I feel like YangYang isn’t really that interested in serious romantic relationships at the moment. It looks more like he’s still searching his way through life, like he’s waiting for something special to come into his life. Is it possible he hasn't dated before? I was victim of child neglect where my parents ignored me and gave more importance to my brother as he is male child. The ignorance was hard for me and my self esteem was hit badly. I was deep introvert and hard fast logical thinker. My social or physical abilities were not developed as I never had any friends to play or social setup to mingle. Also, i never felt any need for same. My parents never tried to help me see where I am failing and how I can improve. I used to immerse myself in books and daydream. I tried to reason with my parents at times but I was very straightforward so they saw it as blunt and it didn't end well. I used to do all things in daydream which I don't do in real life.

The only thing I had was, I was good in studies. So I think that became my identity as that was only thing where I can shine and get attention. But lack of skills in other areas had impact on my confidence. This continued in college as well as job. In college, people used to call me reserved and maybe dull. In job, we had teamwork and because of my introversion and non developed social skill, they started calling me like I have ego issue etc etc. I was independent, low self expression and mainly focusing on work, no much small talk.. all ended up my image being kind of dark. I don't know what I did wrong.

At that point, I wasn't aware about my personality development issue or that I am child neglect victim. I never gave deep thought to any of this then. I used to shine in work due to my technical abilities and used to think that people are either jealous of my achievement or they need just entertainment. I was too busy with my life as well because I had family and young kid, so it was battle of time.

I got to know about MBTI in lockdown and realized that,

I have never accepted any issue with my parents even to myself

I have ignored my health a lot while pulling career

I have never paid attention to other people as in their feeling etc

I did not build strong network at work

I am kind of blind to others strength because I value only intelligence too much

I went on to build life I want with such a focus that I totally missed on other thing. Somehow, money and career advancement became point of self esteem for me

The only good thing is, I am very open to people in my inner circle and they know me, value me, respect me

I wasn't self aware, did not handle my introversion properly. In order to open up to people, I have landed in awkward social situations and then gave up getting frustrated

There was huge gap between how I see myself and how others see me. I didn't know why this is happening

I have burned bridges with few people when they were open to have discussions

Now, I feel terrible. I miss people I have hurt or misbehaved. There are few career opportunities I have lost. I am not sure if this is sign of immature INTJ or something to do with my childhood or entirely different issue.

Once I knew MBTI, I researched and improved a lot. Now, I am far more balanced person. My husband and other close people are noticing change in me and in general, I can sense it myself. But, I am not able to let go past. It's like I am carrying it in my head that I was like this. I don't have any shame associated with it. I am ok with my past but I just want to live free and close that chapter in my head permanently.

There are few people who I really miss but now can not go back and make things right. I am having hard time accepting it. I keep on regretting myself like why I wasn't aware about all this little earlier

The topic of regretting past mistakes comes up often, search the relevant tags, like this post. It doesn't really matter "when" you learned, as long as you did eventually. If "when" matters so much to you, then perhaps you have some pridefulness issue to work through due to having an unrealistic image of what you "should" be. Unrealistic images are a common path to self-inflicted suffering.

You spend a lot of time punishing yourself for mistakes and not enough time appreciating how they allowed you to progress and grow. What would your life be without mistakes? Without them, you'd have far fewer opportunities to realize the truth of yourself. In other words, your perspective on mistakes is problematic. They should be embraced rather than derided.

People only do what they know. You can't know everything or be good at everything. Once you've learned what you didn't know, you ought to forgive yourself for the past ignorance. Whatever you imagine was the "perfect" way to handle things doesn't really exist. If you could've done better back then, you would've.

Take control of your mind: Let go of the imaginary scenarios you've created of the past or imaginary ideals of what you should've been and proceed with humility in facing up to the current state of your shortcomings, flaws, and weaknesses (requires Te). The process of living is experiencing and growing. Or do you believe it's about being born perfect out of the womb?

- capricorn mercury or mercury/ saturn are really good at math or just any subject that applies concepts and theories in practical ways!

- degrees really matter! i know two people who both have capricorn rising, but one is at 10 degrees and the other at 13. the one with 10 degrees (capricorn degree) exudes more capricorn qualities (hardworking, always has a plan, disciplined). the one with 13 degrees (aries) is more spontaneous, impatient, and laid back.

- having a lot of planets in the 11th house does not always mean the person is an extrovert. it can be that the community surrounding them will play a major role in who they are as a person. it can point to someone who move through different environments and constantly adapt themselves to changes. it can also mean that person stands out in any group they’re in and maintains their individuality (aquarius).

- 12th house is usually regarded as a spiritual house, but with capricorn energy in the mix can make someone who is very realistic while also having the ability to look at things in an intuitive, almost otherworldly way. many of them actually don’t believe in the supernatural unless they’ve experienced it themselves. if you’re into mbti, they could be an INTJ.

I will try my best with izana and wakasa since there's not tons to work with personality wise so forgive me if theirs are a little shorter heh. im gonna include a little blurb from the bsd fandom wiki for anyone not familiar with his character! I like these kinds of headcanon requests so if anyone wants to see more please feel free to request!

"Akutagawa has a black and white "survival of the fittest" view of the world, claiming that weak people should die and give way to the stronger ones. He is not afraid of pain and defeat His ruthless, vicious nature makes him one of the Port Mafia's most dangerous members, feared by both ally and foe. As violent as he is, Akutagawa maintains a generally composed and detached approach. Towards subordinates and superiors alike, he acts aloof, distancing himself from social interactions however possible. Nonetheless, his composure is fragile. Akutagawa is quick to lash out, ridiculing him for risking the bounty by acting recklessly. This quick temper often gets in his way, fuelling his actions to the core of his very being."

IZANA

- this is an interesting one because from what we know about izana, he is very similar in personality to akutagawa in terms of ruthlessness that stems from childhood trauma and isolation.

- in the case of a s/o with this personality, I think it would be a troubling relationship. lots of bitter fights fuelled by nothing but an inability to express vulnerability, while leaving both of you torn up inside and begging for someone to nurture the trauma and allow space for emotions.

