Me explaining that the snake miraculous is an ouroboros bracelet, and that ouroboros represents, among other things, a never ending cycle of creation and destruction, and that the ouroboros from the alchemy text "The Chrysopoeia" being black and white might relate to a gnostic concept that's an analogous to the Ying and Yang, which in consequence can take us to the conclusion that Lukadrinette it's not only a cute ship, but it also would fit in the symbolic aspects that are more than present in the show. Maribug represents the Yang, Adrichat the Yin, and Luka | Viperion (do we have an official combination for his names?) would represent their balance. All of them fitting so well with each other, and vibing when they're together would have a deeper meaning and symbolism than just them being friends.

Rewatching the E-Soul PV, and I noticed this shadow guy whose helmet and weapon is similar to Yang Cheng’s:

the only difference is the color scheme and the blade being on YC’s left. But I’m sure his right hand also has the blade function; he just didn’t use it during the fight.

Anyways, seeing Yang Cheng in the PV made me think that he must be related to Zero somehow. And isn’t it interesting how “zero” is so tied to his character, having zero trust points for most of his life?

This might seem like a reach, but what if Yang Cheng’s soul is actually one of Zero’s souls that old E-Soul wasn’t able to fully kill?

In Chinese mythology, humans have more than one soul. From Wikipedia:

Hun and po are types of souls in Chinese philosophy and traditional religion. Within this ancient soul dualism tradition, every living human has both a hun spiritual, ethereal, yang soul which leaves the body after death, and also a po corporeal, substantive, yin soul which remains with the corpse of the deceased. E-Soul’s name in Chinese is Hun Dian (魂电), and the hun there is exactly the immortal hun soul that can be detached from the body.

Or, to make it less complicated,,, Yang Cheng is mayhaps Zero’s reincarnation? Because Yang Cheng did bad things in his previous life as Zero, he is punished in his current life.

Some of my favourite little details in Bungou Stray Dogs (contains manga spoilers)

-In terms of ying and yang, tiger and dragon are opposites. Atsushi’s a weretiger and Akutugawa’s first name is Ryuunosuke with “Ryuu” meaning dragon.

And their hair and clothes colour schemes are the same as each ying yang symbol.

-As a teen Chuuya kept his hands in his pockets as a teen to remind him not to lose himself. Something he seems to replace with wearing gloves as he takes them off before using corruption.

And when he’s pretending to be a vampire the gloves stay on because he’s still himself.

-The painting that Hirotsu insults when meeting with Dazai at the end of the Guild arc is one that the real Osamu Dazai painted.

-In Kunikida and Katai’s brilliant days, someone breaks into Katai’s house to try and kill him. And in the present day Katai has a hidden camera in his room.

-Demon Snow resembling Kyouka’s mother, her original user and the one who passed the ability onto Kyouka.

-Dazai meowing at Fyodor in Dead Apple in response to being compared to a rat like him.

-Atsushi gets kicked out of the orphanage because the tiger escaped and ate their livestock. In the orphanage flashbacks, we only ever see Atsushi imprisoned but never the tiger.

Showing that they are one and the same.

-The incident that awakened Kenji’s rage state was his best friend being killed. He awakens that same state in the present after being told Atsushi’s going to die.

-The necklace Shunzen Tachihara wears in the war with the engraved message of being saved by Yosano is in the shape of a coffin.

-Fitzgerald wanting to get the book to bring back his daughter for his wife and naming the Guilds Headquarters after her. And when he’s defeated it’s his wedding ring that saves him.

-In Dead Apple during the Dragons Head incident, Dazai says that he was shot 3 extra times. To which Chuuya says “aw you poor baby, want me to pick up when he left off?”

And in Mersault, Chuuya “kills” Dazai and then proceeds to shoot him 3 extra times.

-Also shooting someone 3 times is part of the Port Mafia’s method of disposing of traitors, like Dazai. But Chuuya never completes the method which could have hinted at Dazai being still alive.

-The move Kunikida shows Atsushi, taking his hand and flipping over onto the ground is the same move he uses to take down Hirotsu during the raid.

-The line Dazai says to Fyodor at the end of the Mersault arc, “even all your strength can’t kill me” is the same thing Dazai says to Atsushi during their fight in the first episode.

-Akutagawa’s orders in the DOA arc were to not to intervene unless he saw a smoke signal. When he returns to aid Atsushi at the airport it’s after Kunikida sent out a smoke signal.

-Akutugawa knowing the true power of Atsushi’s claws because they’ve cut through Rashomon.

