A new neighbor has moved in

I am just as devastated as the next person about Bobby and Athena’s house being burned down but think about the possibilities! Walk with me here. Bobby spending 90% of his time on Real Estate websites when he’s not plotting how to get the 118 back from Gerrard. Athena noticing that his searches get gradually further away from metropolitan LA until one day, Bobby very happily shoves the laptop in front of her face and there’s a listing for a very cute looking ranch-style property. “And it’s only an hours drive on the freeway, Athena!” Athena’s initially resistant because since when has Bobby ever expressed interest in living on a ranch and also she is a city girl through and through, but Bobby finally convinces her to come view the property with him and fuck, it’s actually kinda perfect. It’s in their price range, with a lovely big house that’s got 4 bedrooms (one for them, one for Harry, one for May, and a guest room/ office), the kitchen is massive and rustic and Bobby’s like a kid in a candy shop the whole time, just bouncing around this place like an energised toddler (“it has a walk in pantry, Athena!”) and Athena starts unconsciously planning the furniture layout and some renovations. And then, and then, Bobby takes her outside and the back yard is absolutely gorgeous; there’s a patio that’s got a barbecue, a stone pizza oven, a fire pit (one outside this time), there’s so much room and space and Athena can feel herself gradually falling in love. And it’s got TWO WHOLE PADDOCKS! The opportunities are endless! They go home and she tries to act indifferent but Bobby finds her looking at the listing again and going through their finances, scoping out the local area, checking her commute time into work. They talk about it a couple more times, during which Bobby mentions the fact that he’s always wanted to own horses and he misses having chickens like he did when he was little in Minnesota, and honestly it’s her husband’s insistence and pure joy that ends up convincing her. She’s got one condition though: she gets a bunny rabbit. It’s a non-negotiable. If Bobby wants the house, Athena gets a rabbit. Bobby agrees, so they end up putting in a tentative offer, slightly under what they think it could go for, but miracle upon miracles, it gets accepted!! They finally tell the 118 (who respond with a variety of reactions, most of which being “you bought a what??”) and a few weekends later, they’re moving in their few worldly possessions, as well as setting up all the furniture Bobby impulsively ordered one night when Buck was over and pulled up a few furniture stores. Athena starts building a rabbit hutch, which turns into something more like a rabbit castle cause she’ll only have the best for her baby, and she gets her rabbit, who she names Hercules. He spends a fair chunk of time inside, on her lap as she rubs his ears. Bobby ends up buying a whole flock of hens, and a rooster that he names Maurice (and he’s never seen Tommy back up quite as quickly as he did when Buck showed him the chickens with a shit eating grin on his face). Eddie and Buck help to build a massive vegetable garden which Bobby fills with herbs and vegetables and flowers. He wants a dog, but Athena won’t allow it cause 1. She’s allergic and 2. Hercules doesn’t like dogs apparently. So he gets two horses instead, a mare and a gentle old gelding and spends his days off riding the horses (he does hire someone to care for the horses when he can’t) and tending to his garden and cooking and he’s never felt quite so happy in his life. A lot of plaid begins to work it’s way into his wardrobe and when he gets the horses, Eddie brings him back a pair of cowboy boots and a Stetson from Texas, which he initially doesn’t wear but then Athena says he looks hot in them so he brings them out when he’s riding the horses. And no one minds the long drive to their new place cause it’s so perfect, they have the best cookout there and it’s clear that Athena and Bobby are the happiest they’ve been in years.

Nesting.

That phenomenon when a mother thinks it is time to get the house ready for the arrival of a baby. That moment when a mother thinks a onesie of a cat or a dog would make your baby look incredibly adorable. That moment when you want to start buying every piece of furniture you find on the internet.

But nesting should begin only when you have a permanent place to call home.

The Tuscany house is not only mine. And even if this place was the first one that came into my mind whenever I thought about raising my kid, I knew that this won't be possible.

I realized I needed to find a new home, one where Charles and I could build our life together and raise our son.

“Hey, what keeps your mind busy?” 

I closed my laptop and placed it on the coffee table, a weak smile on my lips. We should talk about it, right?

“Love, everything's alright?” he asked worried.

“Yeah, yeah” I sighed. “I was thinking…”

“Oh no, bad news” he teased, a grin playing on his lips. I rolled my eyes and gave him a playful nudge. “I’m just kidding!” he added, laughing.

“I was thinking about, well… Selling my apartment in Florence” I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. 

“What? Why?” he frowned. “But you love that place-”

“Oi, let me talk!” I exclaimed, laughing. “I want to sell the apartment because I want to buy a house with you!”

I glanced at him, my cheeks warming as I nibbled my lip. His surprise softened into a slow, growing smile.

“What about this house?” he asked, holding my hands, rubbing soft circles over my knuckles. “I thought you wanted to raise the kid here?”

