Fnaf Silver fox au, part one: Vanessa’s new friends
Finally putting the ideas into words, wish me luck. On mobile, sorry about formatting
Takes place after the pizzeria sim fire, during help wanted but before Vanessa is glitchtrapped
Context: 1) the scooper blueprint is labeled remnant injector and I thought “hey you know I don’t think Ennard would know how to use this thing” and now it’s become a running joke that Mike just got an entire 4 litre canister of remnant dumped directly into his body. Hijinks of course ensue. 2) after fnaf 3 but before pizza sim, Michael built a grey fox animatronic with a highly advanced ai system as a companion and helper, affectionately naming him Silver. Silver is functionally sentient but is not possessed. After the pizzeria sim fire, Silver hung around the wreckage and was picked up and repaired by Vanessa. He proceeded to tell Vanessa the entirety of the Afton family story, which is how Nessa learns about everything.
Vanessa is struggling to cope with this weird glitch in the game she’s testing and goes out for a walk to try and clear her head
However, instead of tranquility, what she finds on her walk is a very distressed, very disoriented British guy in a noticeably charred outfit in an alleyway next to the burned out wreckage of an old pizza joint.
He’s looks like he’s in his twenties (around her own age), has a concerning number of scars, and his hair is entirely white. He also seems very upset that he is, in fact, alive “again”. He introduces himself as Michael but declines to give a surname.
Vanessa, deciding she doesn’t have enough weird shit going on, takes this strange man home with her.
Silver is extremely excited upon seeing him, confirming that, yes, this is indeed Michael Afton.
Nessa and Michael actually hit it off and she decides that she is once again going to keep the stray fox she found in the ashes.

hey, how did you make different sections for your blog? Can't figure it out, I'd like to divide up my posts so my main page isn't messy. Thanks!
Hi Nonny! I am not entirely sure what you mean by this so I will give a bunch of general tips below. If this doesn't cover it or you want something expanded on, feel free to let me know!
Tips to keeping your blog neat & tidy!
Let me start off by saying it is your blog. Make it as messy as you want. However there are a few things you can do to make posts easier to see and read for yourself and your followers.
Tagging
Tag your posts. All of them. Have a different tag per save, story, gameplay, have one for asks, have one for reblogs. Have multiple tags! Tags galore!!! All of this will let you filter your posts to just the ones you want to see. If you tag every post with just "ts4" then you will not be able to find anything.
Example: Two of my saves have the individual tags "NSB" (for Not So Berry) and "Princess Legacy" but then I break them down even further by doing "NSB Gen 1" & "NSB Gen 2" so viewers can choose to view the project as a whole or just to search through one Gen.
Banners
This is ABSOLUTELY OPTIONAL but it makes your posts stand out from each other if you give each story/gameplay/save their own banner. It doesn't have to be extravagant. It can just be a color. Or even a pattern.
Example:
NSB
Princess Legacy:
You can absolutely steal the dimensions of these banners (aka save them right from this post) to create your own.
Use Your Queue
One of the easiest ways to organize your blog is to organize your queue! If you have a lot of stories or posts, try to limit when/what days you are posting them so it looks more consistent on your blog.
Example: In a perfect world where I have consistent content this is also referenced in my timezone which is PST: NSB posts go up at 6 AM every WEEKDAY - I manually schedule these Gameplay posts (whatever gameplay I am currently into as this changes) 3 times a day on the hour every weekday 11 AM-1PM - this is my normal queue set up Reblogs of others post - Weekends, 3 times a day as my normal queue is set up for
When I was doing really well with content, I would queue up 15 posts of gameplay (3 posts a day for 5 days) then go into the sims tag and throw 6 reblogged posts into my queue. Then start over again so I could queue up months in advance.
Using this method for myself makes my blog feels more structured to me. It's just for my own peace of mind and keeps me more organized.
Blog Themes
One of the best creative flex this site offers you imo. You can customize your blog theme to make it fit what you want.
There are a TON of blog themes over theme-hunter. This must be done from desktop and is only for desktop. It cannot be changed via mobile. If you check out theme-hunter, go to the top right "MORE" button. If you are looking for a main page theme, search through the "All-In-One" tag. If you are looking for a story page like i have to showcase all your stories together, I usually look through the "Family/Favorites/Characters" tag.
Now this does require a very BASE knowledge of coding, which I cannot get into in this post. It's a bit of work. Start with a simple theme until you get it down.
PRO TIP: Make a private side blog for just yourself where you can test out the themes. That way if you break the code it doesn't break your main blog. Once the code is ready on your private blog, then you can just copy/paste it onto your main!
HERE is a quick guide on how to add a tumblr theme. If you have never done it before, it's a bit of a learning curve, but honestly it's sooo satisfying once it's done.
Example: The codes for the current pages I am using can be found below: Main Theme: [X] Story Page [X]
Customizing Your Blog
Putting this all together!
