While I can’t force myself to draw (and I don’t have many ideas at the moment.) I do wanna share a few ideas for the Sonic Mecha AU that I’ve had floating around in my head for a while.

The AU is still mostly inspired by SGRB, but I’ve been wanting to stray from that show a bit more, just for more ideas. Still unsure about a lot of things, but I have a pretty good idea for the most part.

S0N1C is a 20(ish) foot robot created by MilesElectric to help deal with the ever growing problem that is Dr. Robotnik and his various machines. He has a fully conscious and adaptive AI system, allowing him to adapt on the fly, and also just be an overall nice dude.

Having to deal with other machines, he’s gifted with an incredibly powerful core, as well as superspeed. While this does help defeat near any obstacle in his way, it also makes him require almost constant stimulation. If not, he will find ways to stimulate himself, often being annoying to those around him. Usually he just runs around to alleviate it.

Unfortunately, one day, his overeagerness and hyperactivity caused him to do a dangerously stupid stunt and attempt to go as fast as he possible, causing him to somehow travel near 10 years in the future.

Miles ‘Tails’ Prower, owner of MilesElectric, both designed and built Sonic from the ground up. Though he’s technically a dad of sorts to him, Sonic views him more of a ‘younger’ brother (mostly due to how small he is compared to him.) Being the kid genius, he usually stays behind the console and help guide along the mission. He does help on the feild from time to time.

Knuckles the Echidna has acted more of a role model/brother figure in Tails’ life. Aside from schooling, he has physically trained him, so he could hold his own in a fight. Outwardly he seems kinda hostile, but he’s actually a big sweetheart deep down. During action, he’s there to also help guide in the missions, as well as talk sense into the group. He actually was the person to suggest creating another robot in order to keep Dr. Robotnik and his robots at bay.

SH4D0W is a 20(ish) foot robot created by G. U. N. in order to manage Dr. Robotnik. While he has similar attributes in not only physical appearance as well as overall design, he has some drastic changes. Aside from his darkened and more threatening colour scheme, he is a no nonsense brute who gets the job done, he almost never acts like his own person, despite having the capabilities to do so. He has a job, and he wants to stick with it, it’s only when S0N1C comes back when he finally starts to loosen up.

As well, his speed and strength is limited in order to not let another mishap happen again. His speed is capped at around Mach 1, though he usually stays slower, especially in towns and cities. He doesn’t care that he can’t go faster. Though his ego does get bruised a bit when Sonic goes faster than him. Being made from G. U. N, most of what went into creating him has been kept a secret, Tails is the only one outside of G. U. N. with access to his blueprints, and even then, a lot is redacted. Still, it doesn’t hinder repairs or anything on the field.

This is so sweet I'm dying. I'm deceased. Killed. Rambling it is.

“I get why Sasuke-teme had to leave Konoha, Tobi-sensei. He has to keep walking forward with his precious people, and all the bad people in Konoha just bring out the teme in him. Even if I don’t like it…” Naruto’s expression fell, but resolution rose strongly in him too. “But there’s people in Konoha I just can’t abandon. That means I can’t abandon Konoha, and I can’t give up on it. Somebody has to stay and make it better. I won’t run away. I’ll give Konoha a second chance, and me and my friends are going to make it into a place as great as Sakuragakure. I’ll make Konoha into a place that Sasuke-teme can come home to.” Naruto nodded firmly, implacable. “Kakashi-sensei feels the same way. Konoha’s our home. You and Sasuke-teme really hate Konoha, but Kakashi-sensei and I are going to make it into a home you can like again! So you guys can come visit us! Okay?”

Naruto doesn't have a huge role in this story. Of course, he's also the most important character. Everything in the story turned on his fulcrum - on the actions that he hadn't taken yet, born from the resolve of a man who was still a boy. He saved the day, not through his own actions, but through the ripple effect that his actions had on the world and the people within it. He also has no idea. He also can't read.

Naruto Uzumaki is not particularly interested in a utopia. He's not interested in much beyond ramen and becoming the Hokage and Sasuke. He's not interested in the weight of someone's sins and their potential for redemption, despite being ninja Jesus. I think Naruto only cares about if you want to be a good dude - and if you don't want to be a good dude today, if you'll want to be a good dude tomorrow.

