Book 1 of my series, Starbourne, is FREE!! For the other books please donate $6 per book to one of the aforementioned links. I'm planning on making this a series of 9, but currently working on book 2.

Doing one of those note things for motivation (or notivation because notes lol)

25 notes - I do the dishes and clean out the litter box (done, for now... But these are Sisyphean tasks)

50 notes - I clean up around the house (I did a little cleanup, might do more later)

100 notes - I do a little work on my book (it still needs editing before I can publish it and write the sequel, but I'll do some work on that when my PC stops crashing)

250 notes - I start working on book 2 (or work harder on editing book 1 if it still needs it)

500 notes - I participate in artfight (in the first July after it reaches this threshold. I doubt it'll get there by this month.)

1k notes - I start working on a video game in the Starbourne multiverse. A small one, like Undertale is to Deltarune. I'm calling it Saturn Robe which is an anagram for Starbourne, like Undertale is for Deltarune.

2.5k notes - I start working on my dream game, Starbourne. The one that's the reason I started writing in the first place. (If the small game isn't finished I work harder on that)

5k notes - I dedicate my time to taking care of myself/my partner/my family, and working on my dream game.

10k notes - I become a god in the Tumblrverse (this will not happen)

I want Greta Gerwig to stop chasing the bag and to revive mumblecore. Narnia on Netflix? I’m sure the check is huge and good for her but that sounds like something of 0 creative merit. Just bc her whole specialty are writing these scripts that flow like dreams /flood of memories…and something like narnia is really already so dreamscape but contingent on a linear narrative…I’m sure it will be very successful but I want her to flesh out her style on subjects other than herself. It’s like she wrote all these fables on her own life then once that well dried up she branded herself as this big production director like Ridley Scott or Steven Spielberg. I dont think Barbie was as universal as it was meant to be. I feel conflicted on that to this day. There’s so many bold decisions in it and not all of them landed but it felt heavily edited by producer notes.

The implications of The Wizard of Oz being a Nebulae in ORV is so interesting because it does bring up the question of what are the qualifications for fiction rising up to Constellation status.

Of course we have Journey to the West and it's a fictional story same with the Iliad but these are stories that are 1,000+ years old and have been told over and over and over. The Wizard of Oz isn't even 150 years old.

To what degree of influence must a piece of fiction be to rise to constellationhood? Would something such as Lord of the Rings (a work that defined the modern day idea of fantasy) have characters that would be popular enough to be constellations? Gandalf the Grey? Frodo? Bilbo? Smaug?

Then this brings up another question of does it matter how old the fiction is? In the modern day era of the internet the speed at which something might enter the public consciousness is far faster. Would a fiction such as Homestuck, a deeply influential work that was so massively popular it changed the regulations of fan conventions, find it's way into the stars? Is it too young despite its undeniable influence?

What if stories that are 2 decades old but by this point have defined an entire generation of creatives?

Neon Genesis Evangelion is noted to have quite literally saved the Japanese animation industry and exploded into the public consciousness. It is a deeply infamous media that has sparked continuous discussion for 20+ years. Do those debates and scholarly articles count towards the development of fables? Does the references to it in modern day animation count towards the development of Stories?

Revolutionary Girl Utena left its mark on many queer showrunners, and it's referenced frequently throughout many different modern animations. Steven Universe was hugely influential in its own right and many of the inspirations for one of its main characters (Pearl) comes from RGU (to the point where not only is the Pearl^2 fusion Utenanthy but also there is a duel that occurs that mimicks Utena's duelling shot for shot!). Does it's legacy being carried on through animated love letters to it count towards the development of Stories?

Sailor Moon, a piece of fiction that influenced RGU, has undeniably changed the magical girl genre and is so popular that it is also frequently referenced by modern day animation. It is so popular that this site saw a redraw challenge of a frame from Sailor Moon going around for months. It is one of the most famous magical girl shows and when one thinks of magical girls, oftentimes Sailor Moon is right up there with what comes to mind. Similar to Lord of the Rings, does the definition of a genre count towards a legacy that builds Stories?

And even then we must ask ourselves: does fanfiction count towards Stories? Does retelling the story over and over again in new ways count towards the development of a Story? Does it count even more so as the creative projects that retell it become grander and more complicated (such as the variety of Undertale fangames and fancomics).

It's interesting to think about where the limits lie.

sure things! though for the most part it's just dream and nightmare...but edgy and evil dream is an asshole to his brother and joins in on abusing him with the villagers, any dark, deplorable thing you can think of he's done it to poor nightmare, dream's got an ego bigger than himself

dream's also the reason pre-corrupted nightmare has a chain around his leg, dream chained his brother to a tree during a terrible storm, leaving him to nearly freeze to death, of course, dream would never let his brother die, not because he cares, he needs his punching bag

nightmare...nightmare is a miserable pile of secrets, a total crybaby whos traumaized and scared of everyone, he ate the black apple because he was sick of the abuse from the villagers and his own brother, a voice deep inside him told him to get up off the dirt and fight back, so he did

corrupted nightmare doesnt remember much what happened after(ha. trauma) but now...hes a big goopy femboy, he wears dresses and makeup and all things girly but dont be fooled...he can make your worst fears come true (his bad sanses team deeply respect him and want whats best for him, his team also calls him 'daddy' not in a sexual way, in a fatherless behavior way)

nightmare used to have four tentacles like regular nightmare but his brother ripped his lower tentacles off, there is scarring but you cant see it well cause of goop.

he can also cause other people to cry when he cries (think blue diamond from steven universe) he's not good at controlling this magic spell and will just burst into tears and ruin anyone nearby's day

dream's star sanses is called the 'fallen fables' and they all HATE each other (dream and fellswap sans respect each other mainly because they both hate fell!ink)
