no farewell TBB piece by me for now, but looking back at my old Bad Batch art makes me nostalgic. it’s the reason I went back to creating art in the first place. So thank you for all the memories, to my silly bald sniper muse, to crew and anyone who supported me through my art journey.
Hopefully my art block will be over soon so I can draw a proper goodbye to the show.
Love 💙

"I may process moments and thoughts differently, but it does not mean that I feel any less than you." This episode was so, so special to me for that moment alone. ;u; Thank you, TBB crew!

Room for More
TBB x fem!reader (platonic)
Fandom: Star Wars: The Bad Batch
Summary: A Jedi padawan of Master Plo Koon, you'd been on the run since Order 66 was executed after the Wolfpack betrayed your master. Mostly hiding out in Ord Mantell, you soon encountered Clone Force 99. After helping out with some of their missions for Cid (and always hanging out with Omega), the Batch welcomed you under their wing. However, you don't talk to them that much if it isn't mission-related. A certain mishap may change that.
Warnings: mentions of death, minor angst, metions of Order 66, mentions and description of vomit and GERD (PLS DO NOT READ IF THAT BOTHERS YOU)
A/N: Not proofread or edited. Reader should be around 20 years old. Also, reader's experience with GERD is based on my experience with it (I'm no medical professional so disclaimer!!)
The journey on the way back to Ord Mantell is not always vibrant, but this time, it is. Blue streaks decorate the blackness of space as the Havoc Marauder travels back to Ord Mantell. The energy in the ship is unusually jolly after a mission; you could feel everyone's energy.
Cid's client this time was a sheriff. He hired you and the Batch to act as temporary bodyguards to drive away mercenaries from his town on a tropical planet. While you were there, you and the Batch befriended the local villagers. As a thank you gift, they gave you tons of food—enough for a real meal for the five of you—for the journey back to Cid's.
It seems they packed you some sort of noodles. It's incredibly saucy—almost a vibrant red—not that you mind. The smell is delicious, mild enough for Hunter to enjoy it properly, but enough that you can smell the blend of several different spices. Chopped out pieces of vegetables and meat are mixed into it, as well.
You sit on your bunk, quietly observing the Batch as you heartily eat the noodles. Wrecker, who practically wolfed down his big portion of the food, is now playing dejarik with Omega, who is multitasking between eating dinner and playing the game. The girl giggles as she continues to beat the gentle giant.
Tech and Echo are both seated by the ship's console. You could sense that they're relaxed and satisfied, as opposed to their usual tired state after a mission. They both eat the food while chatting with each other, a smile on each of their faces.
Your glance finally lands on Sergeant Hunter. With his food in hand, he leans on the wall as he watches over his crew. Looking at him, you can feel warmth radiate through your body, and you know that feeling to be Hunter's; it's just the Force's way of telling you how happy he is for the time being.
You smile to yourself, it's not every time that the Batch could enjoy like this. Your heart feels light just by watching them. They reminded you of the Wolfpack.
Oh.
Your heart turns heavy. You're quite past being angry with them: about turning their backs against the Jedi Order; about betraying the cause they fought for; and about killing Master Plo.
No. You just miss them. You miss how things were. You miss the warmth they brought with their presence. You crave for Master Plo's fatherly advice and care. You want to feel Wolffe's comforting hug after a failed campaign. You want to hear Sinker's and Boost's corny jokes that would distract you from the horrors of the war.
You just want them back—just like the old times.
Breaking out of your thoughts, you feel a lingering sensation. Looking up, you find Hunter looking at you with worry. It still surprises you, that after months of being with them, you still can't quite figure out how his enhanced senses work.
Regardless, you send him your signature tight-lipped smile. That awkward smile that graced your features upon your introduction to your new master. The one you gave the 104th battalion at your first campaign as their Commander. The one—
You huff, internally berating yourself for going there again. You really should control your thoughts better.
You quickly finish your food, before properly disposing of the container and utensils. Quickly, you head to the fresher to brush your teeth. Once you're done, you feel something in your stomach, as if you're still hungry, as if something is bubbling inside. You ignore it, just wanting to sleep so that your mind won't be plagued by unwanted thoughts. It's hard at night, the dark thoughts always seem to get worse then.
Heading to your bunk, you collapse on it; everything you and the Batch did the past few days finally catching up to you as your adrenaline drops. It doesn't take long before you're curled up on your bunk, asleep.
You don't even know how long it's been, but suddenly you sit upright and swing your legs over your bunk. Without thinking, you walk briskly to the fresher, slamming the door shut before hunching over the toilet and immediately expelling your dinner.
You groan, slumping down on the fresher floor. You could feel something bubbling in your stomach again, forcing it's way up, along with a strong pinch in your abdomen. The aftermath of your vomit tastes like dinner and something sour.
Just then, a knock is heard. "Are you okay?" Hunter's gruff but calming voice calls out.
Shakily, you stand and flush the toilet before washing your hands.
"Yeah, I'm fine," you reply calmly, masking the pain that you're feeling.
Hunter suddenly opens the fresher door, making you jump. He looks at you worriedly.
"I can hear your stomach, doesn't sound good."
You walk past him into the direction of your bunk. You feel Echo's and Tech's eyes on you as well, but you just want to go back to sleep.
"I think I just ate too fast. Don't worry about it," you mumble tiredly as you resume your slumber.
Echo, Tech, and Hunter all look at your sleeping form but decided that perhaps it's best you get some rest.
The peace continues for around half an hour. You wake up again, hurriedly walking to the bathroom. You don't even notice the worried glance Tech gives, or even the fresher door that you left open before throwing up in the toilet again.
You groan, slumping on the fresher floor.
Someone pulls you up gently by your arm.
"It's alright, I got you," you hear Hunter say as you see Tech flushing the toilet.
You sigh as he brings you back to your bunk, laying you down on it.
"Sorry, Hunter. Did I wake you?" You ask.
He just chuckles. "Yeah, but don't worry. How're you feeling?"
You slump back on my pillows. "Tired."
Just then, Tech suddenly appears, typing away at his datapad. He looks at you before talking.
"It seems that the contents that you expelled included acid, aside from the food you ate for dinner," he then looks at Hunter, "you said you could hear her stomach?"
"Yeah, it sounded like something was bubbling upwards."
Tech nods, seemingly satisfied. "Figured as much," comes his robotic-like voice. He looks at you again, with one eyebrow raised. "I had a theory, so I looked for your medical files from the GAR. You have gastroesopheagal reflux disease. It is most likely that the noodles that we ate triggered it."
"Yeah, kinda figured that out after I threw up the first time," you mumble. You bring the blankets up to your chin, wishing that you could disappear from their scrutinizing gaze.
"I've also checked our medpacks—we do not have any antacid at hand. We'd have to wait till we arrive at Ord Mantell to restock."
Hunter frowns. "Do you need anything?" He asks you.
Your gaze lingers a bit longer on him than you would've liked. His eyebrow are arched upwards, causing lines to appear on his forehead. While crouched, you could still tell that his torso is slightly leaning forwards towards you. He keeps one hand on your bunk, too. For a brief moment, you see a man with a GAR-standard haircut, a cybernetic eye, a scar over it, and white and grey armor. But it's as if your vision shifts, and you see the man with long hair, face tattoo, a red bandana, and colorful armor.
"No, nothing. I'm fine," you reply dryly.
"No, you are not," Tech bluntly points out.
"I'll sleep it off," you mumble, rolling over to your side as your eyes begin to droop once again from exhaustion.
Hunter and Tech both sigh as you quite literally turn your backs on them. At this point, they're quite used to you being closed off, but this is the first time they've seen how you're like when your sick. You're more distant than you usually are.
After some time you feel the familiar pinch in your stomach and your labored breathing. The acid quickly rises in you, and it feels as if it were knawing through its pathway.
You quickly turn to the other side of your bunk in hopes to reach the fresher again. Instead, your eyes meet a metal bucket beside your bunk. Unable to hold everything in, you expel the acid in the bucket.
You cry out in pain; the muscles of your abdoment working overtime to push the acid out of you. Your hair drapes around your face as you throw up, getting in the way of the vomit that not only comes out of your mouth, but also some through the nose.
You vaguely feel a hand gathering your hair and holding it away from your face, and another hand gently rubbing your back.
"Hey, it's okay. I got you," it says soothingly.
