I used The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit deck by Kim Krans. This deck is advice heavy (even if unwanted, literally did that to me right before your reading 😒) and focuses on the negative so you can create the positive from it.

Here is your 3-Card Reading:

Card #1: The Octopus

This card is complex. It means messy relationships and oversharing at the wrong times. This is a weakness in this industry. Do not assume everyone has your best interest at heart. Speaking from personal & professional experience, the theatre & film industries are ruthless. People will use your weaknesses against you. You must be weary of colleagues and keep your guard up. This is a job and people will do what they can to climb the later. Do not overshare and be slow to trust. Do not give trust until it is earned. You must be tough and be able to handle rejection, because you will be rejected over and over again. Learn from it, use it. Do not mistake prying for casual conversation because then you are risking burnout or blacklisting. If you are cautious and set boundaries with those around you then you will thrive.

Card #2: The Crocodile

This card emphasizes the power and strength in patience. Listen to those around you, observe, be quiet, learn, and you will do well. Once you begin to stop and find the power in waiting you will be able to better identify opportunities coming your way. You will have something big, if you are smart and strong enough to wait for it. Do not misunderstand this card, being idle is of no use. You must work and learn. Networking, influence, and reputation is everything in this industry. Use it to your advantage and just like the crocodile: strike when the time is right and you will find what you seek.

Card #3: The Mouse

This card wants you to know that you are a perfectionist and an over-thinker. It is telling you that this will not serve you well in this industry. It is better to go out and audition for roles that might not fit, rather than not go at all. There is not waiting and wanting in this industry, just doing. Do not get caught up on the details or you will miss opportunities. Be true and do the best you can, but do not dwell on minor things. Big things are coming if you are ready when they arrive. Don’t be nervous, be confident even when your resume is wrong or your headshot printed poorly. Only you know what you are capable of, so you must show your potential without worrying about the little things.

When you draw The Hermit most often it is time to retreat into the self. Perhaps it's time to turn off the background noise and spend alone time with your thoughts. Perhaps there is an internal wisdom you are close to reaching, if only you cut off distractions. The answers are within you, and you are your own mentor. Perhaps you might even be an inadvertent mentor to others who see your understanding of yourself as an admirable character trait, something to which they aspire.
