“What's that?” You walked into the kitchen, greeted by the sight of Nanami cutting some ingredients for dinner. But that’s not the reason why you are raising your eyebrows or are shocked first thing when you got home. No, that’s not new. He told you he cooks all the time.

“A coworker told me about this dish and I wanted to make it for dinner.” “No, not that. That.” You were talking about the headband on his hair. It was adorable.

“A headband.” He answered nonchalantly. “I don’t want my hair to fall anywhere while I am cooking.”

He quickly returns to cutting the ingredients while you are still staring at the headband that is pulling his hair back and away from his face. Top it all off with the apron he’s wearing and it’s just husband material, though he was already that before you two even started dating.

“I never thought you would need a headband, let alone saw you use one.” You said, wrapping your arms around him. To be fair, though he always had his hair combed back, you understood why he would use one in situations like cooking. You just never thought he had one.

“Well, there’s a first time for everything.” He kissed the top of your head, letting you hold him while he cooked. He didn’t really think it was a big deal. It was either a headband or a hairnet, there was a clear winner there.

“It looks good on you.” You complimented him, seeing how a few hairs escaped the headband, though they were not blocking his view. One of them was even flowing with him each time he moved, it was endearing and you couldn’t help but slide it to the side.

He hummed when he saw your hand fix his hair. “You think so?”

“Mhm. You look good in all types of ways. Cute, handsome, adorable, homey…”

“Homey? You sure that isn’t because I am cooking?” He finished cutting and dropped the ingredients into the pan on the stove.

“Maybe, but you’re still cute with the headband on.”

That puts a small smile on his face, turning to look at you and wrapping his arms around you after cleaning his hands on his apron. “Then I’ll make sure to wear them around you if you want.”

He wouldn’t mind hearing more compliments from you if all it took was wearing a headband. It warmed his heart to see you look up at the top of his head, somehow in awe at how his hair looked with it on.

“Them? So you have more than one?”

“Just a couple. I only use them at home when I am cooking or cleaning.”

“And I keep getting surprised.” You giggled, your smile returning to your face at his little fact. “Now I know what to get you on your birthday.”

He smiled at you, patting your arms as he turned back around at the stove. It might be the heat from it, but there was a slight hint of a blush on his face. But the smile was definitely not because of the stove. “Help me set up the table? It’s almost ready.”

“Of course.” You said, kissing the back of his neck and letting go of him.

As you took out the plates and cutlery, you wondered if there was a headband that could match his dotted tie. If not, you would just make it yourself. It would be worth seeing his reaction.

-This AU primarily takes place within the Kirby gameverse (with a few superficial elements borrowed from external media), the timeline starting decades before the events of KDL and eventually catching up to and following the main games’ canon (with nods to side games and some unique events added here and there for character flavor). I am trying to stay canon-compliant, but I’m also kinda making things up as I go and changing them as needed, so no promises I won’t just go completely off the rails the more I workshop things, haha.

-I'm mostly going to leave ages nebulous in this AU, but - for clarity's sake - we'll say Dedede and Meta are both the equivalent of 7-to-11 years old here, though they first met a little earlier...

-Meta Knight is just called Meta for now - he won’t earn his title until after he starts his overstars military training with the Galaxy Soldier Army (GSA) in his late teens.

-That hammer belongs to Dedede’s mama - a former pro-wrestler - and will someday be passed down to him (once he’s strong enough to actually pick it up).

-The Star Warriors/GSA inclusion in this AU is more for flavor than any major role. In this version, they are an intergalactic military group fighting various forces of evil and providing relief-aid across the universe, their reputation generally positive thanks to a genuine effort on their part to balance acts of war and defense with acts of philanthropy, community assistance, and compassion, well-known enough to reach even distant Popstar. Most known Star Warriors - Sir Arthur, Sir Dragato, Kit Cosmos, etc. - are either long since passed on or retired somewhere outside of the story (with a few exceptions we may learn about later...). Upon learning of the GSA, Meta becomes enamored with their deeds and longs to be a knight himself (not yet aware of the hardships involved in becoming one).

-The kids like to spar for fun in their free time, but on occasion they get proper training from Dedede’s papa - a retired knight with connections to the GSA who’d settled in Dream Land with his wife just before they had their only son. Meta looks up to him with the same admiration he has for the Star Warriors. Dedede, however, doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with his well-meaning but rather strict father.

