...He picked me up.

Just a minute ago, it was a fight: loud screams, screeching of metal upon metal, dead people, scents of sweat and blood flooding the ground underneath my boots. Now, it's just me and him; he is so huge, a death battle below is nothing but an amusing bunch of shouting tiniest punching each other for no reason.

Many years ago, he left to serve a kingdom opposing mine. I knew him... Very well. But we have changed. He isn't my old friend any more as well as I'm not an immature student of Royal academy.

I don't know who ordered him to come here. I have no idea how he found me in that mess. But there is no doubt why I'm on his palm now. My fate is clear: he is a giant, and I'm a human. I'm significantly weaker; my sword is a toy which won't do him any harm. As if I intended to... Anyway, I throw the blade away - then look back in his blue eyes gazing at me softly, almost like they did before his deception.

No words are said. Feeling tears swelling at the corners of my eyes, I hold away sobs, but continue to stare right in his face, showing that I don't fear what's coming next. He moves his thumb and rubs my wet cheek as if trying to reassure me. I don't protest. It's... comforting to be remembered. To be reminded that our bond still costs something.

Afterwards, he lifts me closer to his mouth, opens it slightly - and gently puts me inside, shutting his jaws behind my feet, leaving me in compete darkness. His tongue springs beneath me, saliva pools in immediately, soaking my clothes and hair as I lie limp, allowing my devourer to do anything he pleases with me.

I cry silently. I have already accepted my end.

At my surprise, he doesn't savour me for long. He is exceptionally careful with my vulnerable body; perhaps, it's because he tastes blood running from a wound in my shoulder. Merciful, as always... I'm grateful for him taking me from hell down below; at least, there will be no nasty smells and yelling soldiers when I die.

His lips part one last time - I see a glimpse of sky and the sun flickering gloriously at my smeared face. I look at it, peace settling in my chest.

Goodbye...

I tap the muscle, announcing that I'm ready.

And he listens - I feel as gravity gradually shifts beneath me. I slide into the pharynx - he swallows loudly, forever separating me from the outside world. Just a little quivering lump travelling down his powerful throat and disappearing without a trace in his broad chest as if I have never existed.

I slowly sink further, further into dark, soothing warmth. I hear his heart beating beside me, his huge lungs filtrating air as he inhales and exhales - signs of a great life all around my minuscule frame. Something I will be a part of very soon as a ship becomes a part of the ocean which claimed it.

The esophagus contracts, squeezing a pained whimper out of me - I'm pushed in a spacious chamber which greets me with an audible growl.

I don't know if I should feel anything as I tuck myself into the velvet folds. Acids make my skin itch a little, but it doesn't take long for the sensation to turn into pleasant numbness. It's pitch black, hot, humid. And soft. My lids lower against my will; exhaustion and blood loss are determined to knock me out. I know - if I fall asleep, I won't wake up. But it's OK. I'm tired. He is with me. His belly gurgles softly, digestion process ready to rage on; his hand wonders around his abdomen - I feel it touching my back, then it presses harder at me and doesn't ever go away.

Only he will ever know what happened to me. I'm not even visible out there - and though it should be terrifying, I'm happy that no one will come to save me.

He won't leave me alone again...

I smile. Then, allow my eyes finally close and succumb at the mercy of his stomach....

- Hey.

I blink, lifting on my elbow. The room is enormous; every item or piece of furniture is at least fifteen times bigger than me. Meanwhile, my bed is just the right size for a tiny. In fact, it is a cute fruit basket full of cushions. I want to pull away a heavy piece of fabric given me instead of a normal blanked - but hiss and give up on this plan immediately, blind and deaf from pain: the cut on my shoulder burns, convulsing, as if it was on fire.

Only once I catch my breath and the fog covering my vision clears a little, I notice familiar forget-me-not eyes twinkling kindly from above.

- Ugh... W-what happened?

The giant smiles.

- Your injury needs good treatment. I saw you on the buttle field and decided to take care of your crazy head before someone else did. It appears I was just in time.

I huff, falling back at the pillow dramatically.

- Very funny. Actually, I thought you was about to make me your food.

He raises a brow, then frowns - it looks like I have offended him.

- One more word - and I'm eating you for real.

