The Pink Clawed Eclipse

You know, in all the storyshift takes, versions and whatnot, I NEVER see anything done with Mad Mew Mew, which is weird considering her direct connections to MTT and Blooky in canon, you'd think she'd have a more prominent role cause of that. This led me to havin' an idea for what MMM could be like in Storyshift, involving a small bit of reboot's lore and acknowledging some of her subtler connections in Undertale Mew Mew didn't have much to do in her free time, most of the time she just sat in waterfall, pondering and grieving... not like she had anyone to go back to, everyone was either dead or... well the one who was around had better people to talk to than her. They probably don't even remember her for the better honestly But, sometimes she'd venture on down to Snowdin, and at the very end of the forest, there was a door. And a "Overly loud rattling voice" behind it, but that wasn't so bad, not that she finally had someone to talk to... to accept her. And he enjoyed her too! They had so many conversations together Eventually, she noticed that he seemed, quieter than usual, so she asked what was wrong "TELL ME, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT HUMANS?" ... this wasn't a question she was expecting. She wasn't exactly a fan of them but... she didn't hate them either. Human's couldn't of been that bad her cousins were able to befriend one... "Well, they're alright I guess, why you asking?" And so Papyrus explained the events that had transpired to the friend he trusted ...turns out, a group dubbing themselves the "Solar Warriors" had killed a human he'd adopted after they were moved to be with Sans to be protected She was appalled to hear this, someone had killed the princes child.. who CARES with they were human it... WHO DOES THAT?!? And was... No one going to object to their actions? To call them OUT for murder?!? Even if it was a human, surely breaking into the THRONE ROOM is against some sort of law, right? Just cause they're part of a little group shouldn't absolve them of any crimes... ...well, even if others are just willing to ignore that for "the sake of freedom", she isn't. She's getting answers. It didn't take long to find out who was involved or where they where situated (pretty easy to look up articles on the Undernet about what happened.. at least once you know it did) and soon enough, she confronted them at waterfall She was furious and god was she letting it be known, how AWFUL and REVOLTING they were When she asked the warriors why they killed a human despite the fact that both Royals had given her the a-okay to live, she was met with "IT'S FOR THE GOOD OF THE KINGDOM" "IT'S FOR OUR FREEDOM!" "WE'VE WAITED FOR SO LONG!" "IT'S WHAT THE GHOSTS WOULD'VE WANTED!" "YEAH, WE DID IT FOR THEM!" Hearing them say something so WRONG about both the royals AND her cousins... it sent her over the edge These... "warriors" weren't seeking justice or freedom, and this wasn't even about revenge. They just wanted a reason to kill humans, and were willing to use ANYTHING to excuse either actions ...even lying to someone's FACE about what their family would've wanted... And she. wasn't. having. it These people want to act like they're above consequences do they? Well two can play at that game... And she is MUCH better at it than they are Countless screams. Boundless dust. All washed away by the stream of murky water And yet. She couldn't care. Why should she care about a bunch of "no name" liers and murders? She could go back to doing...whatever it was she used to do... ...but what if it happened again? What if they tried to kill another innocent under these hallow excuses? Who would hold them accountable then? ... Guess she just found something else to do in her freetime... and something that'd finally let her atone for failing her family before...

...and there's a certain human in Snowdin who very much does appreciate the "pink clawed eclipse"'s vigilantism.

✨️ An Encounter in a Marketplace ✨️

OKAY, SO I SPENT LIKE DEADASS 6 HOURS ON THIS.

It was meant to be a test of how my comic would look, but I ended up making it an actual piece.. BUT I DO NOT REGRET IT BC LOOK AT EM, THEYRE SO SILLY !!

Context behind this is that Dusk eventually makes his way to the Omega Timeline, where Ark was, and they met in the marketplace at Ark's small shop that he set up there!!

After realizing that Ark can see the creatures too, Dusk started asking a lot of questions and eventually got Ark to agree to help him in the search for his brother!! :Dc 🎉💫 [very short explanation]

[I like to believe there's a huge marketplace in the Omega Timeline that has a whole range of items and foods from different AUS, which I love to explore the idea of !! ]

As someone who is very much into (indie and niche) fragrance and Pirates of the Caribbean, here are my scent picks for some characters absolutely nobody asked for:

Elizabeth Swann: Juliette Has A Gun - Vanilla Vibes (Sea salt, natural vanilla absolute, orchid absolute, absolute brown musk, bezoin absolute, sandalwood, tonka bean)

This is basically just a salty vanilla perfume and I’m all here for it; it’s beachy, light and totally pre-Pirate King Elizabeth.

