Jac in general does not seem like the type of person to apologize. It hurts his pride and ego, and really in his eyes everything he does is "all in good fun", or as a means to entertain... himself, mostly

What, is he supposed to apologize because his little joke made someone upset? That's his thought process, I think. Like unless there are huge consequences or he is actively trying to better himself I really don't think he would give a sincere apology, you know?

Like imma be so real here, I know I usually portray jax as a prankster but so far he's worse than that. He has pushed gangle at least twice (in the pilot, and in her tailer), he stepped on her mask and knowing him I wouldnt be surprised if it was on purpose. He just. Ripped zoobles arm off (like yeah sure it doesnt look like it hurts and it can be reattached, but its the idea that he just disrespects them like that), throwing a bowling ball at kinger, ect ect ect

Like I think I down play how mean jax can be

I think a lot of this is caused by the digital world; given that hes probably gotten way too comfortable with the fact you cant get severely injured in the digital world or hahe any long lasting physical damage, you know?

Anyways onto the actual request

I think it's less likely to happen if this is a romantic relationship because I think at that point in time you guys respect each other enough to not be goofy and communicate stuff. As well as this, this prompts jax to try to tone it down.. can also see this happening if you guys are close friends

So really this can only happen if you guys are only like. Normal level friends, because otherwise jax at least learns remorse and tries to be less. Uehdjcf.. you know?

Like I love jax as a character and I enjoy writing him but I'm realizing just how assholish he is based on the pilot

Honestly to be friends with jax you're going to have to be able to have some kind of tolerance to his more tame everyday stuff... imma be nice and assuming the stuff he does above isnt in his usual league of asshole-ness... or maybe it is? I dunno

But some prank he pulls goes too far, and he laughs at you. Probably takes to down play it if you're actually upset, trying to dismiss it as a good ol fashion joke

If he gives an apology it's a half assed one

This leads to you not talking to him as much anymore, if at all

In fact, you may even go as far as to avoiding him during IHAs

And you know what

At first he thinks you're just being sour over his little practical joke

But overtime as you continue to bold your ground he starts to... actually feel bad

And if he does ever sincerely apologize, its likely two late

That's also assuming you dont abstract before then

God can you imagine that, I mean what's worse? Never being able to apologize because the person is effectively dead, or apologizing and not being forgiven?

I think this would push jax to try to tone down his antics

Like he wont totally stop, but it will definitely go back to the light hearted fun I like to headcannon it being when he first joined the circus.. before it got all.. meaner..

Boredom does terrible things to someone and given that the consequences of losing your mind in this place are huge.. I can't help but understand jax a little, assuming my headcannon is correct

Though again he might just be an asshole

"The full moon is beautiful isnt it? " You said, reading a book, and looking at the moon. It wasnt a full moon yet, but you knew it was right around the corner.

"No, it sucks,its ugly and has scar like spots" Remus spat, receiving the attention of James, who you two were with, sitting at their own dorm.

"What? It's beautiful, really, I mean, look at the moon, and the spots, honestly if the moon was just gray and smooth I don't think it'll be pretty without the so called 'imperfections' I think it's pretty because of it! "

Remus raises his head, and sat on his bed silently, if only you knew what he has to endure every month.

The Painfulness, the humiliation when he walked through the halls and met Severus after the full moon.

But either way you said it in such, beautiful poetic way, in a way that Remus has only felt, because of you.

Even though he has alot of support, he has never felt something like that before, but what's worse is that you didn't know about his little problem.

But he wants to keep it this way, for you to see him as an equal, for you to not be scared of what beast he holds, every month.

Because, you are very dear to him. Not in a way were lily or Marlene or Mary is very dear to him, but it's in a very different way.

Sure they were nice but, you were different. You supported him through everything even though you knew nothing.

Remus is afraid that he'll hurt you, in any way, he is scared. He is scared that he'll be rude to you, or scream to you, or even worse : physically hurting you.

"It's okay to have feelings, moony, admit it" James said, after you left. "I don't want feelings like this, you know that, I'll hurt her, but she's everything to me and I can't bring myself to hate or leave her alone! " Remus said, in a grumpy, tired voice.

"I think she likes you, you know, I could see it, I just can" James reassured. "Thanks for trying to make me feel better, prongs, but honestly I don't even know anymore, I just want to keep y/n away"

"Don't say that! " James's voice trembled through the thick walls of hogwarts, as you stood in front of their door.

You gasped, half of you wanted to leave, but, you decided to stay.

"I just, need to brush her off you know I need some..getaway from her" Remus said. "Remus, y/n is not some parasite or a tick.. She..! "

Before James could finish the sentence, you left.

You didn't cry, you felt betrayed, and empty, and sad. You knew you felt something for Remus, but for him to just say something like that was unbelievable to you.

All those years Remus understood you the most. His words made you pick yourself up, and be who you are today.

But never in a million years would you expect Remus to say that.

You can't tell lily, nor literally anyone, you just have to keep it together.

The next day, Remus could tell that your behavior changed alot. You didn't say good morning, or hi, or anything. You sat next to Sirius instead of him.

"Remus, Remus! Are you alright? " Peter said, his face full of concern. "Yes, I'm alright Peter" He said.

Then somethings happened, suddenly you didn't talk to him for one day, then that changed and it turned to two days, then, three, then four, then a week.

Remus was never this pissed and grumpy until now. "Shut up! " Remus said, in the dorm, making the three boy's face drop.