Warm tears stream down from your eyes, to your cheeks, and pour down to the bucket.
You lie back down, breathing heavily. The bitter-sour aftertaste of the acid makes you cringe. Your eyelids flutter heavily, and you drift in and out of sleep. You don't even notice that Hunter disappeared until you hear the fresher door open and the bucket being settled down beside your bunk again.
"I could've done that myself," You mutter tiredly.
Hunter crosses his arms over his chest, a big frown on his face. "No, you need to rest. Let me help you."
"It's my problem. I'm the one who's sick."
"Uh-huh," Hunter grunts, looking very unimpressed. "C'mon, ad'ika. Let me help."
Ad'ika.
As he says that, you could hear Wolffe's voice. Your eyes dart around the room, trying to find him. But the only other person you see is a concerned Hunter looking down at you.
Logically, you knew you needed someone to help you with the bucket, and other things that may come up. Your heart clenches at how you wished it was Wolffe, or Boost, or Sinker, or Comet, or Master Plo. But deep inside you, you know that if you try to do this all by yourself, you may end up vomiting on the floor or elsewhere where you shouldn't be. You wouldn't want that.
"Fine," you concede. Your voice no longer holding the fight it had previously.
Hunter flashes you a faint smile as he leaves. Your head lolls on the pillow as your eyelids close on their own and your mind becomes blank.
You wake up once again to someone tapping your shoulder. In your hazy vision, you see Hunter holding out a bottle of water to you. Sitting up, you take it gratefully, taking a few sips. You hand it back to him before resuming your slumber.
And so under the lights of hyperspace, the cycle continued until you reached Ord Mantell. Every thirty minutes or so, Hunter would wake up after you throw up in the bucket; he would flush it before returning it to you clean. Occassionally, he would refill the bottle with water, as well.
In your delurious state, sometimes you would see Wolffe instead of Hunter moving about. And it would seep into your dreams, too. You would see the blur of grey and white armor of the Wolfpack instead of the colorful armor of the Batch. You would hear Wolffe's voice—gruff and strict—telling you to take it easy.
But as the hours tick by, you no longer see or hear anyone from the Wolfpack, whether it be in your dreams or reality. You don't see the grey and white. Instead, you see flashes of color; you see flashes of grey mixed with yellow, red, cyan, and orange. You don't hear Wolffe's strict voice, Boost and Sinker's jokes, or Master Plo's comforting advice. You hear Hunter's gruff but caring remarks, Wrecker's booming laughter, Echo's gentle reminders, Tech's steady comments, and Omega's soft greetings.
And as you arrive at Ord Mantell, you accept their assistance without protest as you disembark from the Marauder. You know that Master Plo and the 104th would always have a place in your heart, but you know now that there's room for five more colorful people.

this is a requested one shot (1k)
warnings: 18+, sexual topics & implication of sex, alcohol usage
notes: neither hunter or reader are drunk/intoxicated - neither have finished their first drinks.
summary: hunter sees reader from across the room while he (and tech) are undercover at a pirate party for intel.
A/N: thank you so much for the request, @kombatkid ! this is my first request for tbb & i hope i did it justice. also, i’ve wanted to write a fic like this for so long - thank you for giving me reason to xd <3
requests are open!
Tumblr media
“Hunter,” Tech started, eyeing the girl across the room, “If you do not initiate a conversation with her, I will.”
Hunter looked at his brother, wide-eyed, “What has gotten into you, Tech?” When the mentioned didn’t offer an answer, Hunter continued, “We have a mission - best we stick to it.”
“What better way to gather intel than from the source?” Tech’s eyes wandered to the girl clad in a dark red dress, hugging her form in all the right places. “It is not a bad thing to ‘let go’ once in a while. I am sure Echo would agree with me if he were here.”
Hunter’s mind wandered to his brothers stuck on the Marauder, wishing he didn’t have one of the less attention grabbing appearances in the group - face tattoo and all. The tattoo did help him fit in with the pirates surrounding him, though. At the change of the song, Hunter was brought back to reality - back to you.
“Am I allowed to say no?” Hunter rhetorically asked, already knowing what Tech’s answer would be. Before his brother could even reply, a sigh left Hunter’s lips, “If you record this, you’re on cleaning duty.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it!” Tech spoke, a mischievous glint in his eye. Once Hunter was far enough away from him, Tech started the recording for his brothers. Force, they were going to love this.
You leaned on a high table and observed the scene around you - loud music, dancing people, drinks. God, the drinks were incredible - they were the only reason you were there to begin with. Partying with people like you was definitely not your idea of fun, but people watching was. You took a sip of your drink, hardly having touched it. Your crew seemed to be having the time of their lives on the dance floor, leaving you by yourself. That was how all of these outings went - they coerce you that “it will be fun!” and “you’ll have a great time!”, but these parties have yet to live up to either expectation.
You were disturbed from your thoughts when a man with a half-skull tattooed on his face walked up to you - he looked to be having as much fun as you were. He stood beside you, holding a drink of his own and sipping from it. You’d be the first to admit he’s attractive - more attractive than anybody else in the crowded room. You turned to face him fully, placing your elbows on the table.
After a few moments of pounding music in the background, the man spoke.
“Do you wanna…” He awkwardly started, motioning with his head toward the pit of people, “with me?”
You thought for a moment. Anyone who’d asked before you declined immediately, yet this was tempting. You weren’t sure if it was the alluring presence of the man or if the liquor was hitting, but you ultimately decided to accept the invitation, taking the hand he offered.
The man led you to an open space between people before grabbing hold of your waist and giving you a look, asking if his hand placement was okay. You nodded, letting a smile grace your lips. A polite and handsome man? That’s a first at parties like these.
A familiar song came on, to which your eyes lit up - you love this song. You’d always wanted to dance to it at parties like these, but you’d never had a partner to. You felt yourself let go of whatever front you were putting up and allowed your hips to sway, the hands on your waist gripping you tighter.
You’d found yourself with your back turned to the stranger after the first verse, his hands now on your stomach. You bent over and brought your hands up your legs, leaving his hands to trail to your hips. Your ass brushed against his crotch, something almost bursting at the seams of his trousers. As you came back up, your back was flush against his chest and he breathed heavily in your ear, head slightly tilted downward.
The two of you continued the sensual dance to the song - two strangers in sync. The chemistry between you only strengthened with each song played, the last song ending with both of you out of breath and leaning against each other - your hands on the nape of his neck, tangled in his hair and his hands gripping your waist. Sweat was now dripping from your faces as you looked at the man you didn’t even know the name of - he was perfect.
For the first time, you didn’t want the night to end. Usually you were anticipating the time to leave - not this time. You were with the perfect man, who somehow single-handedly made the experience one of the best you’ve ever had.
“All of that and I didn’t even catch your name,” he whispered into your ear, the music finally having been turned off. You refused to move, as did he - you were both enjoying it too much.
“You know, everyone has to pass the dance test before earning that right,” You joked with him. You leaned back far enough to see the smile on his lips - along with the blush on his cheeks.
A laugh fell from his lips, “Surely I got a passing grade.”
“Just barely,” You offered your name with a smile, and learned his name - Hunter. “Well, Hunter. Thank you,” You combed your fingers through his hair, “I had a good time. Too bad it’s over.”
Hunter thought for a minute before boldly speaking, hoping he didn’t read the room wrong - “Who says it’s over?”
The next morning (after getting your comm channel), Hunter returned to his brothers on the Marauder. They all greeted him with knowing looks - looks that said ‘you got laid’ in not as many words.
“I am impressed by your ability to ‘connect’ with people,” Tech said, eyes trained on his datapad. “I would not be surprised if you returned with no information - thank the Force I was there too.”
“Didn’t know you could move like that, Hunter!” Wrecker laughed with a clap to Hunter’s upper-back, “Ya gotta teach me sometime!”
“Cleaning duty for the next month, Tech.” Hunter winced, knowing his brothers have all seen his less-than PG dancing with a stranger. He walked to the bunks, ready to get some much needed sleep before hearing someone’s muttering.
“Worth it.”

What kind of man loves like this
Part three of the Crosshair × you series
Rating: Explicit
Wordcount: 2.8k
Summary:
You are in an established relationship with Crosshair, spending your free time on Pabu together. It’s the night of the annual ocean festival and you convince Crosshair to join the rest of the crew to celebrate together. You all enjoy a wholesome evening together and when thing get heated up Crosshair takes you to the beach.
