OMG what if Floyd is being held hostage by Jade. Jade not being able to actually bring himself to kill his twin brother but his conscience has 0 issue with tying his brother up in his basement.

Imagine Floyd being able to hear his fiancee and Jade speaking to eachother upstairs. Hearing Jade act like the perfect brothe in-law all while he's still tied up and able to hear everything.

Or if Jade admitted to Floyd his intentions of seducing the reader, and now Floyd is aware that Jade invited Shrimpy over for less than pure things. All while he's downstairs able to hear all of it.

AAAA yes yes!!! Floyd listening to Jade comfort you when you come over. It breaks poor Floyd's heart every time he hears his dear Shrimpy crying, and it hurts that he can't be there to tell you everything's okay. >_< most of all he wants to beat the life out of Jade for acting like such a brat. >:( how dare he separate Floyd from his beloved!!!

It's not news that Jade is crazy. Perhaps Floyd suspected there would be some sort of animosity when news of the engagement inevitably reached Jade. Floyd had been hoping to talk things out sensibly. The truth of the matter is that you were never Jade's. Even in college, when the both of them had been keen to tease each other over their shared interest in you, it was clear you were always drawn to Floyd. Jade's just acting like a spoiled baby because he can't have the one thing Floyd has, and now he's gone to such extreme lengths to ensure he'll have you.

Omg Floyd's already angry when he hears Jade putting on the whole grieving brother act, but he's livid when he has to sit helpless in the basement and listen to Jade rail you upstairs. T_T all of your sweet sounds and love cries... the way you gasp Jade's name... it irritates Floyd that he can't get out of these bindings. If he could, he'd be upstairs so quickly. Alas, he's left to listen and stew in his anger. And of course Jade's so annoying about it when he comes downstairs some time later, freshly showered and sporting a pretty hickey. Smiling at Floyd and telling him, "You're right. (Name) really is the sweetest treat." Ohhhhh, Floyd wants Jade dead!!!! He's just itching for an ass-beating. Floyd practically snarls his threats. As soon as he's out of these bindings, it's over for Jade.

But that will never happen. :)

i refuse to believe it didn't tear sirius apart to leave home. i refuse to believe he didn't pack his bags with a straight face and run away, only to collapse and break down inconsolably when he made it to james's house. he'd escaped, but he left regulus behind. he left his brother. his baby boy.

why did it take him so long to leave home? if regulus wasn't there, he would've left years before. but he couldn't leave his brother behind. i can't even fathom how hard it was for him to leave, even if it was better for him. i imagine james offered sirius refuge year after year and was rejected time and time again.

leaving regulus tore sirius apart piece by piece. the guilt of leaving overwhelmed him and it never failed to collapse any happiness he found at the potter's, even years later. he never truly recovered from running away.

can we talk about the choice to make luther the one with the music. here is a portrait of seven five siblings. none of them are in each others lives anymore. theyre dragged back together by their fathers funeral and find themselves nearly strangers, and none of them are particularly interested in changing that. but luther. luther wants them to be a team. he resents them for leaving and he resents them for not wanting to stay and solve this mystery. he is The Leader and as The Leader its his job to bring the gang back together and absolutely nobody is the least bit interested in heeding him.

but then. the first time that theres an indication that these people do have potential to be a family again. and its because luther plays a song.

its so beautiful. they could have given the music collection to any of them!! wouldn't it feel so in character for it to have been allison or klaus? or, for that matter, viktor? but they gave it to luther. the hardass who has been annoyed with everyone this whole time, the guy who is taking this all too seriously, THATS the one they give the 80s pop music to.

because he wants them to work together. and the show tells us yes, he he has that power, to help heal his family. but only by being a person with a music collection who does goofy dances and loves model planes. and not by being a superhero

I personally like Thunder's prosthetic. Explained it to my friend (who does use a mobility device, a cane and wheelchair, and listens to me rant and infodump about BB) and they agreed, it's important to know that not every person needs what someone wants to give them. It's another example of "bad ableist person does a thing that hurts a disabled person because they are bad and ableist".

Clear Sky got Jagged Peak killed and would have killed Sunlit Frost! He would absolutely force his disabled son to be "normal" and present it like a privilege. "I wouldn't do this for anyone else, it's special, why don't you want to be helped?"

Thunder Storm should toss it in Clear Sky's face. (I would say toss it into the river but we do not pollute waterways in this house)

Since BB!DOTC tackles some of the heaviest topics in the entire series because its canon equivalent is so dark, I think very carefully about what I do here and how I show it. I take feedback on its sensitive aspects very seriously. If I'm understanding the criticism properly, it's that I should avoid stigmatizing prosthetics by making sure Thunder Storm's not the only one with it-- which he's not! And I'll add even more.

I don't want to avoid something only because it's uncomfortable if the topic is important, and my portrayal is respectful. Ableism IS uncomfortable! There are some situations where a prosthetic is not wanted! I think the rejection of this particular one is both a good opportunity to show a type of ableism and ALSO is very fitting for the characters.

In BB!Clear Sky's mind, the villain, he's fixing an old mistake. He can't admit that he got Jagged Peak killed or take REAL accountability for it (though he will, occasionally, apologize insincerely), but deep in his bones, he knows what he did was cruel. He'll never tell anyone this because he doesn't really cognate it himself, but Thunder Storm NEEDS to take his gift.

If Thunder doesn't take it, it blows a hole in his newest story. You see, throwing Jagged Peak out was All That Could Have Been Done back then. It was a Tragedy and he simply Made A Hard Choice. He regrets it very much, But You Have To Understand.

But now? Now? Well, behold. Look at what he's accomplished since the tragic death of his little brother. His cats are well-fed, cared for, and stable enough to make such incredible advancements. If only Jagged Peak had been able to hold on longer, if only he could be here now, I could fix him.

Just like I can (MAKE YOU JUST LIKE ME) fix you.

"Everything I've ever done is for Jagged Peak. For Fluttering Wing. For you." Thunder Sky is SPECIAL, but if he rejects any gift, tries to turn down the "privileges" offered to him, in an instant that becomes ungratefulness and arrogance. He both forces him to be special, and then leverages it against him if it's rejected. "Spoiled brat, doesn't appreciate what I've worked so hard to give him."

It all goes back to him and his own guilt. He can NEVER be wrong. He can't accept his family doesn't have to be "normal" or reflect his own ability. He won't see himself as a bully, let alone a murderer. It was never about his son's comfort or finding out what Thunder Storm wants or needs, it was about his own ego.

...All that said I'm still taking feedback if there's anything else I should keep in mind, or if anyone has a counter point, especially if you also have experience here.

So there probably aren’t DC Superhero movies in the DC universe, right? Like there would just be a ton of legal issues or they would remind people of that tragic event where half of a major city died, right?

Well I propose that there is a single franchise that features the DC superheroes in their universe. And that would be the Lego movies. It starts with some executive featuring them to show how big the threat is when Superman gets taken out with chewing gum. Then it morphs into Batman being the edgy-lancer-ex-boyfriend to Emmet and Wyldstyle.

Of course when Bruce Wayne hears about this, he decided to have a field day. It’s a close decision, but between Bruce and Will Arnett, Bruce wins the role of Batman in the movie.

It is a struggle, but he manages to hide it from most of his kids, only Tim and Barbara finding out and immediately deciding to help with this train wreck. The real struggle is convincing his kids to go to the red carpet premiere with him.

The second Batman is on the screen, his kids all turn to him. The looks on their faces range from horror to overwhelming joy to completely done with his shit.