"Remus, you should take your wolfsbane, it's close" Sirius suggested. "I don't care about that right now, you being so closey close with her"

"Who? Y/n? " Sirius asked, his eyes opened. "Yes, you daft! Can't you see that I like her! Right, you probably can't but you can see the fact that she's avoiding me, everyone in this room knows that, and if you don't then leave"

"Easy, Remus, easy, we know you like her, but, we also know that she's avoiding you, but we don't know why" James frowned. "James, do me a favor and ask lily about it"

"She won't tell me, ask lily yourself" James sighed.

And there he was, walking to the library to meet lily. "I wanted to talk about y/n" Remus said. "Well you've gotta be quick cause were both supposed to be here like, in fifteen minutes" Lily said, pointing at the chair for Remus to sit in.

"Why is she avoiding me? " Remus asked to the point. "She.. I can't answer this and be loyal to her, but, I'm going to give you a small hint. She has liked this boy.. For a few years now and, she's just not feeling well right now, and she's super sensitive right now, and just don't be rude to her, okay? " Lily sighed.

Remus's stomach dropped. A boy? Who?. "Who is it? " He asked. "I can't Remus, she's not even open about it, the only person who knows is me"

"But I thought she trusted me.. " Remus frowned. "She does, Remus, but it is girl problems, so, girls tend to tell other girls about it. "

"She hates me doesn't she?, but I love her" Remus's insecure side kicked in, just as the same time as yours.

She? Who? . You mood was even worse now, leaving the library without even telling lily.

You went to your dorm immediately, and you bawled your eyes to your pillow.

When you woke up, you felt sore, and you could sense someone looking at you. "Are you alright, you look like a mess, what's wrong"

"You know who it's about, but I can't keep thinking about him, just, hey, come on its Sunday, we can't be sad on a happy Sunday" You changed the topic, which lily caught on to.

Your eyes were red and puffy, and your hair weren't neat.

"Y/n, seriously what's wrong? " Remus asked you immediately after you got to the great Hall. His friends were sitting at the table, and, lily walked away to give you space.

"I need to talk to you" He said, not giving you time to speak up. You walked to a nearby storage room. "Colloportus! " Remus whispered at the door.

"You've been a mess, and you won't talk to me" Remus said. "So you're saying that if I don't talk to you that means I'm a mess? " You debated, but, you knew damn well that you are a mess if you don't talk to him.

"If you don't want to talk to me than fine, but you need to talk to someone else cause you don't look well nor you look healthy, and secondly.. This is s hard question but, who is the lucky guy? " Remus sped up. "The lucky guy? Who? "

"If youre willing to describe the girl you were talking about to lily, fine, ill tell you" You said confidently.

"You heard? Which part? " Remus tensed up. "About a girl that hates you, and the fact that you love her"

"Okay, I'm going to describe her, but I won't say her name. Shes pretty, she's nice, she loves to help people, she's dreamy, but she needs help"

"Oh.. Alright then, Remus" You said quickly, before you whispered "alohomora" To the door.

That night Remus were frowning at all times. "And she said? " Peter asked.

"She said 'Oh.. Alright then, remus' then she just, left" He said unbelievably. "Didn't you say something about you saying that you'll describe who you like and she will say the guy that she likes name" Sirius gasped.

Slowly, the two other marauders mouth dropped. "What? ", " It's you, you daft, she said Remus! " James smiled.

"I can't afford that James, no, plus she doesn't actually like me" Remus frowned. "Dumbass she does, and what do you mean you can't afford that? " Sirius asked

"I haven't told her about the whole.. Thing, so, I just don't want to be anything more then friends with her"

"You do want it, but you think you can't" Peter mumbled. "That's not true, you can" James said.

"I can't, just, I can't, I'll hurt her, I know it" Remus shouted. "You won't know till you try" Sirius said.

"I won't know till it's too late, so I wouldn't even bother to try" Remus scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Well, boys.. It's time already, come on" They all stood up, listening to James. The full moon was one hour away.

But little did they know, you were outside of the dorm, chilling while sitting beside a tree.

You saw movements of the whomping whillow, but it suddenly stopped. You saw a mouse going in, and a dog, then a deer like, well you can't tell what it was, and Remus.

You decided to follow him, you wanted to be sorry, but you'd be nuts to go into there, but you did anyway.

The place was rusty, and old, it was full of dust. You looked into the cracks, and all you felt was horror. Suddenly, you didn't see Remus, you saw something peculiar, and it saw you.

The dog barked, as the creature tries to scratch you and bite you. The dog barked, and the deer seemed to be telling you to come with it, you don't even know how you understood.

You panicked as you saw and open wound on your legs. "Holy shit! " Your mind started to raise. Is that a gazzele or a stag? I think it's a gazzele. Why does that dog reminds me of Sirius?

The next thing you see is the blinding light of the hospital wing. "What is that awful smell, James, hi Sirius, hi Peter" You yawned.

"She's awake! She's awake! " Peter gasped. "Quick, drink this! " James immediately shoved the glass of disgustingly flavored liquid, which your face scrunched up to.

"How did you find me? I was following a.. A.. A gazzele or some kind, and there was something I.. Don't know, I was following Remus, I wanted to talk to him, ouch! " You gasped. You felt a sting on your legs, consider the big wound.

"Shit! " Remus groaned. "Remus!" You sat up, which you received a few 'no!' 's to. "Are you alright? Oh my god, good Lord you're hurt again" You frowned.