Notes:
This is a continuation of the “Say my name” fic but you don’t need the context to enjoy this. After the latest episode of TBB I really wanted to give them some time on Pabu together, so there is a lot of fluff with the whole Batch but of course we can’t go without some nice smut with our man Crosshair(fingering/unprotected sex). He is very possessive and jealous in this story. Hope you like it.
Tumblr media
Tonight the whole crew is back on Pabu and you're preparing for the annual ocean festivities. Crosshair, initially hesitant about attending, is swayed by the sight of you in the typical festival attire, a sheer blue linen dress that accentuates your curves and mirrors the ocean's waves, barefoot and a silvery pearl bracelet around your ankle. "You look stunning," Crosshair murmurs, his eyes lingering hungrily on you as you twirl before him, showcasing every angle of the outfit. “But you know I can easily rip that beautiful dress off of you and make you stay home” he offers. A playful smirk graces your lips as you respond, "Thanks, but you're not getting out of this so easily. You promised Omega we'd go." Crosshair sighs in resignation but offers a small smile. "Alright, but I'm not dressing up," he declares firmly, the dismissive glint in his eyes underlining he's absolutely against the idea. After a bit of persuasion you can at least convince him to leave his armor at home and the two of you finally get on your way to join the crew at the beach to partake in the festivities.
Crosshair dressed himself very basic like always but you can’t take your eyes off of him, the sleek black shirt tightly stretched over his slender yet toned body makes you almost regret that you didn’t take his offer to stay home with him. But you soon get distracted as Omega is running towards you, happy that you finally arrived. “Come on, Crosshair, it'll be fun," she says and together with the crew, you gather at the beach to witness the solemn ceremony, where offerings of fruits, flowers and candy are reverently cast into the sea. Hunter, playfully hoisting Omega onto his shoulders, ensures she has an unobstructed view of the proceedings. "Look Omega, the fruits and candy are for the sea spirits," Hunter explains, his voice filled with excitement as he gestures towards the ocean. Omega's eyes widen in wonder as she takes in the scene, her enthusiasm contagious as she bounces on Hunter's shoulders. "Wow, can we also get some of that candy later?" she asks eagerly, her gaze darting between the crew members. “Oh yeah, I want some too” Wrecker replies with excitement.
As the ceremony comes to and end and everyone makes their way up to the fair, the narrow streets and alleys become alive with bustling activity, adorned with twinkling lights and resonating with the lively strains of music. The scent of delicious food and sweets fills the air, enticing your senses as you navigate through the crowd with the crew. "Look, Omega, there's the juice stand!" you exclaim, pointing towards a bustling stall where various exotic drinks are being served. Omega's eyes light up with excitement as she clings to Hunter's shoulders, her enthusiasm contagious as she eagerly scans the assortment of beverages. "Can we get one?" she asks eagerly, her gaze darting between you and Crosshair. "Of course," you reply with a grin, leading the way towards the stall as the crew follows closely behind.
Amidst the throngs of festival-goers, you draw intrigued gazes, the unfamiliar sight of a Twi'lek capturing the attention of many. However, you pay little heed to the stares, focusing instead on the joyous atmosphere surrounding you. There are many places in the Galaxy that have never seen a Twi’lek and you got used to the looks you get when you arrive somewhere new. Finally, finding a free table where you can all sit together, the crew settles in to watch the festivities unfold and Omega runs off with Echo to get some candy that is only made on this particular day. Despite Crosshair's occasional death stares at the men that look at you too long for his taste, the evening is filled with laughter and camaraderie.
But after one guy winked at you and another one extended an invitation for a dance, he is almost loosing it and his grip tightens around you, pulling you onto his lap to make sure everyone knows you’re with him. "Jealous?" you tease him, leaning back against his chest as you revel in his protective embrace. Crosshair's lips brush against your ear, his voice low and husky as he murmurs, "Enjoying the attention, sweetheart?" You chuckle softly, the sound mingling with the rhythmic beats of the music. "Maybe a little," you taunt him on purpose, trying to push him a little further. Hunter, who's been observing the exchange with keen interest, can't help but interject with a playful quip. "Don't worry, Cross, not even I could steal her from you," he remarks, a knowing smirk playing at his lips. Wrecker, meanwhile, looks on between the three of you with a puzzled expression, completely oblivious to the dynamics at play. "What's going on here, heh?" he asks, furrowing his brow in confusion. Crosshair's steely gaze fixes on Hunter, a silent warning conveyed in the intensity of his stare. "Nothing you need to worry about, Wrecker," he replies tersely, his attention returning to you with a possessive gleam in his eyes. A mischievous smile graces your lips as you continue to tease Crosshair, relishing in the subtle power play between the two of you. "I like it when you're jealous," you murmur, your voice laced with a hint of seduction. "It's hot." Crosshair's jaw clenches visibly, his possessive instincts flaring at the thought of anyone else daring to lay eyes on you. "I'm not jealous," he retorts, though the tension in his voice betrays his true feelings. "I just don't like the way they look at you in that dress." As you shift in his lap, the unmistakable hardness of his growing arousal presses against your thigh, almost eliciting a soft gasp from your lips. "Careful," he warns, his breath hot against your ear. "Or do you want me to show them who you belong to, right here?" You can feel the heat pooling between your thighs at his suggestive words, a shiver of anticipation coursing through your body as you meet his gaze with equal parts desire and defiance. "Maybe I do," you tease, your voice a sultry whisper as you lean in closer to kiss him, the tantalizing prospect of a public display of dominance igniting a fiery passion between you.
“Excuse us for a moment” he snarls towards his brothers and without waiting for an answer, he gets up sweeping you with him. You follow him eagerly, the music and laughter fade into the background, curiosity mingling with anticipation as you ask, "Where are you taking me?" …"Somewhere away from the gazes, where you are all mine," he murmurs, his voice low and husky with desire. The two of you descend down to the beach, the salty breeze caressing your skin as the sound of the waves grow louder with each step. Crosshair leads you to a secluded cove nestled amidst the moonlit rocks, hidden from prying eyes, the air heavy with the salty scent of the ocean. As soon as you're out of view, Crosshair pulls you into a passionate kiss, his hunger evident in the way his hands roam beneath your dress, igniting a firestorm of desire within you. Without hesitation, he slips his hand into your panties, his fingers expertly tracing along your wet folds, immediately coaxing moans of pleasure from your lips.
Your senses reel as you kiss his neck, tasting the salt on his skin as he slides two fingers into you, sending waves of pleasure coursing through your body. It doesn't take long for him to bring you to the brink of ecstasy, leaving you whimpering for more with his skillful touch. "Tell me how bad you want me," he whispers, his voice thick with desire. "I want you to beg for it." Your breath catches in your throat as you gaze into his eyes, the intensity of his stare fueling the flames of your desire. "Please, Crosshair," you whimper, your voice a desperate plea. "I need you. I need you to fuck me." A wicked grin spreads across his lips as he lifts you off your feet and positions you atop a small boulder, his throbbing cock teasing your entrance, driving you to the brink of madness with desire. "I don't hear you begging," he taunts, his voice laced with a teasing edge. You arch your back, your body trembling with anticipation as you plead, "Please fuck me, Crosshair. I need you inside of me." You feel the tip of his cock opening you up but he doesn’t move further. “Pleeeease”you beg. "Who do you belong to?" he demands, his voice commanding and possessive. "I'm yours," you cry out, your voice echoing in the stillness of the night. "I'm all yours." You can feel the heat radiating from his body, his desire burning as he finally guides his throbbing cock to your slick entrance and with a slow, deliberate thrust, he enters you, the sensation of his thick length stretching you to your limits sending waves of pleasure coursing through your body. You gasp in ecstasy as he fills you completely, every inch of him sliding deeper and deeper until he's buried to the hilt. His movements are measured and deliberate, each thrust driving you to the brink of madness as he sets a tantalizing rhythm that leaves you begging for more. With each stroke, he plunges into you with a primal hunger, his hips snapping against yours in a relentless tempo that leaves you breathless. You arch your back, your nails digging into his skin as you meet his every thrust with a desperate urgency of your own. The heat between you grows with each passing moment, the intensity of your connection igniting a wildfire of passion that consumes you both. Crosshair's eyes never leave yours, his gaze burning with raw desire as he loses himself in the primal ecstasy of your lovemaking. With every stroke, he drives you closer and closer to the edge, his cock plunging into you with an almost brutal force that pushes you to the brink of ecstasy. And then, in a dizzying explosion of pleasure, you shatter into a million pieces, your cries mingling with his own as you surrender to the overwhelming bliss of the moment and feel him filling you up with his hot cum. Together, you ride the waves of ecstasy, lost in the intoxicating rhythm of your bodies moving as one.
