My modern Attack On Titan head canons.

Eren: He is 100% a bad boy poser. Does he try to dress all grunge, try to remain aloof and talk about overthrowing the government? Yes. However he spends way too much time trying to look grunge in the morning, making his hair look perfectly unkempt in his messy bun, he purposely pulls one of his front pockets out and leaves it like that all day (he doesn't do both because he thinks that people would then notice that he does it on purpose). He tries to copy Annie's personality but he has just way too many fucks to give. My man won't even jaywalk. He insists its because most pedestrian accidents happen because of jaywalking but he is also lowkey scared to get in trouble and he doesn't want to be a bad influence on his friends. If anyone he is with tries to jaywalk anyway he will grab them and make them wait until it is time to cross. Unless it is Annie leading the way, then he'll reluctantly follow her to try to look cool, plus he knows that he can't stop her anyways. He will quietly peace out if any of his friends start getting into trouble that he can't stop them from doing.

Armin: He is 100% a closet pervert. He got way too defensive when Hitch caught him in the process of trying to touch Annie. Why so defensive when she hadn't even accused him of doing anything inappropriate yet, hmm? Probably a weeb who owns a body pillow of his anime waifu and rushes to hide it everytime someone comes into his room. No one knows of its existence, yet.

Mikasa: She is so beautiful that people are intimidated by her before they even see how jacked she is under her many layers of clothes, because she is always cold. Since she is intimidatingly beautiful she has never been chased by anyone except Jean, so she lowkey thinks that she is ugly when she isn't. She is just so beautiful that no one thinks that they have a chance with her so they don't even try.

Floch: He is Eren's weird friend that he always talks about overthrowing the government with. However unlike Eren Floch might actually attempt to do so. Probably has ACAB and anarchy symbols all over everything he owns. Has probably been arrested for vandalizing a government building and assaulting a police officer at least once.

Sasha: I'm convinced that this probably isn't even a head canon but a fact, but she picks up a new cookbook every single month based on different cultures and makes everything in it at least once. Oftentimes Niccolo helps her tweak the recipes to fit her tastes if the recipe she tried was a bust.

Jean: He knows that he has the potential to be a complete lady killer but he is truly a one woman man. He could be described as a hopeless romantic.

Connie: He is the type to do stupid shit even if he knows that it is stupid because at least it'll make for a good story.

Reiner: He adopts pretty much everyone that he likes. His favorite cashier at the coffee shop he frequents? That's his brother now. The old lady across the street that he mows the lawn for? That's his grandmother now. He babysat some kids when he was a teenager? Those are his kids now. He is lonely and has so much love to give that he gives it away freely.

Annie: Unlike Eren she is 100% genuine grunge. She has exactly 1 fuck to give on any given day and it is usually dedicated to martial arts practice. She puts on clothes that were previously thrown on the floor, never wears makeup unless she miraculously has 3 or 4 fucks to give for the day, runs off of only coffee and protein shakes until she gets home for dinner because she can't be assed to eat a proper breakfast or lunch.

Pieck: She would 100% wear only the softest, cutest, sweaters and hoodies in modern times. Her friends would have to beg her to go anywhere with them because she would be such a home body, only wanting to cook, read and watch Netflix all day everyday.

Zeke: I read another head canon once that he would be that guy who has a library of books, always smells like cigarettes and only talks about Communism when he is drunk. I would also like to add that he would be an annoying vegan who tried to push it on everyone. Eren would pretend to be a vegan to keep the peace between them but he would order a bucket of KFC chicken at least once a week and just eat it in his car before hiding the evidence. Zeke caught him one time though and made him marathon watch a bunch of vegan documentaries to change his mind. Eren pretended he was converted, but really he just learned to be sneakier.

Niccolo: He would be the type to drive 4 hours one way to try a new restaurant with Sasha, and not even fancy, highly rated ones. He'd be down to try anything and everything that Sasha was interested in, even if it was just some local fast food joint. He would get upset if Sasha tried a new place without him.

