The first story is Lost and Found Children.

Synopsis: A search for their missing parents lead twins Flynn and Nate to fall into a deep darkness, unraveling secrets about their family and the country they once trusted.

It's a story about mystery, overcoming trauma, and family. The story is set in a fictional world, about the equivalent to our 1920s in the west, but I borrowed elements from various surrounding eras and mixed them. If they appear to speak English... they actually don't haha. Think of like Violet Evergarden and how they may have real world names, but the script they use is definitely not German or English.

Character roster (above) drawn summer 2021. It displays their ages at the beginning of the year. Jack will turn 25 in a few days, then Terence will turn 19, Calem will turn 10, etc.

Trent Nightingale, Eva Ying, Jack Lockhart. Eva dons a ball gown reminiscent of the 1840s-1850s, and the boys are supposed to be like vampire butlers. suits have hardly changed in 100+ years and i think thats why people love that timelessness of them so much. The last 2 drawings aren't canon compliant. think of them as like. fashion shoots.

Jaime (?) for now. repurposing a character design from 2010 that I really liked, and wished I had developed more throughout the years. In illustrations (like in the past.. I hardly drew them in recent years LMAO) I tend to get more elaborate with clothing designs, but in character designs I tend to simplify designs, because drawing all those details would make me go nuts, and it's just not practical to see them run around the city with ball gowns. With Jaime (?) I wanted a character who would be fancy no matter what. Her fashion is inspired by the steampunk lolita style.

My second story is The Magician's Protegee (temp name but it's been named that for 3 years now so we'll see how I feel later)

Synopsis: In the distant future where robots and humans coexist - a faulty healthcare android tries to recover its purpose and searches for the meaning to life, by volunteering at an idyllic countryside clinic.​

TMP is a sci fi story outlining the day to day life of an android doctor, his patients, and adoptive daughter. This actually used to be about the Victorian occult/gothic horror (hence the title), but I couldn't find any appeal in the story, besides the cool backdrop. Now it's inspired by works like Astro Boy and Aria (Kozue Amano) that feature a distant world in the future, governed by what seem to be a dreamy and utopian society. I hardly watched Astro Boy as a child, but watching the 2003 show as an adult, I was surprised to see how emotionally provocative the series was... and for that I cried a lot HAHA. it really changed me as a storyteller from that point onward.

This story also deals with some complex topics like AI and existentialism, but it won't be as dark as Lost and Found Children.

Iris is about 5 years old and around 3'5"

Dr Lee is also biologically 5, but mentally in his 30s, and an android. About 6'5". the motivation behind Lee's look is that I didn't want him to look robotic at all. I haven't drawn it, but I think perhaps if he's not wearing anything (or like short sleeves), he might have some joints visible. like a ball jointed doll. ill think about it.

I wanted the designs to look sci-fi, but appealing enough that they were not off putting or something that wouldn't age well. Greatest insps for me were Kenichi Yoshida's art, Osamu Tezuka, Takegarou, and 60s fashion surprisingly. I really liked the simple, yet appealing emphasis on silhouettes and shape.

So I've got some ✨shuji thoughts✨ that no one asked for pls enjoy.

Idk if you knew this but shuji let's every device of his die. Like back in the days of Nokia flip phones it wasn't so bad, it died maybe every 4 days (when he didn't break it in a fight or drop it in a lake or whatever) but when he got his first smartphone? Just carry 4 cables with you at all times okay because he needs it and he will steal the cord only to lose it the next day. He's corrupted so many files on his computer by letting it die mid edit. (If you were wondering, he actually dropped out of highschool bc an essay he actually managed to write had this happen an dhe just never showed up again. But he still has the hard drive. Cuz it's weirdly important to him that he did that assignment. Don't ask why. He doesn't like to talk about it)

Department One: Apparel And Jewelry

What are you wearing today?  Just a white duster dress. Very loungewear-y, hahaha. I didn’t feel like wearing shorts today.