Your new story pages and blog pages can include links to the specific tags you are using on your posts! It's how others can find you content so it's organized!
So let's look at this tab on my blog:
This is part of my blog theme. I change it out to update whatever my blog is currently showcasing! It's part of the custom page and me going into the code to manually change it.
If you were to click any of the "Start" tabs (for the ones that have them) they would take you to the URL for the tag itself:
samssims.tumblr.com/tagged/nsb+gen+1/chrono [tumblr url] / [the word TAGGED to show you are searching the tag] / [the tag itself with + signs for spaces] / [the word CHRONO just means it will start at the beginning of the tag, useful for stories]
NOTE: These URLs only work on desktop/mobile browser. They do not work on the tumblr app.
Conclusion
And that's just a little bit about organizing your blog. But honestly it's your space. Just like your room IRL, you keep it the way you like it! This system works for me! If it helps you find your flow then I am happy to help!

6 Digital Privacy Myths Debunked: How to Really Stay Safe Online - Technology Org

6 Digital Privacy Myths Debunked: How to Really Stay Safe Online - Technology Org
The internet is evolving every day, even in ways that we can’t see. This is because global communities of hackers are making greater advancements in the world of malware. International cybersecurity firms and government agencies do their best to detect and respond to cyberattacks, but it’s up to individuals to protect themselves as well.

The best place to start is by ensuring you’re operating with all the right information. But there are a lot of dangerous myths and misconceptions out there about cybersecurity. If you’re building your digital privacy strategy on a foundation of fallacies, then you could be vulnerable to hacking activity without even knowing it.
That’s why we’ll be debunking six of the most common digital privacy myths today.
1. Using a private browser provides a private connection
Just because you’re using incognito mode doesn’t mean you’re really incognito. Contrary to popular belief, private browsers can still maintain details of your browsing history. How so? Although a private browser doesn’t save cookies or your browser history, it does maintain DNS data storage. This means that hackers may still be able to tap into your DNS storage to see what sites you visited. Yes, even on a private browser.
The most secure way to ensure you’re not being tracked is to use a tracker blocker. This is a nifty digital tool that helps prevent third-party web trackers from following you from page session to page session. Alongside bolstering your digital security, tracker blockers can also reduce the number of targeted ads you see online. This is ideal for anybody looking to browse with zero distractions and greater peace of mind.
2. Investing in just one cybersecurity measure will keep you safe
Does your front door have one or two locks? Chances are that many of us have both a key-access lock as well as a deadlock. Yes, that deadlock may not be necessary 99% of the time, but it sure does provide peace of mind. Cybersecurity measures work the same way.
Only relying on one cybersecurity measure is the same as putting all your hopes into one lock. But with enough determination, any lockpicker can surpass one security measure. So make sure there’s another barrier or two in place to ensure they don’t get to experience that instant gratification.
It’s recommended that you invest in at least 2-3 of the following digital security measures:
Antivirus software
VPN
Firewall (for your home/office network)
Password manager
Alongside these cybersecurity measures, it’s also imperative that you set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) on all your digital accounts. This ensures that hackers will need more than just your password to access your accounts. They will also need access to your email address or mobile phone number. And they’re less likely to have access to your inbox or SMS text messages.
3. Public WiFi networks are secure if they’re password-protected
Accessing the web while you’re travelling can always feel tricky. Even if you’ve invested in an international or local SIM, it’s still not ideal to rely on hotspotting everywhere you go. You just won’t have enough mobile battery to last you across the day. And whilst it may be tempting to connect to your hotel WiFi, sadly, there’s still no guarantee that it’s safe to do so, even if it is password-protected.
This is because hackers can do clever things like set up duplicate networks with the same credentials nearby. If you log into the wrong network, you could risk all of your user and device data falling into the wrong hands.
Similarly, some hackers may even be monitoring genuine hotel or restaurant/cafe WiFi networks. All they need is to have booked a room or a table once to gain access to the network password. Simply put, the network may be password-protected, but you don’t know who can access those credentials.
When in doubt, just rely on your hotspot connection. Or better still – use a VPN to make sure that your network connection stays encrypted and secure. That way, you can access the internet while on the go without sacrificing your digital safety or your phone’s battery life.
4. Only IT professionals are responsible for maintaining cybersecurity measures
Did you ever hear the story of a corporation brought to its knees by an administrative worker bringing in a USB she found in a car park? The simple act of plugging in this USB (which turned out to be a rubber ducky) allowed hackers to gain front-door access to that company’s data. It’s much harder to stop a cyberattack when you’ve welcomed it into the building.
Because of this, IT professionals have been encouraged to spearhead cybersecurity education initiatives in businesses. Yes, your IT team is responsible in that they have information to share. But once that information is shared and you’re well aware of your company’s cybersecurity policies, it’s up to you to do your part. Cybersecurity is a shared effort, and without every user and device on board, there will be cracks in your home or office network that opportunistic hackers can take advantage of.
