The clock reads 3:27 AM.

Far too late for you to be awake, but sleep has escaped you once again and you’re not a fan of laying in bed just tossing and turning all night. So you slipped out of your lover’s arms—which is a feat in itself considering the iron grip he has—and went down to the kitchen. What else are you supposed to do at 3 AM? You don’t want to work on answering emails or anything like that, that’s for sure, and besides, you didn’t have much to eat the day prior anyway because you were too busy. Might as well.

You keep your steps light through the house that’s filled with silence, moving so quietly it’s like you were never there. Each room is bathed in the darkness of night, save for the massive window-wall in the living room that bleeds into the kitchen. Moonlight filters through, giving things a pale glow. BB is one of those things, the cat having followed you downstairs. His black and silvery fur reflects the moon, making him seem like a little star if he stands in the light rays at just the right angle.

You stand in the wide kitchen, hands on your hips, wondering what to do. BB gives a curious meow, winding around your legs. “Shh- I’m thinking.” You mutter. Cereal? No. Muffin? Also no. Oatmeal? Definitely not. You have just about everything you could want in here and yet your mind is annoyingly blank.

You perk up at the sound of footsteps and then there’s strong arms around you, one crossed against your chest, a warm hand coming up to lightly grip your jaw and leave kisses peppered along your neck. You lean into the gentle touches like a cat. You’re not surprised he showed up, he always does. Whenever you’re awake in the middle of the night, he’s awake minutes later. It’s endearing, having someone miss you so deeply even in their dreams.

“Sweetheart,” Kylo mumbles against your skin, clearly still half asleep, “you have a conference in the morning.”

You huff and resist the urge to roll your eyes. Even without most of his wits about him, he still pesters you about work. You have a secretary who does that enough—with him around it’s like you don’t even need one. Sure he’s kept you from missing more than a few sponsorship meetings, but that’s besides the point. Your head falls back onto his shoulder. “Couldn’t sleep. Also I was hungry.”

He hums, taking the opportunity to kiss your cheek. “Then I’ll make you something.”

You tense, turning yourself around and pushing him away as a result, much to his dismay. “What? No, no, you go back to bed. You had a long day.” You say, trying to be stern. Your hand cups his cheek, thumb rubbing along the freckled skin. You see the darkness beneath his eyes; his job hasn’t been kind recently. You consider returning to bed just for his benefit so that he’ll sleep, even if it’ll leave you lying awake staring at the ceiling for hours.

He doesn’t give you a chance to do such a thing, pulling you close again and resting his head in the crook of your neck. You feel his sigh blow across your skin; it makes a shiver run down your spine. “I don’t want you to burn down our kitchen.”

You scoff, incredulous. “I think I can handle it. You have no faith in your wife.”

“Last time I did, the house smelled like burnt chicken for the whole day.” He says pointedly. You pout, and he straightens to peck your lips, begrudgingly making you smile. “I’m already up, let me do this.”

Kylo leaves it unmentioned, but you both know he won’t be able to go back to sleep unless you do either. You find how clingy he is at night to be pretty cute; he’s like a puppy that can’t stand being away from you for more than two seconds. You sigh. “Fine.”

“Good.” He says, heading towards the fridge. “What do you want then?”

You have no response because you were working on trying to figure that out before he came in, and you were ultimately unsuccessful. But it seems that’s not a problem for him—probably because he could cook whatever he thinks of and you… can’t. “Eggs on toast?” He asks, already pulling out the egg carton.

Your eyes light up, hands clasping together enthusiastically. “Oooh yeah that sounds good.”

He smirks knowingly, tossing you the loaf of bread and flicking on the overhead stove light. “I can trust you to toast bread, right?”

You glare at him in mock anger. “I don’t know, can you?”

He huffs a laugh and leaves you to your own devices, that being the toaster. You pop two slices of the thicker bread between the slots while he works on the eggs, buttered pan situated on the stovetop. You turn on the speaker that sits on the counter, gentle music flitting through the kitchen. You scoop up BB and hold him like a baby in your arms, his legs flailing as he accepts his fate. You hum along to the tune, dancing around on the linoleum floors, socks making it easy to slide. Kylo hooks an arm around your waist when you go by, bringing you in to kiss the top of your head. You smile, warmth buzzing in your chest.

BB gets spooked when the toaster finally goes off, scrabbling out of your hold and hurrying from the kitchen. You take the toast and put the pieces on plates, with Kylo’s being a bit more toasted than yours, just how he likes it. The eggs are finished around the same time, their smell filling the air and making your stomach growl. Kylo carefully slides them from the pan onto the toast, lightly peppered and cooked perfectly, of course.

You two take the late night snacks into the living room, sitting comfortably against each other on the couch, his warmth bleeding into yours. This was exactly what you needed; warm, tasty food, and simply enjoying the presence of your partner.