- that being said, with toxicity and trauma also comes intense passion and desire. this relationship brings a lot of fire both in the bedroom and outside of the bedroom, with simple arguments often spawning into intense desperate (and lengthy might I add) sex. like, intense. it's almost like sex is the only safe outlet of these pent up emotions, providing a sort of comfort and also distraction for both parties.

- however as I said in general, this is definitely a toxic relationship. one where neither can help the other when it comes to growth and improvement on a personal level. it's unhealthy and enabling, but for a short lived fling it is hot as fuck im not even gonna lie. lots of hate sex too.

WAKASA

- so wakasa is another interesting one alongside izana given the lack of information and content we have about his character so please excuse the slight kc fanon version I have in my head of wakasa lol

- wakasa has a "don't fuck with me because I do not fucking care" type of vibe to him. I definitely think he's the type to completely disengage from the type of behaviours an akutagawa-type s/o might display. this leads to sort of a sense of competitiveness in trying to get some kind of reaction from him, and it has the potential (much like izana) to become toxic in nature

- any attempts to get under his skin are failed attempts, and the way he looks at you with that half bored expression is something that only triggers more of a somewhat emotional response from you.

- with that being said, my fanon version of wakasa is someone who while cold and aloof, is also quite a rational person. he's been typed by the fandom as INTJ which is quite a quick thinker, and I think he probably (despite not showing it very well) has a soft spot for you. but your passion and intensity (as well as your easily triggered dynamic) keeps him from completely being able to express this care in any way other than not engaging with your antics

- as much as there are some similarities with the type of toxicity in this relationship with both wakasa and izana, the intense passion isn't quite the same as it is with izana. instead, feelings of passion are more to the point and driven by pure instinct and desire rather than toxic passion. wakasa seeming like a very literal person, is actually quite mysterious deep down and has a lot (I mean a lot) of hidden desires and kinks that begin to emerge with time. it's rarely a conversation, and more often just something that happens that surprises you. you just have to go with the flow here, and let him take the reigns for once. it might actually be a good opportunity to allow for vulnerability to take the spotlight for once, which is something wakasa is surprisingly in tune with and quite to the point about.

CHIFUYU

- this is something much healthier than the last two. chifuyu, being an enfp is someone that's able to handle this level of intensity in a person while still being able to understand what's really going on.

- call him the trauma counsellor king. he values each and every response to a trigger that you might have. he notices patterns, he makes mental notes of things, and he does this all without making it seem like he's analyzing.

- to be honest he actually loves the spunk you bring on a day to day level. even though most of the time it's driven by bitterness or hate (not always towards him just in general) he is still able to see beyond that and appreciate you for what you are.

- with that being said, chifuyu will not stand for any toxic behaviour towards him. no sir he will not. threats and pushes for fights wont be tolerated, and he will either disengage or try to expose your vulnerabilities in an attempt at forced submission. this can be hard to get used to, especially with having a personality characterized by the inability to accept being vulnerable. but with time chifuyu is one to create a safe space for you to allow yourself to feel emotions beyond anger and resentment, and he encourages this.

- because of this very feelings based approach, intimacy with chifuyu is just that: intimate. he's extremely loving and doting, hoping that his sweetness can rub off on you a little bit. however he's also very accepting of your need for power over him (especially during sex) and will absolutely submit to your needs in order to please you.

- he really likes to put you in a place of pleasure though, so however that may come to you chifuyu is the one to deliver it.

KAZUTORA

- oh boy. this one is a doozy. listen. if we're talking about timeskip kazutora (as is the case with all characters i write about but I feel it especially important to remind ppl of here given his history), we're talking about someone who is quite literally walking on eggshells in terms of his trauma and emotional vulnerability.

- he's pretty good at being emotionally aware of his needs and struggles as well as the needs and struggles of those around him, but that doesn't mean that he's entirely healed or capable of managing toxicity or his triggers. he still slips up from time to time especially when things get hard, and sometimes finds himself falling into his old patterns. after all, he's only human. but this is where things could get messy in a relationship.

- for the most part, like I said, he's pretty good. so let's focus on that part first since I want to give him credit where it's due. he is very desperate for love and dedicated to providing something to his partner. in this case, he will seek to tap into his emotional vulnerability to provide some sort of comfort for you. he wants to see you happy, and calm, because he sees so much of his old self in you that it gets to him sometimes. but at the same time, he struggles with your relentlessness and can become emotionally drained when things get tough. he'll beat himself up for not being good enough to help you, and this is when he'll isolate and fall into old patterns.

- however, akutagawa's personality type isn't all bad. with a s/o like akutagawa, comes an immense amount of protection and loyalty for their loved ones no matter how tough things might be. in this case it might be hard to communicate this, but there will be times when it's needed in order for kazutora to restrain from old habits and ways of dealing with hardships. but he wants to share his healing with you, he wants you to be happy, and more than anything he understands the struggle of wanting to be happy and healthy but being afraid of losing the one thing that makes you you: your attitude and relentlessness. nobody understands this better than kazutora, which is why things between you can get frustrating and very personal for him.

- much like chifuyu, sex is driven towards pleasing you and only you. chifuyu leans more into switch territory however, while kazutora is 100% submissive. in this case it works out well, however he has a lot of boundaries and limitations when it comes to the way in which you function. he doesn't like degradation. instead, he thrives from praise and any sign of love and care. this might be tough for you to execute 100% of the time, but when it comes down to it the way his eyes twinkle for you is enough to make the ice around your heart melt just a little more each time.

Personality: In a way Einar takes after both his parents, but he is his own man in his own right. He is quiet and rational, known to be very independent, creative and self-motivated therefore strives to do things his own way. Unlike many, he does not rely on the status quo. He can be ambitious and won't stop until he's achieved his definition of success. Because of this he can be very stubborn. He is open to new ideas but can be skeptical by nature, often questioning things in order to properly understand a concept.