Hange: She would probably starve to death if Levi didn't make her attend meal times. She gets so wrapped up in her work that she ignores her hunger and by the time she is finished she has no energy to make anything, even something simple like a pb&j sandwich. Levi is basically her mom, making her eat, shower and go to bed at a reasonable time everyday. At first she didn't get why he worried so much about her because she was still alive with the same habits before she met him, but now she really appreciates it and gets really worried if Levi doesn't come to pester her about self care at his usual times. She'll stop what she is doing and go pester him about self care instead, because usually he is struggling in that department as well if he fails to show up.

Levi: He would probably be a vigilante of some sort in modern times. Maybe he would join a biker gang that helps women escape abusive relationships (or does other acts of community service), maybe he would be that person to beat the literal shit out of a robber at 7/11 or intervene if he saw a cop abusing their power. He believes in the power of knocking the stupid out of people.

Erwin: I have a feeling that if he was alive in modern times that he would probably believe in a lot of conspiracy theories, like super advanced ancient civilizations, aliens, cryptids, etc... He would dedicate his entire life trying to prove that it is all real. He's a very curious and adventurous man by nature, he wants to know it all and would probably become a historian, archeologist, paleontologist, something along those lines.

Z-King: You know I can't help but think during the three months in the Dark Timeline, Sasha would be taking this the hardest with the death of Connie and that some of this might happen, she would (Maybe) Kill Connie's mom as she is still in titan form and no doubt Niccolo would try and comfort her leading up to them strengthening their relationship or something.

...ya know, Sasha's family is still alive right? She doesn't have to go to Niccolo.

But I like where your head's at. Let's expand on it.

Sasha is just as terrified as everyone else when Megatron brings the Warriors to the island and both Optimus and Megatron discuss the matter of Shockwave. Apparently a guy who brought a dead animal from extinction, from however many years ago! What was happening?!

And this mission to get the War Hammer Titan, everyone is afraid of. When they were expecting to go see the outside world, they weren't expecting this destruction and chaos. Sasha is just terrified when Shockwave strikes and she sees the Predacon trying to claw its way into the cave before Megatron tackles it and takes it to the sky. Then all the carnage of Shockwave's army and Shockwave himself is overloading her senses until she hears Connie strangled cry of pain. A titan has him in its jaws, and before Sasha can reach him, it bites Connie in half in an instant. Sasha is screaming out in pain and tackled out of the way of another titan by Jean because she's too distressed to pay attention. Jean managed to grab a piece of Connie's cloak before they ultimately have to flee. And Sasha is just holding it and sobbing into it as they flee back to the island.

Because she just lost her best friend, her other half, her brother, in such a violent way because she couldn't properly focus due to the carnage. And she's forcing herself to keep it together as there's chaos in the military meetings about what to do with the influx of refugees and the loss of Optimus Prime. The 104th are at a loss now the loss of Connie and the loss of Optimus was taking a toll on them. And Sasha couldn't let go of Connie's cloak through all of it.

Then, Megatron, walks into the room they are in, looking kind of dead inside himself. And the 104th, excluding Eren who isn't there at the moment, are bracing for what the worst of what Megatron has to say. Because up until this point, Megatron has shown disdain for humanity. But Megatron gives a simple, clear, instruction.

"You have one week to gather yourself and get your affairs in order."

Which is...surprisingly generous considering the situation, but Megatron doesn't elaborate on that and simply leaves. Armin and Mikasa don't have family left, so they just start helping out right away. Jean asks Sasha if she's okay before going to see his mom.

And Sasha...goes home. She grabs a horse and rides straight back home to her forest in Wall Rose. She arrived home and see her parents along with the additional three children and Kaya. And her parents want to ask what's been going on because they've been hearing about the situation when they go to town for food, but they just see their daughter barely trying to hold it together and tell the kids to go do some work. Kaya is the most reluctant to leave, but Mrs. Blause reassures her that it'll be okay.

Sasha and her parents end up having a private discussion and Sasha just breaks down in tears, clinging to her mom and sobbing that she had lost her best friend to some demonic monster worse than the titans. And that scares her parents, but they keep a brave face and tell her to stay the night. Sasha tells them that she has a week before she needs to go back, and her parents are more than happy to let her stay for that long.

