I'm halfway through the show, Queen of Tears, and something that I've seen floating across is the anti Hyun Woo sentiment regarding how he treated Hae In initially and was just trying to do it all for the will.

Something to understand here is that in situations such as his, where he was emotionally empty and just a shell of himself who was just functioning, he didn't have the bandwidth to understand the gravity of situation that was Hae In's terminal illness.

In Hyun Woo's mind, he didn't have Hae In's support anywhere, be it against his in-Laws or in the company. She is silent against her family and hostile and argumentative in the company. He doesn't know what all she does for him on the sly or in backstage. He is not aware and Hae In never made the effort to change that situation.

All that pressure, anxiety, gear and emotional drain took its toll on Hyun Woo's emotional capacity. Stuck in a state of constant negativity, his initial reaction to Hae In's illness might be a form of self-preservation. He shuts down completely, unable to process the additional emotional burden of her mortality.

Something to remember is also the fact, that although he was thinking of it, the one thing that pushed him to draft the divorce papers were the talk of their child, whose entire identity and life was being decided by Hae In's family while she had no opinion on that and couldn't care less. This entire situation fueled the fire of resentment burning within Hyun Woo. Here was Hae In, seemingly indifferent to the future of their potential child, the very thing that initially distanced them. It felt like a repeat of their early struggles, where her family held all the cards and Hae In remained silent, leaving him to battle alone.

This perception, however flawed it might be, explains his impulsive decision to draft the divorce papers. Exhausted and emotionally hollowed out, he saw the child issue as the final straw, a symbol of their inability to stand together. He might have been grasping at a desperate solution, a way to force a change in their dynamic, a cry for her to finally fight for him and their future.

Of course, this doesn't paint Hyun Woo as a hero. His actions were undeniably hurtful, a clumsy and emotionally charged attempt to solve a complex situation. But by understanding the immense pressure he was under, the constant negativity seeping into his core, we can see a flicker of vulnerability beneath his anger. He craved Hae In's support, her voice alongside his in the face of adversity. Perhaps, the divorce papers were a twisted plea for her to finally break her silence, to acknowledge his pain and fight for their future together.

Here's where empathy becomes crucial. While his actions are undeniably hurtful, it's important to consider if they stem from malice or a desperate attempt to cope.

Think about it this way: Imagine a cup overflowing with negativity. Hyun Woo's daily struggles with his in-laws, the lack of support at work, and the constant emotional strain have already filled his cup to the brim. When Hae In's illness is revealed, it's simply too much for him to handle at that moment. He doesn't have the emotional space to understand the gravity of her situation, let alone offer support. in fact, it's easy for him to consider her death as an easy escape since his capacity for empathy or his love for her was essentially buried under all that negativity.

Hungary Grand Prix, 2023.

Max wasn’t feeling like himself.

The car upgrades were supposed to be great, not to make him struggle and happy a shitty day, which meant shitty questions, passive aggressive press conference trying to not look so annoyed, but it didn’t help that the press was painstakingly working to get the worst angles with furrowed eyebrows and waving off strangers trying to aggressively approach him.

Of course, it didn’t help you weren’t there to hold his hand walking around the paddock, forcing his blue eyes to focus on your calming smile and the inevitable lovestruck expression plastered on his face. 

And yes, he was letting out the fact he didn’t leave Monaco in the best of terms. He’d grown accustomed to you tagging along to most races, but when you informed him you wouldn’t be able to make it to the last two races before summer break he didn’t take it the best way. 

Yes, Max understood you were needed at your job and deadlines were way more difficult to meet with changing time zones, bumpy flights and noisy paddocks and hospitalities, but it didn’t change the fact that he needed you and his selfish self really needed you cheering for him, even if you’d seen him win enough times already. 

In conclusion, it was safe to say he didn’t really feel like putting on a genuine smile or goof around with interviewers who’d ask the same questions while Christian tells him off for looking unapproachable. 

The only thing that turned the corners of his mouth was a WhatsApp attachment from you, Jimmy and Sassy sleeping with the F1 channel on full display on the TV. 

It wasn’t long until Twitter and Instagram fan accounts came to the conclusion you weren’t there with Max, creating a small discussion with some people arguing that it didn’t make sense you’d tagged along to places like Baku or Melbourne and not go to a race less far away and arguably one of the most popular tracks of the season, while other people defended you saying you had your own life apart from being Max’s girlfriend, you had a job, conferences to attend amongst other things, so it was ridiculous to expect you to be there for every race, no matter how much you loved Max. 

You don’t know whether it was the fact you didn’t post a story on Instagram celebrating Max’s win or the fact Max hadn’t been his best self, struggling with the car, losing control over the tiniest thing and just losing focus overall the fuel for some fans to start speculating about the status of your relationship.

Last race before summer break meant most people on the paddock were a turmoil of emotions between the desire for the weekend to be completely over and wishing to do the best possible job before the break.

Max convinced himself he was coming into the weekend relaxed, knowing he’d have to put his best strategies, talent and focus for Spa, but a few free weeks were right around the corner so he could recharge with you, staying in bed for the entire morning before getting up to get ready to go out, maybe arriving back to the apartment drunk and giggly only to regret everything during the morning, but with the knowledge you were going to do the exact same.

He was facetiming you when he came across lots of fans wanting his attention, asking for pictures, until someone asked for you and Max pretended he didn’t listen, not wanting to answer things about his relationship, and the woman that asked wasn’t even sharp enough to catch your face on full display on his screen. 

Had Max known the chaos it would ensue not answering the simple question about you, maybe he’d reconsider, especially since Lando and him jumped from the paddock to a helicopter waiting to take them to the closing night of Tomorrowland where Martin Garrix was closing the last weekend.

You were sitting on your bed when Victoria sent a thread on Twitter (or X? or Threads? it’s confusing) pointing at every proof and detail about your supposed break up, ironically asking if you had something to inform the family since Max hadn’t said anything. 

With widened eyes and unable to contain the urge to see what people were saying about Max and you, two hours later you were still reading gossip sites and didn’t even hear the door of the penthouse opening with both Sassy and Jimmy running away from the feet of the bed. 

“Is this the welcome I get?” Max’s voice announced his arrival, catching you by surprise and throwing the phone in the air. 