Both Naruto and Sasuke were hurt badly by Konoha. It was important that Sasuke leave Konoha - that he be able to leave the world that hurt him, and find a happier new home. But it was important that Naruto stay too - that there was somebody who was willing to take his crap world by the horns and fix what already exists, to make his world a better place. I think both types of people are necessary, and that the ability to make the choice is necessary too. You can't create a better world by playing by the rules of a broken system, but you can't create a better world by giving up on it either.

I think while reading Naruto you have to kinda go, 'damn bitch stop trying to over perform just to earn the right to exist, their acceptance will always be conditional'. You can't Hokage people into loving you. But you can't create a better world by sticking a bunch of orphans in a tree, either. To me, Naruto is the necessary person who wants to fix what he has.

Obito does not understand that. He's convinced that he understands the gospel of Naruto very well. He does not. At all. He willfully misinterprets it, because it doesn't reinforce what Obito needs to believe. It doesn't let him feel what he wants to feel.

If he did understand it, he would realize something extremely obvious: that Naruto had been able to save Obito because of Naruto's own suffering, not despite it. Obito hypothesizes that suffering creates bad people, but Naruto utilized his own suffering as a tool for empathy and compassion. By Obito's own reasoning, Naruto is a 'dirty person' who wouldn't belong in the own utopia that he inspired. He's trying to build a heaven that Ninja Jesus wouldn't be welcome in. It's a massive logical flaw that Obito knows exists and blatantly ignores.

Why does Obito ignore this? Because it undermines his whole nihlistic, absolutist, deterimistic worldview, mostly. But also because that would imply that people with narrative parallels to Naruto might, hypothetically, deserve to be saved, and would have a place in Utopia. And, like, ya know, can't have that.

The Lambchop World is so fascinating and cool… but I’d like to know more about it as well! What’s the economy like there? Do people still have jobs, buy and sell stuff like supplies, clothing, food, etc… just like they do in Stella’s town?

(Also, speaking of which.., is everyone’s wardrobe that emo/gothic? Did Lambchop force it to be? Because I love Stella but those clothes are REALLY not her style! I really hope that Lambchop didn’t force her into wearing them… that’s leaning a bit too much into “toxic relationship power imbalance” for me)

What’s the general attitude of the population? Are they all violent, bloodthirsty and prickly besides Stella or do some of them retain their normal personalities? Do they lean in more towards their “animalistic” side (like Ruuuby eating Buck) or do they still eat normal food? …WHERE would they get normal food? Is it all meat and cannibalism??

Also, assuming that Lambchop goes after the whole WORLD instead of just a small village like Stella did… is death common there? Or does Lambchop resurrect them to “have some more fun” on his planet? Are his powers that of a normal Star witch as well? I’m so curious if it is!

And finally… what are Stella and Lambchop’s roles and relationship on this planet? Lambchop seems to live just like a common “resident” of that planet… getting into riots, street fights, etc. What does Stella do though? Is she just Lambchop’s personal nurse who takes care of him after he gets into fights or something?

This seems to be an anarchic world, so I doubt that their’ll be a government or any form of legal system there.., but I am curious if there is some sort of “gang hierarchy” on this place, like the most respected fighters are the rulers of certain territories and clans or something. It’ll make sense for his world, and I wonder if he’s in the “top hierarchy” or something like that, considering that he literally CREATED the world lol. Do the other residents have respect or are intimidated by him? What do they think of Stella?

P.S: Kinda a dumb question but are Stella and Lambchop in a relationship in this AU? Do they date and have a house (or a joint living area maybe) and live together or something? How do they treat each other? I like to think that Lambchop treats Stella…well, like allowing her a small garden to plant some flowers and have a semblance of normalcy in their home. Kind of like how Stella bloodied up her village for Lambchop, but much less drastic.

And for the million-dollar question: What on EARTH are the other Star Witches when Stella needs them??? Did they abandon her or something?

These are A LOT of questions, I’ll admit… Im rly sorry if this is too much :( But I’m just so curious about this world; the idea is absolutely fascinating to me!! Thank u sm for reading all this!! :D

-The economy is a bit strange. I think some people still kinda have jobs and make money, but money alone is probably not valued as much as "substances" or "favors" (Ex: "Get that fucker out of my bar and you'll get free drinks for the whole night" )

-Everyone's wardrobe is pretty emo-gothic, but I wouldn't describe it as a "Lambchop forced it to be" situation so much as. In the vision of Lambchop's perfect world this is just how society dresses. And so Stella dressing like this is more of a societally pressured thing. For one, there's probably not other clothing options. And if there is, dressing in a way that strays from the norm would be like affixing a giant target to her back--everyone would be trying to start shit with her. It's safer to blend in so people don't think you're soft.

