Hello! I'm so glad you're back. And I totally feel you, summer jobs are absolutely brutal. I've been pulling 12s at the hospital and I think I've forgotten how it feels to not be exhausted.
Could I request a Percy Jackson match up from you? But instead of anything romantic, I was wondering if you could place me in a cabin depending on which god you think best matches my personality?
In the interest of keeping things concise and aesthetic (aka not flooding your ask with a wall of text), I have my form pinned to my blog. I really hope it wouldn't be too much trouble. I just figured this way I can spare you from multiple asks.
Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words! And make sure to take care of yourself too, honey. That’s a lot of time to be working without time for yourself!
The cabin I chose for you is …
Hecate!
Okay so
I bounced back and forth between a LOT of other cabins, specifically Athena, Aphrodite, and Demeter
So if any of those resonate more please let me know fs
But overall! I think Hecate offers a solid combination of the aspects that led me to each of those cabins.
Intelligence is a major vibe from your personality, and I think that while people usually use that as an emphasis for Athena, children of Hecate also possess a more intuitive type of intelligence as well, which suits you nicely in my opinion.
And given what we see with some of her children in the books and general mythology, we know that dramatics and fun aren’t exactly beyond her bloodline!
So basically, your more circus-y hobbies such as knife-throwing wouldn’t be completely out of place and would most definitely get to flourish here.
And add to the fact that mist manipulation and illusion would just be another performer-esque thing to put in your repertoire? Amazing for sure
Your dark academia aesthetic would also fit in here imo, given the more mystical and complex elements of Hecate’s field of powers and her general domain. It just gives off a very magical and knowledgeable vibe that gravitates towards a more mental than physical domain, like Demeter, which I had thought more of with your interests in nature and baking.
But considering the correlation between nature and magic, I think that makes for an even more solid foundation!
In all, Hecate seems like exactly the sort of place you would be able to fit in. With a more “apathetic”, less open to emotional vulnerability sort of persona that suits her blasé personality (and reliance on crossroads with multiple paths), you would easily fit right in with her and her children!

What would Baby Viserys’ spirit animal be? Would it be a raccoon like Daemon’s?
Me and @xenonwitch decided on a fox as baby Viserys's spirit animal. And btw like she wrote 90% of this X'D thank you Queen!
Foxes are cute yet sly. Sneak around and get things done in the background (omg I did a rhyme!). They also have charisma and just like Viserys, they are brilliant but subtle. And again VERY cute. And very resourceful.
*His entire family being dumb AF*
Baby Viserys *silently judging*

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.
Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.
It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?
Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

I just wanna say bc I KNOW you're somewhere on tumblr, to the teenage girl who attended Take Your Kid To Work Day at an office building in Ontario, Canada circa 2013 and had a conversation with a middle aged woman in which you showed her your Black Veil Brides fanart and fanfics and ship content and told her about different fanfic tropes including a/b/o verse bc she happened to know who Panic! at The Disco and Fallout Boy were and thus you felt the need to show her your bandblr ship art, that was my fucking mother and I had to clarify all that to her including looking my mother in the eye and trying to explain a/b/o verse without sounding like a lunatic.
It's been 10 years and I still regularly sent evil energies in your direction. Since you'd be probably two years younger than me and thus legally an adult now, please know if this post reaches you it's on sight.