"See shit like this has never happened before! " Remus spat out. "We'll leave.. " James said, taking the boys away.

"You can't just follow people, y/n that's not right! " Remus said, turning to look at you, looking worse than you are.

"I wanted to say sorry for being an asshole! " You said. "You're lucky James were there, you could've died! "

"James weren't there, Remus! " You said, not remember any other person other than Remus himself.

"Can't you see y/n, don't you get it? I'm a werewolf, I hurt you, and I obviously don't want that! " Remus shouted.

"So, who cares if you were a werewolf, Remus? Gosh, is this why you and your friends are always away every full moon? "

"Yes, y/n, just stop," Remus said. "A simple sorry wouldve solved it you know? " You said, but Remus didn't exactly understand.

"It's suddenly my fault now? " Remus scoffed, "Remus that's not what I meant! Why are you such an asshole Remus! I thought you know me! But after all these years I was so patient! You'd say rude things but I'd still cry to you, but what's worse is I cry about you and I'm doing it right now so, after this don't talk to me, please! I didn't blame this on you! I knew it was my fault for following you but I didn't know nor did you so just,let's just forget it,alright? Just, forget about us" You cried, willing the tears away, laying back on the bed.

You wanted to leave, but, neither of you could.

Remus heart broke everytime he heard your little sniffles. Remus knew how you cried, and he also knows that you are holding it in.

Days passed after that day in the hospital wing. You didn't say a word to him, nor did you tell anyone about it.

"Why would he say that? " Lily gasped, in the library, after making sure no one was there. "I don't know, lily, but I feel really bad for him, what if he's not okay? " You said, in a concerned tone.

"Y/n, it's time for you to actually take care of yourself" Lily suggested. "That'll be nice" You sighed.

"I heard from lils that.. Well she isn't doing the worst, but she's still.. Healing" James said, receiving protests from Peter and Sirius, "James why would you say that", " Prongs, Remus, I swear she's fine"

"No she's not, I wanna meet her, she's barely around nowadays" Remus said, still being in denial.

"Remus, if you do want to try then listen to me" James said, taking a deep breath, before continuing. "If you do love the girl, you can't scream at her, yes your feelings are valid, but for six years she has been holding her anger and sadness because of the words you say to her, you pointed out the things that she's insecure of, but then you decide to be nice to her? She's confused Remus, and it doesn't take a long time for her to realize that she could just find someone else so please take care of her! " James rambled.

"I am going to take care of her, James, now where would she be? " Remus asked, standing up. "Library".

Remus walked slowly to the library, as he saw you alone, packing your books in your bag.

"Remus, you're not supposed to be walking too fast" You said worriedly, flinching to help him, but you hold your self from helping him.

"Tell me what you want, alright? " You asked him.

"I love you"

"what? "

"I love you"

"No.. "

"I love you"

"Remus that's not fair" You kept yourself together. "Do you feel the same? " Remus asked. "Remus you can't ask that to me"

"Have you ever loved me" Remus asked. "I do love you"

"So why can't we be something? " Remus frowned. "We can't I'm sorry, I love you but we can't, I'm scared Remus, but I don't want you to feel like I'm scared of you, I'm scared of us! What If things goes wrong and we won't even be friends! That'll destroy me! " Your eyes was waterry and glassy.

"We won't go wrong, y/n, not anymore" Remus awkwardly hugged you, but he finally got comfortable.

"Remus we've got a lot to talk about" You sighed. "But before that, I'm not trying to make things go too fast, but, do you want to be my girlfriend, i-i swear I wont-"

Your lips clashed to his, your body felt relaxed and so was his, as if it took all the tension away.

When You both pulled away, Remus awkwardly said "thankyou?"

"I love you, Remus"

alright, you already know that he's a mad scientist, but as i've said before, he's morally gray, which means a lot of things don't deter him of completing/doing experiments.

which is why the lil 'oopsie daysie' happened with machine, and that's why there are alternates at the manor.

sans and papyrus, at the least, are pissed about it. but this discovery makes gaster's nerdy big boy brain hyperfixate on anything relating to the topic of alternative universes (humans in this universe dont have much research about it other than the occasional movie that makes you think, and the theories.)

and if i go further into this id spoil some of the plot (which i already did enough of) sooo, lets think of some hypothetical scenarios and headcannons!

id say that reader (you) would get into the lab a lot. and while you can be a great lab assistant, lets be honest, you touch too much shi 💀💀

gaster would have this thing where he'd put you in he corner for 5 minutes before letting you interact with the work again.

when i think of gaster's experiments, not only do i think of vials of dangerous liquids, but i also think of a SHIT ton of notes just neatly organized into notebooks on a metal shelf

a lot of the pages are more about ramblings and tiny details rather than general info

so if you try to read it, please get some context dear.

i know most ppl have the headcannon that sans gets his sleepy eepies from his dad, but he completely developed that on his own

gaster has a schedule set to where he sleeps for 8 hours, and only has 3 hours of free time.

which means if you see the other 13 hours blocked on his schedule he will not acknowledge you unless you are helping him progress

Going back to his interests, i think his favorite part about science are the details that most people miss that just really bring the whole theory together into a fact.

bro prolly has some national scientist awards and threw that shi straight into the trash.

its not that he isnt proud of his achievements actually, not at all.

he just doesn't need someone else, better yet a human to tell him so

so he tries to ignore the public despite their incessant please for his presence ✨

Since gaster actually exists, he is still labeled as the royal scientist, despite not being apart of a monarchy anymore, and does favors for the king when the curiosity allows it.

