Geto shuttered, his cock hitting the back of your throat again. With his hand tangled in your hair, he was controlling the pace, his hips jerking up erratically.
"Someone's getting close," Gojo chuckled, watching Geto's abdomen flex as you deepthroated his cock. Geto whined, his fingers tightening in your hair. You continued to hollow your cheeks while sucking him as deep as you could. Gojo moved onto the bed behind him.
After undoing Geto's bun, he pushed aside his hair and placed kissed down his neck, starting from behind his ear. "Toru, fuck- she feels so good," Geto groaned, Gojo's tongue tracing the shell of his ear.
"Mhm, I bet she does. Such a good girl," Gojo hummed, nibbling on his earlobe, "look at how happy you make her..." his finger tips scratched through Geto's scalp massaging it gently. Geto moaned, his head falling back, resting on Gojo's shoulder.
Gojo wrapped his hand around Geto's hair and tugged, giving him perfect access to his neck, "How happy you make me," He bit down unexpectedly, his tongue tracing Geto's pulse, "how lucky we are to have you,"
Geto cried out, his cock hitting the back of your throat again.
"Look at you, falling apart so beautifully," Gojo hummed, his tongue licking the shell of Geto's ear, "such a good boy."
You hummed around Geto's length and bobbed your head faster, his grip tightening in your hair.
Geto moaned, Gojo's bites and licks on his neck, mixed with your mouth sucking his cock sent him over the edge.
"Fuck- princess- I'm gonna cum," Geto groaned, his hips bucking up, "fuck- fuck!" he cried out, spilling down your throat, his orgasm crashing through him.
Gojo wrapped his free hand around Geto's chest and held him close, your mouth milking him through his orgasm. Once Geto's orgasm subsided, his grip on your hair loosened and Gojo helped you pull away, his length slipping from your lips.
"Such a good girl," Gojo hummed, Geto panting, his eyes closed. Gojo's hands immediately undid the belt restraints around your wrists. You pulled your arms in front of you and Gojo massaged the red marks that were forming from the restraint and peppered them with kisses.
"Come here," Geto hummed, opening his eyes and extending his arms, "my sweet girl," You crawled onto the bed and Geto immediately pulled you into his chest. He wrapped his arms around you and Gojo crawled onto the bed behind you, his chest flush against your back. Geto cupped your chin, his thumb tracing your lips, "You're incredible," he hummed, leaning down and placing a kiss on your swollen lips, "so perfect,"
You giggled and snuggled into his chest, "thank you,"
"Toru," Geto hummed, reaching a hand behind you and beckoning Gojo closer. Gojo wrapped his arms around you and Geto, his lips peppering kisses between your shoulders. Geto tilted your chin up and captured your lips again in a soft, loving embrace.
"Thank you," Geto hummed, "both of you, that was amazing,"
Gojo chuckled and rested his head on your shoulder, "Of course."
"Anything for you," you hummed, tracing Geto's chest, "are you feeling relaxed now?"
"Very," Geto smiled, "would you like me to return the favor?"
Gojo perked up and shook his head, "No, let me," Gojo hummed, wagging his finger, "you sit back and relax, Sugu, I'll take care of our girl,"
Geto chuckled and nodded, "If you insist," he hummed, unwrapping his arms from you and Gojo, “but only for this round- next round I call having her legs wrapped around my face," he smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Gojo nodded and grinned while flipping you over and pinning you down underneath him. "Hi," he smiled, his face inches from yours.
"Hi," you giggled, wrapping your arms around his neck, "kiss me."
"As you wish," Gojo hummed, closing the space between you.
Geto watched from beside the pair of you, a smile on his face, "Mm, I'm so lucky,"

A little while ago while hanging out at the manor for game night, Stephanie introduced the family to another one of her current favorite artist.
This was nothing unusual, Steph had a new favorite artist almost every other week. But this one was different. It wasn't just a single person but a group that called themselves ‘Team Phantom’.
Every song was different as every song was sang by a different person. So there was a song for everyone, including Jason.
He feel in love with the soft smooth voice of ‘The Sister’. Her songs were so dreamy and melancholic, and told stories that he often couldn't understand but made him feel like if he were there doing whatever she was doing. Feeling whatever she was feeling.
It was amazing. Her voice was just so beautiful. So calming. So additive, the way it calmed the pits. He didn't know why but every time her songs played it was like the pits disappeared. And so did ever constant green haze that haunted him.
The sense of clarity he was left with when one of her songs ended was like a fuckin high and he couldn't get enough.
Long after the game night he sought after her music. Her songs. Her voice. It was his medicine and his drug. His addiction. Which sucked because just like every other addiction, withdrawal was a BITCH.
It's been six months since ‘The Sister’ has released a new song. Since ANY of Team Phantom had released any new songs. And it was really suspicious considering how consistent their schedules were. But that was okay, kinda. Life was life and maybe something happened. He'll just listen to her old songs on repeat like he's been doing for the last six months.
Is what he said until they posted a new video to their channel.
It wasn't the 3 to 4 minute animated or stagnant image music video he was uses to. Instead, it was a dark shaking video, as if someone was running. Then bright teal eyes appeared on the screen. Everything stopped for a moment. Then came the still soft and smooth but now trembling voice of ‘The Sister’.
She uttered a single word.
“Help.”
Before it ended and turned black.
It could honestly just be a prank. But something told him other wise.
Before he even decided what course of action he was going to take. A message came in through the family group chat. And from the Demon child no less.
‘We need to help Team Phantom. NOW!!!!!’
Everyone agreed.
And Jason felt very validated that he wasn't the only one secretly addicted to their music.
Now it's time to save Team Phantom.

Event Masterlist
Natasha's heart only had one true love. The ocean had always called to her.
Her father was dishonorably discharged from the navy and her mother was the rebellious daughter of a fisherman. Natasha was practically born to be a pirate.
Natasha was made for the sea. Her lungs were meant to only inhale the bitter saltiness of the air and her eyes were cameras determined to capture every beautiful creature within the ocean. Only her nose could truly appreciate the stench of the ocean. She was blessed with hair long enough to catch the winds of the sea like a sail and ears sharp enough to hear all the beautiful songs the mermaids sang. Yet her hands had nothing.
When she was younger Natasha would occupy them by playing around in the sand and collecting sea shells. Now she was thirty years old and couldn't find much more than a fleeting join. Occasionally she'd pick up something interesting for Steve to draw but nothing that truly interested her. Natasha wasn't even foolish enough to consider wasting precious sea life for the sake of entertainment. She later found she didn't have the heart or the stomach to dissect it even if it died of natural causes.
Poseidon must have been particularly endeared by her respect for his creations because the ocean had given her something much more willing to deal with her unoccupied hands.
Natasha remembered the day she met you very clearly. Her men had decided to dock on a seemingly uncharted island to rest and gather some resources. Her father had always warned her about landing in places that seemingly did not exist, but Natasha had a crew much more competent than the others.
Amid her exploration, she heard a song. You sang a song of hubris and overconfidence to a woman much too strong and far too determined. Unlike all the sailors you had eaten before, Natasha was not driven by lust. Curiosity and raw strength were all she needed to overpower you.
Natasha had you pinned down and subjected to some rather intense questioning. You had many of your own. The two of you talked for hours. Everything you knew about humans was only from eating them. Natasha only knew about sea life from the perspective of a human. The hours flew by until Natasha's crew came looking for her. It was at that moment that you made a split-second decision. You grabbed Natasha's hand and joined her crew without a second thought.
It was love at first sight for both of you, but Natasha had something else in it for her. When she slit the palm of your hand, you bled a shimmery blue substance. It was then that Natasha's lack of knowledge of your anatomy became apparent. She was curious and that curiosity would be the death of you. Natasha wanted to experiment. She wasn't a scientist like Tony or Bruce, but she figured conducting research couldn't be that hard. Especially since you were a mostly willing subject.
"Your teeth are so clean," Natasha noted as she examined your teeth. They were smooth and white as pearls. It was shocking, especially considering how sharp they were. She curiously poked her thumb against one of the fangs. "They're so sharp too," She whispered in awe. Her fingers grazed your bottom lip and pushed down until your tongue came out.
It was quite long and had a strange purple color. The tip of it was pointed and strangely flexible. Teasingly, you slipped the wet muscle between Natasha's fingers. Unfortunately, it didn't have the reaction you wanted. Natasha pulled her hand away and began writing in a little red notebook. "What, did you not like that?" You asked nervously.
"It was interesting." She mumbled absentmindedly. Natasha focused entirely on writing for an awkward amount of time. "Can you pull your tongue out again?" An appreciative smile spread across her lips. It was deceptively cute. Her thumb pressed down on the center of your tongue and rubbed it until you started to drool. She took note of the thickness and color. "Is this just saliva or can it do other things?"
"It can be an aphrodisiac in large amounts," You mumbled while wiping your chin. You were confused. Was Natasha teasing you or was this her weird way of learning more? It didn't feel right but it wasn't wrong. As long as she didn't start cutting you open, there wasn't much to worry about. That's what you hoped at least.
𓆞༄・゚𓆝࿐ ࿔*: 𓆟 𓆞༄・゚𓆝࿐ ࿔*: 𓆟
Natasha had yet to pull out the surgical tools, but her exploration of you had gotten a lot more sensual.
"Nat, you have to be gentle or— ah."
You would've never thought coming back from a swim would warrant another impromptu examination. Well, you should've seen it coming. Natasha had never seen you in deep sea form before. If she didn't pester you about what you ate, she'd probably try and get a scale off of you.
"Does it hurt?" Natasha's voice came out with a husky accent. Her finger massaged your gills as gently as possible. "It feels good in my hand." The fins on your ears weren't as soft and sensitive as the ones on your neck. Their purpose was obvious and Natasha had already documented it in her notebook. Now she was just toying with you. "What about that?" It doesn't, but she liked to tease a bit.
You could barely keep yourself upright. "No, it just-" your hands clamped down over your mouth to suppress any noises that may have slipped out. The rest of the crew had made some not-so-subtle complaints about all the moaning that leaked through the cracks of Natasha's quarters. "You're having too much fun with this," You whimpered. It was pathetic. Sirens were one of the most dangerous creatures in the ocean and here you were being a plaything for some pirate.
Even when your knees buckled Natasha continued to tease. She placed her boot between your legs and smirked. "This is all the help you're gonna get from me." The laugh that came out of her was nothing short of evil. "Come on, don't be shy. It'll make you feel good." The tip of her boot nudged against your clit.
Your hips stuttered but eventually, you settled your cunt against the cold leather. The fabric of your panties was a frustrating barrier between you and proper stimulation. Your hips rolled forward at an unsteady pace. "Can't you just touch me?" You whined. It was hard to keep your voice low.
Natasha pressed harder. "I am touching you, you're just being greedy." Her thumb caressed the underside of your gills. She watched as your body frantically jerked and squirmed. The wet squelch from your cunt made her ears perk up. "Did you cum?"
You wanted to cave in on yourself and disappear into the depths of the ocean. "Don't tease me like this. You know the answer to that." You grumbled. The sticky fabric clinging to your mound was unbearable. Humiliation made your skin burn and your scales turned a sickly green color.
Natasha gasped and titled your head to the side. “I didn’t know your scales could change color.” Her hands rubbed the scales. She was a lot more gentle this time to avoid overstimulating you. Suddenly aware of the fact she may have gone a bit too far, she knelt in front of you. Maybe you would find her less intimidating now that she wasn’t towering over you. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to embarrass you.” Her arms wrapped around your shoulders to give you some proper affection.
You clear your throat in an attempt to keep the tears of embarrassment from flowing. As odd as it was, you couldn't find it in yourself to be upset with Natasha. You should've expected such strange affection from a woman somehow able to withstand the temptation of your song. "It's okay…" You're not entirely sure what else to say. Your relationship with her was just starting to develop and it was already so overwhelming. "I knew you were a weirdo, I just didn't think you'd be a freak too."
Natasha giggled and placed a kiss on one of your gills. "Whelp, you're in it for the long wrong now."