What does your favorite shirt look like?  At the moment I’m obsessed with my Vante shirt. It’s fanmade but it was made tastefully; the designs aren’t too loud and I love the cute little shoutouts and tributes to his past paintings, so it had been a ridiculously easy decision for me to want to buy it.

What kind of underwear do you prefer wearing?  Eh I don’t really have a preference as long as I don’t find them uncomfy.

What are your favorite kind of jeans?  I’m definitely still stuck in my mom jeans phase. Idk man, I just love how they match nearly all kinds of tops.

What do the last pair of shoes you wore look like?  They were adidas sneakers. Not a big fan of chunky shoes but it’s an Ivy Park and it was on a big discount HAHAHA so I didn’t hesitate to get them.

How many shoes do you own?  A little more than 10. I love shoes and wanna collect them someday...just not today, hahaha.

How much jewelry do you own?  Not too big on jewelry; most, if not all the ones I wear are just borrowed from my mom since we share the same style anyway.

Do you own any real diamonds or other expensive jewelry?  Yeah, the ones I would borrow from my mom are pretty pricey.

Has anyone ever gave you jewelry as a present?  Yes, I received rings and necklaces from my ex. One of my aunts also gave me a necklace when I turned 7.

Do you like diamonds or gemstones better?  I just stick with diamonds...which is...also a gemstone too, if I’m not mistaken.

Department Two: Electronics

Do you have a DVD player in your car?  Not in mine, but we do have one in the family car. I used to watch movies on there often but after one grueling road trip where my motion sickness acted up, I haven’t wanted to use it since.

If you have one, what does your camera/camcorder look like?  I just use the camera in my phone but back in the day I used to have a DSLR; that was when I thought I wanted to take up photography, heh. It was a Nikon D3100.

How much did it cost?  I’m not sure since my dad gave it to me as a present, but a quick search told me it would’ve cost him around P20,000 which issssss wow more expensive than I thought.

What kind of cellphone do you have?  I have an iPhone 8 with an LCD screen that’s deteriorating by the day HAHA. I really need to get a new phone.

How often do you send texts?  I text just for work purposes now, so it really depends on how busy my accounts are. Some days would require me to send out more texts than usual.

Do you have your own computer or does your family share?  I have my own laptop. My workplace also provided me with what’s supposed to be my work laptop, but they had it sent to me when I was already a couple of months into my job and all my needed files and programs were already in my personal laptop. Since I was too lazy to start everything all over again, I’ve never actually used the work laptop haha.

How many computers are in your house?  We have three laptops in total - my siblings and I each have our own. Kind of a necessity these days.

Do you still have a VCR?  I don’t think so.

How many DVDs do you own?  We probably have around 30-50 but most of them are movies from like the 2000s that we just haven’t thrown out. Personally, I have about five DVDs of old films like Gone with the Wind, Rebel Without A Cause, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, etc, and recently I’ve been buying BTS merch so DVDs are part of that mix too.

Does your car have a GPS?  No. I use Waze on my phone instead.

What kind of iPod/MP3 player do you have? Haven’t used an iPod in like a literal decade. I use Spotify for my music.

How many songs are on it?  Spotify doesn’t work that way since it’s technically a database of songs.

What size is your TV?  Never bothered to ask/check.

How many TVs are in your house?  Four. Living room, dining room, master bedroom, my brother’s room.

What video game systems do you have?  We have a PS3 and PS4. 

What about handhelds?  Switch. I believe my sister also still has her DSi stored somewhere.

How many video games do you have?  Probably somewhere around 50-60. My dad and brother are content with repeating their games lol.

Department Three: Home

What kind of shampoo do you use?  It’s a Dove variant but I’m just blanking out on the specific name/what it does.

Soap or shower gel?  Shower gel.

What does your comforter look like?  It’s pretty colorful and has geometric shapes and lines.

Does it match your pillows?  Yep, they come in a set.

What size is your bed?  Twin.

Do you or your parents like to decorate the house with various things or is it plain?  My mom puts considerable effort in decorating the house but it’s nothing overboard that it feels tacky. There’s enough decor in enough spaces.

