30 years ago, one of the DCU's brightest heroes fell from grace, driven over the edge by his failure to save Coast City and millions of people. In the famed EMERALD TWILIGHT storyline, Hal Jordan became PARALLAX in the wake of Coast City being annihilated. After that, he almost succeeded in refashioning the entire DC timeline and resetting reality to restore his home in the ZERO HOUR event. Luckily, the heroes prevailed and destroyed this villain and timeline for good…or so we thought. Green Lantern Kyle Rayner is about to discover Hal and his vision have survived, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their world prevails!
Writers Dan Jurgens and Ron Marz return to the world of Zero Hour with an art team comprised of all-star DC talent to celebrate this landmark anniversary. What repercussions will their story today have for those of tomorrow?

Hanami drawing above the lost and found box: "Cherish nature!" Bottom corner: "Waterer Hanami 🌼"
Above the yellow sheet that says "Musical" is a Mechamaru magnet. Unfortunately I can't read the sheet, but someone on Twitter probably will figure it out?
The chalkboard has, "Whose is this?" Since it's next to the lost and found that makes sense.
...People have pointed out that the handkerchief hanging on the board has an airplane pattern. 😭

Top left award is is 2nd place for "All Japan Glass Heart Competition"
Second one is "30th - City Little League - Champion - August 15, 2018"
Unfortunately can't make out the third and can only read that it says "Runner-up" on the fourth trophy.
The top shelf has a bunch of dictionary/study books with pandas on them. 🐼
The little box in the middle is "Medaka Spawning Box" which is like a little fish egg breeder. A reference to the Culling Game? (Ironically labelled "NEW" even though someone wrote April 2004 on it. Lol.) The label also says "Ken's" which may be a reference to Takaba's encouraging senpai.
Hanging on the side is Inumaki's megaphone!!
Tumblr media
Ahh haha the return of the aiai-gasa/umbrella with Okkotsu and Rika's names. Last time we saw this was on the desk in the "give it back" ED. ❤️

AAAAA I FORGOT ABOUT TALK SHOP TUESDAY— (I did actually remember last week but I was so exhausted I simply Could Not) So, have a Talk Shop Wednesday ask. XD Hopefully it will lift your spirits a bit. I have two questions to make up for missing last week.
1. (Technically this is more than one question but whatever.) What toppings do the Ways like on pizza? Do they argue over them? Do they get half-and-half pizzas (e.g., half with pepperoni and half with pineapple?
2. When are the Ways' birthdays, that you know of? I remember that Max's is in August, at least in Annaáuchiwee canon. (I don't remember if you said at the time if it was canon or if you extrapolated on it at all.)
^_^
The Ways are pretty much basic guys. Food is food. XD When they order pizzas they order at least one for everyone, some combination of pepperoni, vegetable, and meat lovers, I imagine. Silver probably likes pineapple on his pizza, though.
Oh I sat down and hashed out birthdays awhile ago. XD
Nell is March 25th 1964, Max is August 10th 1989, Birdie is July 6th 1990, Riser is April 12th 1992, Cary is March 16th 1993, Ken is February 15th 1994, twins November 11th 1996, Allan is January 25th 1997, Silver is October 8th 2009
Nikki January 5th, Mattie January 30th or 31st, Macai November 6th, Alma October 21st
Thanks for the ask!