So for the next week, Sasha is doing her best to help around the house and the farm. She'll even take some of the kids chores. They were initially grateful, but even they're picking up on the fact that something wrong with Sasha. During that week, Mr. Blause is taking Kaya out on a hunting exercise, because he wants her to learn the family trade, and invites Sasha to join. But Sasha can't focus when they're on the hunt. She actually misses a few of her shots because her hands are trembling. Mr. Blause bravely asks Sasha to take a minute, but Sasha is so insistent that she can do it, because if only she was able to rely on her senses, then she might've saved Connie. His death plagues her mind every night.

And Mr. Blause feels so regretful. He thought sending her out of the forest would have made her wiser, but it's only brought her more pain and put her in so much danger. He tells her to come back home and leave the life of a soldier behind, genuinely fearing for his daughter's safety. And Sasha so badly wants to say 'yes' but she takes one look at Kaya, the girl she saved when she was in danger, and says she can't. She knows that the island will be in danger soon, but to lie down and remain quiet if and when it all ends means that helping all those other people was for nothing. Connie's death would have been in vain.

Her week is almost up and Sasha takes the horse, saying 'goodbye' to her family and wanting to take care of one last matter before going back to headquarters. Her parents are fearful of letting her go, but they have no choice. Sasha finds herself in Ragako, and goes to where Connie's mom is, and is surprised to find Jean there. Jean says that Connie wouldn't shut up about the conversations he had with her, and how excited she would have been to meet them if they managed to turn her back into a human. And both are debating: should they turn her back?

Because turning her back would not only be shortening her life span, but she has no one if she returns. Her entire village, her family, were turned into titans and Connie, her remaining son was now dead. She'd be all alone. But leaving her like this was just another form of hell. Maybe it was better to put her out of her misery and kill her, but neither of them have the guts.

They return back to headquarters together and are met with clear, cut, instructions on how to proceed next and get stronger. Sasha keeps Connie's tattered cloak wrapped around her person at all times. It's one of the few things she can remember him by.

In regards to Niccolo, she'll probably go looking for him to get a good meal, something to make her happy, but Niccolo has been put on a different duty: cooking food and prepackaged meals for refugees, so he's completely busy. But Sasha does find him, and Niccolo apologizes for her loss, and says that Connie was a good person, even if he was a bit of an airhead. Niccolo realizes his mistake of insulting the dead, but it gets a good laugh out of Sasha. Niccolo hands her a packaged meal and wishes her luck, and offers to cook for her the best meal when this was over, since she was the one who always enjoyed what he had to serve. Sasha takes him up on his offer.

Now, when Arcee and Wheeljack come into the picture. Arcee is able to pick up on how distracted and angry Sasha is when training in 3D gear, because during those three months, her sorrow has turned into rage, wanting to take out the guy who killed Connie. She still wants to protect the people she cares about, but just thinking about Shockwave makes her angry and she'll lash out at people. Arcee does pull her aside and they have a talk. And Arcee talks about her own experiences of getting revenge.

"It hurts," Arcee says, "Believe me, I know, but the way that your going, closing yourself off from feeling, is not going to help you."

"How can you tell me to not feel angry?!" Sasha yelled, "Not feel angry at the monster who killed my best friend?! You got your revenge too, didn't you?!"

"Almost," Arcee admitted, "But...my vengeance consumed me in a way that was hurting myself and the people around me. I ended up putting myself and them in danger. If I got what I wanted in that mindset, I don't think they would have ever looked at me the same way again."

Arcee looked Sasha dead in the eye. "Sasha, we will kill Shockwave. Not just for Connie, but for everyone else that Shockwave has hurt. He can't be left alive. But...just don't let that vengeance consume you. Don't let it overtake you to the point where you can't think of anyone else. You have good friends. Don't forget about them and how they're feeling in all this too."

I think at one point, Jean and Sasha make the painful decision of killing Connie's mother, because they couldn't leave her in this state of limbo and eternal suffering. Once they get Optimus back, and he's able to move around again, the Survey Corps, Optimus, Arcee, and Wheeljack all go to Ragako to host a funeral. Megatron excuses himself from the affair to cover their shifts, but he also doesn't feel welcome in a rather private manner. A few people make speeches, say a prayer, and Wheeljack and Arcee flip the titan body over so Sasha can administer a clean swipe at the neck.