-Adam (Stormbringer) is the first artificial creation of his kind. And he reaffirms Chuuya’s humanity, even being referred too at one point as speaking to him as parent would to a child.

In some respects making Chuuya a son of Adam.

-The Port Mafia has a tradition where those who mentor / are responsible for you give you a piece of their clothing. Every piece of Atsushi’s uniform is something owned by a member of the Agency.

-The scene in the anime where Dazai leaves the Port Mafia and the scene where Mori and Fukuzawa make their deal are alike.

-Chuuya always stands on the side that Dazai has/had his eye covered. And after the events of Mersault he stands on the side of Dazai’s broken leg.

-When Poe recalls losing Ranpo he is in darkness while Ranpo’s in light. But when Ranpo recalls the event he envisions them both in the light.

A little rant: saving Saturn, Uranus & Pluto's reputations

So this has been a while I wanted to make this post. I have seen plenty of people making posts and contents expressing that Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are always indicators of bad events happening in your life. And, I strongly disagree! I wanted to make this post to save their reputation and mostly break this false idea, and why it is important to not consider those planets as "bad" planets.

Saturn is a planet named after Saturn, a God from the Roman Mythology and ancient Religion. It's the 6th planet from the Sun, and second largest planet in the Solar System. Saturn is considered a slow planet, with an orbital period taking almost 30 years. The name it was given is very important and describe also well the planet even in Astrology. God Saturn rules over wealth, agriculture, the father archetype, he was also the god of time, abundance, generation. Of course, this Planet rules over Capricorn and Aquarius (traditionally). It also rules over the 10H, House of Capricorn. Both Capricorn and 10H are placements characterized by the same keywords as God Saturn. Moreover, Saturn in astrology is a planet that indicates slow timing, and so obstacles & limitations. This is due to Saturn being a slow planet, and revealing that things indeed take times. In this case, Saturn represents the realization that waiting is a virtue. Saturn has the reputation of being a "bad" planet because of the limitations it creates due to its slow nature. Slowing down things, putting obstacles in our momentum. Saturn will so be seen as the planets that will tell us where limitations is created, where do we find obstacles, where do things get slower. It is indeed a way to see things. Everything existing has energy of ying and yang, positive and negative. Therefore, Saturn's bad side does exist. Yet, it is important to realize Saturn isn't there to just limit us and being the annoying father archetype. Saturn is here to put limits and make us appreciate things while they last. Saturn being a slow planet will make us appreciate the lasting things in our life. It will then also show us things that will stay long term. Serious matters, things that we hold on dearly. It is a planet that will show us things we are maturing about.

✰ Uranus ♅

Uranus is a planet named after Uranus, a God from the Greek Mythology. It's the 7th Planet from the Sun, and mostly made from Ice, with a very low temperature of around -224 °C/ -371 °F. Its Orbital period is about 84 years. The name of Uranus indeed comes from the God's name who happens to rule over the Sky, and Uranus as a planet rules over Aquarius in Astrology, an Air sign. Now, Uranus in Astrology is a planet that will represent change, sudden change, things happening suddenly we don't expect usually. It is often associated with unique and originality. Anything eccentric. The God of the sky & weather is known for mimicking and changing weather as he desires. When the planet was discovered, it was a major discovery as it was the proof that the solar system was wider than what astronomers thought at the time. Uranus was so breaking down and expending boundaries. Really beautiful considering that Aquarius (being ruled by Uranus now) is a sign known for breaking traditional boundaries. In this case, Uranus in astrology is a planet seen as a bad sign too. Why? Because of the change and transformation the planet brings. Uranus indeed brings unexpected and sudden change, and it can scare people. People are scared of change usually, but mostly when it is unexpected or petty sudden. Uranus is often associated with break ups or breaking contracts. The breaking part could be from "breaking boundaries" as it is what the planet represents. Yet, Uranus is also associated with unusual and eccentric things too, anything that is not "traditional". So this brings indeed a change to people to something truly unexpected, or things changing their routine. It's also the barrier breakers, so people fear this and think Uranus is a sign of "breaking" into their life. While, in fact, this doesn't necessarily means bad outcomes.