I giggle. Next few minutes pass in silence as I watch him preparing a tiny bondage for my wounded arm. His large fingers move so accurately - it seems impossible, considering how big he is. When he finally turns to me, I let him wrap his work around the stinging area. Healing extract bites sensitive flesh aka crocodile, but I don't pay attention to it, smirking softly at my friend's focused expression as he tends me gingerly.

- That's why I love you. - I murmur.

He says nothing. Just smirks back - and gives me a kiss in the forehead.

TWST X Obey Me!

Just an idea for a crossover that I have in my head.

An important factor for the AU is that MC sees the brothers as family and vice versa, as if they were older brothers.

Yuu (mayor of Ramshackle) = MC from Obey Me!

The AU would take place after graduation, where Yuu dates a boy from TWST and they start living together (since Yuu doesn't have much to go to).

Let's say that Yuu can't use magic anymore because of Michael's ring, maybe TWST increased the magic containment effect, or just decided not to use it because he doesn't know how strong his magic is, or even wanted Grim not to lose his place in the NRC (since he is the magical part of both of them) and after graduation Yuu got out of the habit of using it.

Well, somehow Yuu, Grim and her boyfriend get in touch with the queen of the rose kingdom.

Why her? Well, in one of the events of Obey Me! (Like a dame) Diavolo says he is friends with the Queen Rose and the event has roses for everywhere.

We imagine that the brothers haven't had much contact with Yuu since he went to NRC, maybe little letters sent by Sam's friends on the other side (in this AU they are mini-Ds, probably from greed).

However, in Obey Me! the Queen of the Rose Kingdom goes to Devilton and doesn't seem to have any trouble going from one world to another, she can help Yuu do the same.

So when the Queen of the Rose Kingdom meets Yuu, maybe at a ball or festival she attends and the two exchange contacts.

Now think about it, the boy from TWST who is dating Yuu decides to take things to the next level and asks her to marry him.

Yuu already knows the boy's family, they live together and maybe even work at the same job.

Not to mention that Grim acts like a real child, even though he graduated from college.

Yuu obviously accepts and asks if he would like to meet her family first.

The TWST boy knows that Yuu came from another universe, so it might be a shock.

Even more so when he finds out that Yuu is a long-time friend of the Queen of the Rose Kingdom.

And even more so when he finds out that his family is made up of the 7 deadly sins.

I guess it's best not to tell him about his position as a royal advisor, right?

Or that Yuu is an apprentice to the world's first wizard Solomon.

And that he's capable of using magic.

Yuu literally hopes he doesn't freak out.

Now, there are some TWST characters that I think could date Yuu and would make the story funnier:

1.Rollo Frame (it's self-explanatory)

First, if you get Idia to propose to you, congratulations.

You definitely talked a lot about your older brother Levi to him, so he was expecting a bit of chaos when he met your family.

But what he didn't expect was that when he crossed the portal into the Rose Kingdom, he would end up inside the gate to Tartarus!!

He doesn't know whether to focus on collecting data for STXY or get ready to meet his family.

Wait, if you lived here before studying at NRC, and this is the land of the dead… don't tell him that you…

Please, calm this poor guy down!

The best option is to never mention that you died and came back to life in a moment (lesson 16). Just say that you came for an exchange project with the Human Kingdom and discovered that you had relatives here.

Which is the honest truth.

Finding out that you are the royal advisor of Devilton and one of the most powerful people in the place scares him a little too much.

Either the people here are too weak, or you are stronger than he imagines! He discovers that you are some kind of Ultimate Final Boss around here!!

And your family is capable of destroying an entire country in a matter of minutes, how did he get into this situation? He just wants to go back to his room and exile himself from all this craziness.

Upon arriving in the city, the two of you are stopped by countless people who welcome you and complain about the city.

I mean, he knows you can't go back home, but he figured that when he found a way, he'd come back without thinking twice.

He definitely wishes your clothes had a hood like they used to when you explain to your family that you decided to live with Jamil no matter what.

He would definitely be shocked if he found out that you could take an immortality potion, but decided not to take it to be with him.

When the two of you are alone:

Jamil: You could have a better life than being a servant.

Yuu: It wouldn't be better if you weren't in it.

Yuu: I don't care what I have to do, we're together, understand? I'll never let you feel alone again, that's a promise!!