Sasha continues to wipe her tears, and prays that if there is an afterlife, that Connie can be with his family again.

Nothing would please me more...

Than to see Gabi Fucking Braun annihilated from Attack on Titan the same way Isayama tried to annihilate Sasha from the series to pave way for this inferior Eren clone. All mention of her character, her story, her unwarranted survival, none of that holds any true weight in the story and the ending sure doesn’t justify Gabi essentially stealing the focus of a story that is NOT HERS. She instead is a nobody who came to force herself in every facet of the story, and walked away fully rewarded for it despite causing some of the worst damage in and out of universe. 

There’s literally no valid reason for Gabi Braun to exist, and any fan who believes otherwise is deluded. Nothing about her story is natural and none of the mercy extended to her is warranted. “Children of the forest”, if anyone wandered in the forest for too long....it was this cunt. 

Everything of Gabi. Should be declared NONCANON. The story didn’t need to sacrifice Sasha for something so shallow. How pathetic is it that Isayama put such a minimalist effort into developing a fully three dimensional character like Sasha but went all in for ONE fucking newbie at the expense of not just Sasha, but virtually everyone else? And her stupid, arrogant, self-important fans are too cowardly to own this obvious bias on the part of this so-called professional.

Gabi needs to be disavowed entirely. Right down to the women who voiced her. Yeah, I have no problem saying Ayane Sakura and the even more annoying Lindsay Seidel should both be called out on having consciously taken on such an invalid character. They both sucked in the part, and it is gonna be hard to separate this bitch from anything else they play. 

Gabi fans really are in no position to defend a character who when you actually look past the surface is totally unnecessary. And especially not when they’ve gotten their way all the time to the finish. They get no breaks for selfishly exploiting that. None whatsoever. 

There is serious case to make this completely noncanon, especially with that enormously inappropriate ending having come to pass. 

This story died with Sasha, because of Gabi.

EreMika (Eren x Mikasa) omg do I even need to elaborate? First of all THE FACT THAT MIKASA LOOKS PRETTIER WHEN ITS IN ERENS POV? And not to mention the fact that in episode 12 Ian even says to Mikasa 'defend your boyfriend' in sub and in dub he said 'go save the man you love' also when Eren asked Mikasa what he is to her it was obious he wasnt wanting the answer "your my family" AND THE FACT THAT THEY KISSED IN THE FINAL EPISODE

NicoSasha (Niccolo x Sasha) LITTERALLY CANNON BUT ISAYAMA HATES LOVE APARENTLY. Niccolo looked mesmerised and looked so inlove while blushing when he saw Sasha CRYING over how good his food was. Omg and the way he reacted when his conrad called Sasha a 'filth blooded potato grubbing devil' MY MAN WAS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE and when he said "What is this brat someone specil to you? Is that why he tried to protect you earlier? You care about him huh? Well I used to care about someone too! A DIRT BLOODED ELDIAN! A DECENDENT OF DEVILS! Niccolo x Sasha — A cake for her birthday

The modest kitchen of the grand restaurant was quiet—not a soul around except a blond boy, who was storming all over the place from one bowl to another.

Niccolo had barely gotten any sleep last night, too nervous for the upcoming day. Yet when his alarm went off at five in the morning, he rushed to his workplace as if no tiredness could affect him. Not on this day, at least. This day was special. This day was her day.

As he was whisking the eggs into the flour mix, the sun had risen high enough to hit his eyes with a bright glow, spreading across the room. He paused to look around. The small space was full of sunlight. It penetrated every little corner, and in the light, he could see tiny specks of dust floating in the air. It couldn’t have been any other way, thought Niccolo—after long days of continuous rain, the sun was bound to shine on her birthday.

“What are you doing here so early?” The soft, sleepy voice startled him, pulling him out of his reverie. And panic settled in.

“You’re not supposed to be here!” Niccolo cried, anxiously swinging his hands in the air. In one swift motion, he was right in front of Sasha, trying to send her out of the kitchen.

