Hunter- Taylor Swift

Wrecker- Tie between 1989 and Fearless

Tech- Red for “All Too Well” alone (he’s very into lyrics and their meanings; also enjoys Folklore and Evermore)

Crosshair- Reputation (he’s also a really big fan of Red and Lover, but Reputation has a special place in his heart; he’s a huge Swiftie though so he likes all of them)

Omega- Speak Now (Reputation is a very close second because Crosshair likes it so much)

Echo- Folklore (followed very closely by Midnights and TTPD)

Phee- Tie between Red and Evermore

Fives- Midnights

i’ll try to not make this an essay. we just celebrated four years together, three married, on halloween! i’ll say i knew pretty quickly. i think within three conversations i was thinking “this is someone i’m going to love very very much.” i’ve never been very good at being. normal sjdksjsj so i’m pretty sure our first convos consisted of me rambling about mothman for some reason? i was terrified of being annoying but i also just. enjoyed talking to him so much. there’s a quote from if beale street could talk where james baldwin writes, “fonny liked me so much that it didn’t occur to him that he loved me,” and that’s exactly how it felt. there has always been just a sense of understanding between us, things we communicate w/o words. he’s my best friend and it’s absolutely insane to me that he loves me this much too???

I know i might have a weird taste for music but i didn't think it was that bad until i gave a lift to my brother and he kept begging be for a normal song after being forced to listen to nyan cat for not even 30 seconds...

And than two trucks started playing...

“DYWTYLM” by Sleep Token

#song of the day #Sleep Token really saving my sanity as we navigate this dark and uncertain time without an upgraded sibling singalong playlist #had to go out into the snow on under two hours' sleep to get groceries #(the farmers' market gave me kefir cheese so any amount of suffering would've been worthwhile but I couldn't know that at the time)#and getting into Nick's car knowing there was music I could request that he could play loud as he wanted and I wouldn't want to cry #I mean blessing isn't even a strong enough term. baking a cake for the Sleep Token guy (his name is Vessel) as we speak #anyway this song sounds incredible in the original and then so odd sung acapella. like singing a bass line just a couple beats repeating #polar opposite of my lady indie covers. a song rendered fully unrecognizable when I wander the house mumbling it to myself #the verses do alright I suppose but the chorus is out of the question. the lyrics are so strong too real gut-punch lines #'and my reflection just won't smile back at me like I know it should / and I would turn into a stranger in an instant if I could #and there is something eating me alive I don't know what it is / maybe not that you conceal your feelings they just don't exist'#the whole song is like that it is so so so good. every new Sleep Token song I hear I'm like oh of course yes I see why these are fic titles #(Sleep Token catching up to Fall Out Boy and Hozier in terms of lines I've seen as fic titles. My post canon HC for Princess Tutu is that after Gold Crown is restored the main cast just ends up reforming themselves through a bunch of modern music. Fakir goes from listening to MCR to switching it over to The Killers. Maybe even Paramore (something him and Rue would eventually bond over).