“Fuck, Max! You scared the shit out of me, I hate you!” You laughed, finally realizing he was right in front of you and kneeling on the bed to attach your arms around his neck, allowing Max to grab you by the thighs and spin you around while you left small kisses on his cheeks.

“What were you reading? You looked very focused,” Max carefully placed you back on the mattress before throwing his body and groaning at the feeling of his muscles relaxing.

“Did you know we broke up?” You questioned your boyfriend whose blue eyes opened as much as they could, eyebrows raised and slightly moving his head in confusion. 

Max was confused but still demanded an answer on what was going on as he watched the corners of your mouth lifting and quiet giggles leaving them. 

“Look, it’s full of theories because I didn’t attend the last races and after you went with Lando to watch Martin, some fans started drawing their own conclusions!”

“Are they insane? Speculating about other people’s love lives is so rude, and just because I didn’t answer a question about you which I never do? People are crazy!” Max exclaimed on an irritated tone, but quickly caught your eyes, making him realize the people commenting were doing the exact same thing as you, just on a larger scale. 

“Baby, I think this time we are the drama…” You stated before the bedroom became quiet.

It was just Max and you staring at each other, recalling every time you eavesdropped a conversation that clearly wasn’t meant for either of you to hear, or discussed different theories on who had cheated, who had broken up with whom, why some partners were so young or looked almost identical. 

“Schatz, I am not going to lie,” Max started with a frown and serious face before continuing. “I am very proud of us” After letting it out Max started laughing, his cheeks flushing and placing his hand over his mouth to try to stifle the sounds. 

“Baby, this definitely means we made it!”

It was bound to happen, you were meant to eventually become a source of spectacle if you enjoyed gossiping about other people’s lives so much. 

After laughing to the brink of tears, Max kissed your lips; softly, slowly and sensually, making it hard to separate but he stared right into your eyes and asked you in all seriousness: “Should we feed the gossip? Wouldn’t it be fun?”

Alastor finds you interesting. Your mouth is vulgar but you’re actually very intelligent in your work and you rile up your little employee group very well. How fascinating, he considers studying you to figure out how native demons like yourself act

Alastor likes teasing you about your much shorter height and tugging you on your long tail. Both are methods to piss you off and maybe methods to make you pay attention to him as well

Alastor is extremely protective over you: you’re a mortal demon, he’s immortal. You can die, he already died and now immune to fatal blows. Alastor expresses his loyalty, love and respect through that way he acts around you, giving you whatever you want free of charge, gifting you all kinds of presents, constantly writing you name on random pieces of paper or even the Hotel walls, being smitten of you around the Hotel staff. He can’t get you out of his head

Alastor loves carrying you around. You’re so small but you’re so squishy and cuddly, day or night. He loves hugging you to his chest and carrying you around, you’re smaller than Niffty and he’s living for it! You can be asleep and he’ll keep wondering around with you in his arms bridal style

Alastor is half for I.M.P, half not. The reason he isn’t is because he doesn’t want this psycho humans laying their hands on you and the reason he is is because he loves seeing you happy and he wants you to express your passions so he tries his best to be as supportive as he can

Alastor may or may not be the one taking care of you. You let loose sometimes after bad situations and he is the one reassuring you he’ll always be there, he won’t let you die alone and he’ll always be with you. He loves you and he wants you happy and healthy

Alastor’s ideas of a romantic date is to a nice restaurant, all dressed-up and bonding over simple conversation. Yeah, he isn’t the most ‘interesting’ date-planner but his vanilla tastes are so much better than anybody could ever suspect. You bond with Alastor very well with every date

Alastor enjoys bragging about you. He brags about you on his radio show and even promotes your business, I.M.P. He is going to show who you belong to and he’ll even mark you more… physically, if he must. You’re his and he won’t let any chance that somebody will try to steal you away

Alastor is an affectionate boyfriend and when I mean affectionate, I mean lovey-dovey, complimentary and touchy. He loves giving you kisses, holding you in his lap, giving you hugs, holding your hand all the time. He loves holding you, you’re so sweet and cute

“Darling. You should be a lot more careful… I wouldn’t do well without you, so please. Do both of us a favour and do not charge into battle recklessly… please? For this poor lovestruck little deer?”

Recently I saw people slandering Ace for what he did in the last few chapters of ep 1 to Riddle and because I am petty and salty, I'm going to defend Ace to the death here like my life depends on it

*I've posted this before but this time I'm going into more detail so yeah. Also this is written with spite I am going to be so passive aggressive sorry

why ace demanding a tart and a party from riddle is not bad, you guys just cant read, an analysis:

Let us begin by establishing what happens on the surface of the last few scenes of ep 1.

Riddle has just come back from overblotting. He begins to admit to the things he always wanted as well as the things he cared/didn't care about. For example, he lists that he wanted to eat the chestnut tart that Ace and friends prepared. He likes milk tea better than lemon tea, he wants to hang out with his friends and talk to lots of people after a meal.

After saying these things, he promptly breaks down, crying. However, the moment is ruined as Ace tells him that he won't forgive him, just because he's crying, and he promptly demands a party and a tart.

To some, this may be seen as an assholish move. Riddle has finally admitted to his wrongs, and yet Ace has the audacity to see this broken kid in tears and go "I still don't forgive you". That's terrible right?

WRONG.

Now that we have established what happens on the surface, let us establish reasons as to why Ace may be upset at Riddle, just to have everything on the table first because there is a lot to unpack here.

First off, Riddle kicked Ace out of his own dorm. This issue was brushed over, as Ace went to Yuu for shelter, but let's really stop to consider how ridiculous this is. Riddle, a dorm head, whose job is to care for the students in his dorm, kicked Ace out of the dorm without knowing if he would even have a place to sleep at night...because he ate his food.

If Ace had no friends at the time, he would have no where to sleep, and considering this is a magical school, there might be weird shit crawling around at night and idk about you but the prospect of it is completely terrifying to me. Not to mention, Ace is a first year. Everything on campus is new and unfamiliar to him. This has got to make things at least a good percentage more terrifying.

Secondly, Riddle threw away the tart that Ace made for him. At this point, Ace has come to the conclusion that he idk needs a place to sleep at night and he needs to be able to use magic (Riddle's collar is still cancelling Ace's magic...in a magic school. This is objectively detrimental to his studies). And so he makes Riddle a tart, not even being sassy about it, like the guy genuinely is offering this hoping to be forgiven. And what does Riddle do? Throw it away.