He is prone to being rather dismissive of emotions given his more rational side which often means he struggles to relate or understand others on an emotional level and can get frustrated. However, he can have great deal of self-control, particularly when it comes to thoughts and feelings, most of the time. There are certain times when he will loose his temper and become uncontrollably aggressive this is due to his werewolf nature. When the people in his life fail to match his level of restraint, he can appear scathingly critical and can get rather impatient. He sometimes gets caught up in arguing because he hates blindly following anything without understanding why. He has a kind demeanour and portrays himself as a gentle natured soul but despite that, Einar can sometimes be manipulative even when he doesn't realise he's doing it.

He isn’t a social butterfly, even though he seems like he can hold a conversation he is a difficult individual to get to know and can be a mysterious when it comes to revealing anything about himself. If forced into large gatherings he will often keep to himself or in the shadows, trying not to get too heavily involved. Getting to know people and making friends has never been Einar’s strong suit and he is okay with that. He enjoys his own company and is more than happy to discover life on his own.

Einar Lokison/Mikaelson, a name derived from Old Norse meaning ‘lone warrior’, the name given to him by his favourite uncle Elijah. He was born in New Orleans, USA Louisiana to the infamous Werewolf-Vampire hybrid Klaus Mikaelson who for a very brief period of time (literally a night) visited his favourite city and Loki Laufeyson—who at the time was in feminine form and went by the name Lotus—yes, the Norse God of Mischief. Being the firstborn, Einar was the heir to Asgard’s throne however Loki did not wish for his son to return with him to his respected universe because of his tainted blood as a werewolf-vampire hybrid instead he deemed him ‘An Immortal Mistake’ and claimed that he’d never be worthy to be called a Prince of Asgard and so Loki left Einar under the care and protection of the Mikaelsons.

Although, at this time Klaus never really cared for kids and was hell bent on creating a name for himself as the big bad therefore rarely spent time with his son. Despite that, he did care that his son never was properly influenced by his mad state and so trusted his siblings to care for Einar. Elijah, his uncle was the fill in, as was Rebekah, Einar’s aunty when Klaus was in one of his rampages. His time spent with the siblings was filled with learning about his family’s story and who they were. While his werewolf side lay dormant and his vampirism meant he’d have to die to turn he spent his time focusing on unlocking his magical side. Einar’s uncle Kol was skilled in the art and helped him to discover and harness his gift. As a firstborn his abilities came on stronger which caused bursts of rage. It took him a little while to properly control the Mikaelson witch inside of him. Aside from this he was fully unaware of his Jotunn genes or the Asgardian Magic he could of leant from Loki, only learning that he was more sensitive to heat than anyone else.

When Einar was about 8 he experienced his first time fleeing from Mikael, his grandfather and the ruthless vampire hunter that his father and the rest of the family had been running for centuries. Elijah, Rebekah and Niklaus argued on the best way to safely protect Einar, however they ended up hiding in a small town in Spain for the good part of an entire year. There the Mikaelson family hid in plain sight, blending into their environment and with the people there. Einar was able to learn Spanish for the most part. It was a year later that they returned to America, seeking shelter in Canada for a short span of time before Klaus and Elijah got into a massive disagreement that ended with Klaus leaving with Einar and moving once again to Norway in hopes of throwing Mikael off. He was around the age of 10 at the time. They spent about a year or so there meaning that Einar was about 11 when they returned home to America.

On their return, Klaus told his son that he was on some mission to find a special stone that would give him access to his wolf side. Naturally, Einar was curious and had no choice but to join his father in hunting for the Moonstone. They travelled all over the country in search of this stone. In this story, Einar was thrown into the real world of being a vampire. Despite Elijah’s efforts to keep him from the pain and torment that his younger brother was causing, Einar was exposed to the cruelty his father could bring. It around this time that he started to question, challenge and rebel against the rules that were often placed upon him in order to keep him safe.

It was when he was about 13 that Loki finally decided to show up in his life, returning to demand that Einar fall under his custody. Despite Elijah’s arguments and Niklaus’ threats, Loki wouldn’t take no as an answer and ripped Einar away from the Mikaelsons entirely and brought him back to his own earth. There he was forced into the life of being an older brother, helping to care for his apparent younger sisters, Vera who was 4 and Rúna (@wolfyocs) who was 2 at the time of his arrival. It took quite a bit of time but he adjusted to his situation and spent 4 whole years under Loki’s protection despite being rather distant and reluctant to build any connection with him. Einar grew rather close and adored his youngest sister, Rúna even though she was so young at the time.

After 4 reasonably peaceful years, it was unfortunately at the age of 17 that he got into an argument with Loki about how incredibly wrong it was for him to take him away from the Mikaelsons given in his eyes they were his actual family. This fight happened to break out of a trip to the park. He lost control of his temper and an unexpected burst of magic was released from him, accidentally killing several adults and sadly kids in the process. In doing so he triggered his werewolf curse.

Naturally, Einar felt terrible for what he had done and went into hiding with the help of Wanda and Pietro. However, during the full moon of that month Einar turned into a wolf for the first time. He almost killed Rúna and according to Loki had to be knocked out by magic to properly contain him. It was after that night that Loki made the decision and kicked him out of the house indefinitely saying he was a danger to his sisters and everyone around him and had proven to be the Immortal Mistake that he had been called the day he had been born.

Einar was forced to disappear from his sister’s lives and fend for himself. He spent that year of his life trying to figure out how to return to the universe he had come from previously. He wanted to go home. It wasn’t until late November in that year that he finally discovered the portal his father-mother had been using. Without hesitation he travelled through the portal and returned to New Orleans. He was welcomed back with open arms and tears, well at least from Rebekah. His father wasn’t the crying type. He learnt that time was a little different in that universe and meant that he was technically 18. Dimension jumping was weird. He was told of the problems surrounding the New Orleans witches and the threat they were to the soon to be newest member of the Mikaelson family. Einar of course by habit was determined to help protect the apparent ‘Miracle Baby’ that would be his sister. However, his efforts were stopped when the witches put a hex on him, or at least attempted to do so. He was a lot more powerful in his magic than they anticipated and he cast a protection spell, it wasn’t enough because it only managed to effect the colouring of his eyes which turned from blue to steal grey, his sight isn’t best but his werewolf side helps him with proper navigation.

