"A cursed weapon, huh...," the woman breathed.

"Oh, the Garell boy's curse is actin' up again!" Elwe piped up. "I was supposed to tell you when ya got in."

Astra sighed long-sufferingly. "I told you, momma, that ain't a curse. He's got asthma. Tell 'em to keep makin' 'im breathe the vapor from a cup a' branic tea twice a day. It ain't ever gonna go away, but that'll help some."

Her hand made no sound against the sturdy, iron door. The noise of her hydraulic pump and dragging foot, however, betrayed her. The rhythmic pings that had echoed from inside ceased at once.

Vermir stepped into the darkened interior. Azidor's was a small shop, specializing in only certain materials and catering to a specific crowd. Strewn about the tables and benches, she could see metallic hands prepared with hidden tools, silver faces etched with beautiful, floral designs. A sign at the front desk read in both Janazi and Kevete: High-quality adjustments for robotic parts and prosthetics alike. Ask about our sensory rune upgrades!

"We ain't never gettin' into that central lab, are we?" Astra muttered. Her gaze flicked up to meet his. None of the typical mirth or bravado sparkled in her blood-ringed eyes.

"It's...." The man swore under his breath. "What other choice do we have?"

"I'll be right behind you," Mashal said. By his tone, it was obvious he was trying to calm her anxiety while being rather afraid of the crossing himself. "If you slip, I'll catch you."

"If'n I slip, you keep your hands to yourself so I don't drag us both down," she answered a little more snappishly than she intended.

When Mashal's expression went sad, Astra took a deep breath, berating herself internally. She had to get a handle on her fear. Her ma had always said that when the night was dark, there was no need to start painting with pitch, even if the colors matched.

"We're gonna be fine," Astra said, offering a smile over her shoulder. "I ain't gonna fall and neither are you. In fifteen minutes- Nah, twelve. I'm gonna beat my record, I can feel it. In twelve minutes, we're gonna be home free."

"You're taking your sweet time for some squiggles." Thibault's eyes darted nervously to the hall they'd come from. Mashal and Avymere stood ready and tensed, prepared to fight at a moment’s notice.

"My momma always said, if ya don't know shit about a thing, you'd best keep your mouth shut 'fore that shit starts leakin' out from 'tween your lips," the witch muttered. "I need you to remember this number though - one thousand six hundred and seventy point fifteen. If I ask for the Tamm unit conversion, talk it back to me."

Thibault's ears flicked anxiously. "That's a hell of a number...."

"Well, all ya gotta do is remember it, thank the gods," Astra shot back.

So…about the FIFTH episode of RWBY Volume 9…

We're at the half way mark folks! Just five more episodes to go.

Apologies for skipping the fourth episode. Last week, this squiggle meister was a little under the weather. While I did watch the episode, I wasn’t up for sharing my usual first impressions on it. Granted, I will say now that I was a wee bit disappointed by the fourth episode when I first watched it.

[SPOILERS AHEAD! NUFF SAID]

Not implying that it wasn’t good since I definitely enjoyed the bits that introduced a bit more lore of the Ever After. I guess I was mostly disappointed by how quickly we got to this aspect of the story---the part where RWBY encounter the Smoking Caterpillar-inspired character who was introduced o as the Herbalist or simply “Herb” for short. For me, I was expecting this part to come later but I was deeply mistaken.

I had a hunch that the Herbalist would’ve forced Team RWBY to undergo some type of mystical test but I more pegged it to have come later after more adventures and encounters in the Ever After when Ruby was at her lowest and the test would’ve been her breaking point. But I guess this episode was more the start to Ruby’s breakdown than the final straw.

Overall, the more the story progresses, the more confused I become as to what the Ever After really is or rather what it’s meant to represent in the grand scheme of the world building in RWBY.

And coming out of today’s episode, it really is starting to sound as if the Ever After is some kind of limbo world. Like RWBY’s version of purgatory. It’s not the Land of the Living but it’s not the After Life either. It’s inbetween.

A place where people can come and possibly be born again---somewhat like reincarnation but not really? Certainly not the kind Ozma went through.

It’s the conversation between RWBY and the Curious Cat that truly got me thinking.

“...When we break or wear out or simply finish what we were made to do, we are called back. But Herb, his heart was too weak to listen so I gave him a little bit of mine.”

“...Is he dead?”

“...No, no, no. Well maybe a little bit. But not at all.”

“...Which is it?”