✰ Pluto ♇

Pluto is considered a "Dwarf Planet" but some astronomers continue to consider it as a Planet still. Pluto was discovered in 1930 by Clyde W. Tombaugh, an American Astronomer. This planet has always been kinda left out, as it is more small than expected, extremely slow and more far. Literally left out. In 2006, it was then redefined as a Dwarf Planet, because it was considered too small to just be a Planet. Pluto was named this way by the Greek God Pluto in Mythology. In fact, the name Pluto was perfectly chosen: Pluto being the god of the underworld (Hades) is known for being invisible to most people, as Pluto as a planet who was discovered very late compared to other planets. Pluto being the God of the underworld take then care of the souls and the dead. Pluto was then attached to the idea of death itself than a more allegorical form. People now attach Pluto as the planet who represents death, and so fear this planet. In my opinion, from what I have seen, Pluto is the planet that people fear the most in all. Indeed, Pluto does represent death, but not in the first sense. It represents ending (death) and beginnings (birth). What is ending to be reborn. Pluto as a new planet is attached to Scorpio now, and it all makes sense. The intensity of the sign complete well the Planet it got affiliated with. Since Pluto rules over Scorpio, which as a sign rules over the 8H, Pluto then also rules over the 8H, making it a planet focusing on wealth and possessions. The planet takes the Scorpio's qualities such as intensity, passion, desires, sensitivity, deepness, but also possessiveness and jealousy. Pluto will also represent all of those qualities too. Despite that Pluto mostly focus on the endings and new beginnings as a Planet, the wealth aspect mostly come the fact it is ruled by Scorpio and 8H, otherwise, the god Pluto itself doesn't represent that, and it is in fact the God Plutus who is the God of wealth. Both are usually mistaken to be the same person. Despite Pluto not being necessarily the literal "death" planet, a lot of people are still afraid of it representing endings. As human beings, we hate anything unpredictable, anything stopping us, but also hating endings. We associate those words with the word "bad". While, in fact, Pluto teaches us endings aren't necessarily bad or to be feared. It may be scary as we don't know what's next, but they teach us patience too, as with time, we realize that it may have been the best for us. Pluto being a slow planet will be then in astrology teaching us patience is a virtue, as Saturn (in Mythology, Saturn is Pluto's father), and that endings aren't just endings, an ending also means a new beginning. Seeing hope in what is ending.

✰ Examples

Examples will be focused on Solar Return Charts as it is easier to explain how those planets can be considered bad through different experiences each years.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 7H in Solar Return is a sign of having obstacles in a relationship, limitations but also struggling being with your crush for example. Yet, Saturn 7H can also be a sign of having a long term relationship, appreciating your relationship. But also maturing about a relationship, or how you view relationships.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 5H SRC is a similar sign, but it could also indicate having obstacles in fun times perhaps due to activities that requires you to be more mature. But it means so being more serious about your life and making more responsible choices.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 10H SRC can be indeed a sign of struggles, obstacles and limitations in our career, perhaps finding it hard to upgrade or just also struggling with our reputation. But this could also mean being more responsible and serious about our career and work. We can also appear as more serious and people can take us more seriously this year. It can also means finding long term contracts this year.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 2H SRC could be a sign of struggles in the financial supports but it can also be a sign of being more serious when it comes to this matter.

Of course, to define which of those two significances is stronger, we need to see the rulers of the houses where Saturn falls, Ruler of Saturn this year and where it is, but also the aspects of Saturn.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 10H SRC, with Aquarius MC (ruled by Saturn traditionally), makes the 10H Ruler in the 10H itself. This is a good indicators of long term career, finding long term contracts and being serious in our career. Yet, Aquarius MC also makes Uranus the Ruler. If Uranus is in the 10H or 6H too, it is a good factor. Yet if it is in the 12H for example, those long term contracts will eventually end this year too. It could also mean we eventually want to end our contracts.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 7H SRC in Pisces will be ruled by Jupiter (Traditionally) and Neptune. Jupiter being in the 9H makes us having lessons related to our struggles and limitations in our relationships. Neptune 8H will make us less likely to be with someone. Perhaps preferring to be on your own, or just thinking often of this one person yet without anything happening with them.

‧₊˚✩彡 Saturn 2H Aries will makes the Ruler being Mars, and Mars being in the 8H will make us perhaps have more money, and maturing when it comes to money on the long term. Saturn conjunct Neptune 2H will also make us maturing about certain ideas we had about money.

‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 7H & 5H is often seen as a break up sign in the SRC. Because people think Uranus is a sudden change, unexpected. Yet this is not true. If Uranus aspects well Venus & Jupiter, or the Rulers of 7H/ 5H, then it doesn't necessarily means a break up. This can indicate a happy sudden change, or something happening suddenly but in the good side.

‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 3H SRC will so usually indicates that you might get someone to talk to you suddenly. The year it happened to me, I had a friend from the past who suddenly came back to talk to me.

‧₊˚✩彡 With Uranus 3H but the 3H Ruler being in the 7H made sense also in this SRC, it was the year I met my FS, and he came to talk to me online, he was coming to talk at the most random moments, and we met online. I didn't expect him to talk to me tbh.

‧₊˚✩彡 Uranus 12H means some sudden endings happening. I have seen this placement for some people who lost a dear person in their life. This usually happened quite suddenly.

13. Hi, I’m trying to find two older fics, A) the first I remember it being on AO3, and I want to say it had more than one part to it. Basically when Wei Ying came back and then of course ended up in Gusu Lan, Lan Zhan had a son (not A-Yuan) but like another child that was his and Wei Yings, A-Yuan is also present though. He’s very much like how he is presented in the novel, but the child that was Lan Zhans and Wei Yings is more like Wei Ying. A bit of a trouble maker, kind of aggressive maybe. Energetic? Lan Zhan of course clocks that Wei Ying is Wei Ying, but they wait a while before actually telling the kid that this now seemingly random figure in his life is his father. And if I remember correctly the kid doesn’t take it well right away.

I also could be combining to fics in my memory, but I also want to say Lan Zhan may have had chronic pain, or he had been whipped while pregnant and he was just gonna roll with it until he collapsed early and they found out about the pregnancy.

B) The second definitely was on AO3 as well, with multiple parts. But I remember Lan Zhan definitely had chronic pain and weakness from being whipped. I specifically remember he has scars that snake down to his hand, and that arm/hand is visibly smaller or weaker looking compared to his other. At first he won’t eat or drink in front of Wei Ying because of it. His hand shakes I think. He also keeps his hair braided to the side so it doesn’t touch his scars, that way he doesn’t have to use his core as much to dampen the pain. He travels in the winter because the cold makes his pain worse. A-Yuan is also present in this fic. I think there’s a coming of age type ceremony at the end…. I read a fic ages ago, that the themes have really stuck with me, but for the life of me I cannot find!!

It was in the veins of heavy angst? hurt no comfort maybe? but i dont remember how it ended!

It was from (mostly?) wwx’s perspective, the plot was basically how broken & damaged wwx was as demonic cultivation/starvation were slowly killing him? None of his injures had ever healed since he lost his core (he had a broken back !?). A key point (I think) was that none of the people around him really realised how badly injured/how much pain he was in. They knew he wasn’t well but not that he was being pretty much held together by resentful energy. Even Wen Qing didn’t fully understand his condition I believe?

Maybe knowning he was dyinging wwx set out to destroy the st seal (or did???) as a final release??

I think it did kill him but I’m not quite sure, i think i remember Jyl & Lwj having a scene where they are mourning him together or commiserating over how ravaged wwx’s body is. I think they also realised wwx never intended to survive destroying the seal??

I’m desperate to read it again but for all my searching I cannot find it at all, hopefully someone knows it!

But what I find most wonderful about how Wen Ning is written is that his loyalty and love isn't only portrayed in the above characteristics—that could easily be misconstrued to say that he is only a follower—but also in how he does not play about Wei Wuxian. For the simple kindness of believing in his archery skills, encouraging him to try out for the competition, and offering advice, Wen Ning put his life on the line to help Wei Wuxian in the aftermath of the fall of Lotus Pier:

Wei WuXian, “How did it make me lose face? You haven’t really shot in front other people, have you? You were nervous?” Wen QiongLin nodded. Wei WuXian continued, “Have some confidence. For Wei Wuxian, Wen Ning was willing to go against his clan. For Wei Wuxian, Wen Ning is willing to put himself in harm's way. And for Wei Wuxian, Wen Ning is willing to reveal a secret he had promised to take to the grave, just to press home how good of a person Wei Wuxian is and how undeserving of his persecution he's been. Despite how often others try to reduce Wen Ning down to just another all-powerful weapon crafted by the Yiling Patriarch or a man too scared to fight for himself, Wen Ning uses his autonomy always to defend those he loves, regardless of what the rest of the world may think of him, and Wei Wuxian joined that rank by standing up for him at the cultivation conference. Thus for this, Wen Ning earns the best didi award.