Celebrating Three Decades of Cosmic Chaos: DC’s Zero Hour 30th-Anniversary Special
Tumblr media
As the hands of the cosmic clock tick towards a momentous milestone, DC Comics prepares to unleash a celebration like no other. This August, fans old and new will converge on comic book stores to witness the release of the Zero Hour 30th-Anniversary Special—an oversized issue that promises to rekindle the embers of one of the most pivotal events in the DC Universe. Zero Hour, a storyline that sent shockwaves through the fabric of comic book storytelling, marks its 30th anniversary with a special issue that not only honors the past but also sets the stage for new adventures. The original event, known for its dramatic reshaping of the DC timeline, saw Hal Jordan—once one of the DCU’s brightest heroes—succumb to darkness as Parallax, driven by grief and a desperate desire to undo the destruction of Coast City. This anniversary special, priced at $9.99 with a variant card stock cover available for the same price, is penned by the legendary Dan Jurgens and Ron Marz, with art from an all-star team including Darryl Banks, Jerry Ordway, Paul Pelletier, and Kelley Jones. The cover art, crafted by Jurgens and Ordway, encapsulates the grandeur of the original series, while variant covers by Alan Quah and Ken Lashley, and a 1:25 variant cover by Dan Hipp, offer fans a diverse visual feast.
Tumblr media
The narrative picks up in the aftermath of Zero Hour, with Green Lantern Kyle Rayner discovering that Hal Jordan’s vision—and perhaps Parallax himself—has survived. What unfolds is a tale that explores the complex relationship between Rayner and Jordan, once adversaries, now allies. This 80-page journey is not just a nostalgic trip down memory lane but a bridge to the future, posing the question: What repercussions will today’s story have for the heroes of tomorrow? The Zero Hour 30th Anniversary Special is more than a commemorative issue; it’s a testament to the enduring legacy of DC Comics and its ability to evolve while respecting its rich history. As we count down to its release on August 28th, the anticipation builds for what is sure to be a landmark addition to the DC canon. Are you ready to witness the rebirth of a cosmic legend? The Zero Hour is upon us once again, and its impact promises to be timeless.

B-17G Flying Fortress Big Yank of 483rd Bombardment Group.
Douglas-built B-17G-50-DL Flying Fortress "Big Yank" (44-6405) of the 15th Air Force, 483rd Bombardment Group, 840th Bombardment Squadron, is shown sometime after its 30th mission in March 1945. The names Ken/Jack-D appear on the chin turret. Assigned to the 15th Air Force on August 17, 1944, Italian artist Mario Rucci was commissioned by the plane's crew chief, Irvin H. Davis, to paint the visage of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. On March 24, 1945, this plane was commanded by Lieutenant William S. Strapko for an attack on Berlin, the longest escorted bombing mission of World War II. Jumped by Messerschmitt Me-262 jet fighters, "Big Yank's" top turret gunner, Staff Sergeant Howard Wehner, shot down one and tail gunner, Staff sergeant Lincoln Broyhill, shot down two. "Big Yank" shared credit for a fourth aircraft probably shot down. The aircraft carried crews home from 50 missions before the surrender of Germany. The 840th was disbanded in Pisa, Italy in September 1945 and the aircraft returned to the United States as part of the "Green Project" that returned American servicemen home. Later "Big Yank" was converted for Air-Sea Rescue duty, and dropped a life raft to at least one pilot in the Adriatic. She was scrapped in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on December 28, 1945.

It's August 30th, and it's another trios tag team match scheduled for The Elite of Duel Academy. Jackson Corvus, Yuki Hyoudou, and Kai Murassame know they have to do something special for their entrance this time, but they can't think of what to do. That is, until Tali boots up Street Fighter. The three young men share a smile. August 30th is the anniversary of Street Fighter's debut to the world. Now they not only have an idea, but one hell of a plan.
The three Obelisk boys all frowned whilst sitting at a table in Jackson’s dorm room. There were crumpled up piece of paper, as the three dragon duelists tried to come up with what their next flashy entrance should be.
Yuki had been absentmindedly doodling, when Tali peeked over his shoulder. The Russian sorceress blinked in surprise, as her friend had drawn her from her duel against Chazz the week previous. For an absentminded sketch, it was very impressive. Tapping Yuki’s shoulder to get his attention, Tali motioned to the sketch of her. “May I keep that?”
The three looked to Yuki’s sketch, to which Jackson whistled lowly and Kai nodded his approval. Smiling bashfully, Yuki quickly handed the drawing over to Tali.