You collapse into each other's arms, your bodies slick with sweat as you bask in the afterglow of your shared release. You stay exactly like this, kissing his neck and taking in his scent until his cock softens and slides out of you. "Please, never leave me," Crosshair whispers, his voice filled with vulnerability as he holds you close. "You make me feel things I never knew I could."…."I won't," you promise, your heart swelling with love for this man "I love you, Crosshair. I'm all yours.” He murmurs content with your answer, sealing your words with a tender kiss. "As much as I hate it but we should probably head back to the others," he suggests after a while, breaking the tranquil silence that envelops the secluded cove. You can't help but smirk mischievously as you glance down at the telltale evidence of your recent escapade, the faint trail of his cum oozing out of you between your legs glistening in the moonlight. "Like this?" you tease, gesturing playfully to the sticky residue on your skin. Crosshair chuckles in response, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "At least now they'll know you're mine," he quips, his tone laced with possessive affection. Without waiting for a response, you swiftly shed your dress and dart towards the ocean, signaling for him to join you. "Are you sure about this?" Crosshair hesitates for a moment, his gaze fixed on your inviting form, before casting off his clothes and wading into the water beside you. The moonlight casts a soft glow over your naked bodies as you bask in the warm waves, the salty ocean breeze caressing your skin, heightening the intensity of your connection. Lost in the moment, you exchange tender kisses amidst the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea. In between the sound of the crashing waves he softly murmurs “I love you” into your ear, before placing a kiss on your forehead, so quiet you might have missed it, but you didn’t and you pull him as close as you can, nestling your head against his neck. But as much as you revel in this private paradise, the thought of your companions waiting pulls you back to reality. With a reluctant sigh, you disentangle yourself from Crosshair's embrace and wade out of the water, casting one final glance at his silhouette, naked and beautifully bathed in the moon's ethereal glow before you get dressed.
Your legs tremble slightly with residual pleasure as you navigate the narrow streets upwards back to the bustling fair. Crosshair's sweet words of affection echoing in your ears, painting a wide smile on your face. As you return to the group, their curious gazes turn towards you, prompting Omega to pipe up with her usual curiosity. "Did you go swimming?" she asks, her eyes wide with excitement. "I thought Crosshair didn't like swimming." You grin mischievously, nodding in confirmation. "Looks like he changed his mind," you reply with a playful wink, earning a warning glance from Crosshair. Despite the dismissive look he sends Hunter's way, you gladly accept the cape offered by Hunter, wrapping it snugly around yourself to ward off the chill that has settled in your bones after the swim. With the night still young and the festivities far from over, you all decide to take a leisurely stroll around the fairgrounds, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling festival. “Can you believe how much candy that kid can pack away?" Wrecker chuckles, his deep voice carrying through the night as Omega bounces along beside him, her eyes shining with excitement. "Yeah, she's definitely going to crash hard later," you reply with a laugh, Omega, fueled by the sugar rush from her third bag of candies, runs around happily, her laughter echoing through the night air. The moment you set foot on Pabu, you knew there was something special about this place. Its tranquil beaches, bustling markets, and vibrant culture captured your heart from the very beginning. And now, as you wander through the streets with your friends and fellow crew mates, you can't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over you. Spending time here with the entire crew is a rare treat, a precious opportunity to forget about the harsh realities of the outside world and simply enjoy each other's company. Here, on the sandy shores of Pabu, you can all let your guard down and revel in the simple pleasures of life. But perhaps the most beautiful part of it all is seeing Omega's eyes light up with joy and wonder at the sights and sounds of the festival. Here, she can be a child for a moment, free to laugh and play without a care in the world. And for that, you are endlessly grateful.
But even Omega has her limits, and soon she begins to tire, her steps slowing as exhaustion sets in. With a weary sigh, Wrecker scoops her up into his arms, cradling her gently as she drifts off to sleep, her breathing steady and calm against his chest. “Alright, let’s call it a night” Hunter suggests and you all agree. With Wrecker carrying Omega and you wrapped in Crosshair's arm, you walk together in comfortable silence, the warmth of his embrace cosy against the cool night air. As you reach your apartment, you bid farewell to the crew, promising to see them bright and early the next day. Omega, awake again and ever the optimist, insists that Crosshair accompanies her for a swim in the morning, a request that leaves Hunter thoroughly amused and with a chuckle, you and Crosshair make your way inside, the soft glow of the apartment welcoming you home. “I’m not gonna like it” he sighs after the door has closed behind you. “You don’t like anything” you remind him. “I like you” he objects, pulling you in for a loving kiss.

Of course I cried (a TBB S1 Retrospective and cry fest)
Tumblr media
I finished S1 and it honestly is still stands really strong. While I love the other seasons more (for quite obvious reasons), S1 still has really standout moments and episodes such as the finale. Crosshair might be in is bad boy era, but he's still incredibly compelling.
What hurts to me most about S1 is this image above. This is the last time CF99 is all together. Ever. Obviously, we didn't know that and neither did our boys and Omega. Even if the Batch knew in-universe there was a chance that they would never see each other again, I think deep down they hoped they would reunite. I know Omega had hope that Crosshair would somehow find his way home.
What makes S1 (and the whole show in retrospect) even more tragic is that we will never see the BB whole ever again. It makes Tech's death hurt that much more because he and Crosshair never made proper amends. The last thing he hears Crosshair talk about is how everyone else is foolish for not joining the Empire and making his choice to stay. One of the last memories Crosshair really has of his brother is him pointing his blaster at him. After that, it's a one way ticket to suffering for Crosshair.
I know it's just a show, but images like the one above make me wish we had more time with the Batch before they were so cruelly torn apart from each other and it only enhances the tragedy they go through. The series finale, no matter how sunshiney it looks, is still bittersweet. The Batch finally get their freedom but at a great cost. Tech doesn't make it. Crosshair is still deeply hurting. It's a harsh reality that breaks my heart. In Rebels, we had 3 seasons of the Ghost crew together before we lost both Kanan and (temporarily) Ezra. The BB don't even get a single season all together. I would've loved to see them all with each other at least one more time without all the conflict.
But looking at S1 as a whole in general, I still really enjoy it. I love episodes like "Common Ground" or "War-Mantle" because we see how monstrous the Empire really is right out of the gate. Rampart, as goofy as that scream made him look, is a very crafty and entertaining villain who you just want to punch in the face. Crosshair himself is a fantastic villain who's both ruthless and tragic. While he doesn't hold back, the clear attachment he still has to his brothers in the back half of the season make the finale that much more emotional.
And while you can argue there is a lot of "filler," a rewatch proves that each episode happens for a reason. Why did the Batch have to capture a baby Rancor? So they could get info on Fennec. How come they stuck around to help Cid? Because she gave them money and work. I'm not saying that it's the most entertaining content we've seen, but there is a clear purpose for why those episodes happen.
I would've loved to see more Crosshair (for obvious reasons), but I do think the first season does balance out the story arcs well and when we do see him, he is always great. Thanks to the great music and acting from DBB, I do think the first season makes it clear that while Crosshair isn't leaving the Empire, he's not the same man he was pre-Bracca. The chip's influence isn't there (or at the very least severely diminished based on how you interpret Cross' reveal) and he does want them back but only on his terms.
As for the others, I definitely understand Hunter a bit more. He wants to help Crosshair, but he really doesn't know how nor does he want to endanger the others. I wish the group had a least one conversation about it though. For a group that feels like they should be very tight knit, it still feels like they brush Cross' departure off quite quickly. It's kinda like the Tech scenario in S3 where you know they're thinking about it, but nobody says anything. And that's frustrating because you know the Batch have a lot on their mind, especially Crosshair. And ironically, the quietist of the Batch is the most vocal about his feelings. Crosshair is so expressive and it's one of my favorite things about it.