Does the furniture in your house match?  Sure. I imagine my mom would be very irritated if she felt something was uncoordinated at home.

What does your couch look like?  It’s a gray L-shaped couch. Gabie broke a portion of the couch’s springs when it had only spent its like first two weeks at home but surprisingly my mom has not noticed it yet; probably because she barely sits on that side.

How many does your dining room/kitchen table seat?  It has six chairs, though since we’re five one of the chairs is almost always unoccupied.

Do you have any fancy china?  No, my mom isn’t the type to collect those.

Do you have outside furniture?  Yeah we have a table and chairs up on the rooftop, if they count.

What do your curtains look like?  My siblings and I have pull-down blinds. The other rooms have these pulled-back gold curtains that’s accompanied by white sheers.

Department Four: Grocery

What kind of bread do you get?  Sliced white bread, always. Sometimes my mom will pick up pan de sal, but she gets those from a certain bakery and no longer the grocery.

What is your favorite kind of cake?  CHEEEEEEEEEESECAAAAAAAKE.

Do you get a lot of sweets from the grocery store?  Eh, nah. Not a big fan of sweets.

What kind of soda is your favorite?  Don’t like soda.

Do you drink juice? What kind?  I can take it or leave it. I wouldn’t buy it for myself.

What is your favorite chewing gum?  Doesn’t matter to me. The flavors last for only like a minute anyway.

Do you usually get candy from the check-out aisle?  Nah. Those are far more accessible so who knows who could’ve touched or tampered with them. Plus, I mentioned I don’t like sweets.

What is your favorite soup?  Miso or cream of mushroom.

Have you ever had soup when you were sick?  No. I don’t enjoy hot beverages/liquids very much so I doubt I would feel comfort from soup when I’m sick.

What are your favorite canned vegetables?  Not sure if it’s a cultural difference thing but canned vegetables kind of sound gross and I don’t think I’ve encountered those (I actually had to look it up lol). My parents always buy fruits and veggies as is.

What do you eat for breakfast?  Fried rice is a constant but my mom switches up the set of viands every time. Some of the meals she serves would be hotdogs, eggs (either scrambled, omelette, fried, or sunny-side up), corned beef, dried fish, hashbrowns, luncheon meat, tapa, and Vienna sausages. Poptarts or toaster strudels?  Poptarts. I’ve never had toaster strudel and I’m honestly not sure what that is.

What salad dressing do you prefer?  Spicy mayo.

Ketchup, mayonnaise, or mustard?  MAYONNAISE. I can live without the other two.

What kind of cookie do you like best?  I only ever eat chocolate chip.

What kind of snacks do you get at the grocery store?  Salted egg chips or Pringles. Not a big fan of snacks either. This survey is making me realize I’m way more into full meals than anything else.

Do you get the meat from the deli?  Er, we don’t have delis here. Too fancy a concept lmao. If we have them, they are most likely in those extremely upscale, boujee neighborhoods.

What is your favorite frozen dinner?  I mean my dad buys frozen meat, fish, etc, but the frozen dinner sets that I see in American culture, which I’m guessing is what’s being referred to in this question, are not common here.

Do you prefer frozen dinners to actual cooking?  I honestly can’t imagine how it’s filling, but then again I’ve never tried it. Personally, food made from scratch is still the best.

What is your favorite kind of pasta?  Fettuccine.

Do you eat meat? And if not, do you eat vegetarian meat?  Yes, I eat meat. I get vegan options if they’re accessible and affordable, but those choices are hard to come by here.

What is your favorite fruit?  Avocado is really the only one I’ll give a pass to. Everything else tastes horrible.

What about vegetable?  Broccoli, bell peppers, green beans.

Department Five: Health And Beauty

What kind of makeup do you normally use?  None. If I absolutely have to put on makeup, I will begrudgingly put on foundation, maybe some eyeliner, and lip gloss. And they will all most likely be borrowed from my sister.

Do you wear more makeup on special events?  Not necessarily.

What is your favorite makeup brand?  I wouldn’t be the right person to ask because I would just say none of them.