I want him to be a grandfather figure, who rambles on about success in life, who is also emotionally repressed, who also takes many risks that a man his age shouldn't.

his ideas and experiments are very "out of the box" per say. Like, if you told him you cant see souls at all (which is most likely gonna happen) dudes gonna strap you down and ignore your cries of pain as he extracts the your soul from your chest. poking and prodding at it to compare it to a monster soul.

i mean, he has the real thing now! no need to rely in outdated textbooks and theories right? why not test it for himself? and if you resent him for the rest of your life for it, he would tell you how lucky you are to still be alive and that he got what he wanted without losing a "potential specimen".

which makes you wonder what other lives has gaster been liable for??...oh well!

And noowwww back to the reader!

since reader is now gonna be a big part of his life- he'll allow certain things to slide. as you live more and more with him and the gang, he'll call you assistant or human and not by your real name.

i dont think gaster would spend much time around you during his scheduled hours (he kicks you out half the time)

but during his free time, and since you're human, he is very curious.

he asks about you, what it's like being a human female, what makes your skin darker than other humans, and why'd you conjoin your hair-

just lots of general questions about your appearance and how humans literally dont use INTENT at all.

and yes, INTENT, DETERMINATION, ATK, LOVE, and much more terms from undertale will be used in this fic. so i suggest getting into the fandom vocab a bit when you can-

but to put it simply, INTENT is like another way of language for monsters. it's pretty much what it says, but to break it down: intent is something that you do with purpose.

personally, i headcannon intent to be more intune with emotions and how the user feels and/or wants to feel in the moment. for example "aggressive and murderous intent" or "caring, sweet, and loving intent." and INTENT carries magic within it, hence why monsters are so in tune with internal emotions while humans aren't. and that's why monsters re more in danger with humans than any other creature, because humans used unknowing intent that could kill a monster in one hit.

Surprisingly enough he doesn't like to spend his breaks at home in his bed.

instead, he goes out to muffet's for a very specific coffee order, and a spider muffin.

half of the time he'll make you pay with your own money, crippling your pockets.

other times he'll roll his eyes when you "forget" to bring your wallet and get you only a drink off the menu.

if you catch him as he's leaving out for a break, gaster may sometimes not go to muffet's at all and find a park to watch kids trip at.

or maybe a grass field during golden hour.

im not gonna say that gaster hates kids, but it's moreso that fact that they...are underdeveloped, and therefore harder to understand in his eyes.

as ive said before, this guys ignores his feelings, so he gets uncomfortable when people show theirs.

so when you cry, or get angry in situations that dont seem as big to him as it does to you, he lowkey cringes a bit.

but since.. *sigh* you're now his pupil, as well as someone who takes his work more seriously than others (DESPITE YOUR TENDENCY TO TOUCH SHIT)

he has to take of you now! and *gags* comfort you

bro cant comfort for shit (which is one of the reasons why they dont have plants at their house)

so when you hug him with your snotty face... and your...wet tears, he shivers aggressively but tries to keep still

yea he doesn't hug back at all, its bad enough he has to watch you!

In this au, the reader is canon to the universe. not isekaid, not transported, no. she lives there and the code is accurate. so any and all timelines will include her.

and timelines are gonna be a "what if", or maybe a chapter for angst. idk yet. And in this fic, imma make the choice for flowey not to remember resets. but only due to his will (cool right?).

frisk isn't really gonna be included much into the plot, only when it calls for it.

oh shit- back to gaster

not sure if i said this before, but warming up to gaster even the littlest bit is like reading a 100 chapter slowburn.

it's gonna take a long time, hell, maybe a year or so, for him and reader to start actually building a granddaughter/grandpa relationship. so while youre still getting to know him, it's like he's avoiding you, (but you clearly don't read his schedule enough sooooo)

and when you guys finally get to that point, you guys are like buddies. he'll ramble to you about certain topics, while you sit and listen.

you'd watch movies with him as he overanalyzes characters and plots, only to fuck it up and end up with something different, claiming "he could write a better one".

gaster loves helping you study

even if it's for a 5 question quiz, he'll help you out as much as he can!

plus, id be a shame if the ✨Smartest Man On the Surface ™✨ let his little human fail!

nuh uh, not happening!!!

he's very proud of you everytime you get an assignment back with an A with lots of praise from the teachers.

he'll even try to get you in a routine (which rarely works often, as easy as it seems)

gaster chuckles every time you make him a homemade snack, or lunch meal, it warms his little heart ❤️

Other times he can't stand your attitude

Why cant you control yourself in situations that aren't bigger than you make it seem?

it racks his big brain so much, that he bans you from the lab for 3 days when stuff like that happens.

he really hates it when someone has a tone with him, it grinds against some part of his brain the makes his more "violent" and intrusive thoughts.

its not noticable at first, at least not to him, but after the 1st hour he begins thinking

"humans have skeletons right?"

"what would skin all in a pile look like?"