Working hard on something, and having someone badmouth it is one thing. To have the person you made said thing for PHYSICALLY DESTROY IT right in front of you...is probably not a good feeling. Ace is stronger than me I would've cried but anyways

Thirdly, in case you guys forgot, Ace was pissed but still kept his calm until Riddle insulted Yuu's lack of education, as well as the fact that their parents could not use magic. Despite everything that had happened to him, Ace did not snap and resort to violence until his friend was insulted. The only time he actually lost it was when he became angry on behalf of his friend, as well as the only person that would let him stay over after Riddle had kicked him out of his dorm.

I don't know if this particular fact plays any part in Ace's anger, but it's something to note that Riddle calls out Yuu for having parents who cannot use magic, and Ace has mentioned that his father cannot use magic either. It's possible that he may have taken it personally as well, but that fact was not revealed at the time of Episode 1's release, so I won't go into it much.

Fourth and lastly, putting aside all previous offenses, Riddle straight up nearly killed Ace. Yes, Riddle was not in the right state of mind and yes, going through overblot is extremely stressful and damaging to him. But the one being attacked was Ace. Overblot is exceedingly rare, and there were a variety of ways this could have gone badly had they not had the power of plot armor. Honestly, the fact that Ace wasn't angrier with Riddle is commendable because how do you respond to someone apologizing for almost killing you like.

C'mon now. Be honest how many of you guys would be willing to forgive and forget. Would you not feel a little wary? Or upset? Because I guess now you can't even be properly angry because he apparently wasn't in the right state of mind when he tried to kill you. I'm sure it was probably complicated for Ace but he handled it like a champ tbh. Anyways

Now we have established all the reasons why Ace is, (hopefully by now you guys understand) understandably angry, I hope you guys keep these things in mind as we continue forth.

Since we have now laid out the facts, let us finally dive into the actual analysis.

Regardless of how we feel about Ace's alleged insensitivity and demands, we can all agree that what Riddle did to Ace was in no way okay right? It was straight up shitty. And what did Ace ask for as compensation for 1) kicking him out of his dorm 2) throwing away his hard work 3) insulting his friend and 4) nearly killing him? A redo party and a tart.

My guy could've asked for anything in the world, anything at all. Riddle knew his faults, and he probably knew that Ace had every right to embarrass him, punish him, or ask something outrageous of him.

And yet all that he asked for was a redo party and a tart that Riddle himself baked. It almost sounds too simple, too easy really. This is the first sign that what he asked for is not as simple as what it may seem on the surface.

But before we talk about that, let's loop back to the whole point of this chapter. Riddle was a tyrant because he never faced any consequences for his actions. There are two sides to this. The first side is as mentioned above, he was a tyrant because no one ever thought to berate him for his actions.

Riddle overblotting and nearly straight up killing people is by far the biggest mistake he could have ever made. It's not something small, it could actually end someone's life. If you don't enforce some consequences then, when will you enforce consequences? Until someone actually dies???

That is precisely why Riddle needed to face some sort of consequence for his actions. In this case, what the consequences were did not matter. What mattered was that he needed to know "What you did was wrong and when you do this shitty thing, something is going to happen".

Now, the second side to Riddle's complex is the fact that Riddle may be an absolute tyrant now, but in his childhood, he was reprimanded and punished for the smallest of mistakes. Being punished is a large part of his trauma, which is exactly why I mentioned above "something is going to happen" instead of "there will be punishment for bad behavior". Because what Riddle needs is not punishment, and Ace knows this.

Ace knew full well that Riddle was in a rough spot, and he saw Riddle breaking down in front of his eyes. He could've humiliated Riddle as punishment, kick him out of the dorm, make him face the same things Ace himself went through as a result of Riddle's actions. However, he asked for a redo party and a tart, neither of which Riddle associates with "punishment". On the contrary, these are things Riddle likes.

Moments before Riddle cries, he admits that he wanted to eat the tart Ace made for him, and that he wanted to hang out with friends too.

What Ace requested of Riddle was less for himself and more for Riddle. He gave him a consequence that would require hard work, but did not have any traumatic or negative associations tied to it. If anything, it would be something Riddle enjoyed doing. It was not punishment, it was a consequence. It's much more gentle than any consequence Riddle had ever faced in his life.

This is also further demonstrated when Ace was able to laugh off his tart tasting horribly. If he really cared about the party, if he really cared about the tart, if any of his demands meant anything personally to him, Ace would've been more upset. But he wasn't.

When Ace refused to forgive Riddle as he cried, many characters called him out for being a jerk. However, Yuu comments after Ace demands a redo party and a tart, saying that Ace isn't very honest. They know that Ace's way of saying things may be rude, but he truly does have Riddle's best interests in mind.

Also side note but I think it's really funny how Ace gets so much shit for interrupting Riddle and saying he won't forgive him, when TREY was also part of the conversation. Riddle started crying, Ace says he won't forgive Riddle, and Trey comes in and says no what you did was wrong and you need to apologize rn 💀

Only after that did Ace demand a redo party and yet people are out here bitching about Ace being terrible to Riddle and not forgiving him instantly while he's crying.

Trey interjecting to tell Riddle off is like a key point in his character arc too because he finally stepped up to say something when Riddle was in his right mind so idk how u guys just conveniently forgot Trey's involvement in Riddle's post overblot and pin everything on Ace.

However TO CONCLUDE, the party and tart that Ace asked for was very much a form of symbolism and a chance for Riddle to start over with a clean slate.

(Also last minute adding this in but having a redo party is a great idea because things may still be tense between Riddle and his dorm mates, and if Riddle is now hosting another party without all the strictness, it will show to his previously angered dorm mates that he has changed and they have no need to be wary of/continue to hate him.)

It is not just Ace being selfish or Ace being mean and I'm going to bite the next person that says so. Thank u for coming to my ted talk

Human au where to most everyone, Dream is a complete bitch, difficult to please and quick to be dismissive. He’s got a very small inner circle of friends he’s not as mean or rude to, but even to them he’s at best snarky or just neutral.