could i request “mean” rafe and reader going swimming somewhere and maybe she’s in her swimsuit and someone says something that makes him jealous? also just want to say i love you writing sm!!! <3
Tumblr media
╰┈➤ mean!rafe makes y/n cover up
warnings: rafe being an ass, toxic relationship, alcohol consumption.
summary: mean!rafe makes innocent!reader cover up when his friend comments on her body.
rafe sipped his drink quietly as topper and a few others chattered around him, nothing else by the sound of smooth waves and the occasional splash made by his girlfriend could be heard.
they’d taken the druthers out for the day, rafe, y/n and a couple of his friends. they’d planned on just having a nice day. a couple beers, a dip in the sea, what more could they want?
rafe’s ears perked up when he overheard topper’s friend, who had tagged along, talking quietly. “man, the things i’d do to her..” he groaned quietly, throwing his head back exaggeratedly. “shut the fuck up man, you want rafe to hear that shit?” topper snapped, leaning into the other boys ear.
rafe’s jaw clenched as the words replayed in his mind, his gaze flickering to the girl in the water, paddling around in a pale pink bikini.
the next few minutes went by quickly as rafe’s ears rang in anger, gripping the can in his hand so tight it started to crumple.
fortunately, his attention was quickly snapped away by her calling. “rafe, could you grab me a towel please?” she sang, climbing the short ladder on the side of the boat.
sighing, he reached for the beach towel she’d laid out previously, in preparation for her swim, before moving to hand it to her.
“thank you baby” she grinned, smiling ear to ear as she shifted her weight to her tip-toes, pressing a soft kiss on the underside of his jaw.
the stoic, unimpressed look on his face remained as he followed her further inside the boat, where she planned to dry off.
unaware, she jumped slightly as she smacked into his chest, having turned back around to shut the door.
“put this on” he stated, handing her one of his t-shirts he’d picked up from his bag. her brows furrowed before him, staring up at him in confusing. “it’s too hot for a t-shirt rafey, plus, i really like this bikini, it’s one of my new ones!” she giggled, pushing the garment back towards him.
“seriously y/n, put it on” he growled through gritted teeth, once again handing it back to her, a little put rougher this time.
taken by surprised, she gently picked up the shirt from his grasp, still looking at him strangely. “i don’t understand, do you not like this one?” she muttered, a slight wobble residing in her bottom lip.
listening intently, rafe realised his tone of voice and quickly covered it up with a forced chuckle. “no no, of course i like it, it’s just that..” sighing, he placed an arm around her waist, guiding her to perch on his lap as he sat on the edge of the bed. “you wouldn’t want my friends to think you’re a whore, would you?”
her mouth fell open as he spoke, somewhat hurt by the thought of his friends feeling that way. “no, of course not! is that what they think?” she gasped, placing a hand over her chest as if there were intruding eyes watching.
bowing his head, he nodded slowly. “of course i don’t think that, i think you look beautiful baby, but i need you to cover up from now on, m’kay angel?” he smiled, kissing her forehead quickly before tapping the t-shirt in her hands as a reminder to put it on.
“um, y-yeah, okay..i’ll be out in a minute..” her smile faltered as she watched rafe leave the small bedroom, her eyes flirting between the now closed door and the shirt in her hands.

Nonnie from that Javier request here again 👁️
Javier has been rotting my brain for days now but an addition to this is Charles.
We know from that bar fight mission in Valentine that Javier and Charles have different tastes in women but what if they somehow land their eyes on the same lady? Who just happen to be someone the gang newly recruited.
Javier who makes the funniest jokes with flirtatious undertones and keeps the drinks and songs going(definitely the more fun of the two), but also Charles who's more touch than talk and ALWAYS has his hand on her lower back (I'm frothing at the mouth for this).
nonnie i love u, never stop sending these requests
i took this on a slightly different route than what i was expecting to write, but i hope you still like it :)
rating: mature
hard to ignore
It had been a few months since you had joined the gang. Time had flown by, with the heists, the jobs, the hunting. Everything. But you’d gotten to know the people quite well.
Arthur was quiet, but he was sweet. Hosea was one of the loveliest men you’d ever met, which also made him one of the most dangerous when it came to his scams. John and Abigail argued so much that it became white noise to you at night. Micah was an ass. That’s all you had to say about that man.
Javier was…an interesting personality. He was kind to you. He played guitar well. He always managed to catch your eye across the fire at night in camp. You always smiled, meeting his gaze.
“Morning, querida,” he’d always say in the mornings. “Looking beautiful as ever.” His accent always did something to you. The purr in his tone, the gravel in his voice, especially in the morning. He was a smooth talker, and he knew it. From your perspective, this was how he acted with all women. How you thought he approached every lady who came his way.
But when night fell, he turned into a different person. He was a confident man. In the way he walked, he talked. How he moved through the camp, interacting with everyone on his way to the campfire. How he presented himself, bringing life to the party. Camp always seemed more lively, more fun when he brought himself into the centre of it.
Drinks were flowing just as the sun dipped behind the hill. The guitar was pulled out and its strings were plucked in a melodious tune that got everyone dancing.
It was almost as though he was singing for you. To you. His eyes never left yours when he sang those songs. Those songs that made everyone sway in couples, in a harmonious dance. God, he was good at it. Good at making you feel seen. His entire focus was just on you.
“Enjoying your night, conejita?” He smiled as he made his way over to you, two bottles of liquor in hand, passing one over to you.
“Don’t call me that,” you rolled your eyes, the corners of your lips upturned. He called you bunny. A playful little endearment you’d noticed in your first week of being here. You only realised what it meant when you were strolling through the south end of Saint Denis; an older gentleman called his wife the same thing and you’d asked him what it meant. “Bunny,” he’d said. “My wife, she’s like a cute little bunny. So the name stuck.”
Javier smiled brightly at you. “But it suits you so perfectly, conejita.”
You rolled your eyes again, unable to hide your smile at this point. He was always so upfront with you, never left anything to the unknown. If he didn’t like you, it’d be blatantly obvious. But if he liked you, the entire camp knew. There’d be signs. Not even subtle ones. With you, he found an excuse to come and talk to you, even if you were doing menial tasks like laundry. He’d keep you company, sometimes help out with whatever you were doing. Javier liked to compliment you a lot. Like, a lot.
Compliment you in ways that made you hide your blush sometimes. “Have I ever told you how beautiful you look in this light, conejita?” “Don’t look at me with those eyes, they’re too pretty to look away from.” The man had a way with words, and you never knew how to respond.
Charles was quiet when you had first joined the camp. Kept to himself mostly, just like Arthur did. But there was something about him that drew you to his nonchalant personality. His large build, strong hands, deadset glare. He was handsome. So goddamn handsome. Never a part of the group, not really even during parties or meals.
He stayed by himself in the first few weeks of your introduction. He always kept a wary eye out in the camp, and you’d caught his eyes lingering on yours a few times, but often times you thought it was your imagination. He’d not spoken to you for a long while in camp until you were the one to approach him.
But now, months down the line, you knew it wasn’t your imagination. He looked right at you now, not staring in a strange way that made your skin crawl, but observing you. Fascinated by you.
Charles didn’t speak much. He didn’t have to. It was his touches and how he handled himself around you that told you everything you needed to know about the man.
No matter how many times you assured him you could dismount your horse, or scale a wall, he was there. To help you. Always offering a hand, or stabilising you on unsteady rocks. The two of you often paired yourselves together on jobs, since you worked well together as a team.
Around camp, he’d become a lot closer with you. His hand finding your lower back when he was behind you, so you knew he was there as he reached around to grab another bottle of liquor. His hand outstretched to help you up after you were sitting on the floor by the campfire for too long, your legs aching from the weight of your body resting on your ass.
But his favourite thing was when the wind blew a little too hard, and he had the excuse to brush your hair out from in front of your face. He stood taller than you, a lot taller. His build was wider than yours, more muscles in his arms and chest. The muscles in his back contorting and stretching when he mounted his horse. You looked. Of course, you looked. It was hard not to.
Javier and Charles had different ways of getting your attention. Javier was more talkative, complimenting to you, a lot more confident with his words. Charles, however, took his time with things. He liked to watch from afar, casting small smiles your way whenever you looked over. He communicated with his touch, his hands, his light hold. But Javier communicated with his words. You couldn’t tell which one you preferred more.
Both of these men knew that they equally vied for your attention. They saw it everyday. They didn’t mind. They didn’t see it as a game to compete for you. They liked how flustered you would get from each others advances.
So maybe…you wouldn’t have to choose between them. Since they seemed perfectly happy working together to get your attention. Maybe, just maybe, you could be selfish and have both.

Title: Better
Author: Tory / @tkwrites
Relationship: Quinn Hughes x Sarah (OFC)
Warnings: Swearing
Summary: Sequel to First Fight, Sarah meets Brady and Emma and is thrown into the world of hockey outside the rink. Jack and Luke hear about their relationship in a less than favorable way.
Word Count: 3,000
Comments: I had so much fun writing the last little bit of this. It just flowed out like water. I hope you enjoy it. Also, I have a pretty basic understanding of cephalopods, and I have no idea if people do research like this with octopus, so please take it with a grain of salt.
Let me know what you think and if there’s anything you’d like to see in their little universe!
Better
A Quinn & Sarah Snapshot
They set up the dinner. Brady and Emma would come to Quinn’s for drinks before they went down the street to De Beppe, Quinn’s favorite Italian place in the city, which happened to be within walking distance of his apartment.
Sarah was in one of the living room club chairs, looking so lovely. When he’d picked her up twenty minutes before, he’d lost his breath for a moment. She was in a dark green dress that sang against her skin, and pulled her eyes to a kind of teal blue. It accentuated her figure, and he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
He was setting things out at the bar, when she stood suddenly. Her low heels clicked on the hardwood floor as she walked to him. He didn’t try to hide his stare.
“Pour me a shot."
He laughed.
“I’m serious, Quinn. Pour me a shot.”
“I thought you don't like shots.”
She’d been adamant about that at the movie theater when they’d been discussing which drinks to get. She liked something mixed, preferably fruity.
“I don't,” she turned around and began to pace, “I’m just nervous and it’ll take the edge off.”
Quinn walked around the bar and wrapped his arms around her.
“You don’t need to be nervous,” he said, “Brady and Emma are great.”
“They’re your first friends I’m meeting for real, like not just in passing. You’ve already met my roommates.” Her roommates weren’t really on the same par as Quinn’s childhood best friend, but they were the closest she had in the city.
He hummed in agreement. “It’s going to be fine.”
After fighting and making up, many of Quinn’s fears had been put to bed. He still wanted their opinion, but he felt more comfortable in his own decision now. She had pointed out something he did wrong without name calling, or tearing him down, and had taken responsibility - though she hadn't done much wrong - for her part in the argument. It was something June had never done.
He ran his hand up and down her back trying to soothe her. The soft feel of her dress had him thinking about taking it off again.
“You look really beautiful tonight,” he said, “did I tell you that?”
“You did,” she said, smiling.
He smelled especially good. It was possible that he smelled exactly the same as usual and her nerves were just heightening her senses.
Before he could follow through with kissing her, his phone trilled in his pocket.
She started and then laughed at herself.
He let them up and Sarah tugged at her dress before smoothing it over her hips. Internally, his knees buckled.
The elevator dinged and Quinn opened the door.
A very tall man walked in with a big smile and a big voice, “Quinner!”
They hugged fiercely. She could tell they were best friends even if she hadn't known. It was sweet to watch their reunion.
A very pretty blonde stepped around them and walked to Sarah with a kind smile. “Hi, I'm Emma.”
“Sarah,” she said, not sure if they should hug, or shake hands. She wished there was something between the two.
“You must be Sarah,” Brady said, practically bounding over to her.
She wondered how such a loud, happy, golden retriever of a man could be best friends with Quinn, who was happy, but quiet about it.
“Can I hug you?” he asked, “we're huggers.”
Laughing, she nodded and hugged him before embracing Emma.
Leaving the girls to talk in the living room, Brady followed Quinn to the bar. “Dude,” he said quietly.
Quinn felt himself smile.
“Where did you even find her?” He knew the answer, of course. They'd talked for more than an hour the day before and Quinn had given him the lowdown on what had happened in their relationship thus far.
“I know,” Quinn said.
“Y’know,” Brady said, glancing over at her, “she looks a little like Jameson Grady.”
Jameson was the it girl Quinn had pined for in high school. Brady had seen all of those years and liked to bring them up frequently.