5. Devices are safe from cyberattacks when they’re offline
As we mentioned above, even plugging in connected hardware can invite malware onto your devices. So, do away with this myth entirely because it’s been busted long ago! Hackers can upload malicious software and spyware onto a range of connected devices. This includes external storage drives (i.e. USB sticks and hard drives) and CDs.
Even if your device is offline, hackers can still find ways to expose your devices to spyware that allows for remote monitoring. If their monitoring systems don’t work online, they can lay in wait until your device does connect to the web again. At that point, your hacker can take total remote control over your device.
So keep an eye out for any suspicious hardware or even software packages that look like they may be plagiarised or pirated. These hardware and software offerings can mask viruses like Trojan Horses, which can wreak havoc on your devices, whether they’re online or offline. It all depends on what code they’re programmed to run.
6. Hackers only target big companies
Lastly, if you believe that cybercriminals only go after whales, then you’re sorely mistaken. Although there are hackers out there who focus on hunting ‘whales,’ there are still tens of thousands more out there who go after little fish. Think about it – by widening your net, you can ensnare more victims. Securing financial or other valuable personal data from 200 people could likely provide a similar profit to securing data from a big company.
This is especially true if those 200 people haven’t invested in their cybersecurity measures. So don’t make yourself an easy target! With just a few dynamic security measures in place (i.e. a VPN and 2FA or MFA), you can make your accounts ‘not worth the hassle’ and prompt hackers to look for lower-hanging fruit.
A Few Final Words
How many of these digital privacy myths have you known to be debunked yourself? And are there any that took you by surprise? If so, then now is the perfect time to assess your cybersecurity measures and see how you can improve your digital safety.

Knightstone Household: Chapter 6, Part 3
Adam is being an A+ father, Suzanna really wants a second child, infant Silas evolves into toddler Silas.
Thanks to Adam looking after Silas at night Suzanna is able to get up at her normal weekday time. Before starting her shift she makes sure to tend the garden, then upgrades things to pass the time. She discovers she is a Green Fiend, must be the green appliance upgrades.
Since it's time for Silas to age up Adam makes him a cake, and fits in a workout, before waking him.
Adam: Good morning you
Silas: hi hi pop
Adam: What shall we do today then?
Silas: Fun fun
Adam: Okay my dude, let's start with a book huh
Silas: bok bok time
Adam: Come here son
Silas: *flails*
Adam: Keep trying buddy, I know you practiced with mummy
After some trial and error Silas manages to advance from a scoot to a crawl. Not one to drop the ball, Adam keeps working with him and soon enough Silas pulls himself into standing
Despite the success with Silas, angry moodlets are stacking up for hot headed Adam. He tries to get some writing done but can't focus. Meanwhile Silas enjoys his last nap on the infant mat with the sunlight pouring in. Adam eventually channels his feeling into an angry painting.
Despite his mood, when Suzanna gets home Adam reveals the cake. Silas is excited but Suzanna has to help him blow out the candles, his lungs are still tiny after all. Silas spun the cheerful trait, and blue joins purple as a favourite colour for later on.
The family sit down to eat the cake and a bubbly Silas blows Suzanna a kiss.
Suzanna: Thank you starshine. Adam did you see that?
Adam: See what?
Suzanna: Silas blew me a kiss
Adam: That's my son, dialing up the charm when he's just two
Suzanna: Are you saying he gets the charm from you?
Silas: pop pop kiss mummy
Adam: See. Clearly he has seen my skills
Suzanna: Do you like the cake Silas?
Silas: Me food love
Adam: Is he going to speak like yoda forever?
Suzanna: Give him time, it's only just his birthday
Silas: Birthday
Suzanna: Yes, you're 2 or around 2. It is hard to track properly before you're a child
Adam: Pops is 33, mummy is 32
Silas: 3 too?
Suzanna: He doesn't know single digits yet, let's not jump start him on doubles
Adam: He'll have your smarts, I know it
Suzanna: This is your potty, it's like a small toilet
Adam: Is he meant to be sitting on it though
Suzanna: There are no animation distinctions for toddler gender
Adam: Got it
Silas may only be level 1 but he had a successful first time, look how cute his happy dance is!
Adam: Okay champ, night night time
Silas: Night night time
Adam: Hey you learned the words, that's awesome my dude
Silas: Night night
Adam: Goodnight son, pops and mummy love you very much, have fun flying the galaxy in your dreams
Adam: He's learnt how to say night properly. Why do you look sad?
Suzanna: I'm still not pregnant yet
Adam: Starlight, we had Silas. It'll happen eventually
Suzanna: I just want him to have a sibling
Adam: And he will. Whenever you give birth in 9 months or 9 years he will be one
The next morning I realise I forgot to fix the plants when I loaded the game so Suzanna is stuck with many dirt piles. It's 6am and Silas is up! He's got the early riser trait. No problem in this house as his parents usually get up early for exercise and chores.
