To those in your circles, you were - well, you were still all those things. But you were also known to be considerate, knowledgeable, and highly creative. Out of all the members, it was often the two of you who were able to most consistently produce innovative solutions to problems that came up.

The love between the two of you already proved itself once - and Luciel couldn't wait to see what would come next in your shared story.

What with your humor and Seven's memeing, there is never a dull moment in the RFA chat. Even after Luciel tones it down later on, you two will always be a source of lively energy, especially when you're both together. You're able to bounce off one another's quips almost instantly, like it's second nature. You're also both very intelligent and knowledgeable. Yoosung will always come to you first, though, for help with subjects you know well; it's up to you whether you decide to help him, or do a little trolling.

Seven is delighted to find someone with as many varied interests as him; he will always take you up on an offer to join you in an activity you enjoy. He may be good at it, or he may absolutely suck at it - but he'll always give it a try and have fun with the process! Like the robo-cat, his gifts have dual purposes beyond just appearance, though sometimes while on a date, he'll sneak something simple home, like a flower you stared at for too long (yes, plucked straight from the neighbor's garden as is, he's a menace like that) or a keychain from your favorite anime. Enjoy these gifts - they are all given sincerely and with love!

When you give him a drawing for the first time, Seven is just... floored. What did he do to deserve something so precious and intimate? It will be his most treasured item, even long after you've settled into life together. He will take in every little detail, every sketched line or color, and his heart will never fail to skip a little faster than normal. This is, after all, the fruit of conscious effort and labor by you made with him in mind. It's proof that you think about him. It's proof you care. That's more than enough for him, yet you choose to share even more - and my, how it makes him realize how impossibly lucky he is.

It was love at first sight for Seven. The moment he saw you on that camera, he was gone. Your fashion, your looks, the way you carry yourself... He wasn't lying about the 2.35 seconds - he couldn't look away. And of course, over the time you spent on the messenger app and in person, he only fell deeper for you as he got to know your personality and soul. how do you recommend coming up with a tumblr url?

First off, I strongly advise against fandom-based names unless the creator is dead and their work is something you've felt strongly attached to for the last twenty years, because fandoms change, creators turn out to be asshats, and it's a pain to have to change your URL because your hyperfixation passed or because associating with a fandom makes everyone think you're Schrodinger's bigot. (Shoutout to poor @luny0 💜) And of course it's also very confusing for your followers when you change names!

Second, be aware people will likely nickname you based on your URL — even if your internet name is in your bio like mine — and you can't predict exactly how they'll do it. @pilferingapples has an excellent username but didn't anticipate that it would be universally shortened to "Pilf." It took me forever to realize that @shitpostingfromthebarricade was called Barri, not as in a fem version of 'Barry' like Bari Weiss, but as in "Barricade." My friend @fleetingeternities (rest in peace🕊️) had a lovely name but also went by Flee, for short. So... think about that the same way you'd think about what your baby's initials would spell.

Third, I suggest thinking about how clear the starts and ends of each word in your username are. If a word later n the username starts with a vowel, will it get erroneously linked to the previous letter, or vice versa? It took me years to realize that @nurselofwyr 's username was Nurse Lofwyr and not Nursel of Wyr. Did I know what Nursel meant? No, but people have some pretty bizarre fandom and fantasy names on this hellsite. Users will go on trying to string letters together unless there's a hard stop, so if you want a username where the words might run together unhelpfully, consider hyphenating.

Just a little snippet of an idea, enough to give a vibe or a mental image, is great. Something whimsical, evocative, or downright silly. These things are easiest to achieve by pairing two words that can be imagined together but wouldn't normally go together or wouldn't go together in that grammatical format, e.g. starfishwhisper/ambient-color/marchbloom/goose-destroyer, genderflexing/hamsterwheeling/meme-foraging, frequentlykneecapped/rarelymarried/veryverily, etc. Or stack a few together, e.g. bigbadbandwidth, stabby-old-tabby, godawfulgayghost. Bonus if you get some alliteration or slant rhyme going.