Jamil doesn't know what he'll say to his parents when they ask about his family or when his sister tells him to tell them every detail of the trip.

But he knows he's with someone who will always put him first and won't let someone like that go.

A promise, huh?smiles slightly I think I can get used to this!

I imagine Ruggie will react the same way when you called Malleus Tsuntaro in front of everyone when you two get to the house of regrets.

I mean? You live in a gigantic mansion and inside it looks like each tile costs more than all the money he's ever earned in his life!!

Ruggie is very careful not to bump into or break anything, only for one of his brothers to enter the house and accidentally destroy a wall.

Wait, he came riding a dragon?

Okay, Ruggie thought there was no way a group of people could cause more trouble than you and that group of freshmen, but your brothers managed to prove the opposite.

I don't even know what he would say when he saw Beel's appetite or when he tried Solomon's food when his brothers said they would throw it away.

During dinner:

Yuu: I should let you know that I will be officially leaving my duties in Devilton

Asmo: Huh? Are you leaving for good now?

Yuu: No, I just don't think I will be able to coordinate my work in Devilton with the wedding organization, not to mention that there is no way to convert Grim to Taumarks.

Lucifer: In that case I will talk to Lord Diavolo

Ruggie: What was your job here? - he says while eating a buffalo egg.

Levi: They worked as royal advisors, (tch these guys really don't know how to use a mage in battle) - he answers while playing an online video game.

Ruggie: Huh?

Ruggie may not have expected so many surprises like these, but he can't deny how happy he was when you and your brothers started thinking of ways to make him, you and the entire community you live in prosper.

You really are full of surprises, huh Prefect? Shi shi shi!!

Okay, I got a little carried away, but now it won't be running around in my head so much.

Somebody put the theory out and I cannot find it, but my brain gnawed on it like a splintered bone.  

Basically, the theory is that in Cinderella II, the fairy godmother got turned into stone and that a similar spell was put on the Great 7.  

Here’s what my brain added: That both versions of the story is true. The version that we grew up with and the version that Twisted Wonderland has. Cause let’s be honest, some of these villains barely have 20 minutes in their films, it is how it appears to the princess/protagonist. What Wonderland has is the perspective and intent from the great 7. There are details we have, there are details wonderland has, and places where they mingle, but the victor gets to decide the story, and in this world, the victor was the Great 7.  

But let’s say it’s true, and that the great 7 have been stuck in stone for 1,000 years, because that’s the magic number in films. What would they have learned from their own stories and the world around them after being able to do nothing but think on their actions and motivations?  

I think that many of the lessons that their counterparts are learning are the ones that they struggled to accept and ultimately led their downfalls. However, through watching others and being able to reflect, they have reached acceptance and peace a thousand years later.  

For example, Leona struggled with his self worth and motivation due to never being appreciated and constantly compared to his brother, along with other factors. Nothing was ever good enough and ultimately feels that he has no adult figures that he can trust. Scar struggled with his intelligence and ambitions constantly being undermined, and it turned to resentment and hatred, the same way Leona’s overblot did.  

I think after a thousand years, he would realize that, much like Leona, he blamed the wrong person.  Mufasa upheld the system that kept him down, but it was the system that was the problem. Simba was punished for profiting off of it, when Scar had the opportunity to teach him the true Circle of Life and how to care for all creatures, including the scavengers, and change the kingdom the way he envisioned it. It was about appreciating and finding the balance within it all, ruling with genuine fairness and interest. Ironically, he lost his intelligence and allowed his resentment to overpower his ambition, leading to him doing the exact same thing he started all this for. Throwing the Hyenas under the bus in order to make himself look better.  

 I don’t have time to go through each one yet, but I just think of something along those lines. What led to the overblots is what led to the Great 7’s movie deaths, perhaps even their own overblots. With no cure for overblots, they were turned to stone, in order to ensure that they couldn’t hurt themselves or anyone else, but stories get told, centuries pass, and the spell was completely forgotten.  

Until Yuu arrives.

Backstory

One of the lost royal children and the heir to the grand duchess when their aunt ran away with them and their cousin Flori. Living in a cottage in complete isolation from the world for 14 years believing that she was their mother and Flori was their twin.

