URBAN FANTASY WORLD BUILDING: CITY LIFE
-Imagine the city having different boroughs just like how New York has five. The cities boroughs are full of different cultures not only human cultures but, different species. Fae town where most of the fae folk and nature witches live is right next to Sunnyside where thrift shops and has a very rich history. Or an affluent family of magic users living in the highest penthouse in the prospects.
-A car dealership/ mechanic shop that is run by goblins. Just Goblins. Goblins who not only fix your car (for a good price lol) but, will  also keep your spare parts too. Most of the time they will just horde them. Just imagine two gobbos squabbling about different parts of the truck or both of them trading small trinkets of car parts for shinier versions of them.
-Living in a huge apartment complex with interesting neighbors human and non human alike. Like Miss Mabel who’s an old lady witch who bakes bread on the forth floor with her adopted Minotaur son, or the nice werewolf couple who lives at the complex because it’s close to the school where all of their children go to.
-Large bustling office business buildings with multiple employees working all day every day in their office cubicles not only working but, also talking amongst themselves in normal office gossip. Some young account is trying to talk up the the new gorgon secretary in the office however, her snakes keep him at a safe distance, The orc boss is secretly planning an office winter party because of all the hard work they have put in to this quarter, one chatty spinx co-worker is being cryptic about why Sharron from HR got booted from the company with sly smiles and riddles.
-Corner stores that are owned by people of the community. They know their customers by name and their family. They know everything from the young middle schoolers who come in for a slice of pizza to the older folks who come in for their daily coffee. The stores are a hodgepodge of different general store items and magic items.
-Extravagant theaters that host everything from ballets to musical theater. The arts district of the city is more than magical with how much some people incorporate magic into their works. Painters who make their paintings actually move and flow with their brush strokes, a sculpture who sculpted a piece that might have accidentally came to life, a ballerina who’s beauty is not only popular with the masses but, also haunting due to the fact that she has ghosts who help her with her routines, and more people who thrive on creating a wonderfully interesting environment.
-Skyscrapers that house dragons who love to sun bath on the roof of large office buildings. Sometimes they have a interesting relationship with the workers of the office where sometimes they give the dragon some of their extra donuts from their morning breakfast in turn they use their tail to shield them from the hot summer sun.
-Construction sites where not only humans work on the sites but, also larger species as well. Larger species such as orcs and ogres help with the heavy lifting of certain objects. Giants are also very helpful along construction sights since they can lift anything with ease and can lift them up on high places. Giants also help out when someone might accidentally misstep on a ledge and fall, they can easily just catch them in their hand with a “please be more careful next time” look.

So I keep talking about that Pixar Super Smash bros idea and I’m going to continue because I think it would be cool
So the character roster would be: Woody, Buzz, Sulley, Mike, Jessie, Flik, Mr. Incredible, WALL-E, Dory, Ember, Ian, Atta, Joy, Barley, Wade, Merida, Elastigirl, Imelda, EVE, McQueen, Joe, Syndrome, Remy, Mater, Bo Peep, Dash, Violet, Jack-Jack, Sadness, Bing-Bong, Hopper, Doc Hudson, Linguini, 22, Luca, Alberto, Giulia, Meilin, Latso, Arlo, Spot, Anger, Disgust, Fear, Harris Hubert & Hamish, Marlin, Nemo, Crush, Randal, Carl, Dug, Héctor, Miguel, Ernesto, Evelyn/Screenslaver, Ming Lee, and probably even more! Or maybe some of these would just be spirit fighters/bosses
Arena ideas: Andy’s Bedroom, Sunnyside daycare, Monsters Inc. factory, 4*Town concert arena, Ant Island, Radiator Springs, Gusteau’s restaurant/city of Paris, Portorosso, DunBroch castle, Element City, East Australian Current, Carl’s house (as it floats around buildings and clouds and eventually ends in Paradise Falls), Riley’s mind (switches between Honesty Island, Goofball Island, etc), Land of the Dead, Monsters University campus, The Great Before, a Cars’ themed racing arena, Clawtooth Mountain, Bug City, the Axiom, Pizza Planet, P Sherman’s dentist office, and many more!