As a result of his failure, Hayley Marshall was forced to give birth to a daughter. The witches took the baby and killed Hayley in the process in need for completing a sacrifice without interruption. They were not counting on Einar to storm in on them in a Mikaelson rage in revenge for them cutting off his efforts to fulfil the protection of his baby sister. In the mitts of his anger he killed 5 witches in total, ultimately upsetting the balance within the witch covens. His father wasn’t genuinely surprised by his burst of anger, but what did confuse him was the lack of remorse Einar felt towards the killings. He was surprised when his son claimed that the lives taken were worth it because Hope Mikaelson, his sister was safe. Of course in Klaus’ eyes he couldn’t disagree with that. However, Elijah pointed out the problem with that revelation and voiced his concerns.

After considerate thinking and analysing of his own actions, Einar made the decision to leave the protection of the Mikaelsons in order to try and ‘find himself’ and Although, on the day he left which was a week after his nineteenth birthday he was ambushed by an outsider pack of werewolves. They captured, tortured and killed him claiming that he was a parasite to the werewolf bloodlines. It was his father who found him lying dead a few hours later in a warehouse just outside of New Orleans. Einar awoke moments later, in transition, in order to complete his transition he needed to drink human blood. Klaus took him back to the New Orleans compound where he completed his transition and became the first Jotunn/Asgardian-Supernatural Tribrid.

The Mikaelsons taught Einar how to properly control his blood lust, however by the age of 20 his magic was growing stronger. With the arrival of Freya Mikaelson, Klaus’ lost older sister, together they learnt that he alone was becoming a beacon for a much greater threat than the Original Vampire family had ever faced, mulitversal bounty hunters. Much to Elijah and Klaus’ uncertainty and in order to protect his family, Einar finally left New Orleans, fleeing across the world to Norway in hopes that whatever or whoever was after him would be drawn away. His plan in fact did work because shortly after arriving in Norway he was faced with strange people who came in through portals and attempted to capture him. Being more prepared and having reasonably good control of his magic, Einar managed to fight off the hunters long enough to make an escape. It’s worth noting that he is basically self taught in a lot of his magic excluding the Mikaelson witch inside of him. In those three years, Loki never bothered to teach him Asgardian Magic. Anyway, he created his first tear in space and time, a portal that he had no choice but to dive into in order to survive.

For a good 2 years he hopped his way through different dimensions. Not on a regular basis because creating portals drained his abilities but enough times to avoid being noticed or tracked easily by hunters. He spent a lot of his time in wolf form or pulling a classic Mikaelson and constantly staying on the move once he’d settled on a universe to hid in. Those few years were tough especially being a novice to the entire concept of the multiverse. In his time learning how to navigate his portal openings Einar made errors, usually involving him landing in apocalyptic worlds or universes where chaos and destruction was the epicentre. He saw a lot of death and everything that came with it. Of course there are various side stories to be shared that happened within those years.

When he was about 23 he grew extremely exhausted from the constant paranoia, anxiety and ptsd and turned his humanity off, as a vampire he had that ability meaning exactly what it states. He pulled a switch on his emotions, basically having second to no feelings about anything whatsoever. His time as a vamp with no humanity lasted an entire year and a half (see side stories for better detail) and was not the really considered the highlight of his life either, like most vampires it was a time of darkness, a journey to find better light. Still, he powered forward, determined to continue to live the second life he had been given to him at least to the best of his ability.

Around the age of 25 Einar was one day unfortunately caught off guard and captured by HYDRA. (See side stories for more!) They experimented and ‘studied’ on him for 2 years before he finally escaped. He then spent the next couple of years hiding out, devising a plan to destroy the place that held him captive and made his life a living hell. Only one thing came back as a positive, Einar learnt of his sister Rúna’s whereabouts. Only recently he multiverse hopped into the earth where Rúna lives with the avengers and her other siblings. He made attempts to reach her before finally managing to land in that current universe.

- He is not worthy to pick up Mjölnir despite not having any real malicious intent.

- He can’t shapeshift like other children of Loki but can only shift into a wolf, because he is a hybrid he can do so voluntarily and willingly.

- Like any other vampire he does need human blood in order to survive otherwise he would desiccate.

- He loves animals, has always wanted a horse!

- Einar was actually named after his uncle Elijah’s favourite horse that he had when he was much younger.

- His wolf form is black with deep amber glowing eyes.

- He has a scar down his left eye, it’s evidence of the hex the New Orleans witches tried to put on him. Because of his healing factor, he possess no other physical scars.

When INFP Disappeared: Afterward

Have you ever felt like you're drowning? As the waves of your failures crash around you and engulf you? Like no matter how much you struggle to get out and swim, you are chained and sinking below, a slave to your own hateful lies? How did that song go again?

I have no fear of drowning, it's the breathing that's taking all this work, do you know, what I mean, when I say, I don't wanna be alone.

Reality is unkind, and not made for some of us, not made for myself. That is why I entered through those doors to have a sweet release and feel like I truly belonged. Perhaps I was blind, perhaps I could not see that there were people around me. Hard to acknowledge that when you feel like you've been drifting in the void where every lifeline you try and grab beings to snap.

I have tried many things, traveled many places, had many experiences, fun experiences, I've grown, I've cried, I've laughed and not died. Despite all of that, I look at myself through the mirror and wonder about it all. Chaos resides within me, from the chaos of emotions to the chaos of ideas, all fighting with the chaos of the numerous lies. I feel... broken.

All the kings' horses and all the kings' men, couldn't put INFP back together again. Was I a fool? To try and pick up the glass pieces of myself that shattered into a million pieces? To scream into the emptiness and not a sound to come out? To bottle it all up and tell myself it was fine.