"what would happen if he gripped, squeezed and strangled a soul made of pure determination?"

of course, he already knows that answer to those. and if you dont, just ask frisk.

im sure they remember very well.

but after the intrusive thoughts go away, he's just left seething in anger.

i feel like gaster (,similar to donnie from rise) has a hard time understanding other people, because he's been alone for most of his life.

and that makes him jealous of you.

but in the end, you'll always be gaster's little assistant ❤️

Edit: I just reinstalled tumblr again lol and holy crap its been a good minute and I'm sorry I didnt get to this any sooner, you can beat me up for it lol :<) But, I do have a couple of headcannons for the CC character along with some OCS too! :3 (one being a self insert lmao💀💀💀)

To start off:

* Pirate Percy has PTSD and extreme paranoia. The PTSD being cause by his father's death and Red Mary betraying the previous crew he was in. (I'm sticking more connonicly with this one since it kinda makes the most sense lol) and his paranoia being due to the Red Mary incident since everyone (besides talapio, she's a dope magic spider lady :3) were either killed or were never seen again after the incident and he also doesn't really trust people because if this.

* Janice also has a little PTSD due to her abuse by her sister, Melrose as well as her mother's death.

i have the urge to clean up everything in my entire room making it spotless and clean and then passing out cold onto the floor still wearing my school clothes. I then jumped up, in a sudden shock. Someone knocked on my door. I then realised that the lock on my door handle was broken, making the person who knocked my door, easily get in. The only two opinions I could think of in this moment was to hide, or to open the window and break the fly-net, running away from this person. The door opened wide, I was shaking. No, it must be just a coincidence... I thought to myself. It can't be... The person then went and looked under the bed. I held my breath. That's not a person... I thought. Half of ITS face was gone, it was pitch black like space. The only thing you could see from it's dark side was a wide smile, reaching from the end of the dark side of the face to where the strands of hair covered it. Sit tight, I’m about to rant-

so when you talk to Caesar in the fort and ask about Vulpes, Caesar goes on this tangent ab how when Vulpes broke rank on a mission to capture a Cheiftan of some irrelevant tribe, his Centurion wanted him crucified for ‘disobedience’, but Caesar decided to promote Vulpes to Frumentarii instead bc he saw potential in him. (The part above is the only part of my hc that is confirmed in canon other than the stats I mention later!!)

And the first thought that went through my head when this conversation happened was “yeah, but was the Centurion allowed to go through with it before Vulpes was saved...? Like when did Caesar find out about this?? Did this furry legit get crucified??”

And now it’s my official HC that Vulpes was on a cross at one point bc the story got to Caesar after he’d been put up there.

Crucifixion usually consists of the hands being either nailed through to the wood at the palms or wrists, or the wrists being tied to the wood. Same goes for the ankles. So I HC that he either has nerve damage from having literal holes put through his hands/legs, and/or circulation problems from being tied tight enough for a long enough time to permanently screw up circulation (it’s kinda hard to keep a body on a cross and even if he was tied, he’d have to be tied tight , having circulation cut off for long enough causes nerve damage as well) So the nerve damage would mostly affect his hands and feet

If literally-just-a-mailman can get shot twice In the dome at point blank range with a 9mm and survive, Dog-Head, a seasoned (at the time) decanus of the legion can survive the cross- these are my fucked up legion HCs and I get to choose what’s possible /lh

Also in this hc this would be part of the reason his SPECIAL stats are so weirdly spread and unspecialized despite being a high ranking member of the Legion. 5s across the board with a 4 in Endurance...? I mean 34 SPECIAL overall isnt anything to scoff at per say but he’s that basic-? After all that training?? And one of his tag skills is s c i e n c e? He’s the weakest important Legion officer, coming in at one SPECIAL stat below Lucius and 18 points below Lanius. (Lucius only having a 6 in strength and a base stat total of 35 can be boiled down to his age, since his age has been mentioned in the game but this is a discussion for another day)

Kinda sketch considering the rank he’s achieved (the stats I’ve mentioned are canon as well! ). Meanwhile his literary foil, Lanius, is (correct me if I’m wrong) literally the strongest human NPC in the vanilla game, with a SPECIAL stat total of 52 AND all his extra buffs) But- if he was dealing with chronic issues like nerve damage and/or circulation problems and therefore couldn’t focus mainly on fighting and physical improvement anymore, *DEEP WHEEZE BC IM RANTING* a permanent stat nerf like this with no specialization would make a lot more sense, as would his promotion to “eyes and ears of the legion” status rather than simply being saved and put into another combat-heavy position, like being promoted to veteran decanus or centurion.

As far as his interpretation of events is concerned, I believe he’d only view it as unfair after he’d been saved,

like he knew when he did it that his centurion would want him dead but he did it for the “betterment of the legion” or some crap, so he was willing to die for it until he got saved. Then he was like “wait, I almost died for making the best possible choice and for bettering the legion? what a dick that centurion was”. He wouldn’t count it against the legion and its ideals as a whole bc he’s drank enough of the legion koolaid to disregard his own life if it meant the betterment of his faction, also bc Caesar himself saved him so that just cemented his loyalty all the more

EDIT: I think I should emphasize the fact that he got promoted from Decanus, a physically demanding, battle heavy role, to Frumentarii, a role for espionage and playing ambassador. And this was after leading a battle strategy, not after forging an alliance or laying groundwork for some sort of spy operations

Vulpes does almost none of his own dirty work physically. The whole function of his occupation changed which just adds to my belief that the reason this happened rather than him just being promoted to Centurion was because he physically couldn’t battle that heavily anymore.