Special items: the Pixar ball that you can throw at opponents, a plate of ratatouille (and other dishes from the movie) that can heal damage, an Incredibles mask that temporarily gives you one of the families’ powers, a Zurg arm-cannon that shoots tennis balls, and of course the Assist Trophy that calls another character to aid you in battle! I imagine characters from this item would be like Pepita, Rex, Kevin, Sox, Massimo, AUTO, Gale, the circus bugs, Jackson Storm, Fergus, Bruce, etc. Basically characters that had some importance in the movies’ but that I don’t think would be in the official playable roster

Dazzle your friends and family with these classic Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cakes. Fruity, gooey, and caramelly this is one of America's favorite cakes. These individual cakes are perfect with any number of dinners from a down home barbecue to an upscale dinner party. No more dense cakes. The two step yellow cake is tender, featherlight, stays moist for days and is effortless to make. Made in eight ounce ramekins, these timeless cakes when flipped over after baking, make an impressive presentation of glistening caramelized fruit over a fluffy cake. It became popular after an early 20th-century Dole engineer invented a machine that would slice that company's signature product — pineapple — into perfect rings; the first recipe appeared in print in 1923. The Daily Meal has a fascinating read on the origin of this cake. And here's a fun fact. I'll bet you didn't know April 20th is National Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day. Now you do! Be sure to check out these other fruit based recipes: Blueberry Lemon Pizza in a Brioche Crust, Sunnyside Up Apricot Pastries, Roasted Peaches with Amaretti Crisp, Pina Colada Cake, and Easy Pina Colada No Bake Cheese Cake. Why you want to make this recipe It's a classic cake which is simple to make and yields great results. Individual desserts are a great way to say "you are special". Uses simple ingredients that are probably in your pantry. Easy to make yet delicious and beautiful. Simply put, it tastes incredible. The brown sugar and butter caramelize the pineapple. Variations Different fruits can be substituted. Canned apricots, fresh plums pitted and sliced in half, sliced apples, and fresh peaches are a few. Sprinkle pecans or coconut over the butter before adding the brown sugar. For a spiced version, add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg to the cake batter. Fresh pineapple slices can be used. Blot dry also. Recipe Ingredients Pineapple Ingredients FRONT ROW: Unsalted butter, maraschino cherries BACK ROW: Canned Pineapple Slices, light brown sugar Pineapple Ingredients FRONT ROW: Unsalted Butter, maraschino cherries BACK ROW: Pineapple Slices, brown sugar Yellow Cake Ingredients FRONT ROW: Vanilla extract, almond extract MIDDLE ROW: Unsalted butter, egg yolks, baking powder BACK ROW: Granulated sugar, cake flour, milk Be sure to see the recipe card below for the exact ingredients an instructions. Step by Step Instructions Step 1. Place the pineapple slices on several layers of paper towels. Step 2. Place several more paper towels on top of the pineapple slices. Press firmly to remove as much liquid as possible. Replace the paper towels and repeat to make sure they are dry. Step 3. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter to each ramekin. Brush it up the sides of the ramekins. Step 4. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons brown sugar over the butter. If using nuts or coconut, sprinkle it over he butter first, then add the brown sugar. Step 5. Place the pineapple over the brown sugar, Step 6. Add a cherry in the hole of the pineapple. Step 7. Combine part of the milk, the vanilla and almond extracts and egg yolks in a small bowl. Step 8. Whisk together the liquids and set aside. Step 9. Place the dry ingredients in the bowl of a mixer. Step 10. Mix them together for about 30 seconds. Step 11. Add the softened butter and remaining milk and mix according to instructions to form a batter. Step 12. Add half of the liquid to the batter. Step 13. Mix the batter for 30 seconds. Step 14. Add the last of the liquid. Step 15. Mix another 30 seconds. Step 16. Pour the batter over the pineapple in the ramekins. Step 17. Bake the cakes as instructed. Step 18. To release the cakes, place a small plate over the top of the ramekin. Step 19. Flip the plate so the ramekin is now upside down on the plate. Step 20. Pull the ramekin up and away from the cake. Use a pancake turner to transfer the still hot cake to a cooling rack.