-Meta is quite shy around people he doesn’t know well. In overwhelming situations, he tends to either shut down and go non-verbal or quietly slip away to recoup. That said, he is much more expressive around those he trusts, listening eagerly and chatting far more than he would otherwise.

-Dedede has an impulsive streak and likes to make wild plans that tend to put him and his buddies in precarious situations (when he can be bothered to actually follow through with them, that is). Meta is often the first to point out the flaws in his plans (if Para Dee doesn’t do it first) but inevitably ends up tagging along anyway, his wariness easily overturned by his curiosity.

-Meta is sometimes bullied by the bigger kids in the village due to his strange appearance and timid nature. Dedede is quick to step in and defend him, usually getting into scraps in the process. It will be a little while before either of them gain the respect of their peers…

April's drawings and doodles!! Get ready! 🎉🌟

At first, I was gonna draw ARG tangled in some rope, but then the rope looked like a ribbon, so I made Gangle into a monster instead. Also, I drew two of the most underated cats from Warriors ever, especially Lionheart.

(I started this first but finished it second). Drawings of certain characters cause their birthdays this month, except for Colin his birthday is at the end of March. I just forgot to draw him. I just love how Cody, Popee, and Waluigi share the same birthday, tho. 🎉

I was writing a story with these six, inspired by The New Prophecy. But I haven't written it in some time. Idk if I'll ever continue it. I don't think I'll post it anywhere, either. Probably.

The next two drawings I started a month or so ago but didn't finish until this month.

Took quite a while to finish, but I'm glad I did. Idk where this takes place yet, but it is a scene from that crossover I keep thinking about but never really writing down.

Either takes place before or after the drawing above it, I don't really remember. What I do know, tho is that I drew these drawings because idk I just felt like Adam would have interesting interactions with some other characters.

I rushed this at the end. I did not want to leave it out. I want a clean slate next month. God damn it. I love crossovers, how bout you?

Characters who die in canon that end up in the place (idk what to call it) keep being in the clothing that they died in. (Rip Ram and Kurt from Heathers: the Musical). (Spoilers warning if needed) So Adam is stuck with his robe he wore during the war with Charlie and the others from the hotel.

Also, about the 3rd drawing, like I said, it's an idea I had that, yes, takes place in the same crossover thing I think about. The colors in the background of each kiddo are involved in it, too.

The first two drawings are pretty much just some random doodles (idk what to do with the one with ARG and monster Gangle) while the other three kinda have stories to them that may or may not be written or animated on someday. (God, I hope that last sentence made sense).

Oh, and Bluey, Bingo and their cousins got to visit the Cul-De-Sac cause of a reason that's also in the multifandom/crossover I think about, I don't know if I should explain it or not. Meh.

BTW I've tried to match the original art styles of everything before, but this time, I've taken some steps forward. The hardest thing to figure out is the claynimated ones like Orel, Clay, and Claire. But I managed (for now, probably).

Edit: i went back and fixed it, I feel so much better about it now.

I even tried to have it seem like Bluey and others are slowly transitioning to the EEnE art style a bit.

Really got into Good Omens and, yes, I've finished season 2. Damn good show! So because I'm now part of this Fandom I'm back to drawing and I've done some fanart for the show.

The first two are my very first sketches of Crowley and Azi (Aziraphale). Not bad but not great either. The third image I like better and it took me a lot research to get there. I'm in love with these two. Characters and actors.

I drew this like on the same night that the Birdcage incident happened, but started to not like how certain parts of it were panning out and kinda just stopped lol. It's still technically unfinished, but I wanna show it anyway since you asked for something from canon that impacted me, and this was the first real piece of QSMP fanart I tried to draw, so it definitely had an impact at the time.

alright, it's done. i finished it.

this is the third and final part of things that happened in my first bg3 playthrough ever that I found so funny that I put them in my notes (spoilers below)

let me start this by saying I have only cried twice in the 155 hours it took me to complete this shit. however, I have almost-screamed at the characters more times than I'd like to admit. but first here's stuff that happened since the last one of these posts I made:

after killing Orin I went around Baldur's Gate for a while and did odd sidequests, including

clearing out a haunted house and sidelining to kill a stinky man in a wardrobe (and drag his body to a guy two streets over)

entirely ignored Gale's quest to look at a book because I kept getting arrested there after having killed the boss mage guy