I have a SHITTY THROAT and a BLOCKED NOSE, I HATE being ill oh my god. Anyway I'll power through and give my honeypies an update for the mad scientist AU because I didn't post yesterday and I want to do something with my brain... Lan Wangji is bonding with Wei Ying. He is spending so much time with him and is being told all of the boy's deepest thoughts and feelings. They aren't just limited to Cleansing sessions anymore; Wei Ying is yelling his name from across the camp and bounding over to leap onto his back, likely expecting to be sidestepped or something. Everyone watches in a mixture of shock and confusion as, instead of pulling his usual stunts of looking at people who touch him with icy disdain, Lan Wangji merely hikes Wei Ying's legs up his waist and begins carrying him along with perfect posture. Wei Ying is surprised, laughing more out of startlement than anything else, batting at the man's shoulders and saying "Lan Zhan, you can put me down!! I'm too heavy!" As though he isn't both extremely underweight and also as though he hasn't told him how much it hurts to move for long stretches of time.

This is a regular occurrence. It becomes commonplace to see Lan Wangji and Wei Ying together, even moreso than seeing the gui cultivator with any of The Lads. Xue Yang is over here like "dude what the hell, you're ditching me :(" and Wei Ying goes "nuh uh, extra gege instead!" Xue Yang takes a scrutinising look at Lan Wangji, watches him stare back with that autism look in his eyes and honestly that's all he needs to do - Lan Wangji is now a new gege. It seems like this guy is the only one who can get Wei Ying to do things he's hesitant about doing, as long as he promises to stay with him the whole time. There is not a moment where they're apart. The Wen siblings are, of course, a little hurt by it, but it's hard to not understand where Wei Ying is coming from. It's best to let him come to them rather than trying to force him to forgive them. Wen Qing feels this the most because she's the one who takes on the brunt of responsibilities for her family.

What's going on with the Dafan Wen?? Well, they're in the clutches of the Wen still, so all The Lads can hope is that Wen Ruohan has too much on his mind with the war to consider using them as weapons. After all, as far as he's concerned, Wen Ning, Wen Qing, and Xue Yang have been taken against their will - therefore, no reason to go around slaughtering potential bargaining tools! If anything, he believes that three of the four Lads are being used as a blackmail tool against Wei Wuxian. That's right, folks, he genuinely believes that Wei Wuxian would totally still be on the side of the Wen if he was not being blackmailed. He thinks that his brainwashing was literally so good, and that even though Wei Wuxian killed Wen Zhuliu (by the way, the Big Shots do not know this) and was consequently thrown into the Burial Mounds for it, he's still using the techniques he taught, so he can't be THAT bothered about it! (We have to respect a guy so far up his own ass that he thinks he's That Good.)

Meanwhile, Lan Xichen is loving all of this!! He's all like "oh em gee my didi is bonding with people so much, this is great, I should talk to him about this!!" So they talk and Lan Wangji is like "yeah I like and admire Wei Ying" so Lan Xichen goes "yeah that's great, it's always good to have a friend you admire-" "I want to put my fingers into his mouth." "...So it's always great to have a person that you love, no matter what their gender happens to be-" Anyway. His didi is a cutsleeve too. Poor shifu...he won't be getting any grandkids...unless someone (most likely Wei Wuxian) fucks around with something and gets their internal biology changed. Who knows with that boy? He is actually determined to get to know Wei Wuxian personally without being caught by Wangji (he's watching him like a hawk these days), so he starts having like...biweekly tea sessions with him that are supposed to be about how his cultivation base works and strategising with him but do sometimes end up as mini things like "sooo, do you like my diiidiii??"

Nie Mingjue is all about the grind. While Lan Xichen is trying to learn everything about Wei Wuxian, he is in the background, Meng Yao and him going through all these different attack strategies that just never seem to work. Then Wei Wuxian, who has been peering at the war table with interest, points to an unprotected flank and goes "yeah I could put my palsies there." Nie Mingjue, who has been working with only their army, is hit with the sudden life changing thought of 'oh my fucking god. He has an undead army that we haven't thought about.' It's safe to say that he's very approving of Wei Wuxian after that, much to the delight of Nie Huaisang. What has Nie Huaisang been doing?? SO glad you asked - now that Wei Wuxian is back with his family, he's been working on his other pet project. Meng Yao.