“Now that Herb’s properly returned, he’ll be fixed up nice and made into the Herb he wanted to be when he was still Herb then he’ll come back and find his purpose. Could be the same as before or maybe not.”

“When Herb comes back, will he remember anything?”

“What would be the point of that. Just like Alyx, you lot. I know where your from, things die. But we’re just not like you at all. We ascend. Herb will have a purpose again.”

“That’s impossible. Things have to die someday, right?”

“What happened to Herb, is that what happened to the King?”

“The Red King could not cope when he lost to Alyx. A crying mess. Thankfully he was called back and fixed up and how he’s the prince you met.”

“Fixed up? The prince was worse.”

“The prince isn’t supposed to be nice. He’s meant to play the game and win. No matter what.”

“So that’s why he cheats; when the Red King didn’t. But that still doesn’t explain why the Red Prince was so much meaner.”

“While the prince may not remember Alyx’s deception after ascending; the heart very rarely forgets.”

“But there was nothing about ascension in the story.”

“Of course not. Exposition is terrible boring. Even this conversion, on the whole, was rather tedious.”

“I wonder what else Alyx left out.”

Contrary to what the Curious Cat said,  I on the other hand found the whole conversation between them and RWBY to be interesting because it does give some insight into the way the Ever After works while dropping more hints about Alyx.

I guess at the end of this episode, my whole question is...since the implication is that Alyx survived her adventures in the Ever After and ascended back to Remnant, who did Alyx become then?

The inference is that Alyx turned into an entirely different person when she returned home to Remnant; probably in more ways that one. So who did Alyx become and was the new Alyx a character we’ve already met before in the show? Y’know like a little twist we’ll get by the time V9 is over or something like that.

Like imagine if…by the end of V9, we find out that Alyx eventually became another reincarnation of Ozma or…Summer Rose or maybe she became Neo or something like that?

I’m just saying that all of this lore that we’re getting about the Ever After has to make sense in the end and tie back to the main narrative in some shape or form. So I’m just slowly picking up what little bit of information I can to try and piece it all together while I’m watching the season.

Overall, the way the Ever After works compared to Remnant is fascinating. I think for now it’s safe to say that it is indeed some kind of purgatory. Not life. Not death. But somewhere in the middle where one can go to either start over or never exist to begin with?

That what I’ll say for now. I’m especially looking forward to next week’s episode to hear the explanation for what the hell happened to Jaune!

I can't believe RWBY pulled a "The Girl Who Waited" like in Doctor Who but with Jaune!

Jaune is the boy who waited. How long has Jaune been waiting for RWBY to show up? How much time has passed for him compared to his friends.

Holy balls! Jaune is old now---well older now? I mean it could've been worse. He could've been an old man by the time he reunited with RWBY.

At least he's finally rocking that wolf tail he’s always wanted from V4. I liked that nice little callback to that season as well as him naming his little jackalope friend Juniper after his team. That's sweet.

Jaune is literally the boy who waited. But...how long has Jaune been waiting for RWBY to show up? How much time has passed for him compared to his friends.

In all seriousness, what happened to Jaune? Jaune was the last to fall into the Ever After so how is it he’s aged so drastically but RWBY hasn’t? I’m assuming it has to do with whatever acre of the Ever After Jaune fell into?

Perhaps time runs differently in that specific acre compared to other parts?

Don’t get me wrong, Jaune’s looking mighty good in his more mature age. A little rusty but otherwise fine.

I just wanna know if it’ll be permanent. Like when the group finally return to Remnant, will Jaune still be older or are the CRWBY showrunners gonna pull a Chronicles of Narnia or Marco Diaz from Star Vs the Forces of Evil where Jaune will revert back to his younger self as soon as he returns home but his heart will remember everything like the Curious Cat said?

I guess I’ll have to wait and see for next week.

Overall, Chapter 5 was another solid episode. As I'll reiterate, I dug the new lore drop that we got this episode.

Dug the interesting development that Ruby got too with her meeting the weird Metal Lady.

And I definitely loved the new theme that played during WBY's fight against the Jabber-Neos. I can’t wait for the full version to come out whenever.

Other than that, that’s all I have to say as my first impressions of this episode. Might share some more deeper thoughts later but that's all for now folks.

