At long fucking last

I can read an entire manga I spent like £130 on

Went to the bone show today (aka the Oddities and Curiosities Expo). 

Spent too much money. Regret nothing. Came away happy.

Haul below the cut. Warning: severe collector syndrome here.

You can rest assured that if I’m not making a show or writing fic, I’m probably spending money. All three of these things are my super happy places, and since I’m not in production and you haven’t seen new stories from me in over a week, you can guess how I’ve been self-soothing.

Fk I love a good acrylic cut out dangle. Especially if they’re iridescent.

You know what else I love? ROCKS. Y’all might call them crystals and know what they’re good for and what shakira they represent, but I just see a color and flash and sparkle and loose my GD mind.

I maaaaaaaaay have gone overboard on the rocks today. Just a wee bit. And maybe almost doubled my collection....

BUT LISTEN. Brazilian citrine. Botswanan agate. BLACK FKN AMETHYST. DO YOU KNOW HOW RARE BLACK AMETHYST IS. And you know what I didn’t need? Two more pieces of fluorite. I already have enough. What am I doing.

I got them all integrated into my collection though...lookit.... this is most of it...

I KNOW I HAVE A PROBLEM. PRAY FOR THIS SINNER.

And then!!!!! I met Coralette Damme and fell in love with her art!!!!

I really promise I started small....just a couple of stickers and a wooden ornament...

But hidden in the back of her stall was an original piece, hand painted on wood and I won’t lie, I kinda fell in love.

The pic doesn’t show all the detail, the wood grain, or the size well (24″H x 12″W) but it’s just lovely and delicate and for an original piece, she was selling it for a steal. I came back at the end and it was still there....she was so so sweet about it. Just a lovely human. With a lovely art style. I love it so much.

This post doesn’t even include the fact that we also went to two thrift stores and a clothing shop where a few good staple black summer clothing pieces and a kneeling chair were purchased. I refuse to look at my receipts from the day...

But. No buyer’s remorse. The Expo comes around once a year and we’ve decided that from here on out, Expo day is Treat Yo Self day.

Because I’m an adult.

And I like pretty things.

But also spooky things.

And I swear I’m an adult. Like for real.

Reminder to avoid buying anything crochet new from big stores. Crochet (unlike knit) CANNOT be done by a machine and must be done by an actual human being. The person who made it was definitely not paid an appropriate amount for their labour. Most big stores use sweatshops anyway and I know it’s hard to completely avoid buying anything from a major store. But if those specific items don’t sell, we can send a message to companies that we don’t want items made fully by hand using slave labour

This summer, avoid any new crochet items. You don’t need THAT specific top that badly

Toji would chuckle every single time. Catching that confused turned frantic look you always gave through the kitchen window; hearing him haul by earlier than usual forced you in a panic… Shit! You've missed trash day twice already! You needed to get this stench out of your house ASAP but the grimy man crooking a wry smirk pressed on the gas soon as you popped out the front door.

“Wait!” Crying out with a waving arm; running barefoot with weeks-old trash hauling behind you in your nightwear was not in your morning routine — but it sure as hell was in his… You wheeze, chasing that green truck like an idiot, you were cursing your husband for always forgetting to take the damn trash to the curb beneath your breath too…

Soon as you were able to get his attention — Well, you've been had it through a small side mirror… but he finally stopped!

His lips are slicked. Admiring the skimpy view of another man's wife's tits heaving and ass bouncing around in baby-blue sheer cloth, even that coffee spilled down your chest which globbed down to your belly from the chase, was his morning coffee…