Omega is such a cute munchkin. I adore her with every fiber of my being. She takes everything with stride and I love how S1 establishes many skills (like the hustling) that will later come into play in S2 or S3. And the show isn't afraid to show her learning process. Omega makes many mistakes, but she learns quickly and tries again. She loves her brothers so much.
Overall, S1 is still very strong and much more tragic in retrospect. I guess in someways, it reminds us how unfair life can be sometimes and that's why we gotta cherish each moment. Tech might no longer be with us, but he lives on through each of his brothers and Omega. Cross might never see him again, but as he tries to be better, Tech is no doubt smiling down from Clone Heaven.
Anyways, onto S2 (and more sadness). TBB lowkey is the most tragic of the SW animated shows not counting the Siege of Mandalore arc in CW. Every season, something awful happens to tear our little clone family apart. That's why the ending on Pabu, no matter the quality of writing, meant so much to me.

Fandom Friday: Crossing The Fandom Streams!
Tumblr media
06/07/2024
Hello again, everyone…and welcome back to another Fandom Friday.
The purpose of these entries, if you have not yet heard it, is to bring more visibility to art and stories that might otherwise go unnoticed on the Tumblr timeline, as well as to help the creators of such fanworks achieve more followers in the process.
Today is also the day where, so that I don't stray too far from the Star Wars fandom, I start bringing in some Crossovers material in order to keep things interesting.
And third, since "The Acolyte" has just become available for streaming as of 2 days ago, this will now become a sub-category for future fanworks, as I've already found a few nice pieces so far in the fanart section, and am looking forward to discovering a lot more as time progresses.
Therefore, with these thoughts in mind, I now bring you my picks of the week!

In conclusion, as part of my mission to poke around the Star Wars fandom and, on Friday every week, highlight those artists and writers who might otherwise go unnoticed…I hope you will check out the links I have included for yourselves and like, comment on, and reblog them, as well as also giving the artists and writers a few more followers to their Tumblr pages.
Please also like and reblog this latest installment so that these links can be spread around to as many other fans as possible, just in case not all of them can tune in at the same time.
An additional thank you goes to @djarrex for making the divider I used earlier in this post, but still want to give credit for.
And finally, so that I do not forget…thank you to my friends, thank you to this fandom, good morning, and good luck.

Just finished the Bad Batch finale and HOLY SHIT IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD
SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT
THEY ALL LIVED!!! HOLY SHIT THEY ALL LIVED I CAN'T BELIEVE IT--
So um.... yeah Tech's still not dead to me, CX-2 is alive, everything is fine, we'll see him soon, it's fine-
Crosshair GOT HIS HAND CUT OFFFF- Not the biggest Crosshair fan but I still feel so bad.... BYT AT LEAST HE MADE THE SHOT AND SAVED OMEGA AND HE GETS A HAPPY ENDING NOW
Speaking of happy endings, THEY ALL GET TO GROW OLD!!!! I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY FOR THAT, I'M SO GRATEFUL THEY GET TO LIVE THAT PEACEFUL LIFE THEY WANTED, EVEN IF WE DIDN’T GET TO SEE IT
GONKY'S ALIVE AND WELL, THANK THE FORCE
Emerie helped the kids escape I'm so glad they all made it too AND THE KIDS LOOKED SO CUTE ON PABU WITH MOX, DEKE, AND STAK
ECHO'S STILL ALIVE AND HELPING THE CLONES FIGHT, HELL YEAH
They rescued the clones!!!! I'm SO FUCKING HAPPY they did
HEMLOCK AND RAMPART ARE FUCKING DEAD, LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO
Rampart was a double-crossing son of a bitch and he got what he deserved. Rest in peace, Nala Se. You may not have always been on the right side, but you died doing the right thing.
Did I mention that I don't think Tech is dead?
The CXs were SO COOL I wish we got to see more of them!!!
DID I MENTION THAT I DON'T THINK TECH IS DEAD?!? (I'm not losing hope guys, I'm not-)
The Zillo beast absolutely RIPPING UP TANTISS was fucking FANTASTIC and I love it and it was VERY VERY MUCH DESERVED
Baryn is me, I need loud destructive noises to fall asleep LOL (this is why I can only fall asleep to FNAF songs in my ears-)
Seeing grown up Omega made me cry, and I love that older Hunter looks like pretty much every older Hunter fanart ever drawn-
Wish we could have seen older Wrecker and Crosshair, and GIVE ME SCENES OF BOTH OF THEM HEALING, PLEASE- (Crosshair did not eat on screen the ENTIRE SEASON I don't like that at ALL.)
Overall, I thought the finale was a solid 9 1/2 out of 10, the only thing that could have made it better was a CX-2 is Tech reveal, but... I mean I got everything else, so I'm not entirely disappointed.
I'm still staying VERY MUCH a part of this fandom, sorry not sorry to my followers who came for the Ninja Turtles and got Star Wars copy-paste men instead-
As I mentioned, I do have a Bad Batch project coming out soon, and I guess I could call it a fix-it now... but yeah, I'm not done with Star Wars and at this point in my life, I really don't think I'm leaving this fandom any time soon. Yes, it has some issues, as all fandoms do, but it's where I fit best at the moment. I'll still be posting other stuff, but Star Wars and the Scream franchise are my main fandoms for now.
Thank you to the cast and crew of this WONDERFUL show, you did it again, Star Wars. (*puts TBB in my top 3 TV shows of all time*)
And thanks to all my friends here on Tumblr who helped me get into this show and traded theories and so much more! (Also special thanks to @atyourdinosaurs for all of your love, theories, and ideas [and for inspiring my new project], and to @casp1an-sea and @thecoffeelorian for being two amazing friends I made from this fandom!)
We had a great run, guys. It's a honor to love this show and to be here for its final moments. Here's to more Star Wars and to more Bad Batch content in the future.

***TBB SPOILERS***
My primary takeaway from these last six episodes is that Hunter and Crosshair ARE SO MARRIED OH MY GOD. They do everything together, even little chores.
And my Crosshair-is-Hunter's-second agenda continues to thrive; since their reunion, Hunter has hardly made a decision without checking with Crosshair first.
The way I cackled at Crosshair looking up at a ship careening in the sky and being all put upon: "Uh-huh. That's the idiot I married. Unfortunately."
And then the way he hurriedly reached for his binocs when they saw the ship crash, and how the camera lingers on him to show his relief, sob. I see you and thank you for your service, shippers on the crew.
Finally a glimpse of the cadets! Thinking about them tasting ice cream for the first time makes me want to cry. How many clones have never tasted it...
I like that "Identity Crisis" was like a mirror of "Confined," but I think it could have been 15 minutes. To be fair to them, I feel this way about like 75% of the franchise.
So we were all very wrong about what was in the Vault. What was Palpatine even going in there for, honestly. I do quite like this foreshadowing of the Inquisitorius though.
The ominous hint about Emerie's past is interesting. Is the implication that Nala Se took Omega under her wing and abandoned the rest of the Omega clones? Like Jango, I guess.
I love that Tarkin's cameos are all about funding. Something about the Imps squabbling over government spending just delights me. I wonder if the end of that conversation actually means he's not going to be killed by the clones but by Palpatine instead? That'd be kind of disappointing tbh.
Hilarious to me that Fennec got an entire episode and Cad Bane got like two minutes of screentime. Like Asajj, he knows when to stay out of the plot. They did my boy Todo justice though, love that dumb droid.
I, a plushie enthusiast, approve of how this is adamantly a pro-plushie show. But how am I supposed to believe that Omega, who missed Lula so much she effectively cloned her, was just going to leave her there??? I guess that whole scene was just a way to remove her and the goggles from the ship before it exploded.
I'm in the middle of writing like five different Tech/Wrecker whump fics and even I wouldn't have written CX-2 effectively shooting Wrecker. My heart!!!
I was so worried about Gonky. Glad he's okay.
"Point of No Return" needed 15 more minutes, actually. I continually find it so jarring how quickly this show breezes through reactions. It would've been nice to see at least a little more from the Batch at the sight of their ship being blown up.
That ending...was not for me. Crosshair missing that shot after he was given an entire episode to figure out what was wrong and meditate is such a frustrating choice. What even is going to be the arc here? Is it really going to be him abandoning his weapon entirely? That should be an upswing in the plot, but at this point it'd be more believable for him to be like, "Man, fuck this, I'm over it," lmao.