With a perplexed look on her face, Sasha put her hands on his forearms, standing firm on the ground. “Why? Do you keep secrets from me? You were always happy to see me here.”

Niccolo knew he couldn’t talk his way out of it. So the only thing left was to accept his failure. “It was a surprise… For your birthday.” He sighed, hanging his head.

“Oh, my birthday,” she muttered, the corners of her mouth curling down. It wasn’t long, though, before her lips stretched into a smile and she collided with his chest, tightly wrapping her arms around his torso. “You planned a surprise for my birthday? Thank you, Nic!” she said, burying her face into his shirt.

A profuse blush covered his cheeks as he put his arms on her back hesitantly. “Don’t thank me; it’s not ready yet. And since the surprise is ruined, you might want to help me with taste testing, so I wouldn’t fail at this as well,” he chuckled.

“Nothing is ruined!” Unclasping her hands, Sasha took a step back to look into his eyes. “And it’s not possible for you to fail at cooking. Your food is always amazing. What were you cooking?”

With a shy smile, Niccolo took her hand in his, leading her towards one of the countertops, where three bowls stood filled to the brim. “I’m making you a birthday cake—”

“A cake? A whole birthday cake just for me?” Sasha interrupted, raising her brows.

“What’s a birthday without a cake? Why are you so surprised?” he chuckled. Lowering her gaze, she pursed her lips and started fidgeting with her fingers. Afraid of having said something wrong, Niccolo hurried to change the topic back to his initial thought. “I wasn’t sure about the filling, so I made three different kinds. And, honestly, I don’t know how I would choose. But since you’re here, I thought—”

Sasha didn’t even let him finish as she took a wooden spoon out of his hand and stuffed her mouth with a generous scoop from the first bowl. “Mhm, it’s good… So tasty,” she mumbled through chewing.

“That’s whipped cream,” Niccolo laughed. Taking the spoon from her, he dipped it in the second bowl. “Here, try this one,” he said, bringing it to her mouth.

She hummed as the flavor spread across her taste buds. “What’s this? It’s delicious. Give me more!”

A new wave of laughter swept over him. “It was cream cheese. Better taste the last one, though. I’m especially proud of this.”

For the first time since the bowls came into her view, Sasha took her eyes off them, staring at Niccolo. He brought the spoon to her lips again, but this time her soft, brown eyes were fixed on his as she tasted the filling. Unable to shift his gaze, he gulped, eager to see her reaction.

“Chocolate! It’s chocolate! Am I right? God, it’s so good!” she cried, bringing her hands to her face and rocking on her hills.

Niccolo’s lips stretched into a wide grin. “Yes, it’s chocolate ganache. So, which one should we choose?”

Studying the bowls, Sasha furrowed her brows. “This one!” She pointed at the last bowl. “No, wait! This!.. Wait, but this one was so good too.. You’re making it impossible, Nic!” She huffed and slumped down in the nearest chair, visibly upset.

“I’ll give you all of it anyway,” he laughed. “Just choose which one you want on the cake.”

Her large eyes seemed to go even bigger at his words. “You will? You’re the best!” She sprang to her feet, embracing him in a hug. A tinge of pink spread over his cheeks for the second time this morning. “Then chocolate ganache, I guess,” she said with a sheepish smile.

“Ganache it is!” He lifted the spoon in the air to mark their success.

Having decided on the filling, Niccolo went back to preparing the cake, and Sasha stood by his side, ready to help with anything he would entrust her with. He kept stealing glances at her when she was pouring the milk, when she was cutting strawberries, and when she was licking the spoon off, thinking he wouldn’t notice.

He did. He noticed everything—every little detail about her. The way she talked to everyone so politely at all times. The way she laughed at her friends’ jokes, making his lips curl up instinctively if he happened to hear her contagious laughter. The way her eyes sparkled every time she ate his food. If she was worried, if she slightly changed her hairstyle, and if—god forbid—her appetite was lower than usual.

She placed her hand on his, giving it a light squeeze, and peered into his eyes. “Thank you, Niccolo, really. I don’t even remember the last time someone made a cake for my birthday. I guess sometimes life gets in the way,��� she trailed off, her doe eyes glistening with tears.

