I feel like a lot of people undermine how hard it is to be a hero with a lot of responsibility. I have a lot of headcanons regarding Aizawa, that for example, his parents were really exigeant when it came to becoming a hero, especially his mother. She was a perfectionist, while his father just deemed him a useless failure. Aizawa retained this idea that no matter what he did, it just wasn't good enough. He's the type to suffer in silence and drown his sorrows with alcohol, as he was forced from a young age to grow up too fast.

He's the type to hide how he feels and fail to express emotions well, and only reacts with intense anger.

I think he ran away from that abusive environment from a young age, living as a nomad who found purpose in helping others instead. But I believe that he never got over anything, and still has too much to hide and cover up.

Now, I may or may not be projecting a little or reaching but these are my headcanons okay🫵🏻 but I think it’s very possible that Matthew could have suppressed anger issues like given all his insecurities with others always helping him and people not seeing him as a man and people just generally babying him it must’ve been really frustrating and it’s not hard to believe that he’d snap every now and then, and like..ugh I could sit and talk about it for days but the long and short I’m trying to convey here is that he has anger issues, he’s normally happy go lucky and suddenly he just gets SO wound up he snaps, and it’s violent, and when he calms down and the adrenaline leaves he’s worried, he’s panicked and concerned that HE just did something so out of character for himself, he’s worried he’s becoming like his father. he’s not a violent person, he doesn’t know why he lashes out like that.

i am very new to learning quechua and am having trouble finding resources to learn, do you know any? i also need some pointers on how to learn a new language from scratch since i dont really know where to start

I have a few resources, although the vast majority of them are from Spanish (I see an Argentine flag in your bio, so I'm hoping that isn't a problem).

English resources:

This website has extremely basic survival Quechua and audio in English, along with the romanization of words and phrases to pronounce them.

Here is extremely basic vocab for Bolivian Quechua; words only.

This wonderful source has a basic internet course for Quechua and if you explore it a bit includes a ton of information about the language along with places and people to contact that can help teach you.

Here is a very famous movie in Quechua with English subtitles that you can watch for free.

The movie Retablo is free on Tubi. It's about a Runa boy in Peru discovering his father isn't actually heterosexual and the repercussions he faces in the community and his own family because of it. Subtitles in English.

The Quechua Collective of New York periodically offers Quechua classes on Zoom, if you're willing to spend $90 for a 12-week course.

If you are extremely serious about learning Quechua, there are multiple universities that offer online courses with 101/201 usually in the Fall and 102/202 in the Spring. Purdue University, Oberlin College, Indiana University, UChicago, UPenn, University of Michigan, Northwestern University, East Carolina University, and the Ohio State University all offer courses, with all of them for sure offering online options except for UPenn and UMichigan--those I'm not sure. Expect to pay no less than $1500 for each course.

This pdf on Scribd. Scribd makes you do a free trial, but you can download as much material to your pc as your heart desires. I highly recommend that you do a trial, find and download as many relevant resources as you can, and then end the trial before the 30 days is up.

This wonderful human being's Instagram. T'ikita hasn't posted her usual reels and tiktoks lately but if you scroll back a little she has a ton of helpful videos in her Quechua Chic series with Bolivian Quechua. I also paid $25 a month to have Zoom lessons with her which we did using a mix of English and Spanish. She was amazing, but I feel like she would definitely prefer to teach in Spanish is why I'm putting her in this section. I think she may still do group classes but I'm not sure.

Wilfredo also teaches Bolivian Quechua from Spanish and has his WA number in his bio. My boyfriend took classes with him and seemed to enjoy it.

Qhalincha makes helpful instagram reels and offers group classes at an affordable price; I think she speaks Bolivian Quechua but I'm not 100% sure.

This is a general instagram account that teaches different dialects of Quechua.

This is like the above, but this Instagram has organized group courses seemingly at an affordable rate.

Peru's Catholic University has an online Quechua class (courses ranging from 1-2 months) that meets daily. The 2 month class is about $75.

Again, if you are EXTREMELY serious about learning Quechua, then the Centro Tinku program takes place in Cusco where you live with a Runa family and have the language taught to you in Spanish. If you're not attending a partner University with the organization, you may email programas@centrotinku.com to enroll directly with Centro Tinku. The cost is a whopping $4100, but Centro Tinku also offers 50% scholarships on tuition costs to Latin American students not eligible for other funding. UMich has more info about it here.

