Beetlejuice is my favorite musical, so I gotta choose one from it. The lyrics for the songs in this musical are so good, but especially with Dead Mom. The bridge where Lydia turns all soft because of how much she loved her mom gets me everytime. (fun fact for those who dont know, the voice actors for Pentious/Adam and Rosie were the OG actors for the title character and the step mom)

Lastly, I havent actually watched the Waitress yet(I'm talkin about bootlegs ofc) but the soundtrack's really good. The voice actor for Niffty was also there, so you might wanna check it out just to hear her sing, she's phenomenal. This song is undoubtedly the best of the bunch, and there's actually a version song by Lucifer's VA that is absolutely heart-breaking, but I'm putting the original version in the post for the intended message of the song because its important. Despite acting as an improvised buffer between the two rivals, Sonic and Shadow’s incredulity synchronized together; and they promptly glared at each other, with Sonic raising his fist in a miffed manner.

You didn’t think it’d be that big of a deal, to be honest.

“Well, since Sonic offered to go shopping with me, I told him I’d take him out as thanks. And then, when I ran into you, Shadow, I couldn’t help but want to go with you, too,” you twittered, doubtful you were making any sense at all as to why you’d try to bring them together in any capacity.

Squeezing your hand, in what you surmised to be a reassuring gesture, Shadow nodded as he listened to you attentively. Was he happy about the situation? No; he genuinely thought he was going to spend some time with you, but he wasn’t about to leave you alone with Sonic, either. “You must’ve really wanted me here, huh?” he baited with a smug simper.

“Well, they invited me first for a reason,” Sonic curtly remarked, pouting as he shamelessly took the taunt. The cute clothes adorning you were all thanks to his appraisal, and the blue bow on your choker was Sonic’s tiny way of staking his claim on you… he was allowed to do that as part of his reward, right? “Hey, [Name], you said they’re serving chili dogs?!”

“I usually just take my coffee black,” Shadow divulged as he leaned over to read from your menu despite the fact that he had one of his own before him.

Poking his tongue out in disgust, Sonic retorted, “I bet you’re one of those guys that think that’ll impress your crush~” And he was promptly met with a biting scowl, one that Sonic concluded that if looks could kill, he’d be extinguished right where he sits.

“I actually wanted to get the new menu items. They have a heavy emphasis on love and hearts,” you exclaimed, patently bashful about your own suggestion as the two hedgehogs with you immediately fixed their eyes on that specific section.

“Oh, we can share this, [Name],” Shadow softly said, pointing out a lovey-dovey parfait meant to share between lovers, except… “—Ow, dammit!” From underneath the table, Sonic harshly kicked Shadow in the shin.

You were understandably perplexed by the abrupt outburst, but in order to avoid you catching on to anything, Shadow quickly said, “I changed my mind, so I’ll take your recommendation.”

Nodding in spite of your own confusion, the three of you decided to get a plethora of things and share amongst yourselves. Well, you definitely got Shadow his black coffee and Sonic a non-caffeinated tea.

It wasn’t too long after that your desserts began piling up on the table, overlaying all the free space with the abundance of it all. “This might’ve been overkill, [Name]...” Sonic chuckled, beads of sweat dripping from his head.

“Better start eating!” you cheered, enraptured with the tantalizing treats and already shifting your focus off the boys and onto devouring as much as you could.

Shadow wasn’t a fan of sweet things—you didn’t count!—but for you, he’d sample a few things. And by a few things, he meant whatever you had; so whenever you’d pluck something off a plate, he’d follow suit and do the same.

Fun fact in my town there’s this Mexican restaurant that’s family owned and run by this lady named Rosie and I’ve been going there for at least six years. We call it Rosie’s even tho it’s not the official name of the restaurant. Rosie has been there for us in hard times and we’ve been there for her.

In the past year, she deemed herself my Tía, and me her sobrina. now everyone who works in that restaurant is a Tía or Tío to me, and we’re family. Even when my own family isn’t there for me, I know they’ll be there.