“Thank you,” you mumble around a mouthful, head bumping against his shoulder.

“Mm.”

You finish your egg on toast rather quickly, where he takes a bit longer, as usual. You feel your body droop while you wait for him, eyes burning with a sudden tiredness, like sleep has been waiting for the right moment to creep in and get you. It’d be very easy to just fall asleep on the couch…

Kylo doesn’t let you though, instead scooping you up into his arms with annoying ease after setting the plates on the table. You can get them in the morning. “Back to bed for you.” He says as your arms come up around his neck. You can’t find it in yourself to argue. You’re carried upstairs and to your shared bedroom, BB eagerly following behind. He jumps on the bed first, meowing in a way that tells you to hurry up.

Kylo sets you down gently, a whine coming from your throat when he separates from you, even though it’s only for a second. Then he’s next to you under the covers, pulling you into his chest and securing his arms around you once again. You drape one of your own arms over his middle, lightly dancing your fingers over his ribs, humming happily. He sighs in content, murmuring something loving that you can’t quite hear against your hair. BB is curled against your back, purrs rumbling.

With everything feeling right in the world, sleep is quick to claim you both.

Interview with Michael Sheen

What made you say yes to being a part of The Assembly?

I said yes to being a part of The Assembly because it was just such an extraordinary and interesting idea. Then reading about the original French series, it just sounded so extraordinary, different and potentially a very revealing way to approach the tried and tested interview process, but obviously it is a lot more than just being an interview. The interview part of it is just one aspect of the project and I think there is still a lot of confusion, ignorance and fear around people with any kind of difference. I think being able to be involved in a project like this could maybe break down some of those barriers.

How is this different from any other TV show you’ve been a part of?

It’s very much unfiltered and that’s really exciting and quite nerve wracking for that reason! So much on TV is sort of smoothed out and filtered and made safe and this, certainly in the making of it, felt very not that! All the better and more refreshing for it too. I know a lot of work is put into the research and preparation for a show like this, but in terms of the actual questions being asked and the experience that you have in all being together when you’re filming, it feels very unpredictable in a really good way and really lead by the people taking part, which is terrific.

How did you feel going into filming?

Well I didn’t really have anything to go on, so I was excited. Sometimes when I’m going to be interviewed, I know what the interview is going to be about, I have a vague idea of the questions that will come up, I know the sort of things that I need to get across about what I’m there to talk about. But with this, I really had no idea what I was going to be asked, so I had to be prepared for everything and anything, there was a kind of freedom in that I suppose. Because of the unfiltered nature of what was going to happen and not being able to anticipate what might be asked, it was a little nerve wracking yes, but I was mainly just very excited!

Did your experience differ from what you were expecting and if so how?

Well I didn’t know what to expect really, so it’s not that it wasn’t what I was expecting because you can’t expect anything! There's no way you can expect anything because you just don’t know what’s going to happen, and because it is so unfiltered and unpredictable in terms of what might happen, where things might go, how people might be feeling on the day. For all the difficult questions that got asked at times, it just felt very loving and joyful and that everyone was very happy and excited to be there even though people were nervous or had anxiety at different times. There was a genuine feeling of community and I felt very welcomed into that community and ready to play so to speak, and you have to be ready to play. I felt very safe and looked after and it was just really, very funny as well – there was lots of laughter and wonderful things that people asked, responded to and performed, I mean I wasn’t expecting all of that, that was just wonderful! So many moments that I’ll never forget.

How does this compare to any other interview you’ve experienced?

It’s so unfiltered! The closest thing I can say is The One Show, where you go on to talk about one thing and then they ask you about everything else that’s going on on the show, so you get a question about your favourite bus route, then they ask you about otters! There’s an extraordinary pinball effect of questions and that’s the closest I could describe, but The Assembly is that x100. It really is extraordinary and that’s very unlike any other interview I’ve done really, usually everything is meant to follow on logically and have a kind of smoothness and polish to it, and this is just really raw and unfiltered and uncensored and I love that, I thought that was wonderful.

What can viewers expect from the show?

I imagine it will be very funny and I think quite moving. I was quite moved at times by seeing how much people had to struggle to overcome certain things they were dealing with in order to ask questions at times. That was uplifting. I think it will be different, it will be thought provoking I hope, and challenging in certain ways; challenging certain kinds of myths and stereotypes I think and ultimately just really entertaining and fun and joyful. I can’t really remember what I said, so I don’t know what people will learn about me... but it’s not about me, it’s about that fantastic group of people, but I certainly got a huge amount out of it too and I hope an audience will as well.

