Day 2 of @windbrook's Slashed CAS Challenge, Frederick "Fred the Dick" Luerger-Elmwood, the jock and second onscreen kill of the cast.
Gonna stay up late, lord of the dreams to some, nightmare of the other. Too bad your skills on the football fields and funny one-liners didn't help you when you were ambushed, slashed, and set on fire right?
Comment by an unknown student on the death of Frederick Luerger-Elmwood , the star quarterback of the Myers Reapers and a known victim of the Myers High Halloween Party Massacre.

"Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland" is a poem by the Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka, written in 1893. When creating the poem, the writer notes facts that can't be found in the works of other writers (such as Walter Scott or Robert Burns) and somewhat intersperses certain historical facts to give the work a more heroic sound. Thus, highlighting the struggle of the Scottish people for their independence, Lesya Ukrainka draws a parallel with the Ukrainian people, who also suffer from oppression (at that time by the Russian Empire).
Tumblr media
And perhaps I would never have paid attention to this work if it were not for the linocut of the Ukrainian graphic artist Heorhiy Malakov. I saw this very work in my childhood at my grandparents' country house. Looking at me from the wall of a half-darkened room, wrapped in the smell of dampness, this knight, unknown to me at the time, frightened me considerably (the glint on the lying glove always reminded me of a blade instead of a finger). It's interesting to watch how our childhood fears dissipate over time.
Tumblr media
Night hike. Illustration for W. Scott's novel Quentin Durward, 1972.

Malakov was very fond of the theme of chivalry and piracy, often depicting courtly scenes, feasts, entertainment and various funny skits. He also made illustrations for Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron, in the characters of which he reflected not only the cheerful mood of the stories themselves, but also his own life-loving nature.
Tumblr media
Selling barrel. Based on the Decameron by J. Boccaccio, 1966.
I spent insane amount of time photoshopping cover picture, but the colors are still weird e_e

The Great British Blorbo Off Begins Shortly....
Thanks everyone for waiting so patiently while I take my time sorting this all out! I'm pleased to announce that I've decided on everyone that will be in the tournament, and we will be starting next Monday (16th)! So, here's how it's going to work:
There are 128 characters overall, and I have split them into 4 brackets with two rounds each.
I will be posting 8 polls (1 round) a week, and will reblog them in the middle of the week and at the end of the week.
Once we get down to one character left from each bracket, they will go against each other in semifinals until only two are left.
Winner becomes the new queen of England <3
If anyone that submitted a character has a specific image of them they'd like me to use, feel free to send it over. If you've submitted a character from a book then I will just be using the front cover of the book they're from as their image, so let me know if there's a TV/film version or certain cover you'd like!

AN: I lied in my last AN, I do need to post this before @ardeney-sims posts this week. Mainly because Lauryn will have given birth by the next post I do. Also, in case you're wondering who everyone is, I'll put who's who below the cut.
The woman on the cover is a random sim, not an actual story character
Lauryn - we all know and love her. She's married to Tristen, Ryland and Blaze's brother and the CP of Druzar
Wendy - She is the sister in law to the current king of Axoiria. Neither she nor her children have royal stylings as her father in law, the former king, died before her wedding to Prince Robert.
Talia- She was featured once before. I did a magazine cover for her wedding to Eleazar Ingebretson. He is the cousin to Everly and Kiana.
Madilyn - aka baby wife aka Queen of Druzar
Audrina - Archer's twin sister, married to Eleanor's cousin, CP Brandan of Irenda
Sumi - The easiest relation to compare her is that she is married to Lord Marceau.  Marceau is Audrina and Archer's third cousin and very distantly related to the royal family. Sumi's mother in law is the current Duchess of Dorningen. Marceau will inherit ir after his mother's death.

Althorp House, Northamptonshire
Hi guys!!
I'm sharing Althorp House, the seat of Spencer Family. This is one of the most recognizable states in the UK, whose owners have a rich family history.
House History: A hamlet named Althorp existed here in medieval times, believed to have been situated on the southwest side of the park, east of West Lodge. It was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as having a population of ten at the time, and being part of the parish of Brington.
In 1469 John Spencer's uncle – also named John Spencer – had become feoffee (feudal lord) of Wormleighton in Warwickshire and a tenant at Althorp in Northamptonshire in 1486. The family's administration of their Northamptonshire and Warwickshire estates gained them admiration and a following throughout England, and their sheep-rearing business earned large profits.[12] After beginning construction of Wormleighton Manor the previous year with some 60 relatives, John Spencer bought Althorp in 1508 for £800 from the Catesby family.
King Charles I is documented to have visited Althorp during his reign. The drawing room was built and the main hall enlarged for the occasion, with £1,300 spent on the banquet, an exorbitant sum for the period.
Robert Spencer built the current house in 1688 and made a series of changes to Althorp park.

