Today we are going to look at what openings (which are mostly reopenings) we can expect at Walt Disney World in 2024.  Most of these are just rethemed attractions. Magic Kingdom Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – Sometime in 2024 (likely Summer or Fall) This attraction is the retheming of the now-closed…

Fortune favors the Bold ⛓
TDI!Duncan x Juvie Bestfriend! Reader ⛓
Chapter Five: Hug me (Or kiss me)
Tumblr media
You and Duncan stared as most of the 'Screaming Gopher's' team jumped down. Then it got to Owen. Geoff, Gwen, and You go to the outhouses all stationed around various areas on the island. When it's your turn to go in, you start to laugh. "He's going to drown us all if he jumps. I for one, am to young to die."
Then you go back to the moutain and see he still hasn't jumped.
"We're all doomed aren't we?" Duncan whispered in your ear. "Oh most certainly." You laugh under your breath.
Then you watch as your end falls from the sky, and hits the water like a bomb making water splash all around you dispersing the campers in every which way. Duncan and you landed right by each other, his legs tangled with yours.
"Have I ever told you how much I hate water?" Duncan groaned his body shivering from excess fear he was shoving down. "Actually yes, countless of times." You laughed ruffling his hair as he pinned you to the grown smiling. "Don't touch the hair, princess."
"Yes, yeah! Who's the man?" Owen yelled from the safe zone in the water. The Screaming Gophers had won, the team cheered and you groaned. "Coward fucking Courtney." Duncan hit his head against the sand in contempt. "Be nice." You lightly punched his shoulder.
"What's wrong?" You heard Trent ask. "I think I lost my bathing suit." Owen muttered. "Ew." All the campers voiced their varying opinions of grossness.
As their prize the Screaming Gophers got wagons to wheel their boxes, but that didn't really bother you. The rest of your team? Yeah, it bothered them. Duncan kicked his, you just carried yours on your shoulders. "Lift with your back wasn't meant to be taking literally." Duncan teased you smiling as Eva and Courtney argued.
Tyler finally voiced his need to take a piss (for some reason) and suddenly Sadie and Katie had to go as well much to Eva's dismay. Luckily, it didn't take them very long but you noticed when Satie and Katie returned their thighs were a redish tint, but you stayed silent.
"Poison Ivy?" Duncan asked from next to you. "Oh for sure." You smiled as Chris asked you guys what was taking so long, lightly screaming when he saw Courtney's eye which was now pulsating.
Duncan rememebered when you both were around nine and were sent to 'Wilderness Survival School for troubled kids' and one of your teachers left you all in the middle of nowhere in a forest for three weeks without any supplies.
Bridgette began asking them what kinda plants had been around them when they had left, and she very quickly realized their mistake. "You guys squatted on poison ivy." She laughed behind her palm. "Oh no way, that's awesome." Chris laughed at the now freaking out girls.
Finally they ran into the water and you guys left them behind.
Geoff tried to give you all a 'inspiring speech' but in reality it made you realize how close you were to tackling someone. Courtney decided she was going to be the 'project' manager and yelled at Duncan almost immediately.
She put you in charge of building the motor which you did with ease. They had you build small engines at juvie a LOT and she had Duncan use his switchblade to cut the boxes open. But everyone else failed their jobs... spectactuarly.
The other team's hottub looked terrific.
Yours look like it did drugs.
So obviously, they won.
Yours had exploded the second Chris had touched it. "Well, I think we have a winner here." the host yelled. "The Screaming Gophers!" He announced their prize. "I'll see your sorry butts at the campfire tonight." He yelled at you guys.
Once it was time for dinner, Katie (or was it Sadie?) finally asked the question everyone was dying to know. "So- uh- what do we do now?" she muttered. "We have to figure out who we're going to vote off." Courtney explained her eye still swelling. "Well, I think it should be you sweetheart." You smiled pointing at her. "Or maybe the brick house here." Duncan pointed at DJ. "What! Why?" Courtney whined.
"Because, unless I'm mistaken, you two are the only ones here with the chicken hats, and if we ever have to lift a truck I like our chances better with the big guy." Duncan bumped shoulders with DJ causing the man to smile.
"You guys need me. I'm the only one-" Courtney began to whine. "We know, who used to be a real C.I.T." Bridgette groaned rolling her eyes. "I hate to break it to you hun, no one gives a shit." You laughed at Courtney's expression. "So who would you pick?" Bridgette asked finally letting the girl speak.
"What about him?" Courtney pointed at Tyler causing Lindsay to scream at the other table. "At least he jumped off the cliff." Duncan pointed out. "Chicken wing." You chimed in causing Courtney to yell "Shut it!" At you. "Okay, let's just chill out, this is getting way too heavy." Geoff got between you both causing you to growl.
"I've had enough prison food for one day. I'm gonna take a nap, you coming Y/N?" You both stood up to go walk off but Courtney stopped you. "You can't do that, we haven't decided who's going yet." She complained causing you to groan. "I just told get why we lost, eh. They're the ones that have six girls." That made you stop dead in your tracks because there ain't no way Ezekiel just said that.