Do you use any acne products?  Mmm no, I just splash water on my face, really. I actually got into a conversation about skincare with my co-workers yesterday and besides the usual shocked experessions I get when people find out I don’t use products, they recommended I at least get moisturizer and sunscreen. Idk, let’s see but historically it’s been hard to convince me to invest in skincare haha.

What kind of perfume do you use?  I have one of Beyoncé’s perfumes, Heat Rush. I don’t actually know if that’s still in production but it’s been my staple for like a decade or so now.

Have you ever been on a diet?  No. I never really had to be on one.

What products do you use in your hair?  Shampoo and conditioner.

How often do you brush your hair?  Only when I have to leave the house or have an important virtual work meeting.

What do you take when you have an upset stomach?  Nothing. The toilet usually solves that for me lol.

What is your favorite movie of all time?  It’s been Two for the Road for a solid nine years and it doesn’t look like anything’s on its way to dethroning it anytime soon.

What genre of movie do like best?  Drama. The more realistic it is, the better.

What was the last movie you watched?  It’s a Korean film called Be With You. I liked it and I cried waterfalls, but the ending was so rushed it was kind of disappointing.

What was the last movie you purchased?  I don’t buy movies. If I wanted to see a film I’ll check if Netflix has it, then if they don’t I just try to scour one of those illegal movie streaming sites that always happen to have thousands of pornographic ads hahaha.

What is your all time favorite band? Paramore. Do you still buy CDs?  Only from artists I’m an extremely huge fan of. Right now that would be BTS, so I’m catching up on all the albums they’ve released in the last eight years.

What was the last CD you bought?  I got the Butter album set, if that counts. If it doesn’t, the last full-length album I purchased was Dark & Wild.

How often do you work out?  Nope but at work my boss just started another fitness challenge, so I’ll probably have to get back on working out soon just because I would want to accomplish the challenge.

Are you in good shape?  Sure, I think so. I’m not like fit fit because I neveeer exercise haha, but I also don’t make it a point to constantly eat unhealthy foods or have an unhealthy lifestyle to the point that it affects my body.

Do you go to a gym?  I do not. I thought of getting a membership at the start of the year but I’m glad I didn’t push through with it because all the gyms are still closed anyway.

1) How many works in progress do you currently have?  Well... if I tell you, I look so slacky? Idk, I have one original and probably nine(!?) fanfics atm.

2) Do you/would you write fanfiction? Yes, it’s very relaxing :D

3) Do you prefer paper books or ebooks? I live in a tiny space, so most of my paper books are stored at my parents’ place, but I have my trusty(also old) Kindle that I regularly get new ebooks for(Or DL fics off archive, for example)

4) When did you start writing? 
Before I knew that writing my stories down was a Thing, I used to tell myself consecutive coherent stories when I was trying to fall asleep, roughly at a chapter a night - after I was finished with my actual bedtime reading ;)

5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
 I have tried looking for a beta - especially for my longfic - but so far without luck, so I’ll have to say “limited” no, because I do talk about my work to people online without showing them the drafts and such xD

6) Where is your favorite place to write?
 I have a super comfy ergonomic chair that cost more than I’m willing to think about, and that’s where I do most of my reading, though I’ve also been known to pack up my laptop and migrate to the local library a few times a month.

7) Favorite childhood book?
 Honestly couldn’t say. Probably something written by Tamora Pierce, depending on age, but I know that I’ve borrowed and read at least two thousand books from my local library before the age of 16, so there’d be a lot of ‘favourites’ to remember! Currently I’m rereading Diana Gabaldoni’s Outlander series.

8) Writing for fun or publication?
 Mainly for fun. I write to tell myself stories about my favourite characters; that you lot get to read along is a happy accident on my part and I solely blame a Scotsman known as Azi for my posting fics at all.

9) Pen and paper or computer?
 Computer. However, I keep a pad by my bed because the muse tends to troll me around 4:30 but the story is gone by the time I open my laptop... sigh.