This time, he was the one to embrace her. As she wrapped her hands around him, hiding her face on his chest, Niccolo put his head on top of hers, inhaling the scent of her strawberry shampoo. He held her close, and every pore of his body repulsed the idea of ever letting her go. And before he managed to process it, his lips landed on her forehead in a gentle kiss.

He froze. He turned his head away, completely paralyzed in his entire body. In his arms, Sasha stiffened too. Hot in the face, he was about to pull away when she lifted her head and kissed his chin. Looking into his eyes, Sasha snickered lightly; her eyes crinkled, and a light shade of pink covered her cheeks. He smiled at the sight—his favorite in the whole world.

After removing the cakes from the oven, they stacked all the layers, adding the filling in between. For the decorating part, Niccolo made Sasha turn around and close her eyes, and she was only allowed to look at it once everything was ready.

On the table stood a perfect chocolate cake graced with strawberries and “Happy birthday, Sasha!” written neatly across with a few little hearts.

“What a pretty cake!” she gasped. And before anything else could be said, she was already sticking her fork in the cake, hungrily stuffing her mouth. “You’re a genius, Niccolo!”

Though accustomed to her habits, he couldn’t contain his laughter at the scene in front of him, closing his eyes to savor the moment. Seeing her joy was everything he could ever ask for. Being the reason for her joy was more than he deemed himself worthy of.

He opened his eyes with a sigh. “Happy birthday, Sasha.”

Before the tombstone lay white roses and a piece of chocolate cake.

Soulmates AU in which your soul is bounded to your soulmate's soul.

What does that mean exactly? That when you die, if your soulmate is still alive you can't move on. Instead your soul is stuck by your soulmate's side until they die too, so the two souls can become one in death. Depending on how strong the bond between the two is, one could see (and even interact!) with their deceased soulmate.

Now this but, you know by now, JeanMarco. With Marco waking up and the first thing he saw was Jean's terrified face while looking at the dead body- Marco's half eaten dead body. He learns it pretty quickly that he can't leave Jean's side, bound to follow his best friend around. He also learns that is possible for Jean to see and hear him during the ceremony of burning the fallen soldiers during Trost ; it lasted so little, too little for all the things Marco wanted to say. If he knew Jean was listening from the beginning, he would've started with exposing Reiner and Berthold right away. By the time he took notice that not only Jean was looking at him, but listening too, it was too late. Every other word from him was meet with silence, unheard by the living.

Isn't until the 57th expedition outside the walls that Marco learns that he can interact with Jean too, touch him. In his panic after Jean's failed attack on the Female Titan Marco didn't think and went straight to his best friend's side, touching his shoulder while looking for any injuries. Jean's eyes went straight to the place Marco's was touching, looking confused- until he followed the arm and saw Marco in front of his very own eyes. And just like everything, it lasted too little for Marco's liking. The Female Titan took hold of Reiner, crushing him in her hand, and Jean could no longer see him.

It was later, much much later than either of them would've liked, for Marco to understand how everything works. To know that he could only interact with Jean when his mind was filled with thoughts of Marco. By then Jean already began to move on, the secret of Reiner and Berthold's true selves already out. So Marco could only watch, unable to be there for his other half- for Jean.

And it was when they saw the ocean for the first time that Marco understood why he was truly stuck by Jean's side. When he saw his best friend having fun with the others and realized just how much he loves him. When he realizes that all he truly wants is to be by Jean's side, the way they promised each other to do during their training days.

Headcannon that in a modern high school au setting, Sasha would meet Niccolo by being forced to help clean up after cooking club as punishment for continuously stealing the club’s ingredients as an extra snack not realizing she wasn’t allowed to. Niccolo, who is usually the one who stays back to clean because of his dedication, ends up developing feelings for Sasha over the next two weeks. (He actually didn’t like her at first). Even after her punishment is over, she’s made a habit of stopping by the cooking club to be Niccolo’s taste tester, and he’ll sometimes give her little bags of cookies or an extra dish with lunch on random days. To everyone else, their seemingly close friendship came out of nowhere.