I also foolishly though this wouldn't have any consequences. oh boy was I wrong

went to see a underwater prison, got told off by Gortash, decided to explore it after killing him, and promptly forgot to do so

killed Gortash! fuck that guy the only good thing about him is his fancy robe

tried to recruit a dragon called Ansur, found out the emperor is Balduran (????????? honestly I was shocked)

killed said dragon and felt like I was playing skyrim all over again

found a letter ("Dear Ansur") by Balduran/the Emperor. this was the first time I cried. I could still cry.

patch 6 came out! that was yesterday and I spent about 10 minutes trying out new kisses and sitting on Shadowhearts stool in camp (she now says "I'm glad you decided to join me" or something like that when you do)

went pretty much straight to the underground pool thing where the brain was supposed to be

failed abysmally to Dominate The Brain™

got pulled out by the emperor and had to start beef with Lae'zel because I had also forgotten to care about Orpheus and the hammer from the House of Hope

admittedly, I didn't really forget, I just didn't want to spend any more time with Raphael than I absolutely had to

my +14 persuasion saved the day once more and Lae'zel was fine with the one hope in her life getting his brains sucked out

went off to fight the brain once more. my game crashed twice trying to load that cutscene.

met all my allies! I forgot how many there were actually, and I only called on two of the groups later on

fought a lot. like a LOT lot.

got to the Netherbrain and kicked it's ass*

*had to reload about 3 times and try again because Minsc at level 12 was stuck on 100 hp for some reason and kept fucking dying

finally managed to kill the fucker! had Lae'zel deal the killing blow which seemed very fitting

more cutscenes, but this one actually didn't crash the game, I got to look at some beautiful unloaded walls and stuff instead

Lae'zel left right after we got to the haven. understandably so

remember how I ignored Gale's quest? well he didn't blow himself up like he inteded earlier, but he left to becOME A GOD????? I cannot fucking deal with this man

Karlach on the pier. this was the second time I cried, but unproportionally much so

Wyll left with her for Avernus, the little cutscene of them arriving there made me feel a bit better

Astarion had to leg it because of the sun (sorry)

Shadowheart didn't do much of anything during all of this, neither did Minsc, Halsin or Jaheira

decided to go help kids with Halsin, seems to fit my character (eventhough I really didn't roleplay so much)

we got an epilogue! yippie!

caught up there with everyone, except Lae'zel (who was there via the fantasy version of zoom) and Gale (who was there via the fantasy equivalent of a voicemail)

tried to hug Gale, couldn't, almost cried again but managed

also met a tressym who I recognized from fanart as Tara. I don't know why she was there, we never met her before and Gale hadn't mentioned her either

read a LOT of letters the party had received. barely kept my composure at the Gur's letter to Astarion

Withers did a cool speech and the game ended

after all of this and so much more that I didn't take notes about, I can confidentially say that Baldur's Gate 3 is the best video game I have ever played, and within it's genre my favourite ever!

I'm also emotionally devestated, especially after these final parts (but in a good way)

Fanfiction writing and posting culture has shifted so much over the last 20 years. Every time I read anything on r/fanfiction, not only do I lose brain cells, but I feel like a huge, huge part of fanfiction culture has moved toward reading only completed works and avoiding engagement at all cost, but particularly until a work is finished. There was a post yesterday by someone celebrating the fact that a fic they had on alert updated because it had "been so long" since the last update: it was a wait of one and a half months.

That isn't that long for a writer with a spouse and/or children and/or a busy career and/or someone busting ass at school and/or a life outside and off the internet.

While a lot of comments did chastise this person for their perceived idea of a long wait for an update, there were also a few comments from readers proclaiming that this was why they never read incomplete works.

Heck, there were one or two (upvoted!) comments about how writers should simply pre-write everything if they wanted feedback.

Don't get me started on the posts by people that read hundreds of fics a week and yet never comment. "Gosh, I wish I there were more fics for xyz." As if there's not something they can do about that by simply commenting on the works that do exist to show the authors the content they made has an audience!

