Theoretically, if Merlin finds out that Kilgharrah lost Aithusa, how would he punish him?

When looking at Arthur and Merlins connection it gets one thinking. In the episode 'The poison chalice' in season one, Merlin falls under a fever when poisoned, but yet while being unconscious and ill he still managed to be with Arthur, he could see Arthur, or atleast sense him enough to tell when he's in danger. And also when they meet Merlins father for the first time Arthur is ingered and unconscious yet mutters Merlins name, same as Merlin when he muttered Arthur's. So obviously there is a deeper magical connection aka soulmates, going on. Now imagine if Merlin revealed his magic to Arthur early on, imagine if they figured they held a connection like that and could strengthen it to be able to feel eachothers emotions, pain and maybe even talk via telepathy even though Arthur doesn't have magic.

So, Kilgarrah was pretty awful, right? But despite everything Merlin still goes to him for help even after he attacks Camelot. What if the reason for that is because he’s a dragonlord? That even if he wants to hate the great Dragon, he can’t? That there’s some sort of connection between dragons and dragonlords that prevents them from truly hating each other. Some sort of bond. When Merlin was rescuing Aithusa’s egg, he was certainly in Dragon Protection Mode from his dragonlord lineage, so it’s not impossible to think there could be a bond like this.