New series idea: what if I drew how specific lines/moments in spn make me feel? Stream of consciousness, I think of it and whatever I come up with goes. First installment: “It’s kind of like being chained to a comet.”

this is a really broad question, but how can I develop a plot based on my ideas about characters and themes? I feel like I understand my characters well but when it's time to have them actually DO something and plot, I struggle LOL. thank you! 😊

Truthfully? I have exactly the same problem. I think at one point I had Pinterest boards with over 25 of my original characters (yep... here for reference.) with absolutely no story to put the ocs in. I love character development, but I’m just really terrible at thinking of a plot. Personally, what I always try to figure out about each of my ocs is their personality traits, their general likes and dislikes, and at least some notion of what sort of family (or lack thereof) they come from. From there, I start to brainstorm about their motivations, desires, and where they are going in life. Then I’ll either look up prompts to develop them more, or I’ll think of what they would do in certain situations. For my NaNoWriMo project this year, I literally took 7 of my ocs and tossed them together in purgatory, so we’ll see where that goes.

My best advice on this is to focus on their goals and motivations, and what will impede them from getting there. I have a little method I recently came up with that illustrates how I sort of think of character arcs. After coming up with how the character changes, you can put a few together and use them to affect each other.

Clearly my talent lies with words and not art.

Your character is the black dot. From left to right is the length of the story. Ultimately, your character will change throughout the plot. If you decide in the beginning that they are going to succeed in their goal, you take the teal route and throw obstacles and reinforcements at them. The pink route is the same but ending in failure. When you make a map of many characters (black dots) and plot points (squiggles) intersecting with each other, you can ultimately come up with a way to reach a goal, or fail miserably, even if it wasn’t the first character’s initial intention.

That could be too complicated. You may rather do like I did and toss a bunch of characters together and rely on prompts and interactions to move the plot along. It’s all about how you execute your process, like if you plan/outline or just go for it.

This was a mess, but I hope the sympathy alone gave you a bit of help. —Z

Tasting the Stars

Just a little short, short story written for a contest on a toad facebook group. It's randomized, but I still had a blast with my for fun entry. Made my heart squiggle.

There once was a toad that found herself lost in the shadow between earth and sky, a purgatory of her own making.

Her brothers chirped coyly at her back, her sisters hopping with delight, but still she remained on the old porch step, empty of moths and full of dreams as she stared up, up and up.

Again and again, she found herself lost, even with the small delights of rain and the always dapper anoles meeting for tea in the garden.

She wanted to go higher, higher than any toad ever had before, to become lost in the beauty of stardust and creation--and yet, her hop was far too weak.

But then one day, the young toad had the brightest idea, tilting her head back and shooting her lovely tongue straight at the sky and and...oh, how stardust truly tasted wonderful.

Another progress update on Rhythm Limbo (sequel to Rhythm Purgatory). A lot of them need some minor fixups, but a squiggled line in the top left means that it needs some major additions before I’m happy to call them done. Even so, I’m almost certain it’ll be ready to release before February. Which song (out of the ones checked) would you all want to see as a preview?

had a wild dream last night like

it was some kind of apocalypse and i survived a good bit of it by just sticking with my creative writing teacher which was the most realistic part cause she’s Good In A Crisis and also a Literal Angel

but then i was chilling with my friends and these two girls came up, called me by name, and said i had to go with them.

me: yes obviously

them: and our scanner shows that in the real world your body is deteriorating which means it’s time for you to die / u to kill you

them: but it’s weird cause normally when this happens people start fading but you don’t look faded at all??

me: then maybe instead of killing me y’all should just like.:,, wait and see

so then i got to hang out in purgatory for a while, aka my school gym crossed with my old daycare’s movie room. i just kinda sat on the bleachers and chilled with a friend of mine, who must have been in kahoots with the gals cause she never got reaped. we chatted about harry potter and such.

but then my friends started being brought in and i was distressed, obvi, because that meant they were about to die!! but all i could think to do was cry and be like “i love you be safe!!! :(((“

and then the Guy In Charge realized they weren’t killing me so he came down and was like “it’s time for an Elimination Challenge”

and i wish i could put in a picture cause it was so vivid in the dream but it’s not gonna make sense. imagine a pool with like six horizontal bars running the legnth of the pool arranged kinda like this, front view:

with the squiggles being the water. and the challenge was to load up with floaties and make your way across without letting go of the bar. and this is so obviously rigged because on the bottom bars you can just walk but the top one is all upper arm strength?? AND i was spooked cause i can’t swim

RWBY Remarks: When a Farm Boy meets a Fallen Huntress

I know Ruby Rose is playing cliff-hanger right now hanging off the edge of a cliff while Oscar could damn well be dead in an airship crash right however…the diehard Rosegardener in me couldn’t help but wish that there was a shore line below Ruby. Like imagine if… Oscar had been blown out of the airship before Maria did her best to pilot the thing so it wouldn’t crash and Ruby spots Oscar's unconscious body floating on the water and lets herself fall into its depths to Oscar before her drowned.