As a fanfic writer specifically, I find this weird attitude toward the creative work of other people more than a bit discouraging (and sometimes deeply uncomfortable). Fanfiction, like fanart, is a social experience. I create a thing and then others engage with it to encourage me to do more of the thing. I am not a machine and I do not exist for your entertainment or pleasure, but the way fandom leans these days would lead you to believe authors and artists exist for the purpose of consumption.

I am a whole person and doing this costs me my time. For a long story, many many hours of time.

I don't think it's asking too much for people who took the time to read a story (and in particular those who enjoy it) to engage with it.

This doesn't even touch the weird "I only read completed fics" mindset and how it feels to see that sentiment echoed as an author.

"Just write it all in advance before posting it then." Do you even know how long it takes to write a story—to write a longform fic with a plot to completion?

Break Open the Sky was 102,000 words long (and this is short compared to a lot of longfics, so keep that in mind). Even if you assume a writing speed of 1,000 words an hour (generous, because some difficult passages will be much slower to write), that is a whopping 102 hours. That doesn't include the time I had to spend to go back and re-read to continue the story. That doesn't include outlining. That doesn't include note-taking. That doesn't including mapping out locations and distance for travel. That doesn't include editing or formatting to post, either, which took hours per chapter.

I have to sacrifice something else to be able to write. No video games, no movies, no books, no television, no nap, no goofing off online.

Comments become a big motivation, especially on a WIP. It doesn't feel like a waste of time then, to get a little less sleep or take a little less time for yourself; it gives the writer something to look forward to: interaction and socialization with fellow fans. And I don't think the cost is that high for a reader compared to the hundreds of hours it might have cost me to be able to show it to them in the first place.

But nope, r/fanfiction is really out there complaining that fics don't update (even though they didn't bother to comment) and that longfics aren't finished before they start being posted (even though they still don't comment as the story is being posted) and then complaining that there aren't enough fics for [ship]/[trope] even though they are really out there refusing to engage in fandom in a meaningful way that might encourage authors whose work they enjoy to continue to create.

TL;DR: creation costs time.

Yes. Eventually.

Ever single comment is incredibly important to me and I don't always have the spoons to respond the way I want to. Rather than rush a response, I wait until I can give it my full attention. There are times, however, when certain comments appear to go answered for months. Those are comments from people I am in touch with privately and have already thanked. I will respond to those in time as well.

The Darkest Night without question.

At this point, probably Christmas to Last a Lifetime.

The writer who did this was upset over how the first part of AiP ended because they did not read the tags or summary. They also complained about my OC being better than theirs and whined about liking Audrey more as though at 11 years old I created with Aud malicious intent to hurt them 20+ years later. 🙄

This was the person who also tried to push me out of the fandom, harassed me, and stole my work.

So, hate, no. Immature, entitled behavior, yes.

No it's not my thing to read or write. My story is canon compliant and I'm staying true to the content of the show as well. Since it's a 90s kids' sitcom, situations were only dealt with to a certain degree.

❣️Do you write crossovers?

Technically. lol The AiP trilogy is a crossover with BMW and its sequel show, Girl Meets World, but since it's in the same universe I don't count it.

I am in the works of doing a real crossover that I'm really excited about, hopefully soon.

❣️Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I debated how much to say since my socials are still being monitored but you know what, I don't care.

This person stole big chunks of my work from three of my stories and readers have noticed. That's how I became aware of it. Two readers brought it to my attention and just recently another mentioned it also.

I've dealt with it thanks to my dear friends who have had my back through this year + long ordeal.

And ngl, it was satisfying to see her panic and meltdown when the report was submitted and rush her ending. The subsequent attempts to cover her tracks have been popcorn worthy as they have been both comical and pathetic.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm too nice and give too much benefit of the doubt which is why no one outside of my friends' circle has seen the massive report on the theft and harrassment.

However, should you dear [REDACTED] try it again, I'm holding onto that report and won't be so nice the second time around. It won't be your friend who's been asking for the link since December 8th that I'll give it to either.

I avoid this personally because I know enough that I'd mess it up. And I only know Swedish which isn't really a language that figures into my work naturally.

