this is an idea i had a while back that i really liked, and i don't have the chance to use it rn so i'm tossing it into the void like peanuts to a flock of crows:
using empty bottles for communication spells. the exact details i'm unsure of, but we have the age old tale of messages in bottles floating their way across the sea--there might be something there worth looking into for magical purposes

Black Salt Spell for the Garden
Most of my free time is spent in the garden. Rain or shine, that's most likely where you'll find me. I also work with a deity of nature and plants. So it makes sense that most of my magic is garden related.
This is an idea that came to me while researching different organic powdered fertilizers. I started mixing different ingredients together based on what my plants needed and it was hard to not think of making black salt.
The two most common components of black salt are salt and charcoal. While we all know salt and plants don't mix, charcoal has been used in farming for at least 2,500 years in the form of Terra Preta aka, biochar. The salt can be replaced with epsom salt -which has magnesium, a valuable element for plant health- and you have a garden safe and beneficial soil amendment for your plants!
For the most basic approach to this recipe I recommend one part crushed biochar to 3-4 parts epsom salt.
But we can make this more special with the addition of more ingredients. Some examples:
Coffee Grounds after you brew your coffee you can dry out the used grounds and add them to the black salt base. Coffee is a great source of nitrogen and, contrary to popular belief, the used grounds won't add acidity to your soil. Some sources used coffee grounds for focus, luck, grounding no pun intended, or for speeding up a spell.
Tea Leaves similar to coffee, used tea leaves are a good nitrogen source and the microbes and worms in the soil will appreciate the already broken down bio matter. When tea is brewed with a specific intention that intention is passed into the tea leaves as well making them an excellent spell ingredient.
Wood Ashes incense ash is a popular addition to black salt, sometimes replacing charcoal altogether. Incense ash can be added to garden safe black salt, though I can't speak to its mundane benefits. Wood ash has an NPK ratio of 0-1-3 making it high in potassium as well as many micronutrients that can feed your soil. Saving the ashes form ritual fires can imbue the salt with that same energy. Wood ash will make your soil more alkaline so keep it away from acid loving plants like blueberries!
Egg Shells are full of calcium which is necessary for the structure of cell walls in plants. Save your egg shells after cooking and let them dry out before crushing them into as fine a powder as you can, then add them to the salt. The calcium won't be available to your plants for about one year as the shells break down s l o w l y but I like to use this to my advantage in spell work. Egg shells can be used for protection and fertility so that can be a year long protection or fertility spell.
Store bought Powdered fertilizers there are a plethora of powdered fertilizers/ amendments available at garden centers that can be added for their magical associations or just their mundane uses. I like to add Azomite to all my garden beds, its full of minerals that help out microorganisms in the soil, but I also recommend blood meal, bone meal, or ground oyster shell, depending on what your garden needs. I like the brand Down to Earth because you can buy single ingredient boxes or well balanced mixed fertilizers.
Basically, anything that would break down in a compost pile and can be dried can be added to this garden safe black salt. Trust your intuition and listen to your garden, If you pay attention it'll tell you what it needs.

Just a wee spell/ritual I use for moving past old obsessions :)
I made this because personally, for me, obsessions (specifically over media and stories) go one of two ways: either they settle nicely into my life and I continue to be fond of them but I have no issues moving on OR, whenever I return to this media or hear about it I am delved back into the obsession, whether there was Closure or not, and it doesn’t necessarily make me feel happy anymore to keep thinking about it. This is a little spell to help my mind move on and open me up to new stories.
All you need for this spell is a tray or dish or shallow bowl (cookie trays work GREAT) and a rock. I like to use a river rock because Symbolism, but any rock will do- don’t use a crystal though, not unless you KNOW the crystal is in no way soluble. And some paper and a pen. Ideally, you also got an open window with some space in front of it for witchery, but thats mostly an add-on.
Put water in the dish and put the dish in front of the window- ideally, an open one, like I said. Hold the rock and envision it is you; if you want, you can write your name on it, sigil it, put your favorite perfume on it, but this isn’t necessary. The rock is you. When something is not worth holding on to, it slips right off down the current. Place it in the center of the dish, maybe poking out of the water, maybe not, with a good few inches of space on either side.
If you have music that is associated with whatever obsession you are looking to release, you can listen to that if you like- especially if this is a soundtrack, look for songs near the end that play over “final” scenes and where closure is reached. On a small piece of paper, write down the name of your obsession, what you liked about it, what it taught you, what itch it scratched, what made it stand out. If this is small enough, you can fold it in half like a tent and float it on the water; if your paper is too big, get a second smaller piece and write only the name or maybe a symbol/logo before making your little floaty tent. You could also make some other kind of fancy origami thing but I don’t know how to do that so, I haven’t tried it.
Anyway, set the paper on the water and gently blow it (or allow the wind to blow it) towards the rock that is you. Say or think, “when [obsession] came to me, it was what I needed in order to grow and learn,” here, you can tell it any of the things you have to say. When you’re ready, blow the paper past the rock and say, “Now, I have taken what I needed. I release [obsession] now, knowing I can pull it back to me should I ever need it again. Thank you, [obsession]. I will be moving on now, but you helped me a lot,” now, you can dispose of the paper however you like.
Finally, as an extra step, I like to ask the wind not to bring me any more news or thoughts of this obsession, and to instead bring me something new. If I was following certain creators on social media who made a lot of content for that obsession, I will stop following them, if that feels right. I will not allow myself to rewatch or relisten or reread the obsession for a predetermined amount of time, for instance, a month, so I have some space.
I hope this helps someone- I know it’s helped me a couple times- if you try it out, let me know! I’ve never shared a spell before and I want to know if it works for other people.

Fireball but it expands the area of effect to specifically hit all your teammates.
Mildly Upset Person.

New idea for a spell category/type (or a spell catalyst)
Inspiration: the words/item "fire starter"
Basically, just replace fire with something else.
A spell that has to do with bodies (necromancy, healing?, Idk what else)? Body starter.
A spell plant magic? Fertilizer starter. Plant starter. Growth starter.
And many more!
Idk, I just feel like there are many possibilities here (a lot of them funny ones)

I think a cool spell idea would be to create a terrarium out of planetary aligned plants and add a bunch of miniatures that correlate to a goal. The more the plants thrive the more the goal is energized. You can put a sigil in the middle on a rock too, just to focus the goal.
Like for a Venusian goal, fill a terrarium with Venusian plants and then create a little set inside of you looking beautiful (maybe make a little wooden of clay figure). It is made in the shape of whatever you want (you without scars, abs, etc). If you want to do it for the purpose of being adored, you can then plant a bunch of miniature eyes and cameras on toothpicks around it and place it in the center. Then you can make a sigil in a Venusian hour on Friday on a rock, consecrate it, include an instruct that says it’s charged every time it’s watered and that it draws power from Venusian plants. Then place that in the center as well and take regular care of the terrarium, making sure to regularly reconsecrate the sigil or something.
Planetary + sigil + sympathetic magic
