good omens the book, 1990: see, queen is so ubiquitous in london these days that if you leave a tape in a car for too long, it'll inevitably morph into a best of queen tape. which is why their megahits are playing in crowley's bentley all the time! isn't that a funny and topical joke?
good omens the show, 2019-2023: yeah crowley's car has a hands-free call system and also only plays cassette tapes. yeah it's whatever don't think about it. what's an incredibly earnest and passionate queen love song we can play during this scene where crowley tries urgently to reach aziraphale

The Batkids each have a personal playlist they blast when they get behind the Batmobile's wheel and it's so much worse being tailed by a roaring tank that is also blaring out a cheery pop song or ominous film score and there's a running poll on social media to have Gothamites vote on who is driving based on song choice.

Maybe not in front of strangers at a public karaoke bar... but singing a duet in private; it kinda makes you feel like you're on cloud nine, doesn't it?
Took a moment today to let out some steam by finishing up this WIP I had laying around for ages while listening to my 'karaoke for on the road' spotify list. 'Our Love' by Curtis Harding ft. Jazmine Sullivan, 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and 'Accidentally in love' by Counting Crows to name 3 from the top of my head.
It's just fun to sing and not to worry about whether or not you're good at it!

I think coldplay has earned its reputation as your average easily digestible mild middle-aged poprock but their earlier albums really were solid, I am oft rolling my eyes when people ridicule them like yeah they're british dads producing marketable singles about partying now but parachutes? a rush of blood to the head? substantial. clean. sharp. all yellow

in honour of pride month and the ongoing love and support for weird (affectionate) trans people and genderqueers:
how would you describe your gender in the style of an abstract phrase or idea?
Like, my gender is the solitude at the top of a mountain. Or, my gender is the colour red in the deep ocean, or, my gender is the first dandelions to grow from a disused parking lot.
Binary cis and trans folk who consider themselves ‘woman’ or ‘just some guy’ very much welcome to apply! Lot of fun to be gained and shared.

What I Think Each Member of the Bad Batch’s Favorite Taylor Swift Album(s) Would Be (Plus Bonus Phee and Bonus Fives)
Hunter- Taylor Swift
Wrecker- Tie between 1989 and Fearless
Tech- Red for “All Too Well” alone (he’s very into lyrics and their meanings; also enjoys Folklore and Evermore)
Crosshair- Reputation (he’s also a really big fan of Red and Lover, but Reputation has a special place in his heart; he’s a huge Swiftie though so he likes all of them)
Omega- Speak Now (Reputation is a very close second because Crosshair likes it so much)
Echo- Folklore (followed very closely by Midnights and TTPD)
Phee- Tie between Red and Evermore
Fives- Midnights