I could talk literally all day about Vulpes’ character and the legion and the different avenues they could’ve been taken down had he been a companion but maybe, just maybe I should stop hyperfixating on villainous war criminal furries and their stupid, historically inaccurate, fascist factions-

- this is fun bc adbandonment issues and a tendency to cling to people he meets that show him kindness and convincing himself that maybe if he's very good and nice people will let him stay longer and maybe like him

- maybe they wont leave him

- he's bounced around place to place with no sence of permanence

- from school to school

- (by school i mean like, boarding schools with houses and prefects. Like ww1 type pay for schools. Corporal punishment and all the shit like that)

- Tim made friends with the expectation that he would lose them in a few months

- got shit grades because he has really bad ADHD and isnt medicated at all and doesn't have things like extra time or teachers giving him notes

- he's trying but gave up at a certain point because he cannot focus well and his auditory processing is very bad and he cannot listen to lectures because he misses every 4th word and can't focus during tests

- Tim as an elementary school student was;;;; very fidgety ADHD wandering around.

- a problem child

- eventully he's like 16 and in a maybe a bit more permanent position

- he and Bertie become fast friends

- Tim is... Very very very clingy

- he's never had a friend he viewed as any sort of permanent and Bertie is so good and he's very much pouring everything he can into keeping Bertie his friend and making Bertie like him

•David is one of the younger two, he was about five or so when he was orphaned. Since then he lived out alone, he would much rather then live in a crowed home with a million other children and barely half a chance. He met Marko at this age and the two quickly stuck to each other, what one couldn’t do the other could manage. Marko was the better pickpocket but David was better at places to sleep, eat etc.

•Marko was unsure of parents, he doesn’t remember much of it past real swanky people and being their Doll then left alone. He has a very deep hatred for fancy things.

•Marko greatly owes David one for helping him out, he sorta does what he says because of this. He hasn’t steered him wrong yet and he’s still alive isnt he? (Wrong choice of words.)

•two years later was Paul, tall kid with skill. He was fun not to mention that he quickly latched on with the pair. Then was Dwayne , he didn’t speak much on his background but joined in for mutral benefit. However all of them in a group from a young age made them close. Extremely close.

As they get over , pick pocketing becomes less of a forgivable crime if you can’t excuse it with a cute red cheeked starving child face. Odd jobs and scams came in.

-David still prefers to swindle, he’s a good talker can probably talk someone out of a few bucks with a “I’ll pay you later.”

-Marko has swift hands he prefers pockets while David’s busy.

-Paul is not half bad at card games and uh entertainment.

-Dwayne is a good fighter, people place bets.

Max , after the whole ordeal took in the now vamp group of boys and basically offered his help. Money, food all of it without much strings past just wanting to lend a hand. The simple fact of the matter is he’s a lonely sort of guy so it worked out. He earned their respect and trust which, granted is not a completely easy matter when they only trust each other.

ok so nearly everyone in the fandom is doing this and as sad as it is that we need to remind these simple things to people, I feel the need to talk about this too.

I won't make this too painfully long because I know y'all most likely already know this and I just wanna put out a basic list of shit you should always follow in the fandom. But for those who don't, a lot of fan content creators, be it artists or writers or just general fans trying to enjoy their time, have been leaving/quitting the fandom.

Why are they leaving, you ask? Toxicity. Toxicity nearly everywhere. People can't hold respectful debates or discourses on interesting topics regarding characters/the books/ships anymore without someone toxicly stating that only their opinion is correct, and going off on anyone who has different opinions carried with a lot of aggressive, rude and shallow behaviour. Fanartists have gotten death threats and are scared of drawing art for the Riordanverse without getting anxious af.

Now the thing is, having done those (eXcepT for the death threats) doesn't automatically make u an entirely shitty person. Maybe you made a mistake and came off as rude without rlly meaning to. That's okay. Here's how to identify if u ever did so, and to change that behaviour. Again, it's okay to make mistakes, but we rn as a fandom srsly need to try to turn things around.

Some basic shit you should remember being a part of the fandom:

• NO NSFW STUFF WITH MINORS!!! That means fanarts, fanfics etc. But here's the shocking thing- when someone does this, you can actually hold them accountable WITHOUT SENDING DEATH THREATS AND CROSSING THE BOUNDARIES! • That being said, ppl are allowed to write nsfw stuff IF said characters are aged up, aka 18+. Ofc, it's a must that they put a content warning beforehand because many people may not want to read that. BUT, if you don't want to read it and if they've aged up the characters so nothing's morally wrong or gross, then please do NOT hate the author in the comments, do NOT report their post/account. Seriously dude, they gave warnings, if you don't want to read it just scroll past it's not that hard. Unless it's with minors, you shouldn't be reporting innocent ppl's accounts like that.

• one thing that I've seen a lack of in the fandom are trigger warnings. I've seen several fics whose covers are literally of blood. And entire chapters were written with intricate graphic descriptions yet with no trigger warnings or a tw wayyy down in the caption. you never know what may be triggering to someone if a lot of ppl see ur content but the least u can do is put trigger warnings on the most common stuff. I get that it may look aesthetically matching if it's a murder mystery sorta fic but isn't the well being of people more important?

• look I'm not saying you're not allowed to have opinions, but the problem is when you start treating your opinions like facts. I can't count the times I've seen someone state their opinion like it's facts and then trash on other's for having a different opinion. PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS. Stop attacking people for liking Jason more than Percy or vice versa, there's no rule that you absolutely have to like one or the other, ppl can like who they want. When you're stating UR opinion, it would be nice if you used stuff like "I personally think that..." or "... that's just my opinion" because again, Ur opinion is just that, not a fact.