Smiling, A frame suddenly appeared about the drawing. No doubt Tali’s magic. And after giving her Dorgoi Drakon’s cheek an affectionate kiss, she moved herself over to the large comfortable couch a few feet away, eager to try out one of the video games he liked so much.
“Guys...” Kai was rubbing his temples, as an hour of sitting about, and coming up with nothing was starting to give him a headache. “This isn’t...” He stopped short, when the sounds of Jackson’s television got not only his but Jackson and Yuki’s attention.
The three turned to one another, with huge grins on their faces having seen the main screen of Street Fighter V. The three duelists knew just what they were going to do!
XxXxXxX
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Duel Academy! We now invite you to enjoy our main event! Please welcome at this time, the Dragons of Justice!” Dr. Crowler said into his microphone, standing in the center of the Obelisk Arena’s dueling platform.
The packed crowd of students erupted into cheers, however they were not greeted by the usual theme of the DoJ. But instead a far different theme. The confusion soon vanished however, as Jackson and Kai appeared from the main entrance tunnel dressed respectively as Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter. However, they were still one member short. And there was a murmur of anticipation from the crowd, as they wondered where Yuki could possibly be.
The lights in the arena suddenly shut off, and then...
Tumblr media
Excited cheers erupted from the crowd, as the lights came back on. And there Yuki stood, dressed as Akuma from the dark gi, to the red wig.

1997 - This Year in Gaming
Muggins here was born in ‘97, and can’t really remember much of it, natch. But there were some good things released this year - I’ve played every one of these, and have missed so many more.
Diablo - Windows, January 3rd
We start with dungeon-crawl-em-up and well-loved out of season April Fool’s Joke, Diablo. I’ll be totally honest - I don’t like Diablo that much. It’s absolutely fine, I just can’t get into it. The writing, setting and characters are all very good especially since this year only marks the beginning of games being seen as a bit more adult and intelligent. Check out this gameplay from Hour of Oblivion on YouTube, and marvel at the faux-Scottish accent on Griswold the blacksmith.
youtube
Mario Kart 64 - Nintendo 64, February 10th
Compared to its more recent versions, Mario Kart 64 is a veritable bloody relic of the past - solid controls and a quirky style mean it’s still a crowd pleaser to this day, but you’d be hard pressed to find anyone right now that would die on the hill of it being their favourite single-player racing experience. It’s also got some of the deepest, impenetrable lore in any medium known to the human race - why exactly is Marty the Thwomp locked up here?
Tumblr media
Blast Corps - Nintendo 64, February 28th
February’s position as most boring month of the year is shaken up a bit by having a uniquely designed Rare game slammed into its 28-day long face. Blast Corps is the puzzle-action game where you take control of several vehicles to destroy homes and buildings in order to prevent a nuclear warhead exploding in the coolest incarnation of Cold War politicking ever seen in a video game. Calling Blast Corps a “hidden gem” these days is like calling Celeste a hidden gem - it impresses nobody and makes you look like a dick.
Tumblr media
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter - Nintendo 64, March 4th
The N64 was home to a surprisingly large number of above-average shooters despite its muddy graphics and small cartridge space - Turok is one of these, a great FPS game where you shoot the SHIT out of dinosaurs. Brett Atwood of Billboard said it was like Doom and Tomb Raider mixed - Doom Raider, if you will. I say it isn’t - there’s no demons, and there’s no polygonal breasts to poke dinosaurs’ eyes out with!
Tumblr media
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Sony PlayStation, March 20th
What is a retrospective? A miserable little pile of opinions. I’ve only recently played through SotN for the very first time on a TOTALLY LEGITIMATE copy with a CRT filter. Bloody good (geddit?) game, that takes the repetition of its predecessors, improves on it in basically every conceivable way, and combines it with special effects and graphics that even 23 years later had me going “ooh, that looks quite good!” Symphony’s music and audio design are wonderfully paired with a deeply enjoyable experience that’ll have you saying “mm, maybe just one more room?”