RECIPES FAQs Why is my pineapple upside down cake soggy? The pineapple needs to be throughly blotted dry or the moisture from the wet pineapple can seep into the cake batter changing the texture and making it wet. How do I keep the pineapple and the cake from sticking to the pan? Butter the ramekins all the way up to the top very well. A non-stick baking spray also works very well. Spray the entire container well before adding the melted butter. Release within 5 to 10 minutes. How long does a pineapple upside down cake last? It will last 2 days, covered, at room temperature or 4 days in the refrigerator. Storage Instructions These mini pineapple upside down cakes are best served warm or at room temperature on the day they are made. They can be made that day and kept at room temperature covered with foil after they cool. To warm, place them, still covered in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes. Store any leftovers at room temperature for a few days. Expert Tips Be sure to blot the pineapple and cherry very dry or the extra moisture will seep into the cake while baking altering the baked cake texture. Change the paper towels as necessary. Don't press so hard you split the pineapple ring. Brush the butter all the way to the top of the ramekins so the cakes release easily and completely. Either whole or 2% milk can be used in the cake. These are made in 6 eight ounce ramekins with straight sides. The butter for the cake needs to be very soft but not melted or runny. It should be about 74°F. The ramekins will be hot but they need to be removed within 5 to 10 minutes of coming from the oven. Start at 5 minutes. I fold a kitchen towel and place it over the ramekin to remove it. See photos above. Transfer the hot cake to a cooling rack with a pancake turner to finish cooling. If you want a garnish, serve with rum whipped cream or better yet, Malibu rum which is coconut flavored and delicious. Just add a tablespoon of rum to a cup of heavy cream and a quarter cup of powdered sugar. Whip until fairly stiff. More individual desserts to enjoy If you love these Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cakes, It would be hugely helpful and so appreciated it if you would take a moment to leave a star rating below. Thank you. Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cakes  Fruity, gooey, and caramelly these Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cakes are one of America's favorites.  The two step yellow cake is tender, featherlight, stays moist for days and is effortless to make and topped with a caramelized pineapple slice and cherry.  Eight ounce ramekins (225 grams) Pineapple and Brown Sugar9 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (135 grams)3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed (150 grams)Featherlight Yellow Cake2 large egg yolks1/2 cup milk3/4 teaspoon almond extract1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 1/4 cups cake flour (150 grams)3/4 cup granulated sugar (150 grams)2 teaspoons baking powder6 tablespoons butter, softened Pineapple and Brown SugarPreheat the oven to 350°F. Place the pineapple slices between several layers of paper towels. Press down to blot dry. Change the paper until the pineapple is dry. Blot the cherries lightly so as not to destroy their shape.Place 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter in each ramekin. Brush it up the sides of the ramekins making sure to cover the sides well.Add 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar to each ramekin. Top with a pineapple slice and cherry in the hole of the pineapple. Set aside.Featherlight Yellow CakeMake sure the butter is very soft. It shouldn't be runny or melty but about 73°F.In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, 2 tablespoons milk, almond, and vanilla extracts. Set aside.Place the dry ingredients in the bowl of a mixer. Mix on low for 30 seconds to blend. Add the butter and remaining milk. Mix on low speed just to moisten the dry ingredients. Increase the speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes.Add half of the egg mixture and beat for about 30 seconds. Repeat with the other half.
Add about 1/2 cup batter to each of the ramekins. Spread flat.Bake for 28 to 33 minutes until golden brown and a tester comes out clean. When you test make sure to skewer only the cake. Do not go to the bottom of the ramekin.Cool 5 to 10 minutes and release the cakes.Place a small flat dish on top of the ramekin. Flip it over and carefully remove the hot ramekin. I used a folded kitchen towel over the ramekin to remove it.Remove the cake from the dish with a pancake turner and place it on a cooling rack.Serve it warm or at room temperature. There is always an abundance of photos to guide you in the post. As always, I recommend using a scale for accuracy and consistency.  Flour, in particular, is difficult to measure by volume.  For my recipes, I use 140 grams per cup of unsifted  all-purpose, bread or whole wheat flour and 125 grams of cake flour. Others may use different weights so use whatever is given in their recipes. ***************************************************** Be sure to blot the pineapple very dry or the extra moisture will seep into the cake while baking altering the baked cake texture and possibly making it wet. Change the paper towels as necessary. Don't press so hard you split the pineapple ring.  Brush the butter all the way to the top of the ramekins so the cakes release easily and completely.  Alternatively, use a non-stick baking spray and spray well.   Either whole or 2% milk can be used in the cake.  These are made in 6 - 8 ounce ramekins with straight sides. If you want a garnish, serve with rum whipped cream or better yet, Malibu rum which is coconut flavored and delicious. Just add a tablespoon of rum to a cup of heavy cream and a quarter cup of powdered sugar. Whip until soft peaks form.  Different fruits can be substituted. Canned apricots, fresh plums pitted and sliced in half, sliced apples, and fresh peaches are a few. Sprinkle pecans or coconut over the butter before adding the brown sugar if desired. For a spiced version, add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg to the cake batter.  Fresh pineapple slices can be used.  Blot it as for canned pineapple.   Individual cakeAmericaneasy to make, Mini Pineapple upside down cakes, pineapple upside down cake

Minneapolis's top restaurants
Minneapolis has many excellent restaurants, including Hola Arepa, The Aster Cafe, and the World Street Kitchen. It isn't easy to pick one of these as the finest among these terrific places to eat because they are all great. But we've made things simpler for you by compiling a list of nearby top restaurants. The eateries that are most well-liked by both locals and visitors are listed.
The bakery Hen House Eatery serves breakfast and lunch. Carryout and delivery options are available at this brunch restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. They also boast some of the state's best-baked foods. In addition, they plan to grow by opening two private dining rooms soon. The drink menu at Hen House is remarkable. It should be no surprise that they offer a drink containing red bull, given the location. Along with drinks, they provide a big selection of beers.