Listen to Renata Flores. She doesn't have many songs on here at the moment and isn't a native speaker, but I love her rap. She's super popular in Peru.

Italki has super cheap Quechua tutors. While most of the tutors teach in only Spanish and Peruvian/Cusco dialects, there is at least one who can teach from English a range of dialects such Boliviano, Cusco, and even Ecuadorian Kichwa.

I also have pdfs for Quechua resources including the insanely rare and critically endangered Cajamarca dialect, but considering the source has been taken down every time I see it pop up on the internet probably due to copyright violations, I 100% don't feel comfortable posting it here. If you trust me enough, I can email it to you or whomever seriously wants their hands on it.

Now, as for learning a new language, I would say don't even try to start until you've organized yourself a bit and set up goals for what you want to achieve. Sure, you want to learn Quechua, but there's always more learning to do with language acquisition. Where do you want to be in 3 months? Do you want to be able to introduce yourself and count and know colors? Start small, and build from there.

I think ChatGPT may be useful here too with creating outlines for achieving language learning goals if you prompt it with something along the lines of "I want to learn Quechua. I will spent 2 hours a day, 5 days a week studying. Set me up an outline and schedule I should follow in order to be conversational." (Yes, I used that exact prompt and it generated me a pretty solid learning schedule).

I will also always swear by flashcards and physically writing down new vocabulary and concepts. Practice speaking out loud to yourself even if it feels ridiculous. The Hellotalk app is also helpful as long as you are confident you can avoid random people insistently messaging you on it, and instead use it for native speaker interactions and corrections.

11. Do you have specific playlists for writing fics?

I don't listen to music while writing but I do listen to music when I walk to the uni or back to the dorm or when I'm on the bus to go home, and while listening to them, I love thinking about story ideas.

Here are some I actually have ideas for:

The Amazing Devil: The Calling (In a weak moment of mine I almost changed the plot of the story mentioned above so I could have the title of this song as the title of the story. But I didn't because no death on my watch. (Also, not writing but the artist in me loves to visualize the “shoulder the sky/open those eyes” part for some reason. If I was ever to make an animation, it'd be based on this part.)

The Amazing Devil: Inkpot Gods (“I'll be the man my father never was.” I think I don't even have to name the driver that comes to my mind when listening to this part of the song. Millions of story ideas based on this line only.

There's another important part in the song: “If I don't make it back from where I've gone/Just know I loved you all along.” I love this part because it has a connection with my first and only non-fanfic story. I could write long paragraphs about it but it's not a Formula 1 story so I don't think anyone here would be interested in it.

I used to have a lot of depressed story ideas based on Hold On by Chord Overstreet but I've never really written them because finding Daniel and joining the fandom helped with my mental health and since I'm better I don't really want to write about... Things I wanted to write about back then. Now I prefer writing about comfort, it's a bit healthier.

But... Born to Die by Lana del Ray is also a good song because the “You and I, we were born to die” part makes me want to write about Charles' suffering at Ferrari. But fortunately I'm not a diehard Ferrari fan, I have enough sadness in my life without it, too, so I'll leave it to the Charles fans who like pain.

Also, I really struggled with giving a title to my Piarles panic attack story so I opened my TikTok and started listening to the audios of my saved videos. (I sometimes save videos only because of the music, because when I draw I usually listen to TikTok videos.) It actually helped, the title is from Tattoo by Loreen.

So yeah, I like using songs for ideas but I rarely listen to them while writing. I prefer silence or the everyday noises in the house.

Spoiler warning for my Piarles panic attack story "All I care about is you".

Oh, yeah. The last time it has happened was when I just finished writing the Piarles panic attack story and I was sitting on my bed, rereading it and my brain went like “fucking hell, this shit is traumatizing” (I mean the (aftermath of the) things happening in it. It's way more than what's actually shown in the story (I might actually write a second part to it, I'm not sure yet because I have a few other prompts to write for)). So yeah I was sitting there, thinking about how I made Charles suffer even more and how I might have gone too far with it, with getting his brother involved in it, especially in the way I did it...