-Most everyone is pretty prickly. And if they are "nice", it's a kind of niceness that incorporates violence into the mix--otherwise you'd be down for the count. Everyone's probably on "high defense mode" all the time and is just waiting for you to be the one that growls first.

-Most food is probably meat based. I don't imagine that everyone is just eating whoever they slaughter on the street (though some might) but rather there's some mysterious "meat processing" plants. Where's the meat come from? Don't spoil it by asking questions.

-I don't think Lambchop has any sort of special/magic powers that set him aside from everyone else. I think it's less of a "Lambchop controlling the world to be this way" and more of "The world itself shaping itself around his desires." Death is pretty common, though I hadn't considered the possibility of people coming back in this version too...interesting to think about.

-I think the possibility of some gang hierarchies exist, but I hadn't put too much thought into it. I do think some people might be more well-known either for being really good fighters and/or for starting trouble a lot. I feel like Lambchop wouldn't be the most well-known but might have a bit of a rep for being able to take people down.

-Combining some of your Stella questions into one, Stella's relationship with the planet is pretty...fraught. I think she's still got magic powers but they're nowhere near the the level of skill she's got in Sweet No Death. At most she can perform small magic, making things grow, levitating some smaller objects, etc. I feel like Stella's status as a star witch is vague even to herself--like maybe she got amnesia upon landing here, but she knows that things could surely be better than this... Stella tries to help people and sometimes they accept it and sometimes they don't, but when they do allow her to help she feels good inside and it helps restore a bit of her hope in the world.

I like to imagine that maybe Lambchop and Stella found each other when Stella was attempting to "fix" things instead of breaking them like everyone else, and Lambchop was a bit captivated by how different she was from everyone else. Stella would in turn see him as different from everyone else--less prickly, more smiley, and likes her company.

I think Lambchop and Stella are dating. They live in some dank, decrepit apartment building which probably isn't even owned by anyone anymore and they might be the only people in it. Stella's got something of a greenhouse on the balcony where she grows as many little plants as she can keep alive and can enjoy the feeling of fresh air for once.

Despite the general violence of the city and Lambchop preferring things this way, he and Stella have a pretty lovey relationship. They sleep in the same bed all cuddled up next to each other every night. If Stella is having a bad mental day (can't handle the stress of everything, being worried something really bad will happen to Lambchop if he goes out, etc) Lambchop will stay home with her and they'll spend the day snuggling and kissing and maybe working in her greenhouse. When Stella goes out Lambchop usually tries to be beside her. She's able to defend herself but he knows she doesn't *like* having to do that, so he doesn't mind being her bodyguard for anyone who would want to pick a fight with her. Sometimes they even try to go on dates outside despite how crazy everything is. When Lambchop gets into fights Stella bandages all his wounds when he gets hurt. She hates seeing him hurt but she loves seeing his smile as he recounts to her how he won. I think she uses whatever magic she has to help expedite his healing process.

-As for Star Witches, the thing about Star Witches is like...they are catty and judgemental but if you are another Star Witch they will not help you improve unless it benefits them in some way. They will come into your house and might adjust a crooked picture frame on the wall, but they won't clean up your kitchen or tidy up your living room or do your yard work for you. If they were to see a world like this they would not help it try to get better because it is not their monkeys, not their circus.

Ok. So of all the redesigns. circus baby's deffo took the longest. the others each took around ~5 hours and circus baby's took. ten. mostly because of the excessive amount of detail i gave her. she's the main character! she needed way more detail!

so. anyways! i made her much more clowny! her name is circus baby, and her original design was barely a clown besides the face and the shoes!! so i upped it by a thousand, and now she's much more circus-y! she also needed a fun hat because i think the clown hat is very important and essential. for everything.

along with that she's covered in glitter! how r u gonna have a voice line of hers be "i was covered in glitter" and NOT cover her in glitter! so now? all her clothes sparkle!

