Lol just imagine a certain spider child coming home from school. (Aka me projecting cause my finals started this week.)
He was tired okay? Finals were coming up, school was a mess with the pre-test anxiety, teachers getting stricter about missing grades or a random haywire web shooter or eight in science class landing on the back of a chair or desk or whatever it was that day. Ned was stressing about this subject and the next, he just wanted a break.
He slumps into the lab doorway, bag sliding off his shoulders and landing with a thud wherever he just so happened to drop it. (On top of some abandoned project that had been downgraded from desk to floor after it was scraped) while he sleepily stumbled into the little section of the lab that had been claimed by him.
And so what if he just....kept walking, if you could even call it that. Eyes blurry, feet shuffling. He let out a yawn as he dropped to the ground, laying down and stretching out like a cat before curling up and getting comfortable. He settled himself and shut his eyes. He knew he shouldn't have sat down, he knew he had at least another hour of studying if he wanted to pass. But the floor-he was on the floor right? The floor was so comfy, and it was nice to lay on. The cold contrasted with his warm skin while he pressed his head against the hard surface. Plus it made a nice cooling feeling that reminded him of when he would stay out a little too late and pass out on some random rooftop.
He was later awoken by the sound of a coffee cup shattering and an exasperated yelp then exaggerated groan and finally an exhausted sigh from his dad boss. "Peter why are you on my ceiling?"
Have a nice day and remember to sleep and drink water you dumbasses <3

ohh if you’re still doing the instrumental ask game, how about We Must Be Prepared? It’s by Brightam Orchestra. (You can find it on Yt it wouldn’t lemme attach a link) :/
Link coughed a little as sand was kicked into his face. He really didn't like the desert that much - it was so different from the bright colors of his home, the gentle sunlight and milder weather.
Also people weren't usually trying to kill him in the Kokiri Forest, a place he used to call home. Most of the time. Those club moblins were an exception.
And the octoroks. And the babas.
Okay, maybe some things were trying to hurt him back in the forest too. But it wasn't this hot!
An arrow flew by his ear, and Link focused. He goaded his steed to move faster, and then he wondered for a moment - if he was this hot, wouldn't his wolf friend, covered in black fur, be even hotter?
The panting certainly indicated as such.
Glaring back at the people in red trying to pursue them, Link growled. Then he ordered, "Get Scars out of here!"
Leaping off the wolf with a flip, Link brought his blade down on the nearest foot soldier, knocking him out quickly. He ducked around another attack and swiped sharply, startling a little when the man disappeared in a puff of smoke. He heard rustling behind him, making his ear twitch, and he rolled to dodge an attack as the person reappeared elsewhere.
More soldiers gathered around him. Link glared at them defiantly. He'd faced down multiple opponents before; he wouldn't go down that easily.
His wolf friend snarled, teeth bared viciously, and tore into one of the men, making the others jump. Link took the opportunity and eliminated a handful more, causing the rest to retreat. Then he looked at the wolf.
"I said get Scars out of here," he sighed. "I guess you don't understand that much."
The wolf's ears flattened and he barked softly as if in a huff. Traipsing lightly to some ruins, he nudged gently at the sick teenager.
"I don't know, Wolfie," Link said softly, bending down and placing a hand on the teenager's shoulder. "I don't know much about healing. But we have to find someone. Maybe we can give him this potion in the meantime. Can you help me roll him onto his back?"
Wolfie watched him, whining softly. Link ignored his wolf friend a moment, doing the deed himself and grunting as Scars flopped helplessly onto his back. Then he pulled out the potion he'd snagged from the dungeon.
Wolfie barked, pushing against him with his muzzle. Link stared at him, bemused. He pet the wolf reassuringly and moved to give the potion, and his friend barked again.
Link looked around to see if there was any sign of trouble. When he saw no threat, he stared at the wolf again, even more confused. "What's wrong? Do you want some potion?"
Wolfie wagged his tail.
Link bit his lip. Could wolves have potions? He knew his friend had gotten hurt in their escape, but he wasn't... well... dying. Link had seen enough people die; he didn't want Scars to die as well. Not if he could help it. And he could help it. Returning his attention to the motionless teenager, he bent down to force the liquid into his mouth, and Wolfie finally knocked him to his side, making him topple over and nearly spilling the concoction.
"Wolfie!" he snapped as the animal picked up the potion and trotted away. "Get back here!"

hc time: Maggie left the renegades bc of Callums death yes, she's convinced herself that "well i've tried out the hero thing (tried in HEAVY QUOTES), didn't work out, im better suited to villainyyy" and in another post i've talked abt how her tossing the helmet to Callum, and that resulting in Callum's death must have been.. a lot
But also, the idea of that kind of event cementing to her she shouldn't work with others. She's better off by herself, retreating into being selfish, but she also won't directly hurt anyone like this. Last time she worked with someone else she cared about? Welp look at him now. Six feet underground. Because of her
So imagine she doesn't want to work with others for that exact reason, last time it ended badly. Imagine her growing close to Max, but entirely refusing to fight with him on the field. If he's gonna throw himself into danger on his own, fine. (its not fine but) No blood on her hands. She's not the reason a partner gets injured or potentially dies
And that would be lots to unpack, anyone she partners up with KNOWS THE RISKS and its not her fault that callum died, but in a potential arc for Maggie im not sure i'll ever write based on all my hcs for her, thats something that would be hard to change her mind abt
Cuz like.. she was eleven when Callum was murdered. Right in front of her. And if that isn't addressed in the next book(s) Marissa Meyer writes I will write it myself godDAMMIT
She'd probably occasionally partner up with ppl, she can't do EVERYTHING by herself, but i'd imagine its only with ppl she doesn't give a SHITTT ABOUT
speaks volumes