ENTJ guards me sometimes, and makes sure I don't go anywhere alone anymore, if she can't do it, she sends someone else to do it in her stead. It's usually INTJ, no one knows how she does it but she has access to everyone's homes, and I don't mean having keys to everyone's place or coming in through the window... there are secrets within these halls, secrets that she keeps guarded. Though most of the time she really doesn't need to, the twins have made sure to keep me ample company, they find it kind of fun, but then they find lots of things fun... still I am glad for their company.

I am... broken, and this apartment room often feels... empty. Yet sometimes, sometimes, I see movement out of the corner of my eye. When ENTJ found out about this, she became far more vigilant, and I sometimes think she's hiding something from me. She'll quickly move and grab something before just as quickly hiding it and saying it was nothing. Added onto that she's begun to carve things into the walls, they feel like Celtic runes. I've been too tired to investigate or maybe I just haven't cared enough to do so.

I try and distract myself, try and begin to enjoy new sensations and pursue new ideas, many of them keep failing though... a lot of what I do keeps failing. I've been told it's a sign of progress, yet I still feel frustrated because I am not that patient of a person. Perhaps it's the perfectionist in me, that tells me if it's not done right the way I want it done, then I've failed and it's best to move on. Other times I become very stubborn, fight and keep fighting even though I keep failing, but because I care enough, I am stubborn enough and so I keep fighting.

I haven't told ENTJ this... I actually haven't told anyone this but, sometimes I'll hear a harmonious melody calling my name with no source. Not only that, my dreams of late have been bringing me back to the meadow where I met the fae before. I've started to feel relaxed more now, and sometimes in the mirror, I see figures beckoning for me to join them.

🌌 —  THE STORY.

           ONCE UPON A TIME , IN A FAR-AWAY LAND known as nara , an ordinary girl is born to two parents who love her ( but cannot seem to love themselves. ) they name her cordelia and, from a young age, there was always something a little . . . off about their sweet girl. now, many parents would claim that their child glows & a light seems to follow them wherever they wander, but the wantanabes would be right.

           it isn’t until the young girl turns 10 that she realizes that no, not everyone can bend space and time to their own whim. not everyone sees the universe as a malleable thing, able to be crafted in one’s own image should they wish. in fact, she is the only one she knows who can do anything of the sort. okay, her dad has superhuman-like strength ( in that he can help her open bottles and things of that sort ) and her mother is incredibly quick-witted, but neither of them can conjure hot balls of gas and light whenever they wish. cordelia can. it’s her mother’s idea to keep it a secret, out of fear that someone could find the young girl and exile her for being so . . . different. delia doesn’t see the harm in it. what’s the worst that can happen? at that age, all she tended to do was bring a bit of starlight to the light-polluted nara and its surrounding areas. it wasn’t like she was dangerous in her mind, it’s all fun and games . . . until someone gets hurt.

           and who should get hurt? why, her beloved parents, of course. a freak accident ( a rush, a blur, not knowing where her powers could take her. ) cordelia was swallowed whole by the guilt of seeing both of her parents in the hospital, doctors whizzing around them while not knowing what in the world had gotten to either of them. they couldn’t for the life of them guess; most thought lightning had something to do with it. if they only knew it was the little girl sitting at each of their bedsides, hot tears streaming down her cheeks.

           they both eventually got to go home -- becoming known around nara as the lightning couple, due to the belief that they both were struck by lightning, despite the outlandish odds -- but cordy knew that she wouldn’t be able to go home with them. she would never forgive herself if something worse ( and there wasn’t much worse that could happen to either of them ) so she found hosu and ran, ran, ran. of course, when she arrived safe and sound, she wrote to her parents, but she’s broken inside knowing that, well, it has to be this way. it’s breaking them all, but it has to be this way.

🌌 —  WELCOME TO THE ISLE.

          THE BROWN-EYED girl shows up on the island shaking. she'd never done anything so brash before, yet, here she was, so many miles away from everything she'd ever known and with nothing to her name . . . nothing other than that stupid quirk she'd been all but cursed with.

          stupid stars. stupid light. stupid gas. stupid universe.

          . . . so what if she's not exactly eloquent, she's too angry to care. what a wicked way to go, but cordelia figures it's better her than her parents. they do forgive her, eventually, but it takes quite a few conversations that last hours upon hours and some good, old fashion groveling. afraid of growing so close to someone that she can hurt them again, cordelia becomes a master of being seen and not heard; it's easier to not be missed if no one really knows you, after all.

          but it's incredibly lonely. living by a rule that an eleven-year-old version of herself created is becoming harder and harder with each passing day, especially when she starts having to lie to mom and dad when they ask about her friends ( cordelia never did like that sad sounding sigh that would always come across the line. ) so she creates these fanciful friends and their fantastic adventures across the isle. they all have their own quirks but they learn to live with them, learn to love them and, by extension, themselves. yeah, it sounds something out of a coming-of-age film that cordelia would probably love . . . but what her parents don't know won't hurt them.

          but it'll end up hurting cordelia. karma's been chasing not too far behind with its sight set on her and, one day, it finally gets her. a horrible accident, her mother exclaimed, so much blood and just -- what, what is going on? cordelia's heart was in her throat and she wanted to scream until she broke the sound barrier. she nearly went supernova ( quite literally, too. it took everything in her not to explode right then and there. ) her father was hit by some punk drunk driver and was announced dead on arrival . . . what? why would the universe do such a thing? why would those stupid stars that everyone swore by decide to take such an inherently good person away?

          it wasn't fair. cordelia fell into a deep deep depression. the stars didn't shine nearly as brightly as they once did ( there was no one to create new galaxies for anymore. ) every night, she'd watch the stars she'd created for her father, her mother, the old friends she knew in nara, die slow deaths. soon, there would be nothing left in the world with her namesake on it and cordelia, all at once, found that to be a crying shame. call it her father's optimism finally rubbing off on her, or just simply finding it hard to keep lying to her now-widowed mother.

          she was going to find some friends . . . anyhow, anyway. if karma, the stars, the government, anything or everything was keeping an eye on her, she’d at least give them a worthwhile show.