out of all the funtimes i think her and funtime freddy are the largest because they both have to be proportional to their large internal systems, funtime freddy having the storage tank and circus baby having her "ice cream" machine. so for funzies and be she's so large her eyes r up really high!! cause.. nobody's gonna be viewing her from head on. so if she looks down at some kid or smthn, she looks more normal!!

like the other funtimes she still has all her original features!! i didn't know how to show an emergency stop thing though so she still has that, but it's probably. like. a button or something somewhere. also the tips of her fingers are the balloon makers !!

she also has a lot details that are really hard to see but like.. i thought they'd be fun to add!! one of those is sliver of blue in her eyes as a reference to her original eye color :)

her hair, like ballora's, is synthetic cause it adds more movement! and her most of her clothes are real. her hands, legs, and feet are rubber though.. so the gloves and socks are not real :( the ruffles on every part of her outfit were also very important and very necessary to the fnaf lore and not just be i like drawing ruffles!!

so inside her internal compartment are a supply of balloons, cake perfume (“i smelled like birthday cake”), ice cream, ice cream cones, an ice cream holder, and the scooper. to stay inside the scoopers all folded up in there like a really painful jack-in-the-box, so the internal compartment is really cramped and does not leave much room for anything else. it's kinda more a "murk on sight" thing rather than a "kill and contain" like funtime freddy because there simply isn't enough room for storing anything else.

also while i was making this i was thinking of a scrap baby design to maybe create in the future, but im probably not going to 😭😭 but. Scrap babies hair would be yarn and her face would be paper plates or something cause she raided a craft store. Idk where she got the roller skates but in this au scrap baby robbed a craft store.

I've been working on a ttrpg inspired by Hades and Kill 6 Billion Demons, modifying my Lumen game, Luminous Vein. It's definitely still early in the process, and I have so many projects that this one is a bit on the backburner, in part because I hate figuring out random generation and it'd feel more right to have a more official vibe to it with art & stuff. Anyway I do however think some of it is cool as hell so I put out a poll asking people what they'd like to hear about; you guys chose my problematic trans rep, who I dont have much to say about that I didn't already put in its description, so I'll just put it in full:

Hollow, Goddess of Rot

It/its, she/her, they/them

Feared among mortals to its elation, Hollow is a heavy shadow of positivity in the pantheon of gods. It loves trying to find new ways to disgust and horrify mortals, sometimes going so far as to create minor planes to trap them in and play with them. It, however, is not a real threat to anyone; her domain only ever affects those that have already died.

While plenty of wildlife loves her, human cults are rare to form, but those that do are often social outcasts, finding beauty in not just the way rot provides new life, but to death on its own merit.

Hollow is the shambling corpse of the first dead god, born in the abyss that could not be filled by anyone else. Its skin is grey and thin, tearing at the joints; its eyes have long been forgotten by physical existence; its form is too old and rotted to make out what the dead god once looked like. There's a gaping hole in the center of her neck, leaving its voice whispy, almost pained. They have a series of spindly, metal legs modeled by Eralth, the God of Craft, to support their slowly withering divine legs. Smaller beings of rot reside in the fungi and holes growing around their flesh. Hollow is extremely proud of the body they claimed, and, even as the gods respond to her presence with discomforted silence at best, they will all admit that she shows more joy than the first dead god ever did, or most other gods in the pantheon, for that matter.

Hollow loves dead things and is, therefore, happy to help runners escape hell so they can fulfill their full potential as dead things. She only shows confusion when asked for clarification.

Core Mechanic: Rot

When enemies inflicted with rot die, their bodies will remain to fight alongside you, becoming undead. Undead have the same actions made on the GM turn, but directed at enemies, and their health is based on how much rot you inflicted on them.

Boons of Hollow:

Rotting Wounds: Your weapon attacks inflict 1 rot

Trail of Death: Inflict 3 rot when you move away from an enemy

Decay: When you kill an enemy with an attack requiring 2 actions, they are given 1 rot

Spores: Your cast inflicts 2 rot to all enemies in Close range of the target.

Contagion: All undead attacks inflict 1 rot.

Self-Actualization: You can choose to target actions or casts on yourself, dealing harm but giving you any included rot effects as well.

Angry Dead: All undead deal +1 harm

Slough: Living targets inflicted with rot will take +1 harm.