• if you can't have discourses or discussions about certain topics respectfully and nicely then don't have them. if someone's done nothing wrong but state their opinions and you don't like it, don't go attacking them. if you don't have anything good to say, shut up and just scroll past. it's not that hard. we don't need any more negativity in the fandom. If you feel like you're about to snap, mute or block the account you don't like and move on with life. But for the love of GOD don't go out of your way to be agresive or hateful to ppl. They have feelings too and run fan accounts for fun, not to get upset and hurt.

• when a fan account owner has made a post saying what they think of a certain topic, and you comment saying you think they're wrong and they reply that you didn't get the point of their post, then chances are you most probably actually did not understand what they were saying. when this happens, pls don't go on forcing ur opinion onto them as if you got what they meant when you didn't. Maybe next time when someone says you didn't get what they were saying, ask them nicely to explain it to you instead of going off like that?

• firstly, shame on you if you've ever run a hate account. just why? how much more negativity do you want to add? if you come across a hate account please please report it and block it and tell your friends to do the same. if you're targeted in a hate post, I'm so sorry, please know that they're shallow ppl just trying to make you feel shitty, you're dont have a trashy fan account; what they say is false and done purely to spite. report and block them.

• I know Rick has written a lot of racist bullcrap and hasn't batted an eye when we complained about them, but that still doesn't give you the right to send him death threats. Again, no death threats to anyone, yikes.

• don't use fanart that's racist. don't repost them either. Piper has feathers in it? don't repost it. also if you can't exactly and properly credit artists, don't repost their art saying "credits to the artist". I've done that before too but now I understand that's not right.

• also, while we're at it, can we all please universally agree on non-racist fanon stuff and get rid of racist canon stuff? like Piper and feathers, and piper & hazel with colourful and golden eyes, Piper's stupid not like other girls behaviour, and all the other bullshit Rick has put into the books. We as a fandom don't accept it and pretend they do not exist, no racism in this place 🥰‼️

• ppl are allowed to have their own headcannons, it doesn't matter what's cannon. Don't go "but in the books it's.." because in the books there's a lot of shit, and besides, if someone wants to headcannon Percy as brown? black? totally alright! they're allowed to do so! don't go bUt pErCy iSnT pOc iN tHe bOoKs. same goes with sexualities and etc headcannons. as long as they're not erasing the already representation of a minority, it's okay to have headcannons of your own. Like Hazel is canonically black and we should respect that and bring out the best of that, yk what I mean?

That's all I have to say for now. I'm usually a very light-hearted cursed meme account on here but things are getting out of hand. I was wanting to make my 8 yr old brother get into the Riordanverse fandom but seeing the situation of the fandom rn scares me. We need to think about the kids in the future who'll be in this fandom, whose lives will be changed and shaped by these books. Surely, the older people in the fandom before us would be utterly disappointed at what it's become and it's our job to constantly look out for the fandom.

I need a drabble where Axel's trying to leave ( you know, his angst problem ) and the reader cry while holding him back. In the end they made up, happy ending yayyy :)))

Ok so I looked through my previous asks and I think I know where this is gonna go. Ya know shit gets serious when you do research on your own writing and headcannons.

Lately you and Axel have been having arguments. You guys have gone past the 'honeymoon phase' (despite not being married) and disputes have started happening. Nothing a couple shouldent be able to handle, except Axel isnt good with this sort of thing. The arguments have started a crack in your relationship with eachother and it could either tear you apart or bring you closer together.

Lately, Axel has been showing signs of wanting to leave your life. Not because he doesnt like you anymore, no. But he has to face the facts. He has enemys that would do just about anything to hurt him, so the more time he spends with you the more danger he puts you in. Not to mention the arguments. He just doesnt know how to deal with them, and lately hes been thinking they may not be solvable. How can you two move past them? Axels self doubt gets so strong he starts thinking it of a sign you werent meant to be together.

He loves you so much it hurts. Just the thought of someone placing a target on your back, not to mention what will happen if they get you. Or even the idea that he might hurt you himself through the arguments. Its come to the point where he's decided you will be hurt less without him in your life, and he decided to leave it. He loves you enough to let you go, and that's just what he plans on doing.

You had fallen asleep on the couch holding his hand one day, and woken up without his presence. You knew he was showing signs of leaving, but you never expected it to happen now. You asked him to be with you when you woke up, hoping it would show him how much you want him in your life. But when Axel is no where in sight when you open your eyes, you stand up quickly and rush to the front door - just in time to make eye contact with him as he makes his way out the door with his stuff.

"Stop!" Speaking the word in his native language gets him to freeze in his tracks, allowing you to march towards him with determination. When you get close however, he starts retreating again.

"Axel, please dont do this!" You beg, grabbing onto his coat.

"My love, I'll only cause you pain by staying" He rebuts.

"Your causing me pain by leaving!" You quickly wrap your arms around him from behind, halting his movements. “I dont care what happens, all i need is you. We can work through this! I know talking isnt your forte but we can figgure something out, we can-” 

“Love, Stop” He drops his bag with a thud. “It hurts me too-

“Then dont leave!” You protest, cutting him off as his body seemingly goes limp while still standing up. "P-please..." You croak out, tears starting to fall. "You're the best thing to - to happen to me and-" Your not the only one crying, as soon a tear lands on your ha ds wrapped around his front.