Before Duncan could stop you, you had shoved Ezekiel's face against the table slamming it hard. "What's that supposed to mean?" Bridgette growled. "Yeah home school, enlighten us." Eva hissed. "Well guys are much stronger and better at sports then girls are." Ezekiel said his voice muffled against the table. "Dumbass." Duncan groaned from behind you.
Geoff saw this look in your eyes and took a step back. "Oh snap, he did not just say that." Geoff laughed putting a hand to his face. "My dad told me to look out for the girls here, eh, and to help them in case they can't keep up." Eva grabbed Ezekiel by the throat pulling him up. "Still think we need your help keeping up?" She growled. "Not really." Ezekiel shrugged. "Okay guys let's give him a break." Geoff had Eva drop him. "At least he doesn't think guys are smarter then girls." Geoff explained and suddenly Ezekiel decided to say..
"Well they are!"
Duncan had to pull you off of him.
That night at the campfire Duncan sat on the bench and you sat at his feet . "Dude, you've got a lot to learn about the real world." He advised the homeschooled boy. "Killer bass, at camp marshmallows represent a tasty treat that you enjoy roasting by the fire. At this camp marshmallows represent life. You've all cast your votes and made your decision. Thee are only eleven marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up and claim your marshmallow. The camper that does not recieve a marshmallow tonight must immediately return to the dock of shame to catch the boat of losers. That means you're out of the contest and you can't come back... ever. The first marshmallow goes to... Geoff." Chris explained the 'game.'
You weren't worried.
He went down the list of names rather quickly.
"Duncan. Y/N." Chris called out and Duncan threw a marshmallow into your mouth. You hated toasted marshmallows. Finally Chris made his last annoucement. "Campers, this is the final marshmallow of the evening." It was between Courtney and Ezekiel. You stared at your bloodied knuckles.
.....
......
.....
.....
"Courtney. Can't say I'm surprised, I saw you picking your nose, not cool bro. Dock of shame is that way." Chris pointed and for some damn reason Ezekiel looked surprised.
After the rest of them ate their marshmallows you walked back to the cabins going past the dancing gophers. You stepped up onto your cabin's steps and everyone quickly went inside leaving Duncan and you alone. He kissed your knuckles. "Your anger is a beaut everytime." He quietly teased grabbing your waist to bring you closer.
"Mhm." You laughed.
"Well, goodnight scorpion." He kissed your cheek and you fucking blushed to your dismay. "Screw you, tiger." You kissed his cheek right back and dissapeared before he could say anything. You left the 'green-haired dickhead' standing there holding his cheek in surprise.

Perfect Day
Open your mind to a perfect day in the open green valley where nature flaunts its beauty in every direction. The air, of course, is crisp and sweet with the scent of wildflowers as a gentle breeze creeps through the lush grass.. You find yourself sprawled on a cozy blanket spread over the soft meadow; you are surrounded by nature in its vibrancy.
From your picnic blanket, you gaze across the flowing meadow grasses to the lower forrest that stretches the distance around the valley. The forest trees cast a sea of dark emerald where the sun cannot reach. The sunlight drips through the evergreen branches, creating a camouflage of shadows on the forest floor leading to the mountainside. Birds chirp, their sing-song lending a peaceful soundtrack to a handsome day.
Beyond the evergreen forest, brilliant, white moutain peaks rise proudly above the valley. Gradually, they climb from the flowing grasses to sparce greens. Then staggering above all, the snow-capped summits reach toward the heavens. The mountains are a backdrop so pristine, they could be fake against the cloud-spotted blue sky. Wispy clouds drift lazily around the mountain peaks; the patterns in the clouds like animal shaped pillows.
The steady splash of a babbling creek mixes with the harmony of twitterpated animals. Comfy on your picnic blanket, you contemplate a nap as you take in the beauty of nature. In the distance, among a patch of dead trees, a herd of deer peer in your direction. The sun begins to fall behind the mountain peaks, and although it is early afternoon, the breeze carries a chill as shadows grow across the meadow.

Magic Kingdom at Disney World- What You Need to Know
Magic Kingdom Park is what guests think of when they picture Disney World. It has Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, and lots more in six themed lands. "The Most Magical Place on Earth" opened on October 1, 1971.
Tumblr media
LAY OF THE LAND
Magic Kingdom is laid out like a wheel, with the hub centered directly in front of the towering Cinderella Castle. Cinderella Castle is the Parks' icon, and it's become an icon of the company as a whole as well. In summer 2020, Cinderella Castle debuted a new color scheme, to mixed reviewed from guests.
Tumblr media
Main Street, U.S.A
Inspired by Walt Disney's memories of his hometown, Main Street, U.S.A., is a re-creation of early 20th century small-town America, on a 7/8 scale. There are quaint shops, a town hall, a fire station, and even an old-style barbershop. Fun fact: The design of Main Street U.S.A., uses forced perspective to make the buildings appear full size to guests walking down the street!
Tumblr media
But Main Street isn't just a pass-through. Throughout the day, guests can watch performances of the Citizens of Main Street as they sing, dance, and entertain the crowds. The Dapper Dans is a barbershop quartet that is not to be missed!