One of Minneapolis' top restaurants might be worth a look if you're looking for a new spot to eat. One of these fantastic locations is World Street Kitchen. It provides somewhat spicy foreign cuisine. Many different international street foods are offered at this Uptown restaurant. The menu features a "Bangkok Burrito" and a bowl of "Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs." They also provide certain dishes that are more commonplace, including fried chicken sandwiches.
Both the meal and the setting are appealing. The many sushi and ramen options here are worth checking out. However, if you're looking for something a little heartier, you can also sample their soba salad and Japanese curry.
A popular Minneapolis eatery, Pizzeria Lola, is known for its handcrafted, wood-fired pies and inventive mashups of classic and Asian-inspired toppings. It is a well-liked local favorite owned and operated by Korean immigrant Ann Kim. Various pies are available at Lola, including the Sunnyside, a white pizza with arugula and mozzarella, and the Lady Zaza, a Korean-style pie with homemade kimchi. In addition, salads, starters, and desserts are available.
A well-known lakeside restaurant is Lord Fletcher's Restaurant in Minnesota. Despite being open all year round, the restaurant is busiest in the spring and summer. They provide various services in addition to meals, such as valet parking, an on-site gift shop, and a beautiful outdoor dining area. This restaurant might be the one for you if you're seeking a supper spot suitable for families.
Aster Cafe is a nice dining establishment with an attractive patio and an unexpectedly expansive menu. If you like cuisine and drinks, it's one of the top restaurants in Minnesota. The restaurant features live music many evenings a week and have indoor and outdoor seating.
The cafe's bar is fully stocked with a variety of beer, wine, and cocktails. Their menu offers everything from chicken pot pie to truffle fries, and you must sample their famous tea-infused cocktails. Additionally, they offer a diverse selection of coffees.
The best eateries in Minneapolis can be found at Spoon and Stable. The restaurant, which a James Beard Award winner owns, has become a mainstay in the community. It offers a large selection of thoughtfully designed yet informal menu items. Additionally, the restaurant offers top-notch wines and delectable beverages.

“ The guy may seem plush and huggable on the outside, but inside, he's a monster.” ― Buttercup describing Lotso to WoodyĪt first, Lotso seemed like a caring, welcoming, friendly individual, and possessed all of the good qualities of the typical soft teddy bear character. Spot clean plush surface with a damp cloth." Personality This lovable bear stands fuzzy heads and shoulders above other teddy bears because he smells like sweet strawberries! With a smile that will light up your child's face and a belly just asking to be hugged, Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear is sure to become a bedtime necessity. Official Description "Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear is a jumbo, extra-soft teddy bear with a pink and white plush body and a velvety purple nose. He was found by Bonnie Anderson, who found him and took him home. Chuckles had no part of Lotso's rule, and one day he was broken. The three hitched a ride on a Pizza Planet delivery truck's rear bumper until the truck hit a bump in the road, knocking them off in front of Sunnyside Daycare, where Lotso took over and turned it into a prison for toys, with Big Baby as his enforcer. Chuckles tried to explain that Daisy only replaced him because she missed him so much, but Lotso refused to listen. He allowed his negative feelings to consume him, and he forcibly ordered Chuckles and Big Baby to leave Daisy and follow him, telling them Daisy replaced them all and she no longer cares for them. Refusing to give up, Lotso, followed by Chuckles and Big Baby, headed off into the wilderness and finally returned to Daisy's house, only to discover that Daisy had acquired another Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear toy, leaving Lotso greatly heartbroken. The three waited for a long time, but Daisy never returned for them. After lunch, Daisy fell asleep and her parents took her back into the car, accidentally leaving the toys behind. However, there was a time when Daisy took Lotso and her two other toys, a baby doll named Big Baby, and a clown named Chuckles, out for a drive with her parents and stopped at a rest stop for a little bit of playtime. Lotso seemed to have enjoyed every moment of the time spent at Daisy's house. Lotso started his life as a Christmas present for a little girl named Daisy and instantly became her favorite toy. Lotso unwrapped as a Christmas present for Daisy.

Summary: Sweet Pea/Reader Request: reader was sexually assaulted by a friend of hers, & she distances herself from the friends, because they tell her that she’s lying & she opens up to sweet pea, maybe he comforts her? I just could use some comfort even in the form of sweet pea TW: Sexual Assault, Gaslighting, Verbal Abuse, Abusive Relationships/Friendships -Thoughts-  ~flashback~
You’re not sure what you were expecting when you’d gathered your friends at your usual hang out spot. You no longer shook at his presence but you weren’t expecting him to show up. Still you’d told them you had something important to say; with him there, his hand around your best friends waist had you shutting down. “Y/N, come onnnnnn you drag us all out here in the middle of the night for what? Is it about what happened at that party again? You know  Lance didn’t actually do anything, it was a dream is all.” -They were friends with him first, why would they believe you. Of course you were lying.- “I’m moving.” You shrug a little; not surprised when their faces don’t crumble. You’d barely been spending time with them after the party, after the incident as they’d called it. “When?” Lance tilts his head leering at you as he always seems to do now. “Three days.” “Where?” You shake your head.