I'm not entirely sure how many possible boons I want the gods to have, Hades has a massive swathe of them but it turns out that can be kinda hard. I might add more mechanics to the core combat system to play with, the big issue I'll have to deal with is the randomness and the fact that the upgrades aren't weapon specific

Before Being with His Darling

Before being with his Darling, Bowser would display typical yandere stalking behavior. He would watch them from afar, learning their routines and preferences. He might kidnap them multiple times under the guise of wanting their company, each time trying to convince them that they belong together. His schemes to bring them closer would become more elaborate and desperate over time, with Bowser justifying his actions as being for their own good.

With His Darling

Once he has his Darling, Bowser's yandere tendencies would become more pronounced and intense:

1. Constant Surveillance: Bowser would have his minions keep a close watch on his Darling at all times. He would install surveillance systems in his castle to monitor their every move, ensuring they never leave his sight.

2. Emotional Manipulation: Bowser would use emotional manipulation to make his Darling dependent on him. He would shower them with affection and gifts, creating a sense of gratitude and indebtedness. At the same time, he would isolate them from friends and family, making them feel like he is the only one they can rely on.

3. Displays of Affection: His affection would be overwhelming and, at times, suffocating. Bowser would be physically affectionate, always wanting to hold, hug, or kiss his Darling. He would also be verbally affectionate, constantly reminding them of his love and devotion.

4. Punitive Measures: If his Darling tries to escape or defies him, Bowser's response would be severe. He would not hesitate to punish them, either by restricting their freedom further or using more drastic measures to ensure they understand the consequences of their actions.

These acts, while seemingly romantic, would also serve to reinforce his dominance and control over his Darling.

Conclusion

Bowser as a yandere would be a terrifying and complex mix of obsession, possessiveness, and aggression, all driven by a twisted sense of love and devotion. His actions, while stemming from genuine affection, would be extreme and often dangerous, making him a truly formidable yandere.

BONUS:

The Mushroom Kingdom was unusually quiet that evening, a stillness hanging in the air as the residents went about their business. Princess Peach had just returned to her castle after a day of visiting her subjects. She was unaware of the looming danger as Bowser, the King of the Koopas, prepared yet another plot to kidnap her.

From the shadows, Bowser's keen eyes locked onto the castle. His heart pounded with excitement, not just from the thrill of the chase, but also from the prospect of finally having Peach in his grasp again. He motioned to his minions, who began their silent approach.

As they neared the castle, Bowser noticed something that made his heart skip a beat. Standing in the courtyard, admiring the sunset, was his true obsession: his Darling. The sight of her took his breath away. He hadn't expected to see her here, and the thought of her being so close yet out of reach drove him mad with desire.

Abandoning his original plan, Bowser signaled his minions to change course. His eyes never left his Darling as he stealthily approached. His massive form cast a shadow over her, and she turned, her eyes widening in shock.

"B-Bowser?!" she stammered, taking a step back.

A twisted smile spread across Bowser's face. "Well, well, what a pleasant surprise," he rumbled, his voice a mix of genuine affection and sinister intent. "Forget Peach. You're coming with me."

Before she could react, Bowser's large, clawed hand reached out and grabbed her, lifting her effortlessly off the ground. She struggled in his grip, but it was futile. Bowser's hold was firm, and his eyes glinted with a dangerous mix of possessiveness and excitement.

"Let go of me!" she cried, fear and anger in her voice.

Bowser's smile only widened. "Oh no, my dear. I can't let you go. You're mine now."

With a swift movement, Bowser turned and began to retreat to his castle, his Darling still struggling in his grasp. The Koopas followed, ensuring no one interfered. As they made their way back to Bowser's domain, he couldn't help but feel a twisted sense of satisfaction. His Darling was finally with him, and he would never let her go.

As they reached the safety of his fortress, Bowser set her down gently but kept a firm grip on her wrist. "Welcome to your new home," he said, his voice softening slightly. "You'll learn to love it here. And you'll learn to love me."

His Darling's eyes filled with a mix of defiance and fear, but Bowser knew he had all the time in the world to make her see things his way. After all, in his twisted mind, this was a love story—one where she had no choice but to play her part.