BIOGRAPHY 

Margaret Zhang was born in a humble, upstairs flat in Camden, London. Her mother’s screams could be heard from the street, but Rita was as silent as a lamb when she entered the world. She would hear the retelling many times by her grandmother-- eyes like saucers, unblinking and astute, as though she had been waiting for this moment, knew it was coming, and couldn’t bear to delay her first glimpse at the world. Their flat sat above the family’s business, a portrait studio, and though they didn’t have much to their name the Zhang’s were overjoyed at the arrival of their small, plump daughter. 

Largely silent until the age of two, Rita’s father often had to ease her mother’s mind as the woman worried over their daughter’s development. The quiet, sharp-eyed baby grew into a reticent, and pensive girl.  Even at a young age it seemed that the child was lost in thought, floating somewhere just beyond reality, wondering about the whistling tea kettle, about the cars beyond the window, the flick of the cat’s tail, and the weather report on the television all at once. Her thoughts were scattered about, picking apart different details and examining them like their own separate mysteries. And when her mother would say her name, you could practically see the threads of thought gathering back together, tethering the girl once more. Rita lived inside her head. Her thoughts, curiosities, and dreams weaved an intricate web as if to ensnare anything that passed through her mind. She wanted everything-- yearned for extravagance, craved knowledge, thirsted for intrigue, ached for significance. But how to attain it?

Growing up, one of Rita’s favorite past times was helping her father in the studio, fetching batteries, a different lens, extra stools, ... whatever was necessary to gain those moments where she got to observe people. She’d watch them gently handle the new baby that was proving to be more work than either parent had signed on for, or watch as siblings bickered over the center, ruining multiple shots so that their mother delivered swift swats to the back of their ginger heads. In reality growing up as a British Asian came with challenges and hardships. Her mother held her head high when store clerks belittled her with slow speech or offensive imitations. Her father did well to catch the eyes of those who dared to stare or sneer on the Tube. Her grandmother, who never quite caught onto the English language, was spared the exact slurs that were muttered as they passed a group of teenage boys on the street, but the sentiment transcended speech. Kids were cruel and even Rita felt the flames of shame lick at her cheeks when Sarah McCormick loudly remarked upon the foreign smell of Rita’s Shuizu, or when Jeffery Louse announced that his father thought people like her didn’t belong in England. Humiliation, rage, injustice, and hurt are wonderful catalysts, C-4 placed at the base of a dam; it honed her vision, sharpening what had once been a soft, dreamlike quality to her desires. Rita would have a life that put everything at her fingertips, allowed her to say what mattered and what didn’t, things would not happen to her, she would make them happen.  

Her parents needn’t push her to excel, she wanted it for herself, needed it for herself, so the girl plunged herself into tuning her mental acuity. And when she didn’t have the means to make do on her own, the young woman dove into her treasure trove of manipulative skills. She read their body language, mimicked their energy, and picked apart their words to gain what she could from them. She used her imagination, knowing that if she reached far enough, jumped high enough, and let go of  how things should be done, that there was a world of endless possibilities and delights. It was this willingness to stray beyond the beaten path that blazed her through secondary school and propelled her to London School of Economics and Political Science. But when she arrived at university, Rita was hopelessly lost. She had spent so much time dreaming of different lives that she floundered when it came time to decide which direction to take. Having already chosen and thrown away the ideas of business and politics, Rita had recently turned to law when, by happenstance, she found War.

A colleague heard that a position had recently opened up in the accounting department for the company Bellum Nova. Rita had heard of it, of course, a name that garnered attention from news outlets, caught hers as well, and though Rita was learned in mathematics, she knew next to nothing about weapons manufacturing. Still, she applied, naive to the fact that the “open position” was in fact the role of a scapegoat in case reports were dragged into the blinding light of an interrogation room. Still, they used her for the legal proceedings of the company, and although the work was mundane and rather monotonous, Rita felt that Bellum Nova was the sort of place where things happen. 

And they did. It was a routine file submission, a cross examination of current assets, and the invoices presented to accounts receivable, the busy work they often handed down to her. But this time she noticed a discrepancy. Thousands of pounds missing from a single client. She double checked, triple checked, then, heart pounding in her chest, filed the invoice away like any other. No one had asked her to ignore it, in fact she never even mentioned it to her boss, but she was suspicious of what it meant. In the weeks to come more and more evidence of revenues being underreported trickled down between the numbers. She did the same equations over and over to be sure, finding again and again that the figures didn’t lie. It was simple to cover up, and with decisive fingers, she changed the dates on back up reports to align with requirement contract overages. She worked quickly, and without instruction, acutely aware that this wasn’t a simple case of oversight. One evening her boss stopped her on the way out. Bellum Nova, or rather War, was  in need of a capable accountant, and the illegal transactions in her possession were, more than anything else, a test of confidence and initiative, and, unlike the poor chap before her, Rita had passed. 

An angel, they called it. Funny name for a role that was a far cry from any celestial being. She remained a scapegoat, a fall man if anything should go awry, but now she had purpose. Changing her major to economics, Rita suddenly saw a dazzling future amidst the figures before her. She had come to understand long ago that there wasn’t a straight, honest line to what she wanted, and if it meant fudging numbers and forging invoices, she would do it. In fact, there was little she wouldn’t do. The thrill of it all engulfed her, and like Persephone she found herself trapped in an underworld she desperately adored. University taught her how to legally orchestrate finances for a global company, and War taught her the workings of a world of crime. She held her position at Bellum Nova throughout university, eventually gaining her initiation and a place among the Powers just months after she had graduated. 

In the years to follow Rita continued to learn about the weaponries industry, and what it required while continuing on for a certification in jurisprudence. Rita learned the law in order to avoid it, and where she had once prodded the line of right and wrong the woman now strode across the barriers, watching as her influence grew, her knowledge bounded, and her pockets grew heavier. She was as willing to carry out a delivery, as extort a politician, as to place her signature on a forged invoice. It was this dedication, along with her tenacity to retain what she learned, and her aptitude for problem solving  that put Rita in place for the role of Dominion. It was nearly a decade after joining that she ascended to the position. Some claim she only received the title because of Remus, that nepotism was as alive and well in War as any institution (legal or otherwise), but Rita knows how many hours she poured over textbooks new and old, how much blood she tasted in her mouth, how often she had berated herself over the details of her decisions. It might have been Rita alone that knew how much she really deserved it, but that was enough for her, and no one dared say otherwise to her face.