“Close by apparently, job transfers and all.” You nod, they understand two of then had moved to the other side of town because of their parents getting job transfers. –Might as well lie about this, they think you’re lying about everything- Your parents hadn’t had any problem buying the trailer for you. They seemed relieved, being able to send you out of town to get away from your nightmares, your whining, -your lies- You’d discussed it with them, and they’d given you an ultimatum when you’d come home.
~~~You’re trying to sneak through your back window, of course your parents are awake, and of course Lance had called them saying how drunk you were, how high you’d gotten at the party. They don’t bother asking what happened, launching into a tirade about how irresponsible you are, how childish and immature. How you’re destroying any chance of a future for yourself. Your father spouts off about expecting you to end up knocked up from one of ‘these parties’. Your mother take a gentler approach compared to him. “How about this, there’s a nice covenant in Riverdale and-“ “I’ll go, but not to the sisters.” Your mother’s surprised at your agreement, your father beams. “We can get you one of those trailers, in that trailer park, we’ll pay for it, just keep your grades up. Three days to pack what you want.” He leaves after that, your mother does as well, you can hear them moving in their room and as you walk upstairs, head swimming and heart racing you catch yourself in the mirror. –Doesn’t even look like anything happened, just that you fell, you really did just get drunk and dreamed the whole thing up- You wake up the next morning, looking back in the mirror, you can’t help but cry, you’re shaking and dry heaving occasionally looking back into the mirror to catalogue the bruises and imprints he left against your skin. You decide about telling your friend, grabbing your first box and starting to pack your books.~~~
It’d taken you four days to move everything over and settle yourself in the trailer your parents had gotten; it’s in the back of the lot, barely still in the trailer park. You avoid any of your neighbors, trying your best to not panic as you make your way towards Riverdale High. You’re keeping your eyes on the floor. –They’re looking at you cause they know what you’ve done. You’re that liar that got thrown out from Centerville.- You cringe at your internal monologue, trying your best to shake it off, freezing when you crash into someone. “ You okay?” You look up, brushing yourself off and nodding, not looking at whomever you bummed into. “Sorry I didn’t mean to.”
“It’s no problem, where are you trying to find?” You look up into the boy’s face, hoping you’re not blushing, or if you are you can brush it off as the embarrassment from the fall. “Math, with-“ His hand nudges the schedule and you offer it to him. “Huh, you have almost all your classes with me, I can walk you to most of them, the only class you don’t have is science, but you have that with Fangs so-“ “Fangs?” You question and he beams. “My friend Fangs, I’m Sweet Pea, you are?” He holds his hand you for you to shake, handing you back your schedule. “Y/N.” “Did you just move here?”
“Yes, from Centerville.” “Centerville, Jesus, you glad you got out?” He whistles slightly and you sag in relief. “Yes, it was awful.” You relax, comforted by his similar reaction. “I can’t imagine, actually I don’t want to. Is it true that half of the main school have been in the corrections center?” “No, that would mean they got caught.” You offer a wry smile and Sweet Pea smiles back. “Well then, let’s hope none of them follow you here.” You laugh nervously nodding.
You’re thankful that Sweet Pea seems to keep you in his sights. It not hard considering you share all your classes so far. “So we can eat lunch with my friends if you want?” “Sure, sounds good.” –Don’t freak out. They’re not like yours were.- You follow Sweet Pea outside, toward a table with a group of guys in black leather; they’re joined by another group. You watch as they turn nodding to Sweet Pea. “Alright introductions then, everyone, this is Y/N. She moved from Centerville a few days ago.” You wave and the entire group at you.
“This is Toni and Cheryl, Cheryl’s Captain of the River Vixen’s, which feature, Veronica, Josie, and Betty; Betty’s dating Jughead, who’s leader of the Serpents, which includes Toni, Fangs, and me.” He gestures to each person as he names them. You wave to each of them and they wave back. “Is it a dumb question to ask what the Serpent’s are?” You’d heard whispers of them in Centerville but the rumors varied from an after school club to a prison run gang. “We’re a gang.” Fangs states and you nod, relieved at the open answer.