Day to Day Norm Pt.4

Norm x F!Quaritch!Reader

A/n: I know it's short, but I'm having some problems with my own psyche and it really doesn't help that one of my favorite characters just died in my favorite TV show. So yeah I'm not gonna be updating for a while. I'm so sorry yall. 😭😭

Pt.3. Pt.5

You were eating dinner by yourself since your Dad had gone to sleep early. You didn't blame him for it, because your lessons had become longer and harder to keep up with. But by the grace of the training you received from your dad you were keeping up. You were definitely doing better than Jake though. You could tell he was still struggling to accept that he had his legs again. You were so caught up thinking you didn't see Norm sit down across from you, until he took your hand in his.

"Hey handsome, what brings ya to these parts?" You ask jokingly and he chuckles.

"Two very important things. Food and you." Norm answers and the two of you eat in silence for a bit until he clears his throat. "Would you be happy if I asked to make this official?" He asked and you smiled at him.

"Of course I would be. I like you alot Norm." You tell him and he blushes and smiles at you.

"Then can we make it official, be my girlfriend?" He asks you and you nod happily.

"Yes!" You lean across the table and kiss him and he returns the romantic gesture.

"Ugh, get a room you two." You Jake say as he comes to a stop at the table with you and Norm.

"Maybe we will once we're done eating." You say suggestively while maintaining eye contact with Norm.

"Eating what, each other's faces?" Jake jokes and you roll your eyes.

"Best meal of the day." You join his teasing.

"Well, I can personally think of something else that would be a better meal." Norm says quietly trying to keep it between the two of you. Norm had been having issues with Jake lately. It was driving you and Grace crazy, because the four of you were supposed to be a team. But instead when the four of you were in the same area Jake would try to talk to Norm, only to be met with either silence or a snarky remark. Jake busted out in laughter after he heard what Norm said.

"Norm, buddy I didn't know you had it in you." Jake said and Norm remained silent as he ate. Dinner continued in awkward silence as the three of you ate. You didn't want to take a chance on a standoff between the two men by saying the wrong thing. If you talked about training with the Omatikaya, Norm would get angry at Jake. If you talked about plans, Jake would be left out because he didn't hang out with everyone often. Once you all finished dinner the three of you made your way back to your bunks.

"Could I stay with you tonight?" Norm asks.

"Oh, you thought I was only joking earlier? You were going to stay the night with me no matter what." You say with a suggestive tone.

"Oh really? What if I want to sleep?" Norm asks you and you smile.

"I'm fine with that, but I do want to shower first." You tell him and he nods.

"I do too. I'll come back after I take one?" He suggests.

"Or... We could shower together." You offer and he smiles.

"Alright. You got an extra towel?" He asks and you nod. The two of you get into your bathroom and you start undressing. You in the shower first and start your routine. Norm joins you after a moment and you step out of the water for him, and an idea strikes you.

"You want some help?" You ask him in a sultry tone and his eyebrows raise. "I'll lather you up with body wash while you wash your hair?"

"Alright." He accepts and starts to wash his hair. You get a handful of body wash in your hand and start spreading it over his chest. He shivers when you touch him and it causes you to smirk. You work your way down his torso and to his thighs. His member is semi-hard as you pass by it to wash his thighs and calves. You had to admit he was well endowed. Maybe not huge but a decent 6 inches and honestly that's all that you needed. You both helped eachother shower and rinse and just genuinely enjoyed being together in the moment.

"Neytiri thinks that once we are close enough we might be able to get you and Grace in the village. Not gonna lie I think she's protective of me." You jest with him and he chuckles.

"She knows I'm not a warrior right?" He asks with a small almost inaudible chuckle.

"Oh she knows, but I think she feels like it's her duty to approve of my 'mate'." You tell him and put quotes around the word mate since that's their norm. You finish rinsing off and Norm shuts off the water and the two of you climb out and dry off. You put your towel back on its hook so it can dry and go out to your room to get dressed. Norm is dressed when he comes out and you take your place against the wall. He lays down infront of you and tucks his face into the nape of your neck as the two of you relax into sleep.

When morning rolls around and you get up and Norm hauls himself off to his room. He's comfortable knowing that Jake is definitely not in there still. You make your way to the cafeteria to eat breakfast with your Dad. You sit down and smile widely at him.