10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?
 Nope. I have, however, taken grammar studies and business writing at university, but other than that I am a voracious reader who developed a knack for writing by seeing it done(done well, or badly, there’s a lesson in both types of writing!)

11) What inspires you to write?
Anything. Often it’s drawings - especially since I started writing on tumblr - or it’s someone talking to me about fangirly things that make me go “Well, I think THIS is what happened....” and sometimes it’s a character appearing in my head and telling me that I have been neglecting them and should rectify it ponto.

i- as an american doing pretty damn well job of pulling off as british- do not like to do american-like things. such having having wet and cringe humour, being unnecessarily loud, being blatantly ignorant on world culture/affairs (no offence), and especially opening myself up. one thing i’ve noticed is that brits always keep to themselves and rarely discuss thier deep feelings and thoughts with other people. they’re not very open to tel you their life story, and i’m the same way.not to say that i’m not down to earth, bc i very much am. i just stay quaint when it comes to public situations. that being said, my journey and story on my sexuality is very personal, deep and complicated, and unfortunately, i feel like i have to go into massive detail on what’s all happened and how it’s impacted me. it’ll make me vulnerable, but easier to understand and empathise with. this is going to be a particularly long read tho.

the date is 07/07/2010. it was the summer before the 7th grade and i had just realised my sexuality only a few months earlier. the worst night of my life. the night my parents found out about my sexuality. i was only 12. but the way the found out was rather quite stupid and embarrassing (no i wasn’t wanking and it wasn’t porn). at the time, i didn't have a phone. and my favourite show would come on at 1 am. but i didn't feel like staying up late, so what i did was borrow my grandmas phone and set an alarm. well in the alarm it had an option for a message. well my dumbass self put “get the hell up you bisexual fucker”. yeah. well, when my grandma went to puerto rico for a funeral, she left her phone bc she wouldn’t have any service over there. and i had forgotten to take off that alarm. so my mom is just going thru the phone (idk why) and she happens to come across it. she calls me downstairs and confronts me about it. after about 10 minutes what seems like an interrogation ( and me not talking, i felt as tho i had no choice but to admit it). they started crying and told me how its never okay even if the world says it is, and they brought up sodom and gomorrah and told me i needed to have a long prayer. my relationship with them hasn't never really been the same since then. so after that, i kinda ignored thinking about my sexuality. i would just go thru my day, occasionally look at gay pictures at night, then go to sleep. then, toward the end of 7th grade, i ended up taking nudes and sending them on http://showyourdick.com (terrible, i know) and they. ended. up. seeing. the. pics. it made things a shit tonne worse. i was still closeted at school, i had been accused of being gay as early as 4th grade, before i even knew i was gay (im actually bi/pan, but lets just use the word gay for now). fast foward to the beginning of 9th grade (late 2012). i had already been stanning nicki for almost a year, but i was still closeted. i also had a tumblr account(not this one). not only did i still kinda feel bad about being gay, but i was terribly insecure as well. i ended up starting to cut myself around late September. but for a while it was only on my thighs bc i didnt want anyone to see. later, in january 2013, i was feeling really depressed one night, and i kinda went on a cutting tirade. (trigger warning) i even cut my arm. i remember feeling the warm blood running down my leg and feeling dizzy, with my ears fogging up and nearly passing out in the bathroom. this next part may sound wierd. maybe its just me, maybe it was the fogging in my ears, idk. but i remember hearing nickis voice, almost aloud, and she said Stop. crazy init.  the next morning, i got really scared, bc my sleeve wouldn't completely cover up the scars. well, one of my teachers saw (i still dont know who) and reported it to the office, and one of the guidance counselors called my parents and told them. another really bad day. the next day, my guidance counselor called me down, even the principle came in the room. they told me they were sending me to a place where i would have therapy. i agreed to it, but i wasnt aware that i would be forced to spend 3 nights there. its called being Baker Acted.  the deputy at my school called my mom and told her where they were taking me but they didn't tell her i was required by law to spend 72 consecutive hours there. so when she came to pick me up that night, thats when she found out. needless to say she was crying. alot. and as if it wasn't bad enough, it just so happened to be her wedding anniversary.  i end up relapsing 2 more times after that whole ordeal. the last time was march 9th, 2013. so things temporarily improve for the summer. i ended up (finally) coming out to my closest friends. but i never made a big deal out of it. like i never made a big post on facebook or IG or anything. I kinda just let people figure it out and have their own assumptions. so september rolls around and i end up getting depressed again (september is always a bad month for me) but i promised myself i wouldnt cut myself again. so i end up overdosing. alot. 7 pills at a time. (it was just vyvanse tho, its not like it was percs or oxycodone.) so my parents went thru my texts and they found out about what i was doing and thats when the trust begins to deterioate again. they would always take away my phone at night. they said its bc of some report they saw on the news where having your phone in your room while your sleeping is unhealthy (which.. they were right. but it’s ovbious that wasn’t the real reason they took it.) it was bloody annoying. but back then, they would only take it on school nights, and sometimes i would sneak it back, and although they got mad, they wouldn't really do anything about it. also, as you could’ve probably guessed, i had downloaded a couple of gay apps because i was curious. the first time i downloaded grindr, i was in the 8th grade. and it wasn't the only app i would download. there was also hornet and jack’d. well, theres this one guy who i ended up talking to. and i end up sending nudes to him on kik. and my parents end up going through my kik. this was in december 2013. my horny self was just tryna hookup. welp. they see the messages. things go downfuckinghill fast. they barge into my room, one second they're yelling at me shoving the screen in my face and then the next thing I know my dad is shoves me down and kicks me multiple times, and my mom ends up calling the police and filing a report. to say it was traumatising is an understatement. but because it's kik, theres not much they can do. this renders me phoneless all the way until june of 2015. and at this point i wanna take a little bit of a detour. bc i almost feel as though my life as a normal teenager has been robbed.