Tumblr media
Tekken 3 - Sony PlayStation, March 20th
Also releasing from the Land of the Rising Sun that day was Tekken 3, which many believe is still one of the best fighters ever made. Tekken 3′s combat is so fast and responsive that it’s better than some games made today. T3 is also the best and easiest way to knock seven shades of absolute shite out of your friends without risking a massive head injury or a trip to the headmaster’s office... where you could also challenge him, but only if he plays as my favourite Not-Guile-or-Ken character in gaming, Paul.
Tumblr media
Sonic Jam - Sega Saturn, June 20th
The moment Sega realised that re-packaging old Mega Drive games would net them serious cash - although unlike later collections, this is a strictly Sonic affair, and has a neat little 3D world to run around in as a sort of hub world. Sonic X-Treme proved that Sonic Team would have to work hard at getting the fastest thing alive into 3D space properly: Jam is the sort of test ground for it too. It features some genuinely good emulation work for 1997, although it’s basically the gaming equivalent of going round to your grandparents at Christmas only for them to give you the exact same gifts you got in 1991, 1992 and 1994 but wrapped in a bow to make you think it’s different. What are you lookin’ at, you little blue devil?
Tumblr media
Star Fox 64 - Nintendo 64, June 30th
So there’s this German company, right, called StarVox. Nintendo look at Europe and say “shit, we don’t want another lawsuit... after all, we’ve done three this year!”. So they give us in the PAL region the exciting title of Lylat Wars which as far as I know means absolutely fucking nothing in the context of the game. They’re still called Star Fox in-game too so what was the point? Anyway, fun 3D shooter with graphics that’ll make you do a barrel roll off the sofa and onto the power button to make the brown and green blurs a little easier on the eyes. Hello 2007, I’ve come back to make old references with you!
Tumblr media
Carmageddon - Windows, July 30th
The game so scary it was BANNED in the UK! More like the game so fucking shit it was banned. Carmageddon is so deeply boring to play on PC that I can only imagine that Stainless Games made it tasteless by 90s standards simply to ramp up demand - much like another game we’ll be covering soon.
Tumblr media
Herc’s Adventures - Sony PlayStation, July 31st
“And they said Kratos was the best hero? Shish... they got it wrong, sister! Hercules is clearly better... he even has a coconut weapon.” A surprisingly fun overhead action game that most people only know for... well, I’ll just embed it.
youtube
Mega Man X4 - Sony Playstation, August 1st
A few years ago I tried playing every Mega Man game there is - I gave up at X3 because I was getting bored. Even still, Mega Man bores me - but at least the level design is good. Stay away from the Windows port. Pictured: me in the background yawning.
Tumblr media
GoldenEye 007 - Nintendo 64, August 25th
The name’s Intro. Overused intro which I also managed to fuck up twice through the deeply editable medium of text. GoldenEye is like the Seinfeld of console shooters - playing it nowadays you’re unlikely to be amazed but holy shit there’s some absolute greatness in this game. Every sound and every piece of music in GoldenEye is permanently seared into my brain - sometimes I’ll just hear Facility or Frigate in my head alongside the door opening sound and the gentle PEW of the PP7. I mean come on, fucking listen to this and tell me Grant Kirkhope isn’t cool as all hell.
youtube
LEGO Island - Windows, September 26th
The first open world experience I ever had was LEGO Island. It’s still quite good today, utterly deranged animation from the likes of the Infomaniac and Brickster - a cautionary tale for children that giving pizza to high-profile criminals is disastrous for the human LEGO race.
