Honestly batman should be holding up Jason as a shining example to his other children because he wears a full head covering helmet.

Okay, this is a ramble, but hear me out.
I've never been a Supes girl - the goody two shoes attitude was always off putting for me. My foray into DC was mostly restricted to Christian Bale's Batman and the occasional glimpses of Wonder Woman.
But then I watched Justice League and I was like - oh, the angsty superbat fanfiction potential is strong in this one.
Then I read all the superbat fanfiction I could find, and I started appreciating Superman in a vague, he's good to associate with Batman kind of way.
Today, I finally watched Man of Steel ( I know, I'm late) and oh boy, oh boy. I get it.
Henry Cavill' Superman. He's just a man and he is so much more. The simmering rage, the barely restrained violence writ in every line of his body. The clench of his jaw and the constant spark of defiance and power in his eyes. The way he holds himself with the ease of a man who knows he's the most powerful guy in the room.
And at the heart of it all, he's still a good man. More human than most people he shares the earth with. Ready to lay his life on the line, but he'll be damned if anyone tries to tell him what to do.
I can see injustice happening. All it would take to set this Superman off is one wrong move, and all his carefully maintained control would just snap. A slow smirk, the casual tilt of his neck and a flash of those pure blue eyes would be the last thing this world would see before it all turned red.

I am very intrigued by how the "Toa Tool" thing works.
Like, yeah, some are made by Arthaka or other famous universe toolsmiths, but for many matoran-turned-toa, their tools are often related to their professions or straight up are tools they had in hand that are transformed alongside them during the metamorphosis.
Vakama was a mask carver, carving masks from kanoka disks, and his tool turned out to be a launcher that could use the raw materials of his profession as projectiles (well, not a hard thing considering they already are used as projectiles by many, but still...).
Takua's Chronicler staff became Takanuva's Staff of light, a powerful weapon that, coincidentally, could also function as a rather deadly version of a Kohili Stick.
These items also seem to be strongly tied with their own wielder physical being, as the toa Hagah weapons were transformed along their users, but despite this, they can also be left behind for the sake of better equipment (Mahri Kongu) which, although understandable in some cases (Two hands), still feels weird. That's not just a weapon, that's a part of you.
Its such an interesting concept that seems so often discarded in favour of elemental powers and mask, but like... Its YOUR weapon. It is related to a matoran entire being, their life, their experiences and things they enjoy. It's a way to use one's passion in a way that lets them protect others, and often also have additional functions based on what they may need. How cool is that? Think about it.
There could be a toa of ice whose job as a matoran was janitor and their weapon is a mop that can freeze its tendrils and become a morningstar, or generate a frozen layer over what its passed over, painting ice paths in an instant.
There could be a toa of air who had a passion for botany and took care of the MU version of bonsai trees, their precision shears turned into a huge, bulky pair of scissors that can be used as a broadsword that can also manipulate air currents to cut things from distance.
There could be a toa of iron whose main job was welding, and lo and behold, the clunky, cumbersome equipment he struggled to drag around became a big flamethrower that it wears like a backpack, complete with a welding mask integrated on top of their own kanohi as a visor.
There could be a Toa of stone who enjoyed the life of a performer, juggling, somersaulting, doing precision throws and whose tool is now a set of spiky or bladed clubs that can bounce on surfaces and enemies alike and then return to them.
A toa of Psionics whose dream to write stories manifested into a strange staff, originally their writing stylus, able to manifest masterful illusions by writing words inside the enemy minds and trap them in stories through the mere strength of their narration.