“Yeah, I guess she does, a bit,” he agreed. He hadn’t noticed before, but they both had dark hair, light eyes and full hips. Sarah, however, was much kinder than Jameson had ever been. He couldn’t imagine a world where Sarah would laugh in someone's face if they asked her out.
“Brady told me you work at the aquarium?” Emma asked as they looked over the harbor skyline.
“Yeah, I do research with one of the octopus there for my masters program.” Sarah said, “what do you do?”
“Charity work, mostly,” she said with a big smile. “It’s difficult to have a consistent job with Brady’s schedule.”
Sarah nodded, worry edging into her mind. Was she expected to give up her work for Quinn? Was that the good WAG thing to do?
The boys came over then, Quinn with a rum cranberry for her. She couldn’t remember telling him it was her favorite drink. Maybe she’d rambled it at the bar on their first date. She was touched, he remembered.
They talked for a while before their dinner reservation. The conversation soon devolved into Brady telling embarrassing stories about a fifteen year old Quinn living on his own for the first time while Quinn blushed and looked chagrined.
“And then, before we knew it, there was butter all over the kitchen,” Brady said, making a huge exploding gesture with his arms.
“In my defense,” Quinn said, holding up his hands, “I didn’t know I was supposed to unwrap it before.”
Sarah giggled, but wondered how she would have survived moving away from home at fifteen. She barely handled the three hour move to college when she was eighteen.
Walking to the restaurant in the cool spring mist, Quinn held Sarah’s hand and tried not to think about who might be watching them on the street. Being so obviously on a double date, he didn’t want to set the fangirls ablaze trying to figure out who Sarah was. June had such an online presence before they were together that fans had instantly glommed onto her. June had welcomed the new followers.
Sarah was far more private - he’d had to request to follow her on Instagram - and he didn’t want to throw her into something she didn’t want.
They were seated at a table in the back corner of the restaurant. A few people watched them sit down, but true to Brady’s prediction, no one stopped them on their walk in.
They ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers and settled in for a long evening meal.
“Is it just me, or are those people staring at us?” Sarah asked Emma over her wine glass.
Emma glanced over. “They are,” she said, matter of factly.
“Why?”
“They’re probably trying to figure out if Quinn is actually Quinn,” she said.
“It’s so weird,” Sarah said, “I never would have guessed he would be considered famous.”
Emma leveled a look at her that instantly made Sarah giggle, “He plays for a Canadian hockey team. It’s like religion up here.”
“Do you think they’ll come over?” she asked.
“Probably not. Most fans are pretty respectful. Every once in a while, someone will stop us on the street, but hardly ever in a restaurant. The hardest thing to get used to is the staring while people are trying to figure out if it's actually them.”
“So, Sarah,” Brady cut in once Emma was done speaking, “tell us about your research.”
“Oh,” she paused to take a sip of wine. “I’m studying cephalopod social dynamics, specifically in octopus. Even though Octopus don’t live in clusters, they’re the smartest of their genus, so they’re a little easier to study as they’re not so baseline limbic.”
Brady stared at her. He’d always known Quinn was attracted to someone’s mind as well as their looks, but this was wild. She got this bright twinkle in her eyes as she spoke, and even though he had no idea what she was saying, he wanted to know more.
“Can you say again in layman's terms?” he asked.
“Oh, sorry,” she said, flushing a pretty shade of pink, “I get into research mode sometimes, and talk like I’m presenting at a conference. Basically, I study how octopus relate to things in their environment, including other octopus, fish and even me. Walter and I have formed a kind of friendship and I study how he reacts when I change something like my hair, or wear different perfume, or come into the research lab sad.”
“He can tell all those things?”
“Yeah. Octopus are extremely smart and aware of their surroundings. There are a few really interesting documentaries about people who live with or visit octopus for years and the bonds they form. Other cephalopods aren’t so aware, so they’re not as exciting to study.”
The way Quinn looked at her while she talked spoke volumes to Brady. It was too soon for them to throw the word around, but love was on the horizon.
“How does he tell you’re sad?” Emma asked.
“Well, there are visual cues of course, but that’s one of the things I’m researching now. Octopus experience most of their world through their suction cups. They have nerves and taste buds in every one that are much more advanced than our own, so I’m forming a hypothesis asking if he can sense my mood via hormones on my skin. I’m also recording how he reacts generally. He tends to be more subdued when I am, and I’m not sure if he’s mirroring me, or trying to comfort me in some way.”
“How do you even study that?” Brady asked.
“Observation, mostly,” she said. “I’ve noticed that if I come into the lab happy, especially if I’m singing or if I say hello to him in an excited way, he races in his tank to greet me.”
“That is so cool,” Emma said, “I had no idea they were so intelligent.”
“I want to go through the aquarium with you so you can tell us about everything in there,” Brady said.
Sarah laughed, “ I don’t know about that. I know a lot of useless information about the ocean.”
Brady glanced at Emma and they shared a private little conversation with their eyes. He was beaming when he looked at Quinn.
“So, what do you do outside of hockey?”
“Can we go for gelato?” Emma asked when they left the restaurant. “I saw a place on the way here.”
They agreed and started down the street. Brady hung back to walk with Sarah. Quinn took the hint and caught up with Emma.
Sarah took a deep breath. She’d yet to have a one on one conversation with Brady. It was clear Quinn loved him a lot, and she wanted to make a good impression. Sated with good wine, an amazing meal and good conversation, she felt more comfortable than she had at the beginning of the night. She was instantly glad Brady waited until now to talk to her.
“So, what do you think?” she asked.
Brady appreciated that she didn’t beat around the bush.
“I mean, I can tell you're better for him than any of his past girlfriends,” Brady said as they walked.
“Really?” she asked. She hadn’t expected him to be so forthcoming right off the bat.
“Oh yeah. You're way more steady than June.”
“Who's June?”
Brady gulped. He probably shouldn't be the one revealing Quinn's dating history, but he liked Sarah, and he liked who Quinn was with Sarah.
“His most recent girlfriend. They were on and off for like a year and a half. He called it off for good at the beginning of the season. She was a pretty standard NHL girlfriend: model, blonde,” he said.
"Standard?" her eyes flew wide as Sarah tried to talk herself down from the self doubt pouring into her system by the gallon. She couldn't be farther from a blonde model.
Brady picked up on her distress right away, “oh I didn't mean…” he trailed off. “Shit, Sarah, I didn't mean anything by that. Just that she was kind of a blank slate. I hated her.”
“You did? Why?”
“I always felt like she was just dating Quinn for clout, to get her name out there, but he couldn’t ever see it. It turned into this whole thing. Emma and I both hated her. She was just so obsessed with herself and how she looked. And Quinn’s not like that, you know? He’d wear the same outfit every day if he could.”
She snorted. Every time she saw Quinn, he was in a variation of three outfits: jeans and a jacket, athletic wear, or a game day suit.
“It was just a bad match, but it took him a while to see that,” Brady said.
Sarah nodded.
“Anyway,” Brady gestured widely. “All I’m saying is that I can tell you’re better for him than June, or any of the girls he dated in high school or college. You get him. And you compliment each other. And you're just nice and easy to talk to. I can tell you make him really happy."
“That's so nice Brady, thank you. He makes me really happy."
The wide grin Brady gave her in response made her feel all warm and mushy inside. It felt like reaching the top of a summit to gain Quinn's friends' trust.
"Have you slept together?" Emma asked.
Quinn shot a look at her, wide eyed and scandalized.
She shoved his shoulder gently, "oh, come on. You know Brady wants to know. He won't ask you, so I said I would."
A laugh lit up his face.
"So have you?"
Cheeks flushing pink, Quinn nodded.
"Was it good?"
He'd wanted to tell someone about it, but sex wasn't really something he ever discussed with his friends.
"So good," he admitted, "like, almost spiritual."
Her eyes widened, "on the first try?"
"Technically the second," he corrected. "The first try was two strokes and done."
She giggled, "don't tell him I told you but Brady was that same way our first time too."
A few days later, Quinn was on the phone with Sarah when Jack called. He ignored it in favor of calling him back when they were done, but he called again right after. “Hey. I have to go,” he said, feeling panic edge into his consciousness, “Jack is calling me a bunch.”
“Okay, I miss you,” she said.
“I miss you, too.”
Quinn answered the facetime call, “what’s wrong? Did something happen?” The last time Jack had called like this, Luke had been hurt.
Jack was glaring into the phone, a perfectly healthy looking Luke sitting next to him on what looked like a hotel room couch. “Fuck yes, something happened.”
“What?”
“I found out from Brady fucking Tkachuk that you have a girlfriend?”
Fuck.
They got together to call him at the same time? He was in some deep shit.
“What the hell, Quinn?” Luke asked.
“When did Brady tell you?” It was the wrong question, but he needed to know.
“We play the Sens tomorrow, and he comes up to me in the practice facility today all, ‘what do you think of Sarah?’ and I was like, ‘who’s Sarah?’ and then he told me that she’s your fucking girlfriend!” Jack yelled.
Luke leaned away from the noise with a wince.
Quinn grimaced. “Technically, she’s not my girlfriend,” he said.
“Bullshit! You didn’t even tell us you were dating someone! I thought we were close, Quinn!”
A heavy sigh moved Quinn's chest, “I just… I wanted to make sure before I told anyone else.”
“Mom knows,” Luke cut in.
Fuck.
“I asked her and she said she knew you were dating someone, but didn’t know it was that serious.”
He’d called her for advice when he found out Sarah’s mom had died. Both his parents had experience with grief he didn’t. It just so happened his mom had picked up first.
“I…” What could he say?
They glared at him through the phone some more.
“I didn’t want to keep it from you,” he said.
“Well, you didn’t tell us!” Luke said.
“I just… since June I wanted Brady to meet her before I told anyone else.”
“Why?”
“Because he was the only one who told me he didn’t like June!”
An awkward blanket of silence settled over all three of them.
“I didn’t want to tell anyone I was seeing someone if it was going to turn into another June.” As he said it, Quinn knew it was an excuse that didn’t really hold up. Sarah was so different from June that he shouldn’t have been comparing them at all. Brady even said so when they talked after their double date. He’d just been scared.
“And is it?” Jack asked.
“No,” he admitted, “she’s really great and I think we could go all the way.” It was the first time he’d dared to say it out loud.
“How long have you been dating?” Luke asked, incredulous.
“Two months.”
“Two fucking months?” Jack repeated, raking a hand into his hair, “Quinn, why didn’t you tell us?”
“I’m sorry, okay? I fucked up. I won’t keep it from you anymore.”
“You better not,” Jack said, glaring in a slightly softer way. “I want to see a picture of her.”
Quinn pulled one up from their walk three days previous and sent it to Luke. The sun had been setting, and the golden light had been so lovely, she asked to stop and take a selfie.
Luke held up his phone and Jack’s eyes widened. The way Quinn was smiling in that picture told him everything he needed to know.
“She’s pretty,” Luke said.
“Yeah,” Quinn agreed.
Jack was blinking silently in a way that Quinn found unnerving.
Finally he managed to say something, “what does she do?”
“She’s getting her masters in marine zoology at UBC and she does research at the aquarium.”
Jack felt like he’d been struck over the head. Not because Quinn had kept something this important from him, or because Sarah was unlike anyone he would have picked for his brother. He felt dumbfounded by the fact that he knew, in a way he could feel in his bones, everything was about to change.

Dean's Dream
Title: Dean's Dream.
Words: 842
Relations: Dean Winchester X Reader
TW: A little spicy, no smut. (Kissing, sexual hinting)
Prompt:
Dean is captured by a Djinn and dreams of Y/N.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DEAN'S POV:
I woke up feeling like my head was spinning. Was I drinking last night? I don't remember drinking last night... I don't remember much, actually. I squinted in the daylight as I looked around. This is definitely a woman's bedroom, I must have been drinking.
I sat up, scratching at my hair a little, legs falling to the side of the bed. I noticed I was only wearing boxers, I smirked a little before looking for the clothes I must have discarded on the floor. I sucked my teeth as I thought, there are no clothes here. Where are my clothes?
"Morning," A woman's voice practically sang to me. I grinned as I turned around to look at her, I must have been great last night if she's singing the next morning.