"Are you sure?" He asks, reaching a hand around to pull you into a proper hug.

"Of cource I am, love" you respond, shoving your head into his chest.

"Then..." marry me? He wants to ask so desperately, but it's too soon. You two need to grow past your arguments first. "I'll stay" And that's exactly what he'll do. "For you"

Can I have HCs of Nozel, Fuego, Asta, and Yuno having a technically noble s/o, but there a bastard. But they have 3 dragons, which is rare in their family and unlike the other nobles, they're compassionate to everyone, including the poor and soft-spoken, but strong and very intelligent. (Bonus: Nozel and Fuego being betrothed to s/o despite them being a bastard but its due to their dragons. The dragons are very protective and difficult for others to control. It takes time to earn their trust).

Hui, that sounds like a pretty cool power :D 

Imma try to write some Headcannons worthy of such a character ;)

Nozel

I guess he would be okay with having an fiancee he doesnt know, cause that seem kinda standard in the noble realm. I guess, what he really would have an issue with, is the fact that hey are a bastard.

He’d be like, excuse me? No? Eldest son of a royal family and you marry me off to trash? 

He’d be really obviously annoyed at first during your meetings. Like, he realy doesnt wanna do this, so he will be rude, cold and ignorant. But in the end your power and intelligence will draw him in.

He wont be able to understand why you are so protective of the poor and weak, because that shoud be beneath you, but he will stop addressing it after a while. And well, who knows, maybe he will even get your point of view after a few years. 

Your compassionate nature really makes him feel safe around you, like he can trust you to understand him a but when he confides you in the things he has done in the past. 

He’d still be sometimes hung up over your status as a bastard, but in the end mostly when others try to invalidate your abilities by arguing that you are a shameful existence. That really riles him up, because you being a bastard is of no importance when you are such an asset to the kingdom, nobilty and him. Like, bastard isnt your status anymore, you are the future Lady Silva, so they better go bite their tongues.

Nozel and the dragons, well, that was a bit difficult. Like, on one hand, he really admired their form and avian side, but they once tried to eat his favourite eagle so that was bad. 

The dragons are protective of you, so they seriously didnt like Nozels behaviour in the beginning. So they probably tried to set him on fire. That kind of deepened Nozel’s dislike for them. 

Nozel started to like them, though, as he started to like you. He was glad that they were always with you to protect you, and he started to respect them for that. The dragons probably started to agree with him more an more after he came to love you and care for you. After the first time he defended you from being badmouthed by other nobles, the dragons came to fully acceot and respect him. 

Fuegoleon

Unlike Nozel, he wasnt quite as accepting with the fact that he was betrothed to someone without his knowledge, but he didnt care that you were a bastard. The Vermillions dont really judge a person on the status they are born ith but rather by their personality and spirit. 

It was clear for Fuego after seeing you for the first time, that he really liked you. Not only were you strong, but also kindhearted and intelligent. He really admires your atittude, which is so similar to his, but softer, kinder. It is a nice contrast to his sometimes very passionately loud and rash ways.

Eventhough you guys are basically one step away from marriage, Fuego would rather take things slowly and start at the beginning, like taking you out on dates, courting you and you two just getting to know eachother. 

In the end he really loves you and would marry you in an instant, but he wants you to feel the same way, definitely. 

He, like Nozel, would defend you noble jerks, and I am sure that his siblings would, too, unlike Nebra and solid. 

Fuego and the dragons would probably quickly get along nicely. He would probably trying to prove his worth to them by challenging them to a fight, showing off his strenght, talent, intelligence and all. These 4 would probably easily bond over the will to go to all kind of lenghts just to protect you. Also Leon probably hit at least one on the head, and you just gotta admire an idiot so passionate about his lady that he just fistfights a dragon and tells it, that his performance is lacking.

Asta

Well, given that Asta doesnt give a damn about his S/Os status at all, he wont care about them being Noble or a bastard. 

He just likes you for you, your kindness and awesomeness. He loves spending time with you, because its always fun and you two just get eachother regarding his thoughts on how he wants to change clover, how everyone should be equal an so on.

As for the dragons, I am sure they were indetermined, cause well, Asta is somewhat an idiot and they werent sure if he was really worthy of you, but his pure heart and good intention together woth his strong will convinced them to like him.

Also I am sure he tried to take the Fuegoleon approach of challenging them to a fight, but in the end he was so awestruck, because damn, dragons, just so cool. he’d be all starry eyed and admiring their scales, swords long forgotten.

Yuno

Yeah, Yuno would be attracted to your compassionate heart, intelligence and power, too. He would be pleasantly surprised to find out you were a noble, but only because most nobles he had met had way different opinions on the poor and weak. That would be the only time he would actively think about your status, tho. He is Yuno, he is basically too cool for rules and social norms.

He would love showing you off to the people that matter to him, so Asta and the people from the church. He thinks you are the perfect person to bring home, and he has a hunch that you would love his family, too. 

His cool disposition probably irritated the dragons at first, because they weren’t sure how much he really cared about you, but having thm watch his behaviour towards you and him defending and caring for you in his own way would lead to a slow development of repect from their side. 

Yuno would be cool with the dragons, not minding them much. He would probably see them as something to you as Bell is to him.

As for bell…well, i am not sure if she and the dragons will ever get along, mostly because she is pretty jealous of you and tried to attack you the same way she deals with Charmy, and the dragons sure didnt like that. One tried to eat her, which obviously didnt work, but the damage was done.