I am really motivated to learn more Spanish because of them. A few months back, they got a new employee, and when I tried to introduce myself in English, andhe didn’t understand me. I instantly switched to Spanish and learned his name, having a short conversation with him. it reminded me of the whole reason I’m so passionate about learning a new language. Being able to communicate with people who don’t speak my mother tongue.

Peaches wasn't expected, but a welcome surprise to Bruce and Brandy. They were more shocked that she was Troll sized, unlike her older siblings. Peaches was a taaaad spoiled and coddled cuz of it, especially growing up around such larger creatures.

Peaches works as a comedian in Trollstopia, hosting parties and tellings jokes for all to hear. She LOVES to make people laugh and see them happy, and will go out of her way to cheer Trolls up if she sees them down or upset.

Peaches is very close with her family and a total daddy's girl. She loved having siblings so much bigger than her, meant she could hop on their heads and never walk anywhere herself! As a kid, she'd often nap in Brandy's hair.

Music wise, Peaches is a pop Troll through and through. She loves how upbeat and wild the music can be, and will often perform songs after a comedy show.

- Peaches is currently dating a Remix Troll named Mirage. Remix Trolls are very rare, and often feared for their frightening appearance, but Peaches just thinks he's the bees knees!

- Peaches moved out when she turned 20, wanting to move to Trollstopia and perform there. LOTS of tears from Papa Bruce when she left (Branch sends him frequent updates on how she's doing)

- Peaches is closest with her cousin, Rosebud. Since they're so close in age, the two basically grew up together. Peaches is the only one who can call Rosebud, Rosie.

- When relaxing, Peaches can be found covorting around town with her cousins Rosebud and Fern. The three love gossiping and talking smack about passerbys for fun.

AND THATS PEACHES!!! I wanted to make a Bruce and Brandy kid, despite them already having like 13 kids. So I just decided to make one anyway, but make her a Troll! Don't be fooled by her super sweet appearance, she can be a total jackass when she wants to be lol

Holiday:

crosby is a Christmas guy. Grew up in a house in the Midwest who's mom baked cookies and treats especially at Christmas. He loves the lights and the decorations and the excuse to kiss his loves more under the mistletoe.

Rosie likes Purim a lot, the costumes and games and parties. (Take this with a grain of salt because I am not well educated on Jewish holidays, but I know I heard that Purim is one of the more fun holidays)

They enjoy participating in each other's traditions and holidays. I think during the war the whole point of the fight was to prevent evil and promote the ideas behind the beauty of cultures and peoples and traditions.

Letters: I dont think I could really pick one above the other? They are both obviously very talented with their words. Rosie reads like crazy, and Crosby becomes a lit professor or something. Language is important and special for them.

Films:

Oh rosie is a cinephile 110% he will go see every new movie in the theater. In fact it becomes him that other lawyers and employees at his firm go to for movie recommendations. That being said, he prefers comedies to anything else that's too dramatic. Like he will 100% go see a movie he won't enjoy for the sake of not being a quitter and seeing things through. And he can say he's seen everything once.

Crosby will go to the theater if the film sounds good. I take him the type to love all sorts of movies - comedies, romance, drama, historic. He gets teased by his wife and rosie for when he tears up at the sad and romantic parts - but don't worry it's a cute teasing to get him to blush those precious pinks

Dessert:

Is it too on the nose to say rosie likes cheesecake? 😆 I get the vibe rosie has weird taste in sweets. He will eat the ones he ma makes and say they are wonderful, but I don't think he'd be into sweets in general. I think he would love dark chocolate tho 🤔

Croz loves a warm, gooey butter cake (if you haven't had one you're missing out btw) his mom made it, and taught the Missus how to make it. So the night he shipped out his wife bid him a farewell with the taste of butter cake on her lips. He began to crave it during the war and would brag about "gosh you should taste my wife's butter cake - it would send you straight through the clouds boys". It's definitely croz that eats his weight in stuff. He's working on his dad bod lol

basically i’ve been thinking a lot abt lucy gray’s makeup. idk if this is interesting to anyone else but here are my thoughts