For more of an indie choice, I’d pick Death & Floral’s “I could never stay long enough on the shore” (sand, salty air, smoke, cold coastline). It’s been a while since I’ve smelled this one but it feels fitting. But tbh, any white floral scent would also fit CotBP Elizabeth - so maybe something like Cloon Keen’s Lá Bealtaine.

Pirate King Elizabeth would absolutely rock something challenging like Beaufort’s Terror & Magnificence (birch tar, black pepper, saffron, incense, tobacco, papyrus, haitian vetiver, myrrh, labdanum, benzoin and pebbles).

Will Turner: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - Asleep in the Deep (black plum, sea salt, opium tar accord, labdanum, and indigo benzoin)

Basically the dark and heavy counterpart to Elizabeth’s Vanilla Vibes, truly smells like you’re on the Dutchman in between realms.

Jack Sparrow: For Jack, I feel like anything remotely boozy with rum notes works, but if I had to name one scent, I’d pick Stranger Perfumery’s Cigar Rum (raisin, dried fruits (prune and cherry), rum absolute, mandarin, amber, tobacco, oakwood, vetiver, resins, labdanum absolute, seaweed absolute). Maybe layer that with a dirt single note or Fantôme - Bune (damp subterranean air, nagarmotha, smooth cave walls, davana, a cold marble altar, & glittering green dragon scales) for authenticity lol.

Hector Barbossa: Solstice Scents - Headmaster (Apple, bourbon, oak, cedar, pipe tobacco, applewood, amber, spices)

I just felt like I needed to pick a spicy, woody scent with apple notes in it. But any dark aquatic works too.

James Norrington: I associate James with any light aquatic or clean scents (at least when he’s not in his Scruffington Era), so I’d choose something like Solstice Scent’s Gulf Breeze (Saltwater, sand, seashells, sea oats, rain, ambergris (vegan accord).

Cutler Beckett: Histoires de Parfums - 1740 (bergamot, mugwort, patchouli, coriander, cardamom, cedar, birch, labdanum, leather, vanilla, elemi, helichrysum)

Idk, this is just giving off Cutler Beckett energy. It’s boozy, it’s rich, it’s dramatic.

And somehow The House on Widow’s Hill (brandy, old oak paneling, dusty thick carpets, a thread of incense & a roaring fire in the hearth) by Pulp Fragrance also fits. That one’s basically brandy, smoke and dusty carpets in a bottle. On second thought, that might also work for Papa Swann.

I also feel like a tea scent would suit Beckett, but only if it’s a bit heavier, so maybe something like Gris Charnel by bdk (fig, black tea, cardamom essence, iris absolute, bourbon vetiver, indian sandalwood, tonka bean absolute). …But I haven’t smelled that one in a while too.

Davy Jones: Zoologist - Squid (Pink Pepper, Solar Salicylate, Incense, Black Ink Accord, Salty Accord, Opoponax, Ambergris, Benzoin, Musk)

Pretty self-explanatory. On my skin, it’s very musk-forward though.

Ian Mercer: Beaufort - Tonnerre (smoke, gunpowder, blood, brandy, sea spray and citrus)

…Yeah, I guess that one’s also pretty self-explanatory.

Yup, that’s it. Make of that what you will.

What were the skeletons reactions to seeing a total solar eclipse for the first time?

Undertale Sans - He's ecstatic obviously. The two days before the eclipse, your house is a battlefield, full of books on the subjects hanging in any corner of any room. Sans is going full nerd mode as he wants to know everything before it happens. Plus it's really rare, so he's glad he can witness something like that!

Undertale Papyrus - He doesn't really believe night can fall during the day, because that's absolutely not logical. And yet, here it is. Night in the middle of the day. Papyrus is a bit shocked and not sure how it's even possible. He needs to ask Sans about this. Sans knows all these weird things. He's curious now.

Underswap Sans - He's so confused about why his coworkers want him to wear weird glasses, but he's doing it. Is that some kind of traditional party or something? He has no words when the sun suddenly disappears entirely. What just happened?

Underswap Papyrus - It actually spooked him as he never expected the night to fall randomly in the middle of the day. He saw too many apocalypse movies to not see this as a sign the world is ending. He goes to hide under his bed and calls his brother, completely panicked. Blue is so confused lol.

Underfell Sans - He's scared. He knows it's stupid as the fall can't fall on his head, but he really doesn't like it, as it looks too much like a cave-in about to happen. He's agitated until the eclipse ends, refusing to go out and pushing everyone away.