"Morni-" My jaw dropped at the sight of her. My God! How God damn hot is she? Holy shit! I have really outdone myself. Jeez. She brought me home last night? I must have been really smooth last night for her to want me. Damn! She giggled, blushing slightly at my reaction to seeing her as she headed to her set of drawers. My eyes glued to her, damn. Hot from every angle.
"Are you just going to sit staring at me all day?" She asked with a smirk which told me she didn't care about the answer. I smirked rising from my position to approach her. She giggled turning her back to me slightly to continue looking for some clothes she could wear. I snaked my arms around her, my fingers rubbing on her silk dressing gown as I softly kissed her shoulder.
"Mmm, I'd like to do a lot more than stare," I teased, humming at the thought of it. God, I wish I could remember last night, to remember how last night was and what happened. She giggled and moved her head to the side, I took it as a hint to start kissing her neck. She hummed, seeming to bite her lip as I kissed her neck slowly.
"Deeeaann," She whined softly like she was fighting to stop herself, I grinned, lips still connected to her neck. "I don't think we have time," She expressed, my eyebrows furrowed with confusion slightly. She makes it seem like we have plans together soon. "Don't tell me you forgot," She prompted. I pulled away from her, thinking for a second. What did I forget? She turned around to look at me with a shocked expression. I looked at her confused and like she was a little crazy. I don't know this woman, not really. Is she actually crazy?
I've slept with some crazy women in my life when I - Well. When I - Hmm, I can't remember. Causing me to be even more confused. Why can't I remember? My eyes wandered around slightly as I thought, my eyes landed on a framed photo on top of her drawer. In the beautiful gold frame was a picture of me kissing her, dipping her down so she had one leg in the air, which I held at the knee. She was wearing a tight red dress that fanned out at the bottom a little, she looked heavenly, her hair loose and falling effortlessly. I was smiling as I kissed her. I zoned into the photo.
Nothing else mattered as I reached for the photo and held it in my hands, looking at it closely, studying it. A part of me wondered if it was edited but it looked real and felt familiar. She had moved to stand beside me, looking at the photo too. I glanced at her and she smiled brightly.
"That was a beautiful night," She reminisced, continuing to smile as she softly touched the frame. She seemed to think back to it, as she smiled brighter. "I still can't believe Sammy was there by chance to take this photo of us saying I love you to each other for the first time. You had to have planned it," She chuckled thinking back on the memory. Sammy, Sam. I need to see him, I can't remember anything, I feel like I am in the right place but it feels wrong. He'll be able to help me.
"I want to see Sam actually," I explained, stepping away from her slightly. I tried to act natural but some part of me felt that something was wrong. She smiled brightly, for a moment, more than a moment it all felt okay. I was home, I'm in the right place just confused.
"We're obviously going to see him, if you can pick your clothes quickly we might have time," She hinted with a soft grin. I was confused for a second before she placed a hand on my chest and moved closer to me. I instantly understood.
She smiled as she leaned up, kissing my lips softly as her hand moved to the back of my neck. I smirked into the kiss, deepening it, my hands finding her waist and pulling her close.
God, I wish I could remember right now.
Just want to know what people hope for in the next chapter. Please let me know 😁😍

The dawn peaked through the draped curtains and fell directly on the freshly cropped and well maintained features of one of the warlords of the sea. He brought his hands up to cover his eyes, nose and mouth within the clasps of his palms and smoothed over his brow in an attempt to rid him of his well-deserved, brandy-induced migraine.
He sighed outward as his coffin-shaped vessel rocked against the waves of the open sea, as his ship lay currently docked at Baratie’s peer. He has little memory of the events that transpired the night before. All cohesive thoughts stopped as he poured glass after glass of the heavily distilled brandy he ordered, while watching his ex-fiancé lyrically abuse their prior relationship at his expense.
“And she was beautiful,” the warlord thought as he draped his legs over his firm mattress to place them flush against the ground as he rested his elbows upon them, head hanging down in thought.
Looking at his torso, he found himself to be without his lengthy coat or neck blade. He frantically looked throughout the room to find his clothes folded in a neat pile against the back of his desk chair, his cross dangling from the top of the chair frame by the leather strap.
“When did I-,” he said with furrowed brows before his words found themselves halted in his throat, his mind bringing waves of recollection as to exactly how the evening transpired.
You sang to him, he drowned the lyrics out with one or two bottles of brandy; could no longer find his footing against the deck of Baratie and needed to stabilise himself against the railing, and having his weight comfortably distributed as you wove yourself within his arms to carry him to his vessel.
You gently pried his clothes from his body, placed his shoes neatly beneath the chair and ensured he was safe enough to drift to sleep in his stupor. He vaguely remembers holding you against himself, burying his face within your stomach and apologising for not treating you better when you were together.
“I should’ve never let you leave,” his head snapped up from its position gazing at the pile of clothes as his own words rang in his ears.
“We would’ve had a child. She would be nine by now. She would’ve had your hair and my eyes. She would’ve brought the world to their knees,” his posture became rigid as his own words began plaguing his mind, him wincing at the humiliation he brought upon himself with the words he had spoken.
“I would’ve given you an army of children and you would’ve looked so beautiful growing them in here,” he gasped out a shocked wave from within his mouth, cringing at the words he drunkenly confessed to you. He remembers kissing your stomach while under the influence of way too much brandy, and holding your body against his as he openly mourned the loss of your relationship all those years ago.
“I love you,” the recollection of his words had him wonder why you hadn’t pushed him away in agitation, slapped him for his emotional confession.
You instead asked him to lunch.
“I’ll be at Baratie until the morrow. If you still feel raw about it, I’ll be waiting. First table you see on the outer deck,” your melodical voice rang within his mind, pulling his vine riddled heart into a twisted and apprehensive knot at your invitation.
He willed his body to bring itself to his feet, finding himself to be sobering at the prospect of finally allowing himself some closure.
Pouring cold water over his head, allowing the water to cascade in drips down his hair; over his face and trail down his body, pooling at the hemline of his pants; he readied himself to meet your request.
“So beautiful,” his own words replayed in his mind as he remembers meeting your gaze with his own yellow eyes. Those words rang true; after ten years of absence, you matured into the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes upon. You were a great beauty in your youth, but you had matured like one of his prized vintages within his cellar.
And he threw it all away.
--
“So,” Chrissy spoke up while pulling a long sock over her right foot, “how did it go?”
You threw your head backwards to hang limply supported by your neck, gazing at the pale roof above you.
“He was drunk,” you groaned in frustration, “I put him to bed, that’s all.”
“Oh,” Jed released in a long and drawn out fashion, wiggling his eyebrows to taunt you, “so you slept with him, then?”
You snapped your gaze over towards the drummer, eyebrows furrowed in offence.
“In what, all of ten minutes it took between sets?” you spat at him.
He gestured his palms to face you, surrendering against your verbal attack.
“Hey,” he rose his eyebrows, “a lot can be done in two minutes, let alone ten.”
The guitarist threw her head back in a loud cackle at the joke made by her prior romantic partner. Although no longer together, the two of them remained solid in their friendship with one another; willing to put aside their differences to create beautiful music together.
“And don’t I know it, Jed,” she taunted him with a wide smile, teetering her laughter in a drawn out chuckle.
You joined in her laughter at that last comment, hoisting your dress over your tight undershorts and lacey bra.
Between the three of you, there was absolutely no secrets. You had all shared everything with one another; starting from toothpastes and stage makeup, branching out to clothes and perfumes, then sharing non-intimate embraces with each other as you attempted to snuggle into a single bed in a tavern that hired the three of you to play in, to sharing an onsen bath with one another completely stark naked.
“So,” again the guitarist prodded, “when will you be seeing him again?”
You grunted out in frustration at her prodding before relenting.
“I invited him to dine here with me,” you scrunched up your nose, “although I didn’t specify a time, and he was the most drunk I had ever seen him be. I’m not sure he will show.”
Jed and Chrissy shared a knowing look between them, their mouths twisted into playful smirks.
“Oh he’ll show up, Babes,” Jed said in a teasing tone, eyeing you as you began to tie your hair back.
Chrissy hummed in response, looking at your attire. You wore a loose sun dress that stopped at your knees. She watched as you began searching through your packed gear for some appropriate shoes when you felt Chrissy plop herself on top of the bed your duffel bag rest upon.
“So, what’s the plan then?” she smiled up at you, quirking her head to the side, “do you want to get some closure, or get some closure?” she wiggled her eyebrows.
“You’re gross,” you teased her, scrunching up your nose.
“If you wanted to do the latter instead of the former,” Jed addressed you, prompting you to turn from your search to look at him, “I’d wear this little baby.”
He was holding up one of Chrissy’s tight, black dresses that flared out slightly at the a-line, length of the garment stopping above the knees. The neckline hanging low enough to witness the curvature of your breasts without revealing yourself completely to the public.
Chrissy howled in laughter, gesturing to the dress.
“That’s the one that got me free drinks at- oh where was it again?” she furrowed her brows, searching her memories, “Shells-Town? The little blonde lad with the sword kept thinking he’d be able to pull if he got me drunk enough.”
You laughed at her comment, remembering that particular night with utter fondness.
“Yeah, go on Babes,” she gestured to the dress, “I want to see you in it. Take off that dress and chuck on the black one.”
You tilted your head to the side and furrowed your brows with a smirk.
“Unless of course,” she halted her tone, playfulness vanishing from her voice, “you’re going to just reminisce about what could’ve been and enjoy a Bloody Mary or two.”
You shook your head, pulling your eyeline to the ground before looking to Jed.
“Alright,” you scrunched up your nose with a smile, “hand it over.”
“Yes!” Jed said with an exaggerated arm movement in celebration, “go get that spooky bastard.”
Chrissy howled a cackle-like laugh and kicked her feet slightly at the comment made by her former love, celebrating as you took the garment from his hands and began redressing yourself.
“You have to let me do your makeup,” she uttered once she caught her breath. You smiled at her as you rid yourself of your former sun dress and threw it at her with a giggle.
Jed threw himself down on the bed Chrissy was laying on and kissed her cheek affectionately, her form jumping slightly at the weight distribution on the Baratie mattress.
“Winged eyeliner,” Jed said, thrusting his hand in the air, “and some false lashes at the outer corners of your eyes.”
Chrissy  slapped her hand against his chest while laughing again. You watched as her eyes turned half-lidded as she gazed up into the drummer with utter fondness. You quirked your brow and pursed your lips at their interaction, shooting Jed with a knowing look once you met his eyes.
“Fine,” you said once adjusting the black garment over your lace bra, “let’s have at it.”
After allowing Chrissy to work tirelessly on your features to accent them to her liking rather than your own, you began your descent to the deck of the Baratie bar; the first table on the outer deck, near the entrance mouth to the bar.
Jed and Chrissy decided to break from your company to allow you a semblance of privacy as you awaited your former beau while seated at the outer table. They chose to privately dine together before seeking out Chef Zeff to most likely share a drink with him in celebration of a successful night.
“Can I start you off with anything, love?” a voice called to your left. You craned your head within the morning sun to see a young blonde man gazing at you with a cocky smirk.
You narrowed your eyes and a small smile played over your lips. You had been waiting for you ex-fiancé for twenty minutes now, no sign of him in sight.
“You know what, sweetheart,” you shrugged at him, “I’m keen on a mimosa if you’ve got one.”
He smiled broadly at you before listing them off.
“We’ve got a couple of beautiful sparkling white wines to choose from. The Pinot Meunier paired with guava juice in particular is a favourite of mine,” he added with a wink.
You giggled in response, leaning against the table to bring yourself in towards him.
“I guess I’ll have to sample that, then,” you shrugged, returning his wink. He smiled broadly at your flirtatious response, collecting the drinks menu from the table and retreating to the bar once he did so.
You smiled at his retreat, collecting the brunch menu from the counter and opening it to look at its contents.
You brought your view down to the ocean as it lay peacefully before you. You closed your eyes as you listened to the clap of the waves meeting the dock of Baratie with their swaying movements.
Your face became shrouded by a cloud of shadow, prompting you to open your eyes to seek its source. Upon opening your eyes, you met with the dark form of a semi-refreshed, leather coat clad man with a large sword strapped to his back as he brought himself before you.
“Mihawk,” you breathily addressed him with a sigh, a smile bringing itself to your lips as you addressed him, “take a seat. I’ve ordered myself a drink, I hope you don’t mind.”