Sweet Pea had been the one to invite you to his trailer, you were nervous, but followed him in surprised when no one else was in. “You live alone?” “Yeah, it’s just easier, my parent’s have their own place I just wanted to stay.” He nods to the couch and you sit down watching him as he moves around his home. “Out of curiosity why did you move here of all places? Can’t have been for the ‘pep’ can it?” –Lie- “I uh, my parents were going to send me to the Sisters and-“You cringe at his frown. “Why?” -Lie to him. Lie to him.- “They thought it would be better for me.” –They didn’t want to deal with you; they were tired of the lies. Like your friends, like Sweet Pea will become.-
“Better how? Or is that one of those, not allowed to talk about it.” You shrug. “I just; I made some bad choices, got on the wrong track.” He drops the thread of the conversation instead asking how you’re finding Riverdale and how you feel about living in Sunnyside. He talks about himself telling you about chaining himself to his old school, and protesting about Riverdale trying to get rid of the Serpents.
It’s not long before Cheryl decides to throw a party for some reason or other, everyone is excited and you hope the terror you feel can be interpreted as the same. You arrive with the Serpent’s, specifically Sweet Pea, he’d insisted it was easier for everyone to carpool, and he had an extra helmet for his bike so it wouldn’t be a problem for you to ride with him. “Come on Y/N Cheryl’s parties get crazy it’ll be-“ Whatever he’s saying fades out, as you step forward.
~~~ “Seriously Y/N, it’ll be fine! No one will care you weren’t invited. Seriously just come in and have some fun!!” You offer a strained smile as you follow your friends stepping through the door to hear music blasting. You’re moving around the main room, cringing at the sound, you can’t hear your own thoughts, let alone anyone saying anything so when Lance appears holding out drinks for everyone, you think nothing of taking it. Everyone else is drinking why shouldn’t you.~~~
Sweet Pea holds something out to you and you recognize it as a water bottle. –Don’t take drinks from anyone, always watch your drink- You hesitate, but take it anyways, surprised when it’s sealed as you open it. “Come on everyone’s this way.” Sweet Pea herds you further in and you wait for his hand you touch your shoulder, to steer you where he wants you. –Upstairs to the bedrooms, god knows this place must have extra rooms no one will check in- He walks with you, hand hovering behind your back as you turn past the stairs and back through the kitchen to the backyard. You stare fearfully at the pool for a moment, stepping back, bumping into Sweet Pea’s arm.
“You okay?” –Lie.- “Fine.” You take a swig from the water bottle and notice how everyone’s gathered in a circle eating pizza. “Hey you two made it! Sorry about the secrecy Y/N, we usually do an inner circle party once a month!” Cheryl nods to you and you tilt your head. “Inner circle?”
“Yeah we’re all really close, we went through a lot together, you’re part of that now.” -They know, they know, they know.- “So, as usual Sins and Secrets time!! It’ll be interesting now since we have Y/N to confess to, and we get to hear her deepest secrets.” Toni laughs as Fangs explains the rules; Sweet Pea sits next to you. “Cheryl can go first to show you. Since it’s her party.” Toni nods. “I slapped Jughead when I thought his dad killed my brother.” You turn to the rest of them and they shrug. “That’s not that dark Cheryl..”
“I don’t want to scare her off. Come on Y/N confess.” –Lie, Lie Lie, if you tell the truth they’ll never talk to you again. You don’t have anywhere left to run, lie, lie lie.- “ I uh, I moved from Centerville because- I just-“ You swallow; you don’t realize someone’s arm is around you until they’ll pulling you closer. “Hey it’s okay, you don’t have to say anything.” You shake your head. “No you guys should know I’m a liar, get over with the realization you don’t want to be friends with me.” You swallow, shaking still as you look around at everyone.
“I left Centerville cause I lied about a lot of stuff, happening to me.” You can see Cheryl frowning, as do Veronica and Betty. “You lied about being sexually assaulted?” they guess and you nod, still shaking. “Why would you lie about that?” They sound upset, angry even. –You did it now, they’re going to hate you, might as well spill all of it.- “Well I mean we were dating so it’s not like it counted cause we were dating and even then I didn’t say no or anything I didn’t even try to leave.” –You tried to run he just was too fast, he didn’t want you to move, he gave you too much to drink, it wasn’t drugs they flushed out of your system too fast to be tested anyways.- “My, his friends agreed with him, it makes sense, I was just wanting attention cause he broke up with me, it wasn’t anything serious either way we just-“ You fade off watching everyone staring at you.
“Sorry, I just, I can leave it’s no problem for me to-“ “Fucking hell I can see why you left Centerville, full of rapists and people who look the other way.” You freeze. “What?” –No you’re supposed to hate me, I lied, I lied.- “That must have been horrible, I’m so sorry that happened to you.” “No, but it didn’t like everyone said I was just making it up, it wasn’t real so-“ –They’re angry for you. They want to hurt him as much as you do.- You quiet as they all seem to crowd you in comfort, Betty and Cheryl taking your hands and Toni awkwardly hugging you as Veronica nudges Sweet Pea away, you turn gripping for what you now know was his arm.