“Yeah, but…” I sighed. “This house is not only mine. I can't keep Erica and Soleil away from this house only because I chose to raise our son here. It's too big for us…”

“And what were you thinking now, hm?” he smiled, moving closer to me and wrapping his arm around my shoulders. 

“Well…” I smile softly, kissing his jaw. “I need a house for us, where we can decorate it how we want. Where… Where I can finally nest”

“Oh, it's that?” he chuckled. “Baby momma wants to nest?”

“You are such an idiot…” I sighed, nudging his side. “As if I was the only one who has been looking for things for the baby”

He chuckled and hugged me, kissing my temple. 

“We should get things ready for the gender reveal” he whispered, kissing my cheek a few times. “Like… buying the confetti, the snacks, decorations…”

“Yeah, yeah” I giggled, hugging him.

Since the scare with Athena, we’ve been trying to make her more comfortable. The vet recommended a special diet for senior cats, so I’ve switched her food to match that.

But the worst thing was to know that she was getting older, weaker. 

We try to make things easy for her, and somehow look after her whenever we find her going to hide somewhere, making sure she isn't alone.

“We should do it outside” I smiled, kissing his jaw. “On the table that has good views”

“Oh, yeah” he nodded. “The one who is under the tree?”

“Mhm” I nodded. “So we have more space for our friends and family, and in that way we can leave Athena here without stress”

“I'm sure she would love the attention” Charles chuckled. “But yeah, you are right. Less stress would make her feel better”

“Yeah” I sighed, cuddling him, getting comfortable with my back pressed on his chest as I placed my laptop on my belly..

“So… Buying a house” he smiled, playing with the curls of my hair. “Where? And when?”

“When…” I sighed, swallowing thickly while I rubbed the side of my belly. “I don't know, really… I can't stop thinking about Athena. I don't want to stress her more with another moving out”

“I know, love” he sighed, wrapping his arm over my chest. 

“It's… God, it's so hard” I sighed, blinking away the tears that were threatening to fall. “It's like I'm walking over eggshells with her. I don't know what is going on with her, I don't understand why she's like this. She never had a problem with all the times she was out… I even brought her to some races. But now…”

“Have you thought about going to a better veterinarian clinic?” he whispered. “Dafne, the amount of weight she had lost is not normal, and she's sleeping more than she used to…”

“I know, I know” I swallowed thickly. “I’m scared of what they could say…”

Because somehow, I know what the answer could be. I can feel it whenever she looks at me lately, when she cuddles me at night, when she lays on my chest with her head on my belly. 

Charles sighed, kissing my head and holding me tight. He knows what Athena means to me, he knows how important she is to me. And somehow, I know that she is important to him, too.

“I'll be with you all the time” he whispered. 

“I know” I whisper, kissing his arm softly. “Thank you”

We were both walking over eggshells. Ever since Charles met Athena and she showed him trust and love, he took care of her like I did, treating her like his own.

“Anyway” I sighed, opening the laptop. “Why don't we go to Florence? We can buy things for the party there. And I miss walking around that city”

“Oh, sure” he smiled, kissing my neck. “It's a date, then”

“W-what?” I gasped. “Idiot!”

“Why? Can't I have a date with my girl, hm?” he smirked, kissing my neck. “I owe you so many dates”

“Whatever” I whisper, blushing.

He laughed, kissing my cheek again and again then turning my head with his hand and pressing his lips on mine on a soft kiss.

“But stop kissing me if you want to go there” I whisper against his lips, smiling. 

“We have all day to be there” he murmured, kissing me again, grabbing my laptop and putting it back on the coffee table.

“Oh, now you are the horny one?” I laughed, feeling how he held my hips to make me sit on his lap.

“May I remind you how you woke me up today?” he smirked, making me gasp and hit his chest softly.

“I'm a pregnant woman who has her needs and hormones!” I said, crossing my arms in front of my chest, smiling.

“And I never said I didn't like it” he smirked. “I just want to return the favor”

“Oh, then go on” I smile, kissing his lips, feeling his hands holding my hips and pulling me down on him.

f1gossip Charles Leclerc and Dafne Morelly were found today walking around Florence! 

They looked very cozy, and Dafne looked more beautiful than ever. Some fans found them buying things in a supermarket and they suspect they will make a gender reveal soon, since they saw them buying punk and blue things.

The backyard of the house was full of people, of laughs. Our families came early in the morning to help us get everything ready, to set all the decorations and have lunch together before our friends arrived.

“Boy or girl?” my sister Erica asked.

“I don't want to jinx it” Charles smiled, biting his lip while he placed his hand on my belly. “So I'll keep it to myself”

“So…” Arthur smirked looking at us. “You two are dating?”