Snapping a few out-of-context words from a quote is solid too: live-in-infamy, delenda-est, among-mad-people, rarely-make-history. They're not word for word quotes, so it's easier for them to morph into a collection of sounds that represent a person. I do know a lot of people have usernames that are full lines of poetry or song lyrics, but my personal opinion is that these tend to flow best as usernames when they're cut off before they get to full sentences. It's always a bit odd to address someone by a name with a pronoun inside it; that's how you get "ME SAW WHO!"

Unless you are on Tumblr for professional reasons, do not use your legal or professional name!

Obviously you always have the option to go with a fake proper noun, fantasy-name style — "larkacyn" or "devossa," or I dunno, "altseven" or "priov" if you're feeling more scifi — but I feel like if you had one of those you wanted to use, you wouldn't have sent this ask.

And of course...all the truly top tier usernames are puns. If you're really committed to getting a fandom name, bury it in a pun, like @owlmylove or like my ao3 username.

episode that you love?

im only on season four but i've got a couple of faves so far:

1x21 'three stories': it's practically law that i have to include this. absolute classic of an episode. i love the format, i love the backstory we get, and i especially love the med students!! they were fun and i hope they come back at some point. probably not but im still holding out hope. teacher!house was great to see too, and the deep-dive into his backstory is so delightfully painful and heart-wrenching,,, oughgh

2x07 'hunting': very fun episode!! "what, because you're a closet case?" absolutely killed me the first time i watched it. get their asses lmao. also we get to see steve mcqueen (my beloved <3) and cameron on meth - fun times!

2x15 'clueless' and 2x16 'safe': mainly for the hilson roommates subplot tbf, but the cases were interesting too! these eps also had a lot of funny moments, like wilson sawing through house's cane and the whole tick debacle lmao

3x02 'cane & able': where do i start with this one. first of all the awful cgi hallucinations were fucking hilarious, i was so fucking confused tho. like the whole time i was just going helllo???? aliens????? great stuff. the rest case itself was really fun too!! and this is the one where we get the infamous "i was worried that your wings would melt" speech. oughghgh top tier content right there.

3x04 'lines in the sand': controversial take right here. this is the infamous autism episode. the way they handled it was. well. it was 2006. so. the case itself was interesting too, but the main highlight for me is the autistic house moments <3 and look. i KNOW wilson says house doesn't actually have autism. but MASKING EXISTS, WILSON!! you can pry this headcanon out of my cold dead hands. i support autism rights but i also support autism wrongs or however the meme goes. more people should get to be autistic and jerks i think <3 (saying all this as a guy who most likely has autism btw. i havent got an official diagnosis but uhhhh yeah it's Likely.)

3x07 'son of coma guy': hilson road trip! plus coma guy ig. but mainly hilson road trip :) i love them.

4x02 'the right stuff': i love love love the whole gameshow-esque thing house starts. we get to see some great characters (amber! kutner! dobson my beloved!!!!), and it's just all round a bit of fun. love it.

4x05 'mirror mirror': another fun one!! the mirror syndrome guy gives us a lot of fun insights into the applicant's personalities, i thought that was a really fun way of showing it rather than have a million expositions about each of them lol. also the banter was fun this episode, especially between house, wilson and cuddy. also we find out that wilson is more dominant than house and that kutner's a masochist. great fuel for fic writers. fun!

4x12 'don't ever change': ohohhoo i love this one. the case was alright but the best bit abt it imo was the house, wilson and amber dynamic. i love this trio so fucking much you don't understand,,, i honestly think we should've got poly wilson/amber/house. just think abt it... house and amber friendly rivalry... teaming up to bully wilson... and also amber and wilson bullying house together... would it be a little dysfunctional? yes. but that's to be expected in this show lmao. idk why this turned into a pitch for these three i just love them very very much <3