Tumblr media
Fallout - Windows, October 10th
War never changes, but franchises do. Fallout’s legendary status in the industry is exemplified in how different it feels. Yes, we had the game Wasteland nine years prior, but until September 97 there was nothing quite like Fallout. From the chilling introduction sequence showing the ruins of the United States to the tragic ending, Fallout is an exercise in pure human misery with the brightest spots of hope it can possibly muster thrown in for good measure. What begins as a tedious isometric point-and-click RPG ends as a minigun-wielding power fantasy, before your entire worth is stripped from you at the finish line. You have 500 days to find a water chip before it’s too late, but you’re constantly being fought by terrifying Super Mutants, irradiated animals, and the biggest monster of all - humanity. See what I did there? If anything, humanity in Fallout’s setting would be the greatest unifying force possible against the horror of the outside world. But how is it? It’s dull, it’s sluggish, and it’s really hard to get into even if you’re already a fan - but push through that and it’s worthwhile to see exactly how far the series got before Todd Howard said “eh fuck it” and had the whole thing dipped into an FEV vat.
Tumblr media
Grand Theft Auto - Sony PlayStation, October 21st
To put it simply, the first in the GTA series is now nothing but a novelty. It has an irritating camera, wonky controls, poor graphics and deeply repetitive gameplay. But thank fuck it exists, because without it the Rockstar story may have been very different indeed. It’s quintessential cops and robbers gameplay, spanning across Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas in one game, but with maps so far removed from their modern incarnations they may as well be named “Not New York, Possibly Bristol and Orange Town”. People really fucking hated Hare Krishnas in the 20th Century, didn’t they?
Tumblr media
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Sony PlayStation, October 31
A hard one to talk about, honestly - it’s more Crash and better than the first one. It looks great, and Crash controls so well compared to his first outing. It’ll also keep you playing for 100%, fiendishly addictive and unashamedly difficult. Had a weird cover that moved with your head.
Tumblr media
PaRappa the Rapper - Sony PlayStation, November 17th
Type type type the words into the box! (Type, type, type - uh oh - the box?)
PaRappa is a gorgeously stylised rhythm game about rapping to steal the heart of the girl of your dreams - which involves learning karate, getting your driver’s license, selling bottle caps and frogs, making a cake, desperately trying not to shit yourself, and finally performing live on stage. Every one of its segments is so well-produced that they’d genuinely sell like ghost cookies in this era of shite rap. Notable for producing the greatest Jay-Z backing track ever made.
youtube
Sonic R - Sega Saturn, November 18th
Sonic R is absolutely FINE with vibrant textures, interesting levels, neat gimmicks and decent controls. But I’m gonna talk about its fucking AWESOME soundtrack by Richard Jacques and T.J. Davis, an eclectic mix of Europop and New Jack Swing - even thinking about it is bringing tears of absolute joy to my eyes hearing Super Sonic Racing in my head. You’ve got the main theme, Living in the City, Can You Feel the Sunshine, Back in Time, Diamond in the Sky, Work It Out and Number One - all of these are absolute club bangers and genuinely wouldn’t be out of place in a 90s disco.
youtube
Tomb Raider II - Sony PlayStation, November 18th
Lara Croft returns to single-handedly endanger every species on Earth. TR2 is really good, the exploration and puzzle-solving aspects of the first game expanded upon here and the gunplay remaining just as punchy. Lara’s got a fully-functioning ponytail which absolutely boggles the fucking mind - a lot of work went into Lara’s hair for the 2013 reboot, so I can’t imagine the amount of man hours it took to get fluid(ish, come on, it’s the PS1 we’re talking about) hair movements in 1997.
Tumblr media
And really, that’s all I played from 1997. I’ve left out big hitters like Quake II, Gran Turismo and Diddy Kong Racing, but I simply haven’t formed an opinion on them yet. Maybe in a future post.
Thanks for reading.

Four Years | Year Three - “October 31st, 2016″
a/n: thank you so much for reading and the support on this fic! The last chapter for the third year will come out on Thursday! <3
Year One | Year Two
January 9th, 2016 | January 24th, 2016 | March 3rd, 2016 | March 30th, 2016 | April 10th, 2016 |  May 17th, 2016 | June 16th, 2016 | July 28th, 2016 | August 26th, 2016
It was officially our first Halloween as a family of three — well, four technically. I knew Jamie had been counting down the days until we would all take Fergus out trick or treating.