some of you may ask why i didn’t move in with relatives or just file a report to social services.

they wouldn't let me. and bc they're broke and aren't good at finances, that's what they (we’re) doing anyway. my family is living with my grandparents for like the 4th time since i was born. so they change the password in my phone and im only allowed to use it when they say (this is february 2014, roughly) and i have to be in the same room as them. and then in march, something goes wrong with my phone and it wont read the SIM card. so now i can't even call or text.  things just didn’t get better that year. its summer 2014, and now they suddenly change the password to my laptop. (they still won't tell me the password). i started crying and begged them to change it back. so they did. but just a month later, on July 11th, they change it. and its stayed that way. so now its june of 2015. they buy me a new phone, but they said there are "rules for having the phone" and they take it away every night. well, in november, i had downloaded grindr. theres this feature on my phone where i can hide an app, but one day, back in november, i forgot to hide the app. so they saw it. and they didn't even open the app (it was password locked) and i refused to give them the password. so now im phoneless.... again. and this time they wouldn't even let me use it... at all. so i went back to having to use my grandmas phone and computer to log onto Twitter. for the longest time, i could only be on twitter from 4-8pm on weekdays bc thats whenever i had access. fast foward to april 2016 and im taking a college class across town. all of a sudden, my mom hands me my phone, and im shocked. she says im only having it on a "limited basis". so for about a month, im only allowed to use it outside the house, but they eventually let up. every once in a while, we still get into an argument about it.  may 2016: its time for me to choose what college to go to. my mom had made me apply to a christian university about 30 miles away. i didnt wanna go, but the other college i had been looking at had ran into financial trouble, the big public university in my city didn't accept me, and i didn't wanna go to a community college. plus, the christian university (southeastern University) offered me a bunch of money in scholarships. and i honestly felt forced to go. by august of 2016, things start to drastically change. most of it is in a good way, but there are still some things that are... iffy, for lack of a better term. i’m beginning to lose weight and my grades are actually good for once, but my phone is still taken way at night all the way to december, when they finally stop. then in january 2017, i am finally able to buy an iphone. at this point, everything sort of catches up to the previous post. there’s still loads for me to explain but this is enough for now.

