Fic Prompt: AU where to get her off his back one of David or John Paul’s friends gives Erin the wrong number and that number ends up being James’s number, and Erin is mad she got tricked and into phoning an English boy no less but James comforts this mental stranger over the phone because she seems really upset and has a cute accent and he wants to be kind since someone was clearly unkind to her and they start developing a long distance friendship and then a long distance relationship through phone calls.

Some assorted thoughts:

- James either hasn’t moved or hasn’t moved yet. I imagine this occurring maybe after the party, so late S1 or early S2.

- Imagine you’re James and this cute voice with a strange accent just starts trying to awkwardly flirt with you and then a few words out of your mouth and suddenly she’s furious and emotional and it’s just like you have NO clue what’s happening but you kinda now feel obligated to help if you can it’s not every day a stranger yells and cries over the phone to you. James trying his best to understand a Derry accent over the phone clearly he’s a smitten kitten if he’s trying to understand her.

- Erin just calling James to talk because she can’t admit this stuff to her ACTUAL friends that would be embarrassing except sometimes she’s also calling to tell him all about stuff in her day, and her poetry, and whatnot because he’s a really good listener she kinda just assumed English loved the sound of their own voices but he listens and doesn’t seem impatient or irritated with her like sometimes other people do she can just relax and be herself, maybe they’re becoming friends. Secret friends. Even his accent, that she started out uncomfortable with becomes kind of… cute?

- Erin eventually wonders how he can always be around for her calls so much, like, isn’t his Ma or Da on his back about how much he uses the phone. She has to sneak to call when and where she can, but he doesn’t seem to have that problem. He is surprisingly casual about what sounds to Erin like a raw deal. Maybe she’ll let him talk more in these calls. She kinda wants to know more about him. Erin’s special little secret boy. Even if he is English.

- Accidentally saying something you shouldn’t over the phone, the kinds of ways one can translate their gradual shift in personal space into phone calls. A bit of harmless banter, maybe. Taking longer to hang up and slipping some things into the conversation. They’re both starting to really feel that chemistry.

- Still gets stood up for Prom and calls James, and he comforts her like he always does, and admits that if he could, he would have taken her to prom… Erin feels things. Lots of things.

- Erin and James could trade addresses to send each other gifts for Christmas or something and Erin has to try and get her gift before her family gets to the post so that she doesn’t have to answer uncomfortable questions about her mystery parcel.

- Erin trying to hide her friendship with James but occasionally slips up by mentioning James and has to lie her way out of those mentions before anyone finds out she may like some boy she met over a phone

- If James ends up moving to Derry he would probably end up there in the gap between S2 and S3 and Michelle is ranting and raving about her dickhead English cousin that honestly Erin is already head over heels for. He’s her best secret friend and his voice makes her flutter and it turns out he might be a wee bit handsome. Luckily for her he was already halfway in love, spends his first day in Derry with Michelle and her friends and managed to fall in love with her fully by the end of it.

head in my hands bc of this, just thought abt bakugo growing out his hair a little bit right after baby's birth...takes him months to go and get a real haircut cuz he doesn't wanna burden you more than he already has and by the time he's okay with the thought (but only for "AN HOUR MAX," is what he says), he has a mullet thing going on and all this scruff on his chin🥺🥺🥺

so he gets home with his regular ol' haircut, maybe a little shorter just to account for ... not wanting to go again so soon, and baby's HOLLERING bloody murder as soon as they see him and refusing to be taken out of your arms, doing that thing where they're flipping their face back and forth to dodge a kiss...

it's so tragic bc not even a little cheek nuzzling helps to calm them bc bakugo's CLEAN SHAVEN and smells like aftershave instead of like dad when he tries!!!!!!

and after, you watch him kinda sulk into the bathroom, thinking like aw yeah thats a bummer but also pretty funny, too (esp bc the haircut does look good🫣🤓), AND HE DOESN'T COME OUT FOR LIKE an hour???

....until you finally have to ask him if he's okay in there and you're opening the door to him sitting on the toilet seat, arms crossed and red cheeks a little streaky with tears...

LJFKASDJFADSJK it's the cutest, most sad sight you ever did see!! ofc Bakugo tries to deny it, but the way he tears up again (after you're done assuring him he did nothing wrong) when his baby finally realizes it's him and smiles (and then how he refuses to give them up again until bedtime) has his ass. EXPOSED.

"you know, after i watched paddington, i'm fully convinced animals can talk. you know⎯like in toy story. but they're hiding it from us," you rambled, tapping your finger on your chin like you were in deep thought.

alhaitham flipped over on his stomach, shoving his face into his pillow, "please, go to sleep." his voice is muffled as he pleads, which prompts you to go on.