It appears that Silas wants to go sing a song to Suzanna. I'm never too sure how talking while a sim is gardening happens, some talk seems to work and some doesn't. It seems like sing a song doesn't so Silas stands patiently, looking adorable, waiting to sing.
Adam: What are you doing out here son?
Silas: song song
Adam: Sorry but the mobile is attached to your crib, I don't think it works on toddler beds
Silas: I song
Adam: Let's have some breakfast
Silas: Mummy?
Adam: Yes mummy will come to
Suzanna: Oh good there's some eggs left
Silas: da la da
Adam: Is he short circuit-ing
Suzanna: He's a toddler not a computer
Silas: da do la
Adam: But if he's already saying proper words why is he switching back to babbling
Suzanna: Are you tone deaf
Adam: What do you mean
Suzanna: He's singing
Silas: da la do da star star
Adam: Oh, you trying to sing twinkle twinkle?
Silas: wink da la star
Suzanna: I think he's singing to his own beat
Silas has the Little Singer Quirk and oh my gosh this is too darn adorable!
Silas: Aliens!
Adam: We are son, that's why we have disguises
Silas: Dis guys
Suzanna: Do you want to try yours on?
What do you know, much like toddlers cannot change outfits in the high chair, Silas needs to be on ground level before he can put on his human disguise
Silas is still learning the concept of human disguises, creating them and changing them can be tricky. His birthmarks don't match up but that's part of the trick. He decides to have a play with the make up set to see if he can make himself look even more like a human.
I give this attempt, 12 out of 10. All key make up is included and artistically placed. Go Silas! Today I can follow Suzanna to work since Adam is also working and Silas will go to daycare rather than relying on AI to not starve him.
Moment of truth and... the invention constructor is indeed fixed for me! No more holograms and dust clouds around my sim. After building another satellite Suzanna calibrates the wormhole generator, and dreams of when she can reach Sixam.
One of her work tasks is to give a colleague an untested serum. Try as I might Faye does not want to test any of the 3 on hand. Not one to shy away from a challenge Suzanna goes and makes a brand new one for her. Unfortunately Faye just does not trust her enough to try it...
Luckily Shelly seems to be willing to try Suzanna's serum. The ghost goo proves effective and Shelly becomes transparent and maybe a bit uncomfortable. Suzanna has smaller tasks for the rest of the work day, and scores a promotion to Mad Scientist!
Back home Adam gets Silas ready for dinner while Suzanna takes another pregnancy test. Despite trying again last night she is still not pregnant. But I know what might cheer her up, hearing Silas sing! Also how great is it that toddlers can't realistically throw the peas everywhere?
Adam: Congratulations on the promotion starlight
Suzanna: Thank you. I made you a satellite at work today, you can use it to stop alien abductions
Adam: Sweet
Suzanna: What did you do today starshine
Silas: Daycare fun, big fun, make pretty
Suzanna: You want to go to sleep in your disguise?
Silas: Dis guys pretty, pops clean pretty
Suzanna: You still look beautiful to me. Now where did we get up to
Silas: Dino rawr rawr
Suzanna: Let's go from here shall we
The sound of Suzanna's voice charms Silas to sleep

It's all Simlish to me
Collaboration with Emma Fringuelli
In defense of ‘The Sims 4’
Fringuelli:
I, unlike many players of the “Sims” games, hopped on the bandwagon pretty late.
The numbers on my Electronic Arts account might make you think I have been playing “The Sims” for years, since I have racked up more than 300 hours playing the game, but in reality, I have not even had the game downloaded for a full year.
My first time playing “The Sims” was after my family won an iPad in a raffle. My sister and I downloaded the free mobile version of “The Sims.” The limited version of the game meant less customization, fewer functions, and altogether less fun.
We deleted the app pretty quickly.
Flash forward nearly 10 years later, and I realized that “The Sims 4” was free — and available on Mac computers.
Once I downloaded the game, I got the satisfaction the mobile version lacked. It was everything I had hoped “The Sims” would be.
The graphics, though not lifelike, are enough to get me immersed in the lives of the silly little digital people I control.
At the end of the day, that is the point: losing myself in the game.
I play “The Sims” not because I have a memory of the crunchy, harsh graphics of the 2000s. I don’t long for certain functions in the earlier games because I never played them.
I play “The Sims” because right now, I can control things in the game that I cannot control in my own life. You will not find me buying a giant mansion, becoming a secret agent, or risking my life fixing an oven in the real world. But in “The Sims 4,” I can do all that and more with little to no consequence.
And when there are consequences, they sure are funny.
Picture my shock when I find one of my sims trying to repair a radio while standing in a puddle of water, only for him to be electrocuted and die. When pleading with the Grim Reaper to spare him failed, I turned to a trick: reloading the game and trying again. The sim returned to the broken radio and puddle, and he swiftly got zapped and died again. So I reloaded the game again — and gave up on the radio.
Electrocute me once, shame on you. Electrocute me twice, shame on me.