I was just putting the finishing touches to my costume, Morticia Addams, when Jamie knocked on the bathroom door.
“Are ye almost ready?” He stood in the doorway, his hair slicked and sprayed black, and of course he had Gomez Addam’s signature mustache.
“Almost,” I smiled and finished applying my red lipstick. I’d done the best I could with what limited makeup I owned, and my skin was already pale so that was a plus.
“You look beautiful, Sassenach,” he came up behind me, staring at me in the mirror. “Or should I say… Morticia.”
Standing up, I showed off my costume, it was a simple long sleeved black dress, much like one that Morticia would wear. I had been looking at costumes for almost a month and Jamie had wanted me to pick one with a really deep V.
“What about this one?” He turned his phone around to show me a dress with a plunging neckline.
“Jamie…” I blinked at him. “You do realize that I’m pregnant, and a mother of a three year old. I can’t be walking around the street like some hussy!”
“But you’re my hussy,” Jamie pouted, his bottom lip sticking out. “Come on, Sassenach, you’d look so sexy in it.”
“I wouldn’t be able to even fit in that thing,” I rolled my eyes. “My boobs would be popping out,” I looked at him. “But that’s probably what you want hmmm?”
“Not just that,” he furrowed his brow and went back to looking at his phone. “I just really think you can pull it off.”
“Nope, sorry babe,” I sighed. “What about this one?” I showed him my phone, a plain black dress with a deep enough V down the front that I hoped would appease him.
“Hmmm,” he took the phone to get a closer look. “It’s nice.”
“Nice?” I laughed. “Jamie, I’m not getting one with a deeper neckline and that’s that so you take this or leave it.”
“Oh, so if I say no to this one then ye’ll go naked then?” He tried to wink and moved forward towards me on the couch, with one thought on his mind.
“No,” I giggled when his hands found my sides, fingers moving rapidly. “I didn’t say that!”
“Get that wee dress ye want, Sassenach,” Jamie kissed my neck. “And take off these damn clothes now!”
I was happy with my dress choice, and apparently Jamie was too. His hands now slid to my side, his eyes looking down at my stomach between us.
“Are you alright?” I asked when he didn’t say anything.
“Yes,” he grinned and then slid one hand over my small bump. “The dress just shows off yer wee belly so nice. It’s a lovely sight to see, Sassenach.”
“It’s probably the most snug dress I’ve worn in years,” I took a deep breath then, as if the material was in fact crushing my lungs. “I kind of can’t wait to take it off tonight.”
“I’ll help with that,” Jamie smiled and kissed my cheek, knowing not to mess up my newly applied lipstick.
“And you look rather dashing, Gomez,” I smiled and placed my hands on his velvet suit jacket. It was a dark maroon color. “I can’t wait to take you out of that tonight either.”
“Too bad we have to go out,” he sighed, pressing his forehead against mine. “I’d press ye up against the wall, but I’m practicing my self control.”
“Oh are you now?” I laughed. “Well done then, babe.”
“Maaaaaaaa!” Came a small voice from the hall and I pulled away from Jamie.
“That’ll be the penguin,” I smiled and grabbed my small purse off the bathroom counter and went to find our son.
He’d insisted on being a penguin whenever we told him what Halloween was. We told him he could dress up as anything he wanted in the whole wide world and he still chose to be a penguin. When I found him just outside our door, my heart nearly leapt out of my chest.
“Oh, darling! You are so cute!” He was dressed in a small penguin costume and had red cheeks to match. His curly hair helped tie the whole thing together and he reached his arms up for me to pick him up. “I don’t think I can carry you anymore, you’re getting a bit big for Mama.”
Jamie came and picked him up, setting him against his hip. I hadn’t been able to pick him up for a few weeks ever since my belly had started to grow. He loved to sit with me and press his ear against my stomach, listening to his baby sister’s heartbeat. Jamie and I had wanted everything about this pregnancy to go smoothly, which meant taking things easy.