Tumblr media
ADVENTURELAND
An exotic mix of jungles, wild animals, pirates, and a Middle Eastern bazaar, Adventureland is home to several of Magic Kingdom's best-known loved attractions, including Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise.
Tumblr media
Tip: If Adventureland's attractions (and, ahem, snacks) are a must-do for you, take a left when you arrive at the hub in the morning. Most guests are going to head straight for Fantasyland or Tomorrowland to hit Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain, and you'll likely find calmer crowds in Adventureland to start the day!
FRONTIERLAND
Frontierland has all the adventure and excitement of the Wild West, including the wet wonders of Splash Mountain and the wild thrills of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Tumblr media
Frontierland is also home to the raft on Tom Sawyer's Island, which can be an oasis in the otherwise hectic Park. And if you want to dine where the "fixin's" are (like self-serve bar loaded with salsa, cheese, and more!), you'll find beloved Quick Service spot Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe here, too!
Tumblr media
LIBERTY SQUARE
Liberty Square celebrates America's colonial heritage with themed facades period details. The land reflects the history of the Executive Branch with the Hall of Presidents. It is also home to the beloved Haunted Mansion.
Tumblr media
Liberty Square connects directly to three other areas of the park: Fantasyland, Frontierland, and the Casle hub.
FANTASYLAND
Fantasyland is the quintessential fairytale experience with castles, princesses and princes, pixies, and boys who never grow up. When guests think of Disney World, they may think primarily of classic Fantasyland attractions like "It's a small world" and Peter Pan's Flight.
Tumblr media
There's more to this land of fantasy, though. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the Park's most popular attractions- a coaster that welcomes guests 38" and taller.
Tumblr media
And as one might imagine, Fantasyland is also a great place to meet princesses. Princess Fairytale Hall offers meet-and-greets with four princesses- two at a time in two separate meeting spaces (with two separate lines). Ariel can be found in her Grotto in the "new" area of Fantasyland, and Belle is nearby weaving a story in Enchanted Tales with Belle.
TOMRROWLAND
Tomorrowland is Magic Kingdom's look toward the future where guests can battle the Evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin or whiz through the universe on a high-speed coaster at Space Moutain.
Tumblr media
Tomorrowland is also home the Park's next big attraction: Tron Lightcycle Run. This futuristic coaster is a big hit at Shanghai Disney, and it's coming to Florida's Kingdom.

As I read a lot of your fics on Ao3 I have realized a lot of your characters are anthropomorphic animals. What inspired you to make your characters that way?
Well, growing up I would play video games like Banjo Kazooie and Crash Bandicoot. I also watched cartoons with anthropomorphic animals in them. But what really inspired me was this attraction at both Disneyland and Disney World called Splash Moutain which is basically full of characters that are humanoid animals.

I'm thinking spicynoodleshipping + shadowpeach #25 & 36, thank you.
Today is pain day, I just want to write angst and people being hurt physically and emotionally apparently. Sorry if you expected something more light hearted... Fair warning here for not-graphic descriptions of blood and life threatening injuries (that is once again not being taken seriously by the inured party), I wanted the excuse to follow up on a headcanon for one of these characters and I tried not to be overly descriptive.
"You have until the count of three to remove your arms from my person, or so help me…!"/ “When I say run, that means keep running."
"You have until the count of three to remove your arms from my person, or so help me...!" Red Son shouted, ocean water soaked hair sticking to his face as he tried to claw his way out of the Monkey King's hold. Steam lifted from his hair and clothes as he tried to light himself back on fire, to dry off, to get back to Xiaotian, to do something anything except be held back in his post-fight weakened state.
For his part Sun Wukong held him tighter, keeping him from slipping from his grip and falling from his cloud back into the ocean he had just fished him from or into the hard ground of the beach shores below. "Red, we have to trust them!"
"They could be DEAD Sun Wukong!"
"They can handle themselves, Red, now stop moving!" Wukong planted his foot down into the cloud as much as he could and moved to knock Red off balance to grab him around his waist and carry him away over his shoulder.
In all honesty he didn't trust his own words. Xiaotian and Red Son had been ambushed by some group of advanced tech weilding demons during some kind of outing (date, scavenger hunt, Wukong didn't take the time to ask) and they had called him for backup. He'd had no choice but to bring his current unwanted house guest, Macaque, because he didn't trust him to not antagonize the monkeys back on Mount Huaguo.
The situation had quickly gone... poorly. Red Son had already burnt himself out using far too much of his fire powers to fight the rapidly repairing bots at the demon's disposal and they had taken the time to repeatedly douse him in ocean water as an extra layer of protection. Xiaotian was holding his own but he was clearly getting tired, grateful if incredibly confused about the backup he had recieved. It hadn't taken long before the Monkie Kid turned to his mentor and asked him to take Red somewhere safe to recuperate and come back when he was "fired up" again. Macaque had shoved Red at Wukong, hissing a “When I say run, that means keep running" to the younger demon.
Red Son was decidedly unhappy about this.