Meng Yao obviously has his whole family situation going on, but also refuses to let Jin Zixuan know that they're related for some unknown reason. Whenever Nie Huaisang brings it up, he's like "no I have to be able to prove myself to him before I reveal that I am his brother. I cannot let his standards be shifted by that knowledge before I have gained his approval naturally." Something or other about 'honour' or whatever THAT means. Nie Huaisang has no time for that and instead goes about making the half brothers connect before they possibly die or whatever, meaning he must go to Jin Zixuan. Of course, instead of just saying "yo you've got a half brother hanging around in our sect", he instead chases the teenager up on that idea he had about talismans to find his family.

Jin Zixuan, still firmly in his "I hate my dad and am going to be nothing like him" era (is it an era if it's just his life now), has been dealing with the stresses of being the youngest kid at the war meetings and having to look out for basically all that is left of his sect. The rest of the sect is evil and not even worth acknowledging honestly, and the knowledge that if they win this war, he will be the sect leader of the Jin Sect is more than a little bit too much for him to handle. Instead of being a big boy and talking about it with someone (because he doesn't feel like he can tell anyone except Luo Qingyang, who can't help much), he latches onto his other issues, like finding his family. After being reminded by Nie Huaisang about his idea, he goes up to not Wei Wuxian but Lan Wangji and is like "is Wei Wuxian healthy enough to help me with this idea?" because basically everyone knows that Wei Wuxian is an unreliable source for these questions.

Lan Wangji considers it carefully and discusses it with Wen Qing, who both decide that Wei Ying can help out because it would be exercising the qi part of his golden core. He hasn't used it nearly enough for a while, so it would be good to help remind him out it works, meaning that as long as he only works with that medium he's allowed to help. Wei Ying has been itching for something important to do - he's not allowed to do much guidao because of his fucked up body or whateva - and leaps at the chance to use talismanry. To make it clear, I've decided that Wei Ying was always interested in the medium of talismanry and read up on it a whole bunch, but was never fully able to make use of it because the Wen saw it as more of a copout/weakling's weapon due to it not requiring much qi to wield most talismans. When he was in the Burial Mounds, he played around with it more, but he really flourished when he got out because he had so many cool materials at his disposal. So, this is like his first major project with talismans involved, and let's just say Jin Zixuan is lucky that Wei Wuxian has a natural talent for talismans (like his baba (another decision I've made)).

Crawley wouldn’t lie, he’d dreamed about touching the angel’s arms more than once during the millennia. He’d dreamed of being close to him, of being intimate with him, of hearing Ezra whispering his name against his ears in the darkest hours. And yet, this was the first time that Crawley dared reach out to the being he considered a best friend, a teammate in a group formed by the two of them. He shook Ezra, trying to put some sense into his wonderful, clever brain. ‘We don’t belong to her anymore, angel! She lost any claim on us when it turned out what kind of horrible creepy god she actually was!’ Ezra shook his head in denial, not wanting to hear the truth spoken so openly and dangerously by the demon. ‘Ezra!’ Another shake. ‘She doesn’t own us anymore! We belong to ourselves. We belong – to each other…’ The demon’s voice had turned into a whisper as the storm announcing the Apocalypse raged around them, threatening to destroy everything and everyone in its path. ‘We belong to this world. Because Ezra was finally realising that they were more than what their Creator had programmed them for, so much more. ‘You and me. On our side.’ ‘Our side,’ Ezra repeated. And then he smiled that beaming smile of his. A smile (and Ezra had no idea of this, but Crawley had been a witness since day zero) that had converted millions of people to the side of the good since the Garden of Eden. A perfect, wonderful smile that had inspired Crawley to fall in love with the angel as soon as he’d met him, on that fateful day when the first Man and Woman had fallen and Ezra had sheltered him with his pristine white wing to cover a demon from the drops of the very first rain. Crawley offered his hand to Ezra, and this time the angel didn’t hesitate to take it. They walked towards the horizon with their fingers entwined. Two inseparable celestial beings. The ying to each other’s yang. Whatever their future may hold, Crawley and Ezra would face it, joined by an invisible and unbreakable line. They would face the storm, they would face their enemies, they would face their (forgotten) Creator. Together. On their side.

I really like your blog! I had a question I've been wondering and wanted to hear more thoughts from others in the fandom who are critical of JKR. Do all people with gender dysphoria count as trans or nonbinary? What steps should they take to get help if they're distressed about their gender? I have a friend who is really dysphoric IRL and I'm not sure how to help them.

First things first. I'm going to define some terms.

BIOLOGICAL SEX

What you have in your pants. I'm not a biologist, so I can't get into too much detail - but I do know that while we generally use "male" and "female" as big catch-all categories, it gets a lot more complex and interesting when you get down into it. Male seahorses get pregnant. Clownfish can change their biological sex. Human intersex people are both pretty common, and only the tip of the iceberg.