I looked at Charles, placing my hand on top of his and nodded, rubbing his knuckles with my thumb.

“Yeah” I nodded, looking at the youngest Leclerc.

“Fucking finally!” our siblings exclaimed, making our parents laugh.

“Is the best. We want to raise our baby together, as a family,” I said, glancing at Charles. The commitment in his eyes reassured me, and I knew we were on the right path.

Charles held my hand tightly and smiled, leaning closer to kiss my temple. He placed his hand in the back of my chair, playing with my hair.

“We always said that you two were going to end up together” my father said, mirroring Charles and placing his arm in the back of my mother's chair. “That those fights you had were only temporary”

“Oh yeah” Charles' mom laughed, looking at my dad. “Hervé and you had a bet, right?”

“He should give me like 50 euros” he laughed. “When you two were teens we made a bet. Hervé said that you two wouldn't get together before your thirty, and I said you two would. So… yeah”

I felt Charles moving on the chair, taking a deep breath. I looked at him with a sad smile, holding his hand and kissing it.

“I miss him,” Charles said, his smile faltering as he looked down. “I always imagined he’d be here longer… seeing us get married, meeting our kids”

Silence fell between all of us, smiling sadly. I held Charles' hand that was on top of my belly, holding it tightly.

“Anyway” his mother smiled weakly. “How is everything going?”

I took a deep breath and smiled, kissing Charles’ cheek softly.

“Good, yeah” I nodded. “Some days ago we had a little scare with my cat, but… Yeah, besides that, everything is good. The baby is calm, not kicking hard, and it's healthy”

“Oh? Athena?” Soleil frowned. “What happened to her?”

“She's old” I smile weakly. “Having health problems, I guess… We don't know yet. We went to the city the other day and a ver made some studies, they will send us the results soon”

“But she's okay as long as she doesn't get stress” Charles smiled, nodding and rubbing my arm. “We discovered she likes to sleep in the room next to Dafne's, so we made sure she's comfortable there”

“Little Athena wants attention, that's all” I smile weakly. “With the pregnancy and Charles being around, and the change of house again… We want to buy a house for us, but with her being sick…”

“Hey, it will be okay” Erica smiled, holding my hand. “If you need it, I can keep her with me”

“No, don't worry” I sighed. “I just…”

I swallowed thickly, looking at my belly. There's something inside of me that these are the last months I'm going to spend with her. Something inside of me tells me that she won't make it.

Charles pressed a gentle kiss to my temple, and I sighed, my eyes fluttering closed as I leaned into his touch.

“Today is a day to be happy” he smiled. “Smile, yeah? She is with us, don't worry”

I leaned into Charles, a soft smile tugging at my lips as I watched his hand gently trace circles on my belly.

“So… Buying a house?” my father smiled, drinking the last sips of his wine. “If you need help with anything you know we can help, right?”

“Yeah, just…” I sighed. “We want to wait a little. I started to have that nesting instinct, wanting to make the home more comfortable for the baby, but at the moment I don't think we can do it”

“We decided that we won't raise the kid in this house” Charles smiled. “It wouldn't be fair for Soleil and Erica, this is their house too”

“But you can stay here, guys…” Erica smiled weakly. 

“We want to live together” I smiled softly, looking at Charles. “In our own house, watching our kid grow and make memories in a house that is ours. This place can stay as what it is: our summer house”

“So it's official, then?” Arthur smiled looking at us. “We are finally becoming a family, huh?”

“You already were” I smiled.

After lunch, we tidied up, the anticipation building as we waited for our friends to arrive.

Charles and I were sitting in the couch, enjoying the warm weather while we waited, already knowing that they were on their way to the house.

“We should find a name for our baby, hm?” he whispered, with his lips pressed on my temple. 

“I want our baby to carry your dad’s name and Jules’ names” I said, pulling away a little to look into his eyes, placing my hand on his chest. 

“Dafne…” he smiled weakly, placing his hand on my belly.

“They are not with us anymore, but I want them to be remembered” I whisper. “I want our baby to know about them, to know that he has their names because of two wonderful people”

He smiled and cupped my cheek, pressing his lips on mine and kissing me softly, pouring in that kiss all the words he can't say.

“Dorian Jules Hervé” he whispered, making me gasp and laugh 

“Dorian? Are you sure?” I laughed. 

“Come on, you showed me those TikTok edits about that character” he laughed. “And if the genetics are right, he has a fifty percent probability to have blue eyes”

“And a fifty percent probability to have green eyes” I laughed softly, pecking his lips. “But… I really like how that sounds”

“Dorian Jules Hervé Morelli-Leclerc,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to my temple with each name, as if sealing the memory of those we love.

“Both surnames?” I whispered. 

“Sure, why not?” he smiled. “We are not married, you don't have my surname”

I smile looking at him, kissing his lips softly. I love him, I accepted those feelings recently. But talking about marriage? Not yet.