"Xiaotian asked me to keep you safe and I'm not g-"
The sound of an explosion of some sort behind them stopped the Monkey King in his tracks and he turned around to see the mountain they had been flying from begin to crumble. The mountain that Xiaotian and Macaque had still been on. Crumbling...
Wukong barely registered the fact Red had stopped fighting against him and was just holding onto him and had started shaking, his hold digging through his top layer to grip the fur on his shoulders painfully. He didn't know what was worse, his own vantage point of seeing the moutain fall before his eyes after missing the explosion... or Red seeing whatever had broken it and now only being able to hear what was happening behind him as Wukong held him in a tighter grip.
"No.... no no no no no..." The Monkey King felt Red's breathing speed up and grow desperate at his words and he cursed as he made a quick beeline for the ground, stumbling and nearly falling into Red Son as he tried to set the fire demon on the ground. "No, no, they're fine, they're fine Red, I'm just going to-"
"They were still on there," Red Son whispered, grip not loosening as he tried to look past Wukong's body blocking his view.
"They're fine, they have to be."
"They were on there Wukong!" Red said again, and the small wisp of steam he felt against his cheek did not come from Red trying to dry himself off again.
The air between them grew tenser and tenser the more seconds passed and just as Wukong felt like something would snap he heard a sound from behind them. It was familar, growing louder the closer it came, and like a shooting star the end of his staff burried itself in the beach sand a few feet away from them and shrank as two seperate forms fell from the sky with varying yelps of pain and surprise, the larger one bouncing and landing a few feet further away.
"XIAOTIAN!" "XIAOTIAN, MACAQUE!" Red and Wukong shouted at the same time and Red finally let go of his iron grip. They ran toward Xiaotian, both breathing a sigh of relief as the younger man sat up with a groan. Wukong froze again when he saw the varying splashes of red coating and dripping from his shirt and jacket, opening his mouth to say something else before being cut off.
"It's not mine," Xiaotian said quickly in his heavy breathes and the tone of his voice, laced with fear and confusion and shaky as Red knelt in the sand beside him to look him over told Wukong exactly what he needed to know. The quick gaze and nod back at the other figure sent him rushing off to leave the couple to themselves. He trusted Red to take care of his student.
"Xiaotian I-I thought- the mountain it-" Red Son stumbled on his words as he let the steam tears seep from his eyes freely, not caring who saw them now that they were from relief, and he looked over the Monkie Kid. Despite being coated in fresh blood he looked... he looked fine! A few scrapes and when he looked at his neck he saw the beginning of a nasty hand shapped bruise and claw scrapes... like someone had grabbed him by he scruff of his neck and yanked hard. "What-"
"Macaque!" Xiaotian interupted, grabbing Red's hands and standing himself up. "Their robot things, they did someting and he grabbed me and jumped in front of me and-"
"Holy FUCK." Sun Wukong's exclimation startled both of the younger men and Red Son didn't need to be told to follow the other as he rushed over to the two ancient monkeys.
Macaque had bounced hard when Xiaotian had landed and lost grip on him, eventally coming to stop more than a few feet away and leaving a... genuinely concerning trail of blood behind him. Red Son couldn't help but think this was far too much blood for anyone, let alone someone as powerful as the Six-Earred Macaque himself, to leave behind and still survive.
And yet, somehow above all odds, he could see the dark furred tail weakly trying to thump against the ground from where Wukong had rolled him onto his back. The Monkey King was leaning over him, his own tail shaking stifly along with his arms as he ran his hands over his sideburns and through his hair as he was making an odd half-laugh and half-muffled yelling sound.
"Wukong, wh-oh my HEAVEN!" It was Red's turn to yell, staring down at the the other monkey in the ground.
"Hello to you too," Macaque said through gritted teeth, an expression of severly inappropriate for the situation amusement on his face.
He looked... bad. He looked bad, those were the only words Red could think of to describe the sight. Whatever glamor he had was gone, his eye scar and what would have been his milky white eye in full vew.
Unfortunately, it seemed as if something had happened because the eye was definitely not there now. Much like a nice chunk out of out of the matching arm. And he had a nasty gash in the same side.
That explained the sheer amount of blood everywhere.
"How are you alive right now?" He breathed out in disbelief.
"Let's just say," Macaque groaned, bringing up his good arm to wipe away some of the blood from his face. "Immortality and invulnerablity aren't the same for everyone. I literally cannot die."
"Like..." Red swallowed, looking at his wounds again. "Cannot... at all?"
"Cannot at all," Macaque confirmed. "But man can I get beat to shit. Healing takes forever too, but I'll heal."
There was a soft sniffling sound and something that sounded like a laugh from Red's side and when he turned he could see Xiaotian grimmacing with a half smile on his face. "I'm glad you're not going to die but never save me like that again please. I'd rather us both be hurt but in one piece next time. I almost dropped you pogoing out of there too."
"There ain't gonna be a next time kid," Macaque growled, but it was weak and didn't have any real bite behind it. He looked at Xiaotian with a glare. "And stop crying. Like I said I'll be fine, give me 3 days and I'll kick your ass when I steal you for training again. Just didn't want Peaches over here keeping me up all night with his crying if you got really hurt."