The two learn many skills but Rolene was mainly interested in the arts with many paintings on the walls of the cottage. Even with all these activities Rolene grew curious about the world growing restless. At first Mother said no telling the two about the dangers of the world. Flori was able to convince her to take them into the forest making Rolene very excited whenever they go out.

At 14 when Mother went out for errands Rolene and Flori snuck out to get some flowers from a field they found last time. When they returned they found the site of their home being searched by guards. The two ran away hoping to find their mother but after searching for hours they fell asleep by a lake later to be found by the grand duke their father.

Adjusting to the new environment was difficult especially with all these new expectations. You must not do this or that was hard for Rolene’s more care free self. They will start to see the difference in treatment between them and Flori by the staff making them refuse lessons and staff staying by their sibling side. Even when learning that Flori wasn’t actually their twin it didn’t change anything.

After a while their mother sat Rolene and Flori down to tell them about what happened around their birth and why Flori’s mother ran away with them. When pregnant the duchess started to fall ill and everyone was looking for a way to heal her and save Rolene. When many medics couldn’t find anything that’s when their grandfather took Flori’s mother life work that still hadn’t been perfected and gave it to her lucky it succeed and she started to get better and Rolene was born healthy. This led to Flori’s mother getting obsessed with the health of Rolene constantly checking up on them it wasn’t as bad since Flori’s father was there to calm her but after his death everything took a turn for the worse. Their grandfather has been pressing for a marriage even after the death of her fiancé leading to her breaking point and disappeared with both children as she was watching both at the time.

I have so many so I'll go over some of my favs!

My all time favorite is Julian. I've had him for like seven years now and he's always the one that I've gone back to. He has a special place in my heart. He's a thrill seeker and reckless, often getting himself into trouble. But he cares immensely for his family and that is his main motivation. He's part of my winged cast and he has black wings.

Another one of my favorites is Blaze, Julian's older brother. They're technically half-brothers, they share the same mother, but they just refer to each other as brothers. He's the leader of what is essential one of the in-universe crime syndicates, Dawn. He also cares for his family immensely, but it's direct contrast to how Julian does. He has gold/tawny wings.

The other major players for that plot line are: Lucien and Raymond (Julian's uncle and father respectively), Braith and Alden (a prominent member of the government and his younger brother), and Ashlyn and Claire (the two daughters of a nobleman in the government).

Siblings happen to be a major theme for this plot line if you can't tell lol

I don't have a lot for their plot line since I'm going through a major overhaul with it right now (the drawbacks of having a plot you made when you were 16 lol).

there's an essay jumbled up in my brain about dunmeshi's beginning and how clever and deceptive it is as a sleight-of-hand trick that distracts the audience from the depth and scope of the worldbuilding and foreshadowing that's being set up the entire time by dangling zany characters and wacky dishes and biology fun facts in front of us, and how that serves to catch invested viewers off guard when those elements come to the forefront, but also how it works against it with other viewers wanting "more" and not seeing it because the plot bait isn't laid out up front

how people getting frustrated with the characters "not taking things seriously" is mirrored and refuted in the confrontation between Laios and Shuro. how the characters' attitudes aren't just a result of shallow low-stakes "comedy rules" where nothing matters, but are an extension of their personalities (Laios's nonstandard expression of emotions being offputting even to people he knows) and the world and social environment (adventurers being desensitized to death and injury because resurrection magic is commonplace). the way the party refers to "saving Falin" instead of "retrieving Falin's corpse," indicating that they still see her with full personhood, and how that phrasing leads to some readers/viewers believing that Falin is alive in the dragon's stomach, conscious of being slowly digested while the party carelessly fucks around "wasting time." how the weird tonal dissonance makes sense in-universe and yet is deliberately challenged more and more the deeper the party goes

all the character building and pieces of lore slowly weaving together the shape of the larger world, laying the groundwork for the major themes that will surface later. so much is right there in the "low-stakes" early episodes if you know what you're looking for (or pass the perception checks).

it can be so satisfying to see new viewers/readers pick up on the clues even in the earliest "simple" episodes, or notice new things and make connections yourself....and it can also be frustrating to see people dismiss oddities and dissonance as shallow or bad writing because they don't expect a "cooking anime" to have depth like that. why try to question and understand and peel back the layers when you don't expect there to be any layers?