His expression remained stoic, his lips unmoving as they were the night before under your line of questioning. He sighed and rolled his shoulders back to rid itself of any tension. Unclasping Yoru from his back and laying it beside the deck chair next to you, be gracefully brought himself down to rest upon the chair next to you.
You brought your eyes to skim the ever-changing brunch menu of Baratie, focussing on the words within the pages.
“How would you feel about sharing a breakfast platter? I’m not sure I would be able to eat all of this myself-,” you began, only to be cut off by your ex-fiancé mid-sentence.
“Thank you,” he uttered, his words barely raised above a whisper.
Furrowing your brows, you turned to bring your eyes away from the menu to gaze into his own.
“For what, Dear?” you asked him, placing the menu down onto the table next to you.
“Oh you know exactly what for,” he narrowed his eyes in taunt.
You narrowed your own eyes and rolled your shoulders backwards before reclining in your lounge chair.
“I’m going to need specifics, Love,” you smirked at him through your eyelashes, taunting him with your words, “for singing my vengeance at you or for tucking you snuggly in your bed last night.”
He pulled his gaze away from your own and stared into the open ocean as the waves built against the dock of Baratie. You again opened your mouth to address him, halting only at the re-emergence of the waiter from before.
“Your mimosa,” he presented to you with a smile, prompting you to reach your hand up to receive the flute-stem in your hand.
“Thank you, Dear,” you addressed him, your eyes softening as you did so.
“Sanji,” he smiled at you, arching his brow, “that’s my name.”
“Sanji then,” you hummed with a mischievous grin.
“Is there any breakfast I can interest you in before I go-?” his words were cut off by the warlord at your side.
“We’ll take the breakfast platter,” Mihawk spoke up from your side, “and I’ll take a Bloody Mary with extra heat if you wouldn’t mind.”
You hissed a laugh through your nose at his drink request, nodding to Sanji in confirmation of your order.
“Right away,” he nodded to you playfully, retreating to the kitchen to place your order.
You sat in a very stagnant and uncomfortable silence as your emotions built up within your chest; praying they were not shown to your former love. You brought your eyes down to your very exposed thighs under the shadow of the short hemline of Chrissy’s dress.
After thinking on your poor outfit choice and fussing at the seams, the warlord of the Dracule family line spoke up.
“I was thanking you for ensuring my safety last night,” Mihawk spoke up again. You brought your eyes over to his as they continued to hold their yellow gaze upon the ocean.
“Of course, Love,” you said, furrowing your brows. You leant forward, your elbow resting against the table as you spoke once more, “although it ended poorly between us, I would always want to ensure your safety – especially since leaving that redhead last night in the state she was in.”
You laughed at your own joke, prompting Mihawk to smirk at your comment.
You clasped the crystal flute glass-stem within your thumb and four-fingers, raising the liquid to your lips and taking a small sip. The flavour erupted on your tongue; the tartness from the wine being complimented so beautifully by the bittersweet juice from the guava it was almost poetic.
“You have to try this,” you said, eyes wide and presenting the flute to Mihawk. He finally tore his gaze away from the waves and trailed his yellow, hawk-like gaze from the shoes Jed chose for you over your bare calves and thighs over to your hips as you lay reclined in the Baratie lounge chair; finally bringing his gaze to the glass presented before him.
He clasped his hand over the flute stem, brushing your fingers with his own once he took it from you. Raising the glass to his lips, you trailed your eyes over his form. He had developed so much more over the ten years that were stolen from you. You could see his frown lines beneath his broad, feathered hat; his muscles had refined more so with extensive training as he maintained his status World’s Greatest Swordsman.
What drew most of your attention was the beard that so perfectly framed his face, his moustache arching upwards on his lips to perfectly frame them. He released the flute from his lips and let out a very subtle moan at the flavour he consumed.
You found your mouth falling slightly agape at the familiar sound falling from his lips. It had been so long since the two of you had coupled together, but his vocal presence still had a hold over you as your thighs clenched together at the small amount of sound fell from between his lips.
“Your breakfast,” the blonde waiter returned with a platter steaming with delicacies that had your mouth watering at consuming their prospects.
“Thank you, Sanji,” you breathily whispered, unaware of the way your vocal gasp had a hold on both the warlord and the waiter before you.
“Y-You’re welcome, Ma’am,” Sanji uttered before briskly returning to the kitchen and away from the two of you; feeling intimidated by the both of you for reasons so completely different than one another.
You gazed at the array of food presented before you, only to have your wine-flute waved at your eyeline by your ex-fiancé. You smiled at him as you took the glass from his fingers, accidently brushing your fingertips against his own as returning his former actions from moments ago.
Unsure as to how to proceed, you swiftly downed the remainder of the mimosa, hoping that the distilled and fermented fruit would give courage to your following actions.
Collecting a small presentation of items from the shared platter, you presented your assortment to the intimidating, dark form of your former partner. He had a moment of temporary puzzlement before he accepted your offering, leaning forward and opening his mouth for you to present the food between his lips.
You both silently shared a meal together, both unsure of how to proceed with any amount of conversation that remained civil enough to achieve any goal you both had in your minds. The plate had been completely consumed between the two of you, not a scrap of substance between you and no utterance of conversation falling between you as the waiter, Sanji, returned to collect the empty plate.
“Can I get you anything else?” he asked while taking  the plate from the table in front of you and collecting your wine glass.
“No-,” you began, your voice eclipsed by the swordsman.
“-A bottle of brandy and two glasses, please,” he uttered.
Sanji looked at first to you to confirm that be your wishes; only relenting his intense gaze when you nodded at the request.
“We have several bottles and vintages to choose from-,” Sanji began.
“Bring the one you think is best,” Mihawk spoke over him, “expense is no issue.”
You cringed slightly at his impoliteness and apologising to the waiter with your expression.
“Certainly, sir,” he said, turning to you as you wordlessly uttered a swift ‘sorry’ with your lips. He smirked at you and winked as he retreated.
You trailed your eyes on the retreating form of the waiter before you met the interrogative eyes of Dracule Mihawk. You watched as he processed several thoughts behind his eyes, choosing to not express them at all vocally.
You sighed and rolled your eyes at him, reclining your back against the deck chair once more.
“You’ve got some things you’d like to say, do you Mihawk?” you quirked your brow and smirked upwards at the lefthand corner of your mouth, “let me have it. I’m a big girl, I can take it.”
More silence ensued between you as Sanji wordlessly uncorked the brandy bottle, poured two glasses to a perfect 90ml pour and left the bottle at the table.
“Alright,” you said, rolling your shoulders backwards to release any built up tension and fleeing it from your form, “let me help you.”
His eyes trailed you as you retrieved your ballooned, crystal glass from the tray and presented the other towards him. He leant forward and accepted the glass from your fingers and brought it towards himself with a small nod of thanks.
You took a deep breath in before relaying all of your thoughts on his behalf.
“You are an absolute bitch for relaying all of our prior history in front of a large crowd at Baratie,” you mocked him by deepening your voice, raising the balloon glass to your lips, “such a cow for embarrassing a warlord of the sea so publicly.”
You giggled as you took a large gulp of the fire-liquid within the glass. He trailed his eyes over your features, taking in your made-up appearance and gasping as he watched your smiling features.
“How dare you strip me of my clothes in our prior shared cabin on my mighty vessel,” you again spoke in a deepened, mocking tone. You giggled at your own ability of taunting him with his own vocal tone.
“That is not remotely what I sound like,” he spoke up while taking his own crystal glass from the table, “nor is it my current train of thought.”
“Oh?” you asked him, downing the remainder of brandy as you watched him grimace as he sipped from his own, “care to enlighten me?”
He hissed a little at the intensity of the alcohol after a night of prior over-consumption. Sighing and placing his broadbrim hat adorned head against the backboard of the lounge chair, he took a moment to collect his thoughts.
“All my thoughts are plagued with,” he began, closing his yellow eyes before turning his head and looking at your body again, “is where you acquired that dress, and who else has seen you wear it.”
The intensity of the blush that found its way to cloud your cheeks beneath your foundation was almost unbearable. You mentally thanked Chrissy for her ability to apply foundation so flawlessly to only place pigment to their desired locations as you remained in your flustered state.
“If you’re asking me of how many people I have coupled with after leaving you,” you leant forward with a smirk, “I’m unsure if you’d either be deeply saddened or thoroughly impressed.”
He allowed a chuckle at your ambiguity, raising again the brandy glass to his lips and taking a sip; hissing at the impact.
“I am sure you would say something similar of the like,” you quirked your eyebrow upwards as you poured yourself another glass of amber liquid.
“I have lain with many a person in the wake of your absence, yes,” he confirmed with a smirk and narrowing his eyes in taunt; surprised by how warmly you smiled at him in response.
You picked up the brandy bottle and presented it toward him in a gesture to fill his glass, to which he presented his empty brandy glass up to you in response.
“That actually makes me happy, Mihawk,” you said with a nod, sincere smile never leaving your face, “you deserve someone to make you happy.”
His thoughts halted within his mind momentarily. This is not the impact he desired to have on you. He wanted unbridled passion, he wanted your hate, your loathing, anything other than support.
“I-,” Mihawk began, only to have his sentence cut off by your own.
“We were young and stupid,” you said, scrunching your nose up, “so utterly naive to believe our purity would last in this world, especially in the Great Pirate Era.”
He found himself breathless at your melodical giggle, training his eyes over your utterly positive features; dumbstruck by your light within his darkness.
You rose the glass again to your lips and took a small sip, enjoying the burn as it made its way down your throat so early in the morning.
All thoughts of seduction all but fled from your mind as you reminisced with your former partner, especially at his disinterested attitude and short sentences. Feeling almost stupid at how meticulously you chose your outfit and your bandmates applied your makeup for the evening, you decide to make the most of the encounter you were experiencing with this great pirate warlord.
“I like your beard,” you deadpanned, cringing slightly at your honesty.
“I like your thighs,” he responded equally as honestly.
Brandy. It was always brandy.
You and he both found yourselves scrunching up your faces and laughing at your confessions to one another.
“Why is it always brandy that brings out the worst in us?” you questioned your ex-fiancé.
“Best in us,” he corrected with a slight tilt of his glass at your direction.
You nodded at his suggestion, raising your glass to your lips and gulping back the liquid, prompting Mihawk to do the same.
“Why did I let you leave?” he asked beneath his breath, almost hoping you didn’t quite catch his words. Unfortunately for the both of you, your musically trained ears can pick up just about any audible uttering or direction; thus picking up his question.
“Ego maybe?” you shrugged, “again, we were young, Mihawk. Don’t beat yourself up about it.”
“I often do,” he confessed, looking down into his glass.
A stagnant silence befell the both of you once more as you continued to gaze into the brandy glasses and the open ocean in front of you.
“Did you-,” you halted your words, stifling them within your throat.
“Did I what, Love?” he asked you, placing his half-drunk brandy glass on the table between you and leaning in closer to you.
Taking a deep breath, you downed the remainder of your glass and placed the empty vessel atop the table and leant in yourself.
“Did you mean what you said last night?” you asked him.
That sentence opened up the floodgates of Mihawk’s heart as he poured his heart out to you.
“I was drunk, but I meant everything I said. Alcohol has a way of loosening inhibitions, and I found the ones closest to my bleeding heart leaking at you last night,” he reiterated to you, “you may need to remind me on the exact wording, but I ensure you I meant everything I said to you last night.”
You hissed in a breath between your teeth as he continued speaking.
“I should’ve given you everything you ever wanted,” he confessed, bringing his gaze to the ground, “no other man or woman has had a hold on me the way you did. To me, no one else has ever come close to the intimacy we shared with one another.”
Your eyes widened as he continued to relay his innermost thoughts to you and increased the confession with speed, making most of the sentences almost inaudible in nature.
“It has taken many different companions to fill the void you left in your absence, the wound festering over time with the lack of care at its source,” he nodded, looking down at the glasses that lay before you both atop the table, “I never found myself attempting to bring myself closer to someone, other than the one or two nights I’d share entangled within my bedsheets with someone I claimed from a random bar or purchased from a run of the mill brothel.”
Gasping at his confession, you found yourself entranced by his words and allowing your lips to hang slightly agape as he continued his confession.