The mention of his nickname got a reaction out of Wukong, a soft chuckle and a heavy exhale of breath. All 3 other people watched in confusion as he leaned down, resting his forehead against the other monkey's softly as his tail started to sway in the sand. "I appreciate it... but now I'm gonna keep you up all night cleaning your wounds you idiot." His words were harsh but his tone of voice was soft, gentle almost, and if they listened closely they could hear a soft almost imperceptable rumble from his chest.
"That's, uh..." Macaque started, looking away from the face so close to his own. "That's still... better. Right?" He sounded just as, if not more, confused than Red Son and Xiaotian were at the Monkey King's bizarre and unexpected reaction. But he didn't tell the other ancient to stop.
"OH!" Red said suddently, turning to Xiaotian. "The demons, are they-!?"
"Dead," he responded with a sigh. "Like, super dead. If they managed to survive that explosion they were definitely buried in that... mountain-lanche? Whatever, they're not coming after us."
"Good," Wukong said softly as he sat up. "I'm gonna fly Macaque back to Mount Huaguo, you two follow us. Get cleaned up. Stay with us for the night?"
His words were stilted, awkward, but heartfelt.
The two men woudn't have said no even if they weren't.

“The Moutain With Teeth”, Ivar The Boneless x evil!Reader
Summary: For the first time of his life, Ivar finds better fighter than him, he is about to discover what it is to be under the care of a ruthless leader, just like he used to be.
Tumblr media
Warnings: evil!reader, suspense, blood & fluff [e/c= eyes color]
A/N: HALLOWEEN TREAT, I thought I would give you some terror and blood, so why not a creepy bloody reader this time?
Word Count: 2,782
*Masterlist*
A drop crashed into a puddle, creating an echo into yours and his ears, both lift your head and meet each other’s stare. Cold, freezing, electric glares before wrinkles ensue at the corner of your eyes. Even if the rain hit the top of your head and everything around including him, you didn’t blink. What the hell was he doing here? This territory wasn’t his. “Not utterely yours either,” you thought, but the rage inside his pupils shook this idea off of your mind. He was hostile, his knitted brows, and his clenched jaw warned you about his intentions.
You only had time to glance at his hand, before you heard a crowd yelling and thousands of warriors coming out of the vast forest encircling you. His hand movement was fast and precise, two fingers unfolding to point the sky. A breeze wrapped your face, inviting you to take in a deep breath, after which you opened your lids again, holding tight onto your sword. A flock of hair hid a part of your face, a whirlwind of dirt was dancing in between your two bodies placed only a few steps away.
His blue eyes didn’t leave your e/c ones. The fight had already begun as soon as your souls met, several minutes prior. Even if you were alone, and he with thousands of men, he didn’t seem relieved, he knew better. A rictus took place at the corner of your lips as you balanced the weight of your body on your knee and your sword to get up. As you did so, your mane pooled down on your face, letting your creepy smile be the only thing visible of you.
Slowly, you rose your face and soon enough your sword, that clashed against the weapon of one of the numerous enemies surrounding you. They could hear the deep spluttering of the laugh building itself inside your throat, which eventuated in some warriors to step back and glance at each other. Unfortunately for those who threw themselves at you thinking they would beat you without efforts, they encountered the sharp edge of your sword with nothing other than their throats. “A taste of your own medicine!” You screamed in your foreign language. They all stared at the dozens of bodies spread out around you before being distracted by the sound of your naked feet splashing into the pool of blood.
The Vikings drifted to make you a path to their leader, Ivar The Boneless. The closer you got, the clearer you could hear the murmurs of the merchants you bumped into during your travel to this mountain...
“They call him Ivar The Boneless”, “it seems it’s because he is a cripple”, “no legs”
You remembered their scared faces when talking about this Viking and their quavering tone. Your smile got wider when seven or ten warriors appeared in front of you, hampering your way. Your head tilted as your grip got tighter on your sword. “Leave her” A voice exclaimed, to which the men before you grunted but obey. You intended to achieve your course as the pointy edge of your weapon lug around in the mud. “ Where is your army?” questioned the cripple when you reached his chariot. “I don’t have an army” you managed to speak in his language. When hearing your accent, his eyes squinted. “You’re lying” He dismissed thoughts clouding his mind. You rose your sword in a huff, that was the sign, he knew it. He called for a shield wall as fast as he could but that wasn’t fast enough. What were those forms vanishing behind trees to appear right behind his warriors? Ivar’s eyes wandered from places to places trying to understand what was happening as shrill screams purred in his ears.