“Treat?” He echoed our words from earlier, placing his hand on his little tummy.
“Oui, monsieur!” Jamie smiled and started to bounce him around. “Maman will carry your wee bucket and we’ll get ye some treats lad.”
“Treat! Treat!” He smiled and with that we were off, walking out the door and out to join the rest of our neighbors on the street. It was pretty early in the night, just 5pm and we’d said we’d only be out for an hour.
A few other trick or treaters passed us on the sidewalk. A little girl dressed as a princess, a small boy as a mouse and then a mum and dad dressed as Captain America and what could only be a female version of Thor, cape and all.
I always loved Halloween. Or Samhain as it was better known over here. The smells of autumn and the changing colors of the trees. Jamie had grown up listening to Scottish fables about ghosts and witches and he wasn’t too keen on the idea of taking Fergus out, but came around when I told him who I wanted to dress up as.
The first house we went to handed out snickers and we collected a couple of those. I was hoping for some Twix bars, my favorite. Fergus wouldn’t possibly be able to eat all his candy, nor did he need it all, so Jamie and I would take out half and hide it in a secret stash for us later.
“Can ye press the button?” Jamie asked Fergus while holding him up to press the doorbell.
“Trick or treat!” Jamie said for a shy Fergus and held up the bucket where more candy was thrown in.
Our little penguin wanted to hold both our hands, so we walked down the rest of the street with him in the middle.
We passed our neighbors, waving hi and chatting with them briefly. It was nice to get out and see everyone, join in on the festivities. I knew that in a few years, Fergus wouldn’t want to trick or treat with us anymore, but instead go out with his friends, so I was savoring up every moment of it.
I looked over at Jamie, smiling, “Just think… next year we’ll have our daughter with us.”
“We can dress her up too!” Jamie said excitedly and I could see the possible costume ideas flitting through his mind.
“Please don’t say as a pumpkin,” I laughed.
“But she’d be sae cute as a wee pumpkin, Sassenach…” Jamie tilted his head to the side. “But we dinna have to decide now, we have plenty of time for that.”
We visited a few more houses, nearly filling up Fergus’s bucket to the top and decided that we should return home to start getting Fergus ready for bed. He yawned as Jamie lifted him up onto his shoulders.
I took a few photos, wanting to always remember this night. Our house was warm whenever we entered it and I welcomed the heat. As the sun had gone down, it’d gotten colder as well and this dress was pretty thin.
“Bath time wee lad,” Jamie said, taking Fergus down from his shoulders. “Need to wipe that stuff off yer cheeks then ye can have a piece of candy before bed.” I looked over at him, eyes wide — candy before bed would just keep him awake.
“Ah, come on, Sassenach. Tis Halloween, the lad needs at least one piece of candy.”
“One,” I squinted my eyes at him. “And I’ll know if he has any more than that.”
“Aye, one piece,” he grinned and swept Fergus off to take a bath while I went to our room to scrub my face.
Fifteen minutes later, still in my dress, I walked upstairs to find Jamie lifting Fergus out of the bath and wrapping him up in a towel. “Alright lad, Mam said one piece of candy tonight and one piece only. We canna disobey her or she’ll ken it.”
I hid myself behind the door and watched them, trying not to laugh.
“More?”
“Tomorrow,” Jamie grinned and dressed him for bed, sitting him down on his bed. He then pulled out a tiny snickers bar and unwrapped it for him. “Enjoy that.”
Fergus happily started to munch on the chocolate and I decided to let myself be seen and walked into his room.
“One piece right?” I asked Jamie, smirking as I sat down on my knees beside him.
“Of course, a nighean,” he nodded at Fergus who nodded back.
Once Fergus finished the snickers, I took him to brush his teeth, making sure to get every crevice of his mouth before leading him back to bed to tuck him in.