on a side note, it’s amazing how different things are for me now after looking back at all that. i still can’t believe that we are in 2019 and that i graduated high school nearly 3 years ago. i’m gobsmacked at how much i have changed since then. it’s a lot to ponder on. and i’m glad to say that i’m currently at the happiest place i’ve been in for years. maybe ever.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

First entry: 14/06/2017 Okay, I haven’t done this in a long time. It has been 3 years since my last blogging while traveling. So last time back in osa peninsula writing down my travel adventures and editing into the computer along with other travelers notes was actually part of my job. One of the best jobs I ever had, actually hahahah. So, since today I only went for one screening and I have like all day to spend, and just failed to make some internet payments I needed to do I figured that you know, screw it, Ima start writing again.

Spoiler warning, my writing sucks.

It’s been almost a week since I left CR, crossing the big charco, 12 hours of flight, I actually made a friend there. Luckily enough my seat partner was a fellow-solo backpacker! Half Swiss half guanaco. He left me his number to save it as: Curdin Bass el Mae suizo. Funny dude, hope to see him again someday. I had a stop in Germany, I almost broke a door in the airport and one of the airport ladies got REALLY mad at me: NO!!!!WHAT ARE YOU DOING! EVERYTHING IS SUPPOSED TO BE AUTOMATIC! She don’t fool me, I know what she REALLY wanted to say was something like: WHY ARE YOU SUCH A DUMB FUCK?! I KNOW U DID IT IN PURPOSE U FUCKING CUNT! I just ran away as fas as I could. Luckily, my parent’s goddaughter works in that specific airport, she got me coffee and a huge sandwich, and left me in the other plane. She is really cool.

There is a raven by my window, never seen one before, they are HUGE and noisy and pretty. Also lots of swans , like back at Lyon. I was there for a couple of days. First day I got lost, and honestly, it sucks to get lost with no wifi, no language and no one willing to help you. Well, not no one, after asking every parked taxi ever, one of them actually took his time to help me. And drove me near the place. there it was close to an hotel where a girl working there let me borrow the hotel phone to call for my roommate. And the hotel supervisor showed me the way walking me to my exact appartment! He must’ve thought I’m an idiot who can’t get addresses, actually I can’t! I’m from CR the country of no addresses! But everything was finally good.

I love the people who are kind to me whenever I’m about to, you know, collapse in tears in a foreign country. Luckily that hasn’t happened yet. Next day was so much better, I finally got internet on my cellphone and you know I actually knew where I was all the time, thank you citymapper. The days are long and hot, the nights are short and hot. Carrying this bag with so much unnecessary shit is tiring, but hey, rookie mistake. I got a train to annecy, nobody asked for my ticket which was expensive af! I could tell everyone in the train was going to the festival, whole lot of dorks with we bear bears bags. Did I mention annecy is beautiful? They have a huge lake with clean water and swans? They travel mostly by bike and scooters? All the food ever is delicious? And of course, animators everywhere, lots of movies to see, I met Robert Valley and I don’t know why, but I got a feeling he would be all angry to sign stuff, like, he would be all cranky and famousy air famous people have for some reason. but that just made me realize how much of a judgmental asshole I am, because he was a total sweetheart, he said something that maybe sounds cheesy but I dunno, coming from him in my head I automatically made it 10 times more relevant. He said he liked feeling fear, and that it reminded him he is alive. He also mentioned meditation stuff, I like him. I talked to animators from around everywhere, it’s kind of cool, a lot of people have made their own short films, and at the screenings there is a whole culture of paying respects to every short film or movie that appears, coming from a place where an animator is socially treated poorly this is pretty motivating to see. I hope to grow more, this last couple of days have felt like someone ripped my head open and just filled a lot of new things in. I’m very glad I did this, even if sometimes it gets a little overwhelming. So yeah, told you my writing sucks 💁

Through your car window so it's very limited contact with one person and they load up your groceries and you sit and wait in the car.

Idk where you live and if they have a ban but here in New Mexico we can drive anywhere in the state. And hotels are still operating. So drive to the next city and get a hotel for a night.