"So I was pleasantly surprised last night!" You say excitedly and your Dad gives you a soft smile. "Norm asked me to be his girlfriend last night and of course, I said yes." You launched yourself into a happy conversation with your Dad about your training and how excited you were about it. He once again feels that shift in his attitude toward this planet and its inhabitants. The people made you happier than he had ever seen you. Back home your mother had alienated you in your own home and you spent most of your time with his Mom. You were so smart and your moral standing was near saintly. He was so torn between continuing his mission or telling them to shove it up their ass and find the damn metal somewhere else. Your conversation was interrupted by Grace approaching the table and your face fell.

"Morning (Y/n)." Grace greeted.

"Oh shit. Am I late?" You ask her with a horrified expression.

"No. I just wanted to go over some things with you before you got in your pod." She says and you nod.

"Oh alright. Sorry Dad, duty calls." You tell him and he nods.

"I understand baby girl. Have a good day." He says and plants a kiss on the crown of your head. You walk with Grace to the link bay and she sits you down at her station in the lab. She starts showing you what she and Norm had been discovering while you and Jake were busy. You had to admit you were astounded by their discoveries. This planet never ceased to amaze you with how amazing and pure it was. Hurried footfalls approach the two of you and you turn to find Max standing there out of breath.

"Oh my gosh. Max are you okay? Did they give you a burrito with extra jalapeños again?" You ask him as you fumble to find his water bottle.

"No. I need to talk to Grace for a moment." Max says and the two walk away from you with enough distance so you can't hear what they're talking about. Grace comes back over to you and taps your foot that's on her seat.

"Go pack your duffle. We're going to site 26 again." Grace says and you smile.

"Really? Norm is gonna freak!" You say excitedly. "Wait what about training for today though?" You ask her.

"I need your help with that. I need you to link long enough to tell Neytiri that we're moving our small team to the mountains. I'll go tell Norm." Grace says and you nod.

"Alright. I'll see you in a little while." You say as you skip away from her to your pod. You get it set up and you get in. When you got up you were ushered off by Neytiri since she wanted to eat first meal with you.

"I'm happy you're finally awake. Now we can discuss the day." She says and you let out a small puff of air.

"About that. Grace is moving me, her, Norm, and Jake off the main base. I think she's getting stir crazy again and wants a bit of adventure." You joke and Neytiri frowns.

"You won't be able to train today?" She asks and you shake your head sadly.

"No. We're going up into the mountains and that alone is a couple of hour's time in the air. We've gotta pack our stuff and prepare the ship." You explain and she sighs.

"Some free time is much appreciated. We have not taken a rest day in weeks." She says and you nod.

"This is the happiest I've been in my entire life. I like being here, but my Dad is back at Hells Gate and I like to devote some of my time to him." You tell her.

"What is your father's name?" She asks as she bites into a piece of meat.

"His name is Miles Quaritch. He's a very good man at heart, but the RDA has his mind torn between his morals and his duty." You tell her and stand up. "I've got to go and prepare. I'll see you tomorrow Neytiri." She waves goodbye and you go and lower yourself into your hammock again. The moment the lid to your pod opens you're greeted by Norms smiling face.

"The mountains!" He says excitedly and you laugh as he pulls you into his arms. "C'mon let's get you packed so we can go. I can't wait to see them in person." He says excitedly and you chuckle as you allow him to drag you with him.

"Somehow I knew you'd be excited to go out there." You joked with him and he continued to smile from ear to ear.

Soon enough you and Norm had rejoined Grace in the lab with your packed clothes. You started helping pack some equipment for Grace and Norm when you saw Jake round the corner.

"Where are we going?" He asked mostly Grace.

"Gettin' outta dodge. Don't want Selfridge and Quaritch micromanaging my program." She tells him and you look up confused by what she just said. However, it also wasn't anything new. Selfridge had always believed that this program should allow easy trust between the Na'vi and the humans. But if anything it just made them distrust you more. They saw it as deceitful and you had explained that to your dad, who saw reason and stopped pressing you. Selfridge though just saw it as an excuse for any shortcomings in the avatar department. Even he didn't have a death wish enough to question you though. You and your dad might work for him, but he doesn't want to be on the receiving end of your dad's wrath. Having a pissed-off 5ft 11in tall marine with enough muscle to strangle a thanator? Not what Selfridge wants. You grab your bags and start taking stuff to the Samson. Norm and Grace linked for a moment just to put their avatars in the chopper, and soon enough your group was off. After an hour of flight, the sky became foggy and you became antsy. The first of the hallelujah mountains came into view and Norm and Jake looked on in awe. You, Trudy, and Grace chuckled at their reactions.