Except lately, whenever his new boyfriend Hob walks into the room, Dream will instantly make a complete 180 and become the sweetest, gentlest, most butter-wouldn’t-melt-in-his-mouth innocent, tactile and lovely boyfriend in the world. Even if Dream is talking to other people, so long as Hob is still in the vicinity the worst anyone could call him is quiet (this doesn’t happen often though, as if Hob is in the vicinity Dream will usually opt for tucking himself into his side and shyly(!) hiding his face in Hob’s neck). It’s nothing Hob does or says that prompts it, not even a look or touch, Dream just does it the moment he’s within Hob’s presence. The transformation is so complete that anyone who’s only ever met Dream when he’s with Hob has no problem believing him to basically be Hob’s sweet little kitten.

Dream doesn’t acknowledge this at all, will go from one attitude to the other and back like a light switch based on Hob’s movements, and completely ignores the confusion and bewilderment from those around him. A few people have been brave enough to approach Hob alone and ask about the discrepancy, but he only shrugs and responds that he’s never seen Dream being mean, he’s only ever known his boyfriend as an absolute sweetheart. The whole situation leaves everyone feeling like they’re in the Twilight Zone and very off-kilter (and also wondering if it was at all possible to pay Hob to just follow Dream around and keep him docile).

(Unbeknownst to everyone, including Dream, Hob does in fact know that his boyfriend is normally bitchy and difficult to deal with. He’s just patiently waiting for Dream to feel more secure in their relationship to show that side of himself, to trust that Hob isn’t going anywhere and that Dream isn’t going to scare him off (honestly Hob is kind of looking forward to Dream bringing his mean side to the bedroom, either for some brat-taming or even for pushing Hob around). In the meantime, it’s not like the whole adorably sweet thing is entirely a bit, Dream genuinely feels that happy, pleased, and calm whenever Hob is around. So Hob will happily enjoy his darling kitten while he bides his time until Dream feels comfortable enough to show him his claws)

I'm absolutely crying at the idea of Dream being like the equivalent of the kind of girl whose voice goes up an octave whenever her boyfriend is around (which I don't mean as criticism in any way btw, I just think it's hilarious). From panther to kitten in less than a second - his friends and family are getting whiplash!

Hob legitimately loves Dream at either end of the spectrum, and he loves the way he can see Dream coming out of his shell a little bit more every day. Like now sometimes Dream will freely make an incredibly grumpy face whenever Hob does something annoying. Or he'll passive aggressively correct something that Hob just did. All very small things, entirely normal within a relationship, and Hob just can't stop grinning each time.

The first time he really sees Dream’s mean side is when someone starts flirting excessively with Hob at a party. Dream inserts himself physically into the conversation, gives the guy this look like he's a bit of dirt on the floor. And he says something absolutely bitingly mean about his choice of clothes. Hob actually gasps, and has to stop himself from laughing.

Afterwards Dream is extra sweet, hiding away in Hob’s chest so cutely all evening. But once they're home, Hob carries him straight off to bed and gives him a thorough scolding for being such a naughty boy.

By "thorough scolding" I mean he really rewards Dream’s behaviour by eating his pretty little hole out until he cums untouched. But really, Hob was just so pleased to see his wonderful, sparky Dream come to life. How could he help encouraging his darling to be himself?

Let's start with their yandere behavior.

Karma is Manipulative/Cunning, Obsessive, Sadistic, Impulsive, Jealous/Possessive, yet also Empathetic and Laid-back.

Gakushu is Obsessive, Manipulative, Controlling, Possessive, and very Persistent.

The two act very similar and share some traits.

Despite Karma looking like he has more traits, you could argue they're even or Gakushu is worse due to his popularity.

Both yanderes share the Obsessive, Manipulative, and Possessive yandere trait.

They would never be yanderes who share, however.

They are both yandere who like to mess with your head but they'd have so much conflict.

First of all... they're in two different classes.

Gakushu is the best of the best, while Karma is part of Class-E... a class looked down upon.

Karma has a tendency to be more violent than Gakushu, but Gakushu can still be a threat.

You could meet either first, it doesn't entirely matter.

The other will eventually know about you.

You could be part of a higher class like Gakushu or be in Class-E like Karma.

When they do meet each other they seem like the type to give passive aggressive comments towards each other.

They already have a strained rivalry with each other but it only gets worse when they realize they both like you.

Karma is going to, of course, taunt Gakushu about it.

This frustrates Gakushu but he tries to keep a calm personality and vows to show Karma where he belongs.

He'll even do some taunting of his own.

They are both the type of yandere to be intrigued when they're hooked on you, researching and watching you to determine why you invade their thoughts so often.

Karma is going to tease you as he always does, he'd also rub the fact he's able to in Gakushu's face.

Gakushu isn't one for teasing... but seeing Karma so laid-back around you is infuriating.

What does he think he's doing?

Karma takes joy in harassing Gakushu.

He likes to get in his rival's head.

Gakushu likes to do the same to Karma, but it's not out of sadistic desire.

He messes with Karma in an attempt to get him to back off.

Karma mostly likes to be a pain in the ass to Gakushu as he's concerned about what he'd do to you if he let him have you.

Karma has empathy towards you... unlike Gakushu.

The dynamic is Gakushu trying to manipulate you into trusting him and only him... after all, he sees you as his little puppet/doll to play with.

Meanwhile Karma is trying to sabotage Gakushu the entire time, wanting to keep you to himself instead of leaving you to some popular kid.

If not, then the other way around happens.

There would be fights.

Karma is eager to use violence against Gakushu, especially if it means he gets to keep you.

Gakushu normally uses other means to get rid of rivals... but when it comes to Karma...

Part of him wants to beat him at his own game.

A blow to the ego

They're both pretty selfish yanderes.

They like the idea of molding your mind into what they want and keeping you as their plaything.

They taunt each other, they get into verbal fights, and they even get physical.

It's easy to think that Karma is better due to his Assassination Class when it comes to fighting.

But I'd argue that Gakushu, as the plotting principal's son, is somewhat even matched if not a little lower.

Their goals with you are very similar.

Karma cares more for you than Gakushu does though.

Gakushu is more in love with obtaining you and controlling you at first.

Karma's obsession starts with intrigue and curiosity towards you, before finally falling for you because you're you.

They both utilize charisma to convince their darling and it's like they mirror each other in yandere behavior at times.

Essentially, their entire rivalry is countering each other.

They'd both flirt, they both feel you're theirs... it's a game of tug of war.