There is also the side of “The Sims” that lets me live out my fantasy of being an architect. In the real world, I have to bear witness to McMansions with gorgeous front facades and a hodgepodge of asymmetrically placed windows on the other three sides.
In “The Sims,” though, I can channel my frustration into something a scintilla more productive. I can make houses the way they should be: with symmetrical windows and shutters that make sense.
I also get to see the creativity of people who are somehow more into “The Sims” than I am and all the custom features that they create — often for free — for other users. From in-game furniture to whole new modified gameplay features, these people are way more creative and technically advanced than I am.
What my enjoyment of “The Sims 4” boils down to is the essence of the “Sims” franchise. I get to simulate a life that is more grand, more chaotic, and more outrageous than my own. It is an opportunity to focus on stuff that truly does not matter.
In a world that demands our attention at every waking moment, I know when I fire up “The Sims 4” that I can spend a while obsessing over decorating a kitchen, getting my sim that promotion, or trying to figure out why all the babies and toddlers look so weird.
I can get back to my real-world issues later, just let me marry Eliza Pancakes first.
The problem with ‘The Sims 4’
Valente:
“The Sims” franchise holds a very special place in my heart. The original was released in 2000, but I didn’t learn about it until 2001, when I would watch my older brother play on the family PC. To my young eyes, it was one of the coolest games I had ever seen. You get to create your own person, build your home, and control what they do in their day-to-day lives. It was like creating your own sitcom or movie. Although my parents did not allow me to play it for quite a while due to some of the violence and adult themes in it, that didn’t stop me from waking up an hour or two before everyone else in the house and sneaking to the computer to get my “Sims” fulfillment. After some convincing, my parents allowed me to play the game without having to go behind their backs. (Eventually, I was caught when the computer froze and my dad came downstairs before I could unplug the machine).
A memory I hold dear is my birthday in 2003 when my now-late grandfather gifted me “The Sims: Makin’ Magic.” I’m sure I found it especially cool because Harry Potter was quite the rage at the time and I was a superfan of the franchise.
In 2004, “The Sims 2” was released into the world. I can’t fathom how many hours I spent playing the game, and how much money my parents spent buying different expansion packs during the following five years of the game’s life. Although “The Sims” was quite innovative for the time, as it was really the first life-simulation game, “The Sims 2” further expanded the genre and you could tell the team that put the game together put a lot of work into it.
With the success of “The Sims 2,” Electronic Arts had to follow up with something big. In 2009, “The Sims 3” was released, and it was just that. Although I found the sims themselves to be ugly, even back then, the team took what was great about the first two games and built upon it. I was impressed with the innovation and advancements that EA had made.
Now, I don’t want to say I hate “The Sims 4,” but I’m not the biggest fan. When it was announced in 2014, I was thrilled by the prospect. With how much the games had grown and built upon themselves with each title, I was excited to see what EA would bring to the table. At the time, I was a junior in high school. I was only working during the weekends at McDonald’s and I wasn’t making that much money, but I decided to splurge and buy the Digital Deluxe Edition of “The Sims 4” out of pure excitement.
On release day at 12 a.m., I excitedly started my computer and opened up the game for the first time. I created my sim, built them a snazzy house, and began to play. Ten minutes into the game, I was sitting there and wondering… What is this? It felt lifeless, dull, and uninspiring. I exited the game and forgot that it even existed for the next three years.
Does the game look pretty? That’s subjective, but I believe so. Did they improve in some areas, like sim customization and lot-building? Sure. But the game was a big downgrade when it came to gameplay and overall entertainment. “The Sims 4” feels like a mix of the first “Sims” and “The Sims 2,” but without the charm and personality. I love those two games and go back to play them from time to time, but I don’t want the newest and latest game in the franchise to feel like it was released almost 20 years ago. A lot of long-time “Sims” players felt the same way and decided to stop playing the game altogether.
A lot of new players might enjoy “The Sims 4”, but a lot of them never got to experience the previous “Sims” titles, as EA does not make them easy to access. I feel if they were able to play them, they would realize how much of a downgrade “The Sims 4” truly is. I’m sure EA doesn’t care that much since the company knows a lot of “Sims” players are dedicated and won’t leave the franchise behind, instead hoping it improves. Not only that, but EA essentially has a monopoly on the life-simulation genre, as there is little to no competition to be had.
I still hold out hope that the “Sims” franchise will return to its glory — if not for the fans, than for the competition. One game in particular that is set to release in the near future is “Paralives,” a life-simulation game that has a lot of “Sims” fans wondering if it is time to leave the series behind. Perhaps a little competition will drive some innovation, and less laziness, to keep fans on the side of “The Sims.” Only time will tell.

The Evolution of eSIM Cards: A Revolution in Connectivity
In our increasingly interconnected world, mobile communication has become an integral part of daily life. The introduction of the SIM card decades ago revolutionized the way we use mobile devices, allowing us to connect with others seamlessly. However, as technology advances, so does the need for more efficient and flexible solutions. Enter the eSIM (embedded SIM) card, a revolutionary concept that is transforming the telecommunications industry and redefining how we connect.
