Oddly predatory things I’ve heard from teachers that are way too normalized

-“you guys are young adults now, you are no longer children” (said to a class of 7th graders)

-“my students were hotter in the 90s”

-*hears girls talking in the hallway* “I’m going to go see if they have boyfriends”

-“I HAVE AN ATTRACTION TO YOU” (in reference to gravity, said to an 11th grade boy)

-“Yeah I follow her on Facebook. I kind of stalk her on there to be honest” (in reference to a student)

-“if I can see your chest at all ladies, you are out of dress code. And I pay attention” (said by a male AP to a class of 8th graders)

It disgusts me how normalized little things like this are in school environments, and this isn’t even all of it. Whenever it’s reported it’s treated like a joke, and even if it is, why is it okay to talk to children like this? It’s disgusting. Why is this okay?

I was thinking about whether he’d prefer to be big spoon or small spoon and then my thoughts spiraled, so this is less about spooning and more about keeping him save, allowing him to relax and restoring parts of his faith in a way or another.

I think he would honestly just enjoy the warmth and having you close.

He wouldn’t care much whether he’s the small of big spoon, he loves holding you and loves being held by you. If you want him to hold him he will gladly do it but every time you end up holding him he spills over like a full glass that keeps on getting filled more and more even though it obviously surpassed the limit long ago.

Small drops of emotions spilling over his surface until more and more waves flow through the cracks in the strong façade he keeps up daily as a competent and caring leader. He genuinely loves being held by you, feeling comfortable and safe.

He yearns for that feeling safety you give to him, being able to relax, be a little at peace.
