He watches Aang and Katara talk, while continuing his thoughts, "He has the tattoos… and he was waterbending…" Aang notices Zuko hiding and points him out to Katara, who turns.
Zuko notices them looking at him and he ducks his head down behind the rock. Aang and Katara straighten up as they notice him disappear.
Aang and Katara start running towards where Zuko disappeared, yelling, "Wait! Hello!" Zuko has his back to the rock, scared and thinking, "Shit, shit, shit."
Another comic. It shows Zuko laying on the beach. He thinks to himself, "I'm so close to going home." He sits up and says, "Avatar, here I come!" showing that he's no longer a mermaid and has legs. After a moment of silence, he asks, "How do I walk?" End ID]

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#wei wuxian#wen qing#wen ning#Sibling similarity but you only see it when you realize they have the same soggy eyes.#These two always struck me as a bit of a play on Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli for 'siblings who contrast each other.#But after spending a lot more time marinating on Wen Ning I actually think they are way more similar that is initially apparent.#Sure their surface level personality traits are pretty contrastive. But they both are so willing to risk their lives for what's right#Who raised them? In a story so full of examples of how parents shape their children - why are these two lacking in parents?#I imagine that Wen Qing is the older sibling and so her morals of 'help those who need it no matter who they are' got passed a long.#But how did *she* arrive there? Was that instilled within her or was it a reaction against bearing witness to callousness and cruelty?#We'll never know..the only thing I can say for certain is Wen Qing is *so* soggy in the audio drama.#She's like the ant with the bindle. It's a hell of a way to bring a previously sharp tongued character back into the narritive.#Side note: Thank you all for being so patient and kind while I took my break!#It's been a very chaotic few weeks and I didn't realize how bad my burnout was getting. I'm back and ready to keep drawing again!

i have lots of flaws but i do at least take a fair amount of comfort knowing that, if i were a customer NPC in a fast food/retail management game, i would be one of the chill early-level ones that can wait a super long time before they start getting impatient, and you breathe a sigh of a relief when you see them show up in a harder level

Something's Wrong: Raph's POV...
Out of the three brothers, Raph's the one to notice something was up first. And, unfortunately, it was only because he ended up in a situation Leo wasn't used to and briefly caught glimpses of those walls being down. He only saw this "sad look" a handful of times for the first few days of his grounding before Leo was more accustomed to having a running partner again. (Raph was forbidden from flying for two weeks, as per "doctor's" orders.)
He didn't know what was wrong, exactly, and Leo definitely talked circles around him if he ever got the opportunity to ask, but still. It put Raph on high alert.
Donnie's POV
OH SIDE NOTE: I actually totally forgot this detail in the Something Like Flying comic here, but uh, being held over the edge of the building by Draxum actually tore Leo's webbing a bit. Nothing bad, but still a significant detail, and I wanted to point out that error ;w; my bad bro, I got it right here at least lmfao.

i like to imagine that osha learning qimir's backstory, particularly the bit about whatever went down with vernestra, is the turning point in their relationship. something like he tells her how his master, his mother figure, whipped him in the back and left him for dead, and osha is just so angry and hurt on his behalf that she's surprised at how much she feels for him, and she realizes, "oh. i love him. i'm in love with him."