The Birth of eSIM: The eSIM card, also known as an embedded SIM or eUICC (embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card), was first proposed in 2010 by the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association). It aimed to replace the traditional physical SIM card with a programmable, non-removable chip built directly into the device. This innovation promised to eliminate the need for physical swapping of SIM cards, making it more convenient for consumers.
How eSIM Works: Unlike conventional SIM cards that store data on a removable plastic card, eSIM cards are integrated into esim asia the device's hardware during manufacturing. The eSIM is remotely provisioned with the necessary network information, such as carrier data, authentication keys, and other profiles. This remote provisioning allows users to switch between carriers or add new plans without having to physically change the SIM card.
Advantages of eSIM: a. Greater Convenience: The most apparent benefit of eSIM cards is their convenience. Users can add or switch between different carriers and data plans with a few taps on their devices, eliminating the need to acquire and install a physical SIM card.
b. Flexibility and Global Coverage: Traveling internationally becomes more straightforward with eSIM cards. Users can choose and activate a local carrier's plan without having to purchase a new physical SIM card or rely on costly roaming services.
c. Space-Saving Design: With no need for a physical SIM card slot, manufacturers can use the saved space to incorporate more advanced features or increase the battery size.
d. Enhanced Security: eSIM cards use built-in security features that protect against unauthorized access and make it more difficult for criminals to clone or intercept the SIM data.
Adoption and Challenges: While eSIM technology has seen substantial adoption in recent years, it still faces challenges. One significant hurdle is the slow acceptance from carriers and device manufacturers, as transitioning to eSIM requires a significant investment in infrastructure and software updates. Additionally, not all devices and carriers support eSIM, limiting its universal adoption.

I adore your sims and the way you create narratives. They're all wonderful and your style is so gorgeous. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for more realistic details, like scars, cuts, burns, just any sort of thing along those lines. Finally gave in to the urge to ask after seeing your post captioned "Family Lineage".
Your sims are so alive, the last sim is so cool and i love how you embrace features.
Do you have go-to creators for those sort of details, or are there any sliders or any specific cc pieces you recommend? I'm not sure what to really call those sort of features, 'imperfections' doesn't feel right to me, they are a part of oneself and they deserve love too! So I hope this makes sense?
I love creating stories and making ocs. I want to bring more diversity into my sims. I hope you have a wonderful day sorry if this is a lot and thankyou so much in advance if you decide to help out, take care <3
first off, thank you for being so kind. i do spend a lot of time toiling away in cas when i'm making sims, so i appreciate you for saying that. just a lot of love from me to you <3
okay, so as for recommendations... i'll just start this off by saying that my skin details folder alone is 45gb... so. there's honestly too much for me to rec everything, but i've got my mods folder open right now so i'll just go through the main contributors here.
this got a little long so i'll put a little read more here to save the mobile users some grief fkhnkfjh
as just like a general baseline for cc, i'd download everything from @obscurus-sims, @sims3melancholic, @ddarkstonee, and @northernsiberiawinds. these are my favorite skin detail creators and i promise you every single sim i make is guaranteed to have at least one piece of their cc on. i won't mention them in the recs from here on out, but they all have some of what you're looking for!!
then i'd download the color slider mod before getting into the actual skin details themselves, because there's still a lot of cc that doesn't have appropriate color swatches for darker skintones and i have to use the color slider mod more than i'd like in order to get scars or other cc of that nature looking right.
now okay, so for realism i'd say you're going to want to download wrinkles, eyebags, veins, body overlays, and facial structure overlays. most of my realism cc is from faaeish....... but well. you know what happened there. i don't know if there's an archive of all their old cc, but if there is you'll want to download decades, chubby cheeks, and structure. nolansims, gerbitshi (nesurii), and simulationcowboy have some good wrinkle cc! and i really like using okruee's misc. skin detail cc for the last few swatches which add wrinkles. nell has some face veins i like to use on my older sims to add to the look of thinning skin as they age. sammi-xox and moonchildlovesthenight are for body overlays—so like, if you have a fat sim with a skin on that you like but the skin is just, like, supernaturally jacked for no reason, you can use one of their overlays to fix that. thank god. my facial structure folder is full of remussirions' blushes and contours as well as goppolsme and nesurii!! marigolde and mari have good stretchmark cc. OH!!! and download acne cc! breezytrait's acne scar cc is actually REALLY good for giving the effect of pores and aging skin. i used it on matthias's father!
as for scars, burns, birthmarks, etc.! with scars i just googled scar cc and downloaded everything even if the previews looked bad lmao. but nell is my main creator for scars. they make the best scar cc hands down and i might be misremembering, but i'm pretty sure their scar cc works very well with the color slider mod. pyxis and redearcat also are all over my scars folder. if you've seen alessandria, she's literally covered in redearcat's scar cc. mintyowls has really good eyebags and birthmark overlays. adelarsims and pinkpatchy have some body prosthetics and limb mesh edits i like, though they're not very functional </3
onto face sliders!! definitely gonna recommend the face asymmetry slider by luumia (i like to use this veeeery subtly but go wild with it if you want), the esotropia and exotropia slider by obscurus as well as their eyebrow slider which allows you to disrupt the symmetry of them, the thicc slider by hiland which adds fat under the chin, the mouth scale slider by teanmoon for bigger and fuller lips bc fr what was ea thinking with their lip slider, and dani-paradise's cheek slider!