Some minutes went by when Kika sent me a message saying that they were already in front of the gates, waiting for us to open it.

We got up from the couch, anticipation bubbling between us as we made our way to the front gates. The sight of our friends stepping out of their cars brought a rush of happiness, and I couldn’t help but smile, feeling the day’s excitement building.

“My god, you are glowing!” Kika gasped while walking towards me, hugging me, then looking down at my belly. 

“Thank you” I chuckled, kissing her cheeks. 

“How's everything going? The baby? How is it?” she smiled.

“Yeah, well… Good” I smiled, looking at her and then at Charles. 

I smiled, looking around and then gasping softly when I saw Violet walking out of the car with a black puppy. I laughed, watching how Lando picked up the dog and walked towards us.

“And this little one?” I laughed, letting the puppy smell my hand.

“Meet Rhys” Violet smirked, laughing and looking at Lando.

“There's no way you named him after Rhysand” I laughed, shaking my head. 

“And you want to name your baby after Manon or Dorian” Violet smirked, hugging me. “You look amazing, Dafne. I missed you so much”

“I missed you too” I smiled.

Somehow it made me feel good. They welcomed me as a new wag, even if it was still hard for me to accept that I won't race anymore. But knowing that they would be by my side, made me feel grateful.

“We bought some things for the baby” Lily smiled, standing next to me after kissing my cheek. “Since none of us knew the gender gets we decided to make some onesies of the teams”

“Oh yeah, McLaren would look amazing on the baby” Lando smirked, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend's waist. 

“Our baby will be a Ferrari baby, so no, we won't accept that onesie” I laughed.

“Oh, don't worry, we will put it on when we'll have to babysit, hm?” Violet smirked.

“Like hell I'll ask you to babysit my baby” Charles laughed looking at them, wrapping his arm around my waist and kissing my cheek. 

“I never thought thatI would live to see that” Pierre laughed. “But I'm glad you two are finally together, really”

I smile looking at them, then at Charles. Them, our closest friends, know how much we fought, how many times we said that we hated each other.

“Anyway! Let's go to the backyard” I filed placing my hand on Charles' chest. “Everything is ready”

We all walked together, and I couldn't be happier. Our son will be surrounded by amazing people, a family of many people that will love him and help him with everything. And our friends will be there whenever we need them, taking care of him and loving him.

Charles stood beside me, his hand resting gently on my lower back. I glanced up at him, catching the hint of a smile playing on his lips. We both knew what was coming, and even though we had known the gender of our baby, this moment still felt monumental.

The table in front of us was adorned with candles and flowers, a perfect setting for what was about to unfold. At the center was a large, beautifully decorated cake. The outside was a neutral white, with a few little pink and blue flowers. But inside that was where the secret was hidden.

"Are you ready?" Charles whispered, his breath warm against my temple as he gently rubbed my back.

“As ready as I’ll ever be,” I whispered back, a smile playing on my lips as I reached for the knife, my hand trembling slightly with excitement.

As the knife slid through the layers, the hush that fell over the crowd made the moment feel even more surreal. We lifted the first slice, revealing the bright blue filling inside. Gasps and cheers echoed around us, and I couldn’t help but laugh, the joy bubbling up inside me.

“It’s a boy!” Pierre shouted, followed by all of the boys screaming excited. 

Even though we had already known this, seeing everyone else’s reactions, sharing that moment with them, felt like we were experiencing it all over again. My mother rushed forward, her eyes shining with happy tears as she hugged me tight. Charles’ mother wasn’t far behind, wrapping her arms around both of us as she laughed through her tears.

"You've been carrying a little prince all this time," my mother said, her voice trembling with emotion.

“Yeah” I smile, hugging her, feeling tears blurring my vision. “A little prince”

Charles couldn’t stop smiling, his pride lighting up his face like the sun. He embraced Arthur and then Lorenzo, while his friends clapped him on the back, laughter and cheers mixing with the joyful chatter of my sisters.

“I knew it would be a boy!” my sister Soleil laughed, walking towards me with Erica and hugging me.

Charles turned back to me, his eyes meeting mine with that look I’d come to love so much. He reached out, taking my hand in his, squeezing it softly.

He took a step closer to me and pressed his lips on mine, kissing me softly and sweet, the kind of kiss that felt like sealing a promise. The cheers around us grew louder, but for a moment, it was just the two of us, wrapped in this incredible feeling of love and anticipation.

The celebration was everything I had hoped for and more. The sprawling garden of the Tuscany house was filled with laughter, love, and the scent of roses. Family and friends gathered around the long, beautifully decorated table, toasting to our baby boy. 

Charles stood beside me all the time, his arm wrapped around my waist, his lips pressing soft kisses on my shoulder, temple and cheek.