You’re not one hundred percent sure what the look they share is, but it flashes across all their faces and Sweet Pea offers to take you home moments later, you nervously grab a slice of pizza eating it as he leads you back out of the house and to his bike. “Hey, listen Y/N, I’m sorry all that happened to you.” You shrug. “I’m sure there’s been worse.” Sweet Pea sighs kicking the ground. “Just because there’s been worse doesn’t make what you went through okay.” You nod to him and he pulls you into a hug as he holds the helmet out to you.
You swing your leg over getting off as he pulls up to his trailer. “Sweet Pea, I, I didn’t tell them everything.” “Hey it’s okay, you don’t have to. It’s your choice to talk about it. “I, can I tell you?” He nods opening his door and sighing as you sit on the couch. He sits next you and you burrow under the blanket and into his side. He chuckles slightly and you smile up at him. “I’m here, you can tell me whatever you want.” You nod closing your eyes.
~Lance had brought you upstairs before leaving you to sit in the room for what felt like hours. You’d been confused, sluggish to respond when you’d felt the zip tie sliding against your wrist. “So you don’t run off and say anything.” His voice is distorted and you sit, sliding against the side of the bed trying to snap the tie off the post. You manage to dig it into your skin enough where you know it’ll leave a scar. Your knees are also bruised a product of trying to pull yourself free, using your own body as a counter weight. Lance returns laughing at you. His voice is echoing and you don’t realize its because he’s not alone. When he shoves you, jerking the tie back against your wrist and almost throwing you onto the bed is when you fall back into unconsciousness, whatever sedative combining with the drinks to knock you out.~
“What’s his last name?” Sweet Pea growls out and you shake your head. “Sweet Pea, please don’t he’ll know it was me.” “He’s going to need to answer for that, one way or the other. Serpent’s protect their own.” “That extends to friends?” You ask surprised, unsure how the Serpent’s manage to protect so many people. “Relationships.” “We’re not in a relationship.” You state confused when Sweet Pea seems shocked. “Sorry right, still, he’s going to pay for that.” “There’s more.” You reach for the water bottle on the table and Sweet Pea pulls it to you, you place it back on the table after drinking from it, shifting away from him slightly. “Y/N, come back, you don’t need to move away from me; I don’t think less of you.” You sigh shakily.
“You don’t need to tell me right now, take a break sweetheart, come here, come here.” He slowly reaches for you and you fold into his arms, as he tucks the blanket around both of you, you curl into him shaking as you sob. “They thought I was lying, they said they knew him best, they said-“ “Shhh, shhh love, it’s alright, it’s over, it’s over. You’re safe now.” You don’t bother nodding just sighing and laying your head on his chest. “Thank you.” You say as you start to drift off.
When you wake up you haven’t moved. Sweet Pea hasn’t either and you watch him for a moment trying his best to stretch his arm to grab at his phone, you reason his other hand would be far closer but it’s currently wrapped around you, you nudge him with your forehead and he turns. “You can move your arm, if you want.” “No.” He states and you frown. “It’s literally easier for you to do it with this arm, just move it.” You tug at the arm wrapped around you and he just tightens his grip.
“Just let got of me and I’ll grab it for you if you want.” Sweet Pea shakes his head pulling you back to his chest as you half struggle to get up. This causes you both to tip off the couch, you’re waiting for your head to smack against the floor but you open your eyes to see Sweet Pea smirking at you, your head cushioned by his arm. ‘See that’s why I didn’t want to move it.” “So it could get crushed by my head?” “No so it could protect you.” “Oh that’s dumb. I’m not-“ You close your mouth as he glares.
“If you say you’re not worth protecting I’m never letting you go.” “I’m not worth protecting.” You smile shyly, face flushed. “Was that serious or do you just want to mess with me?” “It’s semi-serious.” You counter and Sweet Pea shakes his head moving back to the couch nodding at you to do the same. “Semi-serious meaning.” “I’d very much like you to not let me go, but that’s just my preference.” Sweet Pea nods thoughtfully. “Come on.”
“Where are we going?” “Pop’s, it’s good one of our preference’s lined up, but now we have to see if others do.” “Pop’s the diner right?” He nods and you swing your leg over on his bike. “Please don’t tell me you’re going to judge me on my order.” “No just pay for it.” He shouts of the roar of his engine.

Writing prompt: A funny marriage proposal
It’s a tradition they started exactly one year into their relationship, right on their anniversary.
