Did Peri tell Timmy that he was planning to become a Fairy Godparent/that he was assigned a godkid? When we first see the fam reunite in the series, Cosmo and Wanda didn't seem to know.

Timmy had known Peri might pursue becoming a godparent, because Peri had consulted with him about career tracks!! And like. Being the only one invited to Peri's college graduation tends to give Timmy more insight than his parents. Special older brother privileges.

As for being assigned a Godkid, Timmy sorta... Stumbled into it. He found out long before Peri was told he had been given an assignment!

Be mindful of when, where, and how you groom in public. Avoid grooming habits in public that are going to leave a mess, and if they will leave a mess at least clean up after yourself. But overall, try to keep what grooming you can at home or in some sort of private space.

If you were to take out a pair of toenail clippers and start clipping your toenails at someone's housewarming party, you'd get some pretty strange looks, and probably asked to stop if not asked to leave. First of all, toenail clipping is something likely to leave a mess, a stray toenail clip just might fly off into another party-goer's drink. Or, it might just make other party-goers feel uncomfortable and squeamish.

Grooming is often considered something personal, which is why a lot of people might feel awkward seeing others groom themselves in public.

Keeping a brush or comb with you and occasionally running it through your hair might be fine depending on where you are, but be mindful of where you do it, especially if you're someone who tends to shed a lot, and clean up after yourself if you left behind any hairs on surfaces such as chairs or desks.

The general rule of thumb is that if it's something the majority of people in your culture keep to doing in the privacy of their bathroom at home, a lot of people are going to find it awkward if they see you doing it in a public space. Not only does it feel awkward to see someone doing something usually kept to the privacy of their bathroom at home, but things such as clipping toenails, plucking your mustache hairs, ect. are also things that can leave a mess, and most people are going to feel grossed out by finding someone else's toenail clippings or mustache hairs in public.

ok genuine question, what is up with the Layton fandom and headcanons about Layton being trans? Like what’s the basis for that theory?

There are some reasons why people like to headcanon Layton as Trans, but I think the biggest cause for the headcanon is the end of Azran Legacy:

"Theodore Bronev... I thought you should know that's your real name."

"You're mistaken. My name is Hershel Layton. I need no other name."

Wow Layton, you're standing up to your father and correct him when he calls you the wrong name? You decide on your own who you are? That's so cool of you and every trans person on this earth.

Anyways yeah, Layton has an actual deadname. Isn't that neat.

Your post about falin manifested some Thoughts in me. Seeing how such a big part of her arc was becoming more independent and discovering what She wants to do, mixed with a lot of parts in the manga where she is much more comfortable looking masculine - embarrassed about how blushy she is but not really liking makeup, enjoying more masculine clothes, that one haircut swap where she seemed really happy in laios' cut, it made me realize there's totally some room for even some transmasc falin headcanons! Or at the very least, she's definitely GNC and it would be fun to see that explored in fanfic and fanart... anyway, your in depth analysis posts have really inspired me, got me itching to create some obscure dunmeshi fancontent or analysis now!

Omg…… I’ve never fully thought about it but you’re so right transmasc Falin would go so hard… There’s also how she idolizes Laios a lot… Male older brother role model she puts on a pedestral, could play into her relationship with it. Because of the dragon I like to see her as intersex, including post-canon but beyond that I always saw her as being the more or less agender type that just goes with whatever she feels fits her better, the sort of cis by default for lack of caring about it all that much, not unlike how I consider Laios cis by default but if you dig deep enough there’s otherkin stuff going on in there… Def agree with GNC Falin.

She and Toshiro have some interesting parallels, of being passive and suppressing themselves for the convenience of others, it’s a reason why seeing her being unabashedly entranced by a bug struck him so much— himself being a bug fan and polishing his demeanor to be perfectly respectable. Because of that and including specific details like getting told "boys don’t cry" by Hien- Actually just let me link this excellent post about trans Toshiro. Transfem Toshiro is so compelling and I think pairing it with transmasc Falin would be very interesting… The gender envy of it all, the talks… Need them to go on a trip together post-canon so so bad, life changing self-discovery camping trip

in lieu of having posted any writing/headcanons/asks in the past few days because i have been *so* busy and unable to do anything fandom-related which is terrible and evil, i have a poll out of morbid curiosity and self-indulgence. i've been meaning to ramble here about how i feel about DC's lack fo Deaf representation and which Batfam members i would personally make Deaf, but i am mildly curious about the larger opinion and now i will subject you all to the question, i would love to hear thoughts/opinions/headcanons on any specific choices. (would love d/Deaf/HoH opinions esp but i'm mostly expecting this to reach the hearing crowd, so opinions from hearing ppl are ones i'm very curious about. if you've never given it thought before you are going to now or else /lh)

What made you come up with the concept of this game? Also do you have a playlist based off of Mychael?

I think I've always wanted a cryptid-like yandere for the gamejam when it all started. It was a very barebones concept about a lonely mushroom man who sets up spore traps in order to ensnare and kidnap company. It was supposed to be way creepier and invasive as a oneshot thing, and was never meant to have multiple days in the story.

I'm glad I didn't go in that direction, though. I'm having more fun fleshing out Mychael's character and I made this blog because people were asking for it! I don't think a one-shot would've been able to build the sense of mini-fandom it has going on ❤️

As for a playlist, there's one based on Mushroom Oasis here! I plan to add songs as the Days go on.

But I do have a general Mychael playlist in the works! It's a mix of cute/creepy and romantic/platonic vibes that just fit him in my opinion. I'm still trimming and fine-tuning it!