But then, the mood shifted. A sudden hush fell over the group, and I noticed our friends turning, their smiles faltering into puzzled frowns. My pulse quickened as I followed their gaze, and that’s when I saw her.

“Melanie?” Charles frowned.

She stood at the entrance to the garden, her presence like a shadow creeping into the light of our perfect day. Her chocolate hair caught the evening sun, almost giving her a caramel glow, but her eyes were dark, filled with something that made my stomach twist. She was holding her stomach, her hand resting protectively over what was unmistakably a baby bump.

I felt Charles tense beside me, his hand tightening on my waist as his gaze zeroed in on her swollen belly.

“What the hell are you doing here?” His voice was low, filled with a mix of disbelief and anger, setting my nerves on edge as confusion swirled in my mind.

Melanie started walking toward us, her eyes never leaving mine. I could see something cruel flickering in her gaze, something that made my pulse race with anxiety.

“Congratulations, Dafne,” Melanie said, her voice sweet but full of venom. “It seems we both have some news to share.”

“What are you talking about” I frowned, swallowing thickly. I can't stop looking at her stomach.

My heart pounded in my chest as she shifted her hand on her belly, making her pregnancy even more obvious. My mind raced, trying to make sense of what she was implying. She couldn’t be…

“I’m pregnant too,” she announced, her gaze piercing through me before shifting to Charles. “You are going to be a dad twice, how lucky”

“W-what?” I mumbled, looking at Charles.

My knees wobbled, and I had to grab onto Charles to steady myself. The world around me began to spin, and I could barely hear the shocked gasps and whispers from our family. All I could focus on was the sickening reality that was crashing down on me.

“Dafne, don’t listen to her,” Charles mumbled, turning to me, his voice desperate. “She’s lying. I swear to you, she’s lying.”

I can't breathe. No, I can't. This can't be happening.

“She’s lying,” Charles insisted, his grip tightening on my arm, desperation lacing his voice. “Dafne, it’s not true...”

But the words barely registered. The edges of my vision blurred, the scene before me fading into a dizzying swirl of darkness. The last thing I saw was Melanie’s cold, triumphant smile before the world slipped away.

“Dafne!” Charles’ voice echoed in my mind as I felt myself slipping, my body giving in to the weight of the shock.

And then, nothing.

Epic The Wisdom Saga Ranking:

SO I really loved this saga so here's my ranking and if you guys want to, you can add it your list by rebloging as well!

1: Little Wolf: Just from the start with Antinous being cold and vicious, Aryon killed it as always, I thought it would just be a long fight of Tele vs Antinous until it would end with either Penelope or Athena (perhaps both saving him in the last moment) But I was genuinely surprised to see Athena appear and aid Telemachus, also their dynamic is cute, and the animation, Liam Davidson delivered it with the videogame aspect of it and Luzia coming with the absolute beautiful animation and expressions, especially Telemachus, and Teagan just throws it out of the park here, I really love her voice that she has been doing since the rereleased Troy/Cyclops Saga albums and how it goes from a Tele getting his ass kicked, to Tele getting some aid but still getting beat up, while leaving some bruises to Antinous and how the Little Wolf taunt was more used like a compliment.

2: Love in Paradise: I would have thought this was gonna be like at the bottom (not in terms of bad, but just not quite top tier) first off the Time-Dive by Mircsy was absolute mind-blowing, from Aeolus, to Poseidon which I really liked because of how quick the "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves" to Circe, Tiresias, Sirens, Scylla which has a really cool shot! and then ending with Thunder Bringer, then we have Gigi! her animation was amazing as always, we get introduced to Calypso who is played by the wonderful Barbara Wangui! she sounds so fun and playful but I like the general creepy vibes given to Calypso, then the cliff scene this absolutely shocked me then I remembered it was accurate to how Homer's Odysseus felt almost sucidial during his time on Ogygia, the belting Jorge lets out, letting out every single part of Odysseus's anguish before screaming for Athena, absolutely gut-wrenching it almost made me tear up

3: We'll Be Fine: I love this song so much, the absolute feels you can feel from Teagan's Athena, the guilt she feels that she can't even sleep, also noticed some lyrics were changed like "When I'll never left home shores" which I find intriguing, the growing friendship between Tele and Athena is just so wholesome and love the ending with him trying to lean his head on her shoulder then falling on his face lmao

4: Legendary: This was absolutely a great start, MICO as Telemachus was absolutely incredible and very proud of how he portrayed Telemachus, nice that Argos is shown following (sad that he was failing to catch Tele because he's a very old dog who's sick) a perfect song to show how a son wants to live up to his father that he never got to meet, the "Man of The House" callback with the suitors and Antinous being an absolute asshole, "DON'T YOU DARE CALL MY MOTHER A TRAMP" from Tele was delivered so well, showing how much respect and protectiveness he has for his mama.