If you are new and confused how tumblr works I highly suggest create a post that says “I’m new here and still learning how tumblr works”. That way at least there is less of a chance of being reported for being a bot

Tumblr does not work the way instagram does. If you only like posts your dash will be empty. Tumblr content survives on user interaction. Reblog posts. Interact with other users like for example if you see art you like put “you art is pretty” in the tags. The more interaction a post gets the more likely creators will post more. Liking a post will not help spread posts around. The like button doesn’t actually do much. Reblogging is the most important way to interact here. But feel free to talk in the tags related to a post. Many users used the tags to put their opinions or jokes on posts while not wanting it visible to everyone. Tags are kinda like a hidden feature the only people who can see your tags are you followers and the original poster. It is pretty normal here to comment in the tags.

Follower count or fame doesn’t matter here. We are all anonymous internet peoples who are equal. Doesn’t matter if u got one or thousands of followers. Follower count is not visible to anyone but yourself

Discourse is stupid don’t start any. Block out any tags you don’t like or block users that annoy you.

The tagging system here can be a bit shit at times but it’s the best we got. Never tag a post with tags unrelated to the post! That will be marked as spam. Tags should be used to help users filter for the content that is on it. Unlike instagram tagging a post with a million random popular tags will not get your post more popular it will just annoy a lot of people.

Because the ages of our members are mixed between minors and adults we do have a rule against explicit nsfw content until I (owner) am over 18, jokes are fine though. Once I am 18 we can make a separate 18+ area for nsfw content. Until then for everyone's safety and comfort, it's a no.

We have several channels specifically for creating content, and roles for those who want to stay updated on the creating of said content. Hello! Im finally sending another science thing! studying zoology Im back at my intial believe, I used to believe in the kingdom classifications as any young biologist would. Then I started believing in the domain classifications. And now im like, non clade taxonomy doesnt make any sense

so even the newly published paper asking for an empire or even a 3 life taxonomy structures are just.. trying to tape over the old sciences I dont see a pro of a non clade taxonomy structure It only made sense before we started DNA sequencing life bc now we know that life only was created once in the entire history of Earth. So everything evolved from one thing So have a taxonomy where there different types of life from the start is.. wrong

It only helps to keep the non scientific terms alive. Bc if we dont have the hierchy taxonomy we cant call only specific animals what we call them like cats wont be just the things we casually call cats if we adopt a clade structure And humans would be monkeys and apes depending on which clade u go back to

From what I read so far, biologists already use clade classifications in research. And microtaxonomists neontologists handle the kingdom classifcations later And im kinda fine with that, but I wouldnt use the kindgoms in my head atleast

honestly? the traditional biological ranking system sucks. i mean, its okay, but cladistics give the viewer much more information about what am organism is and how theyre related to others imo.

it also offers much greater room for nuance like in the case of birds and crocadillians. in traditional taxonomy, or at least the way i was taught in school, birds fall under class aves and crocadilians under class reptilia. this, ofc, implies crocadillians are closer related to other traditional reptilians than they are to birds, which isnt true. a cladistic approach, imo, is better suited to reflect those actual relationships.

Of course, this does lead to some interesting conclusions since, cladistically, once an organism is something, it will never stop being that thing. For example, this means all tetrapods are technically fish. However, personally I would not consider that a flaw but moreso a feature. After all, when would tetrapods stop being fish? There's no good point where you can accurately say they aren't that isn't super arbitrary. theres more to be said, but im tired so ill leave it at this for now

i really like this one theory i saw here that brought up the idea that rainbow isn't really desmond's "shadow." or at least, he wasn't originally, and isn't JUST desmond's shadow.

because when you compare rainbow to the other characters' shadows, he's VERY different from all of them. the other shadows often felt like they were one and the same as the people they represented the negative parts of. rainbow meanwhile feels entirely unique from desmond. some notable differences being his disdain for cats (whereas desmond clearly loves cats), he plays piano instead of guitar, and heck, dude also seems to be a way better artist than desmond is, when you compare the various doodles he includes on his notes to the faces desmond drew for the mannequins.

thinking about my spin on what exactly rainbow's deal is. maybe he was an entirely new consciousness that came into being as a result of so many people's minds becoming connected by the rainbow chemical. all that mental energy just kinda... coalesced into a brand new entity.

and then, for whatever reason, he found and attached himself to desmond. desmond's mind definitely influenced the way rainbow appears in the mindscape, and maybe his personality didn't fully solidify until he "settled down" in desmond's head. maybe he took on the role of desmond's "shadow" as the main thing the chemical was being used for was inducing extreme fear/mentally breaking people by bringing out their "shadows" to the forefront. he took on the role of desmond's shadow and also a representation of the psychoactive chemical that more or less created him. he did steal its name for himself, so.

basically, rather than truly being desmond's shadow, he's more like a... mental parasite, i guess you could say.