#river dipping#asks#anonymous#keep#resources#wcif#...? just gonna use this tag in case anyone else is looking around my blog to find some recs tho this isn't really a wcif#also while answering this i realized there's two other messages in my inbox that i just completely missed bc of all the spam#that i got the other day which i still haven't cleaned out....... i'm so sorry fdjhbdkjgfnhjkdfhg WILL GET TO THOSE SOON I PROMMY#i wish i could be more thorough but i'm so serious my skin details folder is crazy kjfdhnkdjfgnh olli's seen it like. i'm v serious abt it#i really wanna sit down and just record a video of me making a sim to show how i do it since i've been asked abt it before....#i really don't think i do anything crazy it's just that i layer a lot and i fill out every single slot i can#anyway this took forever to answer soz

Interactive Fiction to Look Out For On Itch.io
itch.io is a trove of interactive fiction games, visual novels, and kinetic novels of all types, and I’ve run into a good handful that I think are worth highlighting (and playing again myself!)
Many of these I haven’t finished yet due to the sheer amount of content or because I went for the ending I wanted straight away, but I’d love to finish them thoroughly and perhaps review some of them in the future.
A couple notes! First, it’s been a while since I’ve played some of these games, and some of them I haven’t seen all of the paths. I try to give warnings where needed, but my warnings might not be complete as I don’t know absolutely everything in each game. Please check the games’ pages and look after yourself!
Secondly, many of these are available free, and some are for sale at a low minimum price, but I encourage you to supporter the writers, artists, composers and developers in any way you can, whether that’s giving them a follow, donating, or just leaving a nice comment. Supporting indie creators is a huge part of what this blog is about so give back to those who create things you love! Now let’s get into the list!
Visual Novels:
Hikeback is a horror visual novel about hitchhiking, time loops, and murder. It gives a lot of incentive to keep playing and replaying, as the story advances almost every time you start again, with new choices and details being revealed as it all unravels. This game is incredibly engaging and beautifully written, and lives up to the promise of time loops and meta game mechanics. I recommend this for anyone who wants a good spooky, existential story. Be warned of loud noises, jumpscares, glitch effects, blood and violence, abuse, and themes of self harm, suicide, and depression. The itch.io pge has a list of content warnings as well as a full spoilery breakdown of warnings if you need them. You can find Hikeback on itch.io here!
Nothing to Say is a Visual Novel dating sim where you go on a date with Zoe, a girl you really like. The only problem is you’re very, very nervous. In this smart little game, you’ll be limited in how many letters you can use to express yourself, and you’ll have to unlock further dialogue options by getting to know Zoe, being honest with her, and being cute together. You’ll only earn letters from dialogue options once, encouraging you to explore more dialogue each playthrough until you get all the options to fully tell Zoe how you feel. Nothing to Say is playable here on itch.io!
Text-Interactive:
The Three-Body Problem is a queer romance interactive fiction about celestial witches living in a dark, magical wood when they encounter a young stranger. It features a nonbinary character, a potential polyamorous relationship, and healthy dom/sub dynamics. I found this story sweet and charming, with likable characters and pretty, easy to follow story writing. The Three-Body Problem deals with themes of abuse in a compassionate manner, and is in large part about healing and finding people with whom you are safe. I recommend it for anyone wanting a nice queer romance read with fantasy elements. Watch out for themes of abuse and sexual themes. You can purchase The Three-Body Problem on itch.io here for $5 or play a free mobile version from Wattpad!
Raik is a deeply Scottish fantasy melded with reality. You play as a young woman dealing with anxiety and stress trying to make it through her day, while a fantasy world unravels around her. This story has layers, and all of it is beautiful. The portrayal of anxiety is poignant and real, and the writing is gorgeous. I don’t want to say anything else to spoil it, but this game is fantastic. I recommend for anyone who likes to daydream. Please be warned of themes of anxiety, stress, and panic attacks as well as some fantasy violence. You can buy Raik here on itch.io for 3 GDP (or more! Please support the author!)
Space Frog! (I saw a lunar eclipse) is a story of a frog in space. He’s a frog and he’s in space! This is a cute, short interactive fiction with low stakes, no worries, just cute adventures of a frog in space. You can direct frog as he travels and learn more about him. It has adorable illustrations and clickable text that reveals extra flavor information. I recommend to anybody looking for a smile. You can play Space Frog here on itch.io and also download a zine of the game for $2 or more!