"and another thing," you continue, "does a straw have two holes? or just one? but there has to be two, right? since there are two holes in a straw."

alhaitham turns around, laying on his side as he listens to you, "you do realize you just answered your own question, right?" he mocks you.

you roll your eyes in return, threading your hands through his hair and ruffling it as revenge. you pretend not to hear him sigh out of content, "yeah. but like⎯if it has two holes, why do we only drink out of one?"

this time, alhaitham does not sigh. he groans, "it's getting too late for these kinds of questions."

you raise your eyebrows, a grin slowly appearing on your face, "oh? so i've finally frustrated the curiosity out of you,'" your sentence turned into laughter at the end.

"you have not," alhaitham countered.

"i think i have," you brush your thumb over alhaitham's eyebrow. he held your hand over his eyebrow and rubbed his thumb over it. he takes your silence as a sign that you are succumbing to exhaustion and you are finally about to fall asleep. but he was wrong.

"i just have one more question," you blurted out.

"only one?" he looked up at you with sleepy eyes. the sight made you want to giggle. alhaitham looks vulnerable. he looks adorable, you think.

"only one," you reaffirm, and rub your thumb across his eyebrow once more, "do you think we're together in every universe?"

the question caught him off guard. you never asked questions like these. most of the time, your questions range from shower thoughts to absurdities. but something seemed more intimate about this one.

alhaitham does not know if you two would be together in every universe. the universe is vast and unpredictable. there are endless possibilities and endless outcomes. it would be impossible for you two to be together in every universe.

that being said, he hopes that you two are together in most of them. alhaitham⎯though he holds disdain at your questions⎯could not imagine a life without them. he simply could not think of a world where he doesn't listen to the sound of your voice every night. he could not visualize a world where he wouldn't be a recipient of your love and your warmth.

to envision a world without you in it is like envisioning a world without it's sun. the world would be shrouded in darkness, without a single bit of light. there would be no warmth, and everything would have froze to death and died.

he looks at you while he thinks about his answer. if he had to wake up every day, and your face wasn't the first thing he saw, alhaitham knew he'd be miserable. he spends at least ten minutes of his morning admiring you. without you, what would he do?

there would be no one to brush his teeth with. there would be no one to eat dinner with. there would be no one to talk to in the middle of the night. life truly seems empty there. he pities all the other alhaithams in the vast universe that have to live without you. it must be horrific, living like that.

so, he makes sure to make this universe count.

"c'mere," he pulls you down to lay with him. you're on your side now as alhaitham pulls you closer, "i'll tell you my answer."

your eyes perk up, having been anticipating his answer the past few minutes. would he disagree or agree? does he think you two would last over different dimensions?

"really? because i think that we'll⎯" alhaitham cuts you off by placing his hand on your jawline and pressing his lips onto yours. it's slow, soft, and quite sensual. his other hand travels down to your hip, slowly rubbing circles on the bone as he continues to kiss you. you don't seem to mind or pull away, as you wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him back.

your legs are intertwined with alhaitham's as you pull away. suddenly, you feel a lot tired than you did a few minutes ago. was this alhaitham's plan all along? did he just try to kiss you into exhaustion? whatever just happened, it would not work. you will get your answer.

you lean on his chest for one minute, and then you fall asleep.

alhaitham didn't intend for that to happen. it was just a small bonus. what he really wanted to do, was to appreciate what he had in front of him. to not take you for granted. he considers how lucky he is: he is here, in bed with you, and he gets to listen to you ramble. he is privileged enough to hear the sound of your voice, your laughter, your thoughts. he just wanted to show that off.

but now, you're entangled in his limbs, dozing off peacefully as you relax into his chest. you'll harass him more about his answer later, but for now, he only mumbles it to you.

"i hope we are together in every universe."

i haint watched the dang chibisode and idk if ill actually watch it with sound on sdfjk but i have a hurt feeling about them casually imbuing perry with speech for a one off gag because the idea that he needs to talk to communicate is fake. we had 4 seasons of wacky magic hijinks cartoon where perry never needed verbal speech to communicate. they couldve done this gag at any point in the show but they didn't, and the fact that they didn't felt significant. perry's muteness is such a core part of his character, to me, to the way i conceive of him/write him. i don't wanna overreact to a goofy little side cartoon (even tho i'm doing it anyway) but it's still the characters, and it still upsets me! ok that's it i've said my piece

Muggle college AU where Harry sneaks into tom’s dorm room (after making sure to drug tom’s water earlier ofc) and takes pictures of him while he sleeps and posts them online. because god fucking dammit, Tom riddle is the most annoying RA that could possibly exist, and he wants a little bit of light revenge.