Then after Weiss helps Ruby and Oscar back onto the shore with her Queen Wasp, Ruby tries to resuscitate Oscar by giving him CPR but he doesn’t respond. Just an excuse to see Ruby give Oscar the kiss of life. We all know that ain’t gonna happen but a Rosegardener could dream.

Alright enough joshing around. Let’s get into the meat of my remark, alright. As I said, I’m actually hoping that Maria Calavera somehow manages to pilot the airship well enough that she’s able to land it perfectly without damaging it too so that the heroes could make their speedy getaway as soon as they manage to take down Caroline for good. 

I feel like Maria has the skills.to make a good landing without destroying the ship completely. Either that or Weiss helps her out by manifesting an ice slide or perhaps gravity glyphs to give the ship a smoother landing just as she did with the Argus Limited in the first episode. Overall, I’m not worried about Maria or the ship next episode. The one person who I don’t think will be okay is Oscar.  I feel like that explosion from the missile might’ve have knocked him out or worse.

 I feel like next week we'll be getting Oscar reuniting with Ozpin in the Realm between Realms. As much as I would have loved to see Oscar deep dive into his own mind to find Ozpin, I feel the CRWBY might more like just have Oscar meet Ozpin in the Realm for the emphasis of proving that the crash was more serious than it was led to believe.

Like perhaps…Oscar does temporarily die as a result of the crash and he suffers and outer boy near death type of experience where his soul (and essentially Ozpin’s) winds up trapped in the Realm Between Realms which is basically the purgatory of the RWBY universe. Imagine if… the Realm between Realms is where all lost souls who aren’t able to move on in death go to wander the void for eternity until they can let go of whatever is holding them back from moving on to the afterlife. Do you know what would be an interesting twist?

What if…before meeting Ozpin, Oscar finds an unexpected familiar face. What if…Oscar meets Pyrhha Nikkos in the Realm Between Realms?

Like perhaps… after the Fall of Beacon, Pyrhha’s soul wasn’t able to move on so she pretty much wound up stuck in the Realm unable to move on and Oscar ends up having a talk with Pyrhha about sacrifice. And through Oscar, who informs Pyrhha of all the events that happened with her former friends and her teammates after Beacon, Pyrhha is finally able to move on. One comparison I’ve heard about Oscar is that his experience in joining the huntsmen is almost similar to Pyrhha’s. So I think Oscar meeting Pyrhha is limbo could be a nice twister of a twist because I doubt anyone would expect something like that, right? All the more reason that it could be cool if it does happen.

The reason why I brought up this small hunch is because Jen Brown, Pyrhha’s VA, made an announcement over on Twitter yesterday that she has something to teaser the FNDM with next week that would make us very happy. Unless the news is something Pyrhha related then I don’t see what else it could be?

What would be really nice is if the Jen’s teaser is a screenshot of Pyrhha’s model rendered in the new RWBY Maya engine to reveal that we are going to see Pyrhha at some point for the V6 finale.

I really dig the idea of Oscar encountering Pyrhha in the Realm and Pyrhha helping Oscar to find Ozpin so the two could talk things out or whatnot. I don’t know if this will actually happen but it’d be pretty amazing if it were the case. It’d be interesting if we got to see Oscar meet Pyrhha in the Realm because her soul hasn’t been able to move on after the Fall of Beacon but by the end of V6, Pyrhha’s soul can finally move on as her spirit watches over her teammates welcoming Oscar onto their team reviving Team JNPR while an approving spirit Pyrhha smiles before walking into the afterlife to rest in peace.

Again, this is all just me spouting theories again but imagine how cool it would have been to see something like that done. But, who knows? We’ll see for V6 C12.

Squiggles Answers:

Righto. Whelp I think it’s official to say that V6 C11 has dispelled my theories of the Fire and Ice-cream duo showing up in Argus to challenge our titular Rosebuds for a rematch. At least for this volume. There is still hope for the Atlas Arc. I’m not letting go of these theories just yet.