4x13 'no more mr. nice guy': again for the wilson/amber/house dynamic. this one is very fun i love their custody dispute over wilson, and the dog analogy was very funny to me. and cuddy making house and amber do coma patient duty lmao. AND bisexual thirteen!! love her <3

i haven't actually gotten to the last couple episodes of s4 yet because uhhhh Bad Things Happen and i am delaying the inevitable. send help. but i am sure they are very good and will probably make this list once i get around to watching them!

honourable mentions include 2x13 'skin deep' (purely for the scene where house is in the mri machine and wilson pretends to be god lol), 3x22 'resignation' (for the wilson on amphetamines scene. "i'm not on antidepressants, i'm on speeeeeeeed!" gets me every fucking time) and 4x01 'alone' (house and wilson prank war!!!)

soooo yeah those are my favourites :) and i'm sure there'll be a lot more once i finish the rest of the show but like i said i am Procrastinating lmao

I've been infected with brainworms. the only way out is to pass them on. Here we go:

Sebastian - ASMR channel. He mostly does 'unreality' content about being a demon in various situations. Incredibly popular.

Ciel - absolutely brutal product reviews. Mostly toys and games, but he'll tear apart basically anything. The Gordon Ramsey of product reviewers.

Tanaka - not a youtuber himself, but a fan favorite whenever he shows up in Ciel's vids/livestreams.

Mey Rin - Firearms demonstrations, sharpshooting challenges, and reviews. All in her maid dress. You can imagine what her fanbase consists of.

Finny and Bard - joint prank channel with the occasional DIY video. most of the pranks backfire on them. All of the DIY backfires on them. They are beloved as the least problematic prank channel ever, and for generally being lovable losers.

Lizzie - bladed weapons demonstration/ history channel and lolita fashion vlogger. Think that one pole-dancing archer on tiktok for the vibe. Super popular with women and girls.

Snake - a snake care and vlog channel. People find his 'talking for the snakes' bit cute. All of his videos either have heavy comment moderation or the comments are turned off entirely because of the fetishists.

William and Grell - true crime podcast. It was William's only until Grell posted a rant on his channel that got more views than all of his other vids combined. William suffers, Grell flirts, the comments section continuously plans their wedding.

Prince Soma - travel vlogger and mukbang channel. Only about 1/4 of his audience realizes that everything he eats on his channel is made by Agni.

Agni - cooking channel. Think Amaury Guichon (chocolate guy.) Half of the audience is screaming about how he's making whatever he's making, the other half is screaming about how hot he is.

Lau and Ran Mao - lock picking and prank/illusion videos. (granted, some of the illusion involves the audience being distracted by Ran Mao, and the rest is her editing, but she's very proud of that editing.)

Ran Mao - stone faced let's plays on her own channel that Lau doesn't know about. She's a top tier player in basically every battle royale style game, but most people watch her videos to see her get flustered over romantic choices in rpgs. (not the sexy ones, the cute ones. She'll be stone faced through a sex scene, but a cute first kiss in a high school dating sim? she's hiding under her blanket.)

Undertaker - badjokesbyjeff but in a video format... so basically a reddit meme channel. He's got the same vibes as The Click.

I'm still working on Last Hourglass and I am haunted, and I hope to keep poking at my silly Superman/Martian Manhunter shipfic, but other than that I'm hoping to have more brainspace to focus on my own books, I'm not really into anything media-wise enough right now to have any new fic ideas

(And I guess technically I have an unfinished Criminal Minds fanfic lurking somewhere, but let's be honest I don't think that's ever gonna get updated xD)

Last Hourglass:

(Breathe in, breathe out.) (Feel the air in your lungs, and know you are you.) . . . ...Yes. Yes. He is Donnie. Just Donnie. And neither the Krang nor the ghosts of the future have any power over him anymore.

I'm only posting the tail end of it, but the entire corrupted-Donnie dream sequence from chapter 15 is my favorite thing I've written for Last Hourglass by a long shot. It's the culmination of all the other chaotic formatting nonsense that came before and it was such a struggle to write and format but it was SO worth it

I am haunted:

"Usually I am nothing more than a part of you. Even now I am not an entity of my own autonomy and purpose. I am you, just... refracted. Dislocated. You begged for a way to fix things. You called upon the deepest reserves of your own mystic power, and your family Ninpo, and this is the result. You wanted to break the hourglass, and so it has been done." The spirit opens his hands to the void around them. "This is your soul, shattered across time. And you - your linear memory, your conscious existence - are the sand flowing free."