Gakushu is more calculating than playful in his yandere behavior but besides that they rival each other in behavior.

That's what happens with foil characters... they're similar to their counterpart yet have differences to emphasize other traits.

They'd both be capable of kidnapping.

Karma learned it for hostages in his class.

Gakushu learned it from his father... probably... that's up in the air.

Karma may be a bit more capable of murder than Gakushu, but Gakushu can still make rivals disappear if he feels it's needed.

They both have such similar goals... yet despise the idea of allowing the other to win at anything.

There's no point in making a choice... both of them are nearly identical... in the end your fate is the same... a toy to play with as much as they desire.

It’s so cute how wide with wonder Seonghwa’s eyes are, soaking up the rainbows of flowers and your own gazes of shock and joy. You’re sure you looks like he does, filled with the most joyous wonder, but no matter what his infectious happiness is enough. When you finish, he asks if you’d like to exchange your bouquets, and with your heart thumping, you agree. Forrest Bondurant

Normally, he’d never step inside a lingerie shop since it’s a woman’s domain. However, one day the mood strikes him and leaves him thinking he has to prove himself capable. So, instead of waiting outside as he usually does, he tags along.

Now, Forrest is not one for shopping at all. He even leaves groceries fully to you (unless you’re too busy, he’ll get them himself then). However, the way he acts in the lingerie shop has you rethink your assumptions about your stoic grumpy husband.

He passively aggressively hands you bras he thinks look good on you but refuses to say why exactly. Most of them are white or the colour of sand and have botanical embroidery or lace. In the fitting room, it’s hard to tell his opinion on stuff because, being a man of few words and a lot of grunts, the best you can get out of him is a sound you’ll have to interpret yourself.

Though there are varying degrees of approval in his noises, he thinks you look marvellous regardless of what you’re wearing. However, he might lose it if you show him a garter.

Leo Demidov

His usual stern though calm demeanour crumbles the moment you point out a lingerie shop you want to visit. Nevertheless, not wanting to deny you anything, he lets you pull him along. His discomfort is noticeable in the way he’s even more quiet than usual and refuses to let go of your hand. Also, he avoids your eyes, especially when you ask him what he thinks about the item in your hand.

In a low voice like he’s embarrassed to be heard, he points out bras and briefs that make him think of things at home, like the strawberry patch in your garden.

Leo loves pastel colours on you, but especially blueberry blue because it was over a cup of tea and blueberry scone he first fell for you.

Alfie Solomons

He has the time of his life and that is not an exaggeration. In fact, he probably enjoys shopping for lingerie more than you do. Then again, can you blame him? Alfie loves to dress you up (especially in silk) and spoil you rotten.

The employees can’t help but gawk as he hands you one item after another, soon leaving you blindly tagging after him because you’re too busy balancing the load in your arms. Neither do they stop him when he accompanies you to the fitting rooms because they know who they’re dealing with and know it’s less than advisable to go against the King of Camden. Nevertheless, he suppresses his urges until you’re home because he doesn’t want to let them have to deal with the aftermath just because he had to have his Queen.

But once you’re home, oh dear. Save to say, you won’t be getting out of bed after you’ve shown him all your new pretty outfits.

Eddie Brock

He’s shy at first because it’s already embarrassing to him he’s in a lingerie shop. Doesn’t matter you’re his girlfriend (soon to be fiancée), it feels like trespassing into uncharted territory. What’s more, rather than a bloke accompanying his girl, he’s one who occasionally talks to himself and so attracts unwanted attention. Well, you know he’s actually talking to Venom, but others don’t.

Speaking of Venom, the symbiote and Eddie are at odds when it comes to what they think looks good on you. Venom is a firm advocate for anything black, especially loving it if there are moonstone accents and intricate patterns. Eddie, on the other hand, is a firm believer in red and pink as well as simplistic design.

Nonetheless, you give him a look of utter disbelief when he points out a rosy brief with a fluffy pompom attached to the back. Venom agrees with Eddie’s opinion it makes you look like a bunny, an adorable prey. However, you and it are of one mind in that it’s surprising he likes this kind of thing.

Bob Saginowski

You could not even move him with a truck. Bob is hellbent on staying outside while you shop. The one time he went in he immediately regretted it. His ears were already tinged pink when his gaze fell on the store’s contents. However, they became a bright crimson when an image of you in the mint green set with an intricate lace pattern the mannequin in front of him wore popped into his head.

The flush crept to his cheeks when you started asking him his opinion on the items you picked, holding up bras to your chest or dangling briefs in front of him. Not a single word could be wrenched out of him, his short-circuited brain having left him an absolute disaster.

Bob insisted it was fine to try on some stuff, weakly gesturing to the fitting rooms and sticking up a thumb to show it was alright. You, on the other hand, wanted to put him out of his misery. After all, though funny at first, you could tell how uncomfortable he was. So you made your way to the till instead and went home.

Not that wearing lingerie there affects him any differently.

James Delaney

Is it you doing the shopping or him? James, despite his stoicism, is almost extremely critical when it comes to lingerie. He’ll have a comment ready about every piece you pick and isn’t at least entirely black. Yes, entirely because God forbid you pick something with even a smidge of colour. This is not a joke, by the way. Either it’s black or it’s a no. After all, he’s the one who’s paying.

Look, you tried to pay yourself in the past but either always found yourself cut off at the pin machine or the amount miraculously transferred back to your account via a bank account held by J.K. Delaney. Though he won’t admit it outright, James likes having financial control. Be it the bills, your expenses on wants (things you technically don’t seriously need but are nice to have, like clothes), the groceries, the mortgage, new furniture, he pays. You don’t know where he gets the money from because to you his antiquarian business seems fairly quiet, generating enough income to get by. The same goes for the articles he writes for academic publications. You’ve given up on asking, though, because each time you merely got a slightly displeased grunt and an off-handed comment not to worry. On the bright side, you at least get to finally pay your health insurance yourself!

Unlike Alfie, James doesn’t care about making a mess of the fitting rooms. If he wants his girl, he’ll have her on the spot. Bonus points if she looks especially marvellous in the set he picked for her (and which will definitely be bought). The staff just keep their fingers crossed and hope for the best each time you two drop by.

Gojo may be a laid back guy, but the moment you're in danger all bets are off and he's dedicating everything to finding you.

He's not above getting help either, using his many connections in high places to find you faster. 