I’m actually happy with this development because if I’m correct in Oscar dying while trying to protect Ruby and achieving immortality through an unexpected encounter with the God of Light then imagine how much more powerful that moment would be if it’s done in a future season when Ruby and Oscar’s relationship has blossomed further to the point where mutual romantic interest starts to form. So for now, I’m going to stick a pin in this theory of mine for the time being.

Building off of what you guys presented here, I’m going to present to you two new possibilities for how the next episode---V6 C12 can go:

Possibility 1

Looking back on C11, I noticed that the airship doors were actually opened on both sides of the ship. How convenient. I say so in support of Cora’s hunch about Oscar falling out of the ship and Ruby using her semblance to save him. What if…as the missile went off and Maria is doing her best to pilot it from completely crashing, Oscar ends up stumbling background and right out the conveniently opened left-side compartment door to the airship.

As Oscar is falling from ship, Ruby who is also conveniently positioned hanging from the cliff side, spots Oscar’s descent and thinking quickly, Ruby uses Crescent Rose to one-shot propel herself into the air with enough momentum to spiral herself into her semblance catching Oscar before he can hit the water.

While Ruby saves Oscar, Weiss sees to it that Maria safely lands the ship by using her gravity glyphs on the airship to slow down its descent and soften the crash. We actually saw Weiss make use of this technique twice before. 

Last volume when she used her gravity glyphs to soften the crash with the Atlesian pilot and in this volume’s first episode with the Argus Limited crash. So I can definitely see Weiss aiding Maria in landing the Atlesian ship before her and JNR go to make sure that Maria and the ship are in one piece after landing in the forests not too far from the cliffs.

The reason why I wouldn’t mind if Ruby used her semblance to save Oscar in this instance is a) obvious Rosegardening Rosebuds moment and b) Oscar’s mention of figuring out something regarding Cordo’s mechazord. I feel like Oscar needs to be conscious for the next episode otherwise how else is he going to be helpful in helping everyone stop Cordo?

A part of me actually would love it if Oscar’s plan involves actually going inside of the Atlesian Mechazord; that way Ruby and Oscar can aid everyone from within while the others help from the outside. I don’t know what it is that Oscar figured out about Cordo but I’d actually love it if somehow, someway; the Rosebuds end up inside the Mechazord and work towards finding a way to stop it from the inside while keeping in close communication with the others on the outside.

A part of me really just wants an entire episode dedicated to Ruby and Oscar just working together to help thwart Cordo who is practically maniacal at this point. If Ruby catches Oscar from falling then she’d need a good place to land where the two can be safe. It’d be interesting if of all the places Ruby could land it’s right on top one of the ice platforms Weiss conjured which in the end Oscar says is perfect since he will need Ruby’s help to get him inside Cordo’s mechazord.

Since attacking it from the inside failed then their next best bet is to go inside, right? Again, I just want an entire episode dedicated to the Rosebuds working together to thwart Cordo while the others hold down the fort and work to repair the airship from the outside before they can fly back in to help them.

Weiss and Jaune will both need time to cool down and recharge their auras because they both seemed the most battered by this battle.

One thing I don’t understand about this fight is why they didn’t just have Jaune amplify Weiss’ aura levels so that she can summon her Armor Gigas? I mean, as indicated in V5, the Armor Gigas can change its size so… why not have Weiss just summon her Gigas and make it grow to the size worthy of taking down the Mechazord?

If she needs more aura to achieve such a feat then there is Jaune to give that extra firepower. It’s just an obvious strategy option I wondered about during this episode y’know. Who knows? We might still see it. But for now, I’m just gonna hang on to the point of Oscar surviving the crash through Ruby’s help and the two working together on their own to stop Cordo from the belly of the beast.

Will this happen? I really dunno but I’m leaving it open as a possibility.

Possibility 2

Whelp, this is one I’ve been singing since C11 ended. What if…the plane crashes but not too badly since Weiss was able to assist with her gravity glyphs. But although Maria makes it out alive and well, Oscar on the other hand isn’t so hot. During the crash Oscar either gets knocked unconscious or seriously injured, putting him at death’s doorstep in the Realm between Realms while in the real world, the others do their best to resuscitate him.

From there, Oscar has his full episode of focus with reuniting with Ozpin. Maybe even Pyrhha will be there for Oscar to have his encounter with her and for Oscar to help Pyrhha to move onto the afterlife by informing her of what happened to her friends and former JNR teammates or something like that.