“It has always been only you,” he whispered, gazing at the wooden deck below your feet.
His next words absolutely broke you, allowing yourself to express a single tear from your right eye.
“I never stopped loving you.”

Hello, could you write a Lance one where it's Margot's first birthday and reader and Lance have a small family party
"Happy Birthday, dear Margot, Happy Birthday to you", everyone sang to the little one year old.
Margot sat in her father's lap, her face slightly hidden away in his chest even though she had her characteristic beautiful smile on her face, looking at everyone standing around the table, looking at her, "Happy Birthday, sweet girl", Lance whispered and kissed her cheek.
Addalynn was happily helping you distribute the cake slices, "grandpa doesn't have one yet, and neither do I", your oldest said, "Oh, and you and daddy, too", she noticed.
"Good catch, sweetheart", you smiled, cutting back the pieces and asking for help to make sure the plates reached who they needed to reach. The parry was small and gathered both of your families to celebrate your little girl's first birthday.
Sitting next to your mother, you ate some of the cake and looked at the table. Both families got along really well and you were very grateful that you had the opportunity to give this close family time and environment to your kids.
"Do you want some cake, Margot?", you cooed, smoothing down her dress as she beamed at the fork with the sweet food.
Lance smiled and helped Margot straighten her back against his front, grabbing her bib so she wouldn't make a big mess.
You were feeding her the cake when Chloe asked where you kept the kitchen towells, "can you go show her, please? She won't find it otherwise", Lance encouraged, knowing where you kept them and how explaining it would confuse her more.
"It's like a secret door", you sister in-law chuckled, taking the cloth she was looking for, "yes, at first we didn't know what to put there because it's in such a weird and fiddly place, but this seems to work", you added as you walked back to the living area, hearing laughs from everyone.
Right by the spot where you had sat in, Margot had gotten her hands on one of the colourful cupcakes, tiny fingers scooping some of the lavender coloured whipped cream and painting her father's face with it, Addalynn giggling loudly too, "you're looking funny, daddy!".
As you walked closer to them, you smiled as her little chubby hands flew to cover her sister's cheeks and then your own, your reflexes allowing you to lick her finger just before she smeared it on your face, giggling at the feeling of your tongue in her fingers.
"Is that yummy, sweet cheeks?", you asked, grabbing a napkin to clean her hands up, Lance doing the same to himself and Addalynn after your mother snapped a picture.
"Can you believe we have a one year old and a five year old?", Lance said once the girls went to play in the living room with the rest of the guests, helping you starting to clean up the table.
"It seems like it was yesterday when we left Dr. Marlin's office with embryos on your tummy and so much hope for a little one, and then there came Addalynn, and now Margot", he smiled, kissing your forehead, "it's been a journey, but I wouldn't so it with anyone else", he smiled.
"Me neither", you hugged his waist, looking at the way everyone chatted together and played, "Oh no, Scotty and your dad are getting a manicure from Addalynn", you giggled, "your father is getting his hair done by Margot, I'm not sure which one is worse", Lance playfully bit back, "Oh, definitely my dad, look at how Margot is pulling on his hair - c'mon, darling, it's painful just to watch", you cringed.
(Thank you for submitting an ask ✨️)

Okay so normally I’d do this off anon, but honestly I’m really hurt by it and just wanna submit something for your writing pleasure if you’d like to write something like it. So recently I was meant to meet up with someone that I thought was so different than other dudes I talked to and he just completely ghosted me. He used to wake me up with good morning beautiful messages and now I’m left with absolutely nothing. I was hoping you could make on where that happens but it’s like a mess up with the towers or something and then Eddie or Steve shows up with flowers and everything like days later when they realize the readers not gotten any of their messages. They explain it and show them how they didn’t go through and reader just throws themselves into their arms crying and saying that they didn’t think they were good enough for them but the boys just prove to them how amazing and wonderful they are.

"You're doing it again," you looked up from your phone and found Alicia watching you with a knowing little smile. Your entire face flushed with warmth as you locked your phone and tucked it away, "mhmm, just like I thought."
"Shut up," you groaned, throwing her the middle finger as you walked to the kitchen. She might have been your best friend and your roommate, but damn. She read you too well sometimes, "mind your business."
"How am I supposed to mind my business when you're pining over some boy?" She sang the last word and you business yourself with making some tea, "a certain boy that calls you princess and beautiful and angel. Now that's like romance novel level shit."
"I…no, ugh. Stop," you pleaded with her, trying to hide the fact that you were grinning widely and flushed like crazy, "he doesn't do that."
"I've seen the texts," she tutted and you hid your face behind your hands, "its alright, babe! I think it's really sweet actually. He's totally into you."
"Maybe," you sighed softly, "but I do like him a lot. He's really sweet."
"Are you going to see him again?" Yeah, you sure hoped you would. The first date with Eddie had been nothing short of magical. You didn't believe in love at first sight or anything of the sort…but Eddie definitely had you questioning that. And that was scary in and of itself, "I feel like you need to. I'm personally invested."
"I will," you promised, tummy swirling with butterflies. The mere thought of seeing his pretty face again made your heart flutter, "I want to see him again. Alicia, ugh, I really like him already."
"So romantic," she agreed as you put a little honey in your tea. You stirred it thoughtfully before taking a long, slow sip. You hoped the tea and its magical powers would cause your head to remain straight and your thinking in order. Before you could say anything else your phone lit up with an incoming FaceTime call, "speak of the devil."
Your heart started to pitter patter excitedly as you contemplated whether or not to answer it. Obviously you wanted but you didn't want to seem too desperate. You looked at Alicia and she just pushed the phone towards you.
With a groan you grabbed your tea and phone and rushed to your room, accidentally slamming the door behind you.
"Sorry!" You called out before taking a moment to catch your breath before answering the call. Your heart almost stopped when you saw his pretty face beaming at you through the screen, "hi."
"Hey pretty girl," oh no. His voice was soft and smooth like honey and velvet. He was definitely going to be the death of you, "how're you?"
"Hi handsome," you set the tea down and flopped onto your bed, trying to act calm and casual, "I'm alright! Just got home a little bit ago. Work was…rough. Just one of those days I guess. How are you?"
"Ahh, you know, same old, same old. Got some pretty rad ideas for DnD for the next time the kids are in town," he waved his hand around, causing you to giggle. He was always so expressive, and it was a quality you enjoyed about him, "but my day is much better now that I've gotten to see your pretty face."
"Stop," you buried your face into your pillows, groaning loudly as Eddie laughed. He loved getting you all flustered and shy, "you're being gross and mushy!"
"I'm only being honest," when you allowed yourself to look back at your phone you found him smiling softly, "I've got a question for you, if I may."
"Of course…"
"Will you," he paused for dramatic effect, leaning in closer, "go on another date with me? Maybe this Saturday if it's not too crazy of an ask?"
"Yes!" Your answer was given without hesitation, so excited that it caught both of you off guard. Eddie's cheeks pinked as you gnawed on your bottom lip, "I mean.. yeah, that'd be cool. Totally works for me. I'm so cool and calm about all of this."
"Such a little dork," he leaned back, stretching and taking a moment to collect himself. He didn't want to seem too desperate, and the fact that you were so eager made him feel so good. He'd never had someone make him feel this way before; but he'd known from the start that you were special, "I like it - you."
"Me too," you promised softly, "what did you have in mind?"
"Let me surprise you," he suggested and your curiosity parked up, "I'll pick you up and we can go on an adventure. Whaddaya say?"
"Sounds like you've got yourself a date," the two of you exchanged shy smiles, the anticipation buzzing between the two of you, "now, tell me about these DnD ideas!"
Eddie was so easy to listen to and got so excited that it made you excited. You didn't really understand much of what he was saying, but you still enjoyed listening to him talk about his passions.
This was going to be a problem. You really liked Eddie Munson. It was almost scary how fast and easily it all happened.
Just like that.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You had a couple of days before you were going out with Eddie again and you'd been buzzing with energy the whole time. You were so excited to see him again. You'd only known him for a little over a month but it felt like you'd known him forever. Everything came so easily with him, so naturally. It was like your heart had been waiting for something all this time and you'd finally found that in Eddie.
And it all felt so great.
Until it didn't.
It was Wednesday morning, and when you checked your phone after you got up, you didn't have anything from Eddie. Which was odd considering you'd woken up to good morning texts from him for the last month. You tried to push down your disappointment and figured that maybe he was just really busy. He wouldn't ignore you purposefully.
You went about your morning routine and headed out to work, still without having heard from Eddie. By the time you went to grab lunch, you decided to text him. You'd been getting nervous and wanted to make sure he was alright. It was so strange not to hear from him at all, especially when you'd grown so used to talking to him throughout the day.
Unfortunately your text went unanswered. By the time you got home, you were both worried and mildly annoyed. He could have spared you at least a quick text or something.
"What's got you so upset?" Alicia clocked your mood as soon as she walked in the door. You were leaning against the kitchen counter, clutching a glass of wine as you stared off in thought. You thought you were hiding your dour attitude a little better than that. Apparently you were very wrong.
"Nothing," you drained the rest of your glass and shrugged your shoulders. Alicia grabbed the glass and set it onto the counter, raising an eyebrow at you, "fine. Eddie hasn't texted me all day."
"What?" Her mouth formed a small o in surprise as you nodded, feeling pathetic, "how…why. That doesn't make sense! He's practically in love with you."
"Okay, that's dramatic but yeah," you let out a long, heavy sigh, "its just weird. He's not normally radio silent. He says something at least but I haven't heard a thing today. I hope nothing is wrong and he's okay."
“Let’s not go to that extreme either,” she gently nudged your side, “I’m sure everything’s fine. Maybe he forgot to hit send on his text or he’s just really busy. You’ll have a good night or good morning text tomorrow for sure.”
“I hope so,” you grabbed the bottle of wine and poured the last of it into your glass. Drinking wasn’t the answer, but it did cut through some of your nerves, “I don’t think he’s the type to just suddenly ghost me, but I guess nothing these days is that surprising.”
“He wouldn’t,” she promised softly, “and if he did, we’ll track him down and make him suffer. I got you, babe.”
“Thanks,” you couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled up and escaped your lips. You were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. You just hoped he wouldn’t disappoint you.
You contemplated sending him a good night text night, going back and forth on it for way too long before deciding fuck it. You highly doubted that you would come off as clingy and even if you did, you didn’t care. After over a month and a half of constantly talking, this was such a strange change of pace.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
The next morning your texts remained unanswered and there was nothing new. The only notifications you had were the usual ones from your friends. You weren’t sure if you should be annoyed or worried. Your second date was supposed to be the following day but at this point you weren’t so sure that was going to happen.
In a spur of the moment decision, you decided to try and call him. But as soon as you hit the green button to call him, the call went straight to voicemail. Alright…so more than likely his phone was dead. That wasn’t so strange, right? Eddie was a self-confessed scatterbrain so he’d probably neglected to charge his point the night before. You hadn’t left a voicemail, instead shooting him a text to find later asking if he was okay.
All you could now was wait…and hope that you heard something from him. You had been so sure and convinced that Eddie was one of the good ones and hated the idea that you had been wrong all this time.
But as the time wore on, your phone remained drier than the sahara. You hated that every time you received any sort of notification you scrambled to grab your phone, hanging onto the last bits of hope that you were going to hear from Eddie. Your abysmal hopes were crushed by the end of the night as you crawled into bed and went to sleep. You didn’t bother to try and reach out to him again.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Saturday rolled around and you felt absolutely crushed. You were supposed to have your second date with Eddie that evening but didn’t even hold out any hope for it considering that he’d been mia for over two days now. The outfit you’d picked for your date tonight was hanging against your closet door, taunting you. You’d thrown it together as soon as you’d ended your last facetime call with Eddie.
With a heavy heart you pulled off the back of the door and set the hanger back among your other clothes. You’d decided to busy yourself with doing some of the chores around the apartment that you’d been putting off including going through and organizing your makeup and closet. Anything to keep your mind off the fact that you’d been ghosted, stood up, whatever you wanted to call it.
Alicia worked this weekend, so at least you had the place to yourself to wallow around and be sad in peace. Despite the fact that you’d basically been dodging her as much as possible, she knew what was up; she was your best friend after all. She’d already started planning a girls’ date night for a few days from now when she was off to surprise you and hopefully cheer you up. She was such a kind spirit and you loved her a lot.