5: God Games: Honestly I would have thought this was going to be at least at the top 1 or 2 for the list, obviously everyone did great, Brandon as Apollo was amazing, love how nonchalant he seemed, wish his part was a bit more longer (but he is LVL1, so it makes sense in video game terms) Hephaestus was quite good, Jorge's dad did amazing and the fact he's also a builder is very ironic, I was quite fine with his part being short because if the "Odysseus took Achilles's armour that Hephaestus specifically made for Achilles" because EPIC doesn't stay too long on the Trojan War (besides references and callbacks etc etc) Janani K. Jha and Earle Grensham Jr did SO GOOD as Ares and Aphrodite, love the fact that Aphrodite's love domain isn't just romantic or lustful love, it's motherly love as well, then we have POSEY as Hera!, love the disco music part of Hera's music, also Anniflamma's animation was so cute and funny! with Athena awkwardly dancing along with Hera, then we have Zeus's part.... alright first off Luke Holt POPPED OFF on this one, his voice was so intimidating here then in Thunder Saga or Troy Saga, the "Thunder Bringer" being brought back with that deep tone he brought in, but I do have some criticism which is I wish Zeus had more words to say, also did not like how he came off like a sore loser (he can be that in the myths sometimes) But I thought it more off like he was actually ashamed of Athena trying so hard to defend this "man full of shame" which in my opinion makes me think that he also felt shame was gonna be brought upon him for the fact The King of Gods's daughter basically going all this way to free one mortal man, besides that I love the small flashback with Athena and baby Telemachus which shows how determined that she is not only doing this for Odysseus, but for his son, then the end was okay, nice to see Ares was genuinely concerned for her, same for the other gods and it ending with Athena being unconscious (also the red blood is kinda explained as her becoming more human by Gwendy who did the last animation for God Games) still like the song but wished it was more longer

Dang, that was an abrupt ending. But why did Athena like… tell Odysseus’s father to kill the guy and then told them not to kill each other lmao. Idk. But overall yay. Interesting how Odysseus didn’t listen at first. I think he’s truly changed since his adventure

Something I noticed was that Odysseus was probably a very happy and joyful man. He had family and friends, a wife and a newborn son. He treated everyone fairly and with kindness and everyone adored him for it. But after his adventure, he seemed far more somber and angry. Sad change of character, but ultimately he didn’t change too much. I love him. I enjoyed that WAAYYYY more than I thought I would. Sure the writing was different than what I was used to—there was so much yapping and tangents and metaphors—but it wasn’t impossible to follow! I’ve read difficult stories from Shakespeare to scriptures and this was an overall easy read. The culture of Ancient Greece is very…. Strange to me, but it’s always neat to see differences in cultures, no matter how uncomfy it makes me feel. Love how both Odysseus and Penelope remained faithful to each other and cried over each other a lot. They got married for a reason <3 and Telemachus my son. He’s so precious. Good good story I enjoyed that a lot

While recovering from a breakup, you look back at your time with Sirius Black, all while realizing an undeniable truth.

Warning: Mentions of Adult Activities, angst

The Greeks believed that the stars, galaxies, the constellations were created by the gods.

For reference, the placing of Callisto.

The beautiful, loyal, and favored hunter of Artimes. But it seems that loyalty only got you so far with the gods. She was soon turned into a bear by her goddess due to the birth of a child caused by an assult by Zeus. Years later, the same child would come upon her bear form and attempt to kill it. Zeus would see these events unfold and take "mercy" upon the two. He would place them in the sky so they would never be separated again.

Another, Andromeda. She was the fair wife to Perseus, the slayer of Medusa. Although their meet cute probably wasn't as romantic as she was hoping it would be. He found her chained to a rock by her own people as a sacrifice to Poseidon's monster. He would slay it, and they would soom have a whopping six children. Athena would later place her in the sky as a way for people to remember her for all of eternity.

The brightest in the sky though, at least in your eyes was Orion's dog, the Star of Sirius.

And a dog he was.

You'd spend the better half of 2 weeks moping in your bed. Although you would never say that aloud because then that would mean he won. It would mean that he had been able to wiggle his way into your heart like a parasite. It would mean that without his touch on your hand, your shoulder, your lips, your legs, you were lost. That you were had loved him.

So you blamed your absence on painful, the worst you-ever-experienced, period cramps. Although that could only work for so long, even if none of your peers didn't really believe it in the first place. So, it didn't take long for your scar covered friend to come barging in.

"You know, it's considered rude in most of the world to come in without a heads up," you grumbled, not having to look up to see who it was, the scent of chocolate reaching your nose, "What if I was naked?"

"Then what a site it would have been," Remus replied sarcastically, "It's time to get out of this room, love."