I'm glad Omega at least chose to get captured. Everyone knows I've been pissed about the anti-heroic messaging of this show from the start, and given how afraid I was that they would just abandon the other clones, I'm very relieved Omega's had this arc of worrying about them. But it's so silly to retread this line of plot after the three kickass episodes covering this exact thing. These next episodes are absolutely about to be messy af, and it's a bummer how it'll take away from the impressive clarity of the first three.
Why does this show keep cutting the titular team off at the knees?? Seems like Omega will probably work with Emerie and Nala Se to contact the Batch and Echo/Rex with the coordinates, but that will mean that Hunter's group will once again be lost and searching in the meantime. And they didn't even get to find her the first time!
Truly the quintessential fandom show. Half of it makes me tear my hair out in frustration and the other half makes me shriek in delight.

Soo... TBB Finale. This art was very rushed and it's the first time I've ever drawn these characters, so I hope it came out good.
Tumblr media
I'm not going to talk about the finale itself here, moreso a general love letter to the show.
I'll be honest, I have a very love-hate relationship with this show. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I greatly dislike some of the writing decisions made. And it's by no means my favourite Star Wars media.
But it has this special place in my heart as the show that I can't help going back to, purely cause of attachment to the characters. I'm not even sure how and when it happened but somewhere along the line I just got super super attached to this family of characters trying to heal and live a peaceful life together, and I love that.
I haven't been in the fandom very consistently. I was there for the season 1 finale, I was not keeping up for most of season 2 until the finale again, and only hopped on the bandwagon again in the beginning of season 3 and now for the finale. I guess you could say it's been a very on and off relationship. But now it's ending and I have to say, it's been fun. It's been fun watching these characters grow and change, and it's been watching their dynamic as a team of siblings.
I have a lot of memories with this show, from back in 2021 when I was looking for something to watch in between online classes, to now, when I was looking for something to watch in school holidays. I can't deny that the time I spent with the show, I spent having a blast and I will cherish those memories forever.
Being a Star Wars fan means picking and choosing which parts of this vast franchise to make your little place in, and the Bad Batch is definitely a part of that place for me. I love this show, flaws and all, and I hope the fandom keeps the spirit alive after the finale and for whatever comes next.
So, thank you. To all the cast and crew who made this show what it is. To all the animators (I hope they're getting paid fairly for some of the insanely realistic environments they create for this show), to the composers for the gorgeous atmospheric music, to the sound designers, to the voice actors. And to the fandom, for making some truly amazing fan content through the years and for sharing my love for these characters. Here's to all of us enjoying this show for years to come.
❤️❤️❤️ - Jewel

Y'know those agent profiles that are seen in TGC when Charlie hacks into the Kingsman database? I made these near the time I got into the franchise (late 2021), but I never shared them anywhere, mostly because I doubted the film makers really cared about their accuracy (and most viewers don't care either). I've never been hooked on any film franchise unlike video games, so I was shocked no one overanalyzed the images and shared it for the fandom to see. Well, here they are (with accompanying alt-text):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
James is in there too - he deserves it.
Some of the text I couldn't make out from the film, so if you can fill in the blanks, please share. Fortunately, thanks to these tweets, I could read some parts better.
Explanations and thoughts under the cut:
I decided to mix Eggsy's profile from the one we see in TSS when he visits Harry at the infirmary and TGC. Why? He's apparently 5'9" IRL (so I went with TSS's 5'10" over the 6'00") and he couldn't be born in 1985 because he would be 29 in TSS, which is wrong. Same thing with Roxy's DOB. Changed their admission dates to 2014 instead of 2012.
Speaking of incorrect heights, I'm pretty sure they just threw in some random numbers: Colin Firth is 6'1½". In TSS, after the train test, you can see him and Alastair (Percival, 6'4") on the same plane. Alastair appears just slightly taller, so I assume 6'2". In this particular photo of Colin alongside Alastair and Carlos (Bedivere, 6'3"), they're all roughly the same height. However, they're not standing side-by-side so it's a bit difficult to determine the exact difference. They're like a variation of that three-headed dragon meme. Then there's this other photo with Chester (Lamorak, 6'5"), Carlos, Bimbo (Gawain, 6'3"), and Percival. Chester is clearly taller than all three. If Carlos and Alastair are 6'2", he's probably 6'4". Bimbo looks just slightly shorter, so he's 6'1". Oh and Jack Davenport (Lancelot/James) is also 6'2", not 6'1". Not a big deal overall, but I really like accuracy when it comes to heights.
Some things that may be of interest: Lamorak and Bedivere share admission dates. Next of kin for filler agents are actually those of the film crew in TGC (yes, I looked at the credits too much). Arthur (good) and Lancelot (James) share the same next of kin.
As for the notes sections: With The King's Man, it's impossible for Arthur to have served in all British special forces before Kingsman formed - he was born 1940. Bedivere is referred to as Percival. Percival is referred to as Kay (!), who doesn't have a profile. Finally, the section after Geraint's hair colour is covered by other profiles the entire time.
So yeah, do whatever you want with this info.
Who do you have as the last unnamed agent? I was hoping they'd officially confirm all the codenames in TKM, but then they only listed names we already knew plus Bedivere. They'll do it in TBB, right? Right?

One too many (Captain Rex x reader)
Tumblr media
summary: set right after the bad batch s2 finale, reader feels like they’ve lost too much
relationship: Rex x GN reader
warnings: tbb season 2 spoilers, mention of character deaths, so much angst, reader dissociating, verbal argument, saying things to each other that you don’t actually mean, making up after a fight
word count: 2.8k
A/N: the tbb season 2 finale left a very bitter taste in my mouth so i had to do something about it. i made myself cry with this one and you shall too. bon appetit :)
big thanks to @snippy-tano for helping me out with this one!<3
(english is not my first language. constructive criticism and grammar corrections are very appreciated!)
— — —
“We’re going to get her back,” Hunter says firmly. “And we don’t stop searching until we do.”
Even though the rest of the crew is silent, he knows everyone feels the same.
“We need to regroup and resupply to make a plan,” Echo suggests after a moment. “I know a place.”
“Where?”
Echo turns to the navigation panel and enters the coordinates. The system beeps as it calculates the next possible hyperspace route.
“That’s Rex’s hideout,” the clone explains.
Once the jump is possible, Hunter pushes the lever, and the endless sky of stars before you blurs as you make the jump.
Everyone on the ship is silent as you process what happened, and think about how to proceed from here on out. Wrecker is hugging Lula to his chest with silent sniffles, Hunter sits in the captain's chair with his arms crossed and eyes closed, trying to collect his thoughts.
The only thing you can hear is the steady hum of the ship travelling through hyperspace surrounding you. Echo and you are sitting behind Hunter, your chairs facing each other. The moving lights outside reflect on his pale face, creating a swirl of whites and blues. But you don't see it, as your gaze is fixed on the floor before you. You can feel Echo’s eyes on you though, yet you're unable to meet them. Your brain seems to simultaneously be going at a thousand miles an hour and have stopped entirely. You're not even sure if you're breathing anymore.
Echo places a gentle hand on your knee, but you don't react at all. In fact you don't even feel it. The ship, its sounds, everyone on board; you see them moving further and further away from you, shrinking into the distance, until you're left in the void. Everything is black and cold, inviting you to sink deeper into nothingness, and you can't tell if you're there as well or if you're long gone.
After a while, or maybe immediately (you don't seem to have a grasp on time right now), you hear your name being called very faintly, from really far away. You block it out, not ready to leave this hidden corner of your brain just yet where you don't have to come to terms with, well, anything.
But your consciousness is rattled awake by a hand shaking your shoulder. You can feel yourself coming back the whole distance you had gone back before, at an ungodly speed, and within a split second you're back on the Marauder.
A wave of nausea crashes over you like a bucket of cold water. You lean forwards, suppressing a gag, your arms clutching over your stomach. You look up, eyes still unfocused and detached, and are met with Echo’s worried gaze.
“You okay?” he asks, concern very clear in his voice. “Not sure where you went there.”
His hands come to hold yours on your lap; you're trembling. Unable to form a response, you merely nod your head at him. Echo studies your face for a moment, and just as he’s about to say something else, Hunter speaks first.
“We’re here,” he announces.
The Marauder comes out of hyperspace, and you hear a voice through the ship’s comms asking for identification. A voice you've heard a thousand times in several dozen different people. A voice you've come to love, and lately despise, all at the same time. A voice that for you, held memories as well as burdens. A voice you sometimes wished you could forget.