• no false lashes only bc idk where she’d even get them. in my mind tho lucy gray has long and thick enough eyelashes for mascara to make them look pretty, even if it’s not something that jumps out to u when she’s actually on stage

• if doing dance has taught me anything it’s to have hella dramatic eye makeup that consist of neutral colors, but i think it’d be rlly fun if lucy gray wore colorful eyeshadow. like a shimmery green! or a pastel pink! or just like close her eyes, point at a spot on her dress, and match her eyeshadow to the color she lands on. i think this would also help balance out the fact that her lashes are naked

• speaking of eyeshadow, i think she’d use black eyeshadow to do her eyeliner instead of an actual pencil / liquid liner. OR, if she does have neutral colors for her eyeshadow, maybe some colorful eyeliner?? 👀

• rosy cheeks!! yk how ppl who wear makeup kinda have a signature look? like for example for me the first thing you’d notice abt my makeup is my lashes, for one of my friends you’d notice how absolutely cunt their contour is, others their cool looking eyeliner etc etc. for lucy gray it’d be her blush. maybe some on the tip of her nose too. like stage makeup is supposed to be rlly dramatic anyway so the audience can pick up on it but i think her blush would be esp dramatic

• speaking of a signature look i think she’d skip out on highlighter / anything that makes her skin look dewey. maybe it was just a me problem but before performances my highlighter would look good but then after performances i would get gross and sweaty and my face would look more greasy than dewey no matter how i prepped it beforehand. but in the event this rlly is just a me problem i think she’d dab some on her brows too i love when girls do that

• also, glitter!! my current fave thing to do rn is take a gold shimmery eyeshadow and brush it across my under eye area. also maybe a white pencil across her waterline not completely sure tho.

• also not completely sure if she’d draw on freckles but i DO know that it would look cute esp since she’s a country singer bc i feel like country music and freckles are literally one in the same

• lipstick! anything that has a glossy finish, tbh she’d rock any color

okay that’s it! disclaimer that i haven’t done this makeup on myself so me being like “this would look so good!!” is purely based on the vision i have in my head and not from actually trying it out. also tbh i’m not rlly sure how restricted their makeup use would be. considering that they’re performers it’d prob be something they’d want to invest in, but idk how much of a market there would be for that kinda stuff in d12. but if anyone else has thoughts on this i’d looove to hear them!!!

Rosie, a friend suggested her some twenty years ago for this elite comic book RP guild. She's the only one I kept from that time. I never heard of her before that & when I read her I remember saying 'she's such an angsty little shit. I love her.'. Her background is like casebook 'what happens if you have a poor support system' in a way.

Ryouta (daken/fang canonly), well he's that guilty pleasure villain everyone enjoys reading about for me I suppose. In another way I get curious about nurture vs nature. Which is something intertwined with his chara i think. (it's a dark past) What inspired me to write him, well he had a slow progression away from his villainess nature you could say. And I am a sucker for growth. It was his appearance's in All New Wolverine that made me go 'oh i'm going to write him'.

Somnus somehow turns stabby villains into teddy bears and i thought it was hilarious.

Bobby, well I wanted a silly gay polyamorous muse & I had been itching to write him for awhile but at the same time wanted to write with a Bobby more so held off. Gave in about a year back i think?

Malicia, well she's pretty AU of one of my favourite comic charas growing up. And well I'm a tad nervous writing her main verse so I just did something with a twist for fun.

TJ I've written a few times over the years. Normally when a friend has me going 'Hell yeah!'. One time I believe a friend was making a Blink (the bestie). This time around I started talking to a few friends about her & then got to talking with Armin about her relationship with her dad. A similar thing happened with Billy. I ended up bringing him back after talking with a friend who writes his twin Tommy. As for originally, I sadly do not recall.