I think Nightcloud's Thaw (assuming you keep that title) is a great idea not only because your Nightcloud is so interesting and because she as a character deserves more spotlight, but also because it would be interesting to see Crowfeather begin to change from her perspective. After all, you said it was a surprise he offered to help save Breezepelt at all- and what better way to show that than for us to not be inside his head when he makes the decision to offer to help?
I'm feeling more and more confident about it. I think BB!Nightcloud is absolutely the best choice of a character to observe the events of "Crowfeather's Trial," now Nightcloud's Thaw.
Nightcloud's Thaw is an okay title for now, but I want to bat around some more names.
It's meant to invoke the way her life begins to turn around, after Crowfeather's exile; beginning with that reveal, how Crowfeather's behavior reaches a breaking point in the Clan, her reputation turn-around, and finally accepting Crowfeather's help in aiding Breezepelt.
So "thaw" is one way to put it... but if I could capture something more related to the change of seasons or time, that would be good too. Nightcloud's Daybreak, Nightcloud's Horizon.
We can go through Nightcloud's process of unlearning with her.
The dread and fury at the reveal, the shock when Crowfeather actually sees a consequence, and the way that suddenly the Clan is sympathetic towards her in a way they'd never been
How this newfound empathy feels somewhat insulting to her, but, how it helps her start to realize that she DOESN'T deserve how Crow treats her.
Makes it easy to truncate most of OotS, can quickly be described as "they stayed together slightly longer, but if it wasn't dead, their relationship was quickly dying."
And really get to the meat of the story with how Crowfeather deflecting the blame of their son's Dark Forest training on her was the LAST straw. For everyone. Including Crowfeather himself.
(I think I'll actually change around the fight in the BOTTE to be Breeze attacking CROW, and Lionblaze STOPS him. Because killing his pathetic dad, in the end, wouldn't fix anything and would ruin his life forever. Really change it to stress that no one likes Crowfeather because of how he keeps treating people. If Crow wants to turn that around, he has to CHANGE.)
(Plus, something just feels nice about letting the two have a bond. Something about how they were both pulled out of the dirt at the Kitty Olympics and washed clean by Nightcloud, starting this deep, brotherly bond somehow. I'll have to revisit this.)
Nightcloud alone can link the way that Crowfeather is trying to change himself, AND the way Breezepelt is getting worse, in the way I want
She's cautious of Crowfeather, for good, obvious reasons. He hurt her, and has only ever used her good faith as leverage against her.
And she's charitable to Breezepelt, because she knows exactly what pain is behind his rash, emotional behaviors.
SO I can frame them both in the way I want through her eyes.
Plus, I need a place to put her childhood. If it's not here, I wouldn't have a good spot to put it.
I could link all the flashback segments with having Addersong pass away, since he would be VERY old at this point. It could be very bittersweet for her
She spent so much time away from her beloved mentor, who taught her so much.
She could have had so many wonderful years with him, his advice, and his songs. But now he's an elder in his last moons
All because she let her heart be hardened after the death of her family. Pain lead her astray so many times...
I'll probably rework a LOT of the stoat stuff. I know right away there's a lot of actions in CT I want to rip away from Crowfeather and hand over to Breezepelt; a lot of the loud, openly argumentative moments he has with Onestar for example. SHOW the way that Breezepelt interprets Harespring/Darkseeker's diplomatic responses as "sniveling and traitorous" to him.
Have Nightcloud be trying to bridge this gap between Breezepelt and his Clanmates with her new reputation, and it just not working.
Maybe shuffle Nightcloud's disappearance near the end of the book, around the time that the Kin appears. Show that his mother being suspected dead was a BIG reason Breezepelt made such an emotional choice to join the Kin, and bring his other allies with him.

okay i know that this is just An Cathedral, and Hels is full of them, but the thought of Tanguish doing God Help The Outcasts in the Saint of Blood and Steel's Church unaware that the Saint himself is *right there* and holding a grudge about it is sending me. smh the real reason he wants to get rid of Tanguish is that he keeps turning his shrine into a musical theater
Oh, Tanguish is singing in the Saint's Church! We haven't gotten there yet [and probably won't for awhile because I have the writer's block of the century] but Tanguish doesn't like the Saint of Blood and Steel. They don't agree on key points about what makes someone worthy of being given love and reassurance by a higher power. That's fine though. The Saint doesn't care if people like them. The Saint only cares if they are fighting for a worthy cause.
Anyway, have a sneak peak of the Saint's Altar [based off of the altar at Notre Dame]
The Saint's statue is actually a lot bigger than this, I just can't draw it massive easily, so,,, here's a small guy instead. His actual statue is probably around 50ft tall, with a sword made of red glass. The guy in the comic is probably closer to 20ft tall, so decent parts of him can fit in a panel without the foreshortening ruining everything.

Minewt is so very very important to me
Minho, who is strong and confident, but not emotionally, someone who shies away from more delicate moments, squirms when it gets emotional, will do something nice for someone else but will not make eye contact as he does so
Newt, who is strong and confident, especially emotionally, someone who will grin as they accept help, someone who will willingly die to help someone else, someone who will hug someone in public and not show a hint of shame after, someone who will cry and not care if they're seen
Minho falling head over heels for that sense of safety, for that confidence, for that unabashed vulnerability. Meanwhile Newt is utterly clueless
while Minho is doing things that are the pinnacle of romance to his "affection is awkward" mind, Newt is just like "hey Minho left me a snack! he's been really nice lately :D"

All hail Gajeel Redfox: The Iron Dragon Slayer.
And Fairy Tail’s enemy…until further notice that is.
I really like his character design and the emphasis on iron throughout his look. From the piercings to the gloves and boots, he definitely own his element. I really appreciate his growth as a character throughout the series. From being a very focused on showing power to learning to appreciate those around him, it is truly inspiring to see. I love his relationship with Juvia! And Levy and Gajeel make a wonderful couple. I would love to get more side projects on his life as a detective or in the Magic Council.