The ship wobbles when the tractor beam starts pulling you in, and Hunter leaves his post to gather some equipment.
“Get ready,” he orders, taking Echo to the back of the ship to discuss something. You also get up and walk straight to the door. The Marauder barely even landed before you open the hatch and jump out, taking a deep breath of the filtered air.
You turn around to see Hunter, Echo and Wrecker stepping out of the ship. The realisation hits you that they are the only ones now left of the Batch, and the thought makes you sick to your stomach again. You feel like gravity just grew tenfold, and lean with one hand onto your knee, trying to keep your balance, while your other hand comes up to wipe over your face in frustration. Taking deep breaths, you somewhat regain what little composure you have left, and straighten back up.
This base is well hidden, small enough to not get any unwanted attention, but big enough to accommodate the ever growing group of clones that decide to stay after being rescued by Rex and his network from whatever imperial prison they were about to be forgotten in otherwise.
A group of clones, a greeting party, approaches the Marauder, and you immediately spot Rex among them. You know you should be happy to see him. You are happy to see him. Yet you can’t help the despair still seething within you, given recent events. A despair that is slowly turning into rage and something else.
The former captain of the 501st approaches you with hasty steps, reaching out to embrace you in a loving hug, but you take a step back, lifting your hands defensively as if you’re about to shove him away if he gets closer.
“Wha–” is all he manages to say, disappointment and concern clear in his face. Your gaze falls to the ground, your face contorting into a grimace, as you’re feeling too much all at once right now. Rex throws a look over your shoulder to Echo, who is now standing a couple of steps behind you, but the pale clone can’t do much to comfort his brother. He merely shrugs with an apologetic, maybe even sad look, making Rex understand that whatever you’re going through, you need some time to process it. Rex doesn’t need to make a head count either to have an idea of what might have you so upset.
Seeing the hurt in Rex’s eyes at your rejection makes you feel even worse. But you know that if you talk now, you will say something you’ll regret, or burst into tears, or throw up. Maybe all of those, not necessarily in that order. So you hug yourself and push past Rex, quickly making your way inside. You navigate the labyrinth of corridors without a problem; you’ve been calling this place ‘home’ for a couple of months now after all.
You had been the civilian attachment for the 501st for several years. Even back then, you knew there was something between you and Rex. It was only after the Republic fell and you ran that you regretted never telling him how you felt. But luckily the clone went looking for you, as he felt the same way, and you’ve been with him and his group ever since. Every now and then you’d go on missions with the Bad Batch to lend a hand, as had been the case with this last one. Except that now everything has changed. We were so good, you think bitterly, How could everything go so wrong?
With another shaky breath you finally arrive at your and Rex’s shared room. You punch in the code for the door, but it beeps and the light blinks red. You groan, ignoring the looks of two clones passing by, and press the buttons again, more forcefully this time. Again, red light. Now you can feel your whole body trembling, and the tears are stinging behind your eyes. You tilt your head backwards in an attempt to blink them away. A figure appears next to you, and you catch Rex’s blonde hair in the corner of your eye. He reaches out to the panel and punches in the numbers. As far as you can tell it’s the same code you just used, but the light blinks green this time and, with a hydraulic hiss, the door slides open. You give a very dry chuckle, directed at the keypad, and step inside.
With what you feel to be the last remnants of your strength, you make your way to the couch, discarding your jacket, holster and weapons on the way, letting everything fall to the floor without regard. Rex closes the door, and the moment your body makes contact with the cushions, a violent sob runs through your body, making you tremble.
Rex comes to sit next to you, hesitantly placing an arm over your shoulders.
“You wanna talk about it?” he asks gently.
Now your sobs, tears and cries come freely, and your arms clutch tighter around yourself. You look up at Rex, and the room starts spinning. You see his face, and naturally, you’re seeing all their faces.
You can see and hear them so clearly in your mind’s eye, standing behind Rex, laughing and joking without a care in the world. Then, one by one, their faces get crossed out with an aggressive red, and their bodies fall limp, dissolving into dust carried away in the wind.
“I can’t do this anymore,” you finally choke out as another sob rattles through your body.
“What do you mean?” Rex asks earnestly. He sees how badly your hands are shaking and removes his arm from behind you to take your hands in his; they’re icy cold. You hold on for dear life.
“Every time you sent me with the guys to some random planet, I went. We would be out there, risking our neck for whatever pay we could get. And I never complained,” you start retelling and sniffle. “When this whole… thing started, the conspiracy, the guys leaving Cid, I could feel something was gonna go awry but I- I didn’t say or do anything, and now they–”
Another sob, accompanied by a sound somewhere between a pained cry and a furious scream. One of your hands leaves Rex’s warm one to clutch the fabric of your shirt over your chest in a vain attempt to ease the pain in your heart.
“I refuse,” you croak, looking Rex in the eyes with uncharacteristic anger. “I’m not going anywhere anymore Rex. I just can’t. It’s always been one too many losses, but this is the last straw. I’m about to lose it.”
“Take a breath and start at the beginning,” he tries calming you down to have you retell what exactly went down, but you groan in frustration. Tears continue to roll down your cheeks incessantly.
“I can’t lose anyone else, Rex,” you cry, and start counting on your fingers. “Echo. Hardcase. Fives. I mourned them all. Then Echo came back a shell of the man he once was, everything goes to hell, and there’s a carnage between clones and the Jedi. The 501st, Cody, Wolffe, they’re all gone and- and then Crosshair stabs us in the back, and now Tech, he–”
Hunter ordered Wrecker to get Tech up into the car, which was barely hanging on, but with every step he took, the car creaked and hung just a little lower, threatening to break off the cable entirely, sending you all into the abyss below.
You stood next to Omega, holding her so she didn’t fall when Wrecker dared one more step forward. You heard Tech through your comms, urging you to sever the connection hinge. But that would mean the other car, where Tech was attached, would fall off. You shook your head, your brain going at a thousand miles an hour trying to come up with a way to get him back up. The car shook once more as imperial troopers were trying to shoot you all down.
“There is no time, Wrecker,” Tech said with a calmness in his voice that had your thoughts stop abruptly and focus on him; you didn’t like his tone at all.
“Plan 99.”
The blood froze in your veins.
“Don’t do it, Tech!” Wrecker pleaded with his brother.
“When have we ever followed orders,” Tech asked rhetorically as he took his gun into his hand, then pulled off an incredibly precise shot which successfully broke the hinge.
Somewhere in the back of your mind you registered Wrecker and Omega’s yells, but all you could see was Tech falling to his death in slow-motion.
After that, everything was a blur: the car you were in launching forward on the cable, breaking through the building. Picking up an unconscious Omega to get to the ship. Flying back to Ord Mantell. Cid having sold them out. Omega being abducted.
“Tech sacrificed himself so we could escape, but the Empire took Omega,” you finish after remembering all that happened, and you shudder. “I can’t do this anymore. Please, let’s just… stop.”
You look up at Rex with tired, pleading eyes. You don’t think you have tears left to cry. Rex’s expression changes, and is now unreadable.
“What do you mean ‘stop’?” he asks.
“Everything,” you scoff; you thought he would understand. “This little clone saviour game you’re playing. Fighting against the Empire. Let’s just go somewhere really really far away and forget all of this.”
“Clone saviour game?!” Rex is clearly taken aback by your words and leans back slightly in his seat. “Are you listening to yourself? I will not stop and hide.”
Your hand reaches out to his, but he stands up, now standing in front of you.
“We keep fighting for those who got taken away from us on the way, and for everyone that will come after we’re long gone.” He shakes his head at you in disbelief, and grabs your shoulder, perhaps a little too harshly, giving it a squeeze to underline his words. “Everything we’ve done. Everyone we’ve lost. It can’t be for nothing. I won’t let it be for nothing. So please, don’t ask me to give up.”
Your nose scrunches up in rage, and you shake yourself free of his hold, standing up as well.
“Well I’m not genetically programmed like you to be okay with all of this!” you yell at him as you poke him in the chest.
“I’m not ‘okay’ with it!” he retorts firmly, smacking away your hand. “They were my brothers, not yours! At least you were born into a real family; they were the closest thing to a family I’ve ever had.” Rex’s brows are furrowed deeply, he brings down his tone but still speaks with venom lacing his voice. “So you lost a couple of friends throughout the years. I almost lost my whole battalion on Umbara in a single mission, or did you forget about that?”