"You should see your faces." She says in humor and soon you land at site 26. You hop out of the Samson and smile at the small shack you'd live in for a while. You went inside and claimed a top bunk knowing Grace had trouble getting up top, and Jake had no choice but to take a bottom bunk. Meanwhile, Trudy had a bunk in a corner for the days she would stay leading up to a supply run and a couple of days after a supply run.

"(Y/n)?" You turn when you hear Grace call your name. "Did you hear anything I just said?" She asked with an amused tone and you shook your head sheepishly.

"No sorry. Just lost in thought I guess." You say and she chuckles.

"I said I'm changing it up a bit. I'm taking the top bunk over Jake." She says and throws her duffle onto the top bunk. You furrow your brows in concern.

"But your knee. Wouldn't it be difficult for you?" You ask her and she chuckles again but louder.

"You think I'm gonna be foolish enough to take the bunk below the newly appointed couple? Yeah, no." She says and walks into the link room. She taps the two closest to the end.

"These are our least glitchy pods, so they're the ones the two of you are going to use." She says to you and Jake and you nod. "Alright let's get the supplies unpacked and set up all the equipment. The two of you have to go back to training tomorrow." She says as she goes to start setting up her equipment and you head off to stock the fridge. Norm appears behind you and wraps his arms around your waist, and you lean back into his chest.

"It's so beautiful up here." He whispers to her and she smiles and nods.

"Yeah it is. I love coming up here. Honestly, if I had it my way I'd stay here. It's so peaceful and I wouldn't have to deal with Wainfleet." You say the last bit with an eye roll.

"Hey (Y/n)!" You turned toward Grace's voice since she seemed annoyed and slightly angry. "Your Dad is calling." She says and points to the screen and you sit down infront of it. You answer the call and your Dad smiles sadly when he sees you.

"Hey honey. I been thinkin' about somethin'." He says and you chortle.

"That's dangerous." You joke but he doesn't respond with full humor. "What's up?" You ask him. He looks around him nervously and you sit up straighter when you realize this is serious.

"Selfridge has been pushin' for us to take the damn tree to get to that Unobtanium deposit. I been thinkin' what if that was us and that was our home? Or what would happen if I refuse an order for the first time in my life?" He says and you look at him confused.

"What are you saying Dad?" You ask him seriously.

"What if... What if I don't want to help him tear these people's lives to pieces?"

hello everyone!! i wanted to give a huge THANK YOU for joining us in celebrating the rare pairs of Spy x Family! to everyone who submitted and to all who have read or shared or commented, thank you so so much!!! this last week and everything leading up to it has been so filled with excitement and anticipation it's hard to believe it's already over.

i'm so so proud of our little community and how many works we've received! as of typing this there are 25 total fanfic submissions (23 works on the AO3 collection (+1 including chapters for each prompt) +1 submitted on tumblr), 9 pieces of fanart, 1 gifset, and 3 headcanons for a total of 38 submissions!!! it's been an incredible turnout, please give yourselves a pat on the back!!

Band!Eren pt. 3-1 (Hometown: Lore Tour)

Part 1

💫 When you arrive in Shiganshina for the band’s hometown show, you can’t help but feel giddy. Eren’s early lyrics included references to the people, places, and things all around you—and now you get to see them for yourself.

💫 You probably could have just driven over on show day, seeing as you live only a couple of hours away. However, you’ve decided to make this a weekend trip so you have time to explore beforehand and rest afterward. After checking into your hotel, you head out with a map of the sights you want to see.

💫 You start with the large wall separating the city from the seafront, which is mentioned in a number of lyrics. As you stand on top of it, wind blowing through your hair, you feel inspired to write your own.

💫 Then, you visit the high school the band was born from. You’re sure to take a picture for your friends back home. You even take a picture with the sign out front that reads “Go Titans!”

💫 You can’t be 100% certain, as it was never confirmed by the man himself, but you’ve heard through the rumour mill that the coffee shop you’re approaching is the same one Eren used to frequent; the building where most of their first two albums were written.