He's a little bit reckless though, rushing things to get you home, even if he (unwittingly) puts your safety at risk

And God help the poor bastard that took you when he finds you (and he will find you.)

He's going to put that bitch in a domain expansion so fast his head is going to literally spin.

Typically Gojo goes for the quick and painless route, but this guy doesn't deserve it.

After, he's taking you home and putting every precaution in place to make sure it does not happen again.

He's showering you in affection and apologies for ever letting such a thing happen. 

After that, he starts to train you in at least hand to hand combat basics so you're never vulnerable like that again

Suguru Geto

Pissed but quietly pissed. 

He's immediately calculating how to get you back.

He still puts on his facade of being ok though. Like nothings wrong.

To outsiders, he couldn't be less affected about what was happening and was only passively trying to find you

What they don't see is the amount of all nighters he's pulled, practically pulling his hair out to try and pinpoint your location.

He goes back and forth between blaming you and blaming himself. Blaming you because it's easy, blaming himself because, as far as he's concerned, he's it's true. 

He starts to doubt himself. Did you want to leave? Did he scare you away? 

He still has to have you back, so he can ask these questions himself. 

He's reckless to a fault, making decisions that he knows may get you hurt, but telling himself it's for the greater good to bring you home.

He's losing sleep, losing composure, losing patience, losing himself.

When he does find you the relief is instant 

And when he finds the bastard that took you away from him all that he has left is rage. 

The rage he's been holding away breaks out of him in a fiery storm

That was honestly the most pure aggression you have ever seen from that man.

Once you’re home it's business as usual. Of course the welcome home was warm and he made sure you knew that he was elated to have you in his arms again.

But other than that, no real changes

Nanami is above all else calm.

Panicking isn't going to fix the situation, and losing his head is just going to make it take longer to get you home. 

He doesn't blame himself or you or anyone other than the perpetrators because again, that would solve nothing. 

Nanami is here to get results not lose himself in emotion

Honestly he cuts off all of his emotion to get you home. He goes into robot mode to try and get the most efficient results 

He's also willing to ask for help and throw his weight around to try and bring you home. 

His morals are normally strong, but in this situation they start to get fuzzy. Fuzzy enough that he's willing to kill in cold blood. 

Now, here's the thing though: his number one priority is your safety. 

There is no use bringing you home if you're dead. So he's careful not to be reckless 

If it comes down to bringing you home a few days later or you being hurt in anyway, he's going to choose to bring you home later

Because in his mind, you're coming home either way. The only variable is if you come home in one piece or not. 

Once he finds who did this though, all bets are off. 

Once you're secure and safe (and preferably in a place where you can't see him) he's letting all that pent up emotion out

Rip to whoever took you cause that's Nanami's new target practice dummy. He won't kill them though. That would be too easy. He's going to make them wish he killed them

Once you're home though, a different emotion comes out of him.

He's just relieved to have you home. 

He's cuddly, he doesn't want to let you go ever again.

In fact, he took the next week off work just to be with you again.

Which means he's not leaving your side for even a second that entire week

Pure. Seething. Rage.

The thought of you being around someone else, touching someone else, smelling like someone else sends him into a black out rage.

He needs you back now to undo whatever the fuck that bastard did to you. 

Needless to say, he's too reckless to think about your safety. 

Honestly pray for the person that dared to touch you.

Because when Sukuna finds them, the clean up crew is going to need a sponge to get them to their funeral. 

I'm talking you hear screaming for you don't know how long before Sukuna came and got you, coated in a red mist.

And he's still pissed though no longer violently so.

When you get back, you realize you've basically been kidnapped again cause Sukunas leash on you just got almost unbearable.

Ok Andy this had been on my mind for a while now and I really want to hear your thoughts on this!

So we all know that Shouto is pure husband material, the kinda guy you'd be proud to introduce to your parents! But yk all those years of abuse and trauma (our poor bby ;-;) would definitely take a big toll on anyone, right?! So I was reminiscing about the earlier episodes where he is all closed off and cold to everyone, and that really got me thinking... what would dating Shouto REALLY be like.

How much of his behavior in a relationship really be affected by his past? Obviously nobody is perfect and even though our princess man comes close what do you think his shortcomings are as a person/partner? What do you think his toxic traits would be? What could be some of his bad habits? How would he react during an argument? I used to hc that he would be really calm and passive but then I remembered this scene

Ofc us being his partner would change things, but he DOES lash out at times. The police officer hadn't yelled at them, he was just explaining what they did was wrong according to the law (which could be unfair but thats his job) and he straight up called him a slur 💀 (well yk in this society where so many ppl have animal related quirks it probably is a slur? Idk tho). He was sorry later but still. I was so shocked when I internalized the fact that Shouto does infact have quite a temper, even when he's not rude/ aggressive about it. It doesn't make him bad or anything because 9/10 times it's well warranted and I am just a pussy who doesn't handle other's anger well but yk...

I am really wanna take his character and study him under a microscope and I am really interested to see your pov on this. Also don't feel inclined to agree with anything I said if you dont, I asked you precisely cuz I wanted a different way of looking at him from mine.

Btw none of this is to paint him as a bad person or partner because of a few shortcomings or his trauma. We all know he's too precious for that and that would be hypocritical of me especially since I have many of my habits and unhealthy ways of dealing with stuff that I dislike, but I also feel like he has so much angst potential in issues that aren't necessarily rooted in his family but moreso his own personality. Healing is often a "one step forward and three step back journey" and while I hate to watch him struggle, his perseverance gives me a lot of strength. Also obviously people change over the course of time and character development and all that, but we see even after the MASSIVE amounts of character development Bakugo has he still retains a lot of his previous qualities and obviously still struggles with a few things. I wonder if it's similar for Shouto. I wonder what he struggles with 🤔 (idk why I am scared but I don't want ppl to take these dumb sleepy thoughts of mine the wrong way yk lol)

Yes!!! I have so many thoughts about this, particularly as someone who also has daddy issues and a hot temper but actively works to be better as well lol.

I do think for the most part we've really seen Shouto move past who he was in those earlier episodes. That is not to say he still doesn't have those feelings, but he arguably manages them in a more regulated way. He has the temper but now he also has the tools and the perspective to better articulate himself.