*Ivar POV*
A black cloud had darkened the sky as an absence of oxygen made him gasp for air, his lips slightly opened. Even one of his hands desperately searched for his throat. His eyes started to get watery as darkness obfuscated his vision, his muscles refused to respond to the calls of his brain. It was harder and harder to stand still, or was he already on the ground? The Viking couldn’t tell as his face and slowly all his members were swollen. Screams were soon enough replaced by the only sound of blood spurting from human bodies. He felt death seize each and every cell of his weak body when a gushing laugh echoed near his ear? Or so he thought, all of his sense was... absent as if they fell asleep whereas his brain was still conscient and pleading.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a warm feeling filled with flagrance his dying self, electric sparkles slowly arousing different parts of his body as he was now able to identify a mass pressing against his chest. He could swear something was pressing against his lips at the same moment a lightning stroke him to life. He abruptly opened his eyes, his back curling away from the surface he was lying on as if the cold of Niflheim burned his skin. “Stay calm, don’t die, you’re mine now” you murmured only inches away from him. Your round eyes crowning by your fluffy lashes didn’t blink a bit when saying those words. He quickly steps back helped by both his hands dug into the sheets. Sheets? Ivar hassled to look down on his own self only to discover he was placed in a bed, bare chest. A dry chuckle left your mouth, his confused look amused you more than anything. He was too scandalize and lost to say anything, you tilted your head and pout “You’re not so funny anymore, I might just kill you like the others?” you questioned yourself, ignoring his presence. “Killing me?” “Hum-hum,” you nodded. He clenched his jaw and fists, eyes searching for whatever he could use to kill you quickly without making a lot of noise. For that was his plan, killing you. Your eyes drifted from his to his mouth, he was gritting his teeth. “There is no escape, and you can’t beat me, but we can fight if that’ll make you feel any better” you scoffed, proud of having so much power over him. “Where is everybody? And where on earth am I? Huh?” He started to get impatient. “Shhh, you’ll soon have all the answers you were always seeking” your palm fondled his cheek, making him step back further at first. But then he recognizes the feelings which flowed through his being, the lightning that woke him up. At some point, he thought the gods might have helped him, but he opened his eyes to a whole different scenario. Here he was, alive, but half-naked with a woman that seems dangerously sweet, was he a prisoner? Or some type of... war slave?
He dismissed those thoughts by shaking his head. When he opened his eyes again you weren’t there anymore. He took the sheets off of his legs, his braces were still in place, only his upper body was bare and cleaned. He was trying to figure out what was going on, how did it happen, and a way out.
*Y/n POV*
You were in the hall, discussing the death of the Viking army with your majors when you heard a bunch of thuds in the next room, the room where you placed the only survivor, the one you considered as yours. You rolled your eyes and huffed as you knew exactly what he was trying to do, escape. The long braid that was hanging on your shoulder fell in your back when you got up, as the assembly went silent. All eyes lifted to you and followed as your fine movements lead you to the door, behind floral curtains. As you opened the door, you made sure to reach for one of your knives hidden in the loose sleeve of your white dress, just in case he would try something crazy, which you knew damn well was a possibility. “I will kill you!” He gritted between his teeth, his piercing eyes directly encountered yours as the door violently slams against the wall. Both his arms were firmly holding items of furniture, his back was crooked, compelling him to look at you from under which only increased his rage towards you. Then again, your head was tilted, eyes squinted, analyzing his demeanour. “You’re going to hurt yourself if you don’t stop your stubborn self right now, you know that?” You spitted your venom with a head movement. “I don’t care! Get me out of here! Don’t you know who I am?” He continues screaming. “My pet. Ivar The Boneless is my pet” you raise your brows. His jaws clenched, fists squeezing the wood. “Don’t look at me that way, did you ever thought of the people you keep after a raid? It’s not like you Vikings, have a good reputation. It is known you are cruel and ruthless, even more, you, Ivar. I can’t even imagine the way your people be towards thralls or frail people that you attack” He stayed silent, swallowing as he realized he wasn’t the oppressor anymore, he was the one being oppressed. His hand let go of their grip as he falls to the ground. He crawled to your feet and with the same rage animating the flame behind his lids, he exclaimed: “I shall not become your pet, nor any type of that thing, let me go, now!” “Or what?” You solemnly replied. “You can express your anger how you want, it will not change the facts, you lost. I won. The only reason you’re alive is that I want you alive” your eyes fluttered as if you were the most innocent woman in the world. This contrast with your temper confused the remaining Viking to his core. His lips opened in a perfect “o” as he tried to figure out a way to scare you, or just to find the right words. What was happening to him? Did the gods left him? what did he do to lose their favours? So many questions were rumbling in his mind as if the vivid memories of his people dying wasn’t a burden enough.
It’s the freezing heat of your palm on his shoulder that knocked him off this overflow of emotions going on within him. “Come eat with me, please” your suave voice soughed in his ears. Ivar’s face lifts to yours with as much uncomprehension that questioning. Having a yen for being drowned in the sweet scent of your words wasn’t making his decision any easier, “No” he simply mutters. Not quite sure of what he should do. Will you let him be if he disobeyed? “I was simply being courteous. If you refuse to come of your free will, you will be dragged at my table by species you don’t want to know, believe me.” You smiled. His brows knitted but you didn't need to be more explicit for images of what killed his warriors come back to his mind. Seeing his reluctance you scoffed and straightened up. "That's what I thought," you give him your hand that he grabs shyly. Giving the Viking a crutch to be able to walk, you lead the way to the exit.