My Creepypasta but The Magnus Archives style AU
Okay so this is an old AU that I would like to explain and write, but my street cat is currently sick and he's requeiring all my time and energy and that's okay!
There'll be only character roles and AU explainations in this post.
Character roles and which TMA character they match;
Judge Angels//Alice "Daisy" Tonner, Police officer called upon to deal with paranormal cases
Nurse Ann//Annabelle Cane, Avatar of The Web
Zero//Basira Hussain, Police officer called upon to deal with paranormal cases
Vladimir and Zachary//Breekon and Hope, Mysterious deliverymen and servants of The Stranger
Slenderman//Elias Bouchard , Head of The Magnus Institute
Mary Vaughn//Georgie Barker, "Host of the What The Ghost?" podcast
Ben Drowned//Gerard Keay, Mary Keay’s son and acquaintance of Gertrude Robinson
Rouge//Gertrude Robinson , Former head archivist of The Magnus Institute
Nina The Killer//Helen Richardson, Real estate agent merged with the Distortion
Lulu//Jane Prentiss, Avatar of The Corruption
Masky//Jonathan Sims, Head archivist of The Magnus Institute
Clockwork//Julia Montauk, Hunter and daughter of Robert Montauk
Homicidal Liu//Jurgen Leitner, Collector of paranormal books
Hoodie//Martin Blackwood, Archival assistant at The Magnus Institute
Jane The Killer//Melanie King, Proprietor of the "Ghost Hunt UK" Youtube Channel
Laughing Jack//Michael Shelley, Gertrude Robinson's assistant who was merged with The Distortion
Laughing Jill//Nikola Orsinov, Plastic mannequin created from Joseph Grimaldi
Zalgo//Peter Lukas, Avatar of The Lonely and captain of the Tundra
Kate The Chaser//Sasha James, Archival assistant at The Magnus Institute
Trendderman//Simon Fairchild , Avatar of The Vast(edit:he's changed from Offenderman to Trenderman)
Ticci Toby//Timothy Stoker, Archival assistant at The Magnus Institute
Eyeless Jack//Trevor Herbert, Self-proclaimed vampire hunter
Notes;
-Creepypasta characters, which are the equivalent of The Magnus Archives characters, were selected without caring about gender and the character whose personality is the most similar with TMA role was replaced with creepypasta character.
-The terms like The Stranger, The Vast, The Spiral, The Buried and blah blah and being an avatar etc. will be explained in future as in the podcast.
-Although I'm trying not to go out of personality to a large extent, there will be many things that do not fit because this is a completely different universe.
-Most of the Creepypasta characters are not killers, and some external appearance features have been arranged accordingly. If you don't like it, you don't need to read it because it's an AU. It's that simple.
-This AU is set in London, just like the podcast.
-If there is a thing that you are uncomfortable with, just don't read it. TMA is a podcast series full of really interesting horror stories, and if you're feeling uncomfortable, it's quite normal but please don't push yourself too much.
- All statements in the 200 episodes will not be mentioned in this AU. Only as much of it as will help you understand the AU will be edited into the AU.
-The dialogue is not exactly the same as in the podcast, because it will vary depending on the characters, but the critical scenes may be the same.
-I think that's it, have fun.
-And for you to have a better idea, The Magnus Archives description;
"The Magnus Archives is a weekly horror fiction anthology podcast examining what lurks in the archives of the Magnus Institute, an organisation dedicated to researching the esoteric and the weird. Join new head archivist Jonathan Sims as he attempts to bring a seemingly neglected collection of supernatural statements up to date, converting them to audio and supplementing them with follow-up work from his small but dedicated team.
Individually, they are unsettling. Together they begin to form a picture that is truly horrifying because as they look into the depths of the archives, something starts to look back…"

Closed the nomination form! I made a list with all nominations by category! I'll accept suggestions of stuff to move around (change a character from minor to one of the other lists, but not the other way around cause the minor list is long enough). The Main Character list is a bit awkward with 18 characters, but I'm not really willing to move any away from it even if people might disagree? Unless I see a very strong argument.
the only nominations that didn't get in were the artifacts, since people voted for those to have their own poll later on!