...and comparing him to a parasite feels pretty apt, imo. having him around actually helped desmond, in the end, and they do say that having parasites can actually be beneficial, as they help to calm down an over-active immune system and such. all the pushing and prodding rainbow had been giving desmond's brain finally pushed des to get his act together.

also, when considering the "not really a shadow but a mental parasite" idea, maybe a reason rainbow's so worried about mayer being stopped and the rainbow chemical being rid of, is because it might mean he'll be gone, too. if he truly was just desmond's shadow, then yeah he would still definitely be a permanent part of desmond's mind. but if he's actually something foreign, that was only able to get into desmond's head due to the chemical agent? then i could see why he'd have concerns about... being evicted, so to speak.

that said, i think des' brain has been so damn saturated in the stuff (that 'brain pulsing' comment at the end) that his brain chemistry has likely been forever changed, and rainbow might not actually have to worry about no longer getting to live rent-free in there. (especially if he continues to push the idea that oh yeah he's totally a natural part of desmond's mind, same as anybody else's shadow, don't worry about it, please put the mental de-wormer away, it's fiiiiiine.)

kinda but maybe not really?-related: i dunno if i just missed a note or failed to trigger some dialogue, but as far as i can tell, rainbow never seems to acknowledge rosemary, even once? like, not even when she completely foils his attempt at wasting desmond's time in the crypt. he never offers any reaction to that. and like, i feel like he couldda used her as further demotivation for desmond, like "if even the head researcher for this project was murdered for trying to stop it, what makes you think YOU'LL fair any better?" or something like that, but no. he never says or writes a word about rosemary.

discussing aftercare is less of a question of “will this happen?” and more a “how will this happen?” aftercare isn’t just for sex or kink, it’s for everything; emotionally intense conversations, stress after a long day, etc.

aftercare can be anything from a short conversation, getting someone things to clean off with, getting someone a drink or a snack, a bunch of different stuff.

one thing i’d recommend like for you personally that you can do regardless of if your partner knows or not; have an item of clothing or a blanket or a stim toy or something that you can have with you for aftercare purposes. it’s a discreet way to provide aftercare for yourself and if you get in the habit of only using that item for aftercare, your brain will adjust to associating it with aftercare time.

that being said, though there are things like that you can do to give yourself aftercare, it’s also absolutely non negotiable for your partners to also give you aftercare if you need it.

ways to initiate a convo abt aftercare post-sex specifically are just to be like “hey, we should create a system of things we do for each other after sex.”

I've. Thought about this plenty of times but I've never actually come up with a team I'm fully satisfied with </3 nevertheless that won't stop me from sharing some thoughts !!

So first of all because I seriously need to get this out of my system. I need to introduce you to the idea of Victini. Everyone needs to understands this but Leo definitely has a Victini !!!!! From the color palette to the cheerful personality. The fact that Victini tends to do double peace signs just like Leo's "uchuu" and how it being the victory pokémon actually ties into Leo's story.

His story is (in extremely simplified terms) very dependant on victories; from his downfall directly correlated to his victory during the events of Checkmate to his entire !! arc very much being an entire win on a more personal level. Sometimes for better sometimes for worse; but he's always been followed by these victories, and it is said that trainers with Victini always win !!

As well as (although this is a bit of a personal take, but still somewhat based on canon traits) the fact that fire types just really suit Leo in general. And this allows for a nice opposites dynamic with Sena like the one they have in canon, since I picture Sena as a (mainly) water/ice type trainer.

ALSO VICTINI ACTUALLY HAS ITS OWN DAY ON MAY 5TH WHICH IS GUESS WHAT ??? LEO'S BIRTHDAY. YUP (I will never not be insane about this one)

All that being said, I just really vibe with the idea of Leo having a mythical pokémon because they're. Just like him !!! They're these rare and incredibly special creatures that have such fantastic powers, what else is more fitting for a genius like Leo ??

Speaking of mythicals? Meloetta !! Next pokémon he'd have is Meloetta :3 I think most of it is quite self explanatory. The melody pokemon ??? Yup that's a Leo mon if I've ever seen one. The pokedex entry reads "the melodies sung by Meloetta have the power to make Pokémon that hear them happy or sad" and well ~ I think Leo would most definitely use that to his advantage to make as many people as possible happy.