Back in the hall, all of your majors were at the same place that you left them, it was frightening how inhuman their posture was. If you weren’t you, you would probably be scared, but the years you spend in that mountain by yourself before meeting them made you forget about what fear was and how pain tasted. “You can sit right next to me” you sing to Ivar as yourself took a sit. He didn’t look at the other around the table as he was too mesmerized by your look. As he was focused on escaping, he didn’t pay close attention to you, which he did now. Your long white dress which complimented your angelic side contrasted with the sharp weapons hanging at the tip of your braid. Pointy and sharp weapons that were also found hanging at each one of your ears as earrings. “Y/n, do you still think of letting him live?” Your advisor asked seemingly very concern about your decision. “I am” You nonchalantly answered. The man was about to retort when one of his colleagues pinched his arm as to signify to let go, the scene didn’t slip out of Ivar’s eyes, even if he didn’t understand a thing of what you were speaking he could read the face of those around him while speaking to you, which indicated to him how dangerous you were.
His eyes fluttered between the nine people sat around the table and their robotic gestures, hesitant was the more accurate word. It was as if they were scared of what you might do next, as if themselves were forced to serve you, unable to beat whatever power you might have.
Wrinkles appeared at the corner of his eyes when he glimpses at what was on their shoulders, bear fur. One of them even had the impressive head of a bear as a beanie. His fist clenched as he realized not a goddamn thing was reassuring since he opened his eyes, and he started doubting this was reality. It simply couldn't be. He rubbed his eyes when you displayed with one hand, a dish full of meat and appetising vegetables before him, your other one encountered his cheek in a fervent electric discharge. “You must eat, now” you reassuredly purred.
***
“I don’t need you to do this!” Ivar vigorously asserted. “I wasn’t going to do anything to help you there, I’m here to explain,” you curtly retort, shrugging. The ex Viking king knitted his brows. You sat beside the bathtub he was about to enter. Quite obviously, he refused to take off any of his clothes, which make you swiftly deride. He eventually managed to sit as far as he could from you. “I understand you’re confused by who we are and how did we end the Viking army you once had, but you must understand I mean you no harm presently” you look up to him, round orbs gazing into his pagan soul. “This,” you deftly wave your hand to the pane, showing the heights “is my mountain, my realm, my honour. Everything I own and love was born and buried hither, everybody that puts feet in my land shall pay a fair price” you added, a smirk curling the corner of your lips. His eyes landed on the wood we could glimpse behind the thick pane of the window. He carefully cut across his stare to you, for he well decided not to lose sight of any of your move. A part of him wanted to say it was because he didn’t’ trust you. After all, he was animated by a deep longing to feel your blood splatter on his face, but that wasn't it. Even if he wanted to fight you, he couldn’t control this growing curiosity toward your persona. “Will you pardon me?” you lowly questioned, glancing aside. Ivar noticed the switch in your tone and the emotion that drew on your features, hesitation. He, that from the very start couldn’t read anything out of your face was finally allowed to see you feel. You didn’t seem like a sorceress afflicted with rabies to his eyes anymore. This new side of you made his stomach flutter. Contemplating your red cheeks, he almost sank in your poison. “You slaughtered my every warrior and have taken away from me my freedom...” he hesitated “and sanity” he bitterly confessed, his profile moving to the side. Both of you were looking at the opposite of each other, lost in an overflow of affective disturbances, but you quickly shook those: “I felt it, back on the battlefied, I felt that boundless void inside your chest. It called me there and still does. It’s like an ever-present unsettling background noise, to which you never get used to.” Your fingers encountered your hair in a subdued note. Ivar’s head turned to your side, as he was once again, wind in your web. He muttered:
“What is the fair price we must pay?”
As his question echoed in the room made of stone , it was as if a trap was closed behind him. He couldn't turn back now, each of his senses was dedicated to feeling you, perceive the lightest drop of your essence you would gift him. Indeed every human being that set foot on your land was destined to be yours, one way or another. It was your mountain, and she gulped every living being you’d encountered.

Burning Blue 1-2
Act 1) The girl with burning eyes
Chapter two: Fire on water
Morax wasn't entirely sure about this. They had brought Liyue home and she was running round the library looking at all the books and statues everywhere. It's not that he was concerned about the damage a child might cause, but rather the child itself. How were they going to take care of her? None of them had ever had a child. The closest any of them had ever had to a child was Mountain Shaper playing with the nearby children and Morax knew that didn't really count.
"Are you sure you're up to this, Mountain Shaper?" the raven haired god asked his adeptus.
"My lord, you have no need to worry. I am fully up to the task"
Morax was glad there was that. Quizhong giggled "You seem to have already grown a soft spot for the little thing" she said, covering her smile with her fan. Morax never fully understood why she did that, he thought that she had nothing to hide when she smiled.
Mountain Shaper cleared his throat, eyeing the little girl who was curiously peering at the pool of water in the middle of the library, sticking a hand in to grab at a bright red koi fish. (Why they had a koi pond in a library Morax did not know)
"I am merely doing this out of responsibility. Not because I care for the child" he stated.
