I have had a crush on a guy for over a year now and it’s not going awayyyyy. It’s so cringe. And angsty.

I’m super over it but then I have a dream about him and I fucken spiral into giggly kicking my feet and texting him stupid shit. And it sucks because he don’t like me like that and that’s fine. I can cope with not being liked (no I can’t). But sometimes every now and then we have this banter and just outrageous flirting and I fall all over again.

It’s really playing on my insecurities too. Like my rejection sensitivity disphoria has been so bad this entire year because I fall back into bad habits of “well I’ll just change my entire persona to be more pleasing to everyone else so that they will like me, and if they like me then I will finally be granted the love I crave”.

I just can’t believe iv got to figure out how to love myself all over again because a stupid crush has fucked up my mentality that bad. For like a year! I was doing so good before. JEEZ.

it’s so funny going into monsterfucker spaces and seeing people argue about whether Venom is a tame monster crush or not and I think I figured out why ppl argue about it. I think there’s two separate levels to liking Venom and people just don’t specify which one they’re talking about

the first is what most people think of: you want Venom when they’re in a separate host and in their more humanoid form. they look like just a really tall guy, and you’ve got some monster traits involved but not quite as many as level two. this is the tame level.

the second level is when you want to be their host. you’re pulling an eddie brock— you’re fucking the slime that lives inside of you and cannot take on a humanoid form outside of yourself. it’s just a mass of black goop that lives in your organs and speaks to you in your head. this is why some people would consider Venom a more extreme monster crush

obviously zuko needed katara to forgive him because of the significance of their relationship to the narrative like it was thematically destined that they become friends and fight azula together and have zuko take lightning for her and have katara save his life by healing his wound like it was all soooo important to the themes and the plot and the symbols set up in the show. but the reason why zuko wanted katara to forgive him was beyond stupid. he wasn't at all aware that she was his foil/parallel/mirror/soulmate/twin flame as ordained by the narrative, he just had a big fat crush on a boy and wanted to impress his family. totally oblivious to the fact that he & katara are both deuteragonists in a sweeping tale of revolution, he barged into sokka's tent to be like "hey uhhh idk why but it's suddenly really important to me that ur sister likes me lol. umm what her name again btw??? katana???"