I think generally Shouto would work hard to be calm and patient during an argument, but as with any human being, mistakes will be made and tempers will spike. I think during particularly bad arguments he'd get more closed off, like in those earlier episodes, would try to go off by himself so that he doesn't explode with that white-hot rage.

I do think, thankfully, that Shouto's ability to show empathy and compassion even in the middle of what we know are the most emotionally trying times of his life (the fights with Dabi), bodes well for his future ability to communicate and regulate himself on the whole. I do not see him as the kind of man who would yell or break things; I see him as the kind of man who now does everything in his power not to be like that.

And also with a face like that, would we not just let him win any argument anyway?? LOL

if you were somehow able to harm him, there would be a moment of pride that you would be strong enough both mentally and physically to attack him. he would feel even more pride if you left a mark on him.

however, this feeling is short-lived and he doesn't waste any time in stopping you and dragging you back to your room.

he doesn't immediately visit you, instead he makes sure that there aren't any other alternatives for you to escape to and to make sure that there isn't anyone else that was with you.

once he knows for sure that there isn't anyone else and that you're secure, he might wait a few hours before he actually goes to talk to you. he has someone watching you at all times until he decides that you're ready to talk.

his reaction might depend on how you react when he walks into your room. if you start cursing him out, attacking him, anything that's more violent or aggressive, he'll just push you away. while that may not seem like much, it's gonna feel like he threw you to a wall due to his strength.

if you are more passive, or if you just don't automatically attack him, it's gonna be way more awkward. he expects you to be violent with him, so when you're just sitting there waiting for him to say something, he waits for you to say anything.

either way, once he knows you've calmed down, he'll explain to you what his plan for you will be. anything that would be considered leaving apocalypse or him would not be allowed. you would have someone watching you at all times, even when you slept. everything that you could do beforehand is either not allowed or you must have someone watching over you. your privacy isn't really considered throughout all this, either.

he doesn't care how much you cry or beg for forgiveness, because he does not care. to him, you dug your own grave and now you must lay in it.

unless you also destroyed something or killed someone very important to his plans, he's gonna act like nothing happened. actually, the person who would watch over you the most would be him.

your regular duties and classes would be the same, but he might add on a class or two and make you be with the furies for longer.

if you somehow did destroy something or kill someone important, he would just ground you. you can't leave your room, you can't talk to anyone but him, and you wake up at a certain time of day and, if you can't sleep well, he'll drug you.

actually, if he finds that your behavior continues for a while, he'll just start giving you different drugs to see which ones make you calm but aware.

doesn't care about how you feel about the whole situation, he only cares about the fact that you will never do something like it again. while he's still a little proud of your courage and strength, you might as well be one wrong move away from beating you ass himself.

he hopes that one day you'll never have another thought about leaving him.

Lucas Koh as a Dad

Hear me out…

This one is hard for me because I’m one of those who can’t see him as a father. Yes, it’s canon that he doesn’t want kids. So I’m going to step out of my comfort zone to deliver.

The only way he would become a father, or even entertain the idea of being a father, would be if he found the right person first. It would take years and years of begging and pleading for him to agree. Or a divine miracle. That being said, if he becomes a father, he’s only having one child, and it will be a girl. A son would trigger his trauma with his own father, and it would make him a cold and distant father. If he chose to even stay in his life, but that’s a different story for a different day.

🖤 Trust me, they already know it’s a girl. Lucas knows the entire process and what it entails. He’s going to go through it with ease. He’s going to be reluctant to hold her because, frankly, he’ll be scared. So many emotions will be going through him, but he’ll be calm and collected on the outside.

🖤 There is no one on Earth that will be more protective of his child than Lucas Koh. I mean that man will know where his daughter is, who’s with her, what’s going on with her, at all times. He will have a hawk’s eye on her.

🖤 Lucas may not always be the one getting up to change or feed her. In fact, I do see him considering a full-time live-in nanny.

🖤 The more that the reality sets in, he will become more in tune with fatherhood. It will scare him to death. He’ll constantly need reassurance. He knows he can provide financially for her, but he’s more scared of providing emotionally to his daughter.

🖤 If you think he’s going to be the type of dad to play dress-up or dollhouse, I’m sorry but that isn’t him. If she wants to play doctor, though, that’s more his thing. That’ll include him explaining what the tools are for. She won’t understand him but continue playing.

🖤 It’s true this little girl will have everything she could ever dream of: the sun, the moon, and every star. However, she will be used to hearing the word “no” sometimes. The last thing Lucas wants is a bratty child.

🖤 You know how parents go all out for their kids’ first birthday? Lucas will have the most exquisite, most lavish party for his daughter.

🖤 Lucas will regularly attend therapy. Having a child really made him think about his past. He doesn’t want his daughter hating him or resenting him later on, so he wants to work on healing his trauma so he doesn’t repeat it.

🖤 This is really random but I can also see his daughter being extremely beautiful. Even as a newborn. She’ll be one of those adorable little girls with pretty, long, straight hair. The older she gets, the more she resembles Lucas.

🖤 When it comes to her education, Lucas will have her enrolled in the most top notch school around. If there is one thing he’s strict on it’s her grades. He wants her to have an education before anything else. He wants her to be successful. I can definitely see him enrolling her in boarding school.

🖤 Dating will be forbidden until she moves out on her own. In his house her education comes before dating. Lucas isn’t stupid—he knows she’s beautiful and her peers know it too. If she does sneak around and date, without Lucas knowing, well, let’s hope she doesn’t get caught. Yikes.

🖤 I don’t see him always attending her events or activities because of his work schedule. He does try. He really does. Sometimes he just can’t get out of it.

🖤 Once a week, Lucas takes his daughter out to any restaurant of her choice. They order the same thing and sit at the same table. After eating, they go shopping or any activity that she wants to do. He enjoys one-on-one time with her. He enjoys making memories that will have a big impact on her.

🖤 Becoming a father has made Lucas grow as a man. Will he have fights with his daughter? Absolutely. He knows that. Instead of being passive-aggressive, like he usually is, he’s the first one to apologize. Especially if he overreacted. She is far more important to him than holding a grudge.

🖤 It may have been a long journey, but eventually Lucas will learn that he is capable of loving another human as deeply as he does his daughter. The fear of making a mistake will never leave him entirely, it’ll always be there. Every father has it, and Lucas knows it’s okay. He may not be the type of father that Bruno, or Gary, is but that doesn’t mean he loves his daughter any less. Lucas is the type of father who teaches structure and discipline. She knows she is loved, and wanted.