"See, I would love to Rem, but my cramps are just killing me," you grasp your stomach in mock pain.

"Now, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't think menstrual periods, or at least yours, last twelve days."

You gasp, "then it must be menopause," you fall back onto your bed sinking into the warm sheets. "Oh, I should have seen the signs, the gray hair, the wrinkles... oh Rem! Do you think this spot is cancerous?" You both fall into laughter, and you realize this is the first time you smiled since the incident. Remus plops onto the space beside you with a smile still spread on his features, your shoulders touching.

There was a comfortable silence, hearing the laughter of students, stories down from your window. The window he once climed through after almost killing himself scaling the outside wall of the castle. You cleaned the material out of his hair and kissed his wounds better that night, your heart glowing that although a stupid action was directed so he could get to you. You shoke the memory from your brain, opting to turn the boy beside you.

"How do you even get in here?"

"I'll give you three guesses"

"Why didn't they just talk to me themselves?" you ask, thinking of your roommates/best friends

"Well, I don't know if you realize this, but you are quite argumentative... and a little bit scary. I'm surprised you weren't sorted into Slytherin."

"So you were thrown into the lion cage," he lets out a breathy chuckle.

"Well, I've been told I can be quite stubborn. I am the one who pulls the boys out of their beds." The smile slipped off your face, and you could feel the gaping pit in your stomach return. Remus immediately realized his mistake and felt his heart break a little at your dimming eyes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean t-,"

"No, you're okay, it's fine. I'm fine." You gave him a tight lip smile even though you both know he could look right through it.

There is another pregnant pause. You were happy that Remus came to check up on you. Though friends before, you cheating off his work and him being graced by your impeccable charm, he was one of Sirius's closest mates. And you wouldn't have been surprised if he stopped talking to you. You couldn't say that wouldn't have stun, though.

"I just really don't want to see him. I don't know what I'll do if I do."

"It'll be okay," he said, bringing you closer to his chest, "it'll be okay."

You let yourself relax in his grasp. Though you knew it was wrong, you couldn't help but picture yourself in someone else's arms.

"I'll let you have some of my chocolate if you come in to walk with me."

"Deal."

And that's how you ended up here. Walking among the land of the living again, trying to ignore the whispers and stares, all while looking out for a pierced boy. You thought you saw his back at one point, but it was just his younger brother Regulas, who when he turned around and saw you, give you a polite nod.

Talking with Remus was nothing but a pleasure, catching you up on the gossip you had missed and adding his own commentary. It seemed nothing would be able to dampen your mood until you felt the thundercloads roll over again.

You had been walking down the shore of the lake when you saw the tree. The tree where you and him had shared countless laughs, deep conversations, (most of which talked of your future together) kisses, and intimate touches. Where you shared stories of your day, read to one another, and even a few nights of love making.

But your favorite pastime with Sirius, besides the sex, was the star gazing. You would lay out on the ground, his warm leather jacket the only protection from the prickly grass, and Sirius would rest his head on your chest. Then begin your game. Sirius would point to a light in the sky and say its name, although most you already knew, then you would tell the stories and mythology behind that star. As you looked up at the galaxy, you could imagine that you were somewhere else in time, somewhere without the threat of an impending war, maybe a peaceful farm with geese roaming around.

There were more than a few times that you and the boy would have to sneak back into the castle, being woken from your slumber by the streaks of dawn flooding the sky.

But that sacrade tree was not without company. There leaning on the stump was Sirius. But what really cemented the dagger into your heart was the girl curled into his chest reading aloud the lines of a book.

Remus followed your line of sight and quickly turned you away, starting to chatter on about dinner.

But it was too late, you already felt a shiver go down your spine despite the heat. The look he was giving her was one that you were plenty familiar with. A look of awe, admiration, maybe even love. A look that used to be able to stop you in your tracks and make your heart mush still had the same effect, only befriended with a sour emotion.

You recognized the girl, believing she was in the year younger than yours. She was also the one he said not to worry about.

As you began walking away from the scene, you couldn't help but compare it to a car accident. Wanting to look but knowing as soon as you see the damage you wouldn't be able to unsee it. But another thought lingered in your mind. The urge to walk right up to the couple, to the girl, and warn her. Warn her that she was just a pawn in a game he likes to play; fun to play with but easily expandable.

But you could tell it was too late for her. Having already looked into his eyes, being put in a hypnotic state of adoration. A parallel to your own experience.

The first time you were really captivated with Sirius was when you really took a look into his eyes. Having known of each other, you never began talking until you were partnered in Charms class. It's said that eyes are a window to the soul, and as disgusting as it sounds, you could see your whole future in them. They were hypnotic and put you in a trance like state of borderline obsession.

Angeleyes were the only way to describe them.