So I took a personality test to day and got the result of an Architect (INTJ) and for some reason Hawks just came to mind so I wondered, based on the Myers-Briggs classification what personality would he have? Also just out of curiosity, and you don't have to answer, but what would yours be? (I took the quiz on the website 16personalities)

Fantastic question, anon! Last I took the test a few years ago I was an INFP (The Mediator) myself which I think still largely applies. It can be easy to mistype yourself, let alone someone else, so I’m going to use evidence from the manga as much as possible and go through the individual traits one by one to see what I can find. I considered taking the test myself in character, but realized especially with how long the test is it could be easy to either overthink it or hyper-fixate on consciously or unconsciously preconceived traits, so I decided an evidence-based approach would be more accurate.

An important thing to know about Meyers-Briggs personality types is that they’re not all-encompassing, exclusive, or immutable. Some people have a tendency to make ill-informed preconceptions about people or treat it like a horoscope. This is the wrong way to apply a Meyers-Briggs personality type. They are insights to the instinctual way people are likely to act and perform and are only a tool to aid in things like working in a team, putting them on a path to personal success, and exercising emotional intelligence when interacting with them. Many people may still display a different “type” in different settings so I’ll be as cognizant of that as possible as I go through.

So with that, let’s get started!

Extroverted [E] or Introverted [I]?

This is a fantastic example of how preconceived notions  can completely mess up a characterization of someone as well as someone displaying a different type from what they might naturally display. Hawks is great with people, can work a crowd, and is a people-pleaser through and through. To many others, he would be a dead ringer for an extroverted. However:

In his own ideal world, Hawks has time to himself, to spend alone at home, doing whatever he wants freely. If he was an extrovert this dream might be a little more geared towards still being a top hero, but he’s said in so many words he wishes he was a little further down the ladder.

At this point I’d be remiss if I didn’t bring up that a false dichotomy of introvert/extrovert has developed over the years. Humans require interaction with other humans to stay healthy and they also require alone time. Too much or too little of either will give them problems over time. It’s a tad frustrating to me that this personality test requires an either/or answer since I thoroughly believe that Hawks enjoys human company and would naturally seek it out in his ideal scenario, just in greater moderation than he does now (which would make him more of an ambivert); but given the fact that at this point in time he seeks more opportunities for solitude, I’m going to answer that he lands, somewhat surprisingly in the Introverted category.

Observant [S] or Intuitive [N]?

This one is also tricky at first, but a deeper dive into their definitions gives us a pretty solid answer, I think. According to the website: 

“These traits describe what people are more likely to do with the information gathered from the world around them. Intuitive personality types rely on imagining the past and future potential of what they see. Those with the Observant style are more interested in observable facts and more straightforward outcomes. They prefer to avoid layering too much interpretation on what they see.“

So does Hawks take a complicated, theoretical approach to information he’s exposed to, or does he call it like he sees it? Does he act in the here and now, or is he more bigger picture?

While he’s actively working toward a definitive goal, he has a tendency to only focus on the information in front of him as it happens. Dabi’s going to release a super powered Nomu? Better get the best hero around to fight it. Need to infiltrate the League of Villains? Just hammer away at getting Dabi to trust him and open the door for him.

He tends to look at the road in front of him to figure out if he should go left or right, but doesn’t always seem to realize he could be being taken for a ride. In his section of the new character book, his relationship with Dabi is described as “they are using each other” (note the present continuous tense) meaning that Dabi is stringing along the number two hero for his own purposes, but Hawks seems to have no idea of it. Just his altercation with Dabi at the warehouse after High End is proof he’s too trusting of the information he’s given at face value.

He may have contingencies (such as holding onto the one feather), but they do not span very far and wide into the future depending on any way things go. It’s always, “If plan A doesn’t work, go to plan B” and never a step or two ahead of that or a consideration of other possible outcomes. Did he have a plan in case High End actually killed Endeavor? Based on his reaction, I don’t think he really thought that was a possibility even though in the end it almost happened and left him with a permanent scar.

This, to me, puts him safely in the Observant category.

Thinking [T] or Feeling [F]?

Hey, this one is actually easy! Hawks is incredibly intelligent, but he is far from rational. A good litmus test for this is to see how someone reacts to failure. A thinking individual will view an undesirable outcome as useful data for the future and possibly just a result of things beyond their control, but a feeling person will view the same as proof of inadequacy that needs to be remedied through personal improvement.

He consistently reacts to situations emotionally first. Even when Tokoyami really proved himself during his internship, it was an emotional response that changed his attitude towards training him and the next generation.

Even Endeavor describes him as,

Hawks has always been emotionally expressive, responsive, and driven. In his interactions with others, he displays a huge amount of emotional intelligence - you can see it in the way he ever so slightly adjusts his interactions with others based on the response to him and the outcome he’s looking for. He pauses for just a second to get a cool selfie perfect for a girl’s social media timeline, he’s polite and considerate carrying a little old lady’s bags up the stairs for her, and he appeals to a little boy’s sense of style and flair when asked to sign his bag. The way he and others feel at any given moment is almost paramount to him.

This is a trait I don’t see changing in his character over time unlike some of the others. He’s clearly a Feeling type.

Judging [J] or Prospective [P]?

This one I also think is easy to figure out. Basically, does he prefer a set, methodical schedule or is he a more spontaneous, spur of the moment person?

Yeah, this is Hawks we’re talking about. He’s shockingly adaptable and almost seems to fall into routine for the sake of others instead of his own sanity. Most of his decisions are made on the fly, and he’s known to improvise.

He’s more than capable of planning ahead, but prefers to operate as the wind blows which makes him a solid Prospective type.

Assertive [-A] or Turbulent [-T]?