“Goodnight my little munchkin,” I kissed his nose.
“Goodnight my wee lad,” Jamie followed, kissing his nose, something we had started doing every night.
“Nigh night,” he grinned back, waving his little hand as we walked out of the room, leaving the door propped halfway open.
“I’d call that a pretty successful first Halloween,” Jamie said softly as we made it out of earshot of Fergus’s room.
“Yes,” I smiled, pushing open the door to our room. “It was actually. No drama or fussing.”
“I think he was just so excited,” Jamie said and started to unbutton his shirt — he’d already taken off his velvet jacket when we first came in.
“Can you help me with my zipper?” I asked him, standing with my back to him and he came over, his shirt now lying on the ground.
“It’d be my pleasure,” he kissed the back of my neck and his fingers found the zipper, tugging and pulling on it. I was standing in front of the full length mirror we had in our bedroom, watching the material fall from my shoulders. Once the zipper was fully down, he pushed it down my arms and helped me step out of it.
“Yer so beautiful, Claire,” he kissed the back of my neck again, his eyes looking at my body in the mirror. His hands found the clasp of my bra next and he unhooked it, and I let it fall to the ground. “And all mine… mon amour.”
“Oooo, I like it when you talk French to me,” I blushed and squirmed only a little when his hands traveled down my side and hooked into my black panties.
“Je vais te manger,” he said into my ear and my stomach twisted at knots and the thought of him ravishing me… or more correctly — eat me up. My panties slid down my legs and I was left bare, staring at myself in the mirror. Jamie’s hands came up and cupped both breasts, softly kneading them.
“When yer belly is full wi’ child… God, Claire, I want to weep wi’ how beautiful ye look,” he said and slid one hand to cover my stomach. “Knowin’ that we’ve been give a second chance…”
I covered his hand with mine, squeezing it tight. “It’s a miracle, Jamie.”
“You’re a miracle,” he kissed my shoulder and then met my eye in the mirror. Without a word, he slid his hand from my belly to between my legs which I parted for him. His finger teased my entrance, already wet for him.
“Je t’aime,” Jamie said and placed another kiss to my other shoulder. His bare chest pressed against my back and I felt his nipples hard on my skin and his thick cock against my lower back.
“Tha gaol agam ort,” I replied and then his finger slid inside of me. My lips parted and I watched as he began to slowly pull me to pieces. Jamie was still wearing pants, and this was clearly just for my pleasure, but I knew he enjoyed it too.
I couldn’t take my eyes off of his face watching his hand in between my legs. It was the most erotic thing I’d ever seen in my life, seeing the way he bit his lip and his cock twitched behind me.
He added another finger and his other hand still on my breast flicked my sensitive nipples. I was close and he knew it. His hand never faltered and my orgasm raced through my body, making my body tremble against his. Jamie held me to him, watching as my body racked with small spasms.
“Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ,” I muttered whenever I regained consciousness and looked at him.
“Just me, Sassenach,” he smiled and I turned in his arms. “Now, what do you say we watch a scary Halloween movie?”
“And by watching you mean….” I smirked, my hands already on the waistband of his trousers.
“I mean watch the movie, a nighean,” his eyes widened. “I’d no take advantage of a pregnant lady!”
“Oh, but I made no promises to not take advantage of you,” I growled and pressed my lips to his.
We ended up on our bed, limbs entwined and hearts racing with The Addams Family playing quietly in the background. It was a happy Halloween after all…

Excited to announce a movie I worked on called Killerman will be released in the USA on August 30th. I’m incredibly proud of the work everyone did on it. It was an absolute honor to work with my friend Emory Cohen again, one of my favorite actors, Malik Bader, an extremely creative and intelligent director, and the brilliant Ken Seng for his work as Director of Photography. Blood, sweat and tears were shed from all who were involved. Independent film making is always a tough thing to pull off and I just want to thank all the hard-working people who helped make it happen. - Liam Hemsworth via Instagram.