I don't really care about spoilers so I'm just gonna talk about it. About what's not in the story but will might be in the second part, if there ever will be one. So yeah, Arthur loses both of his legs (one fully, the other “only” below the knee) because of the crash. They can't save them. They can barely save Arthur because of the internal bleeding and other nasty things. When Charles first hears what's happened to him, he completely breaks down and Lorenzo has to pry him up from the floor. Something breaks in Charles. He won't ever be the same.

His little brother only has half of a leg, he might not even wake up, his mother is just sitting next to him, holding his hand silently. Charles knows she's been strong for too long. She had to be strong after losing her husband, she had to be strong for her kids, had to raise them, be there for them and now this happened. Too much. It's too much for her but she helds it together. Charles can't. And Lorenzo... He has to be the big brother. He can't lose both of his brothers. It was already hard enough for him to survive the loss of his best friend, Jules. He has to be there for Charles, Arthur and for their mother.

Oh, and Pierre's there too. He tries to support Charles (and the whole family) but it's really hard because nobody knows if Arthur will ever wake up and if he will, what will happen after he realized what happened.

(He'll wake up. As I said, no death on my watch.)

So yeah sometimes I can make myself really sad with the stories I write. That's why mostly write hurt/comfort and only a few “hard” angst or so. Not that “hard” in terms of real angst other people write but hard for my broken soul and snowflake mind.

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 7 CHAPTER 2!!!!!

First we start off wholesome with a touch of angst– Lilia and Malleus reminiscing and talking about GaoGao Dragon-kun, then talking about life and death..

Then we got all the dorms showing up to the part in order of what each dorm we met first! Love the wholesome moments, Lilia basically being a father figure to everyone including those he didn't even have a close relationship with. And apparently he's canonically considered a teen dad??!! And Mal is technically a fledgling??!! I thought they'd be around 30,000+ years old lol.

Yuu has another vision and is scared?, reminded me of book 5, from what I've heard, it might be that if someone about to overblot is getting dangerously close to hurting people or just overblotting, the visions come back as a warning? don't remember where I heard it from.

Silver crying..and at that moment, not only did my heart crack, Malleus decided to completely shatter it to bits. He really decided to speedrun his overblot as a farewell gift..only that it isn't a farewell gift, more like "Surprise! you're staying forever." gift. Lilia's scream, and Sebek is worried.. HNNG MY HEARTTT

Idia deciding to not touch grass is somehow both a great and terrible decision, great for us cuz- woo, a chance at survival! terrible for Idia because holy fuck he has to possibly fight MALLEUS??! Imagine he does decides "nope! no way!" and let Malleus tuck him in bed with the others lol.

And I read from someone on tiktok that apparently, all the overblots were just the prologue leading up to this moment?! If those were just prologues then I can't imagine how hard it must be to fight Malleus..And I wonder if that means there's gonna be more arcs, I hope it does! I want to see Neige overblot so bad for sm..even thought I love him 😭

I've heard audios of Malleus humming "Once upon a dream." Again, don't have the Japanese game, so not sure if it's real, but damn.. he sounds good! I already know he can sing from the Glorious Masquerade event, but his eerie humming with no bgm is really smth else for me..

from what I heard, Yuu is awake? Wonder if we gotta smooch everyone awake while Idia is distracting Malleus lol. I also wonder if RSA and Rollo is gonna hear of Malleus's overblot somehow and help! and since the ghosts I think can't be put to sleep, since you know, dead, will also help! It'd be really wholesome seeing Neige worry for Vil, Che'nya for his friends, and the ghosts for Grim, Yuu and the other first years.

edit: Okay so I watched a translation video, and Mal DOES sing, Mal DOES win the fight, and boots us back to the opening screen with some ripples. I've read some theories and some think that the events/vignettes are a dream made by Mal's overblot and that he already overblotted before book 7 even existed. And I think mahbe Rollo uses this as a chance to redeem himself and that's why he might return? This was a phenomenal story that was emotional, wholesome, and full of integrity, friendship, and unconditional love that is reaffirmingly important to have and give in all of our lives. Although this may contain subject matter that might be sensitive to some, I feel that it is done in a way that is real, raw and uplifting. Cathartic! And although it made me cry…it was incredibly comforting to see all the love that was shown in this story. It brought all the feels! A truly inspiring story!

This is Boone Rivers and Lilly Hoffman’s story. A story that is about how different people come into your life for a purpose and what we can learn from them. You simply did it because you liked him.