Can Nergal, Demuzi and Geshtu die like the others or are they immune to dying?

Short answer, yes their flesh bodies CAN be killed. And they HAVE been killed before. They don’t necessarily starve or get ill, but they can be killed.

Long answer, that does not mean that it’s easy to do! If they die, the idols are unprotected, and if the idols are unprotected that is not good for them. And because they have been killed before, they are extra on guard. It will take a lot of luck to catch them off guard and Nergal is pure bad luck so…

This is why Dumuzi and Geshtu rarely come up to the surface and why Nergal has to enjoy surface life mostly through his idol or in disguise. Icky is a special case because he is just so bad at being homicidal that Nergal sees him as less of a threat than he does the normal nonhomicidal treefolk. It’s pretty insulting for Icky tbh. But Nergal cannot contain himself he gets SO BORED being cooped up in his burrow he needs to be able to have SOME fun outside.

Nergal tends to avoid Splendid and Flippy because they are actual threats, even though he will NEVER admit it. But the moment Nergal feels threatened he will not hesitate to strike someone down or to open a crack in the ground and leap in, returning to the safety of his burrow. The God of bad luck and inflicted death is terribly afraid of dying, ironically. But it’s easy to play it off like you aren’t when you have the world at your fingertips with god powers. As long as he feels in control, his arrogance and cockiness remains intact.

People can handle and mess with his idol as long as his body is alive because he has full power to protect it. In fact, he finds this very fun to do. But If he’s dead, the idol is on autopilot, it’s not as aggressive or strong with it’s bad luck and cannot protect itself. Nergal also is in charge of keeping the other Idols protected. If Dumuzi or Geshtus idols somehow get touched or grabbed, he instantly knows and will act accordingly. As long as his body is still alive that is.

So when they are killed, their idols go into passive autopilot. If all three are killed, the regeneration process is very slow, meaning their idols are at risk for much longer. If just Nergals body is killed, Geshtu and Dumuzi can revive him relatively fast but the bad luck on the Isles calms down and becomes less frequent. If Geshtu is killed, the blood takes much more time to prepare. If Dumuzi is killed, the regeneration step is what takes longer.

Donnie and Raph

The Raph and Donnie dynamic is very important for any tmnt and 2003 does it so well.

Raph is so protective of Donnie. There are probably dozens of posts that say it as well as it can be said. Just watch any episode. Nobody lays a finger on or says a word against Donnie that doesn’t have to deal with Raph.

But why is he so protective of Donnie specifically? He jumps in front of Leo and Mikey too at different times, but it’s obvious he’s especially watching out for Don. This may be partially just out of necessity. The writers kind of made Don a weaker ninja (not physically less strong, but clumsier ninjitsu), otherwise he would be way OP being the tech guy and a ninja. (He still is kind of OP.) The brothers are all pretty close in skill but if there is one who needs someone to watch his back in a fight more than the other guys, it’d be Donnie. So is that it?

I choose not so. Raph has so much confidence in Donnie, not just his smarts but specifically his fighting. Look at the H.A.T.E. episode; Raph talks him into jumping from one moving car to another. And when Donnie finishes and just says “Raph, get down,” not explaining till later that he removed the Plutonium core, Raph is expecting an entire nuclear explosion and he just lets his little bro body block him. He’s pretty chill considering. Then in the ninja tribunal arc, when Donnie is able to tap into his mystic powers, he’s shocked and ecstatic and the first thing he does is look at Raph, who isn’t shocked at all. He just gives him a nod like “see I told you. Are you as proud of yourself as I am of you yet?”

So maybe it’s that he knows they need Donnie? He is the one who gets the most excited about weapons and vehicles, he’s probably thought about the fact that Donnie is the reason they’ve had those. But that doesn’t really fit Raph. He’s not the strategist, he makes decisions based mostly on emotion.

So he is emotionally attached to Donnie in particular. Probably because Donnie is the one who most openly looks up to him. When Raph helps out Mikey or Leo in battle, their focus still stays on the battle. Sure, they’ll holler a thank you. But look at Donnie’s face every time Raph jumps in front of him or yells at him to watch his back. Look at his face. Wouldn’t he be your favorite brother, too?

I think their mutual admiration has a lot to do with their opposite strengths. Raoh is impulsive, aggressive, but proactive and reliable. Donnie is flexible and resourceful, also passive and kind of unpredictable. Donnie helps Raph stay calm in an emergency. Raph helps Donnie stay focused and grounded in reality.

They also just bond over causing chaos together. Total enablers, both of them.

I’ll get into favorite moments because there will be a lot

Raph: I hate bugs!

Donnie: From the look of things you also hate (everything Raph accidentally broke) (it were an accident) (seriously Donnie can be such a bully sometimes—)

Raph: It really pisses me off.

Donnie, with The Fondest expression: Raph, everything pisses you off.

Raph: Not everything! … Okay, everything.

Raph, about football mascots: What about something more reptilian?

Donnie: The Turtles? Sadly the lowly turtle has been saddled with the stereotype of being velocity-challenged.

Raph: … say what. (No literally Donnie he doesn’t know what you said—)

Them playing video games together, forcing Mikey to give them a turn because he hasn’t in forever. You can just imagine the lead up. “Raphie, no one is paying attention to me.” “Hey don’t worry we’re gonna play that new game you were talking about tonight.” “There’s no way, Mikey always plays. He always plays.” “Oh yeah? Oh yeah?”

Raph: Those bozos May be tough, but Donnie here learned to drive in New York City.

(He offered to drive earlier. He does not trust Don’s driving but he still gets into the car—or completely unknown vehicle—with him every time.)

Raph’s “I gotta hand it to Donnie” intro

Donnie: Raphie? We got a problem down here.

Raph, already on his way to help: You think I don’t got problems up here?

Leo, about Raph: He’s crazy!

Donnie: Yeah, nuts… hey Raph, wait up!

When Donnie yells at them for accidentally throwing a frisbee at him and instead of snapping back Raph and Leo are both like, Hey baby bro are you okay? Have you been sleeping enough? Do you wanna talk about what’s been bothering you? Leo is precious here too but that’s how he always handles things, Raph is being soft specifically for Donnie
