If someone is trying incredibly hard to please me, I know something is wrong. That kind of desire doesn’t come naturally. I know something bad has happened to this person, and they need attention rather than people indulging in their sacrificing acts of servitude.
Nobody should be desperate and try to please anyone out of fear that they’ll be punished, or that they’ll be hated and despised if not useful and pleasing enough. That is a form of control with the threat of terror and pain hanging over a person’s head, their desire to please and be useful isn’t coming from their own sense of fulfillment, but out of fear that there’s no other alternative, no other way they’re allowed to exist.
I would prefer not to exist than to have someone live in fear of what’s going to happen to them unless they make my existence pleasurable for every second of my life. That is not humane, no person alive needs this kind of servitude. This is what abusive parents do to children to terrorize them into convenience and usefulness and it’s a form of torture. Nobody should be benefiting from that torture. Nobody should want that kind of thing to exist.

The first Palestinian athlete to participate in the Olympic games died on Wednesday at the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza as a result of kidney failure due to power outages and medical shortages as a result of the ongoing Israeli war and siege of the enclave.
Majed Abu Maraheel, who passed away at the age of 61, became the first athlete to be the flag bearer and represent Palestinians at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996. Being a distance runner, he competed in the 10km race.
Since his breakthrough on the world stage, more than 20 Palestinian men and women have been able to compete at Olympic competitions.
"He was a Palestinian icon, and he will remain as such," his brother told Paltoday TV after the funeral.
"We tried to evacuate him to Egypt but then the Rafah crossing was closed (by Israel), and his condition kept deteriorating."
In his preparation for the Olympics, Abu Maraheel would often be seen on his daily runs from his home in Gaza to the Erez Crossing with Israel, which Israel closed in October after imposing a full blockade on the Strip.
Last month, it was reopened for the first time since then.
He would often have to pass through that crossing for his job as a day labourer in Israel. After participating in the Olympics, Abu Maraheel went on to become a coach for other Palestinian runners hoping to replicate his presence at the international competition.
Abu Maraheel's death highlights the grim fate of many Palestinians who are facing kidney failure in Gaza.
A report from the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor in March found that there were between 1,000 to 1,500 patients in Gaza with kidney failure, and that they are facing a "slow death" because of "a lack of medical and therapeutic services, medications and other necessities".
Israel denies blocking humanitarian aid into Gaza, though aid agencies say they are not able to get aid in because of Israeli restrictions.

I seriously want to know why they took her body. I also want to know (and pardon how ghoulish this is) if she still has all her organs, given the reports of bodies being desecrated and harvested.
There is no justice in this world, my days, she was just a little girl.

Instead of getting ready for Eid festivities like they used to every year, my friend Bilal's family are still living in a makeshift tent in this sweltering heat, striving to secure the inadequate amount of food and water they can hardly come by. Since October, Israel has imposed a tight siege on Gaza, severely limiting the flow of life-saving essential food and medical items. Now, with the seizure of the Rafah crossing border which has been closed since May 7, the situation is worse than ever. Vital goods are scarce in the markets, and when they are available they're sold at exorbitant prices.
Bilal's family had to leave Rafah and go to Khan Yunis again to escape the recent massacres. It is now harder for them to provide basic needs for themselves and the children including the three newborns. The little water they manage to obtain with great difficulty is often polluted and salty. It's not even suitable for cooking regular meals for adults, let alone prepare baby bottles for three newborns if ever formula is accessible.
Every single day is a struggle for survival for Bilal's family. Their lives are constantly threatened by acute malnutrition, infectious diseases, and indiscriminate bombing. Your support has truly made a difference, but it is now needed more urgently, as the situation is getting more dire.
Please help Bilal keep them as safe as possible until the border reopens and they are hopefully able to evacuate.
It would mean the world to them if you donated or reblogged.

Abusive parents will look you in the eye and say ‘I should have beaten you worse when you were a kid’, and then still pretend they’re good damn parents! They will actively wish that they traumatized you worse, in your face, as if that’s not the most terrifying, hateful, vile and disgusting thing to say to someone, and still pretend they had any kind of good intentions towards you as a child! They’re expressing literal regret that you’re not smaller and more vulnerable again so they could brutalize you into terror, injure you into obedience! As if they didn’t already do that, as if you’re not already at the end of your wits just trying to cope with that hatred and violence! They’re regretting that their trauma conditioning didn’t grant them more power and control over you! That they could still force their way and erase your will and humanity and reason by hurting the child-like, younger and infinitely more vulnerable version of you! Who wouldn’t be able to fight back or understand what is going on! That’s what they’re saying! That’s fucking terrifying! Evil! Predatory! Despicable!
I truly believe whoever says this to a child should not exist anymore. No child or adult deserves to know someone would want to inflict this kind of harm onto them. Nobody deserves to know that a family member, a caretaker, a parent, someone they once did, or still do, love, would want to hurt them in the worst way possible.

For the humans that still have a heart, humans are burning and children are being beheaded from airstrikes in a sea of burning tents in Rafah. 40 fake beheaded babies got more sympathy and care then real Palestinian babies who have been beheaded for the past 8 months from brutual airstrikes. No words left.