I've always liked the "Staticians Creed" - "All models are wrong, but some are useful." Basically - we're trying to understand the world, we like patterns and we like to sort things, and a lot of the times those are useful for getting your head around something. 'Male' and 'Female' are useful categories... but I know that sometimes biologists will use "Breeding Type A" and "Breeding Type B" in situations where "Male" and "Female" don't track all that neatly.

GENDER PRESENTATION

But all of that is... honestly not super relevant on a day-to-day basis, because you can't know for sure what someone has in their pants just by looking at them. What you're actually looking at is someone's gender presentation. How they decide to dress, wear their hair, move, speak. I once saw a comedian (George Carlin?) do a bit on how there are some words - like "wonderful" and "aqua" - you only hear women use (and if a guy says them, you think he's effeminate/gay.) Obviously stuff like that depends a lot on location, dialect, etc. But there are gendered ways of speaking, he's completely right about that.

You hear the phrase "gender is a social construct" a lot, and it doesn't mean that gender isn't real, it means it's a thing that humanity decided on. Like money. Or the seven-day week. All that comes from history and anthropology, not science. Mostly we've decided on the two genders, but there are plenty of cultures that have three. And gender signifiers... look. Any 'girly' thing you can think of - wearing pink, high heels, long hair, skirts... I can name you a culture/time period that considered all those things extremely masculine. Fashion affects everything - beauty standards, ideal weight, and gender presentation too.

GENDER DYSPHORIA

So maybe in a sci-fi world where everyone wore identical baggy silver jumpsuits and there were no gender signifiers, there would also be no gender dysphoria. I have no idea. But we do in fact live in a society, like the Joker says, and in the society we live in, your gender presentation matters a lot. It affects how people treat you, what they expect of you, sometimes even what laws apply to you and what jobs you can get. Gender gets very bound up in identity, and it sucks when you feel like your internal truth isn't being projected out and recognized by the people around you. Woman who lose their hair or their breasts often suffer from a kind of gender dysphoria, and so they get wigs and boob jobs. Men who grow breasts after being on steroids suffer through a similar thing.

There's all kinds of study and debate over how things like "personality traits" come into existence, but I would say that a person is a collection of qualities, and depending on the person those qualities fit more easily into the "male" bucket or the "female" bucket. Of course every "male" will have "female" qualities as well, that's not news. That's what the little dot in the ying/yang symbol is suppose to symbolize, and "integrated anima" has been a thing since Carl Jung. But in general.

So I would say that gender dysphoria can be felt for reasons other than being trans or nonbinary. I also think that you can be trans/nonbinary and not gender dysphoric. Kind of a "yeah, if I could press a button and change my gender and have no social consequences I would, but I like the one I've got as a second choice just fine."

Gender dysphoria is absolutely brutal when it does hit though. If you've got a friend who is struggling with it... first, I'd compliment any change in their appearance they make. If they grow their hair out, cut it, paint their nails, start shopping in the other section of the store. It's lonely and scary to start experimenting with a new identity. Depending on my relationship with them, I would probably offer to take them shopping, or do their makeup, nails, or hair if that's something I think they'd like. Invite them to 'boys night' or to 'girls' night.'

I'd also ask if there's a nickname or alternate name they'd like to be called. You could make it a fun thing - pick out a name for yourself too. A friend of mine used "Captain" as a name/pronoun for a while, before committing to he/him and Bryce. Another friend was NJ and they/them before picking Nicole and she/her. I know people who are "'they' like both" "'they' like I don't really care either way" "'he' like an evil supercomputer from the 60s'" "'she' like a ship." I'd also see if there's any kind of of gendered address they don't like. "Bro" can be pretty gender neutral... but it isn't everywhere. Some people are fine with she/her, but absolutely hate being called "Ma'am."

Personally, I think it's wonderful and beautiful when identity can be approached in such an interesting way. I also think that the question "I feel weird in my body - maybe my gender presentation is off" is a far better and more useful question to ask than "I feel weird in my body - maybe I'm too fat."