Cloud, well as I said i'm a sucker for growth & his story is full of it. I also enjoy picking apart ways people display or write PTSD & show how it can be displayed in society or be a danger creatively. I also have PTSD, which can range on my reactions to things depending on my environment. So in a way it's one of the ways I learn about myself. Though his mental state has more of a twist to it as he has the lifestream & Jenova influences. Which can come across as confusing as it can seem similar to different forms of DID.

I also have a disability involving memory and memory issues brought on from trauma. So it kinda pulled me in more, I normally don't write muses that are popular to write or I lose the want to write them quickly. Which is not the case with Cloud, he's my rule or norm breaker. (might be why I'm not writing Tifa or Zack tho I'll be honest)

^_^; So I have the habit, of writing detailed notes & accumulate data (websites, youtube videos, games/comics what have you). I normally write detailed dossiers but lately they turn into 10+ page essays so I've been slapping on wiki pages. Clouds is mostly how his mental state is, how it works & alters along with a lot of lore on locations and Materia to help myself & it's mostly jumbled quick notes with no flow. yeah i just went 'i'll put this over here for later'.

But I basically bury myself within a segment of lore to work it through my head a few times. Then I try to see if I can make it fit into how I feel I'd like to write the muse. Comics can be a bit tricky because there's no mainline writer or books get canceled, one writer makes what another put in place meaningless.

Then there's plotting while the thread is being written just to throw out ideas or okay things. There's also the excitement of eating popcorn just because I'm wondering if it'll turn tortuously cute or like a thriller in the next few goes depending on what's going on. xD

can i ask for your honest opinion on the djats characters? would love to hear your thoughts on camila, daisy, simone, and karen. maybe also warren.

camila - i would love her if she existed in a vacuum and not in a world where Taylor Jenkins Reid, a white woman, wrote a story where Camila as a woman of colour exists as this enduring symbol of moral fortitude to do emotional labour for white characters. like she exists to better the lives of all these white people while they disregard her feelings. her feelings only are important insofar as they help Billy and the others with their problems. the fact that she dies and her last act is to bring together her white husband with the white woman he fully admits on record to being more in love with is just infuriating. Just because she expresses herself within the confines of the subservient wife of colour that doesn't mean she isn't racialised in a truly disappointing way.

daisy - she's a fun amalgamation of a bunch of sad talented it girls from throughout the decades. don't think the novel or the show interrogate her privilege enough though and opt instead to be like "but it was so hard for her to have it so easy when you think about it." boo. boring. riley keough is a fun bit of meta casting tho hehe

Simone - I wouldn't want tjr to do it because I don't think she's very good at writing non-white experiences but it would have been nice to have Simone be more fleshed out and not just the Black Best Friend™. the book glosses over her being a pioneer in several genres of music but zeroes in on how she serves as Daisy's saviour and cheerleader. Bottom line is I would've loved just more insight into her as a character outside of Daisy.

Karen - adore Karen, my fellow childless by choice no long-term relationships no marriage pls leave me by myself LEGEND. no notes except if they'd made her gay and in love with Camilla and she and Karen left Daisy and Billy to their whatever that would have been so galaxy brained.

Warren - as someone who grew up with an older sister whose been a drummer and bassist in several bands, I've met several Warrens and can say he's a very accurate proximation of the bandmate whose mostly there for the music and stays out of the politics. Many times I'd read his parts like good for you, guy. Warren treats the band like a job more than a life and I like that about him.

Hate Graham, have nothing to say about it. Billy is annoying but integral to the plot and I ultimately find him an extremely tired overdone kind of character. I think the book and show demand way too much sympathy for him. He's the fucken Ted How I Met Your Mother of this story whose only interesting because he surrounds himself with interesting people. I have a soft spot for Sam Claflin though from watching Love Rosie every week for a year when I was depressy. Will it be enough to make Billy interesting to me? We shall see.
