I originally wasn’t going to post any art in solidarity. But I felt if I can get my stance and point across, I have my art. And I will use my art to stand with Palestinians. (Palestinians, I wanna ask if I got the pattern of the keffiyeh right. If I did anything wrong, plz let me know so I can fix it).
Regardless of the ICJ decision, no ceasefire was demanded and still Palestinians are being slaughtered left and right and are being displaced from their own home! Can you plz imagine how that’s like? Having to see your people be killed and having to be displace from your own home? Your own country? You should feel upset. You should feel angry. You should want to make a difference and try to stop any genocide! Even if it the last day of the strike, you should try to speak up about Palestine. Continue to boycott companies that would rather support the same people doing such atrocities than helping the oppressed. Call your reps. But please educate yourself about Palestine and why they need our help more than anything. We need to stop this genocide!
Also fuck the USA for siding with the oppressor. Fuck all the country including the USA suspending their funding to UNRWA. Fuck the USA for not seeing the bloodshed. For not stopping it but instead enabling it. I don’t care if I sound angry with this, I’m angry that this is still going on in 2024. There should be nothing neutral about this, there is nothing neutral about this. This.Is.simply.a.genocide. Wake up. Just genuinely take up! And if you do support the oppressor, please do not interact with my blog, I will not stand for it. Let that be known. (Also with that being said, I will not also condemn antisemitism.)
From the river to the sea. Palestine will be free

the first time i heard about the massacre in gaza was in 2008. i distinctly remember the news mentioning a "terrorist" group (not sure if it was hamas back then) causing trouble, and yet all the images and videos i saw were of children being murdered.
imagine an almost eight year old child watching children getting MURDERED on tv (and of course, i remember the grieving adults who lost their homes, their children, everything). and i remember most palestinians only having rocks to defend themselves while israel attacked them with fucking tanks.
i would see all this as a kid, and yet the news would clearly describe this as a "war" between one "terrorist" group and an entire military power aided by the united fucking states and several western countries. israel was "obviously" the victim because palestinians were a bunch of "savages" who wouldn't let israelis live in "their" homeland.
i think i began deconstructing what the western media taught me thanks to school. for one, i learned the united states were behind a lot of atrocities including in latin america (ESPECIALLY the military dictatorship here in brazil). and later i learned more about israel and how they followed the united states' steps by invading other countries as well. so they're definitely NOT the "victims".
and a few years later i finally realized, israel is a colonialist state. just like the indigenous people from what we call brazil that had their land stolen by the portuguese and other europeans, israel stole all that from palestine as well. this has been going on for decades.
the palestinians have resisted and will still resist. but they're not alone. i support palestine and i believe in their freedom. i may not be able to donate or really go to protests right now, but i will continue to share any resources i can.
i stand with palestine and i always will.

The media is complicit in the dehumanization of Palestinians with the language they continue to use. If they can’t even call children, children, then what do they truly think of them?

It’s so sad that in order to get people to care about Palestine, we completely ignore the thousands of innocent men who have been killed in this genocide. We have to say “children”, or “women and children”, with slightly lower numbers, because the full death count is somehow seen as less tragic when we include men.
My heart aches for the innocent men of Palestine who have been slaughtered. You mattered just as much as anyone else. And for the men who are doing everything in their power to help their fellow Palestinians, we love and respect you. Thank you for all that you do.

If any of you ever feel like what you're doing for Palestine isn't helping anything, I'll tell you right now it's helping me. I know it is fortifying all of us who have been in this fight for years to see so many people willing to speak up. It has never been like this before.
The tide has already turned. The fact that #free palestine will have new posts everyday, that helps me. It helps my mental health knowing that Palestinians are less alone now than ever.
Yesterday I read some verses from the Quran talking about how "the blame" is not with those who wish to help but cannot, but with those who CAN help and do not.
Truly I do not care if all you do for Palestine is post in that #free palestine everyday, that is still more than many people with the means to do even more would do.
We see you. We see you standing in solidarity with us and with Palestinians. We love you. Thank you.