You decided to text Eddie one more time, probably a desperate attempt. You wanted to see if he was at least willing to give you some sort of explanation for his sudden disappearance. You felt like you were owed that much at the very least, right? After all those sweet words and plans you were left with nothing. A small part of you was still worried that something had happened to him, but it was unlikely that something that bad had happened.
You spent the day working yourself to the bone before taking a hot shower and calling it a night early. At least if you were sleeping your thoughts wouldn’t keep wandering everywhere.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Sunday came and you were up bright and early. Your body really didn’t want you to get any extra rest despite it being the weekend. You stared at the ceiling for a while before getting up to start getting around to doing things. You felt so pathetic being so hung up over a boy but you know, the heart wants what it wants or whatever that expression was.
You’d taken the time to make some breakfast and coffee and sat at the kitchen counter, scrolling through your social media feeds as you ate. It was a random knocking on the door that caused you to startle. You set down your coffee as you slid off the stool with a grumble as you walked to the door. You didn’t even bother to see who was at the door before cracking it open.
“Yes?” you asked, brushing some of your wild bed head out of the face.
“Hiya,” you knew that voice. You knew that voice. You looked up and there was Eddie Munson standing in front of you, pink cheeks and a boutique of your favorite flowers in one hand. He held up his hand in a weak little wave as you opened and closed your mouth like a fish out of water.
“Hi?” you asked as he scratched at the back of his neck awkwardly, “Eddie, what are you doing here?”
“Umm, well, I hadn’t heard from you in a few days so I figured I’d come say hi,” he sounded so nervous as confusion marred your face, “that sounds so pathetic and I feel like some weird stalker. It was just that we’d agreed on a second date and then I hadn’t heard from you and it just felt off. I thought we’d been getting along so well and I, umm, I…I really like you. I also just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“What are you talking about?” you weren’t totally tracking what he was saying but he seemed so genuine and sincere, “Eddie, I haven’t gotten any texts or anything in days from you.”
“What are you talking about?” he was shaking his head, a few curls falling out of his messy bun, “i’ve been texting you and everything.”
He looked so crestfallen at your words that it did make your heart stumble for a few beats. But then you remembered the upset you had gone through the last couple of days and you shook your head. The tension flowing between the two of you was palpable, “that’s such a bullshit story, Eddie. Did you come here because you got bored or something?”
“I mean it,” in his haste to show that he wasn’t lying, he almost shoved the flowers into your hands as he reached into his back pocket to pull out his phone. He fumbled around for a moment, hands shaking with nerves as he tried to pull up the messages that he’d been sending to you…allegedly. Eventually he pulled up your message string and turned his phone around to show you everything.
You made a small sound of surprise when you saw a slew of texts that he had sent to over the last few days. For whatever reason your texts hadn't gone through to him….just as his hadn’t sent to you. You Sighed heavily, letting out a breath of exasperation as you shook your head. You blinked back a few tears as he let out a nervous laugh, “Eddie…”
“I don’t know what happened,” he said softly, “but umm, I didn’t want you to think that I just ignored you and I wanted to make sure nothing happened. It just was weird not hearing from you again. You can look through my phone i-if you want. I’m not talking to anyone else or anything, only you.”
“I don’t know what happened,” you set the flowers down gently on the granite countertop before taking his hand and pulling him into the apartment. You closed the door and handed him back his phone before grabbing your own and showing him the same thing on your end. You watched his eyes widen in surprise, “but I was worried about you too.”
“Yeah?” his big brown eyes lit up with excitement as you nodded, “umm, I can go if you’d like. I’m not sure where to go from here or even if you’d still want to-”
You knew he was a nervous rambler, it had been one of the first endearing qualities you’d noticed about him. But this time, you cut him off by taking his face in your hands and kissing him. That seemed to shut him up immediately and his hands found your waist as he pulled you closer to him. Neither of you wanted to let go, only pulling apart when you both needed a breath of air.
“Umm, does that mean you don’t want me to go?” his cheeks were a dark pink and you couldn’t help the giggle that bubbled up and escaped your lips. You put your hand on his face and gently brushed your thumb over his cheek.
“I don’t want you to go,” you confirmed softly. Relief flooded throughout your body and all the worry and anxiety you’d been experiencing were slowly leaving. You hadn’t been imagining that Eddie really liked you - he did. He did.
“Cool,” he gnawed on the inside of his cheek for a moment, “I don’t want to go either. I was hoping you hadn’t totally decided you didn’t want anything to do with me anymore. ‘Cause I kinda really like you already.”
“I kinda really like you too,” you promised, the two of you exchanging shy smiles and nervous chuckles. You didn’t know why your texts hadn’t gone through to him and vice versa but it really didn’t matter. You were just thankful, among many other things, that he had cared enough to come and find you. Eddie Munson really hadn’t turned out to be one of those guys, “thank you for coming, and the flowers. That was really sweet of you.”
“Of course,” he smiled softly, “I know this is short notice but would you want to go out with me today? We can still do what I had planned for last night.”
“Right now?” you grew excited as you rocked back and forth on your heels.
“Right now,” he confirmed as you nodded, “but I can let you change first. I mean, you look gorgeous even in pajamas, but you might want some real shoes at least.”
“Oh,” you just realized that you were still in sleep shorts and a tank top with messy hair, “oh. Yeah, changing might be a good idea first. But then I’d love you to go out with you, Eddie.”
“Rad,” he whispered more to himself than anything else, “one more thing since I hadn’t been able to say it in a few days - good morning, sweetheart.”
“Good morning handsome,” you leaned up and pressed a kiss to his lips, “I’m so glad you’re here.”
“Me too,” he stole another kiss from you, “me too.”

If you feel inspired, #10 “I’ve seen the way you look at me when you think I don’t notice.” from the random prompt list <3
Her dad's guitar takes up a fair amount of space in Katniss's lap, boxy but lightweight, with room to hide behind when her nerves get the better of her. Slightly battered and smooth from use, the balsawood is cool to the touch when she picks its strings and makes it sing. But she's getting antsy, so she puts her guitar in its case and wanders over to the corner of the stage. She's careful to stay hidden behind the heavy velvet curtain. Ms. Trinkett will give her the devil if she catches her peeking out.
People are trickling into the high school auditorium: classmates, a few teachers, and a smattering of parents. She sees Gale and the rest of her cousins file into a row near the stage with Hazelle. Prim and her parents have been here for a while. Katniss hopes the auditorium won't be too full when Principal Flickerman starts the show. She's not a confident performer. Singing and playing are more of a compulsion for her, a hunger she has to feed rather than a bid for attention.
When the clock ticks down to zero (performance time! Ms. Trinkett brightly states), she's waiting for her turn to go on stage with the guitar strapped to her chest.
Madge starts the show with a classical piece. The school's piano is out of tune, but her best friend makes it work. Katniss can't keep the smile off her face. Madge is the shyest person she knows, and she's proud of her friend for getting over that fear to play tonight.
"Wow. Did you know she could play like that?" Peeta Mellark asks. Somehow he'd wandered away from the group he was standing with and up to her side.
Katniss gives a sharp nod, surprised he said anything at all. Not that he doesn't talk. He's popular, friendly, and always hanging out with one group or another. He just never talks to her.
"I mean, of course you do," he laughs at himself. "Is that why you're such good friends? Shared talent?"
She shrugs. "Maybe." She's never considered that before, but he might be on to something.
"Nothing like twenty questions before we go onstage. I'm just a little nervous. Talk too much when that happens."
"No, it's okay," she says. A strain of nervousness makes her insides tight, too. She decides she likes talking to Peeta. He says what he's thinking, but in a more thought-out way than she can pull off. Words stumble across her lips, leaving her embarrassed more often than not. "You can talk. It's not too much."
Peeta grins at her.
"Um, what are you doing?" she asks. "Not like, life in general. For the show."
"Comedy. Going to try getting laughs out of my dumb jokes."
"Oh. I didn't know you did that."
"Me neither, until two weeks ago when they posted the sign-up sheet. I had to find a way to get into the show."
"I was dragged here kicking and screaming. That's brave of you to try something new."
"Or stupid. We'll see." Peeta says. "I know you have a beautiful singing voice, but I didn't know you played."
"My dad taught me. This is his, actually." She pats the fretboard, keeping her eyes on the strings, feeling shy at the compliment. "I didn't know you'd heard me sing."
"I think it was your first public appearance. Kindergarten. Mrs. Paylor asked if anyone knew The Valley Song. Your hand shot up, and when you stood on your chair and sang, my fragile 5-year-old heart was lost," he says.
"That didn't happen," she says.
"Swear to god. You had on a red checkered dress, and your hair was in two long braids. I like your hair tonight, too. It's really pretty."
"Thank you," she murmurs. Katniss pats the braided, pinned updo her mother did for her. She likes the old-fashioned style because it feels in keeping with her mountain heritage.
Vague memories of that red and white dress invade her mind. She does her hair in a single braid most days because it's long and gets everywhere if she doesn't, and she did wear it in two as a child.
"You have an incredible memory."
Peeta shrugs, smiling down at the tips of his shoes.
"Peeta, you're next dear," Ms. Tinkett says, bringing Katniss back to herself. Madge's song was over three students ago in the rotation, and she hadn't even noticed.
"Wish me luck?" Peeta asks her quietly.
"Good luck," she says, kind of dumbfounded by their conversation. She'd caught Peeta looking her way when he thought she didn't notice but never considered what that meant.
She couldn't hear most of Peeta's stand-up routine, but she caught amused laughter from the audience. When it was her turn to go onstage and stand in the spotlight, their conversation was still in the forefront of her mind, and she found her fingers moving over the strings, playing The Valley Song and remembering the little curly blond headed boy from kindergarten.

CHAPTER 1
You took a deep lungful of cool, fresh air as you looked up at the beautiful wooden lodge in front of you. You dropped your bag next to your feet and shielded the bright sunlight from your eyes as you took in more of the sight.
A gentle squeeze of your shoulder interrupted you, "It's gorgeous isn't it?"
You smiled to Kylie, "Oh man, yeah. You're so lucky!"
"We don't get here as much as we'd like to but hopefully that will start to change." She raised her voice and leaned her head back towards her husband.
"Yeah, sure." Jason was struggling to carry the vast amount of luggage from the trunk, "Hey, honey? You wanna help me out here?"
Kylie laughed and jogged back to the truck before stopping and waving down another vehicle of vacationers, quickly disappearing in the opposite direction to guide them into the driveway. Jason hung his head and groaned.
"Hey, I got you." You smiled as you made your way closer to him, grabbing the handle of a bag that was slowly slipping from his grasp, "She's just excited!"
You had met Jason in your classes at college and you two quickly became close, forming a solid friendship group with friends Jasmine, Marc and Amie. You were all incredibly proud of Jason's successful football career and together, you would try to catch as many of his games as you could. Conflicting dates and locations would sometimes be a problem so you had all agreed to meet at least once a year for a big weekend reunion. It was Jason's turn this year to organise the trip this year and along with Kylie, arranged an incredible stay in their ski lodge in Vail.
"Yeah well, there'll be no skiing for me when I break my back carrying all of her junk!"
You laughed and grabbed a few more bags, placing them down in the snow at the door to the house.
"Hey girl!" Jasmine sang as she ran towards you with her arms outstretched.
You pulled her in for a tight hug, "Hi! How are you? It's been forever!"
As you pulled back, she brushed some hair from her face, "Oh, I know. I'm so busy with shoots and runways and brand deals, it's insane!"
"Well, you can tell me all about it over a drink later, why don't you bring your bags in and grab a room." You called out to her as she made her way back to the car. Your eyes landed on Amie and Marc who were chatting with Jason, so you walked back towards the truck.
"Honestly guys, it'll be fine." Jason mumbled.
You furrowed your brow, "What's up?"
Amie threw her arm around you, "Oh, just Princess Jasmine driving me crazy the whole way here."
"And speaking of driving, she didn't even touch the wheel. Me and Amie had to do it all. 13 hours, Y/N...13 hours." Marc rolled his eyes.
You giggled, "Oh, come on guys, was she that bad?"