He never really understood why some people insisted they did not like something they clearly did. Was it to hide something? Were they afraid of the object of their affection would get hurt? Were they afraid of judgment? Weakness? Morax didn't understand why openly expressing your love would be embarrassing or weak. On the contrary, the god thought of it as bold.
A splash was heard as Liyue fell into the shallow pool, Mountain shaper quickly fished the small girl out of the water and brought her to stand on the ledge of the pool. "Hey, don't go around doing that" he scolded.
"I'm sorry" Liyue said sheepishly, pouting and starting to squeeze water out of her dress. Morax could see Mountain Shaper melt and relent, patting little Liyue's head.
"It's alright. Let's get something for you to wear and fill your stomach up" he picked her up and walked out of the library. Quizhong tried to stifle her laugh as to spare the adeptus his pride.
"Little Liyue is so cute" she cooed "I'm sure it'll be a delight to have her" the lady of dust said, putting away her fan and tucking it in her robes.
"Indeed" Morax said "I believe Mountain shaper will raise her well, perhaps she'll soften him up"
Quizhong sighed "Xiao could use a little softening up to. I think having a child around will be beneficial to everybody. A shame we might have to see her go one day"
Morax nodded, putting his hands behind his back and looking at the wet spots of floor from Liyue "Yes, it will be. Perhaps she could stay with us for longer..."
Golden eyes not too different from his own looked at him, a small but refined frown sitting on her forehead "Morax, you're not thinking of making her an adeptus, are you?"
"I will leave the choice up to her" Morax said, raising his hand "My dear friend, we are short in numbers and this war is going nowhere. We need help and I think Liyue is perfect for the role, especially with Mountain Shaper raising her" he reasoned.
"She's a child" Guizhong reasoned.
"She will grow and learn to make her own decisions" Morax said back.
Morax knew what he was suggesting was a bit insane and even came off as evil or manipulative, but he was good intentions. Plus, he was sure he'd do Liyue a favor, mortals always seemed to crave immortality, if anything she'd be lucky.
"I won't do it right away" he assured his friend "We'll wait and if she doesn't want to, she doesn't want to"
Quizhong looked at him with furrowed brows, clearly feeling a bit protective of the small child. Morax sighed and strode out of the library, thinking about it. Maybe it was a bit early to assume Liyue would want to be an immortal adeptus, but he saw something in her. She'd be valuable to him. She certainly would....
"-And then Xiao-"
"Shut up old man!"
Morax didn't quite know what he walked into when he visited the kitchen for a cup of tea. Xiao had thrown a cookbook at Mountain shaper who was now in his crane form, muffled squawks came out of his beak where a raw fish flopped with his movements, and Cloud Retainer was in her human form watching the spectacle, hand shooting out to protect Liyue from flying objects ever so often. The little girl was dressed in a blue and white dress with her hair groomed and was having what looked like tofu and stir fry, seemingly unbothered by the ruckus.
"What happened here?"
Xiao immediately dropped a cabbage he looked like he was a bout to throw at Mountain Shaper, who morphed back into a human and spat a raw fish out of his mouth.
"My lord" they three adepti said in unison, bowing respectfully to him. Liyue continued to enjoy her meal while Morax cast confused glances at his adepti while he prepared himself some tea.
"What exactly happened"
Mountain Shaper and Xiao opened their mouths to speak but Cloud retainer interrupted them. "Mountain shaper was trying to tell the story of the time Xiao went under cover as a woman and wore a qipao. It was quite entertaining"
Morax his a smile as he recounted the memory of Xiao is a much too short qipao wreaking havoc in a small tavern. It was quite the spectacle. They all shared a good laugh (safe for Xiao who was fuming) until Liyue spoke up.
"Can Liyue see Xiao-Xiao in a qipao?"
Morax couldn't help but chuckle at the child's request, Moutain Shaper and Cloud retainer also looked like they wanted to laugh as the young adeptus  fumed at the child. "No you cannot!"
"Why not?"
"I'm not dressing up as a girl again!"
Liyue cocked her head "What's wrong with dressing up as a girl? I dress up as a boy sometimes, mother and father say that gender is just an illusion and that it shouldn't keep someone back from expressing themselves. If Xiao-Xiao wants to dress up as a girl Liyue won't judge" she stated, cool and poised.
The room when silent, as none of the immortals were able to make sense of Liyue's maturity. Eventually, Xiao spoke up.
"I don't want to dress up like a girl though. I had to for... work related purposes"
Morax wasn't sure what to make of her maturity. She seemed to value equality, that was important. Her maturity was important as well, if she were to become an adeptus, her advanced understanding could definetly help her. Perhaps, Morax thought, that flame in her eyes burns for justice. Good, he'd need that flame to keep burning, he'd need her with him.
I know it’s a bit odd how I wrote the adepti’s relationships like a bunch of collage students, but that’s honestly how I see them lol. They all lived together during the war, I think they only split up when they established Liyue lol. I have only shared a room with other people like two times, but I’d honestly try to make the most of it lol, that involves embarrassing stories