Floor is a text-interactive game about lying on the floor. You can lie on the floor, and you can get off the floor. What you do next is up to you! This is a short game with no real stakes, just real life boredom and activities. It may evoke feelings of loneliness or disappointment, but you can also just have some hummus. Floor can be played here on itch.io!
Apple Spice Pancakes is another short game about making pancakes with your sweetie! It’s entirely wholesome and adorable. The game text is all dialogue - the dialogue you read is from your partner, and your choices are your real-time responses to them. You can help them design your perfect breakfast while being disgustingly cute. Apple Spice Pancakes is available here on itch.io!
A Witch’s Word is a romantic text game where you have made a deal with a witch, offering her your firstborn. The only problem is you don’t have a child. Or a partner. The witch is here to help. Explore three potential relationships as your witch continues to introduce you to new sweethearts, trying to find someone who you are willing to love and who is willing to give up your child. And if you don’t want any of these people the witch offers you... maybe play the game anyway. See what can happen. A Witch’s Word is available here on itch.io!
Other:
Novena is an interactive poem! It’s a pixel art game that you navigate around, interacting with parts of the environment to read through the poem, which is about the ocean, and wishes, and expectations. And compassion. It has absolutely stunning visuals and music, and the poem makes me cry each time. Be warned of some really heavy feelings, but it will do its best to comfort you. The poem takes about five minutes to read and is here on itch.io waiting for you.
I hope a few of these games are of interest to you and that I’ve inspired you to support these great indie developers! If you wanna support me and see more articles and reviews on indie games, or encourage me as I learn to make my own, you can follow me here and on itch.io and support me with donations on ko-fi! Please reblog if you like this article, since tumblr will make it very hard to find with all these links. Have a great day and play some good games!

Since I’ve been gone so long….
QUICK MOBILE LINKS: Downloads // Stories // WCIF
I’d like to let my followers know a little bit about the type of Simblr I am.
First and foremost, hello! My name is Savannah and I’ve been a member of this community for almost 10 years. I’m a wife and mother. I’m addicted to The Sims CC, music, books and history. I’m goofy and random and I swear A LOT. I hope you enjoy my content. Remember to please be respectful as I won’t hesitate to block anyone trying to start drama. I’m too old for that shit.
This post will be long and I’m sorry in advance.
I came to Simblr almost 10yrs ago looking for CC and fell in love with this community. I planted my own roots here and I’ve connected with some absolutely awesome and nicest individuals all over the planet. I ended up burning myself out of The Sims for awhile (and my son spilled soda in my gaming PC and it just died). I didn’t mean to stay gone as long as I did but life just got in the way of free time. In my absence, many of my favorite simmers have deleted or has gone MIA and I really miss them all. I’ve got so many great memories here. Simblr today is definitely not the same as it once was.
I have ALWAYS encouraged others to be their most creative self whether that be editing in photoshop, digital painting to creating Sims CC. It’s not very mature to call other people’s work “ugly” or discourage their creativity as they probably worked hard on it.
I’ve ALWAYS responded to every message and ask (except for rude/drama ones) and have done my best to keep up with post replies and tracked CC down for WCIF’s. If you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask!
Any CC I’ve created and shared has always been FREE and always been credited. I always tried to release some sort of CC as a way of saying “thank you for following me.” I will never guilt or beg anyone to download or use my CC.
I will NEVER ask you to send me money, donate or charge for any CC I may put out.
I’ve never once been rude to someone who wasn’t rude to me from the start. If you can’t show me respect, you don’t deserve mine.
I have NEVER and WILL NEVER participate in the drama plaguing this community (you can go through my posts to verify). I might post about where I stand in a certain situation but I’ll never actively engage in the back and forth bullshit. All I want to do is play The Sims, download and share awesome CC, meet nice simmers and see how different others play compared to how I play. If wanting to keep my Simblr simple and an enjoyable space for everyone without all of the drama offends you, then it’s totally okay to unfollow me or not follow me at all as you absolutely have that choice. Humans still have the right to have their own opinions without being publicly humiliated. Anyway, sorry for the long post but as I said, I was gone for a long time and just wanted to let the newbies know a little about me and my Simblr. I hope to interact with you guys and I hope you enjoy my past and upcoming content. I love you guys.
Oh, one more thing! My blog is a political bullshit free zone. It’s dedicated to Sims related things. This game is an escape from our harsh world and I don’t want or need any Karen telling me everything is [insert government leader here] fault mmmkay? kthxbye🙃❤️
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please DO NOT follow me or please unfollow me if you support MAP’s (minor attracted person), if you’re a pedophile, groomer and/or an apologist or justifier for all three. There’s absolutely nothing you can say to me to justify or try to normalize the abuse of children. You just be a sicko.