Anyway, so sappy stuff out of the way, you and Shoto start courting. He is smitten with you my love!

Like, he's walking you to and from your class (Aizawa tries to stop it, but he really can't), making sure you take breaks to eat, making sure no alphas come into bother you.

Working on a case with Vyn was always enjoyable. His rational thinking and his skills never fails to amaze you. But this certain case had brought out the most attractive side of him. This case was supposed to be handled by Artem but due to his busy schedule, you were picked to 'substitute'. This case needed you to go 'undercover' and find out where the oppositional client had spent all the money which your client gave them. Luke was supposed to go with you but he fell ill. If you were to ask Marius to come with you, you might as well be telling the opposing client your objective so you had no other choice but to ask Vyn to come with you. Being the absolute gentleman that he is, he agreed to accompany you.

But to his surprise, the opposing client was his cousin. Because of that, many problems arose. "Vilheilm! How amusing. Never have I ever thought that you'd go out with a commoner."  The man says while holding a glass of champagne. The mocking tone of the man made Vyn's blood boil but he had to keep his composure. Most importantly because you're beside him. "Neither have I ever assumed that you would stoop so low to the fact that you'd insult a lady. I guess your father's neglect had really hit you now, hm?" While Vyn dictates his defensive but somewhat rude remark, a proud smirk is written on his face. The amount of force wherein he said the word 'neglect' had made Vyn's cousin flinch. Because of that, he gets mad once more. Attempting to win the 'arguement'.

"How dare you talk back to me, Vilheilm?!"  the man shouts and stutters. "Dr. Richter, let's go shall we?" You try to intervene and stop it from escalating until the man opens his filthy mouth once more.

"Hah— You're just scared to be yelled at, are you? Fucking coward." the man snaps. You didn't pay much attention to it since he may be drunk but Vyn on the other hand, took it seriously. "What did you just say?" he says in an intimidating voice. You've never seen Vyn like this before. "Say it again. I dare you." He continues to taunt his cousin as he chuckles. "Are you deaf or something? I said she's a—" Before the man continues his sentence, Vyn grips his face with sheer strength as he looks down at the man. "You need to shut your mouth, You bitch." your eyes widen slightly because of his sudden insult but they narrow again as you whiff a smell of wine from him. Maybe it'd be better to take him home now. You hold his wrist as you then walk towards a couch in the distance. You scold him lightly as you give him a glass of water. He shows you a small pout while his glasses looks a bit crooked on his face. You can't help but smile at his current state.

John Bateman Background

I’ve mentioned a few times in the last couple of days how I love the idea of the small instances the viewers get of lucas’s personal life is sort of ambiguous in the sense (if you wanna be like me and make everything super fucking complicated and mysterious) that you can constantly ask yourself what are really his memories and what is background info that he grabs onto in order to maintain his lucas identity (because as part of finishing up the interview process for mi5 you’d have to know background and like ...mates. it’s mi5 like ... they’re gonna know. all i can imagine is john trying to write out information on some sort of application as lucas for mi5 and the only noise is that tiktok audio of like how will they know??).

Anyways, In 7x06 lucas tells the kid he’s momentary protecting (do i remember his name? no. it’s not integral to this) that his father was a Methodist minister and i was going back and forth on whether this was true or not and originally i was going to say it was a john memory but with the kid being involved in mi5 stuff, i don’t think he’d take that chance. So while lucas north’s father might have been a Methodist minister... john’s was not.

John Bateman was born on november 3,1982 (does this fuck with canon timeline? yes. but i’m not writing him in the 90s and early 2000s ... we’re making him a 2022 boy), which makes him 40 years old in the current year (2022). He was born  in Abbotsbury England, the only child to Paul (b. 1951) and Christine (b. 1957) Bateman who were 31 years and 25 years respectively on the day of his birth. 

Paul Bateman was a mechanically minded man that supported his family by essentially being the handyman for the village shops and inn. While originally focusing much of his time and work at the bed and breakfast known as number five, the increase in tourism as the years passed meant that as John aged, his father began taking on more and more jobs. He eventually was able to start being a one man service and hired on a few local boys to help as well. John was occasionally asked to come along or to help, but he complained the whole while. He didn’t like the monotony (in his mind) of his life and though he appreciated the scenery he grew up in, it eventually started losing its shine.
