I came out for the jams but now it looks like I'm gonna be fronting for a while. Oh well, might as well yap and have a snack.

My name is Bluefire, and my defining trait as an alter is that I am cringe, I am free, and I go against the grain. My official role in SimplyPlural is "Fuck All" because I don't fucking care what anyone thinks about me.

Edgelord? Yes. Eboy style? Yes. Fictive? Kinda, yes. Very source divergent from formation but that's even better/worse amiright? Depends on who you ask. XD If I were a furry my fursona would be a sparkledog.

Let's see. I'm 16 so don't get weird. Uh, I'm a nonbinary aboy, he/it pronouns. And I'm nonbinary in a very countercultural, fuck-the-system kinda way. I'm nonbinary in the same way someone would call themself punk. And about half the time I DO prefer the "it" pronoun.

My world is pretty cyberpunk. My parents are pretty high up in that society but they're never around enough to notice how much of a menace to their society I really am, just by participating in the underground gaming sphere. UvU I lead a glorious double life in my world. I miss it.

I don't have much else to say right now. This is my alter intro btw, if you couldn't tell. And remember, Cringe Culture is dead because I say so.

Should i keep reblogging invader zim stuff here or should i let it fade to the bottom of my blog while i become myself? And post all my content? Like what do i do after everything? Does it even matter ? Will they come after me later ? In the future, when im reading this and things are moving, will there be issues with copyright or my existence? Will people be so pressed about IZ And my resemblance that it will ruin things? Could it help? Will this be a problem?

you know, if we're going to go after all flavors of fucked-up terumob for supposedly not being a tenable premise, or somehow 'missing the point'? one can easily argue the same for fluffy terumob.

given all the in-canon trauma standing between these boys, terumob as a concept is on some shaky-ass legs: teruki is projecting a fuckton of worship unhealthy idealism onto shigeo, and shigeo has every right to be wary of/angry about teruki's attempt to end him, for as long as it takes him.

they're still on family name terms at the end of the story, and teruki is still trying to get shigeo to spend more time with him. ONE leaves us with a long shot at anything between these two beyond casual friendship. (unless teruki is more forthright about what he wants? or shigeo realizes he can reciprocate?)

and the pair both have so much healing to do from the pain they've caused each other. whether they do so together or apart, it's gonna look ugly, perhaps for years.

i actually want to see that, too.

there's nothing wrong with sweet, tender wish fulfillment. there's also nothing wrong with examining how trauma can realistically play out in courtship or dating. and teenagers are not immune to toxic dynamics in relationships! if you truly believe this, i have a bridge i wanna sell you.

fluff does not mirror my experience of childhood in the slightest, but i'm not gonna shake my fists at its creators, and i'm not salty that it exists. it's beautiful. guess what? so is mogamiland terumob. so is codependent terumob. shame on all of you who felt it was OK to harass anyone for them.

people create AUs and draw and write for fun, and not everyone finds comfort or enjoyment in the same things. there should be room here for a wider range of emotional expressions. i mean, there sure is in the source material.

I got a comment that was like ... people are only mad about film Faramir because he doesn't act exactly the way they personally imagined him, and tbh I'm torn between being annoyed at how deeply disingenuous that argument is and slightly impressed at the sheer audacity of pinning the Faramir Controversy on difference from random people's headcanons rather than the book itself.

...then I got to thinking about how the whole time-consuming and wildly out of character handling of the temptation of the Ring is one thing, and justifiably gets a lot of attention, but Faramir allowing his soldiers to beat Gollum for information is quite comparable in my mind. They're his men! Gollum is an unarmed prisoner! I guess it's meant to show the exigencies of war or something and I'm just like ... hahaha no.

In a way it reminds me of film Aragorn just straight up killing the Mouth of Sauron in a way that seems meant to show their desperation in a badass cathartic way, and meanwhile, I'm thinking ... oh, our heroes murder ambassadors now. I feel like it's the same underlying kind of rationale, and quite far from not matching people's headcanons.