For funsies, I just want to pop in and check in on this last trait since it’s here. Basically, all it asks is his confidence level and response to stress. I’ve more or less answered this earlier, but when encountering a situation potentially way over his head, he may outwardly display confidence and roll with the punches (his _S_P traits at work) but when it comes to results, especially failure, perfection and personal excellence are all that matter. I feel very confident classifying him as a Turbulent personality.

Final Results

So with that we get a final Meyers-Briggs personality type of ISFP-T which according to 16 Personalities is the Adventurer type personality.

Hello and I hope you are doing well, is it okay (despite the fact you probably have a bit of matchup requests) if I could get a matchup for BNHA if that is okay?

Okay so the essentials, I am Male (trans) and Omniromantic Asexual (male/masculine leaning), 5'6ish, Capricon, INTJ, in between thin and chubby, brown eyes, red hair up to the cab muscles (henna dyed). My personality is hard to explain, every person has a different opinion of me but the main things I hear are intemidating, empathetic, kind, a serious & calm, and intelligent? (But nah the intelligence part is really only in spanish lol). I'm increadbly insecure in myself. Almost to the point where it becomes self deprecating and self humorous but I almost become hypocritical when it comes to other people feeling insecure/taking care of themselves, I'm also a self sacrificing freak in a way. However on the lighter topic, I believe I'm a good friend! I would offer my advice, comfort, food, help in the clothes of my own back, because of this I may be considered naive and people may see me as being flirtatious even if I believe I'm beings good friend. But all of that goes to dirt if I or anyone I was close to were to be insulted, I keep my friends incredibly dear to me. One more thing about myself, I am a emotional and a animal empath that can become very emotional when it comes to seeing riots/movements and just seeing a cute pupper. When it comes to this sensitivity I can also get overwhelmed by large crowds and by loud noises, usually what helps me is being in the dark and being held/constricted by something/someone. I just like the dark, it's comforting to me and I use it to my advantage. Now onto my likes, I have an interest in witchcraft/the supernatural and celestial, and as being someone that believes that everything exists in it's own way I have an open mind to these things as well as a few unnatural experiences. I am very in tune with my emotions though I often struggle to display them outwardly so people sometimes call me a robot (also might be because I have a resting bitch face and I pretty quiet). I am introverted and pretty quiet until you know me. I am also very good at keeping my cool and not reacting to things outwardly even if it really angers me. I'm kind of the 'mum' of my friend group, and I always look out for them no matter what. For example, my friend has really bad anxiety so I used to always have to ask teachers questions for her. People often describe me as 'nice' and 'sweet' but since I grew up with an intj dad, I can be a bit manipulative sometimes without even realising. Like not in a bad way necessarily but I am very good at lying or sculpting situations to make me or my friends feel more at ease.

So I just scrolled the INTJ tab of Tumblr and what the heck??? Why are we characterised as cold and ruthless, as calculating monsters???

I am an INTJ, and I had a breakdown in front of my class when I was fourteen because I put so much work into my assignment and my file got corrupted and my presentation fell to shit.

I am a planner, not because I’m plotting to take over the world but because I want to be organised, because I despise doing things on the fly. I work alone because I work best on my own, because I plan and set goals and other people might not want to work to the guidelines I set for myself. I have each stage planned out to make sure I can do the task with time to spare.

As an INTJ, my life goal is to be successful. My dream in life is to be a successful YouTuber or author, and I plan to make sure my goals are realistic, that I have achievable steps along the way.

I come across as cold, but in reality I’m neck deep in a day dream about what I could do when I succeed in my ten-step plan to getting my YouTube channel off the ground and make my first video.

I have few friends, but that is because I’m quiet and happy in my own company, but the few that I have I would die for. I have spent forty five minutes on the phone - and I hate taking phone calls - comforting a friend after she received horrible news, and rewrote all of my plans for the next week in case she needed me.

People seem to think we don’t care about people. We do care. I care a lot, personally. Like I said above, the people who I care about I would die for. We’re introverts, so of course we have fewer friends. I have very few friends, and I’m happy like this because they’re not draining, they don’t send me into the Introvert Shut Down TM. 

I’m not emotionless. I cry in movies, I get angry and sad and frustrated. I love my friends and my family. I love my dog and the plant on my desk. I love my Superman mug. I love Supernatural and YouTube and I cried when Game of Thrones ended. I’ve made bad decisions in the past and reaped the punishment. I’ve lost friends and cried over them, I’ve cried from frustration and sadness and joy and laughter.

I have anxiety - specifically centred around time deadlines - and a strange phobia of decay and mould. I’ve had melt downs from being stressed. I walked in a Climate Strike. I donated my hair to a charity which makes wigs for children with cancer. 

I care. I have feelings.

I plan, and I scheme, not because I want to rule the world but because I want to make sure my goals are achievable, because I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to achieve my dream.

I don’t try to profit out of chaos and climb to the top. I sit to the side and watch in confusion as everyone scrambles because they’re all busy climbing to the top of the same totem pole while I’m trying to get the top of a completely different one and have already got my plan sorted for my next few moves to get my dream life into reality. I’m playing my own game to achieve my dream, because I don’t want what they want. Everyone’s after bachelor’s degrees and HDs, and I want to enjoy life and be happy.

To be honest, I’m still only at uni because I’ve already signed to stay at my boarding college for a year and can’t drop out now. That was a bad decision.

I stand by logic and reality and planning, and by that I mean before I jump into a plan I make sure I have a safety net. It means when my anxiety gets bad I can step back and analyse my situation to calm myself down. It means that before I do anything, I make sure it’s a good idea and that it’s what I want.

I’m not cold and emotionless. I’m cautious and I’m introverted. I want to make sure that I’m certain before I do anything. INTJ means that we plan, but we plan because we want to achieve our dreams, and often our dreams are so big that we have to set realistic goals to achieve them. Becoming successful takes planning, takes thought out goals and aims.

INTJs aren’t emotionless, world conquering robots. We’re dreamers, dreamers who plan to make our dreams our reality.