Peter had surprised MJ with reservations to a five-star restaurant on Broadway, but after noticing her shift uncomfortably in the dimly lit room surrounded by Wall-Street creeps and elitist socialites, he improvised, quick on his feet to uncover a solution that would make MJ more comfortable: scamming the five star restaurant.
“Hey,” he whispered, leaning in. “Want dessert?”
MJ scrunched her eyes in curiosity, one eyebrow lifting. “Are you gonna take me to get gelato in the Village?”
“No, no…” he cracked his knuckles in an overexaggerated attitude. “Yes or no?”
She licked her lips. “Okay.”
“Follow my lead,” he said, “I’m getting us a free chocolate mousse.”
He grabbed her hands, holding them softly, scanning the room until a waiter comes by. Peter said, “I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
The waiter stops, a bottle of ‘92 Cabernet in his hand. MJ’s eyes were wide, but soft. Peter jumps from his seat, dropping on one knee to fake propose. “If you let me.”
Her smile almost made Peter forget the proposal wasn’t real until he heard MJ’s in a high-pitched tone saying, “A million times yes, Peter Parker!”
Not only did they receive their free chocolate mousse, but also two free glasses of Cabernet and a round of applause from the crowd.
--
“Peter, are you ready to go?” MJ shouts from the living room after coming home from work. “I’m thinking Sunnyside Pizza tonight.”
“Yeah!” he shouts, patting his pocket and feeling comfort in the box that will no longer be a secret. He walks out and greets her with a kiss on the cheek, “Rough day at work?”
She sighs, rubbing her temple. “We didn’t meet the print deadline, so Johnson is pissed. And then…” MJ opens her blazer and reveals a big stain of coffee on her shirt. Peter frowns, but kisses her again on her temple. “I don’t even wanna change. I just want greasy food. And maybe gelato.”
“Sounds like our usual Thursday night,” he chuckles, looping his arm around hers as they leave their apartment.
Peter’s thighs shake nervously, looking around the crowded restaurant as they wait for their pepperoni pizza to arrive. He sneaks glances at MJ, who’s scrolling on her phone with lips pursed, probably catching up on her favorite foodie blogs. Her eyebrows are scrunched, eyes focused and lips pursed.
She’s so beautiful.
“Look,” she shows her phone. “We should try this place next month for our anniversary. I wonder if their dessert is worth stealing.”
He agrees, holding in laughter from what he’s about to reveal. “Five years, huh?”
MJ tucks her phone in, eyes soft as she answers, “Yeah, five.”
“Well–” he sighs, his legs still shaking even more than they had when they first found a table in the packed pizza parlor. “Five years is… is 1825 days of–”
“Smart ass,” she quips, rolling her eyes playfully. He feels his ears getting warmer, the nerves coming from his gut and traveling to his mouth, no longer finding the right words.
“I’m just– you know. It’s a long time. And I noticed that every hour that I don’t see you, all I do is miss you. Like when you’re at work, all I want is for you to come home and tell me all about your day, good or bad.” He stops to force a breath. Maybe a pizza parlor with broken air conditioning isn’t the right place for this, but it’s MJ’s favorite place to eat.
When he looks at MJ, her eyes search for answers as to why he’s randomly being emotional, though he really does this once a week. “What’s up, Pete?”
“I love you,” he blurts out. Oh, God, he’s so nervous.
“I love you, too.”
He smiles, running his hands through his hair before he says again, “I love you, and I just. God, I’m rambling.”
“It’s okay. You always do.”
“I’m just gonna cut to the point.”
“Okay,” she laughs.
“If I don’t, then I’m going to forget everything I wanna say or I’m just going to say it all at once and you know how that turns out when–”
She grabs his hands from across the table. “This isn’t cutting to the point, Pete.”
He takes a deep breath and goes for it. “I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Her eyes go wide, scanning the room, too. “Pete, our anniversary’s in a month.”
“I know. Five years,” he smiles, “1825 days, 43800 hours–”
“I don’t think Sunnyside does freebies,” she says.
He nearly chokes on his own saliva before throwing his head back in a fit of laughter, his stomach more sore than a day of patrol.
MJ’s face is serious, almost concerned. “Why are you laughing?”
“I’m not scamming Sunnyside, Em.”
Her eyes go wide. “What?”
Peter searches for the box in his pocket and pulls it out, revealing May’s old engagement ring. “Marry me.”
“Oh my God,” she starts to laugh at herself, mirroring Peter from before. “Peter.”
“MJ,” tears of joy well up in the corner of his eyes from the way MJ blushes and smiles – the look that’s saved just for Peter.
Just as the waiter arrives, MJ offers her hand for Peter to slip the ring onto it as she answers, “Peter, yes you big dork.”
They get their pizza for free.