I also do think Meloetta's sweet personality pairs up well with him since he really just wants to make everyone feel good <3

Now. Next I'd like to tackle your suggestion because you're right !! And I definitely agree. Although Oricorio is more inspired by dancing, I picture one of them would be interested in Leo's music, perhaps wanting to dance to it and would probably end up being dragged into his party.. but its not complaining! It has music to dance to all day after all.

I think Leo would be the kind of trainer to go out of his way to get the nectar needed just so his Oricorio can change forms. Although I think the pompom form is the most fitting for him (and it matches his cheerleader card), he would never willingly try to keep any of his mons confined to one form, in fact he will encourage changing it as much as the little guy wants !!! He's incredibly happy that his Oricorio loves music as much as him and that it wants to express itself through it.

Now onto the next one !! He definitely has a Litleo (heh litleo) because well. First of all he's already lion coded and it's a fire type !! Also Litleo are said to abandon their pride once they evolve to create their own, which kinda makes me reminisce about his story again. Abandoning everything to evolve and become a greater version of himself who can now build his own family (knights) :3

It also fits well aesthetically, which isn't something that particularly bothers me since I prefer these to have a deeper meaning, but it's always a nice touch.

I think his Litleo would be male, although he doesn't care whatsoever because he loves the little thing regardless lol but I imagine it would evolve into a Pyroar around this time in canon, probably during Knights' climax.

Annnnd last one off the top of my head is Fletchling !! I actually have a lot of thought put into his Fletchling's evolution because I think it would be one of if not his first pokémon.

Now the main reasons I'd pair them up are 1. Fletchling being based on a robin. Again related to his story since he's referred to as one (and other kinds of birds) multiple times and associated with bird related metaphors and 2. it being a fire type because like I said, I think fire types fit Leo really well. Plus, I also think a flying type is a must have for someone as free spirited as him.

I picture he would catch Fletchling pretty early on and it would forcefully (too fast from too much battling) evolve into a Fletchinder during the events of the war, causing it to start disobeying him and acting up. Leo would then regain control of it after coming back in his 3rd year (after his shutdown). Annnnd it would later on evolve into a Talonflame around the same time as his Litleo :3

That's kinda what I do! I take concepts and things that I think would work in a tabletop setting that either originate or were made popular by video games!

Neon Nights was heavily inspired by Fallout's perk system (P.E.R.K.S still slated for this year btw), MOURN and the upcoming GRIM are inspired by DOOM and Quake's approach respectively, but the rest do have their roots in either DnD standard play OR what I liked to call "Relaxed Play" where there are already boons and flaws to characters based on who they select (kinda think of the difference between playing a Stealth Archer in Skyrim vs. selecting a character / weapon in a rogue like game like Hades, or the survivor likes.

I wanna make a game like the Binding of Isaac though where you and your allies explore a labyrinth or something and there's just an ABSURD amount of items that impact your stats, making way for broken builds.

Also, an idea where you play a character that has a ton of passive effects that just happen when you move your character on a plain, like a Survivors game.

Idk. I think it's come full circle where TTRPGs and board games paved the way for video games, and now that TTRPGs have kinda risen in popularity (imo have kinda stagnated this year, maybe I'm wrong), that video games are an incredible resource for game development for board games and TTRPGs.

Hmm... I think it was Pokémon via YT videos when I was 8 years old LMAO though I don't really know what made me want to stay? I think I REALLY got into fandom when I was 12 and started to get into Undertale, and with that came the terrible mistake of making a Reddit acc when I was 13 lol

YOU SEE it kinda depends. My very first OC is not really an OC in the traditional sense, just the character I played in a table top RPG with my dad, his friends and my sister, that I created basic lore for and just kinda expanded as time went on. I think I could answer this in a lot of different ways (there's my Witchsona for TOH that I made just because but then kinda didn't care about anymore, some silly little guys I made in class when I was 10 to play pretend with a friend of mine, a Terraria character, etc.) but the more interesting answer imo is that the cast of Foggy Glasses and Corroded Copper (the furry ocs I'm always yapping about) came from me wanting to explore a friend of mine's magic system and using that to mess with tropes and concepts I really like, like Shounen-esque rivalries and unrequited crushes