This passage from chapter 1 is just. It's everything. The groundwork of what is to come. The proper introduction to George my beloved. And it perfectly showcases the theme behind the Last Hourglass series title - the manifestations of time and how it corrupts and influences the characters, and in turns is corrupted and influenced by them (mostly Mikey)

Pride Parade:

There is no physical heart inside of J'onn whose beat can skip, whose pulse can quicken. There is a pulse within him, make no mistake, but it is something so much less constrained than a vertebrate cardiovascular system. It is the current upon which his cognition floats. The tether between his metamorphic molecules. It is humming fast, a tremor in the psychostrata. (If five centuries of silence and isolation taught J'onn anything, it is that grief and hope become indistinguishable from another, after enough time.)

I just think this one perfectly encapsulates the bittersweetness that permeates the entirety of what is essentially a rarepair shipfic about going to a pride parade

Reading the Info Cards

The top row of each sheet is: 1) A label card with the official Tier name & associate colors, 2&3) graphs breaking down the 16 OCs by creation date, gender distribution, and what they were originally created for, and 4) an ordered Roster list of who’s on the sheet.

The name they go by is in the upper left. Their full name including titles are at the bottom. The only mistake I’ve spotted (& not fixed) is Angel’s name.

The two images are their reference chibi, and at least one piece of artwork of them where they’re drawn accurate to design i.e. not a chibi. There’s a few exceptions where art was no available.

The right side is quick stats: age, height, body type, pronouns, and birthday as relevant to an Earth calendar.

The colors used in formatting are their image color (background) and semi-official secondary colors (labels). Some OCs have more colorful cards while some have plainer cards; that’s intentional. OC Symbols in the lower left are in their secondary image color when possible.

Prismatic World [minted in 2011]

Their original references were traced art on lined paper. I could only fit eight per page, so that’s why there’s sixteen. In early references they were the Primary Sixteen: my nearest and dearest characters of that era. Their group name evokes the primary colors cast by light through a prism representing the “rainbow” of characters. As a group, they’re associated with primary colors especially red. Aisling is their first member & leader in cross-canon stuff.

Pastel Universe [minted in 2017]

When I did ask memes pre 2017 I’d sometimes include a few extras: Mana, Araminta, Senga, and Haoniyao. I’ve since retired Senga but the rest became foundation members of Tier 2. In the long development period & their early use, they were called the Secondary Sixteen. Their group name evokes more muted tones popular in image colors for the group. As a group, they’re associated with pastel secondary colors, especially salmon & mint. Araminta or Oriurim is their leader is cross-canon stuff.

Yose Atsume Ballet [minted in 2017]

On a whim, I decided to take all sixteen characters from my three magical girl projects and put them in a Tier together so I could focus on developing them more as characters. All OCs in this tier are from Meiseki DREAMS, Ichimatsu DOLLS, or Hagane FLOWERS. The group name (寄せ集めバレエ; “mish-mash” ballet) reflects the naming scheme of their individual projects & invokes the image of a more hodgepodge kind of collection. As a group, they’re associated with deep blue or dark red. Team leaders Sagiso, Maria, or Haruna function as their leader in cross-canon stuff in that order of priority.

Nacreous Galaxy [minted 2020]

A final round-up of fresh faces as well as older characters that were considered for Tier 1 or Tier 2 but didn’t make the cut. Unlike other Tiers, they’re listed in the order that they were added to Tier 4. Their group name was almost Iridescent or Holographic Galaxy, but Nacreous won out. It’s meant to evoke rainbows in a “trendy” way to reflect the modern and more defined visuals of their character designs as most of them did not require design updates. As a group, they’re associated with light pink, white, or faded rainbows. Shiha or Tien could be considered their leader in cross-canon stuff.