Her name is Aarvi, Lady Aarvi or just the Lady, I decided to mess a bit with the surrealist BM side so she's the quite opposite of what Judge Holden is, she's the Goddess of Peace, she's more compassionate towards the others and is very calm most of the times (but she's still a Goddess so don't expect her to understand human feelings)

Her lore is pretty simple, it involves a bit of my perspective of what the judge is. When The judge was creating the humans he initially wanted them to look like exact copies of him but he would have power over them, the problem was the lady decided to trick him and just for fun sabotage all his plans and completely destroy with everything what humans were initially supposed to be like, she made humanity grow morality each time they evolved, and that made the judge quite furious. (Poor woman she just wanted to troll him)

Probably the person that the judge despises the most in his life is her, he hates her a lot, he hates her so much that it's more surrealist than Salvador Dali's art, he hates her as than AM from IHNMAIMS hates humanity but that hate is duplicated by a whole googol, he could explode just because he thought a bit about her, the part that he hates the most about her is that he can't do anything with her because she's also a divinity and she's a bit more powerful than him, and that actually makes him completely crash out.

In the middle of BM's plot she decided to look for the judge, because she wanted to mess with him a bit more, and seriously, the first time the whole gang saw the judge completely go crazy and start yelling uncontrollably at someone it was because of her and obviously that someone was her, only her presence already makes the judge bite off every piece of flesh on his body.

Funfact: the lady and the judge are actually **married**, a lot before the earth was created, the judge was forced to marry her because since he's the God of war and she's the Goddess of Peace their marriage could create an equilibrium between the two concepts (a bit like the Ying-Yang), the bad thing about that is that the judge actually never liked her that much, them being married is one of the reasons she loves messing with him, it's because they can't divorce.

Now for the modern AU things, she's also a pimp like Holden, but she's way more interesting, she has more prostitutes than the judge has and actually, Aarvi's main prostitute is Pimp Holden, Holden is a pimp while he's a prostitute himself.

He very much does not kill wei wuxian. Pissed? Oh yeah who wouldnt be. I know the greentext misses some plot points but i wanted to be concise. He grieves his brother and doesn’t stop trying to find him. Hes experienced tragedy at the hands of demonic cultivation and does what he can to prevent it from repeating. Xue yang used demonic cultivation and killed many, his worries aren’t unfounded.

Edit. The majority of demonic cultivators are not wei wuxian who has a strong moral code. Demonic cultivation appeals to those who crave power for the sake of power. And while wei wuxian has the best control over it even he looses control under pressure. No donghua ‘there was another demonic cultivator making him loose control’ he still was responsible for wen ning killing jin zixuan (even if zixuan should have listened to wei ying) and in part responsible for what happened to jiang yanli. If jiang cheng saw even his brother couldnt control it how could anyone else? Tap tap the sign. Wei wuxian was hiding many things from jiang cheng.

I am not saying that killing all of one group of people because one of them harmed you is okay. That is a bad faith take on what i have said.

If lwj didnt show up when jc and mxy!wwx first met jc would have probably killed wwx. The second time they meet jc does have the chance to kill him but doesnt.

We were ment for each other though. I just knew it. Despite how different we are, how good and kind she is and how bad and cruel I am, we were destined to be together. Fates tangled together.

Still when we flew

Months with by. The more time I spent with her, the more I felt awful for what I was doing. But despite that, I always loved her. No matter what.

"How do you know my name?" I demand as I stand taller and look down upon her.

"Luke... y-you don't remember me..?" She asks, sadness filling her gaze.

"Even if I did, you have no right to call me by my name." I say sternly as look at her more closely, noticing the scar that ran along her lip. Something about it was familiar.

"Kill her." He demands, handing me Backbitter. I nod and walk towards her, gripping the sword tight. She looked horrified. Her eyes wide, body shaking violently.

"L-Luke please..." She pleaded, trembling as she trys to escape the tight grip of the guards. "Please..." She pleads quietly as I pull my sword back and-

Then it hit me. All my memories flooding back. I stare at her body of the floor as she struggles to breathe. I fall to my knees and whisper "No... no, no, no.... god no... please..." I say as I grab her dying body and hold it in my arms. "Y/N.... Y/N please... please don't leave me... I cant live without you... I'm so sorry..." I say as I start crying.

'Cause I never really wanna be the one to hurt somebody

Her body lay lifeless in my arms. I shake her "Y/N?" Nothing. "Y/N?!" I say again, louder. I yell in anguish as I hold her lifeless corps in my arms, tight to my chest. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."

"L-Luke please..." I plead as my body trembles, struggling against the guards holding me. "Please..." I plead as I look up at him. He retracts the blade and-

"I-I'll always... l-love you L-Luke..." I say quietly with a soft smile as I fall to the ground, crimson blood going all over the ground.
