Instead of the Ric situation happening after KGBeast shot Dick, Dick died for a few seconds but came back because of how much previous exposure he's had to ghosts, the Lazarus Pits, death magic, and multiple gods/demigods. All of this combined caused him to become a halfa. It was a steep learning curve, but he managed to overcome it because of all of his connections.
He goes on a flight by himself in his ghost form one night and runs into Danny, who had been moonlighting as a fortune teller. Neither figure out the other's a halfa until a ghost cat burglar tries to steal from Danny.

Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain was hotly anticipated and perfection. Nina Wadia as the Mother of the Three-In-One was wholly unexpected and most welcome. Meera Syal as Ric the Vic was likewise wholly unexpected and an utter delight. All three actors in the same show brought back fond memories of Goodness Gracious Me.

it takes ace three days to convince vanya (marta) to go to her friends (ricardo) for help. to finally trust them w the truth
#partially bc she is still very limited in what/how she can communicate w him#and also her precog powers are still weak and this isnt like. imminent danger so its harder to get him to notice/See it#but also. he is so so scared he is not sleeping at All those three days he is paranoid and anxious and#its bc whatever is Him is Dangerous. ace (s precog powers) showed him that. this is. i do try to keep my team (somewhat) evenly leveled, so that means swapping out when i can