If this happens, a part of me would actually love a nod to Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood when Ed found Al’s body in purgatory and promised him he’d bring him back some day. I think it could be interesting if Oscar and Ozpin’s reunion ends on a sour note where Ozpin is trapped in the Realm between Realms and try as he might, Oscar can’t get him back because he doesn’t want to come back or whatever. So Oscar makes a promise to Ozpin, like Edward did to Al that he’ll bring him back someday. Just…wait for him.

From there, Oscar wakes back up in the real world and returns to helping the others---awakening the Oz-cane. I don’t expect an Oscar semblance reveal but I do wanna see an Oz-cane magic trick along with a badass Oscar battle theme.

I know some fans want to see Ozpin and maybe see him come back by the end of this season but…personally I don’t. I feel like Ozpin’s isolation holds more meaning to it. I actually want the Merge to be prolonged until the Atlas Arc just so that we can have more time with the story developing Oscar as his own character outside of Ozpin.

I’m not sure if I wish to hope for this to be the case in the event that my expectations might be crushed. It’s just something I would’ve liked to see done. Since Oscar mentioned himself having limited time then I honestly feel like that time should be spent developing him as his own person; seeing him build his own bonds with the other characters all the while giving us audience members more time to get to know more about Oscar.

After 5 seasons and his backstory in this volume, I feel like I already know what I need to know about Ozpin---Ozma. I’m still learning things about Oscar so I’d like more seasons to get to know him as him before the inevitable; y’know what I mean?

Now that I think about it. I actually don’t want Oscar to be out for the duration of C11. I actually wouldn’t mind if he gets knocked out by the end of C12, having his Ozpin reunion for the final episode of the season.

I think it would make a really terrific cliff-hanger for C12 if we actually do get to see Oscar get hurt and put in the Realm between Realms while trying to protect Ruby. Going off of my first possibility, perhaps we’ll get to see Ruby and Oscar fight a crazed Cordo inside her mechazord.

 Imagine if…Cordo at some point loses control of her Mechazord and the machinery starts pillaging through Argus heading straight for the Wall which would be destroyed if the group don’t do something to stop it. I actually dig the idea of Ruby and Oscar facing off against Cordo inside the mechazord.

If Ruby and Oscar somehow end up inside the mechazord making their way up to Cordo; imagine if they arrive at the passenger’s cockpit only to find the seat empty and the zord moving on its own on some kind of autopilot. And as Oscar and Ruby check for Cordo, they are suddenly blindsided by the special operative who comes charging at them out of nowhere with a giant weapon.

Perhaps Cordo has a battle axe/magnum gun weapon that she suddenly whips out to make mincemeat out of our Rosebuds, going straight for their heads only for something to happen during the fight. Like perhaps Cordo swings her axe straight into the controls for the Mechazord which short-circuits the machine causing it to go berserk and start moving on its own.

So Ruby, Oscar and Cordo are all trapped inside the Mechazord while the titan-sized bucket of bolts rampages the forests of Argus, reaping nothing but destruction in its walk heading straight for the Wall of Argus. Because if the Wall is destroyed then that will certainly bring forth panic and distress to the People of Argus and a whole population widespread of panic will definitely bring forth the Grimm lurking near the area.

The fact that the Wall of Argus was highlighted in C7 still bothers me along with the fact that Oscar was the one seen in the shot with the Wall. If I had to make an assumption going off that then I’d like to think that if anything were to happen to the Wall, it’d be Oscar who ends up saving the day through the magic of the Oz-cane; somehow

If the Mechazord does go berserk then it’d be interesting if the group actually wind up saving both Argus and Cordo. That and a part of me would also love to see a parallel to this scene between Ozma and Salem with Ruby and Oscar. I don’t care how it’s done I just would love to see it done where at the end of it all, Ruby and Oscar survive the mechazord fight together and just take a moment to catch their breaths before looking at each other and smiling.

Maybe Ruby smiles at Oscar and he looks away kind of blushing. Ruby then asks Oscar “What do we do now?” mimicking Salem in the Lost Fable only for Oscar to outstretch his hand to her; mimicking Ozma saying “Whatever we like.”

Not sure if we’ll get any of what I just theorized but once more, a squiggle meister can dream. I hope this answers you guys @miggy97 and @miraculouscorazone. Let me know your thoughts on my thoughts if possible. In the meantime, that’s my full $2.50.