Its okay in many areas to do so. Even in NYC you can book a room.

But if we have to social distance. And we are in our cars following traffic laws and just driving without getting out of our cars. Then we are obeying the rules.

Now as long as you remember to say "we're doing this in case you get lost (or kidnapped) or get a ride from your friend's parent that i said you could and you can make sure you can tell them how to get home and/or make sure they're going the right ways to get home"

Then for sure a cop can't tell you you can't.

Just in case neighborhood watch don't recognize your car... And calls you in. And you have the little one repeat the lessons to you because you explain it So in case you do get stopped then they know what they are doing in the car with you. And the SMS if the cop check it will also notify "safe distance patrol" which means all you need is verification you live there. Car registration or ID is preferred. That is for a worried cop. What it does actually signal is "having fun let's join in, too" So, when or if you see the cop you can pull over and they can give you tips on being safe if the cop wants interaction currently they probably will not pull over because of social distancing. Because home invasions will often use the victims car, if a a person inside is moving around or the cop senses something not,right they will pull over the car to double check. I feel like this needs to be addressed.

If someone has on again, off again activity on the internet, either monthly or even over a year, with close to 0 warning or announcement about the sudden absence (or even just a quick "hey gonna disappear for a while idk how long, later"), please try treating the issue gently, if they're a close friend of yours or you've got bad anxiety, or whatever the situation is. The issue may be completely out of their control.

For the past 4+ years, I've had that unstable activity on the web. This is mainly due to my parents (who truly do care for me) not being comfortable with me communicating to strangers through IM or places like Tumblr, anywhere that has the slightest possibility of communication with someone malicious (like a middle-aged pedo or something). Now yes, I sometimes didn't make smart decisions online, that's expected, but at the same time, I knew the risk and I was willing to take it. I took some precautions ahead of time. This didn't matter to my parents regardless of the extent, and this has resulted in having my phone taken away for months or years at a time.

And that was my only means of online interaction, besides using school library computers, borrowing friends phones, and sneaking through the house past midnight to go to a device I could use. My anxiety became mortifying as I had to resort to acting like a sketchy criminal/dealer just to see if my friends have posted another meme or need emotional support. I couldn't use a computer or a phone (unless for random google searches when I'm wondering how the fuck to grow tomatoes, after asking to borrow my parent's phone). In terms of accessibility to the internet, I was unplugged. Completely. And sneaking online felt like stealth missions that could easily get me killed.

So I would be active for weeks, practically spamming memes, or blurting out headcanons at some ungodly hour—for an hour each day— and then absolute silence. Not even a notice that I'd be travelling or whatever. And with the majority of my friends having the same shitty anxiety I do, most of them would jump to conclusions, messaging me at least once a day, asking if I'm ok. I wouldn't respond for God knows how long, because I'm struggling to find a way to sneak online without getting my emotions torn apart by another punishment.

To this day I am still going to specific websites in secrecy, despite having my own phone that shockingly doesn't have a parental monitoring app installed. I've gotten smarter, sure. Installed an app-hider, opening private tabs, etc... But dammit, doing this every day is eating me alive. I went through hell trying to get a better compromise out of my parents with the help of my counselor, but it wasn't enough, and never will be enough until the day I get to live my own life and move out. And I'm still too embarrassed to talk about this with any of my friends, online or offline. I mean, shit, I act like I'm an addict and can only talk to my dealer through the internet, people might as well think I got caught watching freaky illegal porn or overdosing or whatever.

So please try to not assume the worst in someone that suddenly gives you dead silence, at least for your own peace of mind and mine. Who knows, the other person might be trying their damn hardest to reach you again. They just need more time. Sure, they might just be another internet pal that drifts off over the years, or another weirdo that decides to quit the internet for the hell of it. But they might also be developing mental ailments that won't stop growing, clawing their way back to you to let you know they're ok, they're not dead, but also remind you that they're so thankful for having a friend like you. And yet they can't, not now, not yet. Maybe some day. Hopefully soon. But they're trying.