With Sirius Black, every day felt like paradise. He was everything one would ever need in a boyfriend. He was doting and wasn't afraid to show it. Blowing kisses at Quddich games, buying expensive gifts, and even creative once in a lifetime dates.

Every day was an adventure. For your half-year anniversary, Sirius had managed to bag front row tickets to see Bowie. You and him danced under the stars that night, the euphonious voice of the Starman himself filling your ears like honey. That night was filled with tipsy lovemaking and a warm shower to wash the colorful makeup off your faces.

Everything was perfect...

Until it wasn't.

You had heard the rumors of his past, you would have to be living under a rock to not have. Of breaking hearts left and right. It didn't matter who you were, how you acted, Sirius Black would break your heart.

But when you hit your two month mark of dating, you thought you were different. How unfortunately and totally wrong you were.

He was getting distant by the nine month mark. Although you knew what was to come, you tried to hold it off as best you could. He began acting weirder. Trying to distance himself from you in public, keeping touches to minimim. He would partner with his friends on projects, when before his eyes would quickly find yours when a group project was mentioned. Then, when you were in private, he was back to his old loving self, the Sirius you feel in love with.

He broke up with you in public. In the Great Hall. In the middle of dinner. In. front. of. everyone. The room became silent, something that never happened, as they watched the Heartbreak Prince collect another broken heart. You tried to maintain your dignity and not let your tears fall as you moved to the opposite side of the table from him, your friends following. It wasn't until you got to the dorm that night that you broke down in Mary's arms, the mutters of Lily and Marlene's threats to kill him accompanying your broken sobs.

You were right about his angeleyes. Though his love and innocence was just a wear of disguse, underneath it all, he still was an angel, but rather to add, a fallen angel. A man who plays the game and continues to collect hearts as his victims pay the price.

But sometimes at night, in the dark of the dormitory, or you're feeling extra lonely, you like to imagine he's lying next to you, stunning eyes still trained on you. You believe that will forever be the price you pay for falling in love with the boy.

Or in the halls, as you walk by the Gryfindor as if he's a stranger, the pain that you had managed to wear away had all come back like a flood of cold water. It still hurt to even think about your time together, a time you never thought you could life without him. A part of you couldn't, and that part died the day he broke your heart, a part you will never get back. But as time goes on, you know you'll get stronger and one day break free of his spell.

As Sirius struts the hallway with a new student every week, you stare down his new prey, hoping they get your warning.

Omg please hades son Oscar is what I need. He’s friends with Lando and they are the duo that everyone is scared of in camp cause they are children of the big three but in reality Oscar is really calm and very self-aware when it comes to his powers. Well Lando not so much because he likes the fact he’s so powerful, unlike Oscar. But Oscar always tries to control him as much as he can and it works. I can so see Max coming into camp later and he’s super insecure and guarded because of that. But the two warm their way into his heart eventually and now kids worry not only about Hades’ and Poseidon’s sons but also Zeus’. They are the new big three however their father don’t like it.

Oscar would date Demeter’s daughter and they are the perfect balance to each other. She’s life and he’s death and it’s just the way it was always supposed to be. Buck: the obvious choice is to match Buck up to a golden retriever but that man is a husky. Beautiful eyes. Stubborn as hell. Gets an idea in his head and won’t let it go. Sooooo dumb so smart and so fluffy. Pack animal; having one by himself is almost cruel. Sheds. Sometimes you put him in a cone bc he looks so pathetic in it but then you very quickly take it off.

Maddie: King Charles Spaniel. Beautiful, long hair, big eyes, kind of always looks like she’s crying. Must be brushed often. Looks so regal in a nice collar but sometimes likes to roll in mud. When wet looks like the saddest creature to ever exist but one nice blow dry and she’s back to her happy self.

Athena: Dachshund. Surprisingly aggressive; will bite strangers. Short but powerful. Closet cuddler. Very stubborn. Will dig up your yard if you’re not watching closely. Definitely acts bigger than her size and you’ve seen her bark down dogs twice as big (Buck). Has some weird vendetta against your slippers and always rolls on her back looking cute whenever you question her about their whereabouts.

Eddie: beagle. Those big soulful eyes 🥺. Gets really bad separation anxiety. Perfect for families. Very sweet but a bit needy. A little sensitive. Howls when he’s feeling anxious. You put him in a thundershirt once on the Fourth of July and he hid under the bed. (A bit vain.) Enjoys wearing a collar that sort of makes him look like he’s wearing a turtleneck.

Bobby: a mutt of indiscernible breed with hauntingly human eyes. Disconcerting. Is definitely judging you. Shakes during storms but will bark at strangers until they earn his trust and then he’d chase down a car for them. Disappears sometimes and comes back looking extra scraggly. One time at the dog park you saw him chasing a husky up a tree and now that husky follows him around whenever you visit that park.