(His mom loves it) He was really flustered about physical touch in the beginning but now he can hold your hand without fainting! Aren Kobayasu- i feel like he already knows how to play an instrument. Either a wind/horn instrument like a trombone, the drums, or a fucking electric guitar. I KNOW y'all play together. That's one of the main things you guys do together. You two definitely make playlists for each other as well. He buys you new headphones when he notices yours being affected by how long you've had them (such a sweetie) He does get a little embarrassed by PDA sometimes, but mostly, he's all over you (and you're not complaining) He laughs at your dancing but then he'll dance worse than you lol P.S- He thinks you look goofy in your headphones but in an endearing way ♡

Ochaco Uraraka- she used to think she couldn't play any instruments because her quirk got in the way :( but you got her those weird gloves that only have some fingers and now she can!! :D She supports you so much, she's your #1 fan! You'll practice and she'll just sit there and listen before showering you in kisses and praise <3  I feel like she wears headphones a lot too, but not as much as you do. (No one wears them as much as you do) She definitely loves hugging you, but won't hug you after a performance because you're sweaty lol. While you're performing, shes screaming and holding up a sign that she made for you 😭 shes so cutee! She can dance well because of the performance with the class she did, so you look extra goofy next to her ♡

Tenya Iida- If you play, perform, and listen to a kind of alt style of music, I feel like he'd call it satanic lmaoo HE WOULD CALL YOU A HOOLIGAN HAHSH But if you enjoy classical music or mainstream music, he is on one knee immediately. Someone he can show off to his parents! He doesn't wear headphones because he's proud of his classical and mainstream music, so he doesn't hide it. Still gets flustered over holding your hand in public lol (super soft kisses AHH) He will definitely do anything for you, you have this man wrapped around your damn finger 💀 he loves study dates with omg, I just know it! Honestly, I am not a shipper- but to each his own and I’m not here to judge others. I do really feel bad for Sam over all this mess about the letter he signed. I really believe that there’s a strong possibility that someone he cares for and/or trusts reached out to him to sign it and he may not have read it critically or completely. Whatever really happened, it just bothers me that no matter what he does he cannot win. People were upset when he said nothing, then upset when he signed the letter, and now upset that he apologized.

I may be a really naive person myself, but I just don’t believe the man had any ill intent. I think he probably doesn’t know a great deal about the politics, religious issues, or global policies of the region. I think he really just wants to advocate for peace and to provide for humanitarian needs. It’s sad that he’s getting such terrible treatment on SM, but I haven’t seen the same things directed at Jon B or Caitlin O.

Obviously I don’t know Sam and can only judge him by what I have seen of him, but I have only seen a guy who is nice, considerate, and kind to others. I have never seen him advocate for any kind of violence. I just hope he knows that many of us out here see his kind heart and feel bad for him right now. Sure, he probably does need to educate himself a bit more before saying anything else, but I just don’t believe his motives were bad. Many people feel upset about what is happening and helpless because they don’t know what to do. I think it shows that Sam is human like all of us.

Makes me imagine a scenario that could have happened in book 4 where Kalim holds a banquet and the tweels convince him to at least have a bite. And Azul DOES, and we get a moment where he praises Jamil for his cooking and Jamil getting to be proud about receiving praise from someone else... it's so simple why can't they let him grow... that's all it would have taken to show he's genuinely progressing. The same way Cater/Trey say "Riddle's been way more chill with the rules lately" (paraphrase) they could have simply had Azul say "We already had lunch?" and one of the tweels go "Oh yeah, you did eat a decent meal already." in their own way.... he's not immediately fixed but he ate enough to make THEM happy with it so that must mean something!?

Azul isn't necessarily better altogether but he's making progress and that's what counts... makes me wanna go into the messy aftermath of his overblot sm (if you don't mind ydaz though I can rec a no thank you helping by siffy) also stares at ch. 11 of Part of your world angrily because it wont write itself for me and it's the only thing stopping me from starting book 3 and delving into all of azul's misery

Also... Azul talking about octopodes more happily. Azul being willing to share details about his childhood...

But yeah there is one subtle example of this (very subtle, to the point where I wonder if im just overanalyzing this) in the glomas event where azul is actually willing to eat a croissant even if he's still holding back... wish they did more though esp in book 4

Also quick yap time I feel like book 4 just didn't really... show azul improving all that much. It showed his true intellect when he isn't bogged down by 1 million issues, yeah, but at the same time it didn't actually dive into his improvement all that much. Book 3 showed Leona being more openly kind, book 2 showed Riddle being less strict, Book 5 showed Jamil being more honest, 6 showed Vil actively admitting his errors and being willing to give up his own beauty, and I haven't read book 7 yet so I can't comment on Idia but from what little I've seen it does show him working with others so... progress.

But Azul? Azul's improvement is never actively portrayed. You could say his plan was better than his plan in book 3 but that's about it.

Anyways I think Azul should've gotten more open growth... feel free to argue or yell at me about things I got wrong etc.
