Markatasana Spine Twist Yoga Pose 💁🏻‍♀️ Benefits 🔹 Reduce tension in the spine and gives it a good stretch. 🔹 It is an excellent yoga pose to cure back pain related issues. 🔹 It Brings flexibility in the back muscles. 🔹 It is an effective yoga pose to prevent constipation, indigestion and gastric problems. 🔹 Calms your body. 💁🏻‍♀️ How to do? 👉🏻 Lie down straight on your back. 👉🏻 Both the hands raised to the level of the shoulders. Palms facing upwards. 👉🏻 Fold both of your legs from the knees and while breathing in (inhaling) turn to the left side as much as you can. 👉🏻 Turn your neck to the right side, that is towards the opposite side from the legs and hold this position for 20-30 seconds. 👉🏻 Now while exhaling (Breathing out) come to the starting position. 👉🏻 Repeat the same steps for the right side. 👩🏾‍💻✨ Sore back, cartilage compression, neck and shoulder stiffness, blurred vision and tight hamstrings are all results of an 8+ work hour day at the desk. According to Annals of Internal Medicine, sitting for extended periods of time increases your risk of disease and even shortens life span. After working almost 10 years in an office setting, I can attest to the stiff and achy feeling that comes along with working a job which involves mostly sitting. . . It is important for professionals to incorporate intervals of movement throughout the day to keep the body supple, aligned and maintain proper blood circulation. By spending at least 10 minutes doing yoga related movement or meditation, you reap the benefits of a balanced and more energized work day. You also won't want to slap your co-workers due to lowered stress levels. #bonus . . Spinal twists are great and easy to do right your desk. They help to restore proper spinal alignment and aid in healthy digestion. By taking a moment at your desk to twist your body you may also experience: improved posture, increased lung capacity, and improved focus. Below is a great way to practice spinal twisting at your desk. * Turn sideways in your chair. * Plant both feet to the ground nice and firm. * Hold on to the back of the chair with both hands and twist from the lower spine. * Use your breathe when you twist. Your height is determined by genetics, but did you know that stretching can help you achieve your maximum potential height? A proper stretching routine can improve your posture, align your spine, and ultimately help you stand taller. Whether you're looking to gain confidence or simply want to reach your full height potential, this video is for you.

We will start with a warm-up, consisting of basic stretches to loosen up your muscles. The warm-up will help prevent injury and prepare your body for the stretches to come. Next, we will move onto more advanced stretches to improve your posture and increase your height. These stretches include standing stretches, seated stretches, and floor stretches.
Standing stretches are an excellent way to improve your posture and increase your height. They include exercises such as the wall stretch, where you stand with your back against the wall and slide down until your knees are at a 90-degree angle. Another standing stretch is the standing hamstring stretch, where you reach down to touch your toes while keeping your legs straight.
Seated stretches can also help improve your posture and increase your height. These stretches include exercises such as the butterfly stretch, where you sit on the floor with your knees bent and the soles of your feet together, then press your knees towards the floor. Another seated stretch is the spinal twist, where you sit with your legs straight out in front of you, then twist your torso to one side and reach back with your opposite arm.
Finally, we will move onto floor stretches, which are great for improving flexibility and increasing height. These stretches include exercises such as the cobra stretch, where you lie face down with your hands under your shoulders, then push up with your arms to stretch your spine. Another floor stretch is the bridge, where you lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground, then lift your hips up towards the ceiling.
Remember to stretch slowly and gently, and never force a stretch beyond your comfort level. Stretching should feel good and help you relax. By incorporating these stretches into your daily routine, you can improve your posture, increase your height, and ultimately feel more confident in your body.