Underfell Papyrus - Doomfanger is completely freaking out, and since he trusts his cat's instincts, Edge is freaking out as well. He goes to lock himself in his wardrobe, hugging the cat against his chest in case there's an earthquake or something. He's actually confused when everything turns dark for a few seconds, before... it's light again? He's not sure what happened but he's going to need a few days to process.

Horrortale Sans - The eclipse is messing with his senses and he feels weirdly euphoric. He's full of energy and Willow can't keep up with his shenanigans. He's in eternal zoomies mode, and he feels a little bit mischievous. He's going to be nothing but a problem for a few hours lol. He noticed the solar eclipse for a second but completely forgets it the next few seconds.

Horrortale Papyrus - He went to watch it with Grillby and Toriel and got really excited about all the pretty flames in the sky. Well, until Toriel asks him what he's talking about and Willow realizes he's actually staring at Grillby's face and completely missed the eclipse lol. That happened.

Swapfell Sans - He read a lot of things about nuclear explosions and ok, maybe he overreacted screaming they're all going to die in the middle of Toriel's speech, making everyone run in panic and screaming as they try to escape the room as everything turned dark. When it turns out no one is actually dead, he decides to retreat to hide very far from the Queen.

Swapfell Papyrus - Everyone told him to not look at the sky but you're not the boss of him and he does what he wants to do. He looks at the eclipse and ends up blind for a few weeks. Ok, maybe he'll listen next time.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He's using the event to make Alphys believe he cursed her forever and that she will die before the next sunrise. Alphys somehow believes him and beat the shit out of him, screaming to reverse it. Wine doesn't see a lot of the eclipse as Alphys is making him bite the dust again and again lol.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - The lady on the news said to stay home and not look at the sky because you can turn blind. So Coffee spends the whole day inside of his wardrobe, refusing to get out until the television says it's safe to. He's fine painting random things and napping there, thank you.

He’s a narcissistic ass. There is no getting around this. He’s got the ego of a man who’s never been wrong (although he has), and the stubbornness of a bull. He believes he is superior to every other monster and human.

He’s obsessive. When he finds something interesting to him, he will devote himself body, mind, and SOUL to it. Even if it costs him his life and/or sanity to obtain it, that is a price he’s willing to pay.

These attributes are painfully exasperated with the higher his LVL reaches. After reaching double digits, he’ll occasionally dissociate for multiple days in a row. When dissociated, he goes into “autopilot” mode where he focuses entirely on his research without eating or sleeping. It’s difficult to break out of this state. Usually Sans or Papyrus have to help him.

He can be charismatic and suave when the moment suits him. A lot of monsters in the underground have had a crush on him. He can be flirtatious in a way that people think he’s flirting with them. . . But also maybe not? They can’t outright tell but they do know he makes them feel special. When it benefits him.

The ONLY way he will accept a romantic partner is if they are his SOULMATE. He thinks too highly of himself, and loves his research too much to indulge in anything less.

That being said, his father raised him to conduct himself as a gentleman in public. He will be polite and act respectful, even if he’s inwardly complaining and rolling his eyelights.

He does love his family. Family > Science > Himself > Everything else.

As a romantic partner he’s physically affectionate. He won’t be satisfied with simple hand holding but would crave full on lap sitting while working, or prolonged hugs that turn into nuzzles.

He is either your blanket when sleeping, or you are his. There is no in between.

His narcissism prevents him from feeling jealous, but if he sees someone overtly disrespecting the relationship he will turn hostile.

This hostility can also be triggered by you being hurt, emotionally or physically (Goodness gracious if someone actually laid their hands on you . . . Death would be a mercy).

Enjoys spontaneity over planned events. He may gripe about sudden interruptions from his work, but if it’s to spend time with you or his brothers he’ll secretly enjoy it (the exception being during a dissociative episode).

Is absolutely the type to randomly show up at your work / class and whisk you away from a surprise vacation just the two of you.

Will enable you so, so often. Anything short of life-threatening or harming his brothers, you get his stamp of approval. He will actively help you cause chaos if you want. You want to rob a bank? He’ll be your get away driver. You want to go camping? He’ll learn how to forage. You want to put a whoopee cushion under Asgore? He’ll distract for you. You want to build a solar powered motor bike? He’ll drag Sans in and it is getting done this very weekend.

Loves, loves, loves to tease you. Nothing pleases him more than getting a flustered reaction. Even if you wittily respond back, he won’t stop until he can feel the heat from your cheeks when he nuzzles you.