“Of course not,” you reply, about to add something but he’s quicker. You can see the tears starting to gather in his eyes too.
“Fives died in my arms,” he says and his voice cracks slightly. “As many others did. Do you think my ‘programming’ stops me from feeling all of that pain? Do you think it gets easier for us the more brothers we lose?”
The world comes to a halt around you, the air leaves your lungs and you feel yourself shrinking as he towers over you. Everything you said was true but you chose the truly worst possible words to express what you’re feeling, and you’re already regretting it immensely.
“Do you?!” Rex angrily asks, louder this time, as you didn’t answer.
“No, of course not!” Your hands shoot up to cover your face, and you collapse back on the couch, now wailing.
Rex stays where he stands for a moment, looking at your trembling form. He then groans, frustrated with himself more than with you, and sighs deeply. Taking a seat next to you, his arms find themselves around you and he hugs you tightly. This time you accept the gesture and bury your face into his chest, with no regard of the tears and probably snot you’ll stain his shirt with. Your arms go around his torso, fisting the fabric on his back, pulling him as close as you can.
“You know I mourned them too,” Rex softly says after a while, his head on top of yours. Your sobs start subsiding. “Fives, Hardcase, Jesse, the guys. We mourned them together.”
“I remember,” you say with a sniffle. “I don’t know why I said it like that, I- I’m sorry what I said about the programming thing, Rex.”
“I’m sorry, too,” he apologises and gives the top of your head a kiss. “And I’m sorry about today.”
Pulling back enough to look him in the eyes, you wipe over your face with the back of your sleeve.
“I’m serious, though, about not going on missions anymore,” you repeat, searching his face for any signs of refusal, but you only find understanding. “From now on I’m sticking to your side. Let’s stay put for a while. Please.”
Rex leans in to place a gentle kiss to your cheek and pulls you back to him.
“Okay,” he says. “We’ll figure it out. We always do.”

TBB S2 EP 11: Metamorphosis
right from the get go already looks like cliché horror film intro (this initially made me dislike the ep, mainly bc we have too many bad horror films playing at the cinema where I work rn, but dw I came around)
the music was actually chillingly different than usually and continued into the scene in which Dr. Hamlock was introduced. I liked that, but in a bad way
the closeup on his hand confirms that the Zillo Beast ate it, no this is not up for discussion, Zillo Beast had himself a treat
I'm kinda coming around on Nala Se, ngl
Also for as uneasy Dr. Hamlock makes me, I feel like we're finally getting a high-quality villain on TBB and I'm here for it
BAD BATCH TELLING CID OFF BAD BATCH TELLING CID OFF BAD BATCH TELLING CID OFF
HUNTER WANTING TO CUT CID OFF HUNTER WANTING TO CUT CID OFF HUNTER WANTING TO CUT CID OFF
Cid, being a huge dick:
Me:🤨🤨🖕🖕🖕
I like watching Wrecker show off how smart he is. He knows all the weapons and how to use 'em. Yes. :D.
"Whatever did this wasn't human." <- I find that an interesting sentence, considering this is Star Wars. If this was a show that took place on earth, somewhere where it was unlikely for an animal to be, that line would've been chilling. In Star Wars? Not so much. Humans are only one of many species in that galaxy and while I do believe that clones = humans, via star wars lore, that doesn't apply. Clones are classified as their own species, meaning technically they aren't human. I'm probably over thinking this but whatever, the line struck me as oddly placed
"By yourself?" "Your concern is not warranted. I will be fine." <- ok, Tech ik you got the whole cool, logical, I-know-what-I'm-doing-vibe going on, but I gotta tell you, the person who says that in horror films dies first.
OFC THE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IS KAMINOAN FCK
everytime tech checked what's going on in the hallway I yelled "nO" at him. and then he did it anyway. rude.
The second we first saw it I realised it was the Zillo. I've been wondering when/if it would ever come up again, since the Chancellor did order for it to be cloned when the og episodes aired and then we never saw it again, so the arc felt incomplete.
BUT I LOVED THE ZILLO BEAST ARC SO THIS MADE ME V HAPPY AND V SCARED AND I KNOW IT'S NOT CANON BUT CAN THE ZILLO BEAST PLS GO EAT PALPATINE NOW??? IT DESERVES A TREAT!!!!
Hunter grabbing Omega to protect her from the beast 🥺
Tech's slow "Fascinating." followed by his "Take cover."???? sir u already had me, u didn't need to go harder
Wrecker grabbing Omega to protect her from the explosion🥺
Tech casually causing the explosion
"It ate the crew?" MY POOR BABY
"I can help. I know my way around Kaminoan tech." hmmm omega tryna stay out of the fight? she scared? hmmm Tech whatcha do???
Omega being better with Kaminoan tech than Tech and him just going with it and trusting her expertise. Yes. :D
idk where the "Zillo Beast feeds on energy" thing came from bc that wasn't part of the original arc and kinda threw me off, but alright, they needed a reason for it to grow real fast, I'll take it
they're already fighting the beast and then the empire shows up hhhhhhhh whyyyyyyy
omega just casually pulling the plug on tech's research, I love her
Tech grabbing Omega to protect her from the explosion 2.0 🥺
yes, hello, I'd like to inform you all again that I hate the empire, thank you
Tech allowing Hunter to keep flying even though he is the designated pilot and clearly very skilled. Just shows how much he trusts his leader and brother to keep them save. Love that :))
When the Commandos began rounding up the villagers I immediately knew what it meant and GAH HONSLTY WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS
The Empire only destroyed Kamino to control cloning, not to end it, hm? surprise surprise (these fcking motherfckers i swear)
"Send the data to Echo and Rex. See what they can find out."
....
........
............
YES HUNTER YES SEND THEM THE DATA YES GO WORK WITH ECHO AND REX AND SAVE THE GALAXY YES LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
end of the ep confirms yet again that Dr. Hamlock is a bag of dicks :)
Prime Minister said f you and I'm here for it
and then he brought up Omega and I was not here for it anymore
finally the music during the last shot makes me think that this facility is going to come up again and it will likely be very traumatic and horrible and terrible and um ya. sucks man.
gonna tag @jealous-sloth77 and @saturn-sends-hugs bc I'd love to see their thoughts too :))

umh hi hey i thought i was the only one at the 'the party ended 5 years ago but i'm just finishing rebels' club,, have you finished it?? i did last week and. died. thoughts on the end?? (if u want to yap ofc dw if not) ^^
i did finish it! i finished it last weekend and i was blown away.
at first i was very wary about starting it because it is a children’s show (which most Star Wars cartoons are but this one is specifically targeted towards children) and i wasn’t completely sold on the animation of the characters, but that mindset quickly diminished.
it took until season two for me to actually enjoy it and i think it’s because i loved how mature and vulnerable Ezra became as he got closer to the Ghost Crew.
i knew that Kanan died but when i tell you i was not expecting how he actually died. when his vision was restored for a few seconds so he could see Hera, i absolutely sobbed. i also appreciated how the rest of the crew allowed themselves to grieve and not immediately jump back into the fight. i love that each character was able to grieve in a way that felt right for them.
i’ll be honest, i didn’t watch Rebels before i watched Ahsoka because i “hated cartoons,” so when i got to the last few episodes of the season, everything that was happening in Ahsoka made so much sense so i’m very excited to rewatch it!
now to answer your question 😅
the very last episode left me speechless and i was so proud of Ezra for realizing that his lesson wasn’t finished and he did what he knew he needed to do. he left. of course i was very sad to see him leave and i was so sad for the Crew, but just knowing that his family loves him and is so proud of him (and that we see him again in Ahsoka), is enough for me.
(i’m talking as if these characters are real life people, ignore me. i get too attached lol).
after every Star Wars cartoon my sisters and i finish watching, we always rank them.
my rankings before i watched Rebels:
- The Bad Batch, The Clone Wars, Rebels.
my rankings after i watched Rebels:
- Rebels, The Bad Batch, The Clone Wars.
when i tell you i was shocked when i realized i loved Rebels more than The Bad Batch?????? i was very shocked because you’ll have to pry TBB out of my cold dead hands.
i’m so sorry this answer got out of hand 😅 but thank you so much for asking!! How did you like the show and the ending?
- L