We're 5 months into 2022 as of May 22nd. It's time for another look at just how fucked we are by checking in on
The Timeline
Elon Musk buys Twitter to own the libs. Wait actually he changes his mind. Maybe actually yes. Wait. What about all the bots? Maybe no. Lots of people are jumping ship
Eurovision happened. Something about banana wolves and pussy salad? Idk man, but Ukraine won
Square Enix sold a bunch of IPs for... NFTs. Like Deus Ex and Tomb Raider. For. NFTs.
BTW NFTs and crypto fell hard recently
BTW BTW, one of the biggest NFT guys behind those ugly monkeys tried to make a dating site for themselves, then called it off because of too many dudes
Speaking of dating, Dead By Daylight is making a dating sim called DBD Hooked on You, made by the same people that made the KFC dating sim. Now you can date your favorite serial killers and be the "I can fix him" girl you've always wanted to be
Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers came back in the weirdest possible way. Look aesthetics aside, I mean it when I say weird. Like Ugly Sonic makes an appearance weird. Like two characters got together that had no business getting together weird. Like Chip n Dale not sounding like Chip n Dale weird.
You know that bird that was in Lion King? Zazu? Yeah his species is going extinct. I thought it was a toucan or something but nah, thats a Yellow Billed Horn Bill, and climate change is wiping them out.
MCR is back- again! This time Measles didn't come with them
Unfortunately Monkeypox did. Yeah turns out it's was around before in 2003 or so, even 2021. Do some googling but try not to panic. There are treatments from the looks of things so we're already better off than we were with Covid, but educate yourselves on the matter to be safe, and don't brush off warnings.
Fairly Odd Parents has a live action Paramount+ series where Timmy leaves very 2d Cosmo and Wanda to some very not 2d and live kids when he goes off to college or something idk. Btw, Vicky works at the school now. Btw btw, Vicky has a crush on- go ahead and guess- no seriously try it you'll never get it- it's Crocker. Twitchy ass FAIRY god PARENTS ass ear on his neck ass Crocker. Yeah she was 16 during the regular show and he was still middle aged and yes this did come out of nowhere, why do you ask?
Digimon Survive survived development hell and is actually coming out in like 2 months, and seems like it might be a VN with Tactical RPG elements and a karma system- oh and teens will probably die, most definitely
Avatar actually put out a trailer for its new movie. No no not the fun one with the bald kid or buff tomboy- the one with blue people that have sex with their hair
Warner Bros really weren't joking when they decided to make a co-op Smash clone of characters like Batman, Arya Stark, Jake the Dog, and Ultra Instinct Shaggy. It's real. I swear I saw it. I stg Batman and UI Shaggy really fought against Bugs Bunny and fucking Arya Stark. I wish I was lying.
Kingdom Hearts 4 is announced, and Sora has gone down from a size 32 clown shoe to a size 13 as he steps into the most disturbingly realistic world in the franchise yet.
Oh and this was a couple of months back, but Robert Pattison and Zoë Kravitz were interviewed by a Vtuber named LaPlus (La+?) Darkness from the Japanese side of Hololive, where she asked him how he used the bathroom in the Batman suit, and he gave a fun answer. He actually looked happy
And to end it on a somewhat bittersweet note. Scrat finally got the nut. That fucked up squirrel from Ice Age that caused several natural disasters, broke the laws of physics, broke EARTH- he finally. Finally got his nut. His struggle is over.
Until we meet again

Hi! 😊 My name is Josephine, but I go by Joss.
I play the Sims 4, and I have a main Royal Family that I'm currently playing! 👑
These are my starter King & Queen! Their names were King Robert Simstasia (the name is made-up, obvs!) & Queen Eliza! They had 1 son, the Crown Prince Ludwig, who later became King when Robert passed away from old age. ⚰️
This account is mainly so I can follow my sims as they go, and I just like taking photos of my sims! ☺️

KEEPING UP WITH THE MANDRAGORANS
We are in the year FY 943. The war of the hundred years started two years ago, as a result of that many kingdoms fell apart, like the country Rhamdashar. Many of the former provinces became sovereign kingdoms. One that would achieve the highest notoriety of all was Malkier. It was a wonderfull country with a beautiful landscape and was especially known for its famous seven lakes.

Next to the lakes the Malkieri built with the help of the ogiers a big city which became known as "The Seven Towers", because of the seven towers that could be seen from afar and formed the cityscape. From this city the first king of the sovereign Malkier ruled. He was the former imperial governor and was named Shevar Jamelle.
Tomorrow: introduction of the first malkier king
