just to show her friends!! she was rawdogging that fanfiction, no ff.net, no aff.net, no ao3! she went so insane she wrote 40 pages just for own friends to teehee about. we only know about it because spirk drove SO MANY other people insane, it was passed friend group to friend group across the COUNTRY just to be published in a zine without her consent... in 1987. this fic lasted in private, yet intense, celebration... for 19 years.

do you understand the type of RAVENOUS people had to be to have NO FUCKING INTERNET and keep a fic circulating for two decades???

i love sasunaru. no ship can match their... everything. but in terms of like... sheer contact-high insanity, spirk is on another level.

i saw a post that was like. steven universe discourse i think. in the year 2024. but it was like less discourse in the internet sense where its people arguing online and more talking about the Themes and shit. and it was talking about how steven universe took a hardline stance against punitive justice and how its one of the few pieces of children's media out there that says "revenge is bad!" and then doesnt have the villain die to death at the end as cosmic retribution for their crimes anyway. and there was like a comment thats been sticking with me thats like "everyone always talks about the horrifying trauma of bambi's mom getting shot but nobody cares about the equally horrifying fate of scar getting eaten alive by hyenas" and ive been thinking a lot about that all day. everyone talks about the horrifying trauma of elhokar getting stabbed to death while saying radiant oaths but nobody cares about the equally horrifying fate of sadeas getting his brains scrambled through his eyeballs alone in a dark alleyway by a political rival

Drew Hayes question: Is Fred worth it? I read and loved Super Powereds, Villains' Code (although I haven't gotten Chilling Reflections yet, so no spoilers), and NPCs!! but I read book one (and maybe 2? I'm not positive tbh) of Fred and it was just kind of meh. It felt so episodic in a way that I didn't find that engaging and I also didn't fall in love with any of the characters that much. Should I give it another shot? Does it get better? Will I become A Normal Amount of Interested™️ about yet another of this man's series?