"Fashion week this, photoshoot that...I saved people's lives at work last week but do I brag about that?" Amie shook her head.
Marc laughed as Jason handed you another bag.
"Drink, anyone?"
______________________________________________________________
You relaxed back into the large red leather Chesterfield armchair by the crackling fire, cradling a steaming mug of hot chocolate topped with a generous shot of rum.
"Well, I think you guys should've won, it wasn't a holding. The ref didn't make the right call at all." Marc shrugged his shoulders.
Kylie hissed through her teeth, "Oooh, don't let Trav hear you say that!"
"Yeah, it's a good job he can't make it this weekend." Jason took a sip of his drink as he pulled Kylie closer into him.
You smoothed your blanket down over your knees, "Oh, did you invite him?"
"Yeah, I thought it would be cool, but he's got some event or something tonight. It's a shame, it would have been cool." Jason said.
Amie wiggled her eyebrows, "It would have been cool for Y/N."
You sighed and took a large sip from your mug.
"Wait, what?" Kylie squealed.
You rolled your eyes, "It was one drunken kiss back in college, which can I remind everybody was, like, a century ago!"
Kylie giggled as Jason smiled at you, "Trav had a little crush back in the day."
The group laughed loudly and you could feel your cheeks burning, "Oh, stop it Jason! It wasn't a big deal, it was in a game of truth or dare and we were just kids!"
"Aww, leave Y/N alone!" Amie shouted above the clamour.
"Amie, you brought it up!" You laughed.
The sound of footsteps diverted your attention to the top of the staircase when Jasmine was adjusting her silk dressing gown.
"Is it just me or is it cold in here?"
Amie raised her eyebrows, "Maybe because you're wearing that! Go and put something on that will stop you from catching pneumonia."
Jasmine opened her gown as she descended the stairs to reveal a short silk chemise, her bottom lip protruding into a pout, "But it's cute!
You smiled and lifted your blanket, "Come on Jas, you can share my blanket."
"Thanks babe! So, what are we talking about?" She skipped over towards your chair and snuggled up next to you.
You opened your mouth before anyone else could, "Oh, just Jason's brother Travis who can't make it this weekend."
Jasmine lifted an eyebrow and looked over to Jason, "I didn't know you had a brother?"
Marc lifted his head from the back of the couch, "You really do live in your own little world, don't you?"
A gust of cold air flew into the room as the front door opened and a tall, broad man stepped in. He was wearing dark sunglasses and a black beanie hat, a smartly trimmed beard adorning his chin. Jason immediately leapt up from the couch and ran towards him as your heart skipped a beat.
"Alright now! Y'all can't have a party without me!"

Bite Me
My first OCs June and Aedes are finally getting their story told!! I'm so excited to finally be posting this. This chapter acts as a sort of prologue to their OG lil comic. I'm very happy to announce I've got 10 or so chapters already written so for the next little while I'll be uploading this story weekly!
- - - -
Next Chapter: Chapter 2
Word count: 759
CW: Vampire adjacent mild gore (mentions of blood, drinking blood)
Darkness had always been a comforting embrace to Aedes. There was an innate safety amongst the shadows, and a beautiful stillness under the light of the moon. Still- but not quiet. The night, in all its ethereal splendor, held a delicate symphony; Wood frogs and crickets sang with fervor, the leaves in the canopy above whispered subtle secrets, and the thrum of a heartbeat rang out in the distance- a sirens song to someone like him.
Aedes listened intently, following the slow rhythmic beating with well practiced ease- a predator stalking its prey. His mouth watered. It had been so long since he last fed. This rural town afforded him a certain safety, but the cost of less frequent feeding was a hard price to bear. He was starved. Hunger gnawed at his insides, relentless and unforgiving in its demand to be sated, the alluring call of a potential meal pulling him forward as if it were reeling him in.
He felt almost as if he were in a trance, his fixation on the thrumming causing the world around him to fade away. The nightly sounds seemed to dissolve more and more into the ether with each percussive beat. He followed the beat, his steps marching in time as if dancing to a stranger's most intimate song. Like a doting partner, he let the song lead him, each beat bringing him closer and closer to the unwitting musician.
There he stood, a quaint two story home before him, its sage green siding looking at home within the menagerie of plant life growing wild around it. As he scanned the building, his eyes fell on an open window. He smiled. It seemed the people of rural towns found a certain safety here as well.
With the utmost care, he heaved himself up, sliting the screen along its edge as he climbed through the window. He paused, taking in a deep breath as he perched on the window sill. Closing his eyes, he drank in the smell. A scent, smooth and sweet filled his lungs, so tempting it made his breath hitch. His hands shook, and his heart pounded with anticipation- His more desperate instincts calling on him to rush towards that effervescent scent and abandon all rationality. Patience. He steadied his breath, letting his urges feed his excited anticipation.
A woman lay right there beneath him, her chest rising and falling in rhythm with her heart. Bathed in the pale light of the full moon, he marveled at her ambrosian beauty. Under the glistening light, her soft and subtle skin looked as though she was made of milk and honey, her nectarous lips full and blushing, the sight of their colour teasing hints of that… vigor that flowed so closely beneath her skin.
And her neck-
He found himself baring his teeth involuntarily, his body begging for him to drink.
She lay with her head to one side, such an innocent position filling him with such a potent hunger, as if she left herself open and vulnerable just for him. Adrenaline and hunger mingled together, dizzying in their intensity. His own heart thrummed alongside hers, beating much more wildly- a symbiotic dance between predator and prey, the thrill of the hunt intertwining with that ever-present dread of being caught.
He couldn't wait any longer.
Silent as the dead, he descended on her- his movements fluid despite their uncanny speed. The call of her heart beckoning him, compelling him to indulge.
Indulge he did.
His teeth sliced into the flesh of her neck, her soft skin offering no hint of resistance to his bite. He suppressed the urge to groan.
The taste - he shivered.
She tasted like life.
On his tongue, she was a reprise. Her warmth filling him- her blood rejuvenating and invigorating. His mind felt dizzied, dancing on a drunken high he never quite understood. He felt a stupor come over him and welcomed it, riding out the bliss as he drank.
An oasis is she,
So sweet on my tongue,
If I could drink my fill I would drown-
He gulped with a primal desperation, his gluttony feeling boundless.
Such an insatiable creature am I,
You, the ambrosia my lips pursue
Dear, my hunger consumes me,
please, let me consume -
Her breath hitched.
Suddenly, the night was no longer still.
In the blink of an eye, his world shifted- or more accurately, flipped- as gravity suddenly ripped him away from his indulgence. His mind reeled, desperate to understand what was happening.
To his horror, he found himself falling.

Eithne/Arthur - “ why are you looking at me like that? ”
flashback
Arthur looked quickly away at the sound of her words. He rubbed the back of his neck. Bit out a self-conscious laugh.
The day was gorgeous, the sun streaming beyond a canopy of gently waving trees. All around them, the field was bursting with wild grasses and flowers that seemed to dot the landscape with bursts of vibrant color: her greens mingling with his reds and blues, till the whole world seemed decked out for only them. And amongst all this, ensconced on rugs and pillows stretched out against the roots the sheltering oaks, motes of light filtered between the boughs, bathing Eithne in golden light as she spoke of her beloved Malconaire, her whole face beaming like the sun.
She was transcendant -- at once more a creature of this earth than he could ever be, and yet so untouchably ethereal he held his breath, almost afraid she might melt away at the slightest of breezes. A chorus of birds sang all around her as if they sang with delight just to be near her, and the dappled light wound round her like will-o-the-whisp attendants sighing upon their liege lady. The radiance of the sun was her nimbus, not glowing upon her but, rather, shining because of her and, despite himself, Arthur smiled again, this time a meditative look taking hold of his features as he stole a glance once more at her.
He'd seen her at balls and at tourneys, but as stunning as she was all made up in Roisin's finest glamors, they could not match her natural beauty here in this wild place, so much a part of her that it seemed to breathe as she did, the very wind stirring with her words. Her tresses were all the finer simply framing her face than caught up in a golden net, and Arthur thought that perhaps all that finery appeared garish against the smooth porcelain of her skin, beaming as it did here in serene sunshine. Her eyes blazed an azure so fine he was sure the sky blushed to be compared to a tint so luminous, and her smile, so rosy, seemed to capture the full lustre of the floral hedges that danced in the attendant zephyrs all around them.
Arthur smiled then, arching a soft brow as he looked at her. His voice, when he spoke, was very soft. "I should have thought that obvious."
For a moment, Eithne looked at him and then, suddenly seeming to catch his meaning, or perhaps -- he hoped -- thinking something similar herself, she colored slightly and looked away. "You mustn't say such foolish things, Arthur. Anyone might think you meant them."
"It would showcase their wisdom."
Laughing, Eithne made herself busy, then, leaning forward to draw a repast from the wicker basket at her knee. Her gown was a simple roughspun, but somehow, out here amongst the gently tilting trees, he did not think anything could have appeared more becoming and, sighing, he gazed heavenward.
"Tell me -- before...before my father," began Arthur, gesturing vaguely, as if to indicate a time before the conquest. "How did you spend days like these?"
Eithne paused in her ministrations, and Arthur was conscious, then, of the weight of her gaze upon him. He smiled, slightly, still looking skyward. "Well...when we could, much like this."
"Oh?"
"But, most often, taking baskets to the village, of course."
Arthur frowned, turning to look at her, then. "Are...are they fond of...wicker?"
She laughed. His confusion did not dissipate. It was Eithne's turn to look quizzical. "Do...I don't suppose you take baskets to people? Or...or perhaps your sisters? Your mother and stepmother?"
Arthur shrugged. "I don't know that most people in the Empire have much...inclination towards--" he shrugged, gaze sliding to the basket at her knee. "Baskets. They're useful, certainly, but--"
"No, it's not--we don't take empty baskets."
Arthur shook his head, shrugging.
"They're filled with goods. Gifts. Bread and cheese and lettuce and jams and...anything that might help those...less well off."
"So...its some form of...charity?"
"Yes! Precisely."
Arthur frowned at the basket before them, doubt churning inside him. Then, a moment, and he pointed. "And? Is...this...charity?"
"What?"
"I just--It's a basket."
Laughing suddenly, Eithne set a plate with cheese and cold chicken before him. "In this case, it's hospitality. I daresay, you're better off than I am, or don't they feed imperial princes?" she teased, grinning.
Laughing, Arthur watched her laughter, her whole face seeming to somehow brighten even further as her limpid eyes danced. Somewhere deep in his belly, Arthur felt warmth suffuse him, something bright and briliant blooming in his chest as he joined her in laughter. "Why do you think we all come here so very often?"
"I did not imagine you came as beggars."
Arthur paused, watched the merriness in her face. It seemed to him the birds were singing more quietly now, as if they were alone in all the world, with no other earlthy creature to witness. This moment was theirs. "Any man, even a prince, is a beggar before someone like you." I didn't think someone like you could exist... he thought.
She frowned. "You make me sound a tyrant."
He shook his head, sat up a little straighter. "No, I..." he shrugged, sighing. "Eithne, what I mean is...There's no one else in the world like you. No one. Anywhere, and..." he shrugged, laughed. "I would know. I've been most places in the world, after all, and...You've no equal, Eithne. No rival. To know you is to wish to know you better. To be with you is to wish never to be parted." Arthur sighed, then, self-conscious, shrugged. "I'm not much with words, Eithne...I just mean there is no one like you. You're the sort of woman a man would beg, borrow, or steal just to please but, despite it all, I know that...My father may own half the world, but that won't make you mine. I could shower you with gems and you'd frown just," he laughed. "Just as you do now at the idea. Riches aren't what matter to you so...we're all beggars. You see? I've got nothing you want. And that's...that's something I've never encountered before."
"You're wrong!" blurted Eithne.
Arthur frowned. "I--"
"You do have something I want."
"What is it? It's yours, I--"
"Oh, hush," whispered Eithne and, leaning close, she pressed a kiss to his cheek. "There," she said, smiling, a blush blooming upon her cheeks as she leaned back again.
"Oh no you don't," chuckled Arthur, one hand slipping into the veil of her hair to cradle her neck as he leaned close. Her lips were soft as roses petals. Her breath was a warm zephyr. And her eyes, when he opened his own to see them, were brighter than the whole sky.