💫 As you open the door to Sonny’s Beans you’re now at least 99% sure that the rumours are true. There he is, sitting at a table in the back with two familiar strangers: Armin and Mikasa, his childhood friends. You’ve seen them in the few photos from Eren’s pre-band days that fanpages circulate from time to time. Eren’s mostly hidden behind a plant but you’d recognize those hands anywhere.

💫 His “stalker” comment from a few weeks ago rings in your ears, so you do your best to act like he’s not there. Celebrities deserve privacy too, and the other patrons seem to be on the same page. No one bothers them and you don’t either.

💫 You order your drink and sit at the window bar with your notebook, scribbling down the words your earlier sightseeing inspired. They’re not much yet but the cozy atmosphere of the coffee shop fills you with the energy to sculpt and refine them. It’s easy to understand why Eren spent so much time here.

💫 By the time you finish your drink, you’ve got a verse and hook. You pack up to leave, but before you can make it too far out the door you hear that smooth, deep voice call your name.

💫 Armin and Mikasa study you closely as Eren closes the distance. He wasn’t expecting to run into you before the show, especially when he’d just been talking about you to his friends. Not that he lets you know that. This is strictly professional, after all.

💫 You’re a bit embarrassed to be caught on your band lore tour and he teases you about it. It’s a bad idea, but he offers to treat you to dinner that night in exchange for your promise to never confirm the location. He made a deal with the owners years ago to try and preserve the quiet and stable lifestyle they preferred.

💫 You may or may not feel like you’re going to explode from his invitation but you’re determined not to show it. You accept and joke that you’ll even make a post to throw off the trail if he throws in dessert. Eren grins and suggests one a few streets over that ‘really deserves more hype’.

💫 Armin and Mikasa exchange a glance just as Eren says he’ll message you the details within the next couple of hours. You watch them disappear around the corner, Eren waving his friends off as they pester him. Then it hits you.

💫 Eren Jaeger—the man you’ve spent way too much time and money idolizing over the last couple of years—wants to spend his time and money on you tonight.

Fun fact: one of the local high schools in my hometown called their sports teams the “Titans”! I once cosplayed Mikasa in their practice gear c:

@deermessrs CELIA, you sent me this ask SIX MONTHS AGO, but I never forgot it and wanted to go back and finish the answer I'd half-written back then... if you still care to read it, here it is!! 😅

Favorite Thing About Them: I just love this boy who (albeit imperfectly) used his privilege for good - to give to others the love he was so freely given, to defend those more vulnerable than him, to actually risk his life to fight for the people he loved. And yes he saw the world in black and white, yes he had a savior complex, yes he was full of himself. But he's just. He's the kid in elementary school who makes handmade valentine's for the whole class, who is SO friendly to and defensive of the nerdy kid that he doesn’t realize he's actually embarrassing them. He is literally reckless with his own heart. And I just wanna hug him about it.

Least Favorite Thing About Them: Not to be a total simp, but I don't know that there's anything I don't like about him...

Favorite Line: In DH, when Harry asks, "will you stay with me?" And he says, "Until the very end." (I may or may not have the words tattooed on my body.)

BROTP: Sirius Black, his canonical soulmate, imo. The two of them are the definition of "you complete me" and "I found my other half." They love each other so much I think that even when it isn't romantic it is still bigger than any romantic love either of them have. It's obviously close to how deeply James loves Lily, but I think there is a tether between James and Sirius that neither of them have with anyone else.

OTP: Lily Evans, if that wasn't obvious xD They're just…I've shipped them since I was 12, before I knew what shipping was, yknow? They created my bby boy. Even though I ship both of them with other people in different contexts, I never see them ending up with anyone but each other.

NOTP: Snape. Who I only ship with a lifetime of cleaning out toilets.

Random Headcanon: He grew up with Marlene McKinnon. It was her brothers who taught him how to fly. They were each other's first kiss when they were like, 6, even though they never really liked each other that way. It was one of those things where you know each other as children but somehow it doesn't translate when you get older and find other friends - until they were in like 6th year and the war started feeling really real and it brought everyone closer. When he found out she and her whole family were killed, he went to a very dark place.

Unpopular Opinion: Er… I don't know if I have an unpopular opinion on him? It also depends on the part of fandom I'm talking to, lmao. The one thing I can think of is one I know some people share: that James wasn't that bent about The Prank. I think he was frustrated, but I don't think it put a rift between him and Sirius in any way.