Harry realizes that “light revenge” may have gotten out of hand around the same time he started stripping Tom, and suddenly he was balls deep in both Tom riddle and a felony. The gravity of the situation did nothing to prevent Harry from taking a video, even though it was just more evidence that could be used against Harry.

Almost finished reading Dungeon Meshi and I got an idea

So in Dungeon Meshi or Delicious in Dungeon, there are these... dungeons.

And from what I have gathered dungeons can be made naturally or artificially but both types have the same few things in common.

They are made to contain demons

They attract adventures

The dungeons have lords who manage/control the dungeon and are given the power to do so by the demons

I know that I'm skimming over some important bits, but long story short, the demons come from an alternate dimension called 'The Infinite Realm' and feed off of people's desires, the Lord of the Dungeon's specifically.

That being said... (incoming dp x dc prompt)

Beings from the Infinite Realms aren't ghosts but demons. And while they do still have obsessions, they lack desires. And so, they've become something they hunger for.

Danny learns this the hard way when he accidentally eats his parents' desire to hunt 'ghosts'.

When the endless, all-consuming hunger, that had been growing inside himself became just a bit satisfied by the action, he got scared. He ran to Clockwork, who immediately explained everything to him.

From there he became terrified. He didn't want to eat people's desires, especially considering that he had some of his own. But CW explained that while other demons will most likely never be satisfied no matter how many desires they consume, because of Danny's halfa status he may be able to. (Also it would be a bad thing if the baby starves itself. No one wants the baby to starve!)

To test out this theory, CW pulls (more than) a couple of strings, and soon his dungeon was set up in Gotham City in the DC universe.

He felt a bit bad since he had to set up shop in another ghost's/demon's territory, but Lady Gotham seemed to have taken a liking to him.

Danny takes his time searching for the most desperate person he can find, (Lady Gotham is leading him to some of the most desperate people in her city, aka the Batfam.), and appears to one of them as a fawn (signifying his hunger and current 'lack' of power). He then looks deep into their mind and offers them the power to fulfill all their desires.

The Batfam? They should be better than this, but damn they were in a tight spot and the city is going to shit because the rouges have been more active than ever, and their family is on the verge of crumbling!... And the answer to fix it all was right there, just within their reach.

They held the fawn in their arms gently. Its ivory wings, coat of starlight, and piercing Lazurus green eyes. Gotham began to change.

A few years later, some members of the JL and the JLD are once again trying their hand at clearing the dungeon but are a bit discouraged because last time their team was wiped out completely.

It was inconvenient how their powers were nullified whenever they were inside the dungeon, but they had yet to find a spell to counteract it.

In an attempt to get past the third floor, they teamed with a team called Team Phantom, which comprised two young adult siblings, their 12-year-old sister, and a few teenagers.

Morally, they were against this. No one this young should be trying to clear the dungeon! But on the other hand, this team was the closest to getting to the fourth floor.

Sucking it up, they teamed up with the young dungeon dwellers and quickly found out why they were so close to getting to the third floor.

These kids were skilled. These kids were powerful. These kids were trained. On top of that, they didn't care about their lives! Because these kids? They wouldn't- no! They couldn't die, and they were using it to their advantage.

The JL/JLD now had much more to worry about than clearing the dungeon.

saw people talking about afo having heavy eye bags due to his lack of sleep from the nightmares from his quirks and I like it.

I think he would have them covered up with either a quirk or some make up as to not make himself look weak to his enemies as it'll make his lack of sleep obvious and also for vanity reasons.

having yoichi near him while he sleeps helps as he would hold his wrist similar to how he held his wrist when they were babies as they lay next to each other and it would comfort him (thank you kstbj for this hc), I would say he gets an average of 6 hours when he can sleep at this time. not in a row he wakes up often during the night.

after yoichi died he would hold his severed hand as he slept and pretend the real yoichi was there next to him to help him sleep or else he would only be able to sleep when he felt on the verge of passing out from exhaustion. he still gets far less sleep after yoichi died than before, about 3 hours on average. I do imagine during the time when yoichi left til where he realized a part of yoichi was still around he would get no sleep for days at a time. the nightmares of yoichi falling to pieces combined with the regular nightmares would make him force himself to be awake and then hallucinations ensue from the sleep deprivation....
